Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is truly an amazing accommodation. The accommodation grounds is huge. There is this long driveway to enter the hotel. My husband and I even joked “welcome to our home” when we entered. They have good facilities: pool, jacuzzi, gym, restaurant, bar. They even have a barn inside with some hogs, chickens and turkeys. The entire stay was good. The room was spacious and clean. The cleaning staff was nice and cleans the whole room and toilet well.

Beautiful property with a lot of facilities (heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, tennis and basketball courts, on site pizzeria) and in close proximity to Hunter valley gardens and various vineyards. Rooms have unobstructed views of the rolling vineyards behind and woke up to see hot air balloons up against the mountains and kangaroos playing in the backyard,

This is our second time here and we really enjoyed our stay. We got a great deal through Qantas Luxury stays which included breakfast, high tea, room upgrade, $100 credit, VIP wine tasting at First Creek and two drinks each at the bar. Our room had a beautiful outlook over the hillside and the bed was very comfortable (to be picky the pillows are quite soft). The breakfast has everything you need including made to order eggs. They have a coffee machine that makes good coffee or you can pay extra for barista made ones. We ate at the bar one night which had woodfire pizza and your typical bar snacks. The service all round was great and the high tea was very lovely - so much food we took some home. I would definitely stay here again - close to some great wineries, easy parking and lovely view. The lobby is so lovely to sit in and relax. Highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway or with kids.

This is a first class hotel. From the minute we checked in we had a superb stay. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious, dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the bar was a great place to have drinks. We also had pizza there which was delicious. Breakfast was good quality and value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The landscape is stunning providing fabulous views. Highly recommend you stay here.

Saturday night stay in King Valley-View room. Unexpectedly & notably quiet for a weekend night which was very welcome. Character-filled, old-worldy ambience in decor of room. Older bathroom but suited the style & all very clean & practical. I would suggest a wall-mounted vanity mirror be included as mirror area a little dark for shaving/make-up applying. Very comfortable bed & pillows....like sleeping on a cloud. Room was very clean throughout with beautiful views. Unfortunately, we weren't left any slippers with our robes which would have been handy. The verandah partitions are incomplete & so are open to next door's & at one point in the late afternoon, a child walked past a couple of times. Wasn't a big issue but not as private as could be. Overall, a quiet, clean, comfortable stay. The Epoch bar is lovely too with great food & service.

The living room is fully glassed on one side which overlooks a beautiful open space with watering hole. Can see kangaroos coming to the waterhole. beautiful sight. My family enjoyed the jacuzzi after a day at the wineries

The room was absolutely stunning. The views are gorgeous, the villa is huge. Plenty of space and the bed was a fantastic size. The kitchen was big and spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast provided was also delicious and so fresh. Everything was very clean, the pool was stunning and also clean, the door was an easy access code so no key or check in required. Just lovely. Location is perfect, super central to wineries, eateries etc. Bathroom was also the perfect size. I would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing to not like about these villas. Perfect location, with a lovely bush view from our private villa. Beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, lots of little luxuries to make your stay perfect. Lovely breakfast included in the package with lots of options in the goody basket provided. Cook dinner on your own bbq, while having a sip of wine and watching the sun go down on your private balcony. The picture perfect place for a romantic weekend or week away. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The villa was beautiful and we had a very relaxing weekend away. The pool was amazing and it was so nice to sit on the balcony overlooking the view. Loved the included breakfast and lots of other nice touches. Also very central to lots of wineries, breweries and restaurants. The hosts were also so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend :)

We had an amazing time at Wine Country Villas. Very convenient & central location. Breakfast provisions were very well catered. Everything you need. The view was beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. It was quiet & peaceful. We saw beautiful Geese, birds and Kangaroos. It was a fabulous stay.

