The staff were EXCELLENT. A huge thank you to Benjamin who was extremely kind and helpful with recommendations about Evora and with helping us get settled, and the restaurant staff were all very helpful, kind and friendly. The location is stunning, we loved the convent, it's history and how it's key elements were retained but the stay was still luxurious. We also enjoyed the garden, the restaurants, bar, and a great breakfast daily. It exceeded our expectations. We wish we had more time here! Stay in the convent side, the new part of the hotel is way too modern to provide any historic vibe.

From the moment I arrived at Espinheiro, I knew I was in for something special. Check-in was smooth and welcoming - room was spacious with a nice garden view. The amenities were exceptional and breakfast buffet was another highlight, featuring everything from fresh tropical fruits and made-to-order omelets to locally baked pastries and fresh-pressed juices. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the service. Every staff member, from the concierge to the housekeeping team, went above and beyond. It is a place I’ll return to without hesitation and recommend to anyone seeking a memorable stay.

The hotel is a perfect venue for a wedding, which we attended. Breakfast was exceptional. Other meals very nice. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking easy and safe.

Overall a good hotel. Friendly staff, spacious common areas, well landscaped pool, good breakfast and very good buffets. Rooms are clean but tea/ coffee making facilities would be welcome. AC did not work which made it uncomfortable on the very hot days (41° during our stay). Lots of families so could be a little noisy. However, for us it was perfect as we had our own child.

This was one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. The historic convent setting is extraordinary, from the hand painted tile walls in the cathedral to the former winery now serving as the main dining room. And the spa wing with its lovely rooms with walls of glass over,poking the grounds and an indoor pool and jacuzzi was great as well.

This property is amazing. Truly a unique place to stay in an old convent, the property is spotless, rooms are spacious, staff were awesome. We Enjoyed the grounds and the peacefulness. If I could give this a 10 I would. The breakfast in the Divino restaurant was a nice surprise and the best buffet breakfast we have ever had. They had assorted breads, specialty cheeses, meats, hot and cold items, fresh squeezed orange juice, buy the best surprise was a huge block of fresh honeycomb. Call way ahead for dinner reservations at the Divino, we were too late, but had two delicious meals at the Olive restaurant great pastas and thinnest and yummy pizzas. Be sure to walk around the property after dark, it’s gorgeous. They had a free Evora tour on Sunday morning. There was only six of us and it was fantastic. Wines and meals at their property were very reasonably priced.

This is a beautiful and very relaxing hotel. I debated whether to stay in the historic center of Evora or stay here. I am so glad i made the choice of this hotel. It was such a peaceful setting and easy/quick drive to the town. We ate dinner our first night in the bar/lounge are and it was quite delicious. We also had lunch at the outdoor pool cafe the next day and really enjoyed that. The breakfast buffet was very generous and tasty. We had a deluxe modern room. It was very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend Convento do Espinheiro!

Convento do Espinheiro Historic Hotel & Spa is truly an exceptional place to stay. The hotel is the main part of beautifully restored almost breath-taking complex. Rooms are well furnished, with comfortable beds, extensive storage and well equipped bathrooms. It is located in fully restored Convent, including a beautiful church and extensive grounds. The staff were efficient and effective and a pleasure to talk to. They were most helpful in regards to recommendations for visiting the area and willingness to provide detailed information on the history of the facility To celebrate my 82nd birthday, I reserved a suite and it proved to be a wonderful present. We occupied room 207, with 2 balconies, a large sitting area with a separate half bath, and nicely furnished private bedroom with a large bath off the bedroom. The furnishings and decorations are first class - simply magnificent. The Simmons king sized beds was supportive and comfortable. The spacious main bathroom included a walk in rainforest shower, separate bathtub, a selection of exclusive amenities and two complimentary bathrobes and slippers for absolute comfort.Everything worked just fine.

Beautifully kept property, comfortable rooms and the most amazing dinner at Divinus. Breakfast spread excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great pools, both outdoor and indoor. Best to stay the short 8 minute drive from city center, in this peaceful location

We booked a Superior Double Room with breakfast for 3 nights, but had the good fortune to be upgraded to a Deluxe Double Room upon arrival. This grand first-floor room with a domed ceiling was spacious, quiet and had a small balcony overlooking the courtyard pool. We found the extra-large bed and pillows to be comfortable. The buffet breakfast included delicious made-to-order options such as omelette etc. Staff were friendly and attentive. We could not fault this hotel and would definitely recommend the Deluxe Double room and hotel to our friends.

