My husband and I were in Cedar Rapids to welcome our new grandchild. This property was perfect for our 4-night stay. The suite (king bed with sofa sleeper, large work area, fridge and microwave in wet bar area) was clean, comfortable and spacious. The decor was low-key and soothing. There were numerous nice little extras: plenty of outlets, several table lamps in addition to overhead lighting, extra shelves in the bathroom, etc. Hot breakfast was good, with some variety. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, courteous and accomodating. The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The breakfast area was clean and I always appreciate the complimentary breakfast and coffee and hot water for tea etc. The lady working the breakfast area was very polite and helpful. The carpet in my room needed vacuuming. Other than that, the room was clean.

What a wonderful stay! I have nothing but good to say about this Hampton Inn. The front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We had a young small dog; they were so welcoming to him also. We wanted a first-floor room, and they were able to get that worked out for us. Speaking of the room - it was immaculate, and I am very picky as I stay at Disney hotels on site, and they are always immaculate. Most hotels can't live up to those standards, but this hotel certainly did. The breakfast was very good. It was ready on time (which was not our experience at previous hotels this trip). The food was good, hot, presented well. There was a great variety of hot and cold foods- eggs, sausage, hot oatmeal, toast, muffins. The eating area was very clean, and the morning attendant was very helpful. We were able to get breakfast at 6 am which also was great as we had to leave early and were able to eat instead of having to stop along the way. There was hot coffee and several varieties always available i the lobby. We will stay at this hotel again in the future when we visit relatives! Thank you for an exceptional stay!!

I like the location since it it close to shopping and access to the interstate is close. I appreciate the free breakfast since many hotels don’t offer it. I love that there is coffee, tea, and hot chocolate offered at the entrance. I also love that bottled water is offered upon check-in. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The young man at the front desk (I apologize for not knowing his name) does an excellent job and is very attentive. He has checked us in with previous stays and consistently does a great job. Our room was very clean as well.

We stayed here on our first night, of a four week western trip; great start. Our check-in was welcoming and efficient. The facility is clean and well-maintained. Our room was comfortable, spacious and provided a nice respite after our first day of travel. The complimentary breakfast was standard; nothing fancy, but decent enough to fuel one up for getting back on the road. If we find ourselves back in the area; we would definitely return here for our lodging.

Very accommodating, they let me check in early due to storm. Room was clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly. Location was convenient. Bathroom was updated and clean. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was the bed side clock would shut off every time you shut the main light off.

Front desk staff was very friendly & helpful. Property is a little beat up but relatively quiet & comfortable bed. Lots of fast food & restaurants, convenience stores nearby.

Our stay at this hotel was okay ... the room was clean and comfortable. I especially liked the amenities available in the room, except that the coffee maker did not work. The breakfast, however, was nothing to brag about. It was the same every day for one thing. The scrambled eggs were spongy and flavorless, and we wondered if the meat patties were actually made of meat. But, the staff was friendly.

Brenda checked us in and she’s really nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed at different hotels during this long trip and this is actually one of the good hotels that we stayed in. Breakfast selection was good. We were in a hurry to leave but we were able to bring lots of good packed breakfast with us.

Everything was great, except the jacuzzi was not working. That was a bummer.

The hotel is older but kept up well. The staff was very friendly and we had the best hotel breakfast we had experienced since pre-Covid. The rooms were clean and quiet. We would definitely book here again. The only downfall was we were in town for a tournament and had been sitting in bleachers all day. We were really looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub but it was broken. Overall, we still really enjoyed our stay.

The desk attendant was very pleasant, the lobby was clean and decked out for the Christmas season. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. My only complaint was a firm mattress, but for one night it was fine. We all have different preferences so not a huge issue. Breakfast was also good with a good selection to appease even the pickiest eater.

We had THE BEST STAY. The gentleman that checked us in on July 12th was so nice. He greeted us with a smile and we established some rapport. The water pressure was absolutely amazing. It was nice to have the hot shower after a 16 hour drive. The bed was nice and soft. The gentleman working this morning (the 13th) was very nice too. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to SD. Thank you for an amazing stay. The smooth check in, the texts, this was great customer service.

