I liked everything about this hotel. The location is beautiful, overseeing a beach that we have direct access to, with beautiful views all around. The room was more like a whole house, with living room, kitchenette, beautiful stone shower/bath, and a rope swing and jacuzzi. The breakfast food was amazing, and the dinner we had there was really good too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and offer a welcome drink during check-in. The bathroom products were also really good and local.

Incredible location. One of the most beautiful beaches ever and crazy fun cool snack bar above it. Gorgeous pool lots of chairs and relaxing places. The Jacuzzi on our patio was fabulous. And we got an incredible couples massage at the spa. Food was very Portuguese, but also unique and fresh mostly from on site.

Magnifique hôtel comprenant un bâtiment principal comprenant l’accueil, le bar et le restaurant. Decoration dans l’air du temps, grande baies vitrées vue imprenable sur l’océan… et « villas » en retrait dans un jardin paysagé, tout confort avec petite vue mer et jacuzzi personnel. Le tout recouvert de dalles de liège pour s’intégrer au mieux dans le paysage. Une belle plage en contrebas, une piscine, un spa et un personnel charmant!

Beautiful hotel next to a really nice beach with amazing sea views. We were travelling with our 2 (boisterous) kids and this place welcomed all of us! The staff were all friendly and helpful, and gave extra golf cart rides for our kids to have fun when they were helping us with luggage to and from the room. Having our own jacuzzi was lovely especially in the chilly spring rain. I loved the spacious rooms, and having kid sized slippers and bathrobes made my kids feel very special :) Breakfast was not buffet, but we could order as much as we wanted with a good hot and cold selection available, freshly cooked. We wished we could have stayed longer than 3 nights, it was a relaxing and fun stay. We stayed at a couple of other places on Sao Miguel, and felt this one was the best value for money (I did book quite far in advance and got a good rate).

Stunning location high overlooking the Atlantic with stairs down to the beach. Immaculate property, attentive service and excellent food. We ate all breakfasts and 2 of 3 dinners on property. Everyone was extremely friendly proving advice, setting up tours, etc. they even provide an intern et-enabled iphone to easily contact the concierges (also to get some updates on activities, menus, etc. Too cold and windy during our April trip to swim in the pool or ocean, but the jacuzzi was nice. Rooms are stylish but a little cold (aesthetically) and some odd design choices with glass toilet “walls” and a large tub in the room blocking movement. Would have been better with a shower and more storage. Would love to see it when it is warmer!

This place was pure paradise. By far our favorite appartment among our whole trip on several islands. Actually... may be the best appartment I've ever stayed in during my years of travel across the world. It was perfectly clean and quiet, big enough to feel like home. The kitchen and the bathroom are well equiped, and there is plenty of storage space. The location on Pico island is perfect. 10 minutes walk from the city center, the ferry, the grocery store and the best restaurant of the area (Tasca O Petisca). The staff is amazing. Friendly, helpful, kind, efficient. They answer quickly and are patient. Finally, the view from the (large!) balcony is breathtaking. Definitely worth it, we would book there again without hesitation and we strongly recommand this place.

Very cozy place with huge terrace overlooking vineyards, sea and with a magnificent sunset chance over Faial island. The bed was huge and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped, living room furnished with comfortable furniture. Two sun beds were available as well as a table with chairs in the terrace. Internet was good. The ladies in the reception provided the advice on the vineries to visit, one is super close 10-12 mins on foot. Same distance is to the town center or to big supermarket. If you will get tired from the restaurants - supermarket grills great 1/2 chicken. Also within 2 mins walk there is a public natural pools with bar, shower and changing area.

The location was perfect with a wonderful view. It was a spacious and calm place, which perfectly would suit family. For the ones who want to avoid going to eat out every evening, there is kitchen with kitchen supplies available at the place. It was really lovely to have a cup of coffee while sitting outside in the terrace and watch the sunset. The terrace is perfect to get suntan, do morning/evening yoga. Unfortunately, the weather was not the greatest during my stay, thus I had just brief moments to enjoy the terrace.

A vision of paradise, one of our best stays ever. Part of the appeal is that of the Azores, with their perfect climate and wonderful scenery, but Jeiroes has a charm all its own. Roomy, clean, huge bed, all amenities, a veranda overlooking Madalena harbour and the nearby island Faial, with wonderful sunsets. A stone's throw from a swimming pool and sea pool. Secluded and very peaceful, but a short walk along the coast to downtown Madalena, which has a handful of restaurants and bars open late. Very helpful and considerate staff, which helped us to book taxis and gave us good advice.

Great location by the ocean in Madalena. Lovely terrace set into vineyards. Spectacular view of Faial and fun to see ferries go back and forth. Loved having bathtub and house had everything we needed for wonderful stay. Bed was King+ and very comfortable. Very clean and would happily have stayed longer.