Mourasuites is a delightful little hotel! It has a very cosy lobby and although the hotel is small they operate a restaurant within it! And likely because of that, the breakfast is simply AMAZING! A fantastic cold spread of hams, cheeses, pastries, and fruit. They even had chestnuts! And it doesn’t stop there! They also allow guests to order a hot freshly cooked breakfast item - omelette, eggs, bacon, pancakes or French toast! It was simply the best and most impressive breakfast we had on our 2 week trip in Portugal. We had a ground floor room one of a few that surround the small swimming pool. The room was extremely tiny, although it was spotlessly clean and had everything that is needed including bathrobes and slippers. If it was a tiny bit larger it would be perfect! Still it was very very good and we really enjoyed our 1 night stay. We should also give a shout out to the reception staff who are both friendly and helpful.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The hotel was spotless, beautifully appointed, and centrally located. I stayed in the Deluxe Room, and th room was exquisite -- super comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was out of this world - a varied and fresh buffet along with hot options to order from a menu. The restaurant on the premises served terrific food. The staff were attentive, professional and friendly.

Exceptional stay in a great location at Evora! From the outside you see a regular building in front of a nice plaza; but when you go in it is a beautiful hotel with very nice decorations and great welcoming staff. Furthermore, the room was the best in my Portugal roadtrip (I stayed at 7 hotels). Very good size, high ceiling, modern decoration, huge bathroom, good air conditioning, very clean, view to the plaza in front. The breakfast was from very good to great. There were several plate you could order a la carte plus the buffet. Limited size dinning room but they organize the guests by 1.5 hour time slots. They ask your preferred time slot upon arrival. Staff was very attentive. I had to leave 5am to catch my flight at Lisbon and they kindly prepared a breakfast to go bag for us. They have their own parking but 10 min walk, which was not bad. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. It was conveniently located to walk around Évora. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly, breakfast was great with many choices and fresh items. The rooms, although a bit small, had good storage and the beds were comfortable. Parking in front of the hotel to drop off luggage is a little tricky but it seems everyone just pulls partially onto the sidewalk without a problem. The parking lot is safe and a few minutes walk down the street. I would definitely recommend.

The location is perfect so you don't need to use car to get to the main historical places. There are plenty of good restaurants around. Each room has its own wc and 2 of them have bathrooms, which allows for privacy. Clean and cozy. Amazing balcony with very nice views to start your day ;)

We loved everything. It's a very central location. The house has a good terrace with a nice view of the old city. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable. Alice was very friendly and helpful.

We like this apartment. It was clean and comfortable. It was a short walk to restaurants and shopping. The kitchen supplies were good and the bed was comfortable. We had the apartment with no balcony/terrace.

Bath is narrow with toilett, but new shower suits perfect. enough towels were fresh extra small bed rioom was quiite and we could sleep with fresh air by partial opened Windows.

recently renovated apartment on two levels provides space and privacy with 2 bedrooms and three bathrooms, best part was amazing large terrace with comfortable furniture and beautiful view, great location as well.

This apartment, located in one of the many historic streets of Evora, is thoroughly modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The two bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment and both have private access to full bathrooms with showers, great for two couples. The modern kitchen, dinette, and living room feature an open concept design. Thanks to Alice for being a helpful, responsive, and accommodating host. There was plenty of information in a binder on things to do, nearby shopping, as well as recommendations on restaurants. Alice ordered taxis for us on our departure day, which was greatly appreciated.

Great location, where everything is within a comfortable walking distance. It is a clean, small and cozy property fit to 2 people. There is a plenty of easy parking (pay and free)around the property! Communication with the host through booking.com message was quick, clear and welcoming. If you are looking for a simple, comfortable and clean accommodation in a great location, this is the one in Évora!

A spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, very well equipped and perfect for a family of four. A large walk in shower in the ensuite bathroom off the main bedroom. Very reasonably priced. Quiet neighbourhood close to the university and easy walk into town. Very clean. Easy access using a code rather than a key.

Good location in town, not far from coffee shops, but only 5 to 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. Comfortable apartment with everything we needed. Good communication and help when needed. Good instruction book with restaurant and tour suggestions. Thanks, Alice, for a great stay!

Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Conveniently located between the central square and the main attractions, we were able to easily walk everywhere. Alice promptly responded to all communications.

