The hotsprings and jacuzzi are awesome. The hotelrooms are actually bungalows which is fantastic. It is also in the middle of the nature. It is also very clean.

Hot springs on site were the best feature. The best part was the hot springs were divided into smaller sections so we had our own private jacuzzi all the time.

The grounds of the hotel are lovely. The cabins are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. They are each on their own little plot and feel very private. The hot springs are absolutely stunning; there are 3-4 hot spring pools and a jacuzzi sitting in lovely surrounds. There’s also a bar at the hot springs serving very good cocktails which were reasonably priced.

The staff was super nice and the facilities are in great condition. Amir and the other staff helped us book the ATV Tour and it was amazing. When it comes to the rooms, we booked the one with a private jacuzzi. It was cozy and comfortable and the fact that they have complementary bug repellent available in the rooms is something we really appreciated.

Words cannot describe how amazing this hotel is. It has a huge forest, with all the rooms overlooking the forest. The rooms are luxurious, and we had a private jacuzzi outside our room in the middle of the forest. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant at the hotel is amazing.

A wonderful resort nestled in a rainforest. The bungalow was very comfortable and quiet. The access to the jacuzzi was astonishing. The restaurant is good and the service is impeccable. We saw monkeys and a lot of birds.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Several warm pools for soaking and sipping a cocktail. Slides into one pool and the river. Big room with nice terrace (with outdoor bed and hammock, plus jacuzzi that we didn’t try. Set perfectly into the rainforest, with monkeys, birds, amazing wildlife. A wonderful end to a wonderful trip to Costa Rica.

Overall a nice stay. The hotel is generally a little bit rough around the edges. The finishing is quite bad in the bathrooms and pools. The rooms are pretty but very very dark on the inside, and very basic in their finish. The private jacuzzi is a stunning feature but they leave them open all day so they’re filled with leaves and dead bugs by the end of the day. It’s close to most of the sites in la Fortuna and the hotel runs many excursions in the area that are very fun. Overall I would say it’s a nice option, just very overpriced. It doesn’t feel as luxurious as what you pay for.

PROS: I took my fiancé for his birthday and the property was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was such a nice getaway! The property was very easy to navigate, however, you do need a flashlight at night. Our bungalow and the property as a whole was very clean. The bed was comfortable and we slept peacefully. Wonderful staff! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved Rondell at the hot springs bar; A funny guy. The hot springs was very relaxing. We saw a beautiful toucan every morning! We wish we would've hung out in La Fortuna more than just our last night. We bar hopped on the strip then ate at Lava Lounge while a band played. The ride wasn't far and the locals were friendly. We felt safe. The excursions were AMAZING!! We would definitely recommend waterfall rappelling at Pure Trek (awesome staff and best excursion). We also did white water rafting and ATV's which was a blast! CONS: The service at restaurant on the property was very slow. The food was mediocre tasting but always fresh. The breakfast was better than the lunch and dinner. I would suggest trying food down La Fortuna. The pool was too cold for anyone to get in.

We enjoyed our private bungalow with jacuzzi, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. Great location with amazing volcano views.

The facilities were great and the location with a direct view of the Arenal Volcano was amazing. There is a nice pool and jacuzzi to relax, a exeptional breakfast and some nice hikes in the direct environnement.

Location was great! Staff (Alexandra at the front desk) were fantastic. Pool w pool bar was great for late afternoon happy hour and snack. The ROOM was perfect with jacuzzi tub on the balcony. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The snack bar food was good, and the location of the pool was phenomenal. The waterfall in the pool was a fun addition, as was the cover over the Jacuzzi. The landscaping was absolutely incredible. Felt almost like Hawaii.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The welcome was fantastic from Dylan . Our family of 3 stayed in the honeymoon room which had a double sofa bed and a superking . With double large windows and a great view of the nature in front . All that staff were friendly and very helpful. The room has water and complimentary wine - and hairdryer / iron etc . A big jacuzzi bath and large shower. We wished we could have stayed longer than one night . I would definitely return here .we saw sloth and monkeys on the grounds .

