The parking, the fact that the hotel is off a main road, the pool & jacuzzi, the free nightly "kick back" with food & 3 free drinks & the free breakfast in the morning. Every staff member we saw spoke to us & were friendly! Anytime I need to go to Birmingham for an overnight stay I will seek out the Drury Inn again!

We stay here every time we're in the area. Always friendly and helpful staff. Love the hot kickback dinner with drinks and hot breakfast. Suite is super nice and spacious but two queen room feels a bit tight/small. We had friends and family join us at the hotel for graduation. It's family friendly and welcoming. Lobby has popcorn in afternoon and lots of spaces to work, eat or visit. We saw several people celebrating birthdays in the lobby. They also accommodate dogs and have pet area outside. Pool is combo indoor and outdoor. This is clean safe and quiet location 15 minutes from everywhere in BHM with plenty of parking and restaurant across parking lot.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at this location. Each and every staff member was friendly and very accommodating! A special thank you to Robin ( front desk check in), Danielle (cocktail hour), and Ayana ( front desk check out) for their exceptional service! This hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the food and beverages were great during cocktail hour and breakfast. We had 2 rooms and both were immaculate! We will definitely stay here anytime we are in Birmingham. Kudos to the whole staff!

The room was so nice and comfortable. The bed was so very comfortable, clean, and perfect room temp. The pillows were divine. Loved the shower; it was the best shower I have ever had at any property, regardless of price. Nice towels and linens, appreciated that. TV got all the channels and worked great. Great breakfast with plenty of choices. Loved the raisin toast with cream cheese and the fruit both days. Staff so genuinely friendly and hospitable.

Have stayed here many time. Always squeaky clean and we love the pool and hottub. Breakfast could be better (undercooked eggs, overcooked pancakes, etc) but hey...it's free.

This is a 5 story hotel that is large. Plenty of parking. We arrived late and missed out on drinks and dinner, although we were offered drinks upon arrival. Beds were comfy, room was clean and spacious. Bathroom had just a shower with sliding door, but big. Staff was friendly, smiling, and welcoming. At check in, Lavonda was great! Breakfast had pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and all other bread and cereals, juice and soda. We brought 3 small children and they loved it.

It was New Year’s Eve and the Inn offered a complimentary buffet dinner! It was very good! The lounge/eating area was packed with happy travelers. Each person was also given cards for free beverages in the little bar. This was all totally unexpected and much appreciated! The next morning (New Year’s Day) the breakfast was so fresh and tasty, with many choices available. Cereals, eggs, pastries, waffles, sausages, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, juices, milk, coffee, tea……everything anyone could want!

Location & safe, clean environment. My Mother was visiting Birmingham for a medical procedure the next morning. She has mobility difficulties. We selected this hotel based on the close location to the hospital and good reviews. Room was very clean, easily assessable and comfortable. Bathroom shower fit my Mom’s needs perfectly! Staff was very courteous and helpful. I would recommend and stay there again if needed.

This property exceeded my expectations! It’s in a beautiful, green, lush area of Birmingham and the conditions of the Hotel were excellent. The staff were all very very nice and they have a restaurant/bar onsite as well as a great snack shop. Loved this property and would definitely book again if I’m ever in Birmingham! The hotel is in a quiet area but only 5-10 minutes from “The Summit”, which is where all the restaurants and shops are. Very convenient and safe!

Walking in, the hotel is nicely decorated with a beautiful relaxing color scheme. The lobby area is very clean and inviting. The staff are very friendly and helpful- going over and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The room was very clean. Thank you!

The Hilton Garden Inn in Birmingham is a nice hotel in an area away from the city that is quiet and safe. The front desk staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. There are areas inside and outside to enjoy if you want to get out of the room.

Had eye surgery and had to spend night for next day checkup. Very comfortable, quiet and restaurant had excellent burger for him & perfect salad with grilled salmon for me. Breakfast was excellent as well. Going to stay there again in a few weeks.

My recent stay at Hyatt Regency Birmingham- The Wynfrey Hotel was absolutely fantastic, largely due to its prime location and outstanding amenities. If you're looking for a hotel that puts the entire city at your doorstep, this is it. The moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by lovely city views. Both day and night, the panoramic skyline offered a beautiful backdrop to my stay, making morning coffee and evening relaxation truly memorable. The room itself was really nice, quiet, and very comfortable—a genuine urban sanctuary. However, the real highlight is the unbeatable convenience. Being steps away or a short drive from major shopping centers, like The Galleria or the Grove, made retail therapy effortless. Furthermore, the sheer variety of restaurants within a two-block radius was incredible, ranging from quick bites to high-end dining. For travelers who value accessibility and luxury with a reasonable price and view, I highly recommend booking your next trip here.

The staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet with a great view and the water pressure in the shower (on the 9th floor no less) was just AWESOME!!! The breakfast was pretty good as well.

We came to Birmingham for a weekend event. The hotel we originally booked was horrific, so I hopped on Booking and was able to grab a room here. Check-in was seamless. The front desk staff were exceptionally professional, friendly, and helpful. The valets were absolutely on their jobs. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the staff handling was friendly. The hotel is connected to the Galleria, so shopping is very convenient. Great location and was within reasonable driving distance to the BJCC which we were in town for. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Birmingham.

I'd rate this hotel 10 stars if i could. I felt like royalty the moment i hit the property. The valets were so sweet and helpful. The ladies at the front desk got me checked in and out quickly and efficiently. The room itself was worth every penny and more. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was luxurious. I could have spent hours in the shower, especially since they had this great smelling soap. I had a great view of the city from my window and were so close to a lot of really cool venues. This is the only hotel I'll be staying at when i go to birmingham. 100/10

The staff is friendly - Faith at the front desk texted me after we’d settled in to ensure the room was in good order. She couldn’t have been more friendly and even printed out tow truck companies for us as we had car issues right before arriving. The hot breakfast was great - options were waffles, eggs, breakfast potatoes, cereal, fruit, yogurt. Nice coffee bar as well. We will stay here again on our way down to the beach! Thanks for the excellent accommodations and service.

No complaints! We booked this hotel at the last minute to attend a concert at the Protective Stadium. The hotel was clean and friendly staff. Our room was cozy and bed comfortable. The complimentary coffee was delicious. There are several restaurants and stores conveniently located nearby.

The room was very clean. Staff very nice. Fluffy omelet for breakfast, grits, sausage, potatoes, biscuit and gravy. Sounds like the typical hotel breakfast, but this was done with care and quality, there was a noticeable difference. After arrival at hotel I receive a text from the front desk asking if the room was up to my expectations (my wording). Staff making sure I was comfortable or needed anything. What a nice touch! This was a very enjoyable stay. We were in town for my husband’s knee replacement surgery and the walk in shower with bench was perfect! The room was nice and clean and beds were pretty comfortable. We upgraded our room to a balcony room with no problem. The check in was easy and everyone was friendly and helpful. The balcony rooms are awesome. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony during our stay. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of foods. We also ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The food was really good and the people that own/run it were super nice.

This is an older, historic hotel with lots of charm. The rooms and suites were larger in comparison with other newer hotels. The decor is dated, but the hotel was clean. The staff was courteous and helpful but the valet staff was outstanding. The drive and entryway is very tight and the unloading area is small. Valet parking is the only safe parking available, but don't be put off by the small quarters. I have used valet services in many cities and venues and this was by far the most efficient, quickest valet service I have encountered. Vince was outstanding in guest interactions. He even learned the members of our family who were all in for a wedding and was able to time getting numerous cars around the same timeframe. The longest wait was only about 11 minutes. Exceptional! The onsite restaurant was a nice surprise and the staff there were very accommodating as well. The bed linens and pillows could use some upgrades but the towels are bath sheets not regular towels which is a nice touch. We requested a refrigerator for our room and one was brought up. The complimentary breakfast was a complete spread and was very good for hotel breakfast. Offerings were replenished throughout the service time and the dining area was kept clean. This was a great location for our wedding party - close to venues for Friday and Saturday. There are also dining options close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a downtown vibe with charm.

The location was great, valet staff greeted us immediately and the front desk staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is beautiful with modern amenities as you stand in the middle of Birmingham history. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, a variety to choose from and served in a beautiful room that allows for a cozy, private feeling. At the advice of the staff, we took a walk out onto the beautiful balcony, then on the 8th floor to see more photos and history and beautiful views of the city from the large open windows.

This was a historic site. Or so it said. This property needs some serious love, attention, & updating. We were *not* impressed with clearly unattended carpeting we felt needed some *serious* deep cleaning. It was humid in our room despite the temperature set to cool our room to 65°. Breakfast was, in our opinion, less than fair ("scrambled eggs" tasted like they were made from powdered eggs) & by the end of our week-long stay, there were limited options for some items like fresh fruit. Parking was extremely limited on site & expensive at $38/night for valet onsite parking! Staff, however, was friendly and helpful, gave good advice on local restaurants, & greeted us nicely coming into & leaving the hotel. Showers were nice and hot & didn't scald when someone upstairs flushed their commode. In terms of location, this property is an easy safe walk to the convention center, local restaurants, & interesting sites. We had no difficulty getting an Uber when we needed to.

Hotel is exactly as pictured. Not sure when it was built but you could tell there is a lot of history. Very clean. Room was very clean and very comfortable beds. All the staff were super friendly. Breakfast included. Great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again.

I really like the whole experience. The young man checked me in is phenomenal.Jay needs a raise and promotion! Definitely went over and beyond. But, all of the staff there was wonderful. The restaurant connected was incredible! The room was great as well, but the jacuzzi tub didn't seem like it was cleaned thoroughly. But everything else was perfect

My husband and I needed a night of rest from our caretaking of my mother-in-law. We arrived to friendly front desk personnel. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We had breakfast the following morning which was delicious. There was fresh made hot food of grits, eggs, bacon, sausage and diced potatoes. There was a nice selection of fresh cut fruit as well as apples and bananas. We had our choice of beverages with our breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Birmingham area or needing a relaxing getaway.

My hubs had tests and a procedure at UAB and this hotel is connected to the hospital. Very convenient in not having to try and locate parking because you are already there! Speaking of parking it’s a battle to find parking in the 4th Street parking garage. There are plenty of restaurants to walk too from coffee shops, breakfast spots, lunch and dinner. The room was very clean, the bed comfy, plenty of linens provided by housekeeping staff and the large room spacious and nicely decorated. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. A little pricey but worth it. The hospital even provides wheelchair drivers that will pick you up in the lobby and take you to your appointments.

We needed a clean, comfortable, safe, close place to stay while my husband had heart surgery at UAB. You literally walked out of a door of the hospital & you were at hotel. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was very clean & comfortable. Highly recommend The Courtyard if you have someone in the hospital at UAB & need a great place to stay,

The rooms were very clean and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the lobby smelled like fresh magnolias. The bathroom was very clean as well and there is a laundry room on the 2nd floor next to the gym. It's very convenient if you have to be at the hospital for something early in the morning.

I am thrilled to shine a spotlight on this hotel! This place has been a lifesaver for me. My son has medical needs at UAB Hospital and the location is super convenient and perfect for us. Upon entering the hotel, the ambiance in the lobby is warm and inviting with its cleanliness and colorful design. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the outstanding manager Ms. Nina, Shantel, and the entire front desk staff who go above and beyond in taking good care of me. Customer service is on point! I always feel welcome and valued as a guest. In these uncertain times we live in, the hospitality is quite remarkable and it's a place that gives me peace of mind when it's time to book a room during the medical visits. Plus -it's a short walk to various restaurants like the bistro which I enjoy dining at before walking to the hospital. Super convenient indeed and I always get a comfortable night of sleep here. I'm also looking forward to the end results of some current renovations. I highly recommend this hotel!

My daughter and I were in town for a volleyball tourney at the Finley Center. It was an easy 15 minutes drive there. Very clean and well maintained property. It was isolated, but close to anything you need at the same time. Comfortable rooms with good ac/heat. Breakfast was good and the breakfast area was always clean. Clean room and comfortable bed. Great price.

Birmingham was a stopover night so we didn't plan or expect to do anything here, however we were pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel to find it clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff were polite and happy to help and the front of desk and reception area were clean. Due to its location on Summit pkwy it was a refreshingly quiet hotel, except for the fact that we were placed on the top floor which did suffer quite badly from noise coming from what I can only guess was the AC units in the hallway. This vibrating noise was still loud in the room and even vibrated the room door handle. Other than the noise, the room was nice and spacious, well appointed, comfortable and clean, the large TV was a bonus. Overall we enjoyed our evening at the hotel, one of the nicest of a recent bad bunch - just need to get the noise issue sorted.

My two-night stay at the Comfort Inn-Homewood was pleasant from beginning to end. I checked in just before a large inter-generational crowd and expected to hear a lot of noise during the night, but my 4th floor room was totally quiet both nights. The bed and sitting chairs were very comfortable, and the tub shower had plenty of hot water after about a minute's wait for it to warm up. The vending machines in the lobby and on each floor are well stocked and actually work (cash only). The breakfast buffet is well-rounded (includes eggs and sausage), but butter was not available for waffles or toast the days I was there - a disturbing omission. Hotel staff were helpful and courteous. This is a well-maintained hotel with daily room service, one of the cleanest I've stayed at. It's a good value for the money, conveniently located, and fully lives up to its name.

It was a good stay. I was on business, If your on business, best to upgrade the Wi-fi. Had a one bedroom, quite spacious. Full sized fridge and dishwasher. Coffee maker was clean. Microwave was clean too. Bed was medium firm, felt a little droopy in the middle. Free breakfast was hit or miss, but had a nice variety. Rooms were quiet, despite construction going on at 8:00am on a Sunday morning. It's stopped by lunch. Great AC. Felt secure, pet friendly and did not smell like pets. Bright clean linens. Good sized T.V.'s. No bugs, dead or alive. Quiet hours at night with security guard doing rounds. No barking during the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was well kept, no smoking hotel. Nothing to complain about. Will stay again, perhaps not on the ground floor and if possible away from construction, but I was able to relax and get my work done. Good restaurants in all directions of this hotel.