Location - pure Alentejo! Peaceful, quiet, relaxing! Design throughout very well considered. unbelievably comfortable and beautiful spa, pool areas, & organic garden. So fresh, such clean linens, rooms, bath etc Fantastic bonus pillow choice service. Very thigh full bowl of fruit and little handwritten note of welcome ( nice touch) an even better touch was the ice cold scented hand-towel 👌🏻 Food is top notch in quality, quantity ( generous) and great variety … ( whether dinner or breakfast) Freshest! Bikes available - great for sunset rides.

We hired a villa for 4 nights in April for two adults and two young children (age 9 and 7). We just wanted to relax and explore the local area - the town of Évora and the surrounding countryside, including the cork oaks and ancient olive trees. Apparently it’s really hot in summer (35-40C)… even in April it was peaking in the mid 20s C. The villa was very spacious, with two good-sized bedrooms, and well-equipped, including a kitchen. The outside area was private, good for relaxing by the pool with views of the countryside. Our children loved the farm and the kids’ play area. There were lots of tame animals for petting - goats, sheep and a pony. The kids’ club was well organised and our children enjoyed some the activities - pottery and pizza making. We chose the hotel because it had an indoor pool (the outdoor pools are too cold in April!) Pool was a bit small but did the job - we went every day. Restaurant food (including the breakfast buffet) and service were generally quite good, especially the grill menu, but the bar and restaurant lacked a bit of ambience. Possibly the wine could’ve been more free flowing! The local old railway line is a great spot for cycling and running. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would recommend the hotel - fairly good value for money and something different from the Algarve!

We didn’t expect much, but it was such a pleasure to stay here! Everything was exceptional! The warm welcome, the great location with lots of things to do at, kids friendly and client-oriented! Really nice breakfast buffet. The room was also great, with all the facilities needed, spacious and clean! We highly recommend this place!

We had the most amazing time at Octant Évora. Thank you!! We were travelling with our 1 year old daughter and this is the first truly family friendly hotel we have ever been to. There were toys and play areas everywhere. Small details like microwaves, bottle warmers etc. baby monitors. Everything was made so easy. The hotel itself is lovely and feels very luxurious. There is one pool for kids and three separate adult only pools which are beautiful. We left our daughter napping and enjoyed spending time in the adult pools which are small and intimate - we mostly had a pool to ourselves which was amazing. The hotel has great grounds, animals you can meet and a lovely lake walk. Staff were super friendly, helpful and generally brilliant. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with young families, but anyone could have a nice time here

Stunning hotel and excellent facilities. Very helpful staff, especially kind - my wife suffered a horrible cold and they were very solicitous. Big, comfortable room with great view. Excellent restaurant with interesting menu. The combination of the classic Alentejan Duck Rice recipe, matched with some delicious Iberian pork loin, was outstanding. Great facilities. Lovely garden, with home-grown vegetables and herbs.

We were greeted kindly and the staff gave us a map and made suggestions for our visit. The hotel is very well located to reach all of the historical places and restaurants we were interested in. We are very pleased about the reasonable rate they charged. The room was spacious and well appointed with closets, drawers and hangers as well as a tea kettle and various teas and instant coffees. We like the sleek modern decor using light colored wood and a smoothly finished concrete floor. There is a nice sized balcony with table and chairs and a comfy chair as well overlooking a courtyard. Excellent shower and w.c. Layout. We had a drink and a snack at the bar area. We loved the modern wooden spiral staircase which is a major focal point. We used it many times instead of the elevator!

A lovely modern hotel in the heart of historical Evora. Walking distance to everything from churches, museums, and outdoor parks. There is an abundance of restaurants to choose from in close proximity to the hotel. Staff is lovely. Buffet breakfast delicious and underground parking which is an added bonus especially with a rental car. Our bartender was so accommodating and also worked in the restaurant. Rooms are small but very comfortable. The hotel is very quiet. We would definitely return!

Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. It’s modern and there are lifts and a nice bar/food area. Staff were hospitable and friendly. Comfy bed, powerful shower. What swung it for us was the underground parking, very handy! There is a super park just a minute’s walk away too, a great place to chill.

We spent two nights in Évora and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, modern, and spacious, with the added bonus of a terrace. Breakfast was good, and the underground parking garage was very convenient, with an elevator that goes directly into the hotel. There were also plenty of generously sized parking spaces. Upon check-in, I requested additional hangers and was told that each room is allotted only four—though I was lucky to have five in mine. I also asked about bathrobes and was pleasantly surprised to receive two. However, when I requested a box of tissues, I was told that the hotel doesn’t provide them at all, which was unexpected ANY a hotel of this standard. Despite these minor inconveniences, this is a solid hotel choice with a great location—perfect for walking into the old town.