We loved our stay at Si Como. We stayed here as part of our honemoon trip, staying in the honeymoon suite. The room was large, clean, had a comfy bed & a jacuzzi in the room! The room & balcony had an amazing view over the rainforest & out to the oceon. We saw so much wildlife within the resort itself & enjoyed the peaceful, laid-back vibe. Both the adult only & family pools have swim up bars & the staff were so attentive & friendly here. Watching the sunset from the adult pool was amazing! Breakfast was good & filling & the waiting staff were very helpful. They were able to accommodate the vegan diet well at breakfast & also had a couple of options that could be made vegan for lunch & dinner. Si Como is a short walk to local restaurants, shops & an ATM. The beach is walkable but would take a long time as there is a very steep hill that seems to go onto miles, leading down to the beach! The hotel offers a shuttle bus to / from the beach at set times, which took 5 mins, or you could easily get a taxi. The reception desk will happily arrange trips for you, and we booked a couple of good trips through them (Damas mangrove boat trip & full day waterfall tour). We treated ourselves to an amazing massage in the spa, and it was one of the best I've had! Would very much recommend a stay at Si Como whilst you're visiting Manuel Antonio 👌

Location. The views from this property are breathtaking. Our room came with a balcony which looked out over the rainforest down to the sea, from which you could sit and watch the myriad of birds. The room itself was spacious and very well maintained. The hotel grounds are immatculate. The hotel is built into a hillside which facilitates the amazing views. Possibly not suitable for anyone with mobility issues! Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Everything is cooked fresh to order with some very unusual and delicious options. Staff could not be more helpful. Hotel is quiet and peaceful but is located on the main street down to Manuel Antonio National Park so there are various restaurant options within easy walking distance.

This was a great place to stay for a couple of BF's since grade school. The grounds are spectacular. So many beautiful plants and flowers to see. It seemed like everyday something else was blooming. The variety of birds that we saw were amazing. We heard Howler monkeys, saw white faced monkeys, and lizards. Staff were friendly and remembered our names even when we didn't tip because we didn't have cash on hand, they were still nice. Rooms were clean and well stocked. They could use more storage space and hangers, but we managed. They alerted us to when our tour driver or transportation was waiting in the lobby by notifying the restaurant which I thought was nifty that they knew we were there. The recommended zip line across the street was super fun. Shuttle to the beach was convenient but I wish it ran more. We ended up taking Ubers since we wanted to stay at the beach longer on some days. Ubers are super convenient and cheaper than taxi's. We Uber'd a lot in Costa Rica.... it was GREAT. The breakfast was big and perfect for us. You could choose from a continental type of breakfast or order off the menu. We had a nice variety of fruits and fresh juices each morning. We really enjoyed stay and will definitely return.

Fantastic views! Wonderful stay, spacious room with balcony. Delicious food with great views. We enjoyed breakfast made to order (with a buffet option available). Dinner was delightful (although wine is expensive!). Long Happy Hour at the different bars! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to beach. Hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend staying here.

The room was spacious, however, we upgraded after a week to a Pool room. which was on the balcony. Absolutely Loved it. Exercise in the pool downstairs in the morning< and refreshing cool pool in the afternoon on the balcony. It was amazing. You could not ask for more in a hotel. We loved our stay. The staff are wonderful. The Manager Alexandra was amazing as well, very helpful. It was a full apartment, with a kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave. If you wanted to cook You could. Pali grocery store is minutes away, Maxi Mennos ( Walmart) is a 15 minute walk on the main strip. The main Pool downstairs was amazing, with a side jacuzzi and little huts for shade, as well as beautiful lounge chairs. If you don't want to cook, you can order with confidence from the restaurant in the hotel, everything was delicious. The breakfast is included and spectacular choices. As far as we were concerned it was all first class, the service, the staff and the apartment. We loved our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel. The cleaning is done daily. you have a choice of the time it is done. They cater to your every desire. We even washed our clothes before coming back, as there is a washer and dryer in the apartment, you just have to buy detergent that's it.

My daughter and I had a small but nice room that overlooked a little jungle area. Some may think the pool view would have been better, we would disagree. The hotel was nice and clean and the hotel food and breakfast was very good and convenient. The hotel was very close to the main drag, but my daughter and I felt a little unsafe in the area and chose to get back to our hotel by 6:00 pm the two nights we were there. After a long day of ATV riding, we were hoping the jacuzzi would have been warm but it wasn't, at least it was refreshing for a bit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice to have a little market next door for little items. Would recommend staying here.