Found this hotel to be very roomy and clean! Breakfast was hot and offered a variety of options and the kitchen attendant was very helpful everyday. The room came with a kitchenette which was very clean. Also, the AC is an individual central unit which was really nice. I had left a higher priced hotel because of the lack of humidity control in the room. When I realized I needed to stay a few days longer, they even let me keep my room and not have to check out and check in though I went through an online 3rd party booking app. The front desk hotel attendant even remembered my name. Overall, there was just a really nice and personal atmosphere here (I didn't feel like a number). The hotel is located in a convenient place (near stores/Walmart/restaurants, close by, I-65) and a safe well patrolled location. Visiting family member receiving critical care at UAB hospital.

Candy at the front desk was very polite, friendly and professional. The room was clean and trust me, I inspect everything in a room to make sure it is clean. The bed was comfortable. I was impressed with the breakfast selections which included Individually wrapped breakfast sandwiches which was convenient for me since I needed to take my breakfast with me. I would definitely stay here again.

A quick overnight on cross country road trip. The hotel was a convenient off and on the interstate. Room was clean, bed and pillows comfy. Very large room with ample bathroom space. We did not use the kitchenette, but looked well appointed. Grab and go breakfast was better than most.....hot breakfast sandwiches wrapped to go, juice and the coffee was good. Will keep this on our radar for a future stay.

We had a quick but pleasant stay at Hyatt Place Birmingham/Hoover. The hotel is not as new as the photos suggest, but it was still clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a nice selection, and the location was convenient for our needs. Overall, a good value for the price. We’d stay again!

Check in was so quick and easy. The attendant was super friendly. Location was perfect…close to restaurants, shopping and gas station. The only complaint was my room door was completely closed when I first went up to the room. I pushed the door in and it was open without even using the key and the shower was a little dirty. There was hair from a previous stay. Also, the shower tiles at the very bottom were very dirty. Besides that the king wrong was really spacious. It included a small kitchenette with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and other kitchen appliances. They also provided utensils, glasses, and coffee mugs.

Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. It included a kitchen and a recliner. The only cleanliness issue was the track of the shower door was full of pink and black mold, which was much more noticeable when you are inside the shower. Only other complaint was the staff. At check in, there was a sign that said I’ll be right back. I waited 5 min before anyone showed up, and she walked up and didn’t smile or greet me. Just said “name”. Then muttered something about it being a stressful night. She was not courteous or friendly at all. When my bill was much more than I had booked for and I questioned it, she rudely said, “that’s with the deposit!”. Other than that, the hotel was nice and a convenient stop on our way to North Carolina.

I stayed at a different hotel different that usual when I traveled to AL recently. It is an older hotel but nicely maintained. Clean linens, clean bathroom, friendly staff. I like that room includes kitchenette area. I wasn't expecting the $75.00 refundable deposit required at check in (perhaps this was required because I booked through a hotel booking site & not directly with hotel). I disliked my room being located right outside the elevators. I could've requested a different room but opted not to. Also the hotel clerk informed me there was no complimentary breakfast served. I liked them having a "store" to purchase food & drink items. Hotel is centrally located to shopping places, restaurants, & other entertainment. Overall good stay, would likely recommend to others & stay again.

I travelled a lot this past year and the Candlewood Suites Inverness is one of the nicest motels I've stayed in. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms are quiet and very clean. The kitchenette was very nice to have also. I travel with my dog so it made it much easier to prepare his meals. And it was stocked with dishes, a hot plate and utensils which most kitchenettes don't have. I also felt safe walking him at night around the property. I will stay again next time I'm in the area.

This Holiday Inn Express was able to check us in at 11am when we arrived instead of the usual 3pm. This is a fairly new hotel . . . modern, spotless, well-lit lobby and initially everything seemed to work as it should. Then lots of little things went awry (locked out of our room during our 5-nite stay, flickering lamp, not all breakfast food available, mini-frig froze our food, towels not available, trash not emptied), though everything except breakfast was corrected when the front desk was notified. Receptionist Jennifer was particularly helpful . . . a model of professionalism, smarts and courtesy. Our main disappointment was the poor lighting in the room which seems to be the way at most hotels. Still, the location is great . . . just off I-65, 15 minutes from downtown and the staff helpful. And the brightly lit breakfast area became a perfect spot for late afternoon Scrabble games. We would stay here again.

We were visiting Birmingham, AL as a getaway from our busy retirement life to attend a major book signing event and to just relax for a few days. We chose Holiday Inn Express because we had stayed with them before in TN and IL. We were very happy with how new and clean everything was. I used the exercise room twice and all the machines were easy to use and well maintained. I am a coffee drinker all day long and love the availability of fresh coffee 24-7. We also opted out of maid service during our stay since we were only there 4 nights. Breakfast was always a little different every day with lots of choices. I noticed from the last time we stayed in a HIE, that they stocked a lower calorie yogurt cup and I really liked that since I am very calorie conscious. Overall, we had a perfect stay for us. We left relaxed and ready to travel back home. As a retired couple that doesn’t travel a lot, we have now put Birmingham, AL on our “quick trip away” list for the future and we will come back to Holiday Inn Express when we visit.

This hotel was so clean and friendly! There were always people cleaning something…the hallways, the elevators, rooms…. The common area was clean and coffee was often available. The staff at the desk was very accommodating and they went out of their way to ask how our trip was going. The free breakfast is fair but there are plenty of easy food options nearby. But it’s clean and quiet (despite multiple sports teams in the building), and you can tell they care about customer service. Thanks for caring for us (and our athletic team family) for 4 days. We enjoyed our stay.

One of the nicest HE express I’ve stayed at. Super clean , optimal location to highway and retail & food . Walking distance to 2 gas stations and Dunkin Donuts . Super quiet location, rooms are in great shape . AC unit runs smooth not at all noisy . Hotel bed was very comfortable, safe location . Shower was clean and well maintained. Staff here really go above and beyond maintaining a great hotel environment and high quality guest experience. Highly recommend staying here for any type of travel . Everything was so clean and new looking! A nice restaurant ($), where we enjoyed a good breakfast before heading on our road trip south. The rooms were very updated and clean and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here. Love the new coffee machines Holiday Inn's have added in the lobby that grinds your beans fresh for each cup.

As soon as we walked thru the front door, Mr. Copeland greeted and welcomed us to the Hilton. Check-in went quickly and it was nice he explained the hotel amenities, parking, hotel restaurant, breakfast options, and offered us suggestions on restaurants and sites around the city worth visiting. The Hilton Garden Inn itself is conveniently located to several restaurants, parking is secure and located in a large area in the front of the hotel and visible from your room, next door to the Red Mountain Theater and children’s hospital. The hotel is extremely clean, maid service was prompt, and the on-site restaurant and bar was a nice option. We enjoyed a meal before the theater and drinks following - bartender was very friendly, food was tasty, and the service was quick. As a Hilton Honors member and frequent traveler, staying in hotels is always special when the reception and the staff are professional and attentive to your needs - as was the case with Mr. Copeland. Couple the exceptional customer service with a clean hotel and your trip is so much more pleasant. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn - Downtown Birmingham!

Pretty happy with our 4-night stay. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly, from the people at the front desk to the housekeeping staff to our server at the restaurant. We actually ended up having dinner 3 times at the restaurant, since it was so convenient and had options my kids would actually eat. We had breakfast one morning as well and it was not complimentary but prices were reasonable. Room was fairly comfortable, although a few more touches would have made it better (like hooks to hang towels in the bathroom!). Housekeeping, while friendly, needs to pay a little more attention to detail--one day they took all our used towels and did not leave any clean ones--I had to go down to the front desk and even then I didn't get all the towels I needed (too many washcloths and no hand towels). But it wasn't a huge deal. Location is great--one block from Railroad Park, which we walked to every day, and easy walking distance to the Civil Rights Institute, McWane Science Center, restaurants etc. downtown. Neighborhood felt safe. Would stay here again!

My 4 rating takes into account the pleasant front desk staff, its downtown location, the high-ceilinged spacious and colorfully decorated lobby and their having accommodated my request for a room in the top floor. If not for the foregoing considerations, I would have rated this HGI lower given that, their rate is almost $100 more than those located along the interstates. They charge $15 for parking because they are located in downtown Birmingham. If you’re spending time to explore Birmingham, this is a fine choice. If you’re just driving through, there are clean, comfortable Inns $100 less with very good complimentary breakfast. What is outrageous is their costly breakfast: Hot buffet breakfast is $20/person. Cold buffet is $10. Their a la carte menu isn’t reasonable either. Our room # 520 was clean. Everything was satisfactory and the bed that sags on both sides didn’t cause discomfort yet.

Finally. I can share review of a great hotel stay at the Hilton. The desk manager Tiffina courteously and professional checked us in. Every employee, at least 5, we met greeted us like family. The hot breakfast was indeed a hot breakfast with plenty of choices. Room was clean, spacious. Lobby and property looked new, well decorated and modern. Only negative? Elevator certification was out of date. We will be happy to stay at this property going forward as our young, aspiring student/doctor attends UAB in the near future.

This location is beautiful. I booked through hotels.com. It said breakfast was included but it was not. $10 for a cold breakfast or $20 for the hot breakfast. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. We were downtown for a Dr appt and were able to walk everywhere. We actually walked a couple blocks to Publix and there are many food choices close by. Overall an excellent stay. Checkout at noon. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I was in Hoover on Saturday for a show at the Stardome Comedy Club. We decided to stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Riverchase Galleria location, since it was close to our venue. At check-in I was greeted with a pleasant smile, by Breann. Breann was very professional, attentive and engaging. My husband & I had a suite, which exceeded our expectations. It was very cozy and clean. The breakfast was very good and had a variety of choices. If we are ever back in Hoover, this is where we will stay again. I highly recommend, if you are in the Hoover area and need a clean and comfortable hotel, this is the place to stay. Thanks again, to Breann for being so nice and helpful at check-in.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out everything was well above our expectations! We were welcomed with a scent of cleanliness as soon as we walked in. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing! Clean, spacious, comfortable bedding, plenty of clean towels! We were so thankful to find a place to stay that also welcomed our dogs! There was a wide variety of food to choose from at breakfast! We were so impressed with everything and enjoyed our stay!!

We were greeted with a smile upon check in to this clean and nicely maintained hotel. Location was easy access to freeways. Room size was large with a kitchen and full size fridge included. The free breakfast included lots of choices. We enjoyed the clean and maintained salt water pool. Staff and maintenance was helpful and friendly with the problem we had with the bathroom sink. We will definitely be returning to this hotel when we visit the area again.

We are a family of 5 and booked a room through Expedia for a sports tournament. Expedia listed a king suite for 5 (we thought they would bring in a cot) but when we got to the hotel, they could not accommodate because they do not have cots. Even though it was an error on Expedia’s part, the hotel staff went above and beyond to work out a solution for our family for the same price. They were patient and kind. Specifically Teresa helped us when we first got there. Eventually Tanika, Amanda and Lillian stepped in to help as well. The manager, Lillian Brooks, provided a level of customer service that you rarely see these days. She stayed late to make sure we were taken care of and even followed up by phone a couple days after our stay to make sure I understood the room charges. As far as the facilities go, there was roof construction going on so unfortunately we were not able to enjoy to outdoor facilities but they would have been really neat: outdoor pool, basketball court and putting green also with a sitting area. Would have been great for our family! The rooms were clean and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast was much better than your average hotel breakfast! The first day we had delicious breakfast tacos with delicious toppings! I highly recommend staying here - not only for the accommodations but also for the staff that clearly cares for their customers!

I only stayed one night at the Sheraton Birmingham, and overall it was a comfortable experience. Something I found interesting was that the room had two mini fridges both worked, but honestly, I would have preferred just one fridge and a microwave instead. The only microwaves available are on the first floor of the tower, which meant having to leave the room and take the elevator just to warm up a meal. The view from my room looked out onto the courtyard in front of the BJCC, and I also had a partial view of Protective Stadium, which was a nice bonus. The area of the hotel I stayed in definitely feels dated. The wallpaper and furnishings are showing their age, and one of the mattresses was squeaky and you could feel the springs. It wasn’t the most comfortable sleep, but manageable for one night. I imagine once this section of the hotel is refreshed, it’ll make a big difference. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. A small request I had at check-in was taken care of quickly, and that kind of service always stands out. If you’re attending an event at the BJCC or passing through town, this hotel is in a convenient location and gets the basics right. Once the rooms are updated on the side I stayed. This property will be just perfect.

I was a bit concerned due to some bad reviews, but were only staying one night for a concert at BJCC. Location was A+ & I was pleased to see the area had lots of new & renovated properties. Lobby & valet were crowded with lots of arrivals at check in time, but staff was efficient & all were very friendly. We were on atrium side, was very quiet. Hotel is older, but clean & in good condition. Room was spacious, beds were very comfortable. Only thing lacking was an in-room safe. Again, location is great - across street with covered walkway to BJCC, 5 min walk to Protective Stadium and “Uptown” featuring Texas de Brazil, Cantina, Southern Kitchen & Bar, Mugshots restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great stay at the Sheraton. After a very bad stay at the Westin a few years ago I was a little worried, but it was for nothing. The hotel is so nice, the staff is top notch. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The girl that was working valet on 6/24 around 2pm was so helpful helping us find a place to eat and just so friendly. I wish I had gotten her name. There were 2 gentleman standing outside as well that were so welcoming and friendly. The clerk at the front desk (Latorria maybe) was phenomenal. She was so kind, professional and informative. Our soon had been switched from a king to 2 doubles. I wasn’t going to mention it thinking it would probably be a lot of trouble to switch. She noticed it and switched it back for us. The room was nice and clean. We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks for such a great stay.

