Bad Points: 1. Very poor water pressure to the shower 2. Bacon at breakfast time was dry and chewy Good Points Plenty of Blue Badge parking (no charge, just enter Reg No when booking in) Comfy, clean, spacious accessible room (lacks air con but windows do open) Friendly, helpful staff - a real credit to the place. Bar opens late with a good selection of beers etc. Good location, easy access to M5 and A38 into Gloucester City Centre and Quays Bumble Bee pub next door, good food, great service (Vintage Inn chain - worth downloading the app to book and also for offers) We paid what I consider a reasonable price and will definitely return when next in this area. Hopefully a better shower water pressure next time

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The shower was hot a gad good pressure. The bathroom had excellent quality hand soap, body wash and shampoo. There was a USB socket next to the bed to charge devices. There is free unlimited WiFi that has is fast both downloading and uploading. There is a hearty breakfast included with the room. Sadly I don’t think the lattes are as good as they used to be but the rest was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly There is ample parking although the parking space lines are faded and difficult to see on a rainy night.

This was an amazing value stay. Greeted by friendly staff and check in and out was quick and easy. The room and bathroom were spotless. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely and quiet. The Bumble Bee pub next door was perfect for an evening drink. Breakfast was busy and still all the food was plentiful and fresh. Cannot fault our stay.

Hotel was spotless, staff were lovely and really looked after us and our dog. Have stayed in other hotels where there's quite a fair bit of 'corridor' noise which can set our dog off barking - had no issues here whatsoever and our dog slept soundly. On arrival we were given a little dog bag with a ball, treats and poo bags which is a nice touch (£25 pet fee, which seems expensive but well worth it for us!). Breakfast in the morning was great - dogs are allowed to sit on the laminate flooring bar area, and we just took it in turns getting breakfast whilst the other stayed with the dog. The food was the best breakfast we've had at any hotel buffet! Only downside, which is no fault of the hotel is the restaurant right next door was expensive and not worth it in our opinion, so wouldn't recommend that.

Excellent stay here for one night. All staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Big mention to Karen at breakfast time who helped me. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel next to Bumble Bee Inn where we ate evening meal. Will visit again when next in Glos.

The staff were all amazing! Exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had the gallery suite. Nice and big. Two lovely single beds pushed together. Large TV in main area and smaller TV for the bed. Also a large sofa bed. A table and two chairs to eat and two comfy chairs. Furniture a little tired but no issues. Fridge in the room as well. Evidently a new bathroom suite but it was a shame that it had all been tiled and was new but the wood work was not replaced and looked tired. Bed was comfy and plenty of room for clothes storage. We had an evening meal. It was cooked as we asked, hubby had a steak I had a burger. No complaints. The bar was open and the drink flowed. The staff again were friendly. Slept fairly well. There was three heaters in the room which you set to your own needs. I thought it would be noisy as was on a main road but it wasn’t. Breakfast was served yourself. Hubby enjoyed, although didn’t have the sausages as he felt they were anemic! I had weetabix, yoghurt and a slice of toast. Drinks machine made a nice coffee. I would stay again. I thought the reviews would put me off but no, we had a pleasant stay, agree with the three star but you can see they are trying and as I keep saying the staff were brilliant 🤩

This hotel is being refurbished. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast really good. The evening meals were delicious and not especially expensive. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There is free parking behind the hotel. There’s a lift. Comfortable lounge with bar. Bus stops outside hotel, one going to Gloucester and one to Cheltenham both about 25 mins. Was perfect for us.

Mostly a satisfactory experience. Visited with friends for an event in Cheltenham at the University of Gloucester campus. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable bed large telly. Bathroom was a problem as overhead shower was impossible to regulate for temperature. No grab rail no safety mat. Probably ok for a bath but not for elderly who could easily get stuck or slip. We had an excellent dinner on one evening .Food was delicious . However , the waiter was coping on his own also running the bar.