We loved how central the accommodation was to everything we came to see, Eg, Hunter Valley Gardens & Hunter Valley Wildlife Park - both were amazing ! Also, there were plenty of wineries and restaurants to choose from nearby. They had a small grocer, deli along with a bottle shop etc at the front of the accommodation which I found very convenient. Our accommodation got upgraded from a Small to a Large 2 Bedroom and it was a lucky surprise !! When we arrived, to our amazement, it was our very own private, spacious, and cozy cottage, tucked away and surrounded by nature with beautiful views! We had a patio that wrapped around the cottage, complete with an outdoor setting, BBQ and a firepitt! Our first morning there, we had little furry visitors outside (kangaroo's) my daughter's had a really great time, and got to play tennis, which was not far from the property. Thank you for a lovely weekend away! We definitely will be back! 😃

We loved it 😍 it is such a good spot, in between amazing and recommendable wineries, reachable on foot perfect to start some tastings a bit further away and end within walking distance ones for us a win-win. We had some Roos in the backyard which I always find amazing. If you want to spot and or take photos of the Milky Way, you're also in the right place. Just a short walk or drive will get you away from light pollution to experience this stargazing romantic night. Our weekend couldn't be more perfect. Very good food just up the road. Amazing coffee at Greg's.. everything you desire close by. 10+ for us And a very friendly receptionist to check us in and out. We will definitely be back.

It was perfectly sized! My children did not want to leave and neither did I! We could easily cook quick and easy meals, make some breakfast, have tea or coffee as everything that we needed was available for use and was clean. We were supplied with fresh cleaning products to use during our stay. Beds were comfortable. I absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful it was! I could not help but sleep in! Due to it being a work trip, I didn’t not get to spend a great deal of time at the cabin, but I absolutely enjoyed every moment I did have. Cessnock is a reasonably close drive for groceries, take out, and other needs. The Hunter Valley Gardens are down the road, as well as the Chocolate Factory that my children got to enjoy! I am excited to come back another time, and enjoy it as a personal family holiday.

My stay at the Pokolbin Village Estate was an experience that truly encapsulated the beauty and serenity of nature, combined with the comfort and luxury of well-designed spaces. The spacious rooms provided a sense of freedom and relaxation, a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The well-designed bedrooms and bathrooms added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall experience, making it feel like a home away from home. The cleanliness was top-notch, reflecting the high standards maintained by the estate. It was a pleasure to return to a spotless room after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The proximity to a café was a delightful bonus. The convenience of having delicious coffee and breakfast just a stone’s throw away added to the overall comfort of my stay.

Very well appointed unit, with great shower and very comfy bed. The unit has a nice lounge area with a small fridge, kettle, a great selection of teas and coffee and a toaster and microwave. Also, very decent sized wine glasses and coffee mugs! There is a separate bedroom, bathroom and a small verandah. The location is great, as it’s within walking distance of some wineries, one of the gin distilleries and a very good restaurant next door. There is also a great cafe in the village open for breakfast and lunch, a general store and bottle shop

Fireplace was a nice touch. Also nice jacuzzi style bathtub.

Room was spacious & the balcony was nice to sit on of an afternoon. Bed very comfy. The Spike Bar was great & the staff very pleasant. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Food was fresh & a good selection. The golf course is exceptional!! Well maintained & enjoyable to play.

Overall look of the resort was lovely. Felt very posh! The room was gorgeous and our balcony overlooking the golf course and mountains in the distance was lovely. The pool area looked clean and nice. The restaurant was nice when we went in for our breakfast buffet that had an amazing selection of healthy and unhealthy food and drink options for whatever you’re wanting to go for. Golf course and grounds were well maintained and staff were all very polite and welcoming whenever we went around the resort. Our room was gorgeous and very spacious. Loved the decor and vibe however after running our bath the spa bath stopped working the jets weren’t fully working and the tap handle fell off and only could turn cold water on. Luckily this wasn’t a problem as I had already run the bath and we were only there the one night so it wasn’t a big deal for us. I let them know upon checking out which they said they would have someone see to it asap so I’m sure it won’t be a problem and was just an unfortunate situation that luckily didn’t ruin our stay at all. Overall a lovely night and will definitely come back hopefully for more than one night next time to fully enjoy all facilities.

The villa was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, the golf cart service to take you to/from the bars/restaurants were greatly appreciated. The pool was very relaxing with pool towels provided. The villa had perfect temperature control and the bed gave a great nights sleep. The bathroom had some features that were aging but the functionality was not hindered. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect location in an amazing spot with great facilities and really helpful staff. The rooms are large and very comfortable with spacious lounge area, big balcony and a full size king bed which was really really comfy. The entire resort in amazing and so well set up apart from the distances between villas and facilities. This place is well priced for a luxury resort with a high end spa and the best golf course I have ever played.