Yolanda was absolutely wonderful. Lovely way to start my vacation with a friendly smile and a laugh. She went above and beyond to help me and my boyfriend out when an emergency happened with him. The bartender July 28th night was also very friendly, unfortunately I do not remember his name but he was very informative as well. The 15th floor hallway is crazy hot, making the rooms hard to cool down. It didn't get below 69. At least the one elevator that works is the one where you can see outside, that is really cool and a unique feature from other hotels. I chose to stay here because of the price, but mostly because it seemed to be the only hotel around that wasn't crazy expensive that had dinner and a bar open later. I didn't expect to be greeted with such friendly faces. Overnight crew is a bit different... but the morning girls at the front desk are very friendly as well.

This 5 Star hotel went to Zero stars and back to 5 Stars thanks to the nice lady at the Registration Center. NO HOT WATER! The hotel was full because of the Birmingham Bowl and the hot water supply was overloaded. She gave us 2 free vouchers for the breakfast buffet. So the shower was cold, but the breakfast was delicious! Life happens, we will be back.

This hotel is one of the best we have visited since the pandemic. The beautiful historic and modern decor. Nice location. The rooms are small but very comfortable and accommodating. Great bed and shower. Views. The coffee bar. Great! The restaurants offer a great menu of delicious food. Service is still lacking due to being short staffed. Over all wonderful!

The front desk staff was very welcoming. The lady at the front desk recommended the Hotel’s restaurant for dinner. We checked out other options and decided to go back to the hotel restaurant. So glad we did! The food and cocktails were outstanding. Highly suggest the Gumbo, burger and fried okra! Don’t bother saving room for dessert, plan to take it back to the room. It’s worth a midnight snack!

Our first time in Birmingham and so happy with the Elyton hotel. This is one of the prettiest hotels we've stayed at. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are modern and not the usual boring aesthetics. The rooftop bar was perfect spot after a show. The bartenders were great! The area is very walkable with restaurants nearby. We will stay here again if in town.

I have stopped here the last two years enroute to Florida for the Winter, spending only the night and was extremely pleased with my sleep overs. Check in is easy and quick, the property is clean and well maintained and the room was beyond expectations. I only wish I could stay longer. The room had a sofa and a desk as well as all the normal acutrements. The bed & pillows were comfortable and the shower had very good pressure. Towels were large and thick also. It is located in the woods atop a hill over the Interstate but very quiet. Many Many security cameras behind the front desk and good flood light coverage (I pull a small travel trailer so I had no worries about their security). It is up tje hill from a Cracker Barrel and there are many other restaurants across the freeway. Breakfast included waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and biscuits and gravy and the attendant kept the area stocked and clean. See you next year. The entrance is difficult to see in the dark but Management assures that is being addressed.

The best thing about this motel is the location. Only less than a mile off I-65 but it is located in a quiet, lovely wooded area. Pool looked beautiful but we did not go swimming. The room was clean and quiet, the mattress was firm but not too firm. The water pressure in the shower was just right. We had breakfast in the morning: biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, link sausage, waffles, bagels, toast, cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt were all available. Clean and quiet. I would return

We stayed one night as we travel back to Texas. I always check reviews before we stay somewhere. The reviews for this hotel were pretty good so we decided to give it a try and I’m glad we did! Check in was smooth and the front desk was friendly, the room was clean, the ice machine worked great, nice hot water in the shower, the beds were very comfortable, room stayed cool, and the breakfast was great! Highly recommend staying here if you are traveling. We will stay again when we come back this way. Thank you to the staff for all that you do to make our stay comfortable.

The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. Our king bedroom was smaller that most Best Western hotels, and not as pictured on website. It was fine for a one night stop on the way to Florida. Breakfast was a typical Best Western breakfast. The hotel is situated on top of a hill which is away from the highway. The setting was secluded, quiet, and nicely landscaped. The area felt safe. The hotel is located about 1/2 mile from restaurants and stores. I would stay her again.

We were near the elevator and worried about the noise but it was quiet. Shower was good pressure. Breakfast was good, many options and a few nice touches, like Nutella and blueberries for yogurt. Quiet setting away from road, a little hard to find. But if you use your GPS, no problem.

Friendly professional staff. Easy off highway. Clean quiet and comfortable studio. Darkening blinds were wonderful. Bedding comfortable. Hot water in the shower and plenty of towels!

Many options which included waffles that you could make on your own. There was not a meat option as a stand-alone option, but there were a couple of breakfast sandwiches which had meet. This is a great location that is near to restaurants and coffee shops. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and quite. The beds and linens were soft and comfortable. The only issue I had was the noise of the shower being turned on- it vibrated very loudly when you turned it to hot water. Still I would stay anytime.

I initially spoke with Ms. Nicole the manager at this hotel, when completing my reservation about the pet friendly policy. She was extremely gracious, and very generous in her support and time. I was excited to read other reviews that spoke about how clean this hotel was, and that they had just completed a brand new renovation with a ribbon cutting ceremony. My husband and I and my two little doggies arrived very late at this beautiful Holiday Inn on July 4th, after being lost enroute. Staff members Diamond and Kennedy were very gracious and helpful when checking us in. It was so comforting to arrive at this spotlessly clean hotel. It is situated at the top of a hill, on 811 Old Grants Mill Rd., and is very quiet, well worth the drive in. We were given a treat bag for IHG members, with water and snacks. Our room was spotlessly clean, prepared by staff member Jasmine. Breakfast was excellent with again, a spotlessly clean area served by Bre. The carpets have a lovely clean smell. We highly recommend this pet friendly hotel. If Ms. Nicole is not in, please speak with Ms. Lisa another front desk reception manager. She is also extremely courteous.

The prices at this location was the primary reason for this reservation. The prices were significantly better for a short drive to UAB Hospital. Check in was easy and speedy. The room was immaculately clean! I mean it was literally white glove clean which completely blew me away. Housekeeping is doing an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. The gentleman who took care of the breakfast area was a great guy!! He really loved his job and ensured everyone was taken care of. His character is a rarity and I hope he is getting his kudos for a job well done. We had a check out issue and was charged for the room but the manager did a great job of correcting the issue. He was pleasant and professional! I will definitely stay at the location any chance I get.

The front desk staff was phenomenal!!! Ms. Boo’s (Tay) was a breath of fresh air and positively made my check in seamless!!! Great ladies at the front desk and the cleaning staff as well throughout the facility!!! Great, safe, clean and exceptionally run hotel! The breakfast was hot, tasty and awesome! The are was very clean and the menu contained a wide variety of meal options.

Wonderful stay. Check in was easy. King size bed. Hot water in shower. Clean room. Microwave. Fridge. Coffee maker. Small desk for working. Check out was easy. Did not try the breakfast. Elevator was quick and clean inside. Driveway leading up to hotel is steep. Careful during snowy/icy weather conditions.

We are traveling back home and stopped here for the night. It was worth every penny. Diamond was so friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic! Will stay here again as it’s halfway between our usual Florida destination!

The hotel is very convenient to both UAB and St. Vincent’s hospitals. Despite being close to hospitals, it was quiet, rarely hearing ambulances and other traffic. Traffic in the area was light, making it easy to drive around. There is a restaurant across the street and other restaurants close by. The room was ideal for a prolonged stay, with a decently equipped kitchenette and plenty of room in the bedroom and living room for 2people. The hotel has a small market with a few frozen dinners, drinks and snacks. There is a Publix nearby. We had forgotten to turn on the ice maker, but there was an ice machine, so we had all we needed. There are also coin-operated washers and dryers for those who need them. The best thing about the hotel, however, is the staff. The young gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and patient. Even though I had forgotten my hearing aids and he had to repeat several things multiple times, he was unfailingly polite and patient, and he efficiently took care of a mistake I’d made on our booking. The lady who handles the breakfast went out of her way to find some yogurt for me and was quite helpful and very kind. The lady at the desk when we checked out was also very pleasant. Even the young man bringing up the laundry from the basement wished my husband, who’d just had surgery, a speedy recovery.

Our stay was amazing! The beds were absolutely an experience unlike anything I've had in a long time. I usually toss and turn during the night, but as soon as I hit the bed, I felt completely at ease—like a little caterpillar in a cocoon. It was so comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the continental breakfast was a perfect start to our day. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable!

Over the stay was great. First time but won’t be our last. My only issue was the smell from the garbage disposal in the rooms kitchen area. Other than that it was very clean, very well maintained and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Especially ms. keke. Also I give a bonus compliment for having a full coffee bar with hazelnut creamer and not just half&half. Thanks again for the stay!

The heated unit that holds the egg omelets and breakfast sandwiches dries them out terribly. The eggs are rubbery and the breakfast sandwiches are hard as bricks and impossible to eat. Because the breakfast buffet is an important feature to us we’ll look for somewhere else to stay next time. Also you do not get housekeeping unless you request. I think it should be opposite in that housekeeping is standard and you request to opt out if that is what you prefer. Honestly I would have liked to have my bed made and towels replenished without having to ask. After all, that’s one of the nice perks of staying at a hotel and covid really can’t be used as an excuse anymore! Overall this is a nice hotel that with a few tweaks would be a great place to stay.

We were visiting family at UAB hospital and found this hotel last minute. We arrived late, after 10pm, and the front desk was super courteous and kind. Our room was clean without even any stray stuff in the corners of the bathroom, as can often be found. The beds were comfy and room amenities perfect. The breakfast in the morning was top notch. It was maybe 15-20 minutes to the hospital depending on traffic, and we felt very safe in the area. It's a beautiful area around the hotel. There was ample parking, even on a weekend night, with easy access to the hotel. My only negatives: Our neighbors were loud and woke me up the 2nd night, which was more about the neighbors and less about the hotel, since for the most part the hotel was quiet and pretty well sound-proofed as hotels go. Most of the staff was incredible, but there were one or two staff members we came across that clearly did not want to be there or do their job. They weren't outright 'rude', just obviously were trying to avoid being asked anything or bothered. I was going to sit by the pool, which looked nice, but wasn't able to access it for some reason. My key card worked everywhere else but the pool. There are two washers and dryers on site for personal use. It cost a bit more than I was expecting, and of course to buy laundry detergent or anything in the convenience area was excessively priced. All in all, we would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

Our stay was nice! The hotel and property are clean. The check-in attendant wasn't super friendly but that's fine. Location was perfect and we felt safe. The room was very clean-even cleaned the tub for my kid's bath and had no additional dirt on my cloth. There were not enough towels in my room although I added all guests at check-in. The guide for the tv did not match the channels but we figured it out. The only major negative was breakfast. The attendant seemed very overwhelmed but also was on his phone when there were clear needs in the breakfast room. The pancake machine was consistently empty, the trash was overflowing. The eggs were burnt and stuck to the pan and from Friday-Sunday there was the same sticky spot on a table-which means no one cleaned the tables.

We spent the night here on our way back to Kingsport, TN. Off of a major artery, it is convenient to get to, and there are plenty of chain restaurants nearby. We opted to have dinner in the Lakeview District of Birmingham (Slice Stoned Pizza). The furnishings in the room are quite up to date…can’t tell if this is new or renovated construction. Nonetheless, Keurig coffee machine, microwave, and a small fridge. Employee was serving a limited menu from the buffet area, in addition to take-away individually wrapped breakfast items. All-in-all, a perfectly acceptable stay. Recommended.

One of the nicer hotels I have stayed in quite a while! The king room we reserved had an amazing shower and a huge comfortable bed. Our accommodations had all Dove products in the room and that was definitely a plus! The breakfast was ample and this property had a very reasonable deposit requirement as well. I would absolutely stay again if in the area. Very close to the convention center and nestled nicely between some businesses and a quiet residential area.

We have stayed here before on our way to Florida. Always clean, always comfortable beds, always quiet, a delicious breakfast, and an immaculate, dining room. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

We were on a road trip around the Deep South. Needed to stop one night in Birmingham, AL. Chose this hotel because of location and the fact it was walking distance to a restaurant. What a great choice we made! The hotel was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant across the street was fab too!

I loved the balcony and the room was so comfortable the shower was great and the location is perfect! Right in the middle of all the shopping but off to the side so it's quiet and peaceful.

It was ok for the price. Seemed like they may be in the middle of a renovation. All of the elevators were down, which was super inconvenient, especially getting out luggage up to the 3rd floor. Also, it seemed like there was a restaurant and read as if their were deli sandwiches in their "market." The restaurant was only open for breakfast. The "market" had a very small selection, much smaller than most and there were no sandwiches, only snack foods. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It is an older property. Clean and staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Could not have been nicer. This is a good property, just needs renovating and I think that they may be doing that. Great location, I felt safe (traveling alone female). Near all the restaurants and convenient to Highways. There were noise issues (kids from a soccer tournament) that were addressed by front desk and taken care of. I would stay there again. Again - the staff went over and beyond!

Staff was very accommodating and the hotel was clean with an amazing location near ALOT of restaurants and a couple exits from the Hoover Finley Center. Typical slow elevators and it seemed a little humid in hallways, but able to manage the temperature in our room fine. It seemed odd the pool was right out front without a lot of privacy. But across the street was a beautiful waterfall and we actually brought our chairs and cooler over there for some quiet time.

Breakfast was delicious and staff was very attentive! The hotel was very clean and staff was very courteous! It was one of the nicer Hampton Inn.

The lobby and our room look and smell clean. Very nice property and staff. We had a comfortable stay. Breakfast is continental, so not a lot of choices as expected. There’s a shopping center nearby, and a lot of good places to eat at. Order from Pho Pho Asian, amazing food! Overall, great property. I will highly recommend.