On-site staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with decent variety. Waffle maker, scrambled eggs, brown and serve sausage, biscuits and gravy. Plus bread/toast, bagels, prepackaged muffins, milk, oj, Apple juice, yogurt. Food was plentiful. The property was in decent condition overall, but was a bit shabby in the room. Bathroom had stained shower curtain and towels. Cracked plaster over shower, screw holes in walls, sink faucet missing an aerator. Small issues but just looks a bit worn down. That said, the room was clean and comfortable. Quiet even though it is in a busy part of town. Near restaurants and shopping. Easy to find and well lit parking. The price was very reasonable. One issue was that the online check-in said earliest check-in was 4pm and checkout was 12pm. Turns out check-in was 3pm; checkout was 11am. That’s Wyndham’s fault. Not the property’s. (Maybe call the property if you want to know the accurate checkin/checkout times.

The room had a huge jacuzzi tub 2 people fit in it with room to spare. Also it had an electric fireplace. Hot tub was out of order..which was a bummer. But the pool stayed open midnight.

We had a great stay! The staff were friendly, the jacuzzi in our room was nice, and the bed was comfy! The room was clean and well maintained. We didn’t get to use the hot tub or pool because there were a lot of kids in there later at night, but it was okay. Would definitely recommend staying here and will come back!!

Rooms were very clean and bed was super comfortable. Had a nice clean white comforter that looked fresh and modern. Pool area was kept clean and fully stocked with towels and had plenty of chairs and tables to relax around. Front desk lady was friendly and suggested a great place to eat near by. Check in was hassle free and fast. Continental breakfast was very good and had a nice variety of options. I especially liked the extra touches like the strawberry preserves for the pancakes or the slices of cheese so you could make a nice sausage, egg and cheese bagel. The room price was very affordable for such a great place. Would definitely recommend it.

We checked in Saturday night and Ryan at the front desk was an absolute sweetheart, he was so so nice. Our room was on the second floor, all of the finishes and furniture look updated and very clean. Our room was great! Mini fridge, microwave and Keurig with coffee pods was a nice touch. Nice comfy king sized bed with good pillows and linens. Large bathroom had a tub/shower, plenty of linens and even a hair dryer. The room was fresh and clean, not stale, and not overly smelly from cleaners/air freshener type smells. Breakfast the next morning was a super surprise. Katrina was the one who prepared breakfast and it was amazing! Biscuits and gravy, bacon and cheese omelets and they were really good. There was a ton of other food also, cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, a pancake machine and cereal plus more. We didn’t dig into the other amenities that it had to offer there, but the basics that we used were perfect. We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

My wife and I stayed three nights while visiting friends in Hiawatha. The location is convenient; close to highways and a few minutes' drive from downtown Cedar Rapids. The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated, so the rooms were clean and comfortable. The Wifi strength and speed was decent in our room (I successfully did a day's remote work from the hotel without interruption). Breakfast had pastries, fruit and a couple of hot options. Parking is available right out front. There's a small indoor pool, which we saw but didn't use. One thing: if you book through a third party like hotels.com they won't let you claim IHG reward points (I tried), you have to book directly. But you can earn hotels.com rewards instead, so consider which loyalty program is best for your circumstances. For the price bracket and hotel class, it was what we expected and we were very happy; we'll probably stay again next time we visit.

This is a really nice Holiday Inn Express. The 5 stars is for this tier of hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was recently updated and had plenty of plugs & USB ports for devices. The coffee maker is a Keurig. Beds & pillows were very comfortable and actual queen size. Breakfast was good quality. Sitting area was small but definitely manageable. I will definitely stay here again next time thru.

This place was absolutely perfect for an overnight stay in Cedar Rapids. Conveniently located, clean, and easy check in. The gal working the front desk was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning had great options, including hot eggs. The gentleman working breakfast was fantastic and on top of keeping food stocked and tables clean. I like their bathroom are very nice, hot water and cold water are easily to get. The staff were very friendly and the towels are very clean and I like their breakfast was delicious.

The room was clean, the hot tub was clean and the bedding was clean. It was quite noisy at night but for the money we paid for the room it was to be expected. All these other reviews complaining about stuff really seems like they are expecting a five star hotel with two star hotel prices. The tv worked, lots of channels too. The fridge and microwave were clean and both worked. The parking lot was well lit and we were able to park right outside of our room window so we were able to look out and see our car.

