Would stay again. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and contemporary. Beds were comfortable. Great facilities gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

Clean, breakfast was very good, service excellent. Got a free upgrade to the jacuzzi room, best thing ever. Didn’t even expect this! Location in Faro is amazing. I highly recommend staying some days in Faro.

Beautiful luxury accommodations. We were upgraded to the jacuzzi suite, and we indulged after a long day of travel. Excellent food at the accompanying restaurant.

Beautiful large clean rooms, amazing shower, huge comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast. Excellent pool and jacuzzi outside. An oasis of calm. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond in every way to make our stay exceptional.

What I liked: very friendly and helpful staff, the convenience of the kitchenette in the room, excellent central location but at the same time quiet (if your room is facing the garden/pool), loved the outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi, loved the fact that the room was facing the garden/courtyard.

Large comfortable room, stunning interior design and furnishings. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet despite being on the main road. Outdoor jacuzzi was great after a long day of touring Porto. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was excellent many choices & menu offerings. Room exceptionally comfortable with extra amenities (port, water, turn down w tea) nice to have pool & jacuzzi. Would have liked to have had time for the lovely spa. Staff welcoming & helpful.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was great...we stayed in 3 hotels in Porto during our stay and this was the best location for us. The room was beautiful and well equipped. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. Breakfast was great.

Amazing location, great views of Porto. Interior is really well done, every detail has been thought through. Team was super welcoming and gave us a tour of the whole property with lots of pro tips, including a really sweet welcome gift. The rooms are based off of Avantgarde artists which was a really special touch. Breakfast was phenomenal, didn’t have the opportunity to try the dinner there. Spa area was also lovely, we tried the sauna and steam rooms, the jacuzzi pool was also great even during a rainy day.

Everything was fantastic. The view, the design of the hotel, bravo! An incredible spa with a jacuzzi overlooking the city panorama. This is the best service in my life, every detail was noticed. It was my husband's birthday, so they brought him a cake with a candle in the morning for breakfast, and they also put water in the car when we left. Thank you for the incredible experience.

We stayed in the Royal Jacuzzi Suite, dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci. With its spacious and comfortable balcony, this room offers a view of the city and river that is absolutely breathtaking. There is a marquee canopy that shelters the balcony from intense, direct sun. The three-person outdoor jacuzzi is very clean, comfortable, and not over chlorinated. We really enjoyed lounging on this balcony! The room is elegant, modern, and tastefully decorated. It accommodated us well as three adult family members (2 parents with older child). In my opinion, this room is absolutely tops if you're planning a romantic get-away or special holiday. The hotel staff are super kind and helpful. The spa is worth a visit, too. We enjoyed a couples massage there. Danielly in Guest Relations was on the ball via WhatsApp to help us book dinner reservations at choice seafood restaurants around town, including 5 Oceanos, which we definitely recommend for an unforgettable dining experience. Overall, a lovely, memorable holiday weekend in beautiful Porto!!

We spent a few days visiting Porto and the Torel Avantgarde was an amazing home base during our time there. The staff, especially Ricardo and Alex, were wonderful hosts and really elevated our time at the hotel. The rooms are modern and spacious as usual the bathroom: we both had plenty of real estate in which to get ready. Each room is individually decorated in the theme of a particular artist/author/inventor in a modern and minimalist way which is a fun touch. While the location is a bit outside of the city center, like everything in Porto, it was a short walk away (our longest walk to get somewhere was 20 minutes) and we were both happy to have a bit more quiet and a view of the river. The breakfast (we enjoyed it from the sun-filled atrium) had everything you could want: meats, cheeses, a made to order egg station, breads, fruit, cooked and raw veggies, cereals, juices, mimosa makings and any type of coffee drink you would like) was definitely a highlight. We also took advantage of the gym each day and also enjoyed heated pool. And, of course, the hotel bar where Alex makes AMAZING cocktails. Looking forward to coming back!

