My room was pretty fabulous, plenty of space and a comfortable bed with a balcony and view of the town.

It was a pleasant experience. Quality bed and sheets, clean bathroom, good towels. Breakfast was great.

We stayed for 4 nights, 2 nights in room 12 and 2 in Bosque. Although Bosque is the larger room (suite) with a bit more privacy, we really liked room 12 which is at the end of the row of rooms on a corner. It’s a bit easier to keep warm and the bathroom has a door in the shower stall. A coffee maker in the room (which was in Bosque) would have been a nice addition. Both rooms are very clean and quit with a very comfortable bed. Furnishing in wood gives it a clean country feel. The rooms have a fantastic view over the forest, water and onto Castro. The location of OCIO is about 25 minutes outside Castro. The last part of the drive, maybe 10 minutes, is on a dirt road, doable with a regular car but a SUV makes it a bit easier. The location makes it very quiet but there are no shops or restaurants in the direct vicinity. The hotel restaurant is very good. It has a nice selection of seafood dishes that are well prepared. The pulpo is highly recommended. Breakfast is a buffet, with a good selection of bread, cheese, cereal, and egged made to order. Service is very personal and efficient, and several members of the staff speak English. We had a really good stay and would visit again if we’re on Chiloe island.

Visited the area at the end of summer....so little rain interruption. A boutique hotel nestled into a hillside forest. Rustic reception, dining and casual areas with modern capabilities. Unobstructed views of the bay and town. Walk along natural paths to stand-alone cabin/rooms. Each cabin is spacious and has views of the bay from each room and a private deck. The wonderful hosts arranged a guided boat tour of the bay. We walked down a path to the bay’s edge to board the board. In the evening, the hotel provided a wonderful fresh seafood buffet in a rustic house halfway down the hill towards the bay. Perfect for families or business offsite gatherings (have cabins set up for meetings). The staff are over-the-top attentive.

We loved staying here! As we drove away at the end of our stay, we were making plans to come back for a family trip. The view from the dining room was spectacular and the food was unbelievably good. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the natural, local items such as wool blanket and a collection of woolen dolls on display on the way to our room. Since the hotel is down a long dirt road, we were worried about having to drive "into town" to get dinner in case we did not like the food. Actually, at dinner, there is a "prix fix" menu which changes daily along the regular menu (you can order from both menus if you'd like). Turns out the food was so good and affordable that we had all our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. The dining room has a spectacular view. While there, I had a cold and so they made me tea with lemon/ginger/honey at our request and put it in a pot to bring back to our room-I appreciated the care and concern. Even though the hotel is not in the city of Castro, it is close to everything-the market in Dalcahue on Sundays and a famous café. I recommend following the map they will send you to get to the hotel using the southern (not the northern approach) approach to Dalcahue (W-55) off of Ruta 5 and then turning right at Rilan. If you do this, you will see all the signs they put on the road to get the hotel. We had a GPS which "gave up" once we got off the road-doesn't matter since the map and signs were super helpful.

We stayed here the last two nights and I can only recommend this place! It lies on the hills of the peninsula Rilan with a perfect view of Castro that lies on the other side of the sea! We had a standard room which is a super nice cottage, warm and cost with a perfect big window view - sleepy nights garantiere. Dinner was wonderful as was breakfast - especially the fruit platter! But the best was the top friendlyy service of all people here! Always there for you to help you with whatever you might need. We had a wonderful stay!

Our stay at OCIO was truly magical. From the moment we checked-in, you feel taken care of. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous. A perfect option for those who want to be out of the city, but close enough to venture out for a day trip or dinner. The grounds were so beautiful, we decided to cancel our plans the first night and relax at the hotel. The dinner at the restaurant was also world class, with an incredible view to match. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone traveling to Chiloé and will definitely be coming back.

Nous avons choisi l’hôtel sur la map de l’application mais à notre arrivée, l’adresse fourni par Hôtel.com était complètement à l’opposé de la ville. L’emplacement de l’hôtel n’est pas idéal, dans une zone industrielle et on doit conduire pour aller en ville. L’hôtel est très bien, le chambre très spacieuse et moderne, mais les matériaux laisse à désirer. Le plancher pourrait être lavé un peu plus souvent. Le déjeuner est très copieux et bon.

en general bien, solo que la radiador de calefacción esta en mal estado.