I have stayed for extended periods of time at this motel when I have had business in Cedar Rapids. I have found the rooms quite clean and comfortable. What I love about the place the most is the people that work there. So accommodating, efficient, helpful, and kind. They go above and beyond. I also would like to give a shout out to Melissa and Nicole, very professional and hard working!

We've never stayed here, family in the area....we WILL be back! Staff were friendly, bed was amazingly comfortable. Sheets were SO soft! We had a king bed, so room is small, but they might great use of space. Shower was great! It's quiet...and in a nice party of the city. Breakfast was good. Not a fan of powdered eggs, but still has protein. Please leave the cheese off for those who are lactose intolerant. Would be super nice to have gluten free options, but we survived. Staff were super nice, even as we were leaving and coming off of the elevator....she might have been with housekeeping, said, "Thanks for staying with us and have a great day!" Wow! Excellent customer service. I might suggest when you have a volleyball team staying there, have more help for the breakfast bar. They cleaned it up and everyone else waited awhile. Really, other than that, this place is amazing. Other hotel chains should take lessons from Tru!

Overall this was a nice hotel - seemed very new, modern amenities, and really fun, colorful decor. There were drinks and snacks available in the lobby, free coffee and a free breakfast as well. The downfalls for me were the really noisy air conditioner, and no coffee maker in our room. The a/c unit kept my husband awake for a large part of the night. I always like to make a cup of coffee first thing when I wake up, so I was kind of bummed to not have one handy. There were restaurants and some shopping nearby so the location wasn’t bad. Plenty to do in the area! Overall it was a good stay.

Shawn at the front desk was terrific! We were able to check in early, he was very welcoming, helpful and ensured a great visit. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great customer service, great breakfast, clean and stylish rooms.

At first glance the hotel is bright and lively. The exterior and interior was decorated in bright, modern colors and accessories. The beds were super comfortable. The shower had great pressure, the towels were so soft! And the soaps provided were delicious! They were moisturizing and smelled amazing.

My husband and I had our wedding reception and rehearsal dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were so helpful throughout the entire planning process, and we were so happy with how the day turned out. They made everything very easy for us, allowing us to enjoy our day. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, along with the beverages we wanted. The hotel staff was very attentive the whole night, making sure everyone was taken care of. Many of our guests commented on how well the night went. The staff went above and beyond to send the hotel shuttle to pick us up on our way to the reception when we ran into transportation issues. My husband and I stayed at the hotel on our wedding night as well. The room was perfect. Everything was clean and well-kept. We were able to rest well after a busy day. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also very good. The Hilton Garden Inn helped us create a memorable wedding day. We'd highly recommend them for weddings and other events.

Parking was very easy. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. There are two elevators in working order, so we never had to wait a long time. The room was clean and nicely furnished. There were handy reading lamps and charging next to the bed, a mini fridge and a coffee station. The shower was spacious. Our mattress and pillows were comfortable. This is really important to me. Our room faced east, but the shade did a nice job of blocking out the morning sun. Noise from the hallway and other rooms was average. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel because it’s not complimentary, but we knew this in advance. We were very satisfied with the hotel overall.

We were in CR visiting family and spent 3 nights at this hotel. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel has an open lobby area for larger groups to gather. We did not check out the bar or the breakfast options. Small pool and fitness room available. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was convenient to have a dorm fridge and microwave available. Room doors are very heavy and noisy when allowed to slam shut (just FYI if you want to be considerate of other guests when arriving late/leaving early). We had a most comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Stayed one night and had a fantastic experience. The room was spacious and clean. The gym was surprisingly nice. There was one Peloton bike, a plyo box, rower, 3 treadmills, and plenty of weight training equipment. The gym was super clean and everything was rather new. The staff at breakfast couldn’t have been nicer. Buffet was $15 or you could order a La carte.

Fairly new. Modern Minimalist style room. Clean. All staff were very pleasant and friendly. Nice bar and happy hour. Food options is the same as other like Hilton Garden Inns. My only dissatisfaction was the food, the chicken wings were rubbery and the Caesar salad was saturated in dressing. Close to shopping and restaurants. I would stay again.