This is a very nice hotel right inside the wall. It has a great location to all the sites in the old city. The room was of good size. The bathroom was also good size and had a tub. The bed was huge - king size I guess! The breakfast is extensive - fruit, meats, juice, tea/coffee, cake bread, jams, and made to order eggs and pancakes. While I am not sure about all the rooms, but one definitely needed to walk up stairs to get to the room. Just fyi for those that may not be able to do stairs. The breakfast is good but I’m not sure if the coffee machine was the best choice. The machine required one user at a time to pick the type of coffee they want and then wait for it to be made. At our breakfast, there seemed to be an issue with the coffee machine which caused a backup. That finally got fixed. I wanted hot water for tea but had to wait for the coffee people to get theirs. Perhaps having another machine or option would be good. Finally, I was done with my breakfast by the time they asked me if I wanted eggs or pancakes so there might be a service issue happening. While there was a coffee maker in the room, there was only one teabag for the two of us. I guess they are more used to coffee drinkers. We got tea from the bar but it would have been nice to just have tea in the room. We took an uber from the train station. It was like 6 minutes. We walked to the bus station. That took 15-20 minutes - better to walk right outside the wall because it has better surface.

We had a very nice stay and were sad to leave. The rooms are spacious and very well-maintained. Housekeeping was quite unobtrusive and did a good job. We enjoyed the included daily breakfast which offers a small selection of items plus made-to-order eggs and pancakes. In the late afternoon and evening, you can sit in the terrace or bar area and sip drinks and order food as well which we did our first night. The hotel is located just within the wall of the old city so is close to the various sites. It's an easy 7-10 minute walk to the furthest sites. Nearby are numerous restaurants, stores, etc. Parking can be a bit tricky as there are a couple of spaces on the road plus a 10 car underground garage accessed through the courtyard via a very steep driveway. If you were planning to drive in and out multiple times a day, I would suggest parking in the lot just outside the city wall as it saves you having to drive through half the old city just to get out of it. While the tour books recommend one full day in Evora to cover the sites, I'd suggest adding a day to give more time, do a wine tasting, check out the museum, and so forth. That along with a nice dinner somewhere plus another stay here can make for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

We booked the "Double Room with Terrace" (Rm 17). It was quite large with a nice terrace which overlooked the internal courtyard & views to the west. The bed was comfy, the room was nice & the bathroom was nice with standard shower, toilet & single sink. The staff were very friendly & helped us find a restaurant for lunch when we arrived & provided us with a town map & outlined where all the highlights were located. They also arranged a 90mins city tour for us with a guide (40 Euro) Location was inside the old city walls which made it an easy walk to the sights & town centre, & no serious hills (like in Lisboa). Breakfast was a buffet & catered for all requirements. They cooked eggs 3-4 different ways to meet your needs. Underground parking was very handy as we had a car - this cost us 10Euro per day.

Quiet hotel in a great location. All the staff were brilliant, knowledgeable and helpful with plenty of local suggestions. Room was lovely, quiet and great water pressure in shower (over bath). Comfy bed and extensive beakfast provisions. Bar and food options in the bar were also good if you need to have a night in, but close to many good, authentic restaurants. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. They made dinner reservations, got us hooked up with a very interesting walking tour, were knowledgeable about the town and environs. The courtyard was very nice, a peaceful place to relax, and the breakfast was excellent. I went to the lounge and read one night...a perfect, comfy spot..

Great concept to build the hotel into a pre-existing village. We loved how peaceful it was. The room had everything we needed, with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and small kitchen which was adequately stocked with necessary items. AC and wifi were strong. Parking is simple and the location is just 20mins from Evora. Worked out great for our one night stay. Staff was very sweet as well.

Everything was perfect. Location: 5 min walk to city wall, 10 min to city center. Staff very nice and attentive. Parking: In front and at the back of the hotel are spaces reserved for hotel guests, also street parking available for free, it's a residential area. Room very clean, modern style, with varanda, tea kettle, etc. Beautiful bar/breakfast room on 4th floor, great view and atmosphere and a truly fantastic breakfast buffet. There's also a sauna until 8 pm, you just need to tell the receptionist 30 min before using. We loved everything.

Great location. Staff very helpful - we arrived early hoping to store our luggage but room was ready so were able to check in right away. Room was spacious and had a small balcony which was a bonus. Pool area was clean with lots of seating / sun loungers. Had dinner in the restaurant and food was amazing. Breakfast was also delicious with lots of choice!