Terrific service and great location. Park the car and just explore! From start to finish the staff were incredibly helpful and focused on our experience. Located close to everything, this hotel is quiet respite from walking adventure days around a fun city. Engage the hotel team through WhatsApp to get near-live support for all your needs like restaurant suggestions and reservations and must visit spots around the city. Bring comfortable shoes and just get out and explore! Our room had a great view of the city and river and was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was AMAZING each morning and a proper way to start your day with a great selection of health and not-so-healthy options ;)! We highly recommend this property for your stay in Porto if you want to be close enough to everything to enjoy while appreciating some quiet when done exploring. Everything!! Last minute booking and what a find!! The place is beautiful. Grounds, reception,room, facilities and breakfast I could honestly not fault. And that’s before I mention the staff. I’m used to excellent customer service in hotels in Portugal but this was without doubt the best I’ve come across. Everything single one of the girls on reception could not have been more helpful. Just first class. I used the gym and the pool which were fantastic, the outdoor seating area was very relaxing and the room spotless and modern (fantastic shower) Mini bar was really good and had complementary coffee and a bottle of water. By chance I arrived at a time then the biggest Medieval festival in Europe was on!! What an experience that was ( transport to the castle and back €5!!) The best hotel I’ve stayed in during my time in Portugal hands down! Try to get anything like this 15 mins away on the coast for less than 3 times what you’ll pay for this hotel! Will definitely check out the other hotel in the Duro Valley! Oh!! And they have a beautiful little friendly rescue dog at reception All the boxes ticked 10/10!

The property was clean and very elegant. Interesting artwork throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us additional tea bags when we asked for them at 10:00 at night. The room itself was very comfortable and there was a good selection of different types of pillows. The curtains were so efficient that we slept for 12 hours straight; not something we usually do! The inside garden was quiet and very tranquil. A great place for a morning coffee. The indoor pool was not too cold and was lovely. The breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of variety. They also have lovely little coffee candies distributed throughout the lobby and breakfast room which was a nice touch.

The staff at the hotel were exceptional, in particular Adriana. She gave advice on local restaurants and organised taxis for us; nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were courteous and seemed genuinely happy. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and had all the amenities required. Breakfast offered a wide choice, well presented and delicious. We enjoyed using the gym and swimming pool.

Our stay in Bessa Baixa was perfect. We were upgraded with superior room, even we booked deluxe. Superior has a jacuzzi which is another level of comfort. We enjoyed it at full. We were proposed 2 glasses of champagne at the beginning. As it was my birthday, I received a dessert as a compliment, which is so sweet. The room has all that’s needed, the breakfast was very good. The location is very good too.

Indoor pool was amazingly clean and relaxing (quality of water in the pool, hygiene excellent). Alma at the reception along with other were professional and always helpful. Claudio at the bar was so kind. Ramon at the restaurant was always ready to help and also kind. The location is fantastic, and it really exceeded my expectations. I´d go back and highly recommend it. Breakfast was delicious and quality of the food was great! Had dinner on my last night and wish I had had more dinners there. I´m so pleased with my choice.

Beautiful Hotel in a Great Central Location – Highly Recommended! I stayed at the Bessa Hotel Baixa in Porto for 4 nights with friends and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is beautifully designed with a plush lobby and stylish rooms. The room was spacious and very comfortable, a mirror that doubles as a TV – such a cool touch! Lobby was beautiful with a large bathroom featuring sleek hanging taps and absolutely stunning. The staff were efficient, friendly, and always helpful. Our room came with a coffee machine and kettle, and the bathroom amenities were great. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a wide variety of tasty options and several juice choices. The only issue we had was figuring out the air-conditioning controls, but that was minor compared to everything else. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Porto!

The location and view from the rooms, jacuzzi was a plus for relaxing in the open air.

Staying at this hotel was wonderful. We had a beautiful ocean view room with our own private jacuzzi on our balcony. The staff were fantastic, especially the evening front desk gentleman and the 3 gentlemen at the pool bar. They went out of their way to help us. The hotel is small and beautiful, felt like a boutique hotel. The breakfast was also generous and delicious. Nice 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach with chairs and umbrellas for rent. Not one negative thing to say about this lovely hotel.

