The property was beautiful and immaculately kept up. Situated perfectly on thr bus route so we never had to pay for trabsportation into Bar Harbor and could leave the car at the hotel. Poolsidr bar service was spot on. Great pool and jacuzzi. Many more expensive places on the island with the same views and less immunities for so much more money. If you are okay with not drawing in town, then consider this your place. Such an amazing place!

Beautiful hotel with really friendly staff. There was quite a wait to check in, but the staff remained professional and got people through as quickly as possible. The island explorer (free bus service) has a stop at the hotel, so I never had to fight the Bar Harbor traffic. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a balcony with a view of the water and the pool area. I had a dinner and a breakfast in the hotel restaurant and both were great. There's also a bar and a lobster pound down near the pool area. For the price, I highly recommend this hotel.

We could not have asked for a better experience at this hotel! We received a warm welcome from Barbara on arrival, and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Our room and all public spaces have been newly renovated and were impeccably clean. There was even a “hydration station” with a bottle filler on our floor, near the elevator. Enjoyed drinks in the bar with John Boy, and the wood-fired pizza from the restaurant was delicious. The pool area was very neat and clean at all times during the day. The Acadia shuttle stops right in the parking lot, and it’s a relatively short ride to the transfer station in Bar Harbor, so fighting traffic/finding parking was never an issue, whether wandering Bar Harbor or heading to any location in the Park. We absolutely recommend this hotel!

Been raving about this hotel to family and friends since we left! Awe inspiring location with incredible views of the ocean and proximity to the most amazing national park! Absolutely loved the pool area that overlooked the ocean and had access to drinks and food! The updated decor of the rooms, hallways, and lobby gave the hotel a definite modern lift and fit the seaside ambience. Experienced an unforgettable sunrise on the adirondack chairs facing the ocean. Enjoyed a delicious seafood meal onsite by the water. Great shuttle service back and forth to Bar Harbor! So easy & convenient! Staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that we were in a good location for accessibility and a view! Looked at many options in the area - we made the perfect choice! No Doubt About It- Will Be Back!

The Hampton Inn, Bar Harbor was excellent. The location was perfect - just a short walk to town and close to Acadia national park. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was amazing with fresh baked muffins and scones. I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's and this was by far the best breakfast selection and quality. The best part was the hotel staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive and committed to making sure we had a great stay and enjoyed our time in Bar Harbor. We will be back :)

It's really convenient to Acadia National Park (5 min) and all the shops & restaurants in Bar Harbor. The staff was super friendly and the property is very clean. The complimentary breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and they even made fresh cookies every afternoon!

Perfect location to Acadia park. The island shuttle picks you up and drops you off at the hotel which is super convenient when touring Acadia park. The hotel is modern and super clean. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. They cleaned the room everyday. And breakfast was great. They had plenty of choices and the wrapped pastries were delicious! One of the best Hampton inns we’ve stayed at.

This was an amazing stay! The view is awesome. The staff were so friendly...the front desk was very helpful. Coffee, tea, lemon water, fruit and muffins available at all hours. Such a great feature. The hot breakfast was great. Loved the hot tub each night after long days of hiking. Bar Habor and Acadia are beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton with kids. Everything from the clean room to the polite and helpful staff to the breakfast spread was excellent. The location is very convenient as it’s walking distance to the Main Street (downtown), there’s also easy access to the free buses from the hotel. It’s close to the Acadia visitor center. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool everyday during our 4 days stay. We had an incredible vacation that was relaxing and fun.. thanks to Hampton!

We stayed here for 4 days. Our first impression was how great the hotel is and staff was very nice. Gianni was great, he gave us a tour of the hotel, walked us to our room. The room was wonderful, updated, spacious and bed was so comfortable. We had a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The kitchen was very nice, they put out a huge spread for breakfast like muffins, coffee, danish, cereal, tea. The dining was very nice and relaxing, where they had computer if needed. This hotel thought of everything. We will stay here again. The location was amazing, very close to everything in Downtown Bar Harbor. We highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful, Did a very good job at showing me my room and where everything was located. Room was very nice, clean and quiet. I liked the newer Heat pumps to get a quiet perfect temperature. Bed was comfortable and shower had good hot water & pressure. Would have been nice to have coffee available in the room or at least in the same building. The end tables in my room were super tippy due to kind of an odd design. Not very useful for putting stuff on because things would tip over/fall off easily. I had to walk quite a ways from parking & up stairs with heavy luggage as there were no spots available near my building. Overall, it was a good experience and I would stay here again.

This property was absolutely beautiful and such a great location. Walking distance to town but on a quiet street. The staff was very friendly. We were greeted with champagne upon arrival and given a tour of the grounds. There’s a nice rum bar on premises. The bartender was super friendly and made it a very welcoming environment to have great conversation. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. After long days of exploring I enjoyed coming back to a comfortable clean room. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were super soft. The air conditioner kept the room at a constant comfortable temperature. There was plenty of parking and we didn’t have to deal with finding parking downtown because of it. I would definitely stay at Queen Anne’s Revenge again.

We enjoyed our stay from the sparkling wine at registration. The room was pleasant and quiet, and we were pleased to have the gas fireplace in the room. We were especially impressed with how quiet the air conditioning unit was. The included continental breakfast, though not "hearty," was quick, convenient and tasty. It saved us time and money to let us get on with the day's activities. The location was convenient to the downtown and its restaurants as well as the sand bar to Bar Island and an entrance to Acadia National Park.

Very comfortable rooms/beds. Amazingly spacious. We had 2 rooms with double beds w/2 bathrooms perfectly appointed. Great for friends traveling together. Easy walk everywhere! Loved the bar downstairs: good, friendly with porch option. Breakfast buffet with bagels & danishes, coffee & OJ & mini fridge in our rooms. Perfect!

From check-in to check-out, our stay at the Mira Monte Inn was delightful. We seek out older homes and the 1864 date of the Mira Monte qualified. It is nicely maintained with some period pieces and has a very pleasing esthetics. Our room was clean and comfortable with a functioning A/C and bathroom fixtures. The toilet flushed well and the shower flow was good but required a hand-held shower head which was a bit difficult to maneuver while soaping or shampooing. The breakfasts choices were interesting (2 choices per day) and all of our breakfast entrees were delicious. The breakfast staff was polite, efficient and friendly. The owner/innkeepers were very gregarious and talkative. There was a nice selection of rooms for breakfast including a group table, library tables, inside porch seating and outside porch seating. Everything in Bar Harbor was an easy walk from the inn. The Inn uses number combos for the inn door and room doors so no key was necessary. It is a lovely home and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The bed and breakfast was comfy, quaint, and just a 15 minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor and a quick drive to Acadia National Park! The inn had many rooms to look at and lots of seating to relax inside, on the patio, or in the yard. The room we stayed in, the Louisberg, was so spacious, always clean, and had tons of natural light. The breakfast options were delicious and we appreciated the stack of beach towels they kept for guests!