The property is a comfortable getaway from an otherwise loud and busting Jaco. The staff was attentive, kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and welcoming. The breakfast offered many delicious choices and the coffee/drink bar was also nice and created beautiful and yummy drinks. The pool area was clean and so welcoming, the water was warm and a perfect way to end a day in the sun. We would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is up on a hill 5 min drive from the main shopping area of Tamarindo. The pool area and view of the ocean is amazing. The room was nice, clean, comfortable and had a balcony with an incredible view of the pool and ocean. Breakfast was good. The best part was the bonus of the Langosta Beach Club included in the stay. We loved the pool, beachfront lounge chairs, shade and facilities here and enjoyed the food and happy hour cocktail’s. The shuttle provided by the Wyndham hotel made it easy to go from the hotel to town and beach club and back. We walked a few times for exercise and felt safe the whole time.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The infinity pool was absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The service was impeccable—attentive and friendly throughout my stay. While the hotel is about 1KM from the city center, they offer a convenient shuttle service, which made getting around very easy. I also really enjoyed the Langosta Beach Club, which is associated with the hotel—a great spot to relax and unwind. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The pool was simple amazing, the view is unbeatable. The ocean view from every balcony is also stunning. We watched the sunset from our balcony and it was the highlight of our trip. The staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast with a view was always a great start to the day. The shuttle to the beach club and town was so nice to have and always on schedule. Very clean, very nice property overall.

Absolutelyyyy loved it here, stunning. Stunning sea view room, stunning view of the sea and gardens from the pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, great on-site shop. Tasty breakfast with music in the morning which gives everything a nice vibe. Nice live music on some of the evenings. Great shuttle service that’s included in the hotel package! It takes you to Tamarindo town and the local beach which is sooo convenient!

The location was away from the town, but there was a free shuttle. This meant the hotel was quiet but the restaurants and beach club were easy to get to and from. The pool was lovely with a fantastic view of the coastline. The room was large and comfortable with a nice balcony. Breakfast was excellent!

Very clean property. We stayed in a deluxe suite with a jacuzzi and it was very spacious. The property offers a breakfast for $10 and it was worth the money. The breakfast cook lady was very accommodating and made omlettes, eggs and pancakes made to order. The location is about 15 mins from the airport. Would love to stay here again.

If you need a charming, homey place to stay near the Cariari area, this is it! Cecilia and Mario are the best hosts, and they will make you feel like you are part of the family. My room was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything I needed for a 4-night business trip. There is a mini-bar in the room (bottled water is free), and guests have access to the full kitchen of the main house, just outside your room. The views of the golf course are awesome. Walk 3 minutes to the Hard Rock bar/restaurant. Less than 1 minute to the new "Beer Factory" bar, and 5-minute walk over the pedestrian bridge to the mall with many restaurant/bar options.

A delicious typical breakfast was included. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, very clean and relaxing with a garden view. It's a small family run hotel so any issue is resolved quickly. We have stayed here many times while visiting San Jose.

This property is amazing! Beautifully decorated, lovely grounds and setting, exceedingly clean and well cared for. The owners are wonderful. They are friendly, warm, and helpful. We did have a slight issue with enough hot water for a tub (some rooms have showers), but as I haven't seen that mentioned by any other reviewers, perhaps it was a fluke. We highly recommend this hotel, it is also convenient to the airport and a shuttle service is available.Breakfast was also included and was prepared by a lovely woman who made eggs to order, with pancakes, fruit, beans/rice, and toast. You also have access to the adjoining golf course pool and restaurant, which we did not have time to take advantage of. The hotel is located in a nice mixed residential/business area with very nice homes.- the hotel itself looks like it is a converted home. On our first night in San Jose we stayed in a big name hotel chain, and the Terrazas (on the last night of our trip) was so much better in every way. I wish we could have spent more time there.

We have stayed at Terrazas several times when travelling to Costa Rica; It is convenient to the airport,but also a very comfortable and friendly small hotel. We feel very much at home; it is a family run business and we feel treated as family also It has an open feel, with a central garden and fountain, a beautifuly back garden and faces a golf course in the back. It is immaculately clean, and the staff are very helpful. It sits in a very nice residential neighbourhood; it is pleasant to walk in this area; there a restaurants and stores just a short distance away

Excellent hotel and staff. Marilyn Mora at reception was amazing. She made our stay memorable. The hotel is gorgeous, the views are amazing, and the bungalow was perfect. Plus, the restaurant menu was well-balanced and delicious. The restaurant staff was attentive and very helpful. It’s a must stay.