Stopped off here whilst enroute to Serra de Estrela. Beautiful modern hotel with just a 10 minutes walk to the old town. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern with super comfy bed and pillows. Restaurants and bars in this hotel are amazing with fantastic area on the roof with pool. Good breakfast with a selection to suit all dietary requirements.Parking is free which is located at the front of the hotel on a street. There's also a carpark to the rear but not sure if it belongs to the hotel. Highly recommended

Room is beautiful, modern, comfortable. The bed is huge and comfortable and quiet. I did not hear the busy road nor my neighbors. The bathroom is clean and modern with nice water pressure on the shower. There is also a small balcony.

A really good hotel clean and well located, within walking distance to everything. The rooms are spacious and clean. There’s an outdoor pool and an indoor pool, a fun spa area including a sauna, heated pool, and jacuzzi. The staff provided very friendly service. There’s a fun rooftop bar. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was tasty, though there were no vegetables.

This is a beautiful and first-rate hotel. I'm baffled by reviews here complaining of poor maintenance, as we found everything in perfect repair and spotlessly clean. Our room was wonderful. My only disappointment was that the jacuzzi wasn't hot enough to really be therapeutic. The steam room was a great amenity. The breakfast buffet was extensive, e.g., 7 different kinds of good Potugese cheeses, and we thought our dinner in the restaurant was quite good. If the price fits your budget, this is a great choice in Évora.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. The room was fabulous and they upgraded me to more fabulous. The spa is amazing with a heated pool, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and a sauna in addition to the marvelous massage I enjoyed. The breakfast is one of the best I've had. I really like the bartender upstairs. He's very knowledgable about wine and their various regions. And he graciously endured my not so perfect portuguese while I practice speaking and learning the language.

The hotel has an amazing location, just a few minutes walking to the city center; amazing staff, from the check in until the check out; We had the car, and the hotel offers the parking garage for the car. Really comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean , comfortable and beautiful. Breakfast in the morning was rich and good. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, amazing food and amazing staff.

My room was big and spacious and there were these two huge doors that led to the balcony that I could leave open at night to get the fresh air. In the spa there's a lovely indoor pool that was relaxing after the magnificent massage I was ablle to experince. All the staff were pleasant and extremely helpful with everything. And of course the breakfast selections were extensive and delicious. . and I was able to dine in the restaurant a couple times where the people there made the most delicious wine recommendation.

Reception staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. Restaurant was very clean and the views of the old town from the 1st floor windows was amazing. Car parking on the street was very good. Location is perfect for walking into old town. Room was amazing, with everything like new, and a lovely patio.

Location- less than 100 metres to city gate, neat, tidy and very clean. Comfortable bed, pillows ok. Walk in shower, shower gel, shampoo provides. Only 2 floors with lift and flat access into the building. Under ground free car park if you have a car. Staff lovely and helpful (mostly)… they do have breakfast option but we didn’t use. Our room also had a little outdoor courtyard and the hotel has a pool - we couldn’t use either due to weather. They even provided a complimentary large bottle of water.

A fantastic stay. I was visiting my partner in Evora hospital and the amazing staff, without exception, made me feel not just welcome but safe. I had a bit of a meltdown but they looked after me well and made me feel I wasn’t alone. As for my room: very comfy bed, huge telly, iPhone charger, complimentary water, powerful shower, fluffy towels, free underground parking and a very decent breakfast. Oh, and a few minutes walk into town (20 minutes through town to the hospital). Ten out of ten.

We arrived early and made sure to let the gentleman at reception know we were not there to check in, just enquiring about parking. We were given a very warm welcome and told not only that there was a park available for us, but, our room was also ready. There is very limited parking and it is given on a first in first served basis, fortunately, I had read the reviews and researched the town, so I was prepared. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed linen and towels are good quality and there are many sitting rooms and courtyards dotted around the hotel so it feels extra spacious. The water pressure in the shower is powerful and shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are supplied. All the staff were kind and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location is right in the centre of everything. We had a family member who doesn't enjoy walking who got to see all the sights because we were so central. Breakfast was simple and fresh, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and juices, cold meats, cheese and more. I believe The Noble House is great value for money, given you don't have to drive anywhere once you are there, the quality of the rooms and the standard of service provided by the friendly staff.

Loved the stay! The staff is super helpful and friendly. The hotel has a unique and authentic vibe. Everything is clean, the room we had was very spacious with an amazing view to an authentic narrow street of Evora. Location is very central but at the same time calm. And the breakfast was exceptional! I 100% recommend this hotel!