Excellent location, charming property, comfortable, clean room, great coffee that was available early in the breakfast room, delicious breakfast, and extremely helpful and friendly staff.

Excellent choice to stay when visiting Bar Harbor. Less than 5 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and about 8 minutes to Acadia. The Des Isles room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for our various bags (2 luggage racks!). The provided breakfasts were all tasty (you get to choose from 3 options and 3 seating times) and the people were friendly and helpful.

Great location-walking distance to bar harbor and 5 mins to Acadia National park. Free parking on gravel driveway. Breakfast was good-you sign up for 1 of 3 options the day prior with a time slot, they also offer to-go breakfast around 0600. Hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. Originally booked a different room and when hosts ran into an issue with it they upgraded our stay to a suite for free and gave a phone call prior to our arrival. Rooms were clean and as described.

Best Bed and Breakfast ever. Good location near the town of Bar Harbor. Fast and super friendly check in. They even had a welcome refreshment. Our room was perfect and the bed comfortable with great bedding. The bathroom had both a shower and jacuzzi tub. Top of the line towels and bath products. The breakfast was fresh cooked and we had a choice of two options. They even had gluten free options which were delicious!

Heartside Inn is a great B&B, was given the choice between savory and sweet meal options and food sensitivities were taken into account. There's also a lovely tea time snack and coffee/tea throughout the day. I stayed in the room on the main floor with a nice jacuzzi tub and small private porch. My innkeeper Julianne was great for finding fun things to do and providing options. I would stay again! Bed was comfy, water was hot, and I could not hear others moving about the house or on the street.

One of the best places I have ever stayed at. The room was small but extremely cozy, beautifully decorated (as was the rest of the place). Very clean as well. The breakfasts were all delicious, the tea time in the afternoon was adorable with delicious treats. Everyone who worked there was AMAZING and super helpful with any questions we had. Perfect location in the middle of Bar Harbor, walkable to all the shops and restaurants. 100% would recommend and stay again!

Never been is B&B before.. always in a traditional hotel.. This was AMAZING! The moment we park to the moment we leave. Cathrine and Julia were beyond and above expectations. Two incredible young ladies hosting a beautiful place. The house have all the vintage character, our room(5) was so cozy, inviting, comfortable bed..whole house have an incredible vibe. Feels like home. Julia provided to us a delicious breakfast in a amazing presentation. Excellent coffee (blueberry cobbler) Everything is wonderful about this place. We spend just one night..could not stay longer.. but we’re already planning our next trip. We really want stay longer. It’s relaxing and peaceful.

Our two night stay was very enjoyable. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the bed and bedding was luxurious (to me anyway) and everything was super clean. Treats are offered every afternoon (brownies, cookies and the like) along with coffee or tea and each morning we were offered the choice of a savory or sweet option for breakfast. The breakfasts were delicious and ample! If we find ourselves in Bar Harbor again I can’t think of a single reason to look for any other place to stay. Loved it!

Wonderful Place. The staff and service was top notch! Friendly, helpful and full of great information to make our first visit super easy. Location is the best, right in town and everything in walking distance. Pool/Hottub was in great shape.

After we wrapped up in Kennebunkport, we travelled up further North to Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is a beautiful resort town located on Mount Desert Island, which is also the home of the stunning Acadia National Park. We arrived into Bar Harbor just before 16.00 and checked into our home for the next three nights, The Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. The Grand Hotel is a replica of the much older Rodick House and has an older worldly charm to it. Location wise its right on main street and a less than five minute walk will get you to the towns Green. The interior of the building has a classic hotel feel to it, which some modern add on’s such as swipe cards for entry to the rooms. We found the bedrooms to be very spacious and comfortable. The beds especially were the comfiest we stayed in on our two week road trip. The bathroom was fantastic too, with a room size mirror and a nice deep bath and shower combination for a relaxing dip after a long day of exploring the local area. We included breakfast in our stay and we found it to be very tasty. The coffee was strong and there seemed to be a constant flux of the items on offer day to day which I enjoyed. Also due to its location the hotel is very quiet, as its just out of the town centre enough to provide pure quietness when trying to sleep. Finally the staff at the hotel were all very friendly and professional down to the last team member and we felt very welcomed during our time there.

The Bar Harbor Grand was the perfect place for our stay. I was traveling with my sister and both of our husbands (kid-free trip), but there were a few families there with children who seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. The free breakfast in the morning was lively with the wait staff being very bubbly and attentive and we had fun conversations with other guests too. Eggs were served every morning along with biscuits, fruit, oatmeal, sourdough bread (my favorite) and all the juice, tea and coffee you could want (coffee and tea being available 24/7). The people behind the counter when we checked in, and then every morning after, were welcoming and always asking us how our stay was going, quick to answer any questions and offered travel and food suggestions. It felt more personal than staying at a big chain hotel, but had all the amenities of a big chain hotel. Parking was really easy and the hotel is walkable to just about most things in Bar Harbor: shops, restaurants, sightseeing. It's just a few minutes drive to get into Acadia and we also loved how close it was to the sandbar which is walkable during low tide and not to be missed! Oddly the only strange thing we could say about the hotel is that there seemed to be a female manager, tall and thin wearing a blazer, who occasionally zipped in and out of the eating area or stairwell and she was the least friendly person there. Everyone else was absolutely warm and welcoming the whole time! Luckily we only saw her twice.

My husband and I try to go to Bar Harbor every fall and always stay at The Grand. Yes, a King Size room is relatively expensive, but that's true of all of Bar Harbor and in the case of the Grand you get what you pay for: wonderful, large, clean rooms, an attentive staff, and a great location. The Grand is located on the eastern end of Cottage St, the main shopping street of downtown Bar Harbor. This means there are plenty of shops within a block or two, three restaurants across the street and one on each side of the Grand. The Grand does have a pool and hot tub, which we've not tried. What they do have that we love is a fabulous front porch with loads of rocking chairs--perfect for sitting outside with a glass of wine, etc after shopping or exploring Acadia. The location means a lot less noise. My husband is an early morning person and I am not so he can get up in the morning, walk to get a paper and be back with a cup of coffee for me. There is an ample breakfast. As a Mainer one of the things that impresses me about breakfast is that the coffee is from a small Portland based company I happen to be familiar with. The staff of the Grand are attentive and kind. In all, there's a reason why we come back to the Grand year after year.