I travel extensively for work, but am currently off due to a bicep reattachment surgery (0 of 10 stars. Wouldn't recommend). While recovering and doing physical therapy, we decided to take a trip from Michigan to Florida, because, well.. Michigan is cold still. After a quick stop in louisville, we came down to Birmingham. Our first time really stopping in Alabama, and man, have we missed out. The friendly personalities at the front desk welcomed us with their regional accent, and really made us feel at home. We got into our room, and it smelled FRESH. The linens were pressed, the towels felt as if they were warmed outside in the Southern sunshine. The room was well appointed with everything we needed, and the bed is as comfortable as most higher end hotels. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool, as we had been up and traveling most of the day, and just wanted to unwind. The water pressure and temperature were perfect for that muscle soaking shower to end the day. It is a bit tricky to get into the parking lot if your GPS wants to be glitchy, but this property is absolutely a Sweet Home in Alabama.. (I had to) We look forward to the chance to stop back by on our way back north, when we are drained from our jaunt.

This was my fourth stay with Homewood Suites near UAB. And like all the other times, it was amazing! When I walked in to check in, the young lady actually recognized me from my last visit and reminded me of my Hilton Honors, which I had forgotten about, and gave me a complimentary bag with 2 bottled waters and treats! Very welcoming! The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal! So many items of variety to choose from! The young lady over the breakfast area came by my table to make sure everything was OK. We spoke about my trip. Very friendly and kind to me and other guests. They even have a manager's reception during the evenings (unfortunately I wasn't able to attend) When I checked out, Tracy greeted me with smile and asked if everything was to my liking, which I responded Yes! I always enjoy my stay with Homewood! Which is true, the rooms and views are spectacular! Mine was a king size bed with a sofa that let's out to a good size bed. Spacious bathroom area, and a kitchenette fully equipped with a counter top stove, microwave, good size refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, dishes, pots and pans even a garbage disposal. Homewood near UAB is definitely my go to place, my home away from. I highly recommend Homewood to anyone for their stay while in town. The staff team are A+

This was one of, if not the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The staff were the most welcoming, friendly people we could have asked for. Tracey, Reginald, Ramona and Kaitlyn made us feel so welcome and so at home. They were all so sincerely interested in making sure we had a pleasant stay and we were genuinely sorry to have to say goodbye to them. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this was the first time I've received a phone call ahead of my stay to offer assistance and let me know how excited they are to welcome me. Reginald did just that, and my wife and I were blown away by the support and enthusiasm. The staff all paid so much attention to our dog and our one-year-old and made them feel very loved and safe. The staff social was great too, we got to hand out with them, see an incredible song and dance performance from Tracey, and were treated to complimentary food and drinks. It was a wonderful evening and one we won't forget. The location itself was fantastic, in a lovely neighbourhood with great cafes and restaurants. The hotel was spotless and our room there was our favourite of all the ones we stayed in in our 8-state road trip. It was huge, pristinely clean, and extremely comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough and want to extend my thanks once again to the staff for making it such a wonderful experience for our family.

Front desk great and very helpful. Our room had a noisey air handler at check in and we changed rooms with no problem. We noticed from other reviews that this can be a problem. The onsite resturant was more than adequate for travellers. Everyone on the staff was helpful and had a positive attitude. Ask about the breakfast included package, the buffet only breakfast costs $18 per person. and is not much better than a Hampton Inn breakfast, except for the excellent service.

I had a work trip and have never been to Alabama...I picked this DoubleTree based on being a loyal Hilton member and reviews. That being said, this has been one of my favorite stays. Rooms are clean, pool is a bonus, gym is nice, bed is comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and your drinks will not disappoint (thanks to my new favorite bartender, Kim). I travel quite a bit for work, but I feel the friendliness and quality is held to a very high standard and I understand why they are always booked and sadly, I couldn't get an upgraded room. I met so many other professionals working for the company I was traveling to and they all told me it's the only place they stay when they travel to HQ. That being said, stay and you won't be disappointed...they care about the customer experience and take feedback seriously.

The breakfast was delicious, hot and the servers were friendly. The hotel location was close to the things we went to do, with an exceptional restaurant in the immediate vicinity.

Convenient south side location. Fresh and light large screen and ample workspace for business travel. Repeat stayer that indicates satisfaction with the property and friendly staff. Restaurant is limited; but, quite tasty on the nights one does not feel like getting out. And several nearby options if you do.

Room was spacious, clean and well laid out with a Microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Comfortable bed and bedding. The heater/AC unit was very efficient and quiet. Loved having more than the standard TV stations so we could enjoy a movie in the evening. Excellent Wi-Fi. Breakfast was way beyond what I expected with waffle and pancake maker, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, yogurt as well as the standard cereal, juice, coffee and bagels.

We chose this property the day of for an overnight stay on our trip, the friendly pet fee was the deciding factor as so many hotels that say they are pet friendly many times charge such high fees it makes them very unfriendly! $25 pet charge is the cheapest we have found, most are charging $75-$100 The property is older but well maintained. The shower stall was the tale tell for the age. That being said, the first floor room was very large and the bed & pillows were wonderful (this is a huge thing for me lol) The only complaint I had was that the “pet friendly” was also very hairy, literally. The chair was covered in long blond pet hair and the floor was enough so that everything that touched it came up with quite a bit. The bed and bathroom were clean so it really just seemed like they didn’t try in the dusting and vacuuming which is a shame. Nobody wants that. Overall it was a decent property and honestly, even though it was not perfect we were comfortable and slept well.

The pool was the PERFECT temperature, the facilities are beautiful and very clean, the location is super convenient right off the freeway, and the breakfast was fabulous! They had waffles, hard boiled eggs, sausage, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, and juice / coffee / hot chocolate / tea. There is also LOTS of parking that is free to guests. They also had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the rooms! And the bed is super comfortable.

This is not a 5 Star Resort but it is the perfect place to lay your head down when traveling with your fur babies. The bed was comfy with crisp white sheets and comforter. The lot was well lit for walking your dog and the morning coffee was quite good! This is not fancy but it's clean and safe and just what we needed for our road trip! The staff were friendly also.

What a nice stay! Everywhere you went it smelled fresh and clean! They have a very full and delicious breakfast in a spacious, beautiful area. You can fix your food and eat without walking/sitting on top of people! The bed was extremely comfortable. We will definitely stay there again!

Beds were clean and comfy. The coffee provided in the room was even good. I was pleased to find complimentary water bottles too. The room had more to offer than we even took advantage of... dishwasher, mid size fridge, microwave, pull out sofa and ottoman with curtain room divider, mugs, plates, cups, an entire wall of counter space and cabinets... things for an extended stay. Breakfast had more options than you can imagine to suit any tastebud. My kids were thrilled. Front Desk attendees morning and night were so friendly and helpful. The women who put together breakfast were as well, and they did a wonderful job keeping the individual items stocked. They spoke to my children lovingly as a grandparent would. My Father in law needed allergy medicine that we didn't bring, and we were pleased to find it in the lobby store. We had an appointment early and all of us felt refreshed after our stay and breakfast here. Would absolutely stay here again. Overall the price I paid and our experience left me feeling like it was money well spent. Every need of ours was met and maybe even exceeded.

We stayed for two nights for medical care for my youngest child. The room and hotel were clean. The front desk staff were all kind and friendly. The check-in process was smooth and easy. We paid for the on-site parking lot and that was easy to access. My only criticisms are the luggage carts were small and not great for larger families and the onsite restaurant wasn't remarkable. Those are very minor issues. Otherwise, it was a good hotel in a good location. Breakfast each morning was your standard hotel breakfast. We utilized Instacart and pizza delivery for other meals. There were other families with special needs kids and disabled loved ones there too. The staff was wonderful and accommodating and helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back. It felt safe and met our needs.

Stayed here 4 nights for the NCAA Women’s basketball regional tournament. Convenient location for us. We walked back and forth to Legacy Arena each day. Walking distance to Publix and restaurants. Breakfast bar was good, numerous good choices. Room was large and we enjoyed having the big refrigerator, kitchen sink and counter space. Comfortable bed and quiet room. The shower was a little small but was fine for us. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were always kind and helpful.

My stay at Ross Bridge with my niece and toddler grand niece was flawless. From the valet to Mr. Curtis, housekeeping, amazing bar staff and breakfast staff we were treated with utmost hospitality. Carlos provided so much more than professionalism expected at a five star – extra efforts in a sold out situation, kindness, and attention to every detail to ensure we enjoyed our time together as a family. He knew it was important to me to enjoy the indoor pool, especially with my little niece, and followed up after the first evening to make sure we had enjoyed it – which we did, very much. The breakfast buffet and made to order pancakes and waffles were absolutely delicious and the staff delightful. I enjoyed relaxing in the bar with delicious cocktails and on one afternoon we ordered some simple but very tasty small plates. The bartenders were top shelf, along with their service. Our sincere thanks to Carlos and everyone for a special family time to remember. I'll be back in a couple of months.

Checking in is a little odd. There are options to valet or self-park, but since no one came around we self-parked. The woman at the front desk ignored us for a few minutes, never mentioned my partner's Titanium member status, didn't even ask how we were or wish us a good stay. When we were checking out, the same woman was too busy on the phone giving someone her coffee and breakfast order to help us. The room we were received was close to the elevators (specifically asked for a quiet room away from the elevators) and had a lovely view overlooking a dumpster. There was only a half-used body lotion in the bathroom and our coffee supplies only included one creamer. Luckily, things improved. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom had both a tub and shower, there was also a nightlight in the bathroom. JT's Lounge is a delight! The bartenders were very friendly and professional. Try the Strawberry Fields. The outdoor area has two pools - one just for adults, which was very nice. But definitely go to the main pool and go down the slide (I may have gone down about 10 times!). The Clubhouse Restaurant is good for drinks, but give it a skip for dinner. The food and service are poor.

Amazing hotel. It is absolutely beautiful. So quiet the only noise we heard was other guests slamming doors. We had a few hiccups but the manager was absolutely amazing and responded quickly and made up for the issues we had. Let’s talk about BROCK . OMG the food was absolutely amazing the cooks are amazing they know what they are doing and the love they put into their food is amazing. Have the buffet breakfast it leaves you extremely full content and wanting more. The waitresses were awesome so friendly and attentive. 5 stars ⭐️ all around

My stay at the hotel was excellent from the valet service Dominque when we first arrived then when entered the facility to the Front desk Carlos and the rest of the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful my room was amazing very comfortable and clean then the next day breakfast at Brock’s was great every staff member was very friendly the food was great then upon checking out a Bellman name Mod was great and the Valet guy Quan was very quick with getting my car and very polite this staff and facility deserve perfect ratings

The French toast was to die for; the omelets (which were made to order) were perfect every time; the bacon was cooked just the way we liked it..(not too hard but not chewy); the grilled shrimp were marinated with just the right amount of seasoning; the fresh fruit was tantalizing to the pallet; and the variety of syrups led to a taste testing adventure! But we would be remiss not to mention the wonderful staff! We received nothing but the warmest welcome from the time we walked in the doors until the time our adventure ended! From the warm helpful faces at the "check In" desk to the dynamic staff of the BROCKS'S Restaurant! They were unified in making us to feel so special! Our Honorable mentions are the very personable managers "Tracy and Montez", the attentive and expeditious servers "Carla and Adit" and that fantastic Hostess named "Trina"! Stayed here after a long day of travel. It’s just north of Birmingham off I-65. Original Hampton Inn was destroyed by a tornado in 2021 and the front desk said the new hotel opened last week. Everything is fresh and clean - our room, common areas, breakfast area. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection had a lot to offer. There is a good selection of both sit down and fast food restaurants nearby to choose from. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed 2 nights at this Hampton Inn, Thursday-Sat in Nov. We are diamond members and they upgraded us to a suite. The room was on the 5th floor, was spacious, clean and quiet. Check person was very friendly. The breakfast was probably the best one we have had in a Hampton Inn. They had, waffles, eggs, potatoes, grits, oatmeal, cheese, one day they had biscuits, one day potatoes, fresh fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, sausages. Plenty of parking. I would stay there again.

Stayed one night on way home. Had two rooms and both were clean and new. So was the common areas. Road noise from I-69 was not bad even though right next to the interstate. A lot of good restaurant choices at this exit that are readily available. Typical Hampton breakfast with several choices and the waffle bar was working. Staff was friendly and helpful both at check in and at breakfast. Would stay here again.

We were in town for Furnace Fest at Sloss Furnaces in the city. The location of this hotel was great for that event; it took less than 20 minutes to drive there each day and being outside the main city meant the location was nice and quiet so no disturbances at night. The room itself was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Some signs of aging around the property, but nothing that negatively impacted our stay. The included breakfast was also great. They had a few hot items each morning (including a waffle maker) as well as your standard coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, etc. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay at a reasonable price for the area. Oh, and the staff were very friendly as well.

We really really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful experience with the staff especially Sujon the desk clerk. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and welcomed. The room was beyond our expectations, it had a lot of room, the beds were comfortable, it was very clean, it was quiet, the shower water was hot the way it should be. If you requested extra linen, wash clothes or towels you received it right away. The hotel is located in a quiet area, there are restaurants, gas stations, shopping centers in the area. The breakfast was good but everyone would have liked if there was more of a selection ( like home fries, bacon or even grits). The hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport. I would stay again and I do recommend this hotel.

As always, my favorite hotel to go to and I just love the customer service. They’re very efficient.The rooms are always clean, smells good and are nice and neat. I enjoy my stay here every single time and a breakfast is good too. I love this hotel because I feel safe and it’s a lot of parking. Also, the rooms are nice and quiet and the beds are comfortable. This trip was another trip for me to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Overall, I got to enjoy my self-care day, relaxation and peace and quiet at my favorite hotel. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in town needing a break or traveling. Definitely 10 out of 10.