Staff very friendly and helpful. We(4 girls) came up for Lovedale Long Lunch - staying Fri and Sat nights. The Pub was great too, just a short walk from our accommodation. Live free music fri-sun. Great music from the duo and solo singers. Good food too dinner both nights! - we tried 2 of the salads , Snitzel, fish n chips and nachos. Hotel gave us % discount at the pub too. Room sizes were good. 1 had dble bed and fold out sofa. The sofa was comfortable. Other had 2 king singles ( free upgrade) and a view of kangaroos hopping in the distance with an outdoor setting. We didn't use tennis court or pool. My friends ( in the other room) woke early and walked to a sunrise view. Location is convenient. I'd eaten lunch at Potters before , but this is my first stay. Would definitely stay again. We had terrific weather on Friday( winetasting ) and Saturday ( lovedale lunch) , Sunday more wine tasting, lunch at ( smokehouse) and coffee at Ben Ean. We had an hour to kill before lunch on Sunday. The hotel gave us free tasting vouchers which we used at Mc Leish Estate a boutique winery that we probably wouldn't have visited. Lovely wines were purchased.

I stayed at Potters Apartments for three nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff was welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. We got fresh towels everyday!! The location was perfect—quiet but had everything we needed. Bistro on site was awesome! My husband was there for Rail Work and worked overnight and I worked from the room, so the wifi connection was great had no issues. My daughter loved the pool! And also had a laundry room where I was able to get my washing done before heading back home. The customer service was excellent, with friendly staff who were always ready to help. Overall, Potters Apartments exceeded my expectations, and I’d highly recommend it. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to spend few days with bar/restaurant and pool all within the compound. The apartment was as spacious, comfortable and clean. Warm and friendly reception staffs and good service and ambiance at the bar too.

I felt secure and safe. The room was clean and had great facilities including the kitchenette. I would recommend putting a door on the shower though as water went everywhere after showering. Easy access and located close to restaurants and shops. I would stay there again.

We had the most amazing experience! We wanted to get away from our day to day lives and just relax in the quiet countryside of the Hunter Valley. We had special requirements of our stay which included seclusion, fireplace, jacuzzi under the stars and peaceful surroundings close to wine tours and we got exactly what we were looking for at Manzanilla Ridge! It was the perfect getaway and had every requirement that we were looking for. The ridge itself is so well thought out and you are well catered for (even a bread maker and complimentary Tawny!) If seclusion, romance, peace and quiet is what you are looking for then look no further!

Lovely cabin! Everything well maintained and looked after. Quiet and peaceful location. Fireplace was ready to be lit on arrival which made the cabin feel very homely. Fully functional kitchen was great to cook in. Very private outdoor spa which was very clean. I had to drag the MRS away on departure. Dom the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this stay to anyone wanting a quiet weekend away, definitely will be a return customer :)

Manzanilla Ridge has everything: a fire to keep you cosy, a spa under the stars, a beautifully comfy bed, a full kitchen to make anything you want and bacon, eggs, tomatoes, a bread maker for fresh bread and a coffee maker - what more could you ask for ! The property was beautiful. The cabin, perfect for couples wanting a quiet weekend away. However the cabin is in need of a good scrub up, it needs a good old dust and spruce up, not much but would definitely make the difference. I actually gave the kitchen cupboard doors a good wipe down. The main bathroom needs a good deep clean but apart from that we enjoyed our stay and it was clean enough for us however may not be for others. We loved our stay, the spa was divine and was clean and inviting. The property was so lovely and quiet which was what we were after. We had total privacy which was what we were after. And we’ll definitely be back for another visit in the future. Thank you Dominic and Jane for your hospitality, it was greatly appreciated.

The location was in the middle of Polkobin, so you could easily access nearby places. The room was clean and spacious, the bathtub was perfect, the bed was super comfy, and the view to the outside was simply exceptional

This was my 3rd stay at Leisure Inn Polkolbin. Rooms are good sizes with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities for a short stay. Bathrooms need updating but do the trick. Cafe breakfast menu at the cafe was a little disappointing as we couldn’t get our favourites (Eggs Benny and Big Breakfast), but the burgers we ordered were delicious. So many activities for all ages and the BBQ area is large and clean. Was perfect for our group of 6. Would definitely stay again.