My husband and I loved our three night stay at Pocinhobay - we hated to leave and definitely plan to return for longer next time. Everything about the two bedroom villa in which we stayed was exceptional and top quality - roomy, comfortable, private, well-furnished kitchen, beautiful artwork throughout, gorgeous view from the wraparound deck/balcony. Loved using the outdoor shower under the stars. Loved the hot tub on the deck outside the master bedroom, and loved stretching out in the hammock, idly swinging while reading a book. Loved the daily, efficient, and friendly housekeeping service. Loved making myself an espresso to sip on the deck, enjoying the view, before going down to the dining room for the delicious breakfast with excellent service. Loved the time we spent relaxing and reading before venturing out to explore the island - great location for that! José and Luisa are gracious, friendly hosts, who clearly have put a lot of thought and effort into making their guests feel comfortable, pampered, and happy. I verify that they have been very successful at that!

We were in the 2-bedroom villa and it was just incredible! Beautiful views from the terrace, and the villa itself was gorgeous. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. Everything's done with such great attention to detail and the owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool area is stunning with a great ocean view and there is plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the view, even on a rainy day. We loved it and would definitely come back to this unique and wonderful place. The nespresso coffee was not included in the original offering but was kindly offered by the owners to us.

The hosts were so friendly and provided helpful recommendations for our stay on Pico. The property itself is amazing and classified as a UNESCO world heritage site. It had a beautiful community room with hammocks, pool and lounge chairs, and trails through the old vineyards that you can walk. The breakfast was delicious and had so many options. Right across the street is an ocean swimming pool that we enjoyed watching the sunset from.

This property is in a perfect location and the owners are charming and very attentive - Prestine and decorated with absolute perfection which represents the history of Pico so well. Comfortable and spotless. Every small detail is thought of. Absolutely loved our stay and already making plans to come back soon.

The room was very big and the terrace is a wonder bonus point with an ocean view. The pool and jacuzzi are also nice bonuses to this hotel. The personnel was nice. Very good breakfast.

We stayed in a spacious and spotless room with a comfortable bed and great amenities. The highlight was the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, absolutely stunning. Breakfast was perfect, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The reception staff were efficient, helpful, and genuinely kind. This could have easily been a 10/10 stay with a few simple fixes.

The view was 5*. Absolutely stunning and completely fascinating watching the harbour and all the comings and goings. The balcony allowed for a superb view. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom and regularly cleaned. The pool is a good size, with a small outdoor area in the sun. The bar is a quiet area with a simple menu at reasonable prices. We enjoyed this space in the evenings and the staff were very friendly. We did not visit the island on holiday and this hotel offered us a place for contemplation at a very sad time.

Great location, with perfect sea and marine view, a spacious room with balcony, pretty clean, you can find a bar and a small swimming pool in the hotel, spa needs to be reserved in advance but don’t really think that it’s worth it. The breakfast is pretty good, no much variety.

The staff was so nice and helpful with everything! The view from the room is amazing, the room is very big, the location is peaceful. The jacuzzi was great.

Everything was wonderful. Vira and Helen were helpful and accommodating, the room was lovely, the views were astonishing. Taking a jacuzzi bath after climbing Mount Pico was the perfect reward. This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been! Couldn’t recommend more.

When we arrived in the guest house, we immediately felt at home. Everyone was really welcoming and super attentive to our needs and wishes. The day we hiked the mountain, we got some food the day before in order to prepare breakfast ourselves early in the morning. The bathroom wasn't the newest, but everything was always really clean and we felt comfortable the whole time. The room was also very spacious. We even had sea view from our bed and during breakfast outside. Also, it was possible to cook something ourselves in the outdoor kitchen. The house is located in a cute little town with some restaurants and also a possibility to take a swim in the sea. When we were there, there was also always a parking spot available. Would highly recomment to stay here!

We had a lovely stay. The view from the guesthouse was perfect & because it was on the hill it was perfect for stargazing at night. The house is clean & being well taken care of. Service is perfect & staff is very welcoming and friendly. Every morning we got a fresh breakfast, made from local products. Helen & Vera, thank you for having us. Loved the jacuzzi, design, comfortable beds, turn down service, friendly welcoming host, watching the stars at night in the jacuzzi (with the lights off).

This place is simply amazing It's very comfortable, clean, and calm, with breathtaking views and wonderful energy. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the infinity jacuzzi is a small joy that made our day. We hope to return one day!

We very much enjoyed the beautiful location; it was magnificent. The accommodation was spotless. Access to the jacuzzi and the pool is perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. A perfect place!

Staff were very helpful with check in. Dedicated parking. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with towels and dressing gowns supplied. We didn’t try the swimming pool or jacuzzi but they were in service and looked nice. The views were spectacular, and surrounded by nature in a comfortable accommodation.

Awesome view, 24/7 jacuzzi, accessible location, parking. The place has everything you need and feels very fresh and new. They also provide bathrobes.

Opzich een goed verblijf, echter doen de foto's wat mooier voor dan de orginele staat. Wel is alles schoon. Het ontbreekt in de basis benodigheden als een kapstok/kast om iets op te hangen, een fatsoenlijke afwasborstel en theedoeken om de afwas te kunnen doen etc. De honeymoon suite heeft een prachtige Jacuzzi, helaas was deze tijdens ons verblijf kapot. Hier kregen we op verzoek wel korting voor. Vanuit de accomodatie werd er niet naar oplossingen gekeken. Receptie is vrij weinig aanwezig, wel goed telefonisch bereikbaar. Ontbijt is minimaal, kan gevarieerder. Het zwembad en de faciliteiten buiten waren heel fijn!