The lobby, pool area, and our room were very clean and smelled pleasant. Check-in went smoothly and quickly. Tanay was our night clerk and he was fantastic. SO polite and professional. My husband and I had time-sensitive documents that needed to be printed, signed, scanned and returned. He was more than willing to help us complete our business well within our timeline. He gave recommendations for dinner and was spot on. Our room was clean and fresh, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. We will definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed the stay at your facility. We were close to great stores and restaurants. The beds were so comfortable. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was delicious especially the biscuits and sausage gravy. The staff were so nice and very helpful. Thank you for accommodating our family. I had my 93 year grandmother traveling with us who was in a wheelchair. The handicapped room was very comfortable for her.

Tracy F. was absolutely outstanding—attentive, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making sure guests are taken care of. A special thank you goes to Lisa C., the General Manager, who immediately and graciously resolved a serious issue without hesitation. Not only did she address the problem swiftly, but she also went the extra mile by offering additional points as a courtesy for the inconvenience. That kind of leadership and commitment to guest satisfaction is rare and deeply appreciated. The bar and grill on the lower level also delivered excellent service—friendly staff, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. A shoutout to the lovely young lady working at the bar who also happens to work at the on-site Starbucks. She shared some wonderful insight about Morocco with me—her warm smile and positive energy made my day. (P.S. I will definitely be visiting Morocco now!) Housekeeping was equally impressive—the rooms were consistently clean and well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and detail-oriented throughout my stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Thanks to the incredible team at this Hilton location, I felt welcomed, valued, and well cared for. Highly recommended—I will absolutely return!

The employees who assisted me are Keith who greeted me with a smiling face and helpful demeanor upon arrival. I voiced concerns with the amount held from my account and Keith worked to figure out what all of the charges were for (I did mobile check in prior to arrival). He was able to work to get things figured out. Throughout the stay when passing through the lobby area he remembered me and always greeted with a smile and a hello. He gave suggestions for the bar as well. I also was able to talk to Tawanda during the stay as she was leaving one day. When I checked out I was working with Tawanda and she too greeted with a friendly smile and a welcoming yet helpful spirit. Lastly, I did not take the shuttle van but had the pleasure of meeting James while standing in front of the hotel. He greeted every individual that came through the area when he was departing his van. He helped passengers load and unload the van and was very helpful to me by giving recommendations in the area for things to do. All of the employees that I came in contact with were friendly yet professional. There was not one complaint that I can give about any of the employees. Thank you for your professionalism during my stay.

I had a great stay at this hotel! Everything was very clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable and relaxing visit. A special shoutout to Tracy F.- she was absolutely wonderful and so sweet! She went above and beyond to help us check in much earlier than expected, which made a big difference for us. Our terrace room was just renovated, so yes the room looks fresh, clean, nice linens etc. - But our shower was a serious issue. Hotel Management - please read comment about the shower issue - important to have this fixed a.s.a.p.

The other staff members we met made it clear that they wanted us to enjoy our stay. Our room was a standard size for this type of hotel. Beware of the local occupancy tax. We were charged approximately $60 per night on the weekend. The one annoying feature was the alarm clock that is too bright. Some hotels provide only room service upon request, but I do not know if this is the case here. If it is supposed to be daily, they missed one day and left the ironing board in our room the whole weekend. There is a restaurant with a good variety of selections on the ground floor and also a spot to get coffee and small items. The hotel is located on a street loaded with small specialty shops and restaurants. Across the street from the hotel is the Little Professor Bookstore. It has a great kids section and areas to sit and read. The hotel has a valet and self-parking lot.

Very modern, clean, friendly staff, very walkable and trendy neighborhood with boutique shopping and restaurants. Would absolutely stay again. Had dinner at the restaurant on site, very good food and great service. The hotel mattress was stained but the mattress cover and sheets were in very good condition.

Gino was amazing! He was welcoming, fun, friendly, and extremely helpful with every interaction we had with him. He was especially nice and caring towards my little niece and nephew. The Valley Hotel is lucky to have winch an amazing man as a part of their team. Thanks Gino for being awesome!!

There is a buffet with delicious eggs, pancakes, sausage, potatos, grits, cereal, oatmeal and a made to order omelet station. All staff at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. The last time I visited this hotel was just after COVID, when it was quiet, on this occasion I stayed for one night while attending a conference there. We arrived quite late, and the restaurant / bar area was extremely busy, the check in was nice and easy and reception staff so friendly and helpful. Had a snack and beer in the bar and then checked in, they allocated a very nice room, with all amenities, well-furnished and excellent WIFI. Breakfast was excellent, eggs cooked to order and the staff again so friendly, nice to see a smiling face in the morning. The event utilised two of the conference rooms adjacent to each other, on the ground floor and had excellent access for visitors. Buffet lunch was very good, generally a very good location for such an event.

We had a 4 night stay in one of the family suites while visiting the area, The shower and bathroom generally were excellent, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everywhere was clean and tidy, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. Breakfast provided a pretty good choice of hot and cold food, with a chef present to meet ad hoc requests. The self service hot drinks machine could do with an upgrade but thanks to Padma, one of the lovely ladies who looks after breakfast guests, we were treated to some personally prepared coffee and hot chocolate drinks and that gave us a happy start to the day.

The rooms are very clean, the shower is amazing and the toiletries provided are great quality. The restaurant on-site is convenient and the breakfast buffet is nice. All staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Will stay here every time I'm in Birmingham.

The property was very clean and maintained. The staff was exceptional! When I arrived the power was out due to storms and the staff was answering all the questions and was extremely professional! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The next morning myself and a couple of others had an early flight and the lady at the front desk ended up taking us to the airport due to the shuttle driver being unexpectedly late. The shuttle driver that picked me up when I returned was also extremely helpful and friendly. I give this hotel and staff a 2 thumbs up and 5 stars! Very very glad I picked this hotel!

Wonderful hotel. Great location. The room was very nice, very clean and all aspects were well kept. The bed was comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. This hotel features a really nice bar as well as a full service restaurant. The happy hour specials are great and the food was very tasty. All hotel employees I encountered were friendly and helpful. Called the hotel directly to confirm late check in. The desk attendant was friendly and professional and assured me that late check in would not be a problem. When we arrived after 11 pm, the main lobby was closed, but visible. It appeared to be clean and the floors in the vestibule were freshly mopped. Check in was fast and easy, and the attendant (I think the one I spoke to on the phone) walked outside to show us where to park because we were pulling a trailer. The room was simple, but clean. No frills, but we were only looking for a clean quiet room on our route. It was just what we needed at a reasonable price. I can't comment on the free breakfast because we were back on the road as soon as we woke up.

Check in was friendly and quick. The property has been recently renovated, and my room was comfortable and clean. My room was also very quiet (and it was a Saturday night.) The room included a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and coffee maker. There were more than enough linens, as well.

We enjoyed our stay here. Close to highway, and many restaurants and stores nearby. Room was modern and clean. Staff was very friendly. Good complimentary breakfast.

The only real downside is the parking can get crowded so you might not get a parking spot right in front of your room. The front desk clerks were very friendly and professional. There is also a cool grotto behind the hotel and it gives the place a very cozy nature feel.

Jackie at the front desk is so nice. She always answers my questions and listens to my concerns. She is very accommodating and goes above and beyond. The rooms are clean. It’s pretty quiet other than the morning when people are leaving to go to work. I wish the walls were not so thin. However, for the most part it is quiet and I feel safe. The staff is very friendly. I recommend staying here. The beds are comfortable as well. I feel like the quality of the room and the area is worth the price. To me, it’s the best hotel around. It’s nice and priced well. I give it 5 stars!

The Quality Inn was an enjoyable overnight stop. The hotel is dated and in need of updating. If you can over look that it was clean and functional for the most part. We had a short shower curtain that would not stay in the tub when showering. But, once again.... if you can look beyond the over paint, nicked furniture and walls, and aged lavatory features, it had a fairly comfortable bed and linens for a decent night's sleep. Also, had a lovely HEATED pool that was clean and maintained. The Continental Breakfast was minimal but acceptable. Staff were very helpful and friendly! Kudos to you all! Keep up the great work. For price and comfort, this stop fit the bill.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We were concerned about all of the noise from the busy highway it located on. But in our rooms we never heard any traffic, we were also towards the back of the building. The children loved the pool! For a hotel the shower was very nice, the pressure was excellent and they had plenty of hot water. The bad part of the shower was it was a walk in so the floor got soaked every time you used it. The beds were a little high off the floor but once you got in they were very comfortable. We had a tornado watch during our stay, therefore everyone was in their rooms and the wifi couldn't support all the usage. Other than that we didn't have any wifi issues. They had a nice selection for breakfast, but you had to get there early or there wasn't enough seats. Overall it's a clean, and nice place to stay. If we're ever in the area we plan on staying there again.

We arrived late on our way to Charleston, S.C. from Texas to join my Vietnam army veterans' reunion. The late night desk clerk was friendly and courteous. The room was clean, and the shower water pressure was the best I've encountered when traveling. The only problem was the window shade in our room was too thin to block the parking lot lights which illuminated our room, making it somewhat difficult to fall asleep. All appliances worked and the frig was large enough for us to store restaurant leftovers. Breakfast items included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, waffles, bagels, fruit juices, yogurt plus and a coffee machine that offered mild, average or strongly brewed coffee. All the staff we encountered were friendly and polite. We made plans to stay here again on our return trip to Texas. We recommend this hotel to others.

Staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean. Pool was indoors so that would be convenient for kids. Didn’t eat the breakfast but it was busy. Location was great - Chick-fil-a right in front of hotel as well as a gas station. Very short drive to other restaurants, shopping mall, Walmart and Target.

We stayed in Hoover because the room rates in Tuscaloosa to outrageous for our granddaughter's graduation from the UA. This place was exactly what we needed. Small, out of the way, clean, quiet, very friendly staff, good breakfast buffet and 1/3 the price.

The hotel was very clean. One staff member in particular stands out as exceptional. His name was Emerson. He went out of his way to be friendly, courteous, and helpful. I spent quite a bit of time in the lobby waiting on family. I observed his interactions with easy and difficult customers. He was patient with everyone.

We stopped here for an overnight on the way home after a beach trip. It was great for a one night stay, easy to access, felt safe, room was fine. Breakfast was a little scanty, but the coffee was good. Great value!

The room was very roomy and good shower water pressure. Breakfast offerings were light, no hot offerings like eggs or breakfast meat. No bagels and not good coffee unless you have a stomach of steel.

The details of what was included with the voucher at the hot/cold bar were also unclear. On the positive side, the rooms were quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the decor was pleasing. The lobby had great space for working or gathering with friends. A special shoutout to Christian, the doorman and luggage carrier—he was exceptionally friendly, handled all our bags with care, and brought them to our room. Overall, a comfortable stay, but clearer communication about amenities and renovations would improve the experience.

Over the 5 days that we were at the Marriott Birmingham, every moment was exceptional! From the front desk staff, to housekeeping, and definitely Carly and Chris, in the bar area! Carly and Chris made our visit very memorable, and enough so that we would return to this hotel. After only one visit to the bar our first night there, they remembered us, and our beverage order from the previous visit….made us feel so welcomed! Felt like an upscale “Cheers”! Keep up the great job, Carly, Chris and the entire Marriott B’ham Team. I wish I could recall the name of the gentleman at the front desk, that assisted us, because he was amazing as well! He may have been a manager, as I saw him in a conference room, in what appeared to be an interview, as we were departing the hotel on Monday, 4/28/25, around 11 a.m. The food was excellent, also - not your typical “bar food”. Christian was incredibly helpful and kind, making me feel genuinely welcome from the moment we interacted. His warm approach and positive attitude instantly put me at ease, which made the entire experience much more enjoyable. It’s not every day you come across someone who not only does their job well but also goes out of their way to create a comfortable and friendly environment. Christian has a naturally nice demeanor that makes him very easy to talk to. He was respectful, attentive, and showed a lot of patience, which I really appreciated. His personality is one of those rare ones that leaves a lasting impression—calm, friendly, and full of good energy. .

Christian was so helpful and welcoming. He loaded all of our luggage and made a great first impression. Lyssa at the front desk was great as well! She acknowledged me as a Platinum Elite Bonvoy Member, explained the breakfast hours and where it was served. Her interactions with us were warm and friendly. Our guest room was clean and the renovations are great. The only downside is the size of the double beds; would be so much more appealing if they were queen beds.

Luxury! The beds are so comfy. My son slept in later then ever because of the comfy big beds and black out shades. The smell when you enter the hotel is delicious. I should have bought that candle! The breakfast is so tasty and also affordable!! Big pancakes and a large portion of oatmeal plus a muffin and fruit was perfect to share for two. I love the decor here so much. Feels like you’re in a little hideaway castle. And the property itself is so convenient for shopping, grocery store, the zoo, the botanical gardens etc. I will definitely be back and I’ve already recommended to everyone I know!

This was my first encounter with this hotel and I travel a lot. This location was perfect. It was surrounded by any and everything you need. The room was clean from front to back or I wouldn't have been there!! The beds are very comfortable, bathroom was fully stocked with more than enough toiletries, and it was quiet. I only stayed one night but it was a very pleasant experience. There is an outside pool that was available for use which was good. The breakfast was excellent at this location. There are not too many hotels who believe in flavor.... well if you want a breakfast straight from your moms kitchen this is the place. Staff was the best from beginning to end. I was a little concerned based on the previous reviews that mentioned cleanliness , but we were pleasantly surprised. We were in town for just one night for some medical appointments and just needed a place to lay our heads and did not need frills. We found the hotel and room to be clean and basic but certainly met our needs. The room had all the necessities, soap, shampoo, lotion, frig, microwave etc. I did chuckle when I saw how high the soaps in the shower were mounted. A previous reviewer mentioned you needed to be six feet tall and I suddenly understood. The bed was fine but the bedding and pillows could have been a little more substantial. The breakfast was on par with most properties such as this. They had coffee, cereal, milk, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, bread and all the fixings. It certainly met our needs. We would definitely stay here again in similar circumstances.