I liked that it was so clean, the corners in the bathroom were done, anything we touched was clean. It was exceptional. The main bed was so comfortable and the pillows felt great. I loved having a spa, there was plenty of space in the bathroom for toiletries. It was a lovely place to stay. Very quiet despite being marketed as a family property. We didn't get to use the facilities but the pool looked great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would happily stay there again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this very nice location. It was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The only minor negative for us was the difficulty stepping over the spar bath wall. The shower located in the spar bath is not ideal for older users.

I stayed at Cabins in Mount View for the weekend to get out of the city and be in nature. My stay was lovely, I met John and he was so friendly and made me feel very welcome. It was lovely and quiet and I felt safe there. No street lights or range for phones and internet, if you want peace and quiet I would recommend Cabins on Mount View. The stars in the spa of a night time were amazing and the log fire to warm up in front of.

Amazing location, just what I needed. The spa was so relaxing after a day out exploring & tasting wine. The birds around the property were so interesting & to wake to the bell birds was magical. Hosts of the property friendly & helpful. Went out of their way to assist. The first night we needed the fire. It was ready to go. Breakfast goodies supplied on the first day, delicious. We had enough food left over for breakfast the following day.

A fantastic experience to unwind and relax. The cabin was fresh and clean with everything to make our stay extremely comfortable. On arrival, we were greeted with a breakfast basket of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushroom, orange juice, bread and condiments. Catering for my wife's dietary requirements was no trouble at all. Jannene went out of her way arranging a gift for my wife on arrival. The peaceful surroundings were only interrupted (in a beautiful way) by the Bell birds. The spa capped off a truly enjoyable experience.

The cottages are beautifully presented and the location is so peaceful up on the mountain. Hard to beat the Hot tub under the stars after a wine tour. There is a breakfast basket provided which was a nice surprise. One of the owners John booked our wine tour and was so friendly and most helpful whenever we had any questions before our stay. I even left my sunglasses on the tour bus which he contacted them about and organised them to be sent straight back to Sydney for me. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. The location was superb—peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was such a cute and thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and this place truly made it special. From the indulgent spa bath and cosy fireplace to the double shower and beautiful surroundings, every detail was perfect. Waking up to a bunch of kangaroos and wallabies right outside our balcony was such a magical experience—it felt like something out of a movie. We spent the afternoon on the balcony, sipping red wine and sharing snacks while soaking in the views and the serenity. It was exactly the romantic and relaxing escape we were hoping for. Quiet but central location. Comfy bed and nice shower. Little touches like honey, butter and milk for coffee and tea . Jurlique toiletries were a nice touch.

The peaceful calmness of the property and the views were stunning. I loved watching the kangaroos in the paddock. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, close to the wineries and places to eat.

Friendly and warm welcome. Richard was very helpful and full of useful information about the local area and if we require anything during our stay. We stayed in the spa room looking out onto the pool area and it is spacious for a family. Getaway Inn Boutique Guest House is central located to many attractions such as mins away from Hunter Valley Zoo, fast food such as McDonald's and Cessnock pool and splash zone. Its value for money and great location for families. As it was hot outside it was perfect to cool off and have a swim in the salt water pool which was a hit with the children.

The host, Richard, was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms and beds were very clean and comfortable. Position was perfect for a Peterson House wedding only a few minutes away. Having a kitchen so handy is a great idea

The accommodation is amazing, making it the best experience I've ever had during a stay in Hunter Valley. The environment is peaceful, and the hosts are incredibly friendly, even showing us wild animals. The hot tub is exceptionally comfortable, spacious, and very clean. The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows facing nature, offering stunning views while ensuring privacy. The hosts also introduced us to nearby wineries and recommended places for dinner. Knowing we were visiting from Sydney, they thoughtfully suggested a more unique and local dining experience, which was truly heartwarming.

The location is very relaxing and tranquil, set amongst beautiful trees and grounds, with a lake, kangaroos and bird song. The cabins themselves are very well kitted out and modern with nice big windows to view the grounds and a deck with a bbq and outdoor brazier for the cool nights. There is very scant phone reception but good wifi. The location is only 10-15 mins from the wineries and restaurants. The owners Carolyn and xxx (sorry forgot) are super friendly and helpful.

Where to start because really all of it!! The set up was amazing, clean and comfortable. The location was peaceful and relaxing and a great place to explore on the walking trails available. It was central to exploring The Hunter region. The hosts were friendly and we LOVED the hot tub!

