El hotel es sencillo pero las instalaciones son bastante nuevas y las tienen muy bien mantenidas. Todo el personal muy atento y servicial. La ubicación es excelente pues el centro turístico está a 5 minutos caminando, y el trayecto es muy seguro inclusive de noche. El único "pero" es que el bar de la alberca solo da servicio hasta las 4:00 pm.

El edificio es nuevo con rincones y un patio bonitos. La habitación cómoda y un gran baño. El personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Ofrecen un magnífico café en la noche. Las fallas: baño con fugas de agua, llaves duras.TV con 2 controles y un solo canal. Una terraza con gran vista a la Peña, pero muy desaprovechada. Como varios hoteles ahí, no tiene restaurant y está alejado de ellos

El hotel nos gusto aunque muy muy pequeño y las habitaciones también, pero con el servicio y buena personalidad de su Gerente Jesus todo eso pasó a segundo termino, nos atendió de maravilla, ponía la terraza aunque solo fuéramos nosotros, si pedíamos comida el enseguida se movía para conseguirla. Sin duda regresaremos

Lindo decorado, limpio, silencioso. Súper cama y almohadas. Servicio del personal atento. La regadera chorreaba, podría estar mejor. También no hay mucho más que un cuarto y una amable sonrisa en la recepción. No tiene muchos servicios disponibles. Poco retirado del centro de Bernal

Like everything else in Tequisquiapan, it is overpriced. I was surprised to find out that you had to pay extra for using the jacuzzi.

The staff were amazing, it was comfortable, the breakfast was ok. Most important the staff were amazing, the bed was comfortable, and it was very clean.

The location is great, not very busy but at a walkable distance to the city center. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy and the staff is very friendly. Our room was quite large and very comfortable.

The suite we stayed in was beautiful. It had a spectacular view of La Peña. The little attached balcony was perfect for sitting out. Very clean place. Walking distance to everything. They only provide breakfast on the weekends. They do provide instant coffee packets, but you have to request hot water from the staff. Not a big deal unless you like your coffee early in the morning. We had to wait until about 9am, when restaurants open, to get breakfast/coffee. One deal breaker for us for was the bed. It was like sleeping on a board. Absolutely uncomfortable. I'm just glad we only stayed 2 nights. If it wasn't for the bed, I would have loved to stay longer.

Beautiful small boutique hotel with lots of details, very near the town center and still very tranquil. The patios, one with a giant rubber tree and the other with a magnificent cactus and colorful paintings are very nice. The view from the terrace is incredible with a perfect view of the Peña. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. We slept very comfortably, although some might experience the bed as being too hard. The staff is incredibly attentive. Nice touch: if you find all six of Frida Kahlo’s sayings written on the walls, you get a free keychain.

Based on a single excellent review we decided to try our luck and we were rewarded with a lovely stay in the most beautiful and spacious suite of this hotel: Room el Cielito Lindo, which has a terrace with a fantastic view of the Bernal peak. Only a few minutes walk from the village square where you can buy the best Mexican cheeses and sample local delicacies. Very attentive staff and highly recommended

The design, they have a small rooftop, with an amazing view, currently there is a night light show on the Peña, so you can see it from there. We saw it on Saturday. The staff is amazing and very helpful

This hotel is a true gem with an amazing view of Pena. The towels were nice and the water was hot! The tiles and design was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed. The staff were very helpful and kind. I would love to back! Gracias!

Hotel San Carlos is a comfortable and clean find in Tequisquiapan. The staff is very helpful and kind. Our room was lovely with a great terrace. Overall a good value for money.

Our stay was quick but the room was clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning! And a nice coffee stop about two blocks down the street.

The hotel is located closely to the downtown (as almost everything in Tequisquiapan), the area is very quiet, the pool is clean with a tepid water (though very chloride). The only thing we didn't like was a continental breakfast, which only included a fruit plate with a toast, not even cereals or yogurt.

Was in general a nice place. Very clean and staff were helpful. Description of room said there was a mini bar, none there. No drinking glasses in room. Water pressure lacks.