We truly enjoyed the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of protein and lots of variety, lots of fresh fruit and usually some special treat. I really enjoyed the blueberry cake. They had a treat they put out each afternoon around 4 o’clock. The lemon pound cake was our favorite. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It was super close to downtown, but probably two blocks from the busier part of downtown which I kind of liked because it was a little quieter but very walkable to the downtown area and all the shops and even the Harbor was maybe an 8 min walk. Our favorite lobster pound was the travelin lobster which was about 18 mins away. We decided our favorite place for blueberry pie was a Side Street Cafe right there in Bar Harbor. We also enjoyed renting e-bikes and were able to cover about 26 miles of the carriage roads in Arcadia in under 5.5 hours with lots of stops for pictures and lunch. We used Acadia E-bike adventure and were super pleased. We truly enjoyed our time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and we definitely would stay at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel if we were going back.

Room was super clean and beds very comfortable. Location was perfect, easy to walk to town but nice and quiet at night. Staff was helpful in planning visit to Acadia National Park, too.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Inn on Mount Desert, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The inn itself is quaint and lovely, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. The gardens were absolutely beautiful—well-kept and peaceful, offering the perfect place to relax in the mornings or unwind in the evenings. One of the highlights was the convenient location; it was just a quick and easy walk to the town square, which made exploring the local shops and restaurants incredibly enjoyable. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was kind, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable.

Location was great! A good location for all things Acadia! Could walk downtown and explore the area. Drove to parks because Acadia is huge, but the hotel was in a nice central, safe area. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent but a little crowded on the weekend (waited for a place to sit and eat). This was off season so I can only imagine how crowded it gets during prime time/summer hours. Perhaps people can spill out on patio and that makes it more spacious. Front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly, taking the time to tell us about the area and things to do off-season. Rooms were comfortable and a little loud at night (could hear other guests up late) but felt safe. Would definitely stay again!

This modern inn replaced an older hotel on the same site that had been owned by the same family for many years. It is within easy walking distance to the main shopping and dining streets of Bar Harbor, and of the town docks. A full breakfast was included, with hot food prepared to order, and served in a nice breakfast room. Our room had two king beds and was spacious and clean. There is a billiard room with some fitness equipment, and a nice outside garden {although it was raining during our stay and not used by us}. Bar Harbor is normally crowded with tourists through much of the year, but during our early April visit few people were around. Several good restaurants were open, however.

From the front desk staff to the room to the location of the property, everything was wonderful. Breakfast each day was very tasty and fresh made. Staff were quite friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was comfortable and quiet even being right next to the elevator. The property overall was lovely and we walked everywhere in Bar Harbor. Only had to get our car to drive to Acadia NP. We also loved the amenities of the hotel - especially the laundry!

Perfect Stay in the Heart of Bar Harbor We had a fantastic experience at the Villager Hotel during our recent trip to Bar Harbor. The location is unbeatable—right in the center of town and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the harbor. It was especially convenient for watching the 4th of July parade, which we enjoyed right from the hotel grounds! The included breakfast exceeded expectations with a wide variety of choices. The fresh selection of donuts changed daily, which our kids absolutely loved. The thoughtful little touches made a big impression too—like the pre-stamped postcards and a complimentary whoopie pie at check-in, both of which delighted the kids. We also appreciated the free seed packet, which we planted once we got home—such a unique and memorable gift. After hiking in Acadia National Park each morning, the pool was a perfect way to relax and cool off. The room was spotless, modern, and updated, with very comfortable beds that made for great nights of rest. Overall, Villager Hotel delivered a memorable, family-friendly experience with great amenities and thoughtful extras. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bar Harbor! ⸻

Perfect location in Bar Harbor. Nice well kept pool. Building on property where some pre-prepared breakfast is available, along with fresh fruit, muffins, Danish, tea and coffee. Walkable to the sand bar and walking path along the water. Walkable to many shops, restaurants. Short drive to Acadia National Park. Very friendly helpful staff. Beds were comfy. Would be my 1st choice to stay if we get back to Bar Harbor.

This property exceeded my expectations. Every aspect of my visit was wonderful. Check in and staff could not have been more helpful. The room was comfortable clean and updated. Breakfast had plenty of options, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, breads and more. Location was perfect with restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Walkable to all the bar harbor restaurants, bars and shopping.

Three things are a must to me in the accommodation I use....clean, quiet and a large, comfortable bed. This place had all three and then some. Wonderful, fully equipped, large bathroom, a good size tv, a comfy area and plenty storage for yr belongings and luggage. Also a car park with plenty spaces. Staff were wonderfully welcoming at the front desk, informative and eager to accomodate, and the farewell cookie for yr journey was just a nice touch. The girls cleaning the rooms were so friendly and smiley and the guys doing the breakfast couldn't help you enough. Breakfast choice was really impressive and tasty. Breakfast area was also cleaned to a first class standard. Location was perfect..close enough to walk to everything and far enough away to not be bothered by noise. I can t recommend this place highly enough, I d stay again in a heartbeat. Well done to all concerned and thanks for yr hospitality!

The location is perfect, near downtown Bar Harbor. The bed was great, but the pillows were too small for the bed and not comfortable. The room was clean and staff was friendly. My wife enjoyed the breakfast because it included Avocado toast, but it wasn't to my liking. I could not stand the music the breakfast attendant was playing, some sort of Jamaican rap, so i had my coffee outside. There is a great coffee shop, just below the hotel and across the street. I had breakfast there. This is a good deal and a really nice place to stay if visiting the Bar Harbor area.

Enjoyed 6 nights stay. This is a very relaxing, quiet, peaceful setting. It reminded me of a mountain campground. Our room was in a building of 4. The retro decor was fun. Bedding was very comfortable. Room had a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, ample supply of toiletries including body lotion, shampoo & conditioner. Free parking at each building/room. It would have been nice if there were a small shelf or narrow table inside the bathroom to place your clothes on. Also I would have liked to have an additional chain/latch on the entry door in addition to the deadbolt lock. Grounds were nice with Adirondack chairs in grassy areas, a nice pool (heated I believe but we didn’t use), fire pit, guest laundry area, & they have activities for kids/families. Breakfast was much more plentiful than I had expected & was kept well stocked late into the morning! Bacon, link sausage, scrambled eggs daily. Either French toast, waffles, or pancakes that could be reheated were offered daily. Bowls of cut fruit, cheese cubes, assorted muffins, bagels, English muffins, banana bread, coffee cake, croissants, pastries, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, granola bars, oranges, apples, bananas (many items great to take on your hike), instant oatmeal, juices, coffee, tea, & hot chocolate. Staff was great & recommended some restaurants & boat tour company. Everyone was so helpful & friendly. Location was convenient to Acadia park entrance & to Bar Harbor village.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced, ideal location to stay for your visit to Acadia National Park, this is it! I ordinarily do not write any reviews, but I have to for this place. Bar Harbor Motel far exceeded my expectations. The location is convenient for the national park and nearby Bar Harbor. The rooms are spacious. The air conditioner/heater unit in the room was amazing… It did not wake me up even once (which NEVER happens for me in hotels). The staff was friendly. The breakfast was extremely vast, and the breakfast area was well maintained and clean. There are a variety of activities for kids to do, such as rock painting, s’mores making, and swimming in a very clean, well-maintained heated pool. If you are like me, and you are overwhelmed with looking at all the options to stay in this area, take it from me — stay here. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay the Bar Harbor Motel. I never leave reviews and my husband and I agreed that this place deserves it. The rooms and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The rooms are updated, have good working AC units, and were large for hotel standards. The bathroom was a little dated (not a negative for us, just wanted to mention) but so so clean. The tub sparkled lol. The pool area was clean, they provided pool towels which was great. The playground was in good shape, no scary rusty things like our hometown’s. There was enough “yard” to where our one year old could ramble around without us worrying about cars or other hazards. The continental breakfast was filling and full of options for everyone. The hotel is already a solid value but the breakfast made it an incredible value. The lobby has plenty of tables and chairs so a few nights we picked up dinner to go from town and ate in the lobby because it was peaceful and easier than the restaurant shuffle with two young children. The shuttle access was great. Most days we had to bargain with our five year old to leave the property. Every single employee was pleasant and friendly. They have hosted activities every day- we got to make s’mores two of the evenings and it was just a precious core memory. I would recommend this motel to anyone. It was hard to leave!