Seriously amazing! It was a bit of a walk to the pool and to breakfast… but totally worth having the honeymoon suite in the basement! Our own personal sauna (could definitely fit 8 people in there) , jacuzzi (comfortable for tall people) and a double rain shower head (with plenty of room for two).

Nice place with a very good restaurant attached. The layout of the buildings is odd, but once you walk around, it work. Loved having a Sauna along with hotub and pool. If we had kids, the gaming area would have been fun for them. It was a quiet evening when we were there.

I will be back! The sauna and jacuzzi are perfect!!!! The staff is SO NICE! Even the housekeepers are sweet!

We stayed at the Best Western for three nights while in town for a sporting event our daughter played in. It was very clean, super comfortable beds, spacious rooms, fairly good breakfast. Great amenities--we utilized the laundry facility, the pool &.hottub, & even enjoyed the video games and billiards! It was a great value & very quiet. We would definitely stay here again in the future! And the Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing! My daughter & her boyfriend from San Diego both agreed that it rivals any authentic Mexican food they've had in SoCal!

I've stayed at this property occasionally over the years. It is large, perfect for meetings, family get togethers, group activities, or individual stays. It offers a variety of room types, from small to large, and offers a multi-story pool and fun area that is perfect for families, with adjacent pool rooms in one of the buildings. With two buildings that are connected by a walkway, the pool area also serves as the breakfast area with hot and cold offerings for all guests (included in the room rate). Although not located near an interstate highway, there are many retail options in the general area, making it a nice location for a weekend getaway, as well as convenient to many businesses in the area. Property is well-built, well-maintained, and appears to have been recently renovated, with rooms showing little-to-no wear and updated amenities (such as the TV), although the property has been a mainstay in the area for years. The in-house restaurant, which was a popular location for Happy Hour food and drink specials for years has been recently replaced with a Mexican restaurant that has garnered good reviews. Although I've not eaten there yet (it just hasn't worked out), I always get one drink there to finish off the day. I've stayed here several times during the past year and plan to stay again soon!

I've stayed here 4 or 5 times as travels take me into Cedar Rapids, and it's always been a good stay! First, its an aesthetically pleasing hotel, both the lobby and the rooms. The rooms all have floor-to-ceiling windows with fun views of the city. More importantly, the staff is always friendly, helpful, and accommodating; everyone from the front desk to the bar/restaurant staff. I ordered room service for breakfast as I was a bit hung over and needed some nourishment. I ordered a bit after the cut-off time, yet the answer was not 'no', rather, he checked to see if there was still anyone in the kitchen, and there was, and I got my hang-over food! There are just two suggestions I would make: Consider a "bellboy" to take luggage up to the room as the parking garage (included in stay) is located across the street (although there is a walkway). And, part of the joy of room service (as opposed to food "delivery") is that you get to eat your meal off of a real plate with real silverware, etc. I've noticed the last couple of times I've ordered room service, the food arrives in take-out boxes (this is obviously not a show-stopper or all that important; just a suggestion). The restaurant and bar are on the top floor, and again, have floor to ceiling windows offering great views. The bar is well stocked and the food is always good. This is a really great, under-appreciated hotel.

The hotel is located in a good position close to many restaurants and bars. The staff were helpful and friendly and one of the staff gave us a little bit of the history of Cedar Rapids which was very interesting. The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed a drink in the hotel bar which is lovely and had views over the city. The breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed a tasty omelette which was made to order. Parking was easily available with a car park being located across the road which was reasonably priced. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

This was my 5th/6th time staying here and this place always rocks. It is completely under-appreciated/under-rated. There's a restaurant and cool bar on the top floor with floor to ceiling windows and cool views on either side. The lobby is new/clean/nice-looking. And you can walk around most of downtown CR via the walkways. The rooms also have floor-to-ceiling windows with awesome views. Rooms have always been clean/comfortable for my stays. Only two suggestions: Valet/bell-hop as the parking garage is across the street (again, accessible by over-street walkway). Bring back old-school room svc. One of the beauties of room-service is the presentation (tray, little tiny ketchups, little tiny salt n peppers...... :-) ) The last few times I've ordered room svc, it's just been to-go boxes and kinda thrown in there. Obviously, very minor complaints; place is great!

