Amazing place! Cute little place that has been remodeled to provide very comfortable and modern rooms. Everything was new and high quality, clean and comfortable, modern and well maintained - but in a cute historic building very close to all the retaurants and sights in town. We had a suite with a separate seating area with a fire place, a deck with a private hot tub (delightful way to end the day!), and a view of the river and a bit of the bay. Lots of tasty dining options in town, and convenient parking tucked behind the building.

This is a great little stop off when we travelled the west coast of Ireland, the room was modern and clean had everything you would need when stopping off for a night in Donegal. The view from the balcony over the river was a great bonus plus there was a hot tub! Only a 2 minute walk to get into the town centre so easy access to pubs and restaurants. This was much better than a lot of 4 star hotels we stopped off at my journey through Ireland.

Wow! This place was perfect. Prosecco on arrival, hot tub located on the balcony, slide door separating the living area and bedroom, Panoramic Sliding Doors onto the balcony, marble finish en suite with a good powerful shower. The bed was super comfy and the Mrs enjoyed the make up table area too. Air Con is available (although we didn’t need it). Loved our stay and would definitely recommend!

The Cliffe is an absolutely amazing property. You have lots of privacy, convenient location. The sea view suite has a beautiful view of the River Eske. Definitely will stay there again when in Donegal.

The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Wide variety of options including custom made omelets. The room was exceptionally large and included a jacuzzi tub. Very nicely furnished. There were wine tastings, a cooking class, organized hike among different options. Wednesday nights in the fall there is a dinner Cabaret with many entertaining performers…..not to be missed. The professional, friendly and very helpful staff made our stay delightful.

This hotel was exceptional. The suite we had was just amazing, so big and all the added extras including the jacuzzi bath. The ambience around the hotel was one of total homeliness. The bar was a great place to relax and the food was just amazing. We had the full Irish breakfast and it was just delightful, roast breakfast bacon, mmmmm.

We had breakfast delivered to our room and we received a phone call to tell us it was on its way and on the time we had asked for. Totally impressed. The bathroom was amazing the large jacuzzi bath was just what was needed after a night of dancing. There was a fridge fully stocked with all different types of Alcohol and snacks to which you have to pay for. Tea, coffee and cookies are free.

My wife and I, both Canadians, found this hotel online while searching for accommodations for our vacation. It turned out to be an absolutely fantastic property, from the welcoming staff to the beautiful rooms and stunning location. The hotel itself was a little tricky to get to, but the drive was part of the adventure. And trust me, the reward at the end was well worth it. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The reception staff were warm and accommodating, and they even upgraded us from a twin room (which we had booked due to limited availability) to a spacious executive king room that had just become available. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and included thoughtful touches like fresh cream for our morning coffee and homemade cookies. We also dined at the hotel restaurant, which overlooks the lake—and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The setting was picturesque, the menu was top-notch, and the food exceeded expectations. The service team was professional, attentive, and genuinely elevated the entire meal. Without question, this was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire three-week vacation. Our only regret? That we couldn’t stay longer.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. They provided breakfast for those who wanted it, and the breakfast options were plentiful.. we were within close walking distance to the town, bars, restaurants and shopping.

Great location just a 2 minute walk to the town centre, shops & restaurants/pubs & harbour. Large comfortable rooms (booked a triple for the space) Beds were excellent. Nice bathroom & shower including toiletries. Room had a kettle & tea/coffee. Flat screen TV. Free WiFi. Paid for breakfast - £12 per person each day - excellent choice of food & really tasty. Firstly, the welcome on arrival, the young lady was so pleasant and informative. The room was gorgeous with a large comfortable bed and great shower. The hotel is very clean and the cleaning staff very helpful and obliging. We had breakfast each morning, and once again were met with happy upbeat staff. The breakfast was really good and plenty of choice.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and food was hot and fresh. We also had dinner one of the nights in chapter twenty and food was lovely. Staff were also very friendly in all areas of the hotel from front desk, cleaners, leisure centre, restaurant staff and breakfast staff. 10 min walk to donegal town ... Could not fault the hotel at all....

Loved everything about the Lough Eske Castle! The staff was friendly, and helpful! The dinner we had at the restaurant was delicious! They have a fully stacked bar. We really enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. Would definitely stay here again!!