We stayed at Bar Harbor Motel for two nights with our family, booking two rooms, and we truly enjoyed everything about it. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The property has a peaceful, welcoming feel—perfect for families! The location is excellent—just minutes from both Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. The complimentary breakfast was a great start to our days, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this motel for families visiting the area. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay again!

Friendly, accommodating staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast with lots of options, i.e. fresh fruit, muffins, bagels and cereal. Comfortable and spacious breakfast area. Perfect location for our needs, close to Acadia National Park. There is a free shuttle that picks people up at various hotels, including Bar Harbor Motel, and drops them off at the Bar Harbor Village Center and brings them back, so you don’t have to drive into town.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Little Fig Hotel in Bar Harbor, and we couldn’t have been happier. Our room (313) was spacious, with two sitting areas, super clean, and looked like it had been recently updated. It had all the amenities we needed including a small fridge and microwave. We really appreciated the grab-and-go drinks/snacks/breakfast and the baked goods every night were a nice touch. What really made the Little Fig special was the staff. Everyone was friendly, but Kina stood out. She was super helpful and had a great sense of humor. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and welcoming hotel that’s an easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor and just a short drive to Acadia National Park, we highly recommend Little Fig.

Very recently renovated so everything was brand new and tastefully decorated. Room was clean, beds were comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grab and go breakfast until 11am (muffins, granola, yogurt, fruit) and coffee/tea/bottled water available all day. Room 207 very spacious and was actually two rooms in one (both with its own king bed and tv) ideal for our family of four. The room also had a mini fridge and microwave. Hotel was quaint, other guests were quiet and there was ample parking. Less than 10 minute drive to Acadia. Close enough to town to easily walk to everything and enough off the beaten path to be quiet. Kids and adults were very happy with the stay. Thank you Little Fig!

A lovely hotel, immaculate inside and out....loved the quirky wallpaper and ornaments in the reception area! Our check in was straight forward and the staff very friendly. Our room was two flights of stairs up and was lovely but hard work lugging cases up as no elevator so if you have mobility issues let the hotel know on booking! Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable....no kettle or coffee making facilities in the room but there is free coffee and cake etc at reception for you to help yourself to. Breakfast is also the same....cereal, coffee etc at reception but no designated dining room....we opted for fabulous Blueberry Pancakes at Jordans just across the street. The hotel is in a great area, about a 10 minute walk to the marina area with lots of great restaurants and shops! We really enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel.

We LOVED our start at The Little Fig! The staff were all amazing, but Kina checked us in and we chatted with her a few times during our stay and she was just lovely! She also baked amazingly delicious brownies and had them in the lobby for guests! The beds were comfortable and shower water pressure was good. The breakfast was grab and go, but the choices were nice, including bottled water or juice, as well as coffee/tea/hot chocolate. (We were on a longer trip along the East Coast and Little Fig was the only hotel to offer free breakfast, so we were thankful!) It’s just a short walk into downtown area with shops and restaurants, and a quick drive to the Acadia National Park. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re ever lucky enough to be back in Bar Harbor!

The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the area. They also gave great restaurant recommendations for Bar Harbor. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was comfy. The breakfast hit the spot with good quality food and the fresh baked goodies and snacks were a nice treat after long days hiking in Acadia. Suzi and Skye were fantastic!

Love this hotel!!! I traveled as a solo female (birthday trip!) and everything about this hotel is perfection. The location is ideal ~ directly across the street from the town green and walking distance to EVERYTHING. Acadia is only a 10 minute drive (to Beehive and also to Cadillac mountain....and the carriage roads are within biking/walking distance). 5 minute walk to ocean path and balance rock with SUNSET views.....10 minute walk to the sandbar to Bar Island and sunset views. So, so many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The rooms are spacious and lovely. Mini fridge, separate bathroom, plenty of closet and dresser space! The included (free) breakfast is fantastic ~ yogurt/granola, cereal, fruit, juices, bread/pastries, custom omelet bar! There is 24 access to tea/coffee and iced coffee on tap! You can borrow supplies (hiking, binoculars, swimming) And the staff is so friendly and welcoming ~ shoutout to all the amazing staff! Truly you can't go wrong ~ stop looking and just book the room.

Amazing experience. I was concerned with a few of the negative reviews specifically parking and breakfast but didn’t find either of these to be an issue. We actually loved the quaint little breakfast nook with quiet music and found the selection to be above par. Homemade omelettes with a variety of breads and other typical continental breakfast offerings with an upgraded setting. The parking lot is small, for sure would be an issue on busier times but we had no trouble mid September. The location for the hotel was honestly the most perfect and couldn’t have expected better. The room was also great bed was comfortable, bathroom small but certainly not an issue. Service was great, staff friendly. We loved having the balcony overlooking the main street I would recommend this place to anyone especially couples looking for a nice weekend getaway. Bar harbor is perfect for that.

I absolutely loved our stay at Acadia Downtown Hotel! It’s such a cute and friendly place. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Each morning, breakfast was a treat—especially Annie’s omelets, which are hands down the best! The location is perfect too—just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, convenient, and welcoming place to stay

Location great. A nice walk to town. Had a balcony room that was very comfortable and nice view of the town. At check in and through out the week, Kat was very professional, welcoming and friendly. Nice bar/lounge offering drinks,dinner and breakfast. Shower hot water pressure was quite low. Overall a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.