Bonnie at the front desk is exceptional. She is very friendly, patient, kind and knowledgeable. I am disabled and she went beyond expectations from the first booking phone call through checkout to assure my needs and comfort were met. She was always smiling and happy. The room was clean and inviting and the total room darkening window shade as well as the quiet atmosphere were both inducements to deep, restful sleep. Being able to plug in my cell phone charger on the bedside table lamp base was a real plus as well as having decaf coffee in the room.

We had a great experience! Check in and check out was quick and both were so friendly! My room was extremely clean and everything look immaculate. Sheets and towels smelled clean. Safe area! Restaurants and gas station so closed. If I travel to this area I definitely would stay here again! 100% recommended

Good location in cedar rapids near markets, restaurants and shops. The price was affordable for what you get. Breakfast could be better. There is a Mexican restaurant in their parking lot so options are available for lunch and dinner pretty good restaurant.

The receptionist that checked us in was not very friendly. Breakfast if very minimal. Waffles yogurt,cereal,bannana,and juices. Coffee tasted sour. Pool was ok. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Its location gave us easy access to the interstate. Also, restaurants and stores were not a far drive for us.

The staff were great as we checked in, morning breakfast crew were fantastic. And as we walked to our room the housekeeping gals were nice and greeted us. The room was clean and relaxing. My only complaint was the humidity in the room made our bedding feel damp. But it has been terribly hot and humid in Iowa. My husband is in a band and they gave us a room at the end of the hall near the side exit. Made it so easy to come in late night and not bother anyone. Will come back for sure!

A couple minor issues were immediately resolved by front desk staff going above and beyond to reward me extra member points and an upgraded room. I was content enough to stay but they insisted on making it more than right. Clean common areas, rooms, and a comfortable bed for my lady and me to be in peace .

The hotel was clearance beds were super comfy and the full spread of breakfast was amazing! Would definitely stay here again!

My husband I were out on a road trip and just needed a place to stay for the night. My complaints aren't really with the hotel. Everything was clean and stocked. There were plenty of pillows and the bed was comfy. Not as comfy as my bed at home but very açceptable. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. We walked to Wendy's to get something to eat. There were several choices of dining within walking distance. We just wanted something quick and easy. Breakfast was the general hotel free breakfast. Cereal, toast, waffles, fruit (that seemed fresh), yogurt, juice, coffee. My complaints really aren't the fault of the hotel but I'm supposed to rate my stay. The people in the room above us were heavy walkers and seemed to drop a lot of stuff. But once we went to sleep I didn't notice it anymore. The main complaint is that there was a biker convention or something like that going on and very loud motorcycles kept showing up all night long and kept waking me up. Again, I realize the hotel employees don't have control over how people walk, how clumsy they are, or what the customer drives but those are things I would have to weigh when choosing a place to stay next time.

A good price for a no-frills hotel. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the friendly, helpful staff. The queen-sized bed was very comfortable. The only thing lacking in our room was a light fixture in the entryway - so had to fumble a bit when we came in after dark. The breakfast was also no-frills, but provided everything we needed. The breakfast area was extremely well-maintained with plenty of seating. The hotel is surrounded by restaurant options (mostly fast food,) and it’s easy to drive to either the airport or downtown Cedar Rapids.

Great hotel for an overnight stay. Room was very clean. Bathroom small, but clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. The a/c was a bit noisy, but kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was mostly cold & limited. Coffee was allowed to run completely out in the morning. Staff was friendly & efficient.

Very clean facilities. Bed comfortable. Front desk staff excellent. Breakfast good with waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt and hot coffee. Location perfect with places within walking distance to eat. Very good Mexican restaurant across street from Inn. We stayed here on our way to Wisconsin and liked it so much that we stayed here on our way home.