The gardens and grounds were beautiful, our room was spacious in a 400yr old stone stable. Bathroom was luxe. All the staff were so kind and the included breakfast was incredible with a la carte and buffet included. We also enjoyed a lovely spa massage and the jacuzzi area as well as the free pool,

My wife and I stayed here for a babymoon. Our overall experience was very positive and we would stay again however, there are a few areas for improvement. We found the spa facilities lacking compared to other similarly-rated hotels: the pool temperature was rather cold and sunloungers were uncomfortable. Access to spa facilities was highly limited without paying extra (such as for the jacuzzi). Housekeeping was good, but some polishing in a few places would help. Quality of the food was excellent and staff most welcoming. Value for money overall was reasonable but not great.

Reception very professional and friendly and and a special word of thanks to Michael who brought us to the room, and upon hearing I wanted to go across to the pool and spa the next morning, returned back to the room within minutes with an umbrella given the forecast for rain. He also checked the level of heating in the room to ensure our comfort. The courtyard room was a great size and exceptionally clean, with excellent bathroom facilities with the toilet having its own door within the bathroom affording more privacy. Double bathroom sinks and ESPA and Ritual toiletries provided and ample towels. Good coffee and tea making facilities, double portions of biscuits, many accessible plugs for charging. Very comfortable large bed, seating and storage with robes and slippers. Very good and friendly service in the Father Brown bar and again lovely helpful staff at breakfast with ordered food arriving quickly and hot!!

Great Stay in the Heart of Donegal We recently stayed at the Central Donegal Hotel and had a really good experience. The location is perfect—right in the center of town and close to everything we wanted to see. The room was comfortable and clean, and while parking wasn’t included, there was a paid lot nearby that made things easy. We opted for the paid buffet breakfast, which was tasty and convenient before heading out for the day. Like many places in Ireland, the room didn’t have air conditioning, but we were able to open the window and get enough ventilation to stay comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant stay. We’d definitely recommend the Central Donegal Hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Just home from a weekend staying here with my girlfriend, there is absolutely nothing I can fault with this hotel, all staff where helpful and friendly, exquisite room which was spotless, you can come and go as you please, the bar and lounge was so peaceful and the food was amazing, great value for money and the breakfast was good home cooked food, and they don't have small portions, we rate this place 10/10 without a doubt and will definitely be returning

It was comfortable and clean. It was in a very good location very close to Bundoran and other scenic areas. Even though it is located in the centre of a town it was quiet and peaceful. Mary and her husband Ben made us very welcome and were most helpful. The breakfast was also very tasty and well presented. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.

This is a very old-fashioned Hotel it is immaculately clean and is full of history. The staff are friendly and very obliging The breakfast consists of a selection of cereals, fruit juices and fruit by a very choice, including a full Irish breakfast with as much brown bread and toast as you can eat. The meals in the restaurant are very generous in port and very reasonably priced. Mary the owner is the most helpful person and goes out her way to assist with any request, even though she was extremely busy.

We arrived at the Abbey on a rainy afternoon and were welcomed by a friendly receptionist. After 2 room changes due to separate issues, the ladies at the front desk stayed calm and welcoming. We ended up in beautiful and quiet room 218 with a view of the river. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed very comfortable. After a restful night we headed to the breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. The service at the hotel, the bar and the restaurant was always courteous and helpful. During our 5-night stay, even with the busy country music weekend, the staff was always polite and ready to address any questions. We ate once at the bar restaurant and once at the marketplace and enjoyed the food in both places. If ever again in this area we would certainly stay at the Abbey hotel.

Its a very central hotel, The room was big, clean & so peaceful, bed was so comfy. Breakfast was so fresh, so nicely presented, the chef was so helpful as was all the staff. I was able to use the pool steam room & hot tub in the leisure centre in the Central Hotel which was small but perfect

We loved our stay at the Abbey. Our 3rd floor room was comfortable and Large. We ate in the restaurant the first night and it was very good. Check in was easy and friendly but what really made our stay was the Staff! The Waiter Shea, Maître Lizzy and the Bar tender Antony….these three and all of the others are a credit to the hotel (please pass on to Antony and Shea we didn’t win the Lotto! 😂) There is Live Trad Music most nights, lots of fun! The location is perfect, parking is close by..or if you are lucky you can get a park right out the front. (Parking is free from 6pm-9 am and a few €’s during the day. There are a few good cafes in walking distance for breakfast. (We didn’t purchase the B’fast option) *tip - if you need laundry done go to M&N Laundry up the road. We got our large load of washing done in 3 hrs for €18!