Our first time in Bar Harbor. This is a nice little inn with friendly staff. Property is well maintained. Only downside is the room was very small. We had a king size bed with less than 3’ on either side. Closet is only a foot wide. We had 2 large bags and there was no where to store them. There is a headboard attached to the wall that was not comfortable for sitting. The bed was comfortable for sleeping. Baked goods for breakfast were delicious. Eggs were only so-so. But you don’t go to Bar Harbor to sit in a hotel room. This is a nice convenient place to rest your head after a fun day in the park or village.

It’s clean and love the waterfront view. Indoor pool and jacuzzi are perfect.

Having breakfast outside on the patio, overlooking the water was just lovely! My 10yr old specially enjoyed the indoor pool and my husband, the jacuzzi. We did have to change rooms since we extended our stay, they took care of transporting our luggage- including some of the food we had kept in the refrigerator!

The hotel is beautiful, especially the view which is absolutely breathtaking. The staff was wonderful, everyone was exceptionally kind. The housekeeping does an excellent job. The room was clean, modern and spacious. We had a beautiful balcony with a gorgeous view of the bay. The beds are AMAZING! They do a wonderful complementary breakfast with tons of delicious options. The Bistro restaurant in the hotel has a gorgeous view and outdoor seating options. We ate there twice and both times the food was amazing! My children loved the outdoor playground area, and the s’mores by the fire after dinner. If I take another trip to Acadia I will definitely stay at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel again. I would and will recommend to everyone I know. 😊 Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Fantastic hotel situated by the sea, very close to Bar Harbour and the Acadia national park entrance. We had a clean, comfortable room in a modern building with balcony and sea view. There's a little beach with pebbles and a playground for kids on the hotel grounds. The hotel has a warm indoor pool, a hot tub and a small gym. There's also an outdoor pool (which is seasonally open). The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there is complimentary coffee and cookies/muffins in the lobby. The service is great, the staff is very friendly and you can get information about the national park and local events from the lobby. The hotel organised a campfire in the evening with s'mores for the kids. We also tried the restaurant, the food was good. There's laundry facilities in the hotel, water refilling stations and free parking. Overall we had an excellent stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Great value for money sea-view room just outside of Bar Harbor, but an easy walk in to town if you fancy a stroll. Public areas were immaculate, welcoming and gave a great first impression. Hot drinks available in reception area all day (I think). Rooms themselves were plenty roomy, very clean, fab decor and the balconies great for enjoying the views; beds were comfy and it was pretty quiet at night, although I did have neighbours who banged and crashed about from about 6am - my bad luck, I guess... Breakfast was amazing, had about everything you could wish for and good quality. Particularly loved the fresh fruit and pastries selection, although there was at least two hot savouries available, too. We requested toast and that was brought fresh to our table - brilliant! There was a social fire pit one evening, too - thoroughly enjoyed chatting to folk around that.

This is a brand new hotel that just opened November 2024 . This place is immaculately clean, our room was very spacious, he could easily accommodate a wheelchair. There is a tub with shower and safety bar in the bathroom along with heated floor floors for Comfort. The room we stayed in had a large king size bed with refrigerator and microwave and I have practitioner wall with another room with a twin bed TV stand and lamp, which was equally spacious. This room would be perfect for a small family as there is lots room to add a cot if needed and not feel cramped at all. When we walked in, we were greeted with muffins, fresh baked cookies, tea, and coffee. Staff was very friendly upon arrival gave us all the information we needed, including informing us. That breakfast was included from 7 to 10 AM and it is not your average free breakfast. We had blueberry stuffed French toast, frittata, they had scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, bacon, homefries, muffins, coffee, tea, and juice. Every plate was also served with fresh fruit, watermelon, cantaloupe, melon, blueberries, and strawberries. We also had dinner here last night. It was mainly Italian and was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. I will tell you this is Hotel is moderately priced, with the breakfast included and being only two blocks from downtown the harbor area with all the shops. This is the perfect location for families with children or for couples looking for a getaway. And want to have a nice weekend away.

Our fantastic trip to Bar Harbor was even more remarkable because of our 6 night stay at the Pathmaker Hotel. Every review we read was very favorable, but the actual experience exceeded our already high expectations. All staff we interacted with from arrival to departure were welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to interact with. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, as was the rest of the property. Breakfast and dinner choices were wonderful and tasty. Servers were 100% on top of their game, personable, and very efficient. A cozy bar adjoining the restaurant was well stocked, and our bartender was a gem. A variety of coffees, teas, candies, and cookies were always available in the comfortable lobby. Free covered parking was provided on site. The hotel's location was very convenient, putting the abundance of amazing restaurants, bars, shops, and "must see" sights of Bar Harbor within easy, well lit, walking distance. Bravo, Pathmaker! Our 5 star recommendation in every category is easy to give. Thank you for a great week!

The most incredible hotel in Bar Harbor, Maine! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The manager, Mackenzie, was so warm and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. What really made my experience stand out were the amazing staff members, Olivia and Marina. They were not only super knowledgeable about the area, giving me the best recommendations for hikes, restaurants, and shops, but they were also just so lovely to chat with. They truly made me feel welcome. And then, there was the breakfast... wow, just wow! I've stayed at countless hotels, but the breakfast spread here was honestly out of this world. I mean, it was better than any other hotel breakfast I've ever had by a lightyear! All of the food was freshly made, rather than the usual buffet-style soggy eggs and stale toast. I'm still dreaming about the freshly baked pastries (I may have snagged a few cookies. Or 10. Or a dozen). Overall, my stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. The combination of the beautiful location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional staff made for an unforgettable experience. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bar Harbor, and I'm already counting down the days until I can return. Excellent location ..right in the center of town with everything in Bar Harbor within 2 minutes of walking. Underground parking ...so bringing in your luggage to your room is without any hassle. Totally renovated so rooms are spotless clean comfortable and cozy. Excellent bedding and bathroom facilities with heat and exhaust. Well lit. Breakfast is restaurant style with gourmet choices. Not your typical English breakfast. Fresh baked Blueberry muffin is your welcome item at your breakfast before you make your choice from the six options for your gourmet breakfast. . Staff are extremely friendly and ready to help you with anything you need.

Spacious and clean room. S’mores activity at night was a good idea. Beautiful walk to downtown Bar Harbor. Didn’t try the pool and jacuzzi, but it looked cozy.

Easy location to walk to or take the shuttle to Village Green where you could take other shuttles to popular parts of Acadia. The breakfast was great and the pool and jacuzzi were nice as well

Cannot think of anything that could have been better! All comforts imaginable, big comfortable beds and rooms, self service laundry, a huge help on a weeks’ long trip, outdoor pool and a jacuzzi, beautiful outdoor space for the kids and adults alike with lots of toys provided. Evenings around the fire pit making s’mores, an amazing experience for our kids coming from Europe, having never done it before of course. A nice breakfast too. Complimentary treats all day long, snacks and lemonade in the lobby. Above all, the care we received from the staff, unbelievably nice and helpful all of them. We stayed in multiple hotels during our stay in the US and I cannot understand how Acadia Inn only earned its three stars! Our stay at the Inn was a straight five star experience!