This property was affordable, located close to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the room was spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have the refrigerator because my spouse has refrigerated medications. The breakfast was tasty.

The service staff was overly accommodating. After losing my previous booking from a different hotel, my family had to sleep in the car. I was able to secure a room at this facility, but was unable to check in until the following day as they were full. I arrived early at the hotel in hopes to be able to check in. The staff worked diligently to get a room, clean and offer us early check-in. They were helpful, friendly, and overly accommodating.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet and safe. The room was nice and comfy. The only issues were the lack of towels in the gym and pool area. The elevator had a few spills that was not cleaned up for several hours. The pool also had a dirt ring around the top. One last thing that was good and bad was the smoke detector went off when showering with the bathroom door open. My wife and I enjoyed a hot shower until the alarm sound in the room causing me to get out and fan the alarm. I also rushe to place clothes on in case the staff came to check on the alarm but no one showed up. Outside of that its a really nice hotel and I enjoyed our 3 day 2 night stay.

Tashia was very helpful recommending restaurants. Breakfast was awesome too. The room needed a few improvements but was very clean. The pillows need to be replaced, and the wet bar sink did not work, paint on the couch and the dead bolt was backwards. Staff was awesome though and really enjoyed the city.

Room was ample size and not cramped. Bed and pillows was comfortable. Bathroom and room are clean and updated. The sofa bed was a nice feature and gave us enough space for our stay. Staff was polite and professional. Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of varieties to choose from.

Super friendly staff, from check-in to housekeeping services. I can’t remember when I’ve come across such a welcoming staff at a hotel. Our room on the 3rd floor was comfortable and quiet. The hotel provides complimentary coffee each morning, which is something I always love in a hotel. The lobby has all kinds of great seating options for gathering, a small bar with TVs, and a pool table/game area. I would absolutely stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I must admit I was a little apprehensive about our stay in Birmingham, being from the UK and having read about crime rates in the media, however, this was one of the most pleasant surprises of our three-week road-trip. Homewood is lovely, we even enjoyed an evening stroll around and much to our delight saw some fireflies for the first time!! I wish we had time to stay and explore more the next day. This hotel is in a safe area and feels modern and well kept, we received a very friendly welcome and were issued with a little bag of goodies! Our room was very spacious; comfy beds, a large shower and big windows with a nice view out the front of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was grab and go, just what we needed for our one-night layover. Thank you Aloft for a great stay!

I travel to Homewood for business 1-2X a year, and had stayed at another hotel nearby that I was so-so on.. and decided to try the Aloft, and was happy I did. The hotel is located within a bunch of good restaurants, some right across the street, and some within a 5-10 min walk. The parking is very convenient covered and connected to the hotel. The staff in the lobby were great - very friendly and helpful. Any time I walked into the lobby I was greeted with a smile and hello, and they enjoyed their interactions with guests. The room served its purpose. It's a tad on the small side but it's fine. I would have liked to have see a comfy love seat in the corner as there was only the chair at the desk. The pillows were firm which is a big plus for me. Bed was on a softer side - not my preference but was fine. The bathroom was good with a walk in shower and easy to get to and stay at the desired water temp. Only negative of the room was the loud HVAC unit in the room.. that may have affected my sleep.. Noise from inside or outside the room was little to none. Room was clean with hard wood floors. The hotel offers a light breakfast for free with fruit and either pound cake or hard boiled eggs at least while I was there. They also gave me a bottle water and some snacks (pretzels, peanuts) when I checked in. There was also a free bottled water in the room too. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would be happy to stay here again during my next business stay.

I had to work at UAB during the Winter storm warning and needed a room fast to spend the night and stay close so I didn’t have to drive to work in the snow the next morning. I had no reservation and walked right in! I was lucky they had availability! The front desk staff was helpful and friendly! Jada, the valet, let me leave my car parked right in front so I could jump out and ask for a room. She was very helpful with parking. I walked half a block to eat dinner and there were several restaurants to choose from. Overall, it was a great stay for a last minute spend the night need!

This is the elusive bargain for those who want to save expenses while still having clean, safe, roomy accommodations that don't offer it all, just a little more than basic. Location is great in proximity to shopping, dining, and UAB Medicine facilities; while still maintaining some enjoyable greenspace ambiance. Parking, ice, breakfast, coffee, hot tea and some toiletries are free. Room had clothing iron, hair dryer, and mini-fridge (without freezer), single-serve coffee/tea maker with replacable pad insert, comfortable beds, decent cable-TV selection, internet access (didn't use), and a closet without hangers (did have shelf and solid hanging rod); no drawers anywhere. Temperature controls (wall unit) was quick achived setting, both heat and cooling. Am not sure what happened with those who reviewed about rude employees as my interactions were very pleasant with genuine appreciation for authentic complements; though on a previous visit a couple of the remodling workers were inconsiderate by delaying passage through shared spaces.

Excellent service and comfy room. We were traveling and very tired. Front deck staff was cherry and helpful in.every way. Elevator closest to out room was not working so we had a long walk each time we went out. Decent breakfast with waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt & bagels. Bathroom was clean & spacious with a great walk in shower.

Some Breakfast Items with posted signs were just not there and I hardly saw a staff member to ask anything until we were basically finished with breakfast.

I recently came into town to celebrate a friend birthday and I really enjoyed my stay from the time I checked in from the time I checked out. Upon checking in, I was greeted by friendly staff. When I entered my room, the room was near spotless. It was very very clean and it was much appreciated, especially with the new variant. The free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Check out was easy and when I am back in Birmingham, I will be staying here again!

This location is a bit out of the way (6 miles) from I-65, but so worth the extra few minutes. It is a safe and pretty area, in a corporate business district. This location has lots of dining and shopping choices. The staff were all very nice and personable. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The included breakfast was better than a typical continental breakfast. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The owner and host was so sweet and full of fun information about the property. Breakfast was delicious! All of the rooms where so fun. Ours was the peacock room, and it was the perfect size for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

My main reason for coming to Birmingham was to visit the civil rights sites but staying a couple of nights in a late 19th century mansion was a nice bonus in the middle of a long road trip. The house is certainly beautiful and the location is quite nice. There are a couple of upscale restaurants in the neighborhood (Five Points), a real good bbq place and a bunch of standard fast food places. I found there was plenty of parking behind the building (the parking lot belongs to the mansion) and it was a convenient, quick drive to the civil rights sites. The breakfast both mornings was ample and delicious. I found it to be a relaxing two days.

We had a very nice stay at the mansion. The check in was easy because Shelia answered her phone quickly and gave us the access code, then our room key was waiting for us on a door side table. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is also quite good with many restaurants nearby. and it's maybe 3/4 mile walk to the hospital campus. We did not experience the noise issues that others did, but there were a lot of students nearby so I could see that could be a potential issue. The only odd thing was that we hung the Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle and the room was cleaned anyway, and several items were discarded that should have been left alone, so if you have receipts or things that might look like trash lying around that you don't want discarded, better put them in your bags. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay and would stay there again.

This Days Inn is GREAT! We stayed here for the SEC baseball tournament and it was about as perfect as it could get. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The beds could have been more comfortable but the linens were clean. The breakfast was good but tge seating was limited. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend it.

This lodging is about 5 minutes from Interstate 65, near a multitude of restaurants and shopping. It is 20 minutes from University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and downtown Birmingham. I have stayed here previously and will be back in late June 2023. The area is quiet and secure. A Panera restaurant is 2 minutes walk across the parking and has a Deli and salad bar restaurant that is within waling distance. Sam's Club is next door. I recommend this place as a nice place to stay when travelling through or staying for a time (I stay a week at a time for work).

All positive things to say. Staff was friendly, rooms were very clean, breakfast was great. Location was perfect. We came for the SEC tournament. THE BED WAS INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE! After getting back from being in the hot sun. I showered and passed out for 12 hours because how soft the bed and pillows were.

For a quick overnight stay, this place is ideal for its convenient location and reasonable price. Situated near the highway, it offers easy access to nearby eateries and shopping areas. The hotel boasts ample well-lit parking, although its older structure is quite noticeable from the outside. Inside, the friendly receptionist efficiently checked me in and provided all necessary information. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of order, forcing me to climb two flights of stairs, but the hallways were decent given the building's age. The room met my expectations, with a slightly musty carpet, patched walls, and a new, efficient AC unit. The renovated bathroom stood out with a lovely vanity and pristine cleanliness. The comfortable bed featured clean sheets, and although I skipped breakfast based on prior reviews, my overall experience was satisfactory. I would certainly consider staying here again.

When l reserved the room last week , l chose the super 8 by Wyndham in homewood , Ala. The hotel ad stated that breakfast was included… Well l got up this morning and went to eat some breakfast around 7:00 Am. There was a tray with small blueberry muffins and orange juice and of course coffee .. nothing else , no cereal, no nothing …lm sure they charge more for there rooms when breakfast is included …If they list breakfast being included, they should at least try to do better than that …

We stayed for one night, they were training a new check in person and the person doing the training was very patient with the new person. The hotel is being remodeled and our room was totally new and very nice. All the hotel was very clean seemed to be very clean. The breakfast sucked as there was coffee and a few rolls etc. The front desk said that once the remodeling was done they will be adding a fuller breakfast.

The juice machine didn't work at first but that's because they hadn't turned it on. I tried getting some apple juice. They must have been out of that because I only got a couple ounces. So I went after the orange juice. Value for price paid. Five stars. Very comfortable bed, very quiet and economical.

We’ve been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for the last four years. It’s in a good location. The people are usually friendly and the hotel is always clean. The woman who checked us in was exceptionally pleasant. I was a bit disappointed by the positioning of the fold out sofa. It was directly in front of the air conditioning vent. I wish there had been a heavier blanket for the sofa bed. Breakfast was not good. I never expect much from hotel breakfast, but the oatmeal was the best thing I found. Oh and the coffee was terrible! Please, please get a different kind of coffee!

My room was spotless — one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in — and everything was well-kept and comfortable. The breakfast was great, with plenty of options to start the day off right. I also really appreciated the ample parking for my U-Haul since I’ve been moving and traveling — it made things so much easier. Overall, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had — highly recommend!

Stayed two nights in a double queen. Very fast and easy check in with friendly woman at the front counter. Smelt a little funny in the room as I walked in but it quickly went away, nothing terrible. Besides a broken drawer that I didn’t use anyway, everything was clean and nice. It was very quiet and comfortable. Not luxury, but totally worth the price.

Checkin was quick, had no issues. My room was clean and had fridge and microwave. The bed was nice and firm...parking was great...the elevators were right inside the side door. They had a decent breakfast and fresh cookies in the coffee area each night of my stay and they were delicious! I was there 3 night so on Thursday when I made it back from work...room had been cleaned and fresh towels were left. No noise disturbances and the staff was friendly. They use Direct TV so I was able to watch some cable. Overall I had no issues...its surrounded by good places to eat, and I would recommend or I would stay here again in the future.

I had read several recent negative reviews about this hotel. I chose to give it a try anyway because of its location and my past experiences with Hampton Inns. I have to say our one-night stay while traveling was very pleasant, The room was basic, but clean and fresh, with no scent of heavy air freshener that you sometimes find at hotels which are trying to cover up pet or smoking odors. The bed was comfortable, the HVAV system worked well, the microwave and fridge were clean, the bathroom was roomy, and featured a tub, which I had requested. The free breakfast offered hot eggs, sausage, grits, and waffles along with various pastries, breads, juice, and coffee. The only areas for improvement I found were the price point at $187 (incl. taxes) for a basic room, which I found high, and the front desk staff who could have had a little more welcoming tone. Overall, I was very pleased with our stay.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Looks like the room could use some minor repairs. Biggest complaint was the in wall heater/AC did not maintain the temperature well - it cycled between too hot then too cold. Shower water pressure in one room was low, but the other room was great. Breakfast was fantastic every morning, without exception! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Will stay again if we’re return to the area.

Throughout the planning process and our stay itself every team member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our rooms were clean, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after long days of meetings and events. The beds were especially cozy, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made the stay feel easy and restful. This hotel provided a perfect home base for our team throughout the week. We’ll definitely be back next year!

The breakfast was not great; the cereal choices were sugary and tasted stale, the oatmeal was gooey, there was a hair in my scrambled eggs. The selection of fruit was nice and the waffle maker is always a hit. The coffee was like brown hot water, something I am always picky about when staying in hotels! Good coffee always improves the experience:) lots of parking options and plenty to eat and shop around the area.

Every time we’re in Birmingham, this is the place we stay. The team at Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham 280 East–Eagle Point always goes above and beyond. From the moment we walked in, everyone at the front desk made us feel welcome and taken care of... super friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to the amazing lady running breakfast....she’s got the kind of energy that makes your whole morning better. Always smiling, always making sure everyone’s got what they need. It’s the little things like that that make a big difference. The housekeeping crew? Top-notch. Our room was spotless every day, and they were always so kind and respectful. And to top it all off, the General Manager, James, took the time to personally chat with us. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it really stood out. Can’t recommend this place enough. I stayed here solo for business recently. This was a very enjoyable stay. The property is located in a quiet area adjacent to a retail development. Traffic noise was negligible. The facilities appeared and smelled clean with none of the overpowering air freshener I have encountered at two other Hampton Inn properties recently. Check in was efficient. The room was clean and appeared recently renovated along with the rest of the facility. Everything worked fine. I question Hilton’s continued usage of bar soap when there are already squeeze dispensers in the shower. That’s wasteful. There were a few eating establishments in the area without having to get back out on 280 but some were closed on Sunday evening. I really enjoyed my stay here and will stop again.