Accommodation perfect clean and comfortable. Plenty of space in the bedroom and big bathroom. Food was brilliant in the bar. Didn't have to wait long for a table. Staff excellent and very helpful and friendly. Great location central to everything. Very easy and quick check in ans lots of information given.

The apartment was very spacious and clean, with every facility needed. The views were beautiful overlooking the river. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.

The place was so clean and very warm. The size of the rooms exceeded my expectations from photos. There was 7 of us all together and it was spacious , clean , and most of all very warm. The location was perfect and the food in ballyshannon was lovely . Will definitely be back here !

It is a fantastic little flat in the center of Ballyshannon, with a fantastic view of trees, the garden and a river. It is south facing with a lovely big window and is modern and comfortable. Just the right size too for two people. Not too big, not too small.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our break. The apartment was clean and comfortable and also lovely and warm. Very good shower (Into the bath). Nice balcony. Just a five minute walk into the town which has a few nice pubs both the sporty ones and also a couple with tvs switched off which can be nice also. I think that a number of the apartments have full time residents so you will notice clothes and such drying on the balconies but obviously that is no issue whatsoever.

Loved the table, chairs and outdoor space available. Soft white towels & comfortable beds with clean white bedding. Well equipped house, everything is thought about here to ensure a pleasant stay! As I was travelling with my mother who is in her 80's, we appreciated that everything was on one level. The host, Aisling, kindly advised of a lovely nearby walk which was great for myself and my dog. There is also a small quiet beach within a few minutes drive

The setting was very peaceful yet close to Donegal town. Our dog was very much at home and we all enjoyed walking locally and in the very beautiful forest which was close by. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all we needed Aisling was a friendly and helpful host

The fact the beach is so extremely close made this trip even more suitable for myself and other when we arrived, the view was amazing and we made so much amazing memories. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to spend a few nights away and at a location that is so close to so many amenities, not to mention that bundoran is approximately 30 minutes drive away 10/10.

The location was super! Close to Donegal & mountcharles and a short drive from killybegs with a forest walk and beach a short walk away! Perfect for the kids & the dog. Close to everything but far enough away that it was very peaceful. The house itself was homey and clean! 100% would stay again!

The Ros Dún House was very easy to find and get to. Michael and Geraldine were both so friendly, warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home! The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable and made for a quiet, restful sleep. Breakfast was continental, but with a large selection and everything very fresh and tasty. The location was great - just a short walk down the road to the main part of town, including the Donegal Castle which was fun to see and had a nice guided tour. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers!

Geraldine and Michael are very friendly, attentive and helpful hosts who go out of the way to please their guests. The location is fantastic being within 3 minutes of the town where there are some excellent restaurants. Access to the kitchen to make tea and coffee and obtain chocolate bars(!) is an added bonus. Rooms well equipped and very comfortable. Comfortable lounge is very useful. Breakfasts excellent. Plenty of safe parking outside the property on a very quiet road. Very good for money.

Excellent location to the town, you’re into the main area in five minutes. There is a beautiful river close by, which you cross on the way in to town. The room was very clean and comfortable, we had a great few nights sleep in the comfy bed. We had a lovely view from our window of the trees next to the river. The continental breakfast was excellent, with the option of freshly cooked eggs or porridge also. You couldn’t ask for better hosts. Geraldine and Michael were very welcoming and friendly and were knowledgeable about the town and the whole Donegal area.

Such a nice, quiet spot right in the heart of the Donegal Diamond. As soon as you walk in and the front door closes, its immediately silent even if its lively outside. The entire place appears to be recently renovated, it is immaculate. The air freshener in the stairwell smells lovely as well. Our room was great, we had a nice sitting area, mini fridge for our breakfast or leftovers, and plenty of room for the bed and walk around space even with our luggage open. The shower is a little different in that there is no curtain and the entire room is your shower, but it was easy to not splash overly and make a mess, plus plenty of hot water. The key pick up was easy at the Spar across the street, but they are strict about the check in time and there are no official places to leave your bags ahead of time in town. I highly recommend this property as it is well equipped, comfortable and quiet. Great place to relax and since right in the center of town you have piles of restaurants within 5 minutes or less. Plus the shopping is in the Diamond as well.