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the old centre of Evora, in an old building with a modern makeover. The staff were really friendly and helpful with some good tips for local dining. Our room was large with a bàlcony overlooking the town. It was very clean, quiet with a comfortable bed and good wifi. Free parking was available on-site, rare for a hotel in old towns. A lovely complementary breakfast was provided. It was within easy walking distance of all the sites in the old town.

Location was excellent. The rooms were spacious and spotless. We had a family suite with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a large common area. Each room had a small fridge and espresso machine. Very quiet and the breakfast was very good. Helpful staff. Oh - and the aroma of the blossoming orange tree out our terrace was amazing. So much to see and go in Evora. Not a place to be missed.

Just WOW. Spectacular accommodations. Friendly and very attentive and helpful staff. Wonderful historical building that's been renovated superbly. The room was terrific, and even the detail of mineral water, nuts, and fresh grapes awaiting us in our room was a lovely touch. The included breakfast was an added bonus with a broad selection of tasty offerings.

The hotel is in a central location, roughly a 5-minute walk to the main attractions. It also has private parking. The staff was very professional and really helpful when needed. The hotel has many places for relaxing, both outside and inside. Air conditioning is available in the rooms and in the common areas. Considering that the outside temperature was 38°C in the shade, this was definitely a plus. Outside, you can enjoy the swimming pool and plenty of shade. For kids, there is a small pool, less deep, with warmer water and some shade. The kids also appreciated a dedicated area for them, with many toys (including LEGO) and books. The room was clean and recently renovated, including all the amenities you usually expect (TV, Wifi, Safe, ..) Also, the hotel provides a bar in the lobby, and a private restaurant. The breakfast was very good, featuring a great variety of dishes, including fresh fruits, pastries. Note that the hotel was under heavy renovation, therefore some areas were a little bit noisy.

Loved the location within close and easy walking distance to the historic centre. The beautiful pool area was a wonderful retreat on a hot day with a super fresh pool and comfy loungers. It looks like the furnishings and decor are all new. Recently renovated and looking good. So many seating areas within the hotel to visit rather than being confined to a room. Open and airy. Our room was beautiful. Spacious with a huge deck looking out to the pool and wall of the city. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, we enjoyed meals in the restaurant and drinks from the bar. Service was great. So glad that we were able to store our bags after check out so that we could have a bit more time wandering the cobbled streets. Would stay again!

Good location, 5 minutes walk to central square. Lots of restaurants nearby, paid parking in front of hotel or in garage (€9 for 24 hours) Room was good size, bed was comfy. Coffee making facilities, fridge etc. TV had all the international news channels too. We didn’t use the pool. Breakfast buffet was decent, with usual choices.

Pristine hotel close to Town Square. (Taxi to Flixbus Station only 4 Euro). Lovely gardens and pool area. Dinner in restaurant and bar very tasty. Staff friendly and professional. (A special mention to Rafael at reception who helped with a tricky situation).

The hotel is very nice and beautiful. It is very quiet at night, great sleep quality. Breakfast is very fresh and delicious with freshly squeezed juice, fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt and also full English. Temple of Diana is 10 min walk. There is paid parking right by the hotel and free parking within 3 min walk.

Very clean and beautiful hotel, spacious room, two big outdoor pools and a jacuzzi in a beautifully designed garden with plenty of sunbeds. (there is also an indoor pool and a gym, but we didn't use it). Beach resort vibe even if no sea nearby :) The breakfast was great, we especially enjoyed breakfast outside on the terrace with pool/garden views. Location is excellent, just at the border of the historical center, so you don't need to drive/walk with your luggage in the old town narrow streets while you can easily settle down and walk to all the places of interest in 5-10 min. There is also a free parking area a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We've had a great time in Evora, I'd be happy to come back in a few years and stay there again :)

First stop in Portugal was in Evora at the Vila Gale Evora Hotel. Our experience was wonderful. The hotel was very modern with restaurant, pool and bar. It was run very efficiently and the staff was very personable and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and bed was great. Give it 5 stars. Like to thank some staff ...Constanca, Joana, Bea and Miguel, the asst. mgr. for the restaurant reservation he got for us on our last night in Evora at"Lombardo's", it was a winner.

Location was great, a little outside the city into the country but only a few minutes by car into the centre and a wonderful view of the city from our balcony. Rooms were comfortable with enough space for our needs. Breakfast was good and the hotel owner, her husband and their staff were welcoming and very helpful. The swimming pool, whilst a little chilly, was a great bonus. We had the pool area to ourselves on our recent visit.