Great, clean and quiet hotel. It’s located just a short walk from Praia de Porto Mós, which was our favourite beach in whole Lagos. Breakfast in the hotel is simple but really tasty, everything is fresh, the staff is attentive and friendly. Lovely pool with sun loungers and a bar, plenty of space for everyone and you could always find a spot. The bar staff were great, taking care of everyone, checking in and serving tasty drinks. The hotel is slightly away from the city centre, which was perfect for us, as we were looking for a place away from the city noise and crowds. When we were checking out and our flight home was late in the evening, we were able to leave our luggage and still use the pool and facilities which was amazing and we really appreciated it! Special shoutout to Amin from breakfast who was always chatting to us in the morning, and Jose (plus another young guy whose name we didn’t catch!) from bar staff, always putting a smile on our faces and making a great iced latte!

This hotel is beautiful with professional and attentive staff. Parking is convenient and secure with several charging ports if you need them. Room was spotless and more than spacious with a patio and balcony overlooking the large clean pool and with fantastic views. The beds very comfy. Breakfast buffet was very good with many choices including eggs cooked the way you want and pastel de nata. But the most important thing about this hotel is the wonderful staff that went above and beyond. We checked in at the beginning of the Spain, France, Portugal, Morocco April power outage. Staff stayed calm and provided updates, and the chef stayed late to grill omelets, sandwiches, and make salads for all the guests. This was challenging for him at best and his efforts and skills will forever be remembered as there were no operating restaurants or stores in which to purchase food due to the lack of power. His culinary skills were excellent and eating the meal was definitely not a hardship; instead it was one of the best meals we ate. Staff supplied battery candles at each table and the ambience was comforting and special. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel - stylishly decorated, clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was clean and the perfect cool temperature. We had a fantastic room on 2 levels with 2 x twin beds and a double bed. The breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit, bread, pastries, cake, fresh meat and cheese and eggs cooked to order. The hotel is a 10min walk to a vast, stunning beach with 2 restaurants (you need to book ahead).

Service was great, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. We had the room with the jacuzzi on the balcony which I highly recommend as the pool is not heated. Just make sure to ask them to turn on the jacuzzi when you check in. We had to wait a day for it to warm, but it had clean water in it so we were fine with that. Breakfast was excellent, good quality and lots of variety. Location is good if you can make the walk down the hill to the city and back up!

We were given a corner room with windows facing south to the river and west to Barrio Alto and overlooking the hotel gardens and swimming pool. We were lucky with the weather and had the most wonderful light streaming the whole day in the room. The bathroom also had a huge window overlooking the garden, very nice mixture of old furniture and very good size shower. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with plenty of things to choose from, very nice pastries and fresh juice. You can order eggs or omelettes if you don't want scrambled eggs from the buffet. Tables in the conservatory are particularly nice, wonderful view of the hill opposite the hotel. It was our wedding anniversary and my husband ask the hotel to organise some flowers delivered on the day. They arranged with their florist partner the most beautiful bouquet. All the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient but the people working in reception were exceptional and charming. Even though it was the beginning of April the one of the pools was open and guest could use the sun loungers and balinese beds. Most relaxing place to read or have a drink while sunbathing after a day walking and exploring the city. There is a tower - at some point the highest place in Lisbon- in the hotel. If you ask someone will take you up there, incredible views and great opportunity for pictures. Very narrow but very Instagramable ( if you are into that sort of thing)spiral staircase leading to the top.

Highly recommend the Torel Palace Lisbon, it’s a one of a kind property featuring multiple palace buildings perched on a hill overlooking the city. The staff was excellent, including Pedro and Andre - highly recommend the custom cocktails from Didi at the bar. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds well maintained with a phenomenal view. We had a wonderful villa room which was spacious and quiet. Location is great as there is a tram to highly walkable areas and you’re also a head start to the airport. Torel properties are truly special and this is no exception.