The location is excellent, right in the main centre of Donegal town. The room was modern, spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Great air con and heating, coffee/tea making area and small fridge also available. The wet room shower facilities were spotless and amazing! I could have stayed in that shower all day. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed in for a very long time!

Facility is in a perfect central location in town center. I walkeded right off the bus, crossed the "Diamond" and there was my hotel. I picked my keys from The Spar... the local grocery syore, post office and currency exchange. Once in my room, it was brilliant for me. Clean, modern, and largely printed instructions for safe etc. A major bonus was the refrig! I was able to make ice for cold water. If you're unable to climb stairs make sure to say so. I'm 71 in shape, with back pack and the stayed on 3rd floor . Every aspect of this facility is 5 star for a traveler. Charming, historic, bright, clean and comfortable. Extremely quiet. Late at night II accidentally locked myself out and was able to walk across the street to The Spar and an employee walked me back and let me into my room. Fire doors close quickly!

The place was clean and spacious, the bed was incredibly comfy and the shower was spacious, warm and the water had pressure. The staff is really lovely and I always was greeted with a smile. The emplacement is perfect and the price was reasonable for the quality received. The noise was really muffled for a room in a city building giving to the street, way moor quiet than a lot of flats in cities. The room size was perfect for a prolonged stay as a solo traveller and while there is no cooking equipment, there was everything needed to eat around at a correct budget. All points of interest, dining or music are at a short walking distance and the bus stop is literally across the road. If I come back to Donegal town, I'll definitely try to book the room again!

Very clean and tidy. Central location in town near all shops/bars. Spoke with owner who was very helpful and informative. Good sized room was well equipped - fridge, tea/coffee, hairdryer, safe, tv and comfortable large bed and en suite wet room. Parking short walk away, but free from 6pm till 9am, then only 50 cents per hour. Machine enables you to pay night before for parking next morning, so no having to go there before 9 am to pay. Can collect keys up till midnight nearby to check in, so no need to worry if delayed.

We stayed one night at Haywood B&B in Donegal and had a lovely experience. Dorothy, the host, was very warm and welcoming from the start. She gave us a few great tips for enjoying our time in Donegal and made us feel completely at home. The house itself was charming and full of character, an old style home just outside the town centre, about a 10 minute walk away. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with one double bed and a single bed, and a clean private bathroom. Everything was spotless and cozy. In the morning, we were served a full Irish breakfast along with cereal, coffee and orange juice, which really set us up for the day. It was great value for money and we felt very well looked after. It was a peaceful, friendly and comfortable stay and we would happily return if we are ever in Donegal again.

The owners Paddy and Dorothy were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was large as well. The bedding was good quality and the towels were soft and fluffy, the bed was very comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot. It is in a quiet location so we got a good nights sleep, with no noise from outside. The breakfast was very good all cooked fresh to order, with cereal and juice to start, followed by a cooked breakfast and toast and bread. Dorothy's homemade rhubarb jam was amazing.

Dorothy was an amazing hostess at Haywoods B&B - really an amazing lady! Her B&B is very clean, updated and beautiful, very close to the city centre. We even got a welcome free ride to town! Not to mention 😁 of Hospitality level! Really amazing and warm attitude, caring for their guests, felt that quality was a priority in this business ! Not common treasure these days anymore in my opinion so it's great to see this alive 😊 About visiting sites around Donegal Dorothy gave us plenty of information, also her husband gave us reviews on the city places to go eating and live music life. We had a great time 🎶👌 I would definitely go back to the place when visiting Donegal the next time 😁 it felt very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was served to everyone's liking. Couldn't say anything bad about the place 👆👌👍

Lovely home environment! A very hearty and delicious Irish breakfast, warm and friendly atmosphere where guests can connect while enjoying the wonderful hospitality. Very clean and creative - clearly designed to consider guests - each room has its own bath and toilet. These hosts are all in for their guests, very thoughtful, they couldn't be more welcoming and supportive of potential needs. Shared detailed info on travel and sights, offered study space and pick-up during rain. Nice view from bedroom!

