We liked the friendly and quiet atmosphere. The room/sanitary is very clean and spacious. The host is very friendly and makes you feel as if you were at home. The breakfast was super, fresh and very tastfull. You can make coffee, tea in your own kitchenette next to the room. We alsof liked the view on the river nile from the terras.

Adel always has a very easy and honest smile, just like his entire family. Their 8 year old daughter Nour took us to see the sunset and was very friendly with us and their 12 year old son showed us how to fish in Lake Nasser. Adel was very helpful throughout our stay of just 1 day, keeping us company and giving us valuable tips about shops and activities, about the Nubian people and their homes. He also took us to lunch at a very beautiful restaurant, with Nubian architecture, full of art, where we had one of the best meals in Egypt (beef tajine) with portions suitable for Europeans and the staff was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to see the sunset or sunrise on Adel's boat, but we recommend this activity to all tourists because Lake Nasser, the surrounding nature and the temples have a unique beauty seen from the water. Adel's house is clean and fragrant, the room is spacious and comfortable. The patio is very relaxing at any time of the day, which makes drinking mint tea, smelling the roses or simply listening to the birds almost a sacred moment.

The landlord was particularly enthusiastic and offered to tell us what facilities could be used in the home, including the kitchen and the salon. The landlord also has free iced water in the fridge and free coffee, tea bags in the kitchen. The landlord recommended a place for dinner where is a very good Nubian restaurant. He dropped us off to the light show that evening and picked us up in time to our accommodation. The next morning we were sent to see the temple's festival of the sun at 4:00 am. The service was excellent! And they have three cute little children. The accommodation is very close to the temple, and there is an ATM nearby, which is very convenient.And there is a clean lake in front of the door, and the friend in the next room has gone diving. By the way,landlord offered us free breakfast which is very hearty and delicious.

This place ist the best stay in Abu Simbel! We had such a pleasant time there. The host is so welcoming and friendly. You can learn a lot about life and culture in Abu Simble. If you are tired from the trip and just want some time alone, I am also sure he will respect that. The place is located directly on lake Nasser. From the terrace, you have a great view on the Lake with the dessert dunes in the background. The view and the place in general looks much better than in some of the photos. You can even have a save swim in Lake nasser there. Drinking tea on the terrace in the evening in such a scenary is a magical experience. The host is very helpful with everything you want to do. He even brought us to the Bus Station, ensuring we take the right one. I am sure, when we look back on the trip in some years, our best memories will be about our stay at this place.

Exceptional hospitality shown by Abdel and Mona during our short stay. Out of the many places we stayed in Egypt over 2 weeks these hosts were the most genuine and welcoming people we met. The rooms are separate and include their own bathrooms (which were also very nice) and they connect to an entry room. A kitchen is also available for use. The family lives upstairs and are available if you need anything but do not disturb your privacy if that's what you need. They kindly drove us to get food, a store, and the temples which was a great service since the city can get very hot. They offered to make dinner (though we decided to try a nearby restaurant), made a delicious breakfast, and even made us some tea at night as the sun was setting. Beautiful sunset views by the water too. It was a true pleasure spending the day with them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone looking for an honest and close Egyptian family experience.

We stayed here for one night - super location overlooking Lake Nasser - 5 minutes drive from Abu Simbel. The hotel is very impressive set in its own private grounds and with a great pool area. The room was very spacious and tastefully furnished. Cool balcony with a view of the Lake. On checking in, we were upgraded to have breakfast included - this was great as it cost around $30 each. The breakfast buffet had a great variety to suit all tastes. Would definitely stay again if we could afford to!

The property design and landscaping is beautiful. The room design is Nubian style, large and comfortable. We were upgraded at arrival and had a terrace with wonderful sunset views. The hotel is very peaceful overlooking the lake. Perfect for relaxing. location is 10 min walk from Abu Simbel entrance. Egypt air has a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

Beautiful large room (suite), view on the lake. Pool area is an instagram view and well designed. Service was quick and professional. Friendly and responsive staff. Very close to Abu Simbel temple (20 minutes walk). Hotel manager very helpful to organize local trips - i did a 4x4 desert safari to wadi el-sabua/Daka temples. Warmly recommend this hotel.