4.5/5 Old building but clean and very well maintained. Female staff really nice. Bed was excellent. Linen good. Towels good. Choice of pillows. Bathroom was lovely. Huge shower with sliding glass doors. Beekind products which were good. Separate washer for makeup and makeup remover too. GF breakfast station w dedicated toaster with bread, 2 types of bagels and blueberry muffins. Also omelets, eggs, fruit etc. Excellent breakfast selection for others. Something on every night movie, s’mores. Coffee, tea, biscuits and fruit available most of the time. No freezer in fridge but the fridge was quiet. Could hear some walking noise from above. We did ask for room away from the road but didn’t get it. The road was pretty quiet but privacy from the carpark was an issue on the ground floor. Easy access to Bar Harbor via the free island explorer bus which stops at the entry portico of the Inn. Had dinner in Bar Harbor and caught the bus back to the Inn. We drove to Visitors centre. Hotel parking was great.

I just came back from an amazing trip to the Acadia Inn. My adult daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days while exploring Acadia National Park and were so impressed. The hotel had a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning with a great variety. They had a make your own trail mix station 3 times a week, charcuterie board every night, fresh oatmeal raisin cookies every night at the front desk and s'mores by the fire pit every night. They had a wonderful backyard with yard games, a playground and a fenced in swimming pool area. This hotel is wonderful for young families for the backyard alone! The hotel was clean and had a very kind and helpful staff that was always working and sharing helpful tips for the area. This hotel had several sustainability features and you could sense they truly cared about the environment. Big tip, use the Island Explorer shuttle to downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and different parts of the island. It stops literally in front of the hotel and you don’t need to drive anywhere if you don’t want to. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when I return.

We were there for a special occasion. Our room was upgraded and we received a bottle of champagne too. The bed was comfortable, the extra space was nice and jacuzzi wonderful. Chris and Sydney were very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. A lovely place to stay.

We just came back from a truly idyllic vacation in Bar Harbor. The Bar Harbor Manor is an extraordinarily beautiful, comfortable, and convenient place to stay in the area. Our "room" was huge with a sitting area, jacuzzi tub, king size bed, and mini kitchen. It was spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were like sleeping on clouds. There was a continental breakfast in the lobby each morning - muffins, yogurt, protein bars, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. - and there were fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies every afternoon. The very best part were our hosts - Constance, Christopher, and Sydney. They gave us great advice about where to go, what to see, and most importantly, where to eat! Christopher gave us several options that offer gluten free entrees and Sydney sent us to Beal's to have the best lobster roll ever! Thank you all so much for making our stay an absolute joy.

Our king suite was awesome!! The bed was firm and very comfortable. We had ample room to enjoy our 4 day stay. The jacuzzi tub was used frequently to ease sore muscles after hiking the trails at Acadia. Upon returning to our unit each day, our room was spotless and welcoming. The cookies in the office were a welcome afternoon treat as were the blueberry muffins for breakfast. Bar Harbor Manor is a quiet beautiful place to stay while in Bar Harbor and the location makes it simple to walk to downtown Bar Harbor to enjoy the shops and views of the harbor. The office staff are eager to talk to you about things to do and where to eat. Their recommendations are always spot on. We have stayed here numerous times when we visit the area and will definitely be back.

Wonderful! Very convenient location. Immaculate, comfy beds, nice cool rooms, awesome balcony, huge rooms with mini frig. The beds are so comfortable. I even asked for a pillow that was. not so think and they went to their pillow closet and got a thinner pillow. The grab and go breakfast is out until 10:30 and is perfect - coffee, orange juice, fresh muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, bananas and oranges. Granola bars are out to take on your hike. Coffee is available all throughout the day as well as lemonade. Fresh cookies are there in the afternoon. The best part of all is Constance who completely mapped out each day of hiking and where to eat on our four night trip. She had advised us to get the Cadillac Mountain sunset pass for the evening we arrived then we ate at the cozy and delicious Black Friar Pub. We hiked Jordan Pond, Sand Lake, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs and had lunch under the yellow umbrella terrace at Bar Harbor Inn with an amazing view to the harbor and lobster. We hiked Southwest Harbor and ate at Beal's Lobster Pound - amazing. Also hiked Northeast Harbor and Shore Line Trail. We stayed in hotel room 301 which was very large wirh an elevator and balcony with our car parked right outside! It was rhetorical perfect stay! Thank you Constance! I hope your manager knows how valuable you are!

Bar Harbor Manor Hotel 47 Holland Ave Bar Harbor Maine is a 5 ⭐️ Stars! We had a fabulous stay at Bar Harbor Manor. Very pretty decor and spacious rooms and suites . Very clean ! Our suite had a lovely balcony to sit and relax . What we loved was Christopher , Constance and Sydney were always available at the front desk with all sorts of recommendations to go and eat , bike rentals and hiking trails! Every morning fresh blueberry muffins , fresh brewed coffee , tea and juice were available every am 7:30 to 10am .Plus other breakfast bars to choose or all types of yogurts at front office . Also at night they would have fresh brewed coffee and homemade chocolate chip cookies ! They are walking distance to bar harbor center and ocean / harbor and beautiful center of restaurants , so many cute stores , candy /chocolate/taffy stores , book stores , ice cream and so much more . Wonderful place to stay while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The room was perfect and the entire Inn is immaculate and charming. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was the perfect destination to relax on a rainy day. Beautiful view from our room of the beautiful harbor and it’s in walking distance of town. Highly recommend for a classic Maine vacation.