Dorothy and Paddy are the best hosts, very friendly and attentive to every need. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked individually to our preferences. The rooms are fresh and clean, no odor of mustiness. The shower is very nice, great water pressure and temperature. Dorothy and Paddy helped us with our day trip, making the arrangements for us. The house is just a short walk from the town. Well worth the walk. We would stay again.

We ate in the restaurant which is in the main hotel and overlooks Lough Eske where the options are 4 course fixed price or a tasting menu. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was included in the room rate. In addition to the usual cooked breakfast there were fish and omelette options and croissants, cereals, cold cuts etc. The staff had the right balance between being friendly, good humoured, courteous and professional. The area is ideal for walking and there is lovely scenery. Overall this was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Simply superb. We had a three night stay. The Lodge is approximately 300m from the Harveys Point Hotel which is where you need to go on arrival to check in and get your key cards. There are no permanent staff at the Lodge. Harveys Point Hotel is a really top class venue. As guests in the Lodge you have full access to all of the Hotel facilities, bar & bar restaurant, restaurant and most importantly of all, the full breakfast offer. You probably won't find a better breakfast offer in all of Ireland. Fantastic staff who treat you the same as if you were booked into the most expensive room in the Hotel, lakeside location, peaceful. The rooms in the Lodge are 'cabin' style so don't expect lots of space but it is adequate, nice en-suite and fully serviced daily. The Lodge also has a lounge area with plenty of books, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and a terrace with tables and chairs and lake views.. We will definitely return to this facility, perhaps even push the boat out and book into the Hotel. If that is too expensive for you, stay in the Lodge and take advantage of the Hotel facilities.

When booking this place we had no idea where it was situated, we booked based on the look of the building and the price was good. We were blown away by the beauty of this place once we realised where we were! Quietly nestled on the hill you get a gorgeous view of the lake from the super comfortable seating area and also the view of the hills surrounding the lodge. Check in is down at the main hotel where you will be given a very warm Irish welcome. The room was tiny but not in a negative way, everything was very clean and the bathroom looked brand new. It was cute, cosy and quiet. I’m not tall so the bed was no issue. Fancy fancy fancy sums this place up. Restaurant food is amazing and all the staff are so nice. Great cocktail list too. I can’t wait till I get to stay here again

Harvey's Point is situated on the coast of the beautiful Lough Eske near Donegal. The view from our hotel room window was amazing. We only stayed there for one night but we had a great experience for the short time we've been there. We had dinner at the Bar & Terrace restaurant, the food was really good. After dinner, we sat at the bar for a couple of drinks.

The hotel was unsurpassed. The staff were a delight, the grounds of the hotel were beautifully maintained as was the interior, comforting fires, plenty of space to relax and a lovely view, lodge room clean and comfortable and Lindt Easter treats much appreciated, dinner in the bar was excellent and the breakfast was amazing. Overall it was fantastic, will go back just to relax around the hotel itself.

Such a fun and unique place to stay right in the heart of the town. You can enter through the bar or through a separate door 24/7 which you’re given a key for. Our room was so clean, spacious, had a huge hot shower, and an awesome view of the square. Super quiet at night and you can walk everywhere!

Reveller Lodgings and Bar were our absolute favorite stay during our trip. Not only was the space roomy and well lit, but also we had the pleasure of spending dinner and drinks with the Reveller Bar lodgins staff and customers who were extremely welcoming and fun. Great location and a fun hangout at the bar below. I highly recommend this stay.

Great location, friendly welcoming staff, guided to our room. Bar/Sports/Live music below which was really handy. Room was modern, spacious, warm & cosy and I got a Birthday treat from the staff. Would stay again.

Nice location in the center. The room was large and appeared to be freshly renovated. It was large, comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was great. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There was a separate entrance for the rooms above, but I used the pub because it felt like being part of the Irish culture.

I highly recommend. A fabulous BnB!

We had a wonderful stay at Farmleigh House. Excellent location with Donegal Town less than a 10 minute walk. Paul was a fantastic host, very helpful & friendly. Accommodation was clean and tidy, with the bonus of a washing machine and dryer, which was great after a couple of weeks traveling. The sister premises the Harbour Restuarant & Bar have exceptional food and service, the best we've had in Ireland so far. Hosts were welcoming and friendly Would have absolutely no hesitation in returning to either.