Hotel was a short drive from town, but was well worth it. The beds were extremely comfortable, staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. we enjoyed the light/bright breakfast area, as well as the balcony in the evening looking back at the castle. Great value in my opinion.

The hotel was absolutely immaculate clean towels everyday, great touch having a fridge in the room. A very quiet location we got taxi's into town but we would rather stay here than in the centre. The pool area is immaculate with changing facilities a great hotel and so much parking. Breakfast is buffet and totally adequate

The location was convenient for our needs--not in the city center, more on the outer loop. The bed was comfortable and the towels fluffy. The breakfast was good-homemade pastries and fresh-squeezed oj.

Beautifully appointed hotel in an historic building. Very comfortable and quiet. Dinner & Breakfast were delicious and the variety of choices was wonderful. The front desk was so helpful and very friendly. The pool area was lovely and quiet the night we arrived.

Amazingly historic and elegant surroundings. The rooms were small, as might be expected for monastic cells, but comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed the breakfasts and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious. The location was perfect, walking distance for everything you would want to see in Évora and commanded a great view of the city.

We were a group of 8 cycling through the Alentejo region and this was our first stop. The convent was selected by our bike tour company and we loved it. What a perfect location for exploring Evora. We could walk to shopping and each of our restaurants and there is lots of good sightseeing. The hotel was extremely comfortable after cycling long distances and so beautiful inside. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They found a good outdoor patio for keeping our bicycles and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts each morning. We didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor pool but it looked nice. We just had 2 nights here and there was so much to see and do in the town of Evora after our cycling each day. It is a beautiful area of Portugal and this hotel is perfect place to stay.

Beautifully renovated convent, you’ll stay in a unique setting in the middle of town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Everything was very clean. The pool area was well maintained and relaxing.

The most charming hotel I had the pleasure to visit in Portugal, this is a gem. What they have done to the place is keep all the good parts from the convent architecture & historical features, and then modernise exactly what you might wish to be modern. What a success. The restaurant at the cloister has a unique atmosphere, completed with an excellent choice of Portuguese cuisine dishes. Ideal location right in front of the superb ruins of the ancient Roman Temple of Diana (view from my room), plus a few minutes walk from the historical centre, including the famous Chapel of Bones (absolutely not to be missed). Last but not least, the staff could not have been more professional -- they did everything possible to create a relaxing and friendly experience.

What a great place, it’d be amazing if all hotels were this way. Terrific front desk staff; helpful with eating options and such. Easy location with everything close, clean, quiet, comfortable room, amazing shower. There’s free parking just outside walls next to gas station/bus station.

Modern clean well run basic hotel in great location. Very clean very comfortable bed, and excellent en suite shower room. Helpful staff and garage available at extra cost but very handy.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was worth the price, good quality and all you can eat. The location is very good and plenty of restaurants are close by. The beds were too firm for one of us but not the other. The descriptions were accurate and the designers were very conscious about including environmentally friendly features such as the innovative lighting in the hallways. The room, bathroom, and linens were very clean and the AC worked perfectly.

Fantastic hotel. Basic but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Easy to find, great underground car park and a bonus that there was EV charging. The location is fantastic. A short 2 minute walk to all the attractions, bars, restaurants etc. The staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was great value.

Nice no nonsense clean hotel. Nice bathrooms, shower, towels, comfy bed. All in a fabulous close easy walking to the walled city. 10 mins max. Didn't use the breakast option as tthere are lots of reasonable cafes for tea/coffee, ham, cheese & toast for breakfast

Beautiful decor hotel in a peaceful setting. The individual pods/rooms are very large, with a seperate sitting room. The large bed was comfortable with good bedding and pillows. The breakfast was fantastic and we also dined in the restaurant and had a great dinner. The pool was lovely and warm and a super place to relax. The hotel is well located for Evora and the surrounding area.

The property was beautiful and the landscaping was lovely. The staff—especially in the restaurant—were welcoming and professional. The bed was comfortable.

Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was good, the place was very secluded and calm. The staff was friendly and polite. The restaurant is good also with great food, even though it was a bit pricy (40-50€ per person). We had some cats around to pet which is very cute. The stay was very pleasant.