I would recommend this hotel. The room is wonderful and spacious. The little kitchen with a dishwasher is really nice. The bed is very comfortable, including the pillows and sheets. Very soft. The room felt really clean, besides some attention to detail lacking in the bathtub, and kitchen trash can. One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing the previous guests hairs, and bits of food. Luckily my husband cleans the shower thoroughly for me at every hotel we stay in for my peace of mind. I always bring my own dust buster, paper towels, disinfecting spray and trash bags. But I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the room and the air conditioning system is nice plus two big windows that open slightly. I also really like all the different lighting options in the room. The Paul Mitchell mini toiletries were also a nice touch. My dog and cat were comfortable here. I also did laundry in the laundry room, it was generally clean. A little leftover lint and hair from previous users but thats what you get using public laundry. Overall it was fine for about $175 per night.

Short trip to visit a local college in Cedar Rapids. We arrived very early and requested an early check in. The staff was able to accommodate us without any pause. I’m so thankful to the staff who went beyond for us. The location & parking lot were quiet, well illuminated & safe. The room was amazing- clean and cozy. All staff were friendly and helpful. This exceeded my expectations. Will stay here again when I drop my kid off at college in the Fall.

I really liked the set up of the room, it was very comfortable. I was a little upset with cleanliness of the shower. There was hair in the shower. There was a broken coffee cup, which didn't not it was broke until I used it, and coffee leaked every where. It was cracked all the way down the handle. The dishes where still in dishwasher so was not sure if clean or not so rewashed them. The bed was very comfortable and again really liked the set up of the room. Also fridge was turned on high so it froze everything we put in there.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room. Plenty of room. Fridge and microwave were very clean. They provided everything needed to prepare meals. It was nice and quiet. Close to department stores and many restaurants. The parking lot was a little small, but luckily it wasn't packed during our stay. The pool seemed a little green, but the surface didn't feel slick or slimy, so I don't think it was algae. It could have just been the color of the pool. It felt clean. It smelled clean. No strong chlorine smell.

The breakfast buffet was great! The room was spacious and clean! The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating!

We stayed in a standard queen bed room. Location was safe unless you worry about a plane crashing. We could hear a couple of jet engines but not that loud. This is not a busy airport. The room was perfect for 2 just staying overnight. Shower only but it had a non slip floor and grab bar . The bed and towels were good quality. The TV was a 46 in I think and actually seemed too big for the room , unusual ! Fitness room well equipped and had dumbbells and bench. We had a breakfast meeting elsewhere, but I did check out the offerings. They were somewhat disappointing. Probably for a budget motel about average , but below average for what I consider a mid range location. Without a food service license it is hard to make available good eggs. So if you want a real breakfast go to a restaurant. There are none around though. Unless you are at a luxury $ 200 a night place don't expect much of a breakfast. As a hotel is is very good and would stay again.

This is our second stay in four months at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Cedar Rapids. We actually had a room booked at a nearby hotel, took one look, and ditched it for this place. Rooms are spacious and clean, pool is fantastic for the tweens, and breakfast - not fabulous - gets the job done. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. My daughter and I were so happy to see Lamaria again, and she actually remembered us! We will definitely be booking this place next time we need to be near the Cedar Rapids airport.

We held our corporate meeting here and had all of our people stay at the hotel as well. Our experience was excellent due to the manager Deanna! She made sure check in was easy and quick! She helped to make sure our stay was comfortable and made sure the conference room had everything we needed for our meeting. The rooms were spacious and clean. The warm breakfast was good and they made accommodations for us to eat our lunch in the breakfast area. Thank you Deanna for the wonderful experience!

Very nice and clean. Shower was amazing. The breakfast was amazing also. Homemade sausage gravy scrambled eggs etc. The price was great too. Less than $150 on a Friday night that I only booked 2 days before!!!!

This hotel was convenient, being so close to the airport. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. A good value for the$. What I was disappointed about was that an ev charger was listed as a amenity. When I got to the chargers, it said 30$! Also, no "ev only" parking signs, so an non ev was taking the parking spot!

Hotel was VERY busy, full of different types of kids teams and adults, but hotel handled it pretty well. Could have asked them to quiet down more in the late evening while they were all congregating in the foyer and breakfast dining room. But fortunately they were not rooming by us and it was quiet for sleeping. Breakfast was also busy which wasn't a surprise, but they kept thing pretty well stocked. Waffles were "chocolate" flavored - skipped those as didn't sound good at all. But for other hot foods they had biscuits and gravy and came out with different meats regularly - sausage patty, links, and bacon. Hotel and rooms were decorated nicely and beds were comfy. Room looked very clean other than noticeable skimping on vacuuming under beds because a few small things were under the bed like a pen, money and peanut shell - nothing gross, just obvious. Pool was fine, hot tub worked. Pleasant staff. In a very commercial industry area kind of squeezed in. Next to the highway, but not loud. There was a walking path nearby, a strange place for a walking path, but would be something extra to do.