Very nice property close to the main action areas of Bar Harbor. Stayed in a 3rd floor King suite . The lobby was very spacious, élégant and has a bar and a skilled pianist at night. 24 hour self serve coffee in the lobby. The property looks better in person to me than the photos. Decor is old school charm ( think Queen Anne with floral curtain s, ). The elevators and hallways have art and photos on the walls and glass mini chandelier lights. The room was clean, very large with Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave. large dual sink vanity stocked with lots of toiletries and great smelling bars of soap. The toilet and shower are in a room separate from the vanity area. large king bed, 2 night stands, nice short chest of drawers. Large flat screen tv. plenty of HOT WATER and good water pressure. small desk and chair. The other part of the room , the sitting area, features a 2 person couch, coffee table, end table, extra chair and a very nice MASSAGE CHAIR( GREAT FEATURE). There is a large, gas fireplace which puts our great heat. Large balcony with a terrific few of the bay , islands and boats. The A/C is a window unit that is effective and adjustable though a bit loud. Nice breakfast restaurant in a différent building. There is a gym, indoor pool and steam room in a dedicated building. Overall a GREAT STAY. my major wish would be an electronic lock system instead of the old fashioned metal key. View from breakfast room.was awesome.lunch service would be nice

We loved our stay at the Bluenose! It's a beautiful location. We purposely chose the water view and I'm so glad that we did. The way it's set up on the hill is perfect for seeing out into the bay. The room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the restaurant and the neighboring hotel for breakfast one morning. We otherwise kept snacks and breakfast items in our room refrigerator. Be sure to listen to the pianist who plays in the bar lobby area most nights. We enjoyed chatting with him and hearing him play everything by ear! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! We also loved the handy bus that goes right from the parking lot to the downtown area of Bar Harbor - super helpful, as the parking downtown is crazy. The bus system is amazing and goes into Acadia and surrounding areas. Use it!

Amazing ocean views from the main building. Greeted every morning with the sunrise and one or two cruise ships in the bay. Very spacious room and with a private terrace and gas fireplace. The bathroom was spacious as well with plenty of vanity space and the shower and toilet were behind a door, so no mirror fogging. Even when it was fifty degrees at 7am, we could sit on the terrace in the sun and enjoy morning coffee and the incredible view. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic and incredibly family-friendly from beginning to end. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for traveling with kids. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, always greeting us with a smile and offering helpful suggestions for nearby family activities. We especially appreciated the little touches that made a big difference, like a kid-friendly breakfast selection, safe and quiet hallways, and convenient amenities for parents. The location was great for accessing local attractions, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming for families of all sizes. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay with our family and would gladly return on our next trip.

My daughter and I stayed at Seasider Motel and had the most wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and welcoming. The location is perfect—tucked just outside the hustle of downtown Bar Harbor, yet close enough to everything we wanted to see and do. Our room was spotless and cozy, with thoughtful touches that made it feel more like a home than a hotel. The grounds are quiet and well-kept, and we loved how easy it was to get to Acadia National Park from the motel. But what really stood out was the kindness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely cared that we had a great stay. Traveling with my daughter made this trip extra special, and Seasider gave us the perfect place to rest and make memories. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bar Harbor. We’ll definitely be back!

So let me start by saying this is very much a basic motel, but you absolutely cannot beat the price for Bar Harbor! It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the grab and go breakfast was the good stuff, and you are backed up to some nature. We were able to walk everywhere with no problem and it didn’t feel as if you were “outside” of town. If your looking for luxury, this definitely isn’t it but if you are looking for an affordable spot with clean bed and clean shower in a quiet spot… you found it. I would definitely stay here again. For Bar Harbor this is a great deal

This motel is just outside the Bar Harbor tourist area, very walkable with interesting things to see on the walk into the food/shopping area. Closest to the Cadillac entrance of Acadia Park. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with a concrete stairwell leading to the second story rooms. Continental breakfast with good coffee in the am; energy bar snacks out most of the day. Staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This motel was very clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. It’s located about 8-10 minutes walk from the beachfront, restaurant and shopping area. The only slight downside was the limited choice at the grab and go breakfast, but that wasn’t a big deal for our family. They have cereal, some fresh fruit, coffee, muffins. If you like a heavy hot breakfast, this might not work for you. Right next to a road. But we didn’t hear road noise at night.

We stayed at this charming inn for three nights and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the place had an incredibly warm and homey vibe that made us feel instantly comfortable and relaxed. The daily breakfast was absolutely amazing. Each morning we were offered something fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. Another lovely touch was the afternoon tea service at 3:00 p.m., complete with a delightful spread of cakes, cookies, and of course, tea. In the mornings we would grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee from the inn, and walk across the sandbar — accessible only when the tide was out. The location of the inn is also ideal. It’s just a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor, so we could easily explore shops, restaurants, and the waterfront without ever needing to drive. At the same time, it’s nestled on a quiet side street, providing a peaceful and relaxing retreat after a day of adventuring. All in all, this inn offers the perfect balance of comfort, charm, and convenience.

Our stay at Sand Bar Cottage was memorable and fantastic. The location was perfect, with the ability to walk to all the local restaurants and shopping. The house has great character, and the room was spacious and updated. There was attention to detail on everything from the physical building to the level of service from the staff. An extra special thank you goes to Michelle for recommendations on restaurants and trails to hike, and of course to Chris who is an amazing innkeeper, with great insights into Bar Harbor and plenty of witty banter. Breakfast was delicious and the extra snacks were a nice touch. The grounds are well maintained and there is a firepit which made for great socializing in the evenings. Overall excellent experience and we would stay here anytime we are in Bar Harbor.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Chris was extremely helpful + friendly upon arrival, we got the room that we desired, and felt it was extremely clean. Breakfast was included every morning + tasty, we felt it was both cozy yet, modern, and it was in perfect walking distance to everything that we wanted to do in Bar Harbor: restaurants, shopping, etc. We also found it to be very close to Acadia which was convenient! Would recommend this place to anyone!

While planning our visit to Bar Harbor we decided to stay at the Sand Bar Cottage which is just a 5-minute walk to downtown and a short drive to Acadia National Park. There are a number of cottages at this Inn, and we stayed in the "Acadia" cottage on the first floor which had a very spacious and well-appointed room which was spotless, comfortable and had all of the amenities that would be expected at an Inn of this caliber. Parking was convenient right outside our door which was great as the public street parking situation is a chore to say the least. Upon arrival we met with the Innkeeper, Chris, who made it very clear that he and his staff were going to do everything possible to spoil us and make our stay a pleasant experience which they were successful in doing. Breakfast in the morning was served with a gourmet flair with dining in either the dining room or on the porch. Lemonade and some serious afternoon snacks were served every day with Chris or his staff making sure that everything was just perfect. Outdoor live music and a full bar available for purchase was nightly while we were there and we thought that it was a nice touch in the evening. A very pleasant and enjoyable experience that will always be remembered as first class.

Words cannot express how wonderful and amazing the Sand Bar Cottage Inn is. My wife and I stayed here for five nights and we cannot be happier about our experience here at the Sand Bar Cottage. Our room was absolutely wonderful; Chris - the Innkeeper is wonderful and so friendly and tends to whatever you need you might need. The morning breakfast is absolutely delicious and exquisite and is in a beautiful setting where you prefer to sit inside in a beautifully decorated in or on the beautiful wraparound porch. The staff at the cottage is wonderful and maintains the property perfectly. My wife and I will definitely be coming back many times. If you’re staying in BAR HARBOR - you should definitely consider staying here. The location is perfect and walkable to everything in the village of BAR HARBOR.