During my first trip to Chile, I ventured with friends south to Castro on Chiloe Island. The Hotel Unicornio Azul was a good find given the limitations of hotel space. The building is very pretty online, but up close, it shows its age. The entire staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were sparse and comfortable. The shower was hot and towels soft. Be prepared for a walk up many stairs if you have a preference for a room with a view. The breakfast was descent, though I would have liked fresh bread. The Hotel is a short walk to a wonderful coffee shop (Palafito Patagonia), to a water cruise, and the local souvenir market. The Hotel serves dinner, and there is nice fish restaurant across the street. A good walk up the hill to the city center and main church will take a little effort. Castro is a must visit location on Chiloe; hopefully the hotel inventory will improve with time.

I LOVED my stay at Hote Unicornio Azul. It is convenient to the town, markets and transportation while having a lovely waterfront view. The staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. We did not dine there except for breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet and options were plentiful.

We spent one night at this hotel. It has a very good location on the waterfront and across the street from a lovely restaurant. The room was large (we had a room on the very top floor, these have balconies and a great view) The bathroom was small and rather dimly lit. There is no elevator, but getting a room with a view is worth the climb. The breakfast buffet was ample with yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee,cheeses and meats. In an area not known for great hotels, this is a more than adequate place to stay.

Customer service was excellent. Staff were really kind. Beds were comfy and view over the water was lovely. There was an empañada stall right across the road and a restaurant next door, both of which were tasty and excellent value.

Nice, cosy and quirky hotel room, with traditional study decor and arquitecture. Good breakfast with the basics and really comfortable beds.

This hotel is excellent!! Love the sustainability program and its efforts to make it more eco-friendly. The room was well-heated, and the balcony was great. You have to make a reservation if you want to use the Tinaja, but it is completely worth it, and they give you a reasonable amount of time! - Don't forget to have dinner in the restaurant; the menu was phenomenal! The breakfast in the morning was good too.

The location is absolutely amazing. The hotel and staff are wonderful. The whole experience is FANTASTIC. The view from the dining room and living room is like a fairy tale, as the view form the rooms, absolutely mind-blowing!

Buena experiencia en el Hotel… lo único que podría señalar que puede mejorar es en el SPA, tenían los jacuzzi funcionando solo como si fueran piscinas ya que los chorros que diferencian a estos no estaban en condiciones y parece llevan bastante tiempo sin una buena mantención que corrija ello.

Fue una buena estadía. Pase muy bien y disfrute mucho del hotel. Buena piscina, tinajas y jacuzzi. Los restaurante son buenos también, el casino es chico y en los fines de semana tienes algunas atracciones que puede ser musical o de comedia.

The hotel is behind the casino, so just enter casino off of 5 highway. The room had a large window that gave us a great view of the water. Included jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and indoor pool. (you need a head cap.) It also included free access to casino. (The tributes are just a kind of karaoke.) Overall, great experience.

Nos quedamos una noche junto a nuestro hijo de un año… disfruto de las piscinas, jacuzzi y tinajas. Desayuno muy variado. La calefacción o aire acondicionado sonaba extraño y pasamos frío. Mejoraría la limpieza más profunda, pudimos encontrar algunas telarañas en rincones. Las tinajas deben ser reservadas y las personas no respetan el horario y el personal tampoco se preocupa de que las personas se retiren cuando ya es la hora. Además, personas se metian sin reservar. El segundo día quedamos sin tinaja a pesar de haber reservado y no había nadie en recepción.

This modern hotel shares its location with a Casino which upon arrival can be quite daunting but although connected, the hotel is to the rear of the building and causes no disturbance. The room was large and spacious with an amazing view of the estuary. Our bed was large and comfy but room design probably not to our taste being lots of exposed concrete. There are two restaurants on site, one catering for breakfast and everyday type food such as pizza etc whilst the other seemed more up market international food. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner menus good but no sadly no English translation. Wine by the glass menu was equally confusing. The car park easily handles the number of guests. Three feature hot tubs on the outside deck, of varying temperatures very popular for those guests using the indoors dip pools. Staff were friendly and helpful. We are Spanish speaking and really enjoyed the stay but more English translations of menus and info would have been helpful. Chiloe is a beautiful island- hire a car and explore. It is within a short distance of the colourful houses on stilts, Palafitos. Everywhere on the island are wooden churches. The penguins in Punihuil were amazing, just a two hours drive away. Here you take a boat from the beach for the equivalent price of £7 each. Overall a good standard of hotel, well located at a reasonable price.