I recommend this place for anyone traveling through Cedar Rapids,Hiawatha and Marion area. This place is clean and quiet. The employees are amazing, friendly and very helpful. Kudos to Lisa and Nesha. Thank you!

This hotel was immaculate. I had read a review about the beds and they were comfortable as reviewed. The hotel was quiet, clean and peaceful. The owners were on site and went above and beyond. Other hotels should take notice and follow their lead.

Nevertheless, their nasty behavior momentarily kept us from experiencing all the greatness this RI has going for it: Screened windows that open for a breeze… a Grab ‘n Go breakfast that featured milk cartons, really delicious home-made breakfast bran-cookies, fruit, water and protein bars… an ice machine in the lobby… free weights in the fitness room… a big indoor pool (ask about availability on both of those)… and best of all, a take-charge GM in Angie who knows Marriott wants the best possible hotel experience for all its guests. Good show, Angie! P.S. Don’t smoke here unless you bring your wallet.

Front desk staff was friendly and informative. Room was comfy and the kitchenette was fantastic - it even had utensils, bowls, plates, can opener, etc... It also had a dishwasher, which was a nice touch. We eat out when traveling, but often overnight we like to cook or snack and this was perfect for us. It also had a separate sitting area with another tv and couch. Loved that as my partner and I often have different sleeping habits. I also liked how the sink wasn't inside the actual bathroom. I could get ready while he showered without all the humidity.

The hotel staff was excellent and very accomodating. They didn't have the bar open during the week and there is not a restaurant on sight, but the breakfast was simple and adequate. It was a very enjoyable stay. Great price. clean. Nice staff.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was quite impressed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the hotel is in a convenient location. The hotel is relatively close to the Amana Colonies and very convenient to Cedar Rapids. I was quite happy to stay at this hotel.

We arrived late at night with a bunch of little kids and were able to get two rooms from Kayla at the front desk (who was very, very nice). Rooms were comfortable and clean. Shower was awesome. Room had fridge, microwave, etc. Breakfast was good, but warning-coffee is very very hot. Overall, a great value for the money!

There are quite a few restaurants in the area but the great thing about the hotel is the fact they serve dinner as well! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back when I am in the Cedar Rapids area.

I love that they serve dinner. The lasagna is delicious! The beds are so comfy. I also like being able to work out whenever on their gym. The staff is super friendly. I was able to have my cat stay with me, too!

The staff are friendly and professional. They're located near restaurants and shopping if you want to go out somewhere. The breakfast is sort of upgraded Continental-there's something hot and cold, cereal, pastry, fruit, juice and coffee. And they don't rush you to get breakfast and leave. Very pleasant! Oh, the personal products-shampoos and things, smell lovely!

Pros: - Newly updated: all new beds and furniture throughout - Comfortable beds - Quiet hotel, minimal amount of guests/not crowded Cons: - Minimal options available at the continental breakfast - extremely basic and left us hungry - No hot tub - Room appeared to be booked as a 1 bedroom suite, but we got a 1 room suite which was a bit crowded for a family of 4 - Only housekeeping options were no cleaning or light cleaning. Would have preferred fresh bedding or at least to have beds made Overall, our stay was pleasant. We had a few minor dissapointments with the size of room/room layout, lack of breakfast and no hot tub but they did not ruin our stay. The hotel feels brand new with the recent renovations and was clean. We would recommend this hotel to others if it fit their needs and would consider staying again ourselves if a better price want available at a hotel with a few more ammenities.