Staff were great went out of their way to make you comfortable, the bed in one room the mattress had springs sticking up I told reception and they were mortified when I showed them. They instantly moved us to another room which was very comfortable. The food was very good freshly cooked including buffet style breakfast delicious perfectly cooked and constantly bringing out fresh. Coffee we like lattes and they were also very good. We stayed for 3 nights and we also stayed for evening meal on all three nights. We will definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you all

Very nice hotel clean and tidy our room was comfortable very big and a nice view from the window .staff friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening a good selection was on the menu breakfast was ok but would have been nice to have a choice .

Loved everything. It was so nice to take the time to relax in such a lovely, quiet place. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs, and the woodland walks straight from the site was an added bonus. The lodge was clean and comfortable, and the hottub was a great place to chill with some bubbles.

Excellent facilities. A very comfy glamping cabin in a quiet location. Hottub was great and having an on site Cafe was a great bonus. Was a terrific bonus to see the breakfast care package essentials waiting for us in the cabin. Would recommend.

Location was good, grounds maintained to a high standard, Accommodation was very clean, hottub was excellent, bed very comfortable and the welcome pack was a lovely and useful treat. Bathroom was faultless, very good indeed. Parking was easy.

We really liked the place. Really peaceful, beautiful and private. Much needed break from the city life and busy work. The place is very sufficient where you can cook meals, microwave, kettle and toaster available. They provided complimentary coffee, tea, biscuits, eggs and snacks. The jacuzzi was really relaxing and just outside our lodge. Was able to do barbecue and you can buy the wood for the fire pit and charcoal for the bbq. Would definitely go back

Ideal place for o relax! Very private cabin, it was our first experience glamping and I have a feeling we were spoilt! Lovely cabin, with an outdoor jacuzzi, easy to check in and check out. Staff was lovely and communicated all the info beforehand and we even had the opportunity to meet one of the owners.

The hotel was clean and my room was comfortable. The spa facilities were clean and just enough stations to not get busy ( ie sauna, steam room, jacuzzi etc.

Loved the pool and Jacuzzi. Good restaurant, good sized and comfortable bedroom, lovely grounds.

Went for a spa day. The cleanliness is fantastic. The massage. The spa has a steam room, heated loungers, jacuzzi and warm pool. Seating area outside incredible. Great staff. Had a walk around the ground looked a great place to stay. All in all a great day out.

as a spa hotel i would have expected better spa facilities . it had a small pool, jacuzzi and a few different rooms steam, sauna, etc.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We were in a dog friendly room (the swallows). Staff were very welcoming and made a fuss of our dog. There was a dog bowl and treat in our room which was really thoughtful. Beds were comfy. You get 2 hours spa access included which we used in the morning. Spa was very relaxing, loved the Jacuzzi and being able to lounge in the sun outside. Breakfast buffet had lots to choose from and ordering a hot food option was included. Really good quality.

We stayed in the Out of Africa room and it exceeded all expectations. The room was stunning and the attention to detail was exceptional. Very comfortable bed. Jacuzzi bath. Space galore. We cannot wait to book again.

We had an absolutely amazing time for two nights (September 7-9) at Beaumont House.. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and jacuzzi,we stai in Out Africa,just wow! The fact that it was self checkin didn't bother us at all. For those looking for a room and a romantic place Out of Africa from Beaumont House it's what you need. Good location too. Thank you Beaumont House!

I stayed in the Out of Africa room and it was everything I hoped for from the moment I walked in. The room was beautifully themed, absolutely spotless, and the bed was so comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the jacuzzi bath such a relaxing touch after a day out. Everything was just as described, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I made a last minute, single night booking booking for a Saturday night, to avoid having to make a three and a half hour trip down to Cheltenham and back again in the same day. Now that we have stayed there, I wish we'd had longer. The hotel is lovely, very clean, very warm, and very welcoming (even though we arrived late and everything is self serve). It is wonderfully easy to check yourself in, there is a well stocked small bar area where you can grab a very affordable drink and relaxing lounge and dining area. The room was the last one left and was offered as a small double, but it was thoughtfully laid out so that we had plenty of room to store our clothes and bags and the room had an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, lots of complementary teas.coffee, toiletries and good hangers and hanging space. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were fabulous - just right! It is a self service hotel but this is very clear in the description and I liked the easy to use self check in - no worrying about disturbing anyone if you are late or being locked out, it is easy and quiet to use. They don't offer breakfast service but the grab and go coffee and muffins and cereal bars in the morning are a nice touch and I'd be very happy to stay here again.