Pleasant surprise-- sort of an oasis in the desert--I was surprised by the massive size of the resort compared to the rest of the sleepy little village. Not a blade of grass in the rest of the town and desert but beautiful manicured lawns at the resort. Multiple pools, coffee bar area, large air conditioned restaurant. Front desk staff were extremely helpful--all staff were very attentive.

Hany, the owner was the kindest, funniest and most helpful man. We went to lunch with him at his favorite restaurant and had the best fish meal ever. Then he walked us around town to visit his many friends and to help us do some shopping . He made a delicious breakfast and sent us photos he’d taken of us. His guesthouse, like Nubian homes, is very colorful inside. It’s difficult to find and not marked well on the outside but Google Maps works. It’s convenient to the main streets and very quiet.

Such a friendly place to stay for a night in Abu Simbel. Basic but comfortable. We had an amazing night, dinner with Hany. He is friendly, generous, and welcoming.

I absolutely loved my stay here! Hany is the best host, he really loves what he does and goes above and beyond for his guest! The area is very quiet and safe, very close to restaurants, coffee shops, the market and grocery shops. The neighbors are so friendly. The walk from the guest house to Abu Simbel is beautiful! I highly recommend taking a tour and boat ride with Hany, as a bonus he will take wonderful photos of you! If you're a solo female traveler I can't recommend this place enough. I was honestly nervous about being in Abu Simbel alone but after telling Hany this he offered to go with me to get food and showed me around the town. Another guest went too and after we went to see the sunset from a beautiful spot and walk around the markets together (if you go with Hany you will get the best prices). My two days here were the absolute highlight of my trip to Egypt. I can't recommend staying here enough!

Amazing host! Thank you so much Haney (I’m sorry if that’s not the correct spelling)! What a lovely person, always helpful, always friendly, he made us some amazing Nubian ginger coffee, loved it.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet side street, from where you can walk to the 2 temples of Abu Simbel in around 20 minutes. The host is very friendly and generous, for example bringing coffee/ tea or even something to eat at his own cost. He takes much care that you feel very well and I liked it much to talk with him. The room is clean, the bed good, but you should not expect a luxurious room. If you arrive by plane there is bus transfer to your accomodation free of charge.

It was just as wonderful as I had imagined. Dinner and breakfast were also delicious. The tajine pot was especially tasty. There was a bathtub in the room, and since it was very windy and cold at Abu Simbel Temple, it was nice to be able to soak in the bathtub when we got home. I asked a driver to drive me here from Aswan Airport, and he was very helpful. I am very grateful. I have been to Giza, Cairo, and Luxor, but The Nubian House in Abu Simbel was a place where time passed slowly, and we woke up to the birds singing. It was an unforgettable and wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much❤️

Great location and food. Not many options in Abu Simbel if you are staying overnight, and so this is a great choice. It's a bit rustic, but that is part of the charm and you pick this hotel for its location and character. The dinner we had was really good and lots of food, and so was the included breakfast (yogurt, bread, coffee, tea, omelet, falafel, cheese, and ful). Staff are friendly and helpful. Beds are firm, but rooms are clean and spacious.

Kabara Nubian House was perfect for our one-might stay in Abu Simbel. It is close to the temples. It had a delicious dinner and provided a box breakfast so we could be at the temples for sunrise. The decor is beautiful. I'm very glad we took the time to spend the night so we could visit the temples both in the afternoon and in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very cosy, the staff is welcoming, the rooms are very clean and spacious. the bed are comfortable, we were welcomed with a welcoming drink. The local market is near by.