I had a wonderful stay at Palafito 1326 Hotel Boutique in Chiloé, where I spent 6 nights. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful design. I especially enjoyed having direct access to the terrace, where I could relax while watching the birds and the river. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. Just a short walk from the hotel, there’s also a lovely restaurant where I had dinner every evening. I can fully recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chiloé!

Palafito 1326 Hotel Boutique Chiloé was a delightful and charming boutique hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean with a lovely view of the inlet. The breakfast was very good with eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt and freshly baked buns and cake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to find street parking, but also had the option of parking in a private lot across the street for additional cost. We ate dinner at the lovely restaurant next door. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The view from the look was lovely, overlooking the bay and mountains. We were lucky to see the almost-full moon too and the moon light reflecting on the water was delightful. The room was cozy and spacious. It was slightly odd to have the basin in the room (instead of the bathroom) but it wasn't such a problem. Nice hot water shower after a long day out. The breakfast was great - lots of options like yogurt with muesli, bread, cake, eggs, coffee, cheese and more! The kitchen staff was very friendly and warm too. It's just a short walk (bit uphill) from the main square and all the restaurants!

It was great fun to stay at this culturally unique, palafito hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful and hospitable. Front desk staff was on duty for a long day and so readily available when we had needs. The breakfast was excellent: the space and the food which was scratch made and real. Dinner on site was good. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. Business room was spacious and functional. We needed wifi to arrange later aspects of our trip and this space sufficed. Location was good for our day trips to park hiking on Chiloe

Very nice small boutique hotel in Castro, the view from the room is beautiful and the beds are soft and warm. The staff is very nice and helpful , with a good and tasty breakfast with a lot of options. The hotel restaurant is also a good with an exceptional view of the bay.

Staff friendly, very clean and good breakfast, in addition front to the hostal one big supermarket .A little bit far from Castro center 27 minutes walking from bus station, but a lot public transport going over there, colectivos (Linea 8, 7, 6, 4, 77 etc just tell to them could you bring me to the supermarket superbodega Acuenta

Very friendly staff! I enjoyed eating their simple but filling breakfast of bread, ham, cheese, and cereal with yogurt. I also appreciated how well-kept the room was.

They gave me a nice, clean and quiet room, accepting to change the first one.

There is heating in the room, it was clean, and great value for money.

A large, clean, gorgeous property! Super comfortable bed, a large kitchenette, and a private deck, on stilts, jutting right out into the bay, with million-dollar views! An amazing place to stay.

The location is excellent, a palifito directly on the water with a view and an outdoor balcony. The room was modern, spacious and clean. All around excellent.

Staff were super friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations for overcrowded insane Castro on a Friday night. The tide going in and out was a fun phenomena to witness. What sells this place is that it was quiet and on the water and SO AFFORDABLE!!! Great price for 3 separate cabins for our group of 11.

The location was awesome, beautiful & peaceful, we had a car so was 10 mins drive to Castro, which was busy, glad we could escape at night. Loved watching the birds both in the morning and then coming home at dusk. Air con worked well & bed was comfy. Room wasnt big but was far from small, never heard neighbours through walls & was clean. Owner was super nice, cheerful with a pleasant temperament & smile, spoke good English and was more than willing to assist. The place is more than safe 🥰

We have been welcomed warmly by the person at the reception. The bungalow were really cute, clean with all we needed. And the view on the lake was amazing. We had such a good time staying here and recommend this. +: the balcony over the lake and the bbq

Location is a little outside town a short way up a narrow dirt road so having your own car would be preferable. As expected the palafito is over the water, so you can watch the birds as the tides ebb and flow. Office is at the top of the hill and there's a paved road down to the cabins, which are detached. Inside is everything you need for cooking simple meals, a comfortable dining area and two bedrooms. Everything was clean and tidy. It's set up for longer stays than our single night. There's a BBQ on the deck but I didn't see any coals or wood for it, but then we didn't ask either. Beds were comfortable and shower was great. Parking is right outside the door.