This place is a gem, extremely well laid out with a view of the ocean from the bar deck. The breakfast room was exceptional with raw honey and everything imaginable for breakfast, including fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, dried fruit, and all manor of hot breakfast options. We actually had lunch and two dinners at our hotel, because all the food prepared was incredibly delicious in every way! Their chef is Michelin rated. The décor of this remodeled ancient structure was like out of an architectural magazine, truly magnificent!

Torel Palace has to be one of the most beautiful hotels out there, with the added bonus of been perfectly locatated to take in the stunning views of the city. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to chose from with both hot & cold options, so would be hard pushed to not find something you'll like.  But what really makes this hotel a stand out from others is the staff. From the minute you arrive at the hotel, to literally the minute you leave they look after you.  Everyone is so friendly, helpful and attentive and you really get the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for them. The really want to do everything thing they can to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible and they really do just that. It's all the little touches that make this hotel stand out.  We had a lovely bottle of wine waiting in our room when we arrived and since returning home and looking at the rooms again, it looks like we may have received an upgrade that we weren't aware of at the time.  We knew all the rooms were amazing but did think this one was extra special and that would be why 😊 we will definitely be back !

The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in al, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!

We had 4 day stay at Villa Monte following a trip to Albefura with friends. It was a peaceful haven and how i imagine the Algarve was before the high rise resorts took over the western Algarve. Turning in from the road it was like entering another world, all green and landscaped beautifully. We had a very comfortable room and the staff were very helpful and attentive, booking boat trips for us and answering questions about the locality. We did not have dinner at the hotel(it was quite pricey) and found a tiny restaurant in Montecarpacho which looked like a cafe from the outside but had a lovely room at the back where food was very good and reasonably priced. It was good to be with local people who were so friendly. Tavira is a lovely old town and the beaches and islands were easily accessible. I visited the spa and had THE BEST massage and Turkish bath do try it. Only slight downside (other than very expensive dinners) was the music at the pool bar which we found too loud, it would have been good to have had peace there as i think that is what most visitors would like. Would definately recommend a visit to this hotel Only slight downside of Villa MOnte was

Exceeded our expectations - friendly and welcoming service, complimentary champagne reception at the pool bar, spacious & comfortable air-conditioned villa-style accomodation. 4 different pools throughout the resort with plenty of shade & seating. Romantic dining by candlelight in the Orangerie terrace, with superb locally produced food, overlooking the countryside with views of mountains & sea. Fantastic place to get away from it all, especially for couples, about 30 mins drive from Faro airport. Worth every cent - would love to visit again!

We loved Vila Monte, the lovely grounds, excellent staff, very relaxed atmosphere. It was a green oasis amid a very arid surrounding landscape. We did not spend much time using the hotel's facilities, but a car was necessary to visit the local towns and coast. We were disappointed with our room(Room 6) although it was only a standard double room, we would have expected a chair in the room as when we were in the room we could only sit/lie on the bed. It was also situated a little out of the way, next to the cleaners room,under trees and with no sunlight or view. (Not one of the better rooms) We ate in the A Terra restaurant twice and felt it was not good value for money - expensive. Again staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good, and staff extremely friendly and helpful. We ate in Moncarapacho, about 5 minutes drive, at Antonio's and Restaurant Da Ana, both very good and very reasonable prices. All in all a lovely hotel, but not keen on the room.

Turning off the road and into the Vila Monte entrance the view and lushness was amazing. The road up to the reception has a practice golf course either side and gives a great first impression. The resort is spacious but with a small number of superior rooms in 'villas' or suites spaced well apart so often felt like our own personal villa. The normal sized rooms are in 2 storey villas but again not crowded. We had a 'superior' room in a single floor villa (5 rooms total) and a good pool directly outside. There are 3 pools in the resort available to everyone. We went in the 'low' season but even when busy I doubt it would seem crowded. You really do need a car as the restaurant is both expensive €130 for 2 with wine) and limited menu choices - but it is absolutely excellent Michelin star quality so we ate there twice and drove to Montcarapacho, Fuseta or Olhou on other days. The staff were all really friendly and helpful - another couple decided to stay an extra 3 days and Carla (Manageress) took care of the flights, car hire and room changes for them.