We have never experienced such excellent service in any hotel anywhere in the world. From the warm greeting and help with baggage, to activity planning and wonderful servers at the amazing restaurant, we were blown away! The main building is beautiful, set in a nature reserve with stunning views. Steps away are hiking trails where we saw capuchin monkeys within the first 10 minutes of arrival! Did I mention the restaurant? The best breakfasts that we had in our two weeks in Costa Rica, and fantastic coffee. (They always made our double shot cappuccinos without complaint!) Dinners at Kire were exceptional and I am still thinking about the palm heart salad. We had a Junior suite, which was clean, with comfortable beds, but a little tight for 4 adults (our sons are man-size). If we are lucky enough to come again we will spring for a family suite so that we have some more space. If you had smaller children I imagine the Junior Suite would be fine. It has a large bathroom shower. Lastly, i left a favourite shirt behind and they kindly arranged to send it to a later stop. Much appreciated! Thanks to Marco, Diana, Kenneth, Javier, Cristian, Stephanie, and at least two other wonderful severs whose names I sadly forget. Koora was a 5/5 stay!

We booked a single night here at the very last minute trying to escape the heat of the west coast beach towns. We were so glad we did. This hotel is absolutely stunning. We had one of the rooms upstairs from the lobby rather than one of the bungalows but the room was amazing with a spacious first floor, kitchenette, balcony and a very cool loft bedroom/bath. The grounds, particularly the park right next to the hotel, are stunning as is the view of the ocean and Nicoya Peninsula in the distances. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This was our first time visiting Monteverde and we'll certainly include it on our future trips to CR. We would absolutely recommend a stay at Koora. It's not inexpensive but you really do get what you pay for. Very nice.

My father and I spent three nights at the Koora, on our dream vacation. It was truly amazing! The service was first class. Kenneth was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. He booked us an excursion on very short notice, packed us a breakfast-to-go before we headed out in the morning, and gave us a lot of good advice. The food in their restaurant was as good as you will find anywhere. We watched the monkeys swing through the trees just off the restaurant balcony. They even have a "private" preserve attached to the hotel where we took a beautiful evening hike. Very clean, very friendly, very beautiful place. I hope to see them again soon.

Fantastic boutique hotel with very friendly & helpful staff!! The pool is big and has a great ocean view. You can even sit in the pool and sip on your delicious welcome drink! We stayed here with my parents before their flight back. The hotel has a very convenient location, it’s only 2hrs from the airport and close to the main road. Both our rooms with beautiful ocean view were very clean and the beds super soft and comfortable. The suite on the top floor has is all… it’s very spacious with a big balcony and 180 degree ocean view!! I very much enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool and watching the waves and macaws. Dinner and breakfast were also excellent. We’ll be back!!!

The grounds were beautiful, the view was amazing, the pool was perfect, the food was delicious. Monkeys visited the grounds, we saw parrots and whales out in the distance from the amazing deck view. The drinks were tasty and the food at the restaurant was phenomenal. The staff was friendly, personable, and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place.

This hotel has been cleverly designed and has a great modern and stylish feel to it. The pool and bar area was really pleasant; welcome cocktail on arrival. The food in the restaurant was very good, especially breakfast. We were upgraded from the bungalows to a very comfortable room by the pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Cruz

Marala Hotel is a wonderful, ocean view property on the way to Quepos. Cruz assisted us with our check-in and was extremely kind and helpful. Our room was new and modern with a very strong AC. The rooms on the second floor where we stayed have a shared sitting room with a couch, chairs, TV, and long dining table. While we did not use this area, I could see it being nice for groups traveling together. The pool area is gorgeous with a lovely infinity edge pool that looks out to the ocean. Our room came with a welcome cocktail which was a nice unexpected surprise. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both meals were tasty and high quality. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and I would definitely stay there again.