Tuckers Lane Boutique was a relaxing getaway to unwind and recharge. We were surrounded by the beauty of Australia's nature and saw many kangaroos and kookaburras. The suite was very cute and cozy with all the necessities required for your stay including breakfast options, board games & toiletries. There was a spa bath outside that overlooked the beautiful outdoors with your privacy maintained. AC & an outdoor gas heater all provided for extra comfort. The WIFI worked surprisingly well inside the room considering the secluded location. Each room comes with your own driveway which we found very convenient. The owners of the place are absolute gems and very accommodating with great communication. We definitely will be making this our place to stay at when we go to Hunter Valley.

The location of Elysia Wellness Retreat is truly peaceful and picturesque the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The accommodation is spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. There’s a fantastic range of activities on offer, including yoga, boxing, tai chi, guided walks, and even pickleball lessons! Both the indoor and outdoor pools are excellent, and the spa treatments are an absolute must with so many options to choose from, each one is pure bliss. The meals were generally very good, though it would have been nice to have dessert available each evening. My only small suggestion would be for the outdoor tai chi sessions they would feel even more relaxing if they weren’t held at the same time as the loud aqua class or when cleaning vehicles are driving nearby. Aside from that, the staff were consistently professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The seminars were also informative and well-presented. Overall, I highly recommend Elysia Wellness Retreat to anyone seeking a restorative and rejuvenating wellness experience.

My mum and I recently stayed at Elysia Wellness Retreat, and honestly, it was one of the most peaceful and relaxing experiences we’ve had in years. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and welcoming, like the place was designed to make stress disappear. We stayed in a two-bedroom upper apartment, and the view was stunning—rolling hills, endless trees, and a golden sunset glow that made everything feel even more serene. Sitting on the balcony, listening to the birds and watching kangaroos laze around below was absolute bliss. The beds were firm but comfy, and while the kitchen had an oven and stove, we quickly realised they were “for display purposes only,” which gave us a laugh. The staff were incredible. The guy who checked us in (whose name I stupidly forgot to ask) was always friendly whenever we saw him. The housekeeper who helped us with our luggage was so sweet, loading it into her buggy and taking it down to the car for us—such a small thing, but it made a difference. We stayed midweek, so it was quiet in the best way possible. It honestly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, which made it even more peaceful. Being surrounded by nature, with nothing but birdsong and the occasional distant car, was exactly what we needed. The whole retreat just has this incredible sense of calm that makes you want to stay forever. If you need to reset, breathe & actually relax, this is the place to do it. Mum and I don’t know when we’ll be back, but we know we will

Elysia resort in hunter valley is pure bliss. Our ocean-view villa dazzled with a private plunge pool, rain shower, and sunset decks. Staff greeted us with tropical cocktails and unmatched warmth. Dining was divine: farm-to-table fusion with seared snapper, coconut foam, and endless breakfast crepes. Snorkeling revealed vibrant reefs; spa treatments melted stress with local herbs. Eco-friendly touches—solar power, reef-safe amenities—impressed. Luxury meets sustainability seamlessly. Worth every penny for a rejuvenating escape. 10/10—already planning my return! (98 words)

Great location! Our room was immaculate clean and amazing view from our balcony. Only negative was there was only 2 pieces of each cutlery. No room service was available we had to go and collect our food from the bistro which wasn't ideal. Great Spa facilities available and nice and peaceful area. Staff were friendly

I arrived at Elysia feeling tired, flat and unmotivated. 5 days later I was jumping out of my skin- fully nourished with an outstanding variety of delicious healthy meals prepared by the amazing chef Jamie. The array of exercise and activities available was almost endless- we experienced early morning tai chi on the lavender strewn Meditation Hill , hilarious Pickle Ball, fun Zumba, competitive indoor hockey, yin yoga, gym circuits, breath workshops and even Feldenkrais and after all or any of the above there is the spa- fabulous massages, treatments , the steam room and the pool. Our apartment was perfect- 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms with very comfortable beds , soft pillows, warm doonas and fluffy white towels. Elysia is my favorite holiday spot and I will be back very soon. Thanks to Mel, Matt, Brad and all the brilliant team who are genuine in their quest to make our lives better. I am so grateful 🩷🥳 You are the best.