Visiting area to meet up with friends. What a beautiful hotel . All areas including lounge and stairs were spotless. Bedroom was beautiful and bed was very comfortable . Mini bar with water and milk for tea and coffee in room. Shower was great . No problem with self check in , there is a honestly bar if you want a night cap on the way to your room . Coffee and breakfast bars worked well for us as plenty of coffee shops nearby if you were wanting a cooked breakfast or something more . Decent parking . Would definitely return .

We loved everything about this property! Suzi and Paulo (and Lola the dog) were super friendly and gave us a great tour, the building itself was beautifully decorated, and the grounds well kept, the rooms and facilities clean and warm (but you can turn your radiator off or open a window if you like it a little cooler). It had great character and felt almost magical - it’s clear that a lot of thought, care and effort have gone into making this a perfect B&B. The food was tasty and fresh. Overall we had an amazing time and it was an absolute pleasure to stay her. Highly recommend.

Suzi and Paul were very friendly and welcoming. The Shepherds hut we stayed in was just beautiful, very clean and so comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted to enjoy our anniversary. Thank you xx

Fantastic , we couldn't find one negative about The Monkspool. Room spotless and comfortable, breakfast lots of choice and cooked fresh, Suzi&Paulo so warm and welcoming from the second we got there. Beautiful surroundings with its own lake with ducks and fish. Easily one of the best B & B's we've ever stayed in, can't wait to go back.

Absolutely beautiful house and such wonderful welcoming hosts, the room was immaculate and the breakfast super tasty, I would recommend monkspool as an above average b&b. It is a peaceful and relaxing home.

Just spent two nights at Jessop House. Greeted by the friendly host Joan, who showed us to a fabulous rear room, with large very comfortable bed and pristine bed linen and towels. Often pillows can let a bed down, not here, they were first class. Breakfast was delicious, and had fresh juices, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, then a choice of hot food which was cooked freshly for you. No problem with extra coffee. Having parking was a great advantage, so central for the restaurants we visited. An excellent choice. We shall return. Thank you Joan

We enjoyed our stay at Jessop House, the property was clean and comfortable. There was a spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed and there was no noise from outside traffic etc., There was no actual bathroom in our room, there was a cupboard inside of which was the toilet and another cupboard which housed the shower (not ideal) the shower was quite small with poor water pressure! Because we were situated at the back of the property we used a back entrance to access our room but then had to go outside and come in the other door to get to the breakfast room, lounge area. Breakfast was ok, slow service and very very quiet, one felt you had to whisper, could have done with some background music! Parking was very limited at the back of the property but we used the Abbey car park at £6.00 a day. Would we go back again? no, probably not.

Joan, our host, was friendly and welcoming and the house is beautifully kept. Our room was very clean and spacious and the good quality bed linen was crisp and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with a freshly cooked hot choice cooked to order, which was delicious. We arrived earlier than check-in time and Joan kindly let us park up at the hotel. The house itself has a great history and is just opposite the Abbey too. It’s also located within very easy reach of shops, bars and restaurants. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

The bedroom was sumptuous with a décor consistent through bed linen, furniture, curtains and wall coverings. A huge size, it included a sofa, a large bed and a modern bathroom. The bed was firm but comfortable. Views to front and back included traditional buildings and (as requested) Tewkesbury Abbey. Joan was very attentive and dealt promptly with an electricity break. Internet coverage was good (in an old building). Breakfast was delicious, served once again in a room with exceptional décor. The hotel is well-situated (with a great Italian restaurant two doors away) but this means close to the traffic, the sound of which was a little intrusive on a hot June evening.

Jessop House is a delightful little BandB Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Everywhere was beautifully maintained and clean. Our room was lovely, very spacious, especially for a family room, not used to this! All three beds were very comfortable - linen was impeccable. Breakfast was very good, tasty, hot and lots of choice.