Delicious Food!!! Hands down the best food experience I’ve had at any hotel. From breakfast and coffee to dinner and cocktails. Their Piña Colada and Mussels are to die for!!! The ocean view offers an breathtaking outlook. The bungalow’s view offers an tranquil view of the rainforest scenery. You will even see monkeys because the hotel is surrounded by mango trees. The General Manager hails from Boston, Massachusetts USA and has YEARS of concierge and hospitality service. The Hotel is 25mins away from JACO and 50 mins away from Manuel Antonio. You will definitely NOT regret your stay here. This was my first international trip from Nashville, TN USA and this hotel has contributed so much to my trip. Looking forward to returning here again with my family.

Beautiful hotel, room was GORGEOUS, food was amazing. Big TV with great selection of channels and a Bose sound system. Two beaches on each side of the peninsula one with sunrise view one with sunset, both with great food/drink service and less than 2 minute walk from the room. Service was impeccable, the last day we ordered room service and had breakfast on our balcony (which was beautiful with a sunset view). Golf course was also amazing and definitely worth it. Tonnes of wildlife. Great service by all the staff, super friendly. Even the (very few) locals selling little souvenirs on the beach were incredibly friendly and not pushy at all. Loved our stay, can’t wait to come back. 100/10

This is a truly spectacular resort with two amazing beaches. Everyone was so friendly -- the reception, the concierge, the restaurant & beach staff, golf cart drivers...they go above and beyond to make you feel like a valued guest. We saw several reef sharks as soon as we started snorkeling at Blanca Beach and soooo many colorful fish. We stayed in one of the canopy suites, and our driver David pointed out a family of howler monkeys relaxing in the tree outside our bungalow. We stopped and took a ton of photos of these beautiful & intelligent creatures. The tacos at La Bahia restaurant (fish + carne asada) were so good we had them 3 days in a row! We've been lucky to stay at a handful of Four Seasons properties around the world, and this one was definitely one of the best. Muchas gracias!

My husband and I were married at the Four Seasons at Disney in Orlando April 2015 so we had high expectations for the Four Seasons Costa Rica and we were not disappointed!! I mentioned on our reservation through Expedia that this was our first wedding anniversary trip and we received champagne and chocolate covered roses in our room upon arrival, champagne at lunch when our waiter just so happened to ask if we were there for a special occasion and champagne at dinner later that night as it was our actual wedding anniversary date. The food in all restaurants that we tried was excellente and delicioso!! Service was impeccable and it was the same feeling like we had in Orlando with the reply being " it was my pleasure" from anyone that assisted us. I was able to work on my Spanish while there. The scenery is beautiful and sitting on the high peninsula provided extraordinary views throughout our stay. Paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkeling are all available. There are plenty of free activities included. We tried to do the kayak at sunset but it got to be too windy and the waves were too high so we could not go as it was not safe. We signed up for others but found that we were enjoying relaxing too much to even get up. We also did the canopy tour which was frightening at the beginning but once I calmed down I really enjoyed the views of the ocean and forrest. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and really hated to leave.

The Four Seasons at Peninsula Papagayo is wonderful. The grounds are lovely, the service is superb. There are two beaches, one quiet, and one for activities. There are activities scheduled for kids and adults throughout the day. There is a hiking trail on the property. We saw raccoons, white-faced monkeys, and many birds. It's pretty strenuous, many steps, but we enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed the Bahia restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and Anejo, the tapas bar. Prices are in line with other Four Seasons resorts, maybe a bit higher. Meals and service were excellent. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. We look forward to our next stay

The staff was consistently friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. The considerable property is meticulously maintained and offers whatever you might be looking for in a vacation, be that relaxing in premium comfort on one of two beautiful beaches or , walking, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, bikeing , paddle boarding or attending various cultural offerings , are included. The rooms were elegant, and comfortable w/ a nice welcome “ dessert” and chips with coffee and tea refreshed daily along with bottled water. We felt pampered and refreshed to return to the frozen tundra of Wisconsin!