The parking lot and building exterior do not do justice to what's inside. Good basic accommodations, and among the better economy-class motels I have stayed at. Clean lobby and halls, and the non-smoking room smelled fresh, without any hint of old tobacco--unlike the last place I stayed at (a Super 8 outside Indianapolis) that made no effort to update their room--after the State of Indiana passed a law requiring all rooms to be designated as such. It positively reeked. As other reviewers have noted, the Continental Breakfast was bare bones, offering little more than toast, cereal, and coffee. The pastries had been pretty well picked over by 8:00 am, and no one from the staff was checking on/replenishing the breakfast bar. Dining area was self-bussed, so none of the tables were getting wiped off after usage. Overall not a bad stay.

It's a little older, a little dated. Its a little dusty in the corners, but nothing bad at all. Older linens that are a little dated, but they were clean and crisp. The young lady who checked me in was very warm and inviting, super friendly. There was a mini fridge and coffee pot in my room, handy. I think I over paid for it a little bit, but it was a last minute booking. Breakfast was ok, I had coffee and cereal. Nothing too special, but it's free, you can't really complain! I would stay there again when I go back.

We were looking for a motel and decided to take a chance on the Super 8. So glad we did. It was clean, the room was nice and the bed comfortable. No funky smells. The bathroom was arranged for handicapped guests so was large. It was very clean. The whole building was clean. The breakfast was standard hotel fare but was good and filling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We plan to stay there again any time we need to stay in Cedar Rapids.

Right off the exit, under new management with updated rooms and new breakfast area. Friendly staff, housekeeping does great work and front desk is very helpful. Parking lot is safe with truck parking.

Check in was easy and staff was friendly. We got a king size room and it was your basics and clean with a good continental breakfast. Restaurants and fast food within walking distance and a gas station next door. Very pleased with our experience here and would definitely stay again.

The housekeeping staff impressed us also being kind, prompt, and always responsive to our requests with a smile.The room itself was spotless and clearly maintained with great attention to cleanliness. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to get a restful night’s sleep. I was also pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was, plenty of space for us to relax and unwind. During our stay, we also noticed how friendly the other guests were. Most seemed to be other families, contractors or construction workers staying from out of town, and everyone we interacted with was polite and respectful. Honestly, I’m not sure where the notion of this place being unsafe comes from, I felt that my son and I were completely safe and well taken care of throughout our entire stay. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would happily recommend this Econo Lodge to friends and any of my family visiting the area. Well, we arrived to check in & the very friendly clerk couldn't find a reservation for us. I showed her my email confirmation & what she did find was a cancelled reservation, saying the credit card declined. I selected "pay at hotel" option & was never asked to provide a credit card #. Fortunately, there was a room available & the clerk gave it to us for the price I reserved on Expedia. We were told we could enter the door by where we parked, straight up those stairs, was our room. It was 5pm, the door was locked. We had to go through the lobby to room, not a big deal, we told clerk it was locked. The room was clean, I checked the bed right away, as a classmate suggested bed bugs, which prompted me to consider cancelation, but it was too late for that. I did check bed bugs website & it advised this location was free of them. The bed was clean, no signs. We were just needing a bed to sleep & a room the clean up in. The king bed was VERY comfortable, we brought our own pillows too. The hallway going to our room, did smell of stale cigarette smell, but our room did not. We got back to hotel after midnight, did not feel worried about the area (which was also suggested of this area) and our car was not bothered. In the morning, we went to the continental breakfast, nothing fancy, filled our gut for the ride home. Included in the resonable price is always good. The owner was actually there taking care of some general concerns & he looked well kept & respectable. Happy w/our stay

The clerk at check in was fantastic. She was welcoming and helped take care of an issue we had right away. Lobby and dining area were good. Usual breakfast choices. Issues we had; mattresses were not the most comfortable for us, a little lumpy. And at some places we've stayed at, a queen size bed has had 4 pillows, theirs just had 2.Finicky AC unit, temp was way off from actual. Fridge was either not working or not well. Towel rod by sink was partially out of the wall. Hair dryer was not mounted on wall but was resting on sink counter and the holder had a few hairs in it. Bathroom generally was clean but there was a little mold at the bottom of the shower curtain.

This is the second time we have stayed here and both times we have been happy with our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. the rooms are as pictured and comfortable.

Everything was great the only thing I would change would be an extra chair in the room. If there is more than 1 person there is no where to sit. and maybe bring back the breakfast. But I thought the room and lobby was very clean. And I was met with a smile as we came in and when we left.