Everything!!! That room with jacuzzi on the terrace was such a great choice for the day when Portugal got out of power - this hotel has an autonomous power generator and they accepted guests that day; super tasty dinner (got it into the room with a nice bottle of champagne); kind staff; location in Boavista next to the stadium in between Porto city center and Matosinhos; I will definitely get back for more days

10-15 euros Taxi from central Porto, near Football stadium. Excellent Staff throughout our 4night stay-Friendly, efficient and informative. Hotel very comfortable with a modern feel and very clean. Breakfast and Dining food brilliant with hugely friendly and obliging Service. Rooms clean and well appointed. We could not fault it and it was a very pleasant surprise.

It is a few years since I last stayed at the Bessa; I had forgotten what a good hotel it is - clean, modern, efficient and friendly. The staff were very helpful to accommodate my request for a late check out. Breakfast is always good there, and this time I had a couple of snacks in the bar in the evening, which were truly delicious.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice bathroom. The personnel was very was and helpful. Breakfast was rather basic but everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel has a very good location for my purpose, the neighborhood is quiet and pleasant.

I'll start with the only con to get it out of the way - it's not a central hotel. It's located in what seems like a residential neighborhood. Ubers to the center are not expensive however. Having said that, I don't care because it was AWESOME. The room was very very clean, the bathtub was luscious and the hot tub was amazing. Porto is a lovely place but I would honestly travel there again just to stay at this hotel. The staff was absolutely lovely. We had to stay another night because our flight was canceled and everyone was so friendly and sympathetic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't care about being exactly in the center and wants a more luxury experience than the usual small room with two bed put together that you get in Europe a lot.

We came from another 5 star hotel in Albufeira and we immediately loved this one, it is all the other one wasn’t. It is classy, quiet, the apartments are very large and comfy, the kitchen has every single detail and the bathrooms are clean and modern. The toiletries are from Rituals! The garden is very big, has a large barbacue area and a jacuzzi. The hotel is on the beach and has 3 pools (1 indoors) and a nice restaurant. The restaurant is a little expensive but the staff and food are great. We loved it so much we booked another 9 nights immediately.

We loved the layout of the actual apartment, having a rooftop with a hot tub, and a view of the ocean, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a fully stocked kitchen. It was also a short walk to the main area with pools & restaurant. There were 4 pools to choose from, 2 outdoor, 1 kids outdoor, and 1 indoor with a hot tub. The pool staff, especially Augusto, were so welcoming & and lot of fun. The restaurant was lovely, staff friendly, and high quality meals. The boys loved the football field. The most beautiful sandy & clean beach that went on for miles was across the street, with a nice restaurant as well with beach service & restaurant service for lunch & dinner. Everything was perfect, we will be back!

Perfect location. Wonderful and amazing staff, especially Mr Nelson and Miss Catrena.It is highly recommended for families. Beach Front resort. Private gate to the public beach. The style of the resort,the green areas, the view of the ocean.Every thing you need in the villa is there.Five star resort.February wad very quiet and relaxing time as few tourists in the resort. I recommend you to have your car so you can explore algarve ,the nearby areas. The restaurant food quality was excellent.The ladies at the restaurant were so kind.The guards at the entrance were professional.As a whole, it deserves 10/10.

We had a one bedroom spacious apartment which was very well appointed, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The thing that made our experience so pleasurable was the staff who could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We will certainly be returning and friends are already looking at this option for golfing holidays in the future. The food in the restaurant is very good and the patio overlooks some inland water which has the most magical array of birds and it looked like work was being done to ensure everyone can enjoy this extra bonus in the future. Of course, it is only a two minute walk to the beach and ten minutes drive to the golf courses so everything that you could want is on hand. The cocktails are not bad too!!

Everything was excellent. Every detail was carefully thought. The apartment had everything we needed, including all kitchen gadgets, even a juicer machine. It was perfectly clean. Very comfortable and nice place. Note for beach goers: beach is easily accessible. It is beautiful, spacious and clean but not toddler friendly. As expected for an ocean beach, waves are strong and it gets too deep quickly.