Safe and very quite area. Great car parking, exceptionally clean.The hosts offer a 10% discount at their restaurant in Donegal where the food was delicious and staff very friendly. We would highly recommend this property.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was nice and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. The bar was very welcoming and relaxing, the beer was lovely and the bartender Niamh was the gem of the fiddle stone , really friendly and helpful!!

The cabin was very clean and cosy and also very warm we had everything we needed in the cabin Jennifer was so nice and very helpful and friendly the location was spectacular so peaceful and quiet I would recommend it to anyone it was wonderful we had the best time hoping to go there again 🥰 the surrounding was wonderful and she also had a very friendly Dog called Maggie 🥰❤️

The location, the tranquility, the peace. The place itself was absolutely beautiful. The garden was lovely with stunning flowers and a tree that the birds just loved as she had feeders up so sitting at the picnic table was a joy watching them. Really comfortable and clean, very spacious. Jenny is such a wonderful woman she really made our stay amazing. She went and sorted out things for me for my partners 50th which was above and beyond anything i expected. A truly beautiful woman. Her family is exceptional they made us so welcome and her husband took my children for a ride on the tractor which absolutely made their time even more special. Her daughter also played with them she is such a warm hearted young lady. I would definitely recommend staying here. Oh and the fresh baked bread and eggs you wouldn't get it anywhere else. Thank you for a magical weekend ❤️

Everything was great right from the start. we were greeted by Jennys lovely dog Maggie. jenny showed us everything in the room and provided us with lots of snacks and fresh eggs milk and bread, all of which were unreal. The room itself was spotless and the garden was so peaceful and quiet, with great views. location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and attractions. Couldnt fault it at all. Was our first time away as a family and it couldnt have went any better. will definitely be back!

We had the best few days staying here Jenny is an angel and went above and beyond for us, from the basket of treats to fresh eggs and fresh baked bread on arrival to including my kids in feeding the animals. Waking up to the stunning views and beautiful garden every morning was a highlight for me! The cabin itself was spotless clean and very warm and comfortable, has everything you need for your stay. We will definitely be back again 😊

The log cabin was very cosy and comfortable with a private garden area and lovely rural view. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. She left us a generous basket of items to make our own breakfast, including homemade bread and freshly laid eggs. If you are looking for a peaceful location in the Donegal countryside, then we would highly recommend Robin's Rest.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, a real home from home! Ann is so lovely and friendly and takes great pride in her home. The room was beautiful and so comfortable, spotless and very modern. Internet access no problem. Definitely 5 star B&B. Breakfast is chosen the night before from a very varied menu. On street parking was never a problem outside the house. Very quiet at night. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Ann and Bernie! Hopefully see you again, Marian and Robbie.

Very large room, spotless clean. The B&B is perfectly located, just a 10 minute drive from the coast with a beautiful beach and tidal island. But even more important is the lady of the house. She is so kind and helpful and always there to answer any questions. And the perfect full Irish breakfast!

She had sent the code for the key box located next to the door of the cabin so we were not too concerned about arriving later in the day at 7:00pm. Ann, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. It was very modern with a full kitchen that included a clothes washer (no dryer, the clothesline was out back). This is not a B&B but instead a self-catered cottage. Comfy bed, good water pressure. The ‘front porch’ was a large, paved driving/parking area that had a great view – nice place to sit with my morning coffee. The we then drove into Donegal, parked, and began walking around the center square (which is really a triangle) looking for a place that was still serving food. We found what appeared to be the only restaurant that was still open that was still serving, The Market House Restaurant in the Abbey Hotel.

the location was only a 5 minute drive from Donegal town and very close to the beach. it was the perfect little hideaway for a luxurious sunset in the garden and the property itself was spacious. The host was very helpful and only a message away for when we didn’t know how to use the heating.

Robin’s Nest was a self-catering apartment. It had all the amenities for a very comfortable stay and was spotlessly clean. Ann was a great host - proactive with communication and very friendly and welcoming. It is close to Donegal town but very private and peaceful. Would recommend a stay here!