We stayed here very last minute. We were supposed to stay at Arenal Waterfall lodge for our 3 nights in La Fortuna and after the first night I said no way. Luckily the 1 king bed/1 twin bed with private jacuzzi was available for our other two nights and SAVED our trip! It was so luxurious! Everything we hated about the other hotel this hotel had done right. There were no bugs in our room, it was super modern with plenty of outlets and lights, and you still felt like you were in the jungle even though you were close to town, because of the luxurious gardening. Plus after a long day of hiking when you are too tired to move, there is a fabulous restaurant on site with the most attentive kind waiters! In addition, this hotel was as spread out as Arenal Waterfall lodge but the smart people at this hotel had golf carts to help people with all their luggage! It is so spread out that we were never once bothered by noise of another guest. We felt like we were secluded in our own piece of paradise! The room was spectacular. There was a separate toilet on one side of the bathroom, a separate shower (with waterfall/rain shower head) and a huge vanity in the middle. The bed had ample outlets. There are various light settings, black out curtains controlled by a remote, and the A/C was perfect. The highlight of this room was the private jacuzzi. sitting in it while it rained was something my 13 year old still talks about!

Paradise. If you’re considering booking this hotel, do it, you won’t be disappointed! So much attention to detail throughout the entire property. I must have said ‘it’s just so pretty’ HUNDREDS of times. Lol. Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The property is gated, so you have a keycard to get back in. My husband can’t go to sleep without white noise, but you literally hear the river and birds (while being bug free and having great air conditioning) and this is the first time he’s been able to sleep without his phone going. TVs have Netflix so you can just log into your account. Shower is huge! Waterfall shower head with HOT water. Great toiletries as well. Restaurant was top notch, we tried almost everything on the menu and every single thing was delicious! Staff was great, especially Ronaldo, Rolando, and Summer. We enjoyed every meal, sometimes while watching toucans jump around in the trees, and also a great view of the volcano. Included breakfast- SOO GOOD!! Fresh fruit and mixed bread come with your order. It was raining when we finished dinner one night and we were asked if we wanted a ride back to our room in a golf cart. Lol, We declined but then they insisted we take umbrellas. The staff is just so pleasant and goes out of their way to make sure you’re happy. Pools/hot tubs are just gorgeous!! Community spaces as well, there’s loungers, tables/chairs, hammocks, swings. All tucked away in different areas to always find a quiet spot. Highly recommend!!!

Lovey lush property that cannot be beat. Plenty of activities, our 8 year old loved the water slide, soccer field and basketball court. There is also a paddle ball court but it was $60/hour extra. All other amenities are free. Free unlimited coffees from a machine in the gift shop was wonderful enjoyed plenty of cappuccinos! Perfect location, it is on a quiet, small side road just outside of town. We enjoyed walking down the road to get volcano pictures and the neighbourhood properties/farms. It is a safe area. The hotel itself is completely walled in, you cannot see inside the property at all until the wall slides open for you when coming and going. Staff are friendly and quick to help. They will drive you around the property on a golf cart if you like! Accommodation is individual villas, we had a luxury one with the whirlpool on the deck but they all looked private and concealed with natural flora. The room was modern and tidy. We requested house keeping clean the floor but unfortunately it was just swept or vacuumed, they don't seem to mop, the floor was filthy (made our feet black) the entire four nights we were there. I would say this is the only thing that could have been improved upon. We had a car, it was just a couple minutes to town by driving. We would absolutely stay here again as a base for exploring La Fortuna area. Pick this hotel if you want a quiet stay, immersed in plants! Restaurant had good food, free (delicious) breakfast and the servers work so hard.

Really lovely hotel! The room was spacious, the property was beautiful and green, very close to the river. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was fantastic. We stayed there for 3 nights and really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner. The restaurant staff was very helpful and gracious. Shout out to Summer from the restaurant who was very kind and friendly and provided excellent service and menu suggestions!