Great location up on a hill off the main highway, so very quiet. Comfortable lobby area with areas to sit or work on your laptop. There is a small market that was open in the mornings for coffee and light breakfast. Market near front desk also well stocked. You can walk across the street to a Shell station, Target or Macy's if you need anything. A few restaurants were also open across the street and many other strip malls and restaurants less than 10 min away by car. Leave extra time to get anywhere from here - at times the traffic was really busy, but it's easy in and out light from the hotel. Recommend this hotel!

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the pool/courtyard/mountain. I loved the availability of Starbucks and the bistro breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I struggle to find a hotel with consistently good service in or near downtown Birmingham. I regularly take early morning flights to see my mother and we live an hour away. I don't drive well in the dark so we stay near the airport for a quick early morning ride. This hotel nearly met and even exceeded out standards on many fronts. We love having the balcony to get fresh air. Far too many people -- even ones who smoke outdoors -- leave the smell of cigarettes in hotel rooms and it's not helpful to anyone who is allergic to smoke like I am. This was a very clean room with fresh air and I loved the upgrade to a suite. The downsides? Well, the woman working at the eating area needed help. My food was room temperature by the time I got it. I didn't complain because she was clearly overwhelmed. Also, the refrigerator in my room was so high, the yogurt I got to eat the next morning was rock hard! Thankfully, the front desk person let me switch it out. But all in all, this is an excellent hotel. I even loved the sounds of the children playing in the pool. You will feel safe here and there are lots of dining options nearby should you not want to pay for the food which is a bit wee, or high, like most hotel food. Still the service was great. My hats off to the workers in this hotel for dealing well with what most businesses are dealing with: small, overworked staffs.

We stayed here for a one night stopover between Central Florida and Memphis. We usually stay at Hampton Inns but decided to try Courtyard. Hotel was comfortable and in a good location. Positives: nice pool/courtyard area, quiet room, bar/bistro in the lobby. Cons: no free coffee in the morning, no microwave in the room, and no complimentary breakfast items.

Pleasant older property recently nicely refurbished. Friendly staff, very clean premises. Odd layout, elevators are at back of building so be prepared to walk a lot of hallways. No bathroom amenities, just dispensers; no daily maid service. Location is the key to this hotel; cannot be beat; close to everything and safe. Bistro dining concept is still just that and really does not work well. Save your money and go to one of the many local spots nearby. Nice pool area for relaxing. Overall a safe bet for Birmingham.

Breakfast staff kind, delightful and food tasty. Special needs accommodation met beautifully. Hotel hospitality done as it should ALWAYS be! HILTON is most fortunate to have Jose, Janet and team. We were okay with the property itself and the atmosphere. Very open centralized lobby with beautiful live fish and waterfall. Noticed the handicap sign was run into, pushed over (bent) and not fixed. We arrived during rain, and the roundabout door was not functional. Side doors to main entrance were not CLEARLY visible. Once inside, it was clear that renovations were underway for the main desk. The 2 desk attendants were very consumed with 1 guest and a lot of communication via a walkie talkie. Once we were addressed the male subject was very friendly and informative. Our room upon entry, appeared spacious and inviting. Extra bedding was already provided for the sofa bed. The bathroom was well lit but, it also was the most disgusting finds. From a shower which hadn't been cleaned, visible body hair, markings from previous guests bath bottles, an EMPTY shower gel and hair conditioner dispensary, very loose shower faucet (not connected to the tile at all) and a used tissue bunched up under the sink vanity. The room's temperature was an icy frigid temp until we completely turned the unit off. There was no adjusting permitted except when we informed the manager and he said maintenance could enter our rom and turn the heat on in our room for the duration of our stay.The rooms on either side of us were incredibly loud and you could clearly hear every door open/shut, every word spoken or yelled and it was quickly addressed by a security guard for the hotel. Bedding had body odor.

The staff at front desk and in restaurant are friendly and courteous. The options of breakfast, happy hour and having a steak house on the property are all excellent. The rooms are clean but the restaurant needs work on the floors. The floors are sticky making the area feel unclean. It could be the wax used, but I have stayed there 4 times this year and it's always the same. Other than that, the location and services are quite good.

I always have a peaceful deep sleep at the Embassy. The mattress is magical. The front desk staff and bartender were extremely friendly and professional. You cannot beat the breakfast; no other hotel compares to their breakfast. They now charge for self-parking but it is only $5 a night.

Although this may be partly due to our stay being on Christmas eve, the hotel was very quiet and once in our room we were unaware of other guests. The staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. We definitely will use this hotel again the next time we are passing thru Birmingham.

The gentleman for evening check was thoughtful and courteous. There is a paid buffet, evening bar, and they sell microwave foods in lobby. Location safe and convenient for sports teams competing at crossplex. There was room for school buses. Hotel seems new or recently updated. Small indoor pool and gym. Restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking and lighting outside. Tiny dog area and station with bags and trash. Adjacent parking lot has plenty of grass and treed area for pets. King rooms have shower and double queens had tub. Microwave and mini fridge in rooms. Instant coffee with pods.

The hotel was mostly clean and modern. The coffee makers in our rooms were dusty and did not appear to be clean. This hotel did not offer breakfast. Would have been nice if they offered breakfast type items in the canteen area

Staff was very friendly - we were in town for Talladega Race so I asked what he knew about Talladega and he suggested what time we should leave to be there, which was helpful. Hotel was very nice - clean, spacious, and a safe location.

My visit was short so did not experience much. Room was clean and comfortable. Soap was very small for taking a shower. Staff at breakfast were GREAT. Very accomadating. Very friendly.

Family and friends booked most of the hotel for my daughter’s wedding. Only one of the elevators was working our entire stay. Very inconvenient for a weekend of wedding activities and quick in and out changes. We were on the 12th floor so stairs were not an option in high heels and long gowns. However, the room was more modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy! Towels were new and clean. It is for these reasons I gave a higher score. The valet parking was a bit of a hassle as there is not very much room out front for checking in or out. And it’s expensive. The valet staff were amazing but we ended up parking in paid parking after already paying valet parking because of limited front access. There are restaurants within distance which was convenient because we didn’t want to deal with the hassle of the car. Even though you could go in and out as much as you wanted. There is a rooftop bar that was busy. We did not try the hotel restaurant. I hope this honest review helps you make a decision.

The room was nice but very basic in amenities. No mini-fridge or wet bar of any sort. Coffee maker was on a desk. It did have a safe though. Everything seemed clean and the bed, pillows, and linens were soft and comfortable. The AC was set to 62 when we got to our room and said the temp in the room was 64 but it was probably about 70 degrees in there. Fine for us, but seems that it may not be working properly. We only stayed one night, so wasn't enough for us to ask staff about it. The building is old and you can tell. Homeless people outside the lobby and an interesting crowd walking in and out of the lobby going to the lobby bar and rooftop bar. The room was nice enough overall.

This was a one night stop on our way to Orange Beach, Alabama. Our room was nice and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Might seem strange but the best part of the stay was dinner at the bar. The bartender was kind and paid attention to what we were interested in. Made a great Old Fashioned and our meal was delicious. Had the beef tips and it was the best meal we had on our 10 day trip with stops in Augusta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Orange Beach, AL and Savannah, GA.

Terry at the valet desk was just as fantastic. Not only was he prompt and professional, but he also made me feel like a valued guest every time I came or went from the hotel. His positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out. The hotel itself is stunning and stylish, with an upscale vibe and modern decor that made my stay feel special. From the bold design to the excellent customer service, everything was top-tier. I’ll absolutely be staying here again on my next trip to Birmingham. Excellent and professional friendly staff. Great rooftop bar and restaurant in lobby. I stayed in a King Suite which was very clean and comfortable. My only 2 negatives are that the TV’s should be updated with smart TV’s so guests can log into their own streaming services. They only provide basic cable service channels. And the cost for parking is very high. IG we both used the hotel valet (only hotel option by the way) it would have cost about $250 to park 2 cars for the 3 nights stay. I paid about $80 to park 2 cars a block and a half away for 3 nights with in and out privileges

Great hotel! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than expected. The pool was small but nice and warm. We all enjoyed it, but with a lot of people it would be over crowded... It would be a 5 star but the bathroom door didn’t close the easiest because it was coming off the hinges on the bottom. The shower pressure was also very lame. My hair is thick and it took forever to get it completely wet and rinsed. My shower was long.

Also the location of the hotel is perfect. There are restaurants, Planet Fitness, and gas stations within walking distance. More restaurants and gas stations within a 5 minute drive. Breakfast was not served due to COVID and there is a picnic area on the side of the building. The hotel is about 2 blocks from I-20.

Convenient location for us. There was a good restaurant just down the road and a Waffle House restaurant for breakfast. Rooms were clean, quiet and beds comfortable.

I was a bit wary after reading one of the reviews. The room is very clean, furnishings are nice and modern. The bed is comfortable with nice linens. Bathroom is nice and modern with toiletries. It’s not Embassy Suites but it is a nice room. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and kind. I’ve decided that the building facade doesn’t match the interiors. It is a cement jungle and could use some greenery. The outside should match the renovated inside. Would I stay here again? Yes, I would.

I enjoyed feeling safe despite the outer appearance of the building and how the scenery felt a bit too quiet. The beds were comfortable and clean although the room was a bit outdated. You can tell they are making changes with new appliances and decor so the fact that there were no bugs other than an ant from outside gave the room a bonus. I was only there for a night the shower worked fine and soap/towels were provided beforehand. Air worked for a good hot day. Staff was informative and I did receive my deposit back in a timely manner.

There was no breakfast available but the facility was clean and well maintained. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a mashup of unexpected greats and unanticipated less-goods. The happy surprises: an amazing single lighted basketball court for a bball crazy middle school son! An incredible authentic-Italian pizza/gelato place just a few minutes walk from the property. Breakfast taco items (delicious shreddable pork and pickled jalapenos!) at the breakfast buffet. The less happy: The rooms were a little dated and because of this FELT less clean than usual for this brand, but I believe a renovation is coming. They were out of bars of soap but when I asked they gave me an additional shower gel for the bathroom sink. The bedspreads were a bit scratchy, and there was no bedding provided for the sleeper sofa, but we were too lazy to ask for it. The coffee wasn't great, and (I am a cream person!) there was just artificial half and half with no flavorings. The workout room worked, but was pretty small and the water dispenser was in disrepair.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. It was super clean. The staff was friendly and when I had questions they helped without sounding frustrated or annoyed. There are lots of places to eat within close driving distance and the area itself seemed safe. Their breakfast was pretty decent. I have had better but there was plenty of the regular hotel breakfast choices. They kept it stocked and the area was clean. My crew has already requested to stay here again next year when we return for an annual event.

Very nice hotel, clean, smelled good, had a basketball court- which is even better than a pool for my kids. Loved that it was tucked in a quiet location. Bed was very comfy and room was spacious. Staff was kind. Enjoyed the breakfast. Our showers didn’t get very hot but for everything else being so nice, I'd still give it 5 stars.

I like Homewood suites because they are usually clean and I enjoy the b-fast and late afternoon food service. Was disappointed when I found out that the late afternoon food was no longer happening. The rooms need maintenance and aren't super clean. The carpets in the halls and room are stained. I have been to many Homewood suites and never had a complaint but this one is in need of some updates and maintenance. Someone also needs to fix the locks on the other entrances to the hotel so we feel safe when staying there. I have stayed here before several years ago and thought I would try again since the last time we were here, we had stink bugs and the room needed some cleaning. Won't be coming back to this one. I hate writing a bad review because the staff there is amazing! They were always smiling, caring and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. I didn't complain when we were there since we were only there for one night due to having to leaving for a family emergency. Again, the staff is what makes this place. Otherwise, why stay here when you can go to another hotel close by that is cleaner. Not sure where the spotlessly clean comments are coming from.

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area. The suite was clean. The beds were comfortable. It was quiet. We loved that you had to have a key to enter our building, so we felt safe. The staff was exceptionally nice.

I decided to give The Kelly another visit. Of course everyone from the valet to front desk to the bar are amazing and give great service. I stayed in room 1305. Big spacious room. I checked in and the room was very cool when I walked in. It was so so clean. The bed and bathroom were spotless and sparkling. I slept like a rock. I went to the bar and they have such a great selection of red wines and champagnes. Not your typical hotel bar. Overnight parking is $44 a night I think that is all over Birmingham just to say. Not just this hotel. I will return.

A plus is that it is convenient for downtown events. The room was small but comfortable. More of the bathroom space should have been put in the bedroom. The in room coffee is terrible. Replace with a name brand breakfast blend. There was no regular creamer for the coffee downstairs. The restaurant downstairs was shut down for dinner due to weather. We had to order in pizza. The elevators are in need of refurbishment and are too dark.

The aesthetics were amazing!! It was beautiful extremely clean bathroom was also beautiful lighting was good loved the shower and the fact your name is displayed on the tv when you walk in. The bar and restaurant was also amazing!!! Food and drinks were so good and the night time expand lighting was also on point. Also like that they had valet parking as well. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there. And have found our new spot when visiting Birmingham

My five-star review was primarily due to the exceptional staff. Walter, the valet, set the tone with his outstanding service. Given the challenges of parking in downtown Birmingham, opting for the hotel's valet service proved worthwhile. My room's cleanliness and amenities were consistently maintained thanks to Angie from housekeeping. Throughout my stay, Rere and Charlea provided friendly assistance around the clock. Although I only visited the bar/restaurant once, the attendant's warm hospitality left a lasting impression. My stay was 3 due to a family emergency but I enjoyed the stay so much, I booked an additional night to just relax.

Beautiful property; great location with access to restaurants within walking distance ; friendly team on staff. Got there late and they still got me something to eat and a cold beer with a smile. Marci was super helpful and friendly- assisted with valet, bar service- just jumped right in and provided great customer service!