Only one suggestion: the coffee at breakfast is just powdered Nescafe, which is pretty bad. The owners would do well do invest in a real coffee machine. But maybe they don't much call for coffee and people moistly drink tea.

Had a lovely time staying at the Atlantic Guest House! It is the most adorable and charming lodge, Lorainne greeted me when I checked in and was an excellent host. She provided all the information I needed for my stay. My room was very clean and comfortable and private! The breakfast was perfect with a variety of options. The lodge is very close to restaurants, bars and shops, all around a very convenient place to stay when visiting Donegal Town.

The host was so helpful and kind. She gave me change for the parking meter. The room was large and spacious for myself and three children. The staff were so helpful at breakfast time and offered alternatives. The guesthouse is central to the town and close to all shops, restaurants, castle, etc.

Location was right in centre of Donegal town very close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was great freshly cook and plenty of it. Room was clean with a television, hand basin and beds very comfortable. We had a shared bathroom and shower room on the same floor. Unfortunately I am not able to get in a bath. The shower room was quite small with a toilet in the same space. As a toilet visit meant going down the hallway I would suggest taking a dressing gown

The Atlantic Guest house is excellently located in the centre of Donegal town. The rooms we booked were more than adequate for our needs and had a shower and toilet. The bed was comfortable and staff were always friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked and had a good selection. This to me is a traditional Irish, friendly, family run guesthouse.

The house and the location was fantastic and beautiful. We traveled with another couple and we shared one bathroom with a lovely tub and shower (which had very good water pressure). There is a half bath downstairs so one couple could put their bathroom supplies there. It was the only place we stayed (5 locations in 13 days in Ireland) that had ice cube trays in the freezer to use and refill; I absolutely LOVED that! Thumbs up for this lovely place. We did not use the kitchen, but ate breakfast at Kitty Joe's Cafe (Main Street, Mountcharles) and The Harbour restaurant and bar in Donegal. We highly recommend going to Kitty Joe's Cafe before you visit the Secret Waterfall, Muckross Head and the Slieve League Cliffs all within driving distance from this wonderful home.

The location was beautiful with a sea view, looking out over what looked at a glance like a lake but is actually an inlet from Donegal Bay. Also easy to get to, about 5 minutes drive on smaller roads off the N15 main road. The house itself was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped for a self catering family stay and the sitting room had an open fire with fuel already there.

Marvellous stay, Large comfortable room, great view, very good communication for check-in and the hosts were super helpful with all our questions and requests. Very good continental breakfast. Wifi slightly shaky. You need a car, for us it was the perfect base for three nights to explore Donegal, Slieve League, Sligo etc.

A wonderfully located bnb with a charming and knowledgeable local host. A clean and comfortable room which is a perfect base for a weekend surfing in Rossnowlagh or for exploring Donegal. The breakfast room had a fabulous view and the continental breakfast had everything you could want and a bit more 😀.

The shared bathroom was kept spotlessly clean and was close to my room. The host, Steve, was friendly and welcoming and provides a very nice breakfast as well as coffee/tea at any time. This is the second time I have stayed here and I would choose to stay here again.

Super quiet location, great river views and very short walk (3/4 mins to town centre ) I did not have a car this time but parking looked easy . Every thing left out for a good buffet style breakfast. fresh every day. Owner Stephen, not intrusive in any way .Stayed there over St Patricks Holiday Weekend and really was well pleased, House very clean and great location in quiet part of town .

A lovely, small B&B, on the river and only a few blocks from Donegal City Centre. Immaculate bathroom with plenty of hot water, Continental breakfast included, self serve and waiting on the morning in the charming breakfast room. Steve, your host, is very welcoming and kind, answers any questions and dedicated to making your stay enjoyable, comfortable and memorable.

Loved the location looking out onto the river, very close to bars and Restaurants was literally a 2minute walk Weather was amazing also, and stevie was very professional and very friendly and helpful we will back. For sure :)

We enjoyed our short stay at the Bridges B & B in Donegal. Steve is a friendly host. The room was upstairs at the front. It was well presented, clean and comfortable with a nice view of the river. Easy walking distance to the centre of town. Public on street parking at the front. A couple things to note. The breakfast is self service with a good range of options. There is no TV in the room however there is one downstairs in the breakfast room.