What a beautiful place! We loved our stay on Pico Island and 35 Atlantic definitely helped make it great. Beautiful views, delicious breakfast, fast free Wifi and a swimming pool to top it all off. It was a cozy enjoyable stay!

Really this is a 3.5* review. This is a good choice that has the potential to be great. The owners need to figure out what they want this place to be and plan accordingly. The area is really nice. It's out of the way without being too remote. There is an easy to use parking area just off the road. We had a second floor sea view room. The room itself was nice. There were however some flaws. There was little ventilation with the doors closed. Also, when it rained, water seemed to leak in through every door and window, making it impossible to feel dry. My number one complaint is that there was no fridge in the room. Pico makes some of the best white wines in the world, and to have a balcony with an ocean view makes sipping wine the most natural pastime. The fact that there's nowhere to chill wine is inexplicable. I can understand not wanting to promote a party atmosphere, but I consider access to a fridge to be a basic requirement. The breakfast was fine, but bordered on basic. Perhaps another fresh element would elevate it. There are some fine restaurants nearby and a good grocery store only five minutes drive away. Truthfully, I would stay here again, but I think the owners are missing a golden opportunity to create something sensational.

We upgraded and stayed in the newer rooms with AC and a balcony. Room was quiet, wifi was great. Smart TVs were a huge plus! Lajes is on one end of the island, Madalena is on the other side- be aware that Pico is a long island and it takes about 40 minute to get to each side. For us this wasn't an issue with a car. Some people choose to stay closer to the main city, where the airport is and where the boat dock is. This location was quiet and peaceful and not chaotic. Authentically living near the locals!

Our stay at Casal do Vulcão was very good! This peaceful and beautiful place, made of volcanic stones, is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a perfect location to explore Vulcao dos Capelinhos and the rest of the island. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the well-equipped kitchen made our stay more comfortable. We also loved the beach nearby.

I don’t think I have ever given a 10. The hosts, exceptional, they went out of their way to help me which made my trip in the end. The access, easy access at anytime. Bus stop, location back to Horta right outside. Swimming pool and outdoor area to eat, sit. Beautiful walk to swim areas, supermarket/ cafe (was perfect for me but maybe a little remote for some without a car) Building was insanely beautiful. Everything I needed to cook, stay comfortable and enjoy my two sleeps. Quiet.

Great location, very close to the volcano. The compound was very clean, the apartment was lovely, had everything we needed for our short stay. Would have been lovely to stay a little longer. The renovation if the property is very well done and it was enjoyable to stay somewhere authentic to the island. It was so peaceful and quiet.

House is in quiet place, full of nature. I received a really big house, fine in the appearance, very clean and completely fournished. Comfort was at top and all was working perfectly. Also garden an swimming pool were very good. Host was really polite and full of attention, providing an appetizing breakfast. If obly also some vegetables had been added, no possibility of improvement woulf have left! Perhaps a car to reach is needed, but it is strongly recommended for a comfortably full immersion into nature.

Our stay in Sandra's house was wonderful and she was so helpful. Lovely, comfortable and spacious house and the host was excellent. She replied to any queries in minutes and even arranged a transfer to the airport for us. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! The villas were clean, spacious, family-friendly, safe, with convenient parking, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Diogo and Claudia answered our requests promptly and provided assistance that exceeded our expectations.

I stayed for a long time, it felt like a home after few days. So cosy and well equipt , brand new and clean, very friendly host, secured by electric gates, parking inside the property/ in the garden, private jacuzzi, very quiet even when fully booked

Fresh and beautiful, super clean villa and territory! You can park your car inside in the territory, which is nice! Beds are very comfortable! We enjoyed a lot to spend evenings in the jacuzzi after long traveling days :)

Very nice apartment with access to a pool as well as a hot private jacuzzi. The hosts were very friendly and attentive and answered all our questions promptly in each case. Although we arrived at night the collection of the keys was no problem.

The rooms were very cosy and modern - the beautiful pool area was also a highlight! The gift basket on the table was such a sweet touch. The jacuzzi was also easy to use and was like a cherry on top.

Huge fully detached villa. Modern, new furniture. Large spacious rooms. BBQ area Plenty of towels available. Washing machine available. Very quiet area. Very cut off. Basic amenities still available in the village. Little coffee shop/grocery shop available 2min away. Restaurants 10min drive. We loved the remoteness of the place. Perfect for larger family groups. We arrived late at night and still found someone waiting to greet us. Impressive view points 10/15min away. (My favourite viewpoints in the whole island)

Modern, well equipped flat, very clean and comfortable. Very nice host. The flat is close to the "highway".

The unit was amazing, would easily fit a family of 6. Beautiful kitchen, that we did not use. Only regret is that we were there for only one night. Free parking in a gated area. Nice outdoor seating with an outdoor BBQ. Location worked well for seeing the island. The owner provided us with a variety of recommendations of where to eat. Very helpful.