Incredible room with the jacuzzi on the terrace , amazing views from the terrace! Room is very spacious and clean, everything you can find what you need in the room. The breakfast had a lot of choice and delicious! Staff absolutely lovely and welcoming !

The hotel facilities were excellent! The outside pool was big and had a good poolside bar. The indoor spa was beautiful - one of the best we have seen! Very well designed, with a small pool that twisted and turned into a jacuzzi, and then, to waterfall jets..gorgeous! Either end of this pool are a great sauna and steam room, both very modern and set to high temps which we love! The rooftop bar is to die for..great views and lovely music late into the night. Breakfast was first class! So much to chose from and all high quality.

We stayed in the Master suite with a Jacuzzi, the room was huge. Really comfortable furnishings and tasteful decor, with a huge patio space that’s not overlooked. Everything was spotless, apart from our hot tub which looked like someone with make up or fake tan had been in previously and we did feel that was not clean enough. Even so, we highly recommend staying here and will be back.

About a 5 mins walk from the river, this hotel met all our needs. The room was spacious, with a west facing balcony, on which you could enjoy a bottle of wine and have the late afternoon sun shine on you. We slept peacefully. There is a spa, which includes heated swimming pool, incorporating a jacuzzi and massage water jets. There was also an authentic Turkish steam room and a real Finnish sauna (not infrared), with a stove with stones upon which you could throw water (it is a requirement to wear a cap - €5 at the reception). The breakfast was having a very good selection, including bubbly and piano music. As an experienced traveller, I think this deserves a 10 and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, which I booked last minute for a small break for my husband and me. I stumbled upon it and thought the price was great. The pictures looked nice, and the reviews were really positive, so I decided to go for it. I was pleasantly surprised by how modern the hotel was overall (though some areas did need a bit of TLC). It seemed like the hotel had been recently renovated in the majority past of it, and the amenities were fantastic. The rooftop bar and restaurant were amazing! What stood out the most for me was the customer service. After having a not so nice experience in Turkey in terms of customer service in the hotel we stayed there, I was so relieved that the staff here were friendly and attentive, which made our stay enjoyable. Everyone, from the reception staff to those by the pool, and roof top bar were all welcoming and efficient. We dined at the roof top restaurant one night and visited the roof top bar both nights and the staff in both the restaurant and bar were lovely and very friendly. And such great views. I'm really glad we chose this hotel. It's also centrally located, so you just go down the hill, turn left, and you'll find yourself in the heart of the city with plenty of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend this place!

The service was above expectations. The staff is super friendly and attentive; they are super helpful. The room was super comfortable. I don't think the pictures really reflect the quality of the place. It is not super luxury, but is is a cozy, clean, well put together little hotel. Breakfast is super clean and fresh. The location is really good. Walking distance from important landmarks and strategic spots for local tours, tour buses, etc. This little hidden gem is really excellent value for your money. Totally recommend it

Nice selection of breakfast items. Excellent bread and rolls, good cheeses and cold cuts. The location is very quiet. Many of the rooms are located down a canyon so there is no street noise. Nice jacuzzi room.

The jacuzzi on the balcony was great. Think room was also very beautiful and spacious.

We had the best time staying hear, this place is very clean, very comfortable,and breakfast was perfect. the owners go out of the way to make things perfect. love the cook to order breakfast option. they even went out to pick fresh berries for the morning breakfast. we had the owner make us a well balanced dinner the last evening we stayed, it was so good. there is fresh lavender and lemon plants on the property. the lavender smells were awesome. i love the gates, this makes you feel so safe at night. we had the orange room with the balcony. amazing. slept with the window and door open all night. what a gem. just loved everything about it. we are looking to book again and again. This property was well maintained. The balcony was a bonus. It was so private. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We would strongly recommend this place and would definitely go back. The breakfast was delicious.