We chose this hotel for a one night stopover on our journey back from Osa to San Jose. We stayed in room 10 which is the top floor, it’s a massive well appointed room with huge terrace looking out to the sea - complete with jacuzzi bath. There was a small issue as we’d booked through Hotels.com and was supposed to come with bottle of wine, but this had not transferred over to the hotel’s booking system. Big thanks to Tina and Jeff for sorting it out so we could enjoy some fizz in the tub! We ate at the Two Parrots restaurant and had a lovely meal there too. In all a very pleasant last night in Costa Rica.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Tina who was very friendly, communicative, & helpful! We were celebrating our 20th anniversary & are so happy we stayed here 5 nights! We were given an upgrade to our room which was an amazing addition to our stay, we were on the second floor with a wrap around balcony with the most gorgeous plant views, white faced capuchin views and even a small peak of ocean views. The room was very clean, never even saw a bug of any kind inside the room. It was also very quiet, never heard other peoples voices or anything. Before entering the room, there is a cozy common room that has a couch with puzzle tables, a tv, a balcony to see the pool area, ocean view-perfect for watching the sunset and a long dining table if staying with friends or family would be a great area for hanging out. We ate the complimentary breakfast here a couple days & ate dinner each night of our stay. The food is absolutely delicious! It’s an Italian spin on Costa Rican food (which we had plenty of delicious Costa Rican dishes for our lunches around the different towns). The drinks were also delicious! All staff members were extremely friendly. We walked around the grounds a few nights & saw pizote’s (coati’s), macaws flying by, iguanas, leaf cutter ants, tropical kingbirds, boat billed flycatchers & of course white faced capuchins. We loved our stay!

Marala Hotel is so wonderful! I stayed there with a group of college friends for spring break and had an amazing time. The amazing owner Aamel Segal was so accommodating and kind, the staff was so professional and attentive, and the receptionist Tina helped us plan several fun excursions (monkey tours, national park tour, arrange transportation, etc.) which made our time there smooth and full of memorable experiences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool and restaurant are beautiful, and the kitchen in the bungalow was a huge bonus! Highly recommend staying here, I will be back!

We had an amazing stay. The staff was very friendly, including the owner Aamit, who is passionate about service. The pool bar was a fun place to start. The restaurant and food was terrific. If possible try to stay on Friday for the soulful band. The view was great and the rooms were peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. We saw Macaws from the balcony of our very large room, and monkeys every day at about 4 pm. Enjoy. We would definately go back.

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in the suite and the views are amazing! Also the monkeys coming to visit on our balcony everyday was a plus. We met the owner, and he was so nice and hospitable. He offered us rides and the staff was so nice and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was also the most delicious. The pool was beautiful with a great view. Everything here was amazing. I cant recommended enough.

I highly recommend this place, is beautiful and cozy, great for couples. I whent with frinds and they welcome my friends and had no problem having them stay in front of the pool talking all afternoon. It was awesome. I wish the jacuzzi was warm. Everything was great. I will come here again.

my goodness!!!!!!!! My experience was FABULOUS. 1st off if they've received a negative review I can't imagine why it must be a total nasayer. In my experience my room was quite lovely. Everything was impeccably clean the television was amazing the sliding glass doors with the view of the golf course was amazing both of the beds were perfectly made and extremely comfortable with nice linen. The towels were presented so nicely everything was fresh and clean. The little kitchen at with the microwave and refrigerator coffee maker was awesome the water pressure was excellent and with hot water. I really like how they have the bathroom separated with the sliding glass door. They're simple little details in the room that are obviously Upgraded ifelt modern. Unfortunately I came on a rainy day but I did still use the pool even though it was cold because I was so excited for it. It's a darling pool just big enough. I left for the airport too early for breakfast but I hear good things. I enjoyed the room so much that it decided to order in the gentleman at the desk assisted me with ordering Uber eats and delivered it to my room with all my tableware. I thought everybody there was just exceptional. The parking is extremely secure you need to let them know that you are going to take a space because it is behind huge gate. If you need to park on the road I do feel as if this neighborhood is exceptionally safe and I don't see an issue with parking on the street if nehad

Beautiful, private property in a lovely neighborhood, a short drive to the airport. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants and a high end grocery. The rooms were quiet, clean, modern, and very comfortable, with lovely amenities. Breakfast was delicious and so generous. The courtyard and pool area are a relaxing place to unwind after a long journey or time spent in the downtown area of San Jose. The couple who hosted us was exceptionally welcoming, and gave us suggestions with maps for where to eat, and places to go (and not go) downtown. We loved staying here and are so thankful for this experience-- will come again when we return to San Jose!

Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night around a flight to San Jose but Alameda Cariari was amazing! The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. The view of the golf course from our room was second to none! Staff went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the area felt very safe. I would absolutely recommend, and will definitely return!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and coming from NYC we were looking for some solitude, adventure, and authenticity. Rancho Pacifico was all that and more. They truly exceeded our expectations. Set high up on a mountain in the middle of a rainforest with spectacular views of the jungle and Pacific. I could sit and look for hours, listening to the birds singing. Accommodations were open yet private, comfortable, clean and eco friendly. The gracious owners Marlo & Mark, who were there during our visit, have created a classy, modern yet comfortable and relaxing ambience that allows guests to experience the true beauty of the place. The staff; Salome, Hannah, Andrey, Alex and Vianney, were attentive, helpful and consistently went out of their way to ensure that we were taken care of. Thank you all for a wonderful time. We stayed at Rancho Pacifico for 4 days to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. This was our first experience at a small boutique hotel and it exceeded our expectations! Sharon and Arbid closely communicated with us well before our trip to make sure everything was set before we arrived. The staff, especially Jason and Andrey, were so attentive. Vianney was an amazing bartender. Every single meal we had was delicious and beautifully presented. The owners, Greg and Jennie, personally introduced themselves, and made us feel so welcome. We had booked our own tours separately. We did a Corcovado day trip through Bahia Adventures that left right from Uvita, saw amazing wildlife and scenery, and also waterfall rappelling through Costa Canyon. In both cases, the staff at Rancho anticipated our needs and pre-ordered breakfast and lunch so we would still be fed despite missing their set breakfast and lunch times. This extra step was incredibly considerate and very much appreciated. The drive up the mountain is no joke. A 4x4 is a must, but the view and hospitality is so worth it once you're at the top. We would absolutely come back to Rancho and will be recommending it to our friends and family.

If you are looking for breathtaking jungle mountain views with the ocean shimmering in the distance while you're being pampered in the lap of luxury, then this is your place. My husband and I spent 10 days here on our long overdue honeymoon (after 15 years of marriage), and we loved every minute. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and beyond accommodating. Our villa was absolutely beautiful, while still modern, and was cleaned twice a day while we were out on adventures or at dinner. Our villa's private plunge pool and wooden deck were perfect for just soaking in the incredibly scenery, watching Toucans in the trees, and listening to the howler monkeys. The food is delicious, and we were spoiled every meal! There is SO much do in the surrounding area, which isn't super touristy. The resort works with the local guides to create your itinerary for your stay, and are always ready to organize transportation, or hand you towels or water on your way off to your next adventure. Please just do it! You will only regret not being able to stay longer.

From the moment you arrive through the gate of Rancho Pacifico you feel at peace. The calm, serine environment makes you feel at ease. We were greeted as soon as we stepped out of the 4x4 and offered a fresh juice. We stayed at treehouse Puma and we couldn’t see another structure from our balcony. The View from the Treehouse was 10 out of 10 and all the different birds that landed right in our trees were amazing. When in the main area, Andrey, Jason and all the other staff make you feel welcome and like this is your private oasis. The drinks and service were top notch from Jason and Andrey, whether lounging in the hot tub and chilling at the Bar they were ready to assist! Alan, the general manager made himself available to us, without prompting, to make sure we were getting the best service and experience. Even the owner stopped by, greeted us by our names, to check on the service we were receiving. They coordinated 3 excursions for us and made it so all we had to do was show up. Yoga and the massage were a nice addition to our relaxing wee. The food was amazing and we were astounded to find out Chef Jonathan was only 21! Thank you Rancho Pacifico for making My husband 40th birthday one for the books for my husband, me, his sister and her husband! You are top notch.

We spent a week at Rancho Pacifico and absolutely loved our experience with them. The location and views were gorgeous. The staff were very personable and knew our scheduled excursions and made sure our travel, breakfast and lunches were taken care of. Overall, the food was amazing - we have stayed at resorts where dinner was excellent but lunch and breakfast seemed like afterthoughts. This was definitely not the case at RP - it was all delicious and varied. We appreciated that the staff truly wanted to show the amazing offerings that the local area offers, from the menu to planned adventures and daily excursions down to Uvita to explore on your own. With absolutely no hesitation, we would recommend RP to anyone wanting to be pampered in Costa Rica! The only note we would give is that the trip from the San Jose airport is about 4 hours, which can be long after a day of travel. RP arranged the ground transportation for us which we appreciated. Be aware that there will be a car change in Uvita to make it up the hill to the hotel. If/When we go back, we might take the plane ride to the closer airport to shorten that last leg.