Alma Chilota is an excellent boutique hotel in Castro, with the bonus of giving guests the experience of staying in a palafito. The staff were very welcoming, and always ready to answer questions or help provide recommendations. The room was spotless, and the linens were fresh, and clean, and smelled amazing. The bathroom was a little bit tight for my tall husband, but it was also clean and the water was hot with great pressure. Breakfast offerings were fairly extensive for such a small hotel, and included meat, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, bread & toast, sweet cakes, and eggs cooked to order. Coffee was always hot and ready to go around the clock, and hot water and hot milk were also available for tea drinkers. Watching the sea lions and dolphins play in the fjord was also amazing. Several excellent dinner locations are located just a few steps away along the same road.

Lovely setting, right on the waterfront in a traditional hotel with modern furnishings and attention to detail on the interior design - lots of artwork etc. Very helpful & patient lady at the front desk - we don’t speak much spanish but she was very patient with us and took time to translate things and explain slowly! Breakfast was great, fresh fruit, cake, granola & freshly cooked eggs - all whilst sat around a table designed to look like a boat and with a fantastic view. Room was comfortable, bathroom was very small but had good, modern and clean shower, sink & toilet.

Everything is good! If you want a warm fresh cook breakfast (eggs menu) the owner will make it for you on request or sometime she will ask before hand. The decorations are very chic. And the room is so cozy with a very comfortable bed and stunning view that you can go out to feel the fresh clean air outside on the balcony.

We booked this hotel for a little romantic getaway. OMG, wow! After spending most of my time in Patagonia staying in campgrounds and hostels, this was on a whole other level. A beautiful wooden hotel on stilts, beautifully decorated. Our room was gorgeous, with an amazing water view—pure luxury. The dining area was just as impressive, with a real wooden boat converted into a table. And the breakfast? Incredible. So many options for every taste. The staff was super friendly, and we even had a little mishap—forgotten backpack at the hotel. They handled it so well, sending it by courier to our next destination super quickly. Honestly, an amazing place. Highly recommend!

We selected the room "Deluxe King suite". The view from your bed is just "wow". The room is big, the bed very comfy and you've 2 sofas to just sit and enjoy the view. Breakfast is homemade and delicious. Once there, you won't want to leave. There are 1 or 2 restaurants accessible by foot. Otherwise, it is advisable to take the car to go out for dinner.

We had a room on the top floor looking at the water. It felt even more pleasant and cosy than the photos. Everything was clean and well maintained. Shower and wifi were decent. The hosts kept our belongings safe in their apartment when we went for a multi day camping trip, but it would be even better if they had a cupboard to put the bags.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. Daily cleaning service. Nice, warm blankets. The tiny kitchen could be used in turns but it was tidy and ideal to prepare tea or something small to eat.

Very centrally located however the city center and bus station is on top of the hill, so it is steep to go up there. Nice comfortable room, small but good for one person. Good equipped kitchen. Very nice view out of the window.

We enjoyed a double room for 3 nights on 2nd floor with a great view over the water front. It really was one of the best hotel views we have had in s-america. Rooms are basic, but ok.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was lovely since the beginning, the room was cozy and warm, the food at the restaurant was delicious and always available, and it was great to have facilities like sauna and swimming pool after a long day out. (Breakfast was delicious too). The internet was fast and available from all the places of the hotel, which is great for people who travel for work. The location was more than excellent, having the main places very close, like Castro Cathedral, many cafes and restaurants, crafts fair, and the coast.

Breakfast was very good; fresh fruit, tasty scrambled eggs and good coffee. Nice staff. Location very central in Castro - yet quiet- and the hotel had its own parking ground. Overall good value for what we paid.

The Hotel de Castro is well located in the center of Castro with a nice view. The rooms are quite spacious. The dinner was excellent, the breakfast very good. The employee at reception was very friendly, they helped us with the baggage.

It is the nicest cabana we have stayed in Chiloe! There is a wonderful view. You can walk down to the water. The cabana is comfortable. We love seeing the rising sun and rising moon that reflects off the water.

Beautiful countryside and beach alongside the cabin, kayaks available for $5 CLP, wooden hot tub attached to cabin for rent! Our favorite part were the animals (cows, sheep & cats) that became our friends!