Great experience. Infrastructure is dated and couple use an uplift. Service is great. Special mention to Berta ( who manages the women’s lockers next to the golf course ) and Monica ( massage Terapist). Both of them were really great. We stayed with the family in an apartment. The apartments are roomy but the decor is dated. Bathrooms and kitchen were great. The “beach club “ is actually a pool overlooking the ocean. Really cool vibe. Fun place. Service was not great. 5/10. Golf course and driving range were great. Restaurants are ok. Ta- Koy had great service and nice environment. Food was ok. The spa was a huge disappointment. Dated, really bad maintenance. I will give it a 2/10. Sauna was not working. Half of the showers were not working. Jacuzzi and pool had missing tiles and didn’t look clean. Massage was good.

We cannot praise this property enough! It was exactly what we were looking for, a one bedroom apartment that was exceptionally clean and well laid out with a lounge area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and also an outdoor terrace. There was a welcome package of bread crackers jams and milk and also a coffee machine with pods provided. The bathroom provided a great shower with two sinks toiletries and towels and all of the bed linen was beautifully clean and fresh. On arrival our check in provided us with plenty of information about the resort and also we received our club entry cards to the Well Beach Club which was fabulous and all included in our accommodation costs. The staff at reception were extremely polite, friendly and helpful and helped us store luggage and call the resort shuttle which also came free to use as part of our stay. The facilities at the resort are fantastic with a large selection of bars and restaurants not to mention obviously the beach and stunning golf courses. Thankyou Vale Do Lobo we had a fantastic stay and have already highly recommended you and would not hesitate to continue to do so.

Amazing stay at Vale do Lobo resort with our family. We stayed at villa 732. Highly recommended. The villa was perfect - 2 bed/2 baths plus private pool, patio and bbq. Perfect for our family. The complex was fantastic - supermarket, golf course, private beach with restaurants and communal pool. The villa was clean, bright, modern and had air con. The resort was spotless and well maintained. Staff were incredible. The resort was very quiet and perfect for us. I’ve seen some reviews complain about the noise from gardeners in the morning. The staff work tirelessly to maintain the golf course and resort and it looks incredible. Work is not done too early in the morning and I see no criticism. I’ve also seen reviews complain about the 5pm check-in - although later than we’d prefer, it is well advertised when booking and you are reminded again by email a few days before. We were able to drop bags and use the resort /restaurants/pool and they called us as soon as the villa was ready. We had a fantastic trip! We will be back!

In all honesty, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed at; When it comes to peace, quiet, calmness and comfort. It has this soft, dark-ish style with low lights. The spa was excellent, and the dinner was amazing. The price you pay for the quality of the food is very, very good. The breakfast was also outstanding. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel, and we recommend it 100%.

A melhorar variedade de opcoes de Comida no Restaurante Bar do Hotel e mesmo do Bar, a comida deixou um pouco a desejar para a regular Que esta o hotel! O Restaurante Tertulia, consideramos Bom, apesar de so termos conseguido fazer Uma refeicao… nas outras estava lotado e depois fechado para o descanso semanal!

Overall a beautiful new modern property with a fantastic spa. Checkin was terribly slow. They ask 45 euros for a dog but you are limited to your room. They are not pet friendly at all. Come without your pet.

The staff are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a whole variety of accommodation so choose wisely. I loved my room (268) quiet and sea view, good size. Very clean. There are more modern rooms available. Breakfast offers something for everyone . The pool area is a little tired and they really need to clean the algae from the pool and the glass bannisters of bird poo daily that are all around the pool area and the restaurant terrace. Well positioned as great beach (and lift down to it ) the better beach sunbeds are to the right not the ones in front which are too far from the water. Lovely boardwalk to the harbour bars / restaurants or it's a quick cab. Great little beach bar / restaurant to the left as you come out of the beach exit overlooking a calm small cove which is great for children.