Everything!! Absolutely amazing room, rest rooms, shower, kitchen and living room. So private and quiet place. There are a breakfast ready but you not paying as extra what's amazing, we are more than happy!!!!

The property is new and on a quiet road a short drive to the small town with poor reception, wifi was good once it was restarted. The accommodation offers a large well equipped share kitchen and dining options which means you are relying on other guests to clean up after themselves. There was a washing machine but it was full as it too was shared. The large clean room came with an ensuite. The house was the noisiest house I have ever stayed in even though other guests were trying to be quiet you could hear them walking, coughing, moving in the rooms beside you. The doors opening and closing and anyone on the stairs even when moving carefully was very loud. If you sleep solidly you should be fine.

This house is amazing!! It looks really new. It's ideally located about 10 mins outside Donegal town. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Arrival instructions were simple and well explained. My room (No.1) was huge, as was the en suite. The bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep. I was only staying 1 night but will definitely return. 5 star's

Just Fabulous! Beautiful modern house with the most spacious bedroom and bathroom and even a walk in wardrobe. The kitchen facilities were excellent as were the lounge and dining room it really was a home away from home. Comfortable bed and good shower. Was awesome to have the laundry to wash and dry our clothes halfway through our trip.

I love the fact it is so reasonably priced and close to restaurants and shops but far enough the nights are quiet. The views are phenomenal as well outside.

Such a peaceful place. Very comfortable and relaxing. The dog had plenty of safe space to roam.

The cottage was ready for us, even with an early arrival. The cottage was clean, comfortable and completely stocked with kitchenware. We were able to enjoy time sitting on the front patio enjoying fresh air and view.

Cottage house; no breakfast included! The house is central of Slieve League, Ardara, and Donegal surrounded by beautiful scenery, and yes, windmills; ie, Windmill Cottage! House was as advertised; everything required was available; initially, we had difficulty with the WiFi, but the host, Karen, was able to re-boot and life was good. We would definitely stay again!

It is a really lovely cottage!!!! It is perfect for families or groups of friends. It has more than you need for a great holiday. The host is very friendly and helpful. We will repeat for sure!!!!

Our short stay at Riverside House was very pleasant. Lovely clean comfortable room with en suite. Brendan the host was on site when we arrived and was very helpful giving information on where to go for traditional Irish entertainment. He even gave us a ride to a local cafe/restaurant which he recommended...Marana's. They served very tasty food which was plentiful and reasonably priced. The Reel Inn just across the road have live music entertainment every night with a lively atmosphere. Riverside House is the perfect location for a couple of nights stay in Donegal. Set on the edge of town close to all amenities. We would return for another short stay.

Everything, on the morning before checking in you get a lovely message welcoming you, instructions and video of the self checkin service. We loved the self checkin. No waiting, no needless information just in and to your room. The room is nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. Bed very comfortable. We loved the location, bar 2 doors away, town within a few minutes walk. Tea, coffee making facilities. Couldn't have asked for more.

Excellent location. Literally steps from the beautiful River Bank walking path, the town centre, and all the beauty and charm of this little quaint town. The management promptly responded to my texts and was really helpful with luggage storage before check-in and after checkout so I could wander around without worrying about my luggage. Clean and tidy Room #3 and really comfortable bed, excellent shower.

The property was absolutely spotless,it was great to get a comfy bed ,so quiet .We felt really safe in our room as each room has its own code to get in .This house was so central 1 minute walk over the bridge to town centre ,we will definitely be back and hopefully this accommodation will be available 💚💚

O'Donnells was a very comfortable place to stay, fantastic that it was SO central in the middle of the Diamond in Donegal Town, the view was fab from the window, the room very clean, the staff very helpful, and there was a bar and restaurant where you could get both food and drink, what more could you ask for! In actual fact, we intended to stay only ONE night, liked it SO much....we stayed two, which the helpful staff made SO easy to arrange! There were great nearby scenic walks and the Boat trip was Brilliant....we had a great stay...and hope to do it ALL again soon!

In the heart of Donegal. Walking distance to shops, grocery stores, coffee shop, restaurants & bars. Paid 2 euros to park in lot behind bar, which was well worth it. Staff was welcoming even though bar/restaurant were busy.