The ONLY thing that bothered me about this stay was the price. At almost $400/night (when fees & taxes were added), it seemed expensive for a room in an older style motel with no frills, no breakfast, & very little amenities. That being said, the rooms were clean & in very good condition. There was only one community microwave to use in the Lobby but there was a fridge in the room. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and informative. When we checked in, they had maps ready to show us the recommended eating & shopping places and how to get there. Parking was free & it was an easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor so it was nice not to have to fight for a parking spot because we could leave our car at the motel. It was also in a good location to slip out & be on our way to Acadia Nat'l Park quickly without fighting traffic. The beds were comfortable & the water was hot. Even though they did not offer breakfast, they did have a coffee bar in the lobby that was available for hot drinks & guests had a code to access the lobby before/after hours. If it had been less expensive, it would have been nice to have had more time to explore Bar Harbor & Acadia Park, but the price of the rooms limited our stay to 2 nights. To be fair, the prices in the area were all a little steep though, and some much higher than what we paid so maybe it was just a matter of demand over supply, but it hurts a common person's budget to pay that much just to have a place to sleep.

Our stay at Island Place was wonderful! We went to Bar Harbor at a very busy time of year and it was a MAJOR plus to park at IP and be able to walk to the village center. Everything we needed to get to (restaurants, bars and shopping) was in walking distance. The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend staying at IP if you are visiting Bar Harbor.

We absolutely loved our stay! We couldn’t believe how nice the room was. It was very clean and spacious, it had a nice little front porch area and a nice sized cupboard to store our smaller suitcases. The staff on site were extremely friendly and helpful, they provided us with a local map and marked out recommendations for coffee, breakfast and dinner places. It was a 5 minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor and we had no issues with parking at all.

For guests willing to walk a little further to reach town (only 1/2 mile), Island Place offers an exceptional value, a clean space, and welcoming, helpful, and friendly staff. Check in/out was a breeze, the commodities (coffee, tea, microwave) offered in the office and having included parking made for a hassle-free process and the ability to have hot coffee for the Cadillac sunrise!

Peaceful spot close to town and Acadia. The rooms are spotless, the front porch relaxing and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor. Thank you Maureen and Melissa for your impeccable hospitality. Love your dahlias too!

Room was dated but clean. Great view. Nice walk to Bar Harbor and parking crowds were not as issue. Staff was very helpful. Enjoyed the hottub after hiking all day.

A Perfect Stay in Bar Harbor! My recent stay at the Wonderview Inn in Bar Harbor was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The inn’s charming, cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home, and its location is unbeatable—just a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor and a quick drive to Acadia National Park. The rooms were immaculately clean, well-appointed, and filled with thoughtful details. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved waking up to the peaceful surroundings. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast at the Looking Glass restaurant, featuring fresh local ingredients. It was the perfect start to a day of exploring the stunning scenery of Mount Desert Island. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. They were knowledgeable about the area and offered great suggestions for dining, hikes, and activities. If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable stay in Bar Harbor, I highly recommend Wonderview Inn. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return!

I had a 1st floor ocean view room up the hill next to the Looking Glass Restaurant. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the view was wonderful. I enjoyed being able to access the pool and other amenities at the Blue Note down the hill. Location was perfect for me. Great view, close enough to walk to town but far enough away from town that it was quiet and calm. The free bus service to and from Bar Harbor was great, although the last two return buses of the evening were hard to get a seat on (not the hotel's fault obviously). It was only a 20 minute walk home and the transport folks at the village green were making sure everyone who needed a ride got one. Every staff member I encountered was genuinely friendly and pleasant and helpful. I stupidly forgot to get my valuables out of the safe, and they had maintenance get them as soon as I realized my error (when I was already down near Boston getting ready for my flight home), and they set me up with a courier service. Every single item was returned to me, down to some quarters. Had breakfast at the Looking Glass each morning because you cannot beat that view, and you can charge to your room. Prices weren't so bad considering the top notch view and being hotel adjacent.

Our stay at the Wonder View Inn was perfect. The location was very close to both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The room itself had a great view of the harbor with a balcony. The bed was comfortable. Our room was just steps away from the on-site restaurant that serves both breakfast and lunch. Something of note was the amazing water pressure in the shower. Perfect after a day of hiking/touring!

Kimball Terrace, located on the north side of the harbor- offers many rooms with harbor views and a setting that’s only about a five-minute walk to the village. In between the harbor and motel are some nice views of the expansive lush green lawn. With hills in the background rounding out this splendid scene -which I always enjoyed (see the pic attached with this review) it also has a nice outdoor swimming pool (you’ll have to catch a very warm day to use the pool, given this is Maine!) and an excellent breakfast-lunch-dinner restaurant that includes patio dining overlooking the harbor. it offers clean, spacious motel rooms, most with a private balcony and a splendid view of the Town's Green and Harbor. When you are at the reception area- you can see its history in photographs. I talked to the receptionist and she was very insightful, telling us how this hotel was renovated. it has its history. Our room was on the ground floor-spacious, with a fridge. Microwave - not permittable as per rule but except that, it has everything. in the morning - what a view it was ... loved it. note: Northeast Harbor is a gem on its own, a quaint little village with some beautiful harbor views and a good mix of friendly little shops and restaurants. do explore the area.

The property is older, but very well maintained. Rooms are motor court entry, and there is an elevator. No breakfast, but coffee available in the am. There is a gift shop with breakfast bars available for purchase. The rooms are clean, well appointed and have a lovely view of the harbor and pool. The rooms also have a patio. There is an excellent seafood restaurant next door (I think owned by same people); we ate there twice and enjoyed it. Convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It’s not luxurious, but an excellent value. We would definitely stay again. 5 stars if a complimentary continental breakfast offered.

Kimball Terrace Inn was an amazing place to stay. We were visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia and this location was perfect! The room was clean, beds were comfy. My grandchildren and I absolutely loved the pool. It was clean, water was very comfortable. I’d recommend the Kimball Terrace and I’ll definitely stay there again next visit.

Perfect place to stay if you want the fun of Bar Harbor without the crowd. Just a 20 minute scenic drive into Bar Harbor, though Northeast Harbor has great restaurants and coffee, plus some little shops and a great art gallery! Loved this place. Clean, quiet, friendly staff, and good food next door at the Nor’Easter.

I would 100% stay here again. The town nearby was cute and sitting on my balcony I could watch the harbor while having my morning coffee. The inn is not high tech and modern, it has more of a classic feel (you get a physical key not a key card for your room) which was appreciated since I was there for hiking it fit the vibe very well. If you are looking for a nice view and a quiet location with quick access to the whole island than this is the place. The staff were a highlight, I had confidence that my room was clean and refreshed when requested, the pool was pristine, and they were all friendly and helpful.