We stayed on the 6th floor and had a great experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the tv worked fine, the water was hot in the shower and i received all the amenities of a typical mid-range hotel. Check-in and check-out was easy and they even had a little bar to enjoy an evening drink. Only two downsides. First, as with many city locations, there was no real parking offered other than valet. The service was however pretty quick and efficient enough to not make me late to anything. Secondly, you have to call down to the front desk to have your room temperature changed. Never heard of this before... haha... but the room was comfy (it was 34 degrees outside) and I never needed to call. All in all I would stay at Hotel Indigo again without hesitation. Thanks for the stay.

Clean, Friendly & COMFY are the three words I would use to describe the Courtyard by Marriott in Trussville. This is the third year in a row that we have stayed here in March and we have always had the same experience. The rooms are clean, the hotel is quiet even when full, the service is super friendly, and we always have a good stay. I have never had a single issue with the hotel, thank you to the staff for all you do! (PS: Location is really good as well - across from nice Target and plenty of restaurants.)

Althea Hopson assisted my husband who is a disabled Veteran. On our way home to plan a funeral and we always prefer a Marriott and started getting tired near Trussville. She was not only kind (especially considering our last few days), but helpful getting us a suite. The way that you treat people goes a long way. We make this trip on average between 15-20 times a year and will be staying here again because of her. The hotel is clean and the suite is spacious with comfortable beds. There is also a Starbucks and bistro downstairs. It’s a perfect place for good employees and a quiet rest.

Everything was wonderful as always. Staff is exceptional. They are professional,friendly and they put the effort in to make sure all your needs are taken care of always. It like home away from home. Rooms a very clean and Beds/ pillows are awesome . I always look forward to my visit to just relax. Lounge/dining/bar area is very relaxing . Overall great place to stay.

It is in a Fabulous location close to a variety of restaurants. the facilities are clean and attractive. The room was attractive and Clean. The beds were comfy and the towels were Soft and fluffy. I’m still confused about breakfast, it was not a free continental but sort of a mini bar.

We traveled to Birmingham for a celebration of life service. All of the hotels were sold out due to a concert; but the staff at the Courtyard Marriott went above and beyond to accommodate us. Specifically Quez and Ervin at the front desk. We were a group of about 15 people and they treated us like family. They ensured we were as comfortable as can be. Especially Ervin. Hus pleasant demeanor, problem solving on room issues and ability to offer suggestions for dining options were superb. I/we really enjoyed our time at the hotel simply due to the customer service of the team. Althea also helped us out with a room switch one night. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is in an ideal location with retail shopping and restaurants nearby. We didnt get to enjoy the pool but that area was nice as well. The beds also were comfortable and the lobby is a nice hang out spot to watch the game or play board games with family. I would recommend this hotel and suggest the Marriott recognizes their outstanding employees offering stellar customer service in this current job market. Good job Ervin, Quez and Althea

There was no soap in the bathroom whatsoever ever. The room didn’t have any bad smells. the tub was really slick with no traction. Shower curtain was clean. The air condition was not loud at all. The toilet paper holder was in a really weird place. water pressure was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. I believe that this hotel is in need of a small upgrade. Sheets and curtains were stained. Lamps, Lights and sink fixtures were corroded. Walls were chipped and had stains on them. Some things need to be replaced. We went down for breakfast, (8:30ish) housekeeping had marked us as checked out. So someone walked in on us after we returned. Housekeeping was LOUD in the morning, I felt it was very inconsiderate and would have been very mad if I wasn’t already awake. There was a loud commotion late in the night, I called the front desk. Seemed to handle the situation. If these things are fixed this will be a very nice hotel, but if not it’s going to go downhill quickly I fear. Breakfast was very enjoyable. The food was fresh and the attendant was very nice, helpful and kept everything very clean.

This hotel is amazing!! The staff are friendly and professional. I would like to especially thank Rhonda for such an incredible customer service experience. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was top notch. Loved the location! So many restaurants and fast food choices! I would highly recommend this hotel for a great night's stay!

We traveled from Richmond TX to Hilton Head SC, staying in Comfort Inn Choice hotels through all the states. This hotel was absolutely the best. The hotel had gone through renovations, it was clean, the furniture in the lobby was clean, public restrooms were clean, room design was great, staff at the front desk was friendly, informative and eager to help. Breakfast room was clean and the food was actually cooked in a skillet. This hotel seemed to be the best equipped for guests. The only complaint I had was that the tile portion of our room had not been mopped and it had some sticky stuff on the floor, the bathtub and sink was also not as clean as I would have liked it. I loved this hotel, but would revied the cleaning methods or people if it were mine.

There were no stragglers, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and ready. The beds were super comfortable probably one of the most relaxing beds I’ve slept in during my travels. Most importantly it was clean.

Cons:We stayed here because I was having surgery at the hospital close by. The reason I picked this hotel,other than the closeness,was it was supposed to be pet free except for service animals. I was going to have cut open places on me,so pet free was important to me. The day before my surgery,there were some people with a small white dog in the lobby. It was not a service dog. It wasn't on a leash,and was just running around sniffing things. Everyday when we left,we would put the "Do not Disturb" sign in the outside of the door,in clear sight. We would come back and could tell they had been in the room because the garbage was gone and new towels were there. We though ,do not disturb,meant don't come in the room. Pros: The hotel is clean,quiet and roomy. The front desk clerk was great. My husband really enjoyed the breakfast,and parking is good. The bed was comfortable,and the pillows are great. There are plenty of shampoo and conditioner. There is also a Chinese buffet in front of the hotel,but unfortunately because of my surgery we couldn't try it. Lots of restaurants close by and easy access to hospitals and businesses. We would stay again

The rooms are clean, it’s an older motel so there is a musty smell. The bed linen was clean. Amenities: WiFi is fast, coffee in room is stocked, second floor ice machine didn’t work...first floor does, microwave and fridge in room, parking is not an issue, disabled people need first floor, pool is very small but clean. Did not check if there is a fitness room. Breakfast bar is your standard Walmart/Costco thing. Check-in: staff were friendly, no issues with check-in. Area: Area is safe, motel is safe. Typical airport area. Cons: entrance is wacky.....I drove by it the first time and had to turn around.

Basic, but clean and close to airport. It was worth more than I paid for it. It's three blocks from a McDonalds, near the highway leading to the airport, and the beds are comfortable, the shower has good pressure and lots of hot water, it is quiet, and the room was clean, I asked for and was provided a room on the first floor, the desk clerks were helpful, I felt safe high up on the hill where it is tucked. The parking lot was well lit. There was a hair dryer, a coffee maker, and great cable tv. When you're done with Birmingham and have a plane to catch the next day, this is a good choice.

Passing through on the way to Atlanta and needed a night's rest. This was a great place. Room was very large and clean. Comfortable bed and good TV. Clean bathroom. That's what I look for. Very convenient getting on the I-20 the next morning. Breakfast sealed the deal for me. Biscuits and gravy is always a treat, along with eggs and sausage. Coffee and juice topped it off. Very friendly staff at check-in and check-out.

This is likely the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a light breakfast including juices, waffles, bagels, fruit and cereal. The room had a microwave and fridge. I was very impressed.

Be aware of $100 deposit for "damage to room", mold under soap tray in shower/bathtub (wouldn't notice unless one took a bath), floor not clean in front of refrig ( several spills from someone else), fruit flies in room, ice bucket had peanut butter (?) and attracted bugs. Breakfast doesnt include eggs and bacon just cereal, waffles, yogurt, bagles/toast, juice and coffee. If coming off of I-65, not worth the extra 10 miles. Price was reasonable for a king sized bed.

The staff was super welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. Reading the reviews I was a little hesitant on selecting this hotel, but it was clean and convenient to the stadium. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. No issues and would stay again.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Walking distance to museums, stafiums, convention center, bars, and restaurants. The hotel beeds a good cleaning and bew cushions on furniture. Parking was $20 in a garage behind the hotel. Check in was not until 4pm. And do not think you can get an early check in. The staff was iffy. We had our luggage held by a sweet young lady. Our check in Rep was not friendly or happy to be there. Staff around the halls seem to be friendly and helpful. Overpriced for what we received.

Unlike many other reviews here, I found the Westin Birmingham to be outstanding. While I would agree that the property is a bit aged, my room was outstanding as were all of the staff I encountered from the fromt desk to housekeeping. And unlike many other hotels across the nation who stick to the ridiculous non-daily COVID room cleaning, this Westin offers daily housekeeping, which I was very pleased with! The beds and pillows were very comfortable plus there is an actual shower. No showering in a bathtub! This hotel offers enjoyable old fashioned southern hospitality so thank you to all Westin staff for that! I was attending a work conference at the Sheraton. There is an internal bridge that connects the two hotels so you don't have to venture outside to get from one hotel to another. I found the Westin to be the better of the two hotels plus all of the nearby restaurants are within walking distance of the Westin, another huge bonus. So job well done Westin! I would definitely stay there again when in Birmingham!

The pillows and bed were so comfortable!! And the amenities for the shower smelt so good! It was White Tea according to the bottle! Also, the friendly staff Tim and Nicole! They were both welcoming and Tim was so great about taking great care of us with offering snacks like apples. He even gave me a water bottle when I asked about water for my water bottle. I feel nowadays great guest service is rare! So when I recognize exceptional guest service, I take the time to write a great review about the person. Tim is the man!

Very easy to get in and out of. Everything was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful when we needed extra sheets for the sleeper sofa. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable.

During our stay the front desk staff were very friendly, kind, and informative! Also I had a coffee spill at the front door and went to get napkins to clean it up my self but a kind gentleman employee of yours saw it and right away and said to me “oh no Mam, I will take care of that for you” and so I applaud all of your staff!

From the friendly, efficient desk clerks to the on-the-ball food service folks, this was a very nice visit for us on Christmas Eve and Day. The breakfast was fabulous -- offering both low carb and a carb lovers' delights. The bed has to be the most comfortable thing ever! Loved it and will definitely stay there again.

The bed was extra comfy. The room was very clean . The floors were wooden estradiol of carpet, which was a major plus.. The air conditioner worked great . The staff was very professional and friendly.

This Studio 6 was fabulous! The man who checked me in was super nice & friendly. The room was sparkling clean (and didn't smell like weed as many economy hotels do). The bed was comfortable, everything in the room was in excellent working condition, and the shower had great water pressure! That's really all I care about.

Room was clean & comfortable. Having coffee available would be nice but there was a McDonald’s next door so it was an easy way to get my coffee fix in the morning.

The room was clean and spacious, quiet at night, and had easy access to local places. It's not The Ritz, but plenty comfortable and the price was right!

This is an awesome place to stay!!! From the very beginning, the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Especially Mandy at the front desk, who is not only professional but very friendly. My room was very clean and the housekeepers assisted in whatever I needed.

Rooms are clean with a light, fresh scent (from cleaning). Beds are comfortable, not soft, not hard. Breakfast was warm, not hot, but tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider staying again if in the area

I was in town for an art show, and all we wanted was a clean place to sleep, the Tourway provides that. If you need coffee in the morning, you may want to bring a coffee maker, there is a nearby gas station that also has coffee.

This motel (drive to the door/easy unpack and reload) is exactly as advertised. Low cost, blocks from downtown, clean and comfy. Staff at checkin was friendly. Tougher part of downtown margin but comfortable…. Believed I was totally safe at all times. Stayed here on way to New Orleans and comfortably booked for a night on return trip.

Hotel was very clean, customer service was great, and check in and out was quick and easy. Was nice having microwave and fridge in the room. Area felt safe, and parking lot was well lit. I was in town for a concert at the Legacy Arena, and it was a quick uber ride there and back. Would have been easily walkable also. Hotel is a little dated, and could use some freshining up. But was perfect for an overnight stay for the concert.

We stayed at Tourway Inn for two nights, while we did touristy things in Birmingham. It provided us with a clean and quiet stay. The staff is wonderful. However, this property needs lots of work--electrical outlets in functional places, bedding that fits the mattress, some sort of towel bar in the bathroom (besides inside the shower), a blanket on the bed, etc. None of these issues were more than annoyances to us, however, and we were grateful for the low price. We'd probably return if back in Birmingham.

Perfect inexpensive place to stay if going to a concert at the BJCC. Check in was very pleasant and friendly. Only 2 suggestions, get new beds, they are very hard and my back was hurting from it the next day. Second, a snack and a soda machine next to the ice machine. There aren't any gas stations/restaurants nearby. Being able to get a small snack at any hour would be nice and also profitable I am sure.

The rooms were clean, I shower and nap for few hours during traveling for work. The bed was clean and comfortable. Very hot water in shower.

Staff was friendly. Rooms were decent. Not the best room and it's a little pricey. But the beds were clean and comfortable , they have guests laundry , a pool , breakfast, all the guest facilities work and that alone is rare. I would definitely refer people here and stay here again In the future.

The staff was friendly and the entire process took under 5 minutes. While this is not fancy accommodations, it is more than adequate. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room had a nice mid-size fridge and a microwave. The air conditioning worked well. The hotel requires a $100 deposit which can be paid on a credit card or in cash. I chose the cash option and that worked well. The cash was promptly returned to me at checkout. I felt that was better than waiting to have the money refunded to my card. I would recommend this property as a good value for the price.

I liked the fact that it had a full-sized refrigerator, a microwave, an iron, a coffee maker, and even a toaster. Also, both the gentleman who checked us in AND Paul Patel, the gentleman who checked us out were quite helpful and professional.

I liked that it was in a nice and quiet area. The room was spacious and very clean. The stay was affordable and I like that I was able to get my deposit back immediately after check out with no problems at all.

The location was great for my visit to U.B.A. HOSPITAL. The staff was very nice and polite. The rooms were clean and modern with some extras not expected like fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and Internet access. I was very impressed and was a great price.