If you visit Abu Simbel, you need to stay here The accomodation gives feeling of living in Nubian village type houses. Very beautiful Rooms are big, extremely clean. Beds are the most comfortable we slept on. Staff is very helpful and friendly Very close to Abu Simbel temple (5 mins drive) Breakfast is basic and homely. Omlette and bread basket with butter, jam and honey I liked the bread which is soft at top and crusty at bottom. Hot coffee or tea is provided

One the best accommodation we have stayed Egypt, absolutely amazing hospitality, 1000/100, you can’t imagine how passionate and helpful the staffs are, they probably are the best people we met in Egypt. Food is amazing, the breakfast is super fancy but very delicious. They sell tickets for the light show at the exact same price with the Abu Simbel Temple ticket office, and they can help arrange drivers to drive to drive guest from hotel to the temple and literally wait for them there after they finish and come out, with only 500 EGP! They driver is the single best driver we ever had in our 12 days Egypt trip, no joke, he is fluent in English and is very helpful, taking us to amazing local restaurants and explaining everything we saw on the way. I got scammed by the local hospital, where I had a rabies vaccine (another sad story) for 180 USD which is absurd, and on the receipt it says I had intensive care which is completely untrue and the hotel owner really helped me, by telling us what does the Arabic on the receipt says, and suggest us how to seek for support, such as visiting the tourism police, and we end up getting half of the money back. When we left, we even got an offer from the hotel where we had a private mini bus that takes us to Aswan for only 40 USD which is amazing price, even costing less than even a sedan on inDrive

Eskaleh eco lodge is a beautiful peaceful place just next to a quiet green corner of the lake and walking distance to Abu Simbel temple. The entire team together with one of the owners and family there is very helpful, kind and knowledgeable and made me feel like I was part of the family. The dinner on the terrace overlooking the green and water was amazing and I had one of the best fish curries I ever had. My room was very comfortable in a traditional building but with good ac and my own little terrace and his WiFi. There are plenty of spaces inside and outside inviting you to relax or socialise. I was very sad to leave .

Probably as atmospheric and authentic as it can get: The whole architecture and decoration was traditionally Nubian which created a very nice atmosphere but still provided all modern amenities (air condition, shower,...). Also the view on Nasser lake from the hotel terrace is nice. The rooms are all satisfyingly clean and all staff was really friendly and helpful with organising our trip back to Aswan. The Nubian dinner was fantastic - taste-wise and atmospherically with nice Nubian background music. The fish we had was excellently seasoned - the best we had during our travels.

The new rooms are very neat and tidy, have good bathrooms and a view of the lake from the front terrace. We were in the last room (room 5 or 6) which was very quiet and room was clean and bed was comfortable. We had dinner which was good but was expecting something special from all the reviews. They very were helpful in organising a car to take us to the aswan airport for 80 USD. Good price. The communication via email before we arrived was really good. Friendly staff.

We are so lucky that we decided to stay at Mohammed's amazing hotel. He has created something special in Abu Simbel. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated (as is the entirety of the hotel - with local Nubian artwork and furnishings). The bathroom is spacious and has a great shower. The restaurant takes up most of the ground floor and is first rate. We ate tilapia for dinner and Nubian omelette, along with a host of other accompanying dishes, for breakfast. Everything was delicious. While the hotel itself is fantastic, what really stood out to us was the attention to detail and the high level of service we received from each and every member of staff - from Hamo and Ali in reception, our waiter at breakfast and dinner and to Mohammed himself who could not have done more to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. He organised a car to pick us up from Aswan and drop us there again. It was a brand new SUV and the driver was entirely professional. He also organised a sunset boat ride in front of the temple on his own boat, captained by the charming Mr Ali - which was an absolutely fabulous experience. Additionally, he personally showed us around Abu Simbel (which is a charming little town). We are already discussing our next trip to Abu Simbel with Mohammed and he will take organise a beach picnic on his boat and a stay in a tent in the desert. We really cannot wait to go back.

We had a great stay at New Abu Simbel Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Muhammad and Ali took very good care of us in particular. They went out of their way to make sure our expectations for Abu Simbel were met. Ali drove us to and from the temple multiple times, walking us to the entrance and making sure we knew where to go. When we were done with our visits, he was available to come pick us up. We also did a lovely sunset boat ride with Ali for an additional fee. The food at the restaurant was good and fresh. Breakfast was included, but we were also able to eat lunch there. The property is new, clean, and a good location for visiting the Abu Simbel temple. The room was comfortable and clean with good AC. The shower pressure and temperature was good. If you are visiting Abu Simbel, definitely stay here, you won’t regret it.