We stopped here for two nights on our way from our vacation in Spain back to Lisbon airport. We chose the location based on the history of the area and also wanting to see some of the geological ancient stones nearby. Also, it’s only an hour and a half from Lisbon airport. The hotel is easy to find and has lots of parking. If your Hilton member you get to park in the underground parking lot for free. But there’s also parking outside the front door which we used. You have to pay extra for breakfast, but I suggest buying it with your room on the option page from the Hilton website. The breakfast is quite extensive and is served in a beautiful dining area. The food is wonderful lots of choices. The staff is great. The room is quite large and has a separate shower room and separate toilet room. On the fourth floor there was a rooftop bar. While we were there, it was rainy and a bit cold, but they did have outside heaters which made a little bit more enjoyable and certainly the ambiance on the fourth floor was quite nice. They served a full bar as well as snacks, such as sandwiches, etc. They do have a full menu and a restaurant on the main floor which you could use for lunch or dinner. We did have dinner here once the first night when we arrived because we were tired and the choices were somewhat limited for the entrées, but they were a bit underwhelming but OK for a hotel lobby restaurant

Superb hotel ! Looks brand new and the room had a very nice modern look to it and was spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice top floor bar/pool/lounging area, too bad is was getting a little cool outside to really enjoy the nice pool (mid September). Nice restaurant attached to the Hotel and breakfast available for a reasonable fee was very nice. Parking outside was plentiful when we were there and included in the price. 5 minutes of walking and you enter the old Evora historic area with tons of dining and sight seeing options. 5* experience ! Loved it ! Thanks!

The hotel was a short walk (10 minutes) from the train station, near the main entrance to the city wall. The main attractions in the city center were only a 20 minute walk from the hotel. It was a spacious room, clean, and with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of choices reflecting the international clientel. The room was quiet, despite being located on a busy street. The staff was helpful and friendly.

It’s in walking distance of the old town Evora. 10 minute walk from train station. Good views from the top floor bar. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast had lots of options. Seating in restaurant was comfortable. Staff were amazing. They helped me book a Cork factory tour. Awesome staff. Excellent at handling a city black out situation.

This is a new and beautiful hotel at a great rate. Our stay was so comfortable, the buffet breakfast was amazing. The only thing is when we arrived the lady at the front gave us a hard time for booking a king room which they said was only for 3 guests. We had an infant and a preschooler who shared beds with us so we said the king was enough for us but she gave us a hard time anyways. We arrived late after a long day of driving so it was frustrating. But the manager came and helped resolve it immediately, he was great he showed me the room and made sure it worked for us which we really appreciated. I think the staff can get more training on being customer friendly and flexible but otherwise the hotel is amazing. Parking is tricky because sometimes cars park infront of the entrance so you can’t enter the free parking area. Perhaps more signs or have the front desk double check the parking entrance.

A lovely, homey, renovated guesthouse with a lot of history and lots of steps. Good buffet breakfast, quiet, comfortable bed, and hot shower. Google Maps found it hard to locate, but once found, it was nice and central. In the old town of Evora, many things to explore but arriving and departing by foot from the bus and train station is difficult with luggage on the cobblestone streets (but doable) Thank you for my stay, I felt very at home, comfortable, welcome, and safe 😀

the hotel is superbly located for easy access to the main highlights and sights of Evora including the local restaurants, shops and bars. the room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was a smashing continental breakfast with highlights being access to squeeze your own fresh orange juice, a coffee machine dispensing coffee as you like it and really happy helpful staff

Historical property in the best location in Evora. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and shared the history of the property. It is amazing being able to stay in a 16th century house. You will not find such an interesting, full of character property like this in Evora, this is it!! Charming rooms, period pieces, scattered throughout the hotel. Stunning views. Exceptionally clean. Breakfast was offered in a huge room with antique furnishings. Kudos to the staff for being so attentive and helpful in every way possible. If you are looking for the Ikea bland hotel, this is not for you. The charming atmosphere would take you back to when the Noblemen's family was the owner. A very special Hotel. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here! Upon check-in we asked for a dinner recommendation. The front desk clerk asked a few questions, then made a call and had a reservation for us. Dinner was amazing! 10/10. The hotel itself is ideally located, on a quiet hill near all the attractions in Evora. We were able to park the car close by and walk to everything. Our only wish was that we had planned to stay longer in the area. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. There was a machine that squeezed fresh orange juice. Wonderful! A lovely terrace two sitting rooms provided respite. The rooms were the perfect size and the bathroom was ample for the two of us.

The staff was very friendly and checked us in quickly, allowing us to pay for the breakfast service on the spot. The room was minimalistic but super clean and had a wonderful mattress, A/C and a very hot shower. The common areas are very beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast service was extensive and featured homemade cake and fresh juice among others. We made use of the terrace at night for a glass of wine in the cool breeze, it was really lovely.