The property was excellent- very clean - very relaxing, especially in the bar on floor 1 which played moody jazz quietly in the background - Nice!!😂- only stayed for 1 night in November, but the facilities, indoor pool; spa; gym on floor 1; outdoor pool etc. would have got used otherwise. My sea view balcony room on floor 4 was lovely, comfortable and clean and a great sun trap throughout the day with an uninterrupted view to the sea and beach approx 100m away. But whilst the fabric of resort was great, the staff really make this place 👏👏👏 - very friendly; efficient; can’t do enough for you 10/10. It’s a short 5 min taxi or a nice 30 min walk along the boardwalk alongside the beach to get to the village of Alvor itself which has lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The buffet breakfast provided plenty of choice and was good without being top notch 8/10 I understand there is plenty of golf courses close by; so I would definitely rebook this place for a golf trip if I return in the spring/summer

Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming in all the places: reception, bar and restaurant. The quality of food in the restaurant - dinner and breakfast - was outstanding: fresh, lots of choice, perfectly cooked. You cannot beat sitting on the balcony eating breakfast in the morning. My room was beautiful: shower was powerful, water and juice in the fridge, bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The SPA offers a lot of choice and I had a wonderful back and head massage. Sadly, I did not have the opportunity to use the indoor pool and other facilities as I only stayed one night BUT I will definitely return and recommend the hotel to everyone. It was the perfect place to unwind: physically and mentally. Check out was 12pm which was great, later than other places.

Amazing pool area, with sunbeds and sea view, quiet and relaxing. Super easy access to the beach via private lift or stairs. Even if the sea was too cold to swim, the beach was amazing, especially near sunset, and not crowded. Several nice beachside seafood restaurants. Local town with nice restaurants at 5 min drive. Room had a great sea view. Very clean.

Mood hotel is a fun experience - the whole design gives a feeling of a secret, sexy getaway: private garage parking, room service through anonymous service doors, the decor and jacuzzi bath, etc. The location was close enough to Lisbon to make it easy to go back and forth, but far from the hustle of the city, and great value for money

Unique privacy , great staff ,fast to respond and helpful and politr laidback in the good way ,no stress if u order a coffe to pay right away etc like most any other room service if you do not charge to room nice ,and very central dont be fooled by beeing across the river from Lisboa , a 25 min car ride and u r in the very center also just a 2 min walk to buses both direct and local

The private suite was beautifully designed and provided a very comfortable and intimate atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, and the privacy was well-maintained throughout the stay.

The property is fantastic and highly recommended! What really makes it exceptional is the staff. Everyone at this property goes above and beyond to make the experience world class. Rodrigo, the young man that greeted us, parked our vehicle and brought our luggage in, is a shining example of exemplary service. There are numerous other members of the staff that went above and beyond that I could mention without hesitation. In addition to the staff being amazing the rooms are lovely, the pool and deck is relaxing, the spa is welcoming and the food in the bar and restaurant is delicious. I can’t recommend this experience enough. We hope to return in the future.

Probably the best hotel I’ve been to (and I’ve been to quite a few good hotels). This hotel was simply something different. The location - amazing view right above the Douro river. The design - beautiful, just beautiful, the room , the lobby, restaurant, bar, spa - you can see every little detail was considered. But above all it was the service - everything you need even if you didn’t know you need it was provided. The stuff is always there for you with a big smile. I’d say that in terms of service this hotel sets a new standard. Hope we’ll have the opportunity to come back to this hotel next year. 11/10.

A new resort in a 400 year old vineyard. Exceptional property. Location was really picturesque. We booked 5 rooms as a group vacation. Hotel was very elegant. Staff were very friendly and attentive and will do everything to make ur stay memorable. Rooms are very comfortable. Their spa is very nice with sauna, hamam and a lap pool overlooking the valley. Must try their port wines. On the whole we have really enjoyed our stay at this property . Thank u all.

One of our favorite hotel experiences ever!! The hotel itself is understated luxury with subtle mid century decor and elements. The pool and spa with additional indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and gym were beautiful and really were a huge perk. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and courteous. We can’t wait to visit again. Also, the wine that comes from the hotel’s vineyard was the best red wine we had on our trip. You won’t be disappointed staying here! 10/10 highly recommend.