We had an amazing stay at New Abu Simbel Hotel—by far the best experience we’ve had in Egypt. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The whole place has a more relaxed, warm vibe than anywhere else we visited in Egypt, which made our time here especially memorable. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, and the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. We can’t recommend this place highly enough—if you’re visiting Abu Simbel, spend a night or two here. It’s the perfect way to experience the town beyond just the temples.

This is an amazing hotel! The room is clean, spotless, and hot water is always available, impeccable. The service is amazing, Tutu car provides free shuttle to Abu Simbel Temple, where you can book and pick up to watch the sound and light show. There is also a double decker boat to watch the sunrise over Lake Nasser, with a good and safe view. The restaurant's cuisine is fantastic and irresistible. Guests can enjoy a welcome fruit platter, free drinks, and fast Wi Fi upon check-in. The hotel has a Nubian charm, and the staff are all Nubians. They are extremely friendly, especially Ali, who provided a lot of help and even offered free tea.If you are troubled by the crowds and noise of Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor, don't be discouraged. Come to Abu Simbel and choose this hotel!

Great hotel for those interested in spending the night in Abu Simbel. It is a 30 minutes walk from the Abu Simbel temple and 10 minutes from restaurants and from the public bus station. The hotel is modern and even though the rooms are small, they are very nice, very clean and well furnished with A/C. The owner and the manager of the hotels are also very friendly and attentive to their guests. The hotel manager offered free tuk tuk rides to and from the Abu Simbel temple, which was very convenient. Breakfast was small but had all the essentials. They are also flexible on the time of breakfast.

Hamza at the front desk was the best, so intelligent and speedy at solving all the queries, thanks to him it was a very secure and comfortable stay in Abu Simbel! Congrats to the hotel to have found such a smart staff. All other staffs were wonderful too, Mohammed at the breakfast and dinner was so cute and attentive. The location is perfect to be the first to enjoy the infamous temple nearby and to take a sunset boat to see it from the ocean, much closer than all the other lodgings. Rooms and facilities were clean, very pretty and colourful designed in Nubian style. They have a small shop on site if you need drinks, snaks and souvenirs. It was the best decision to stay overnight at Abu Simbel and to choose this best located Tuya hotel for that! Going back to the airport the shuttle stopped right in front of the hotel and they safely kept the bags for few hours after the check out. The dinner was extremely delicious, best fish in entire Egypt. Breakfast is also nice and you can have it after doing an early temple visit. Amazing and helpful staff! Both in the hotel and the attached restaurant, some amazing people. They have carefully created a wonderfully restful space with attention to detail and all the little touches that make it amazing. Clean and comfortable, and the location is amazing - straight down the road from Abu Simbel temple.

The hotel is located very close to the magnificent temples. It's only a 15 minute walk there. It's a 10 minute walk to the busses and minivans to go back to Aswan. My room was cosy and clean, as was the bathroom. Comfy bed. There was a smart tv in my room, which worked well and is set up for watching Netflix and YouTube. The staff were helpful and kind. So are the local people. The staff will help you arrange a ticket to the night show and/or to the sunrise at the temples. The food in the restaurant was honest, very fresh and tasty fare. This a great hotel at which to relax. Abu Simbel is a place where time slows down. It's like a different country entirely to Egypt. I really recommend spending at least one night at this lovely little hotel.

Gorgeous hotel, in Nubian style, lovely staff and amazing food. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. Staff was extremely kind, helpful and available. The location is perfect, at walking distance from the Temples and town centre. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was great. Highly recommend!

The staff alone are amazing - the guys welcomed us with karkade (hibiscus) and were thoroughly impressed by the little arabic/nubian we spoke (we recommend learning a few words!). All of them were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Location is a quick 15 minute walk to Abu Simbel temples, perfect for those wanting to be the first when the temple opens. The hotel itself is really beautiful Nubian design with an outdoor courtyard to hang out. There's also the option to get an Egyptian breakfast in the morning (not many people ask for it) which we would recommend.