Within easy walking distance to downtown - little over 2 km from the trailhead leading up to Peña de Bernal on the opposite side of town. There are no signs on the street indicating the place is a hotel, but it is the second gate on your lefthand side about 100 meters down the street, when you enter from the south.

very nice house with terrace and garden. very clean, comfortable bed, shower is hot with good water stream. There's a shop very close by with everything, including alcohol.

The hotel is a hidden gem. It is a bit of a walk up a hill away from the main centre of town (approx. 10 minutes), but that's its magic. The main road and the centre of town are loud and hectic on weekends, and come to life with construction trucks during the night. Being a bit away from the bustle is great. The room was fun and quirky. The water pressure was almost too strong, and the hot water was endless. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They let us store our bags for a few hours before check-in. The common areas are really pleasant.

best deal in Bernal. just a 10-15 Minutes walk to the center. Room has everything you need, comfortable bed, nice rooftop terrace, safe parking lot included. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms have been upgraded recently so lovely, modern and clean. Outside spaces nicely landscaped. It’s a short walk to the centre, but it’s a very small town so not a problem.

The hotel was clean, and had a great view of the Peña. On our last day, I passed by the maid, and told her thank you and that there was a tip for her. But the woman at the receptionist desk had taken our key as we left the room and went in and took the tip for herself...because a few minutes later the maid went in and said she could not find the tip. I confronted the receptionist and asked her where the tip was, and she said she did not see it. It must be in the sheets, she said. She got up and left and went toward the room. It's a bit outside the QRO airport zone so you don't have the prices of those airport hotels, but it's still a quick easy drive to the airport from here. The value is extraordinary.

Alejandra, the manager of the hotel, was extremely helpful and kind. We traveled with our two-months baby and made our stay wonderful. Great quiet room with amenities and good lighting.

The experience was exceptional, coffee maker, wine, comfortable clean room and an spectacular room. Next day we had an exceptional breakfast and that peaceful and unique place. It was sad that Tony was going out into the city, but I was fortunate to have a meditation session with her. The place is magical, the experience sublime. We would never get tire of visiting El Cantar del Viento. We love the place, the service, the bed, the view and specially the peaceful energy of Tony. Thank you for making us know that we are spiritual beings having and outstanding body experience.

This is a small boutique hotel which has been designed with careful attention to detail.Its charm is in its simplicity. Our room was small but adequate to our needs.The beds were extremely comfortable. We had an amazing view of the Pena de Bernal from our corner window in front of which were 2 very comfortable chairs.The garden/terrace area is beautifully deigned as is the garden area which houses the restaurant and bar.Breakfast was included and was delicious. One possible downside is there are a lot of stairs. Also, the hotel is located high on a hill away from the center of town which is about a 4 block walk downhill.

My partner and I spent three days and two nights at El Cantar del Viento in lovely Bernal and had a truly memorable stay! The hotel itself is beautifully appointed, with stunning views of la peña and highly-curated, well-maintained grounds. The owner, Señora Tony, and her staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel’s dining area were both great! We couldn’t recommend this property enough — thank you El Cantar del Viento for making this such a relaxing and enjoyable stay! If you’re visiting Bernal, be sure to stay here!

this hotel is gorgeous!. I asked them for a romantic dinner to have for anniversary. We had a magical moment with spectacular view. When we came back they surprised us with rose petals all over and it was such nice gesture. Service is excellent. Big bathroom,very clean. The food is awesome. 10 min walk to dowtown, make sure you get confy shoes or take a taxi back they are cheap 35 pesos. The room has terrace with 2 chairs to enjoy. Totally coming back, the services is excellent. the directions they provided to get there were easy to understand and the recommendations they give me were to visit the surroundings were exquisite.

This property is stunning and the staff are very helpful. We spent two nights and loved the breakfast and dinner. After having enchiladas for breakfast we requested them for our evening meal. The views are spectacular from the rooms and many other places on the property. We used WhatsApp to communicate and order taxis. It seemed the best way as our Spanish isn’t very good. We would highly recommend this small hotel and would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful hotel that is well maintained. It is very cozy and offers suites as well as standard rooms. All rooms overlook the swimming pool. The hotel has a lot of charm and character. The rooms that are street side are a little noisy. The rooms that give to the inside of the hotel (near the pool) are very quiet. There is an on-site restaurant, with basic but good traditional Mexican food. The central plaza is a short 10 min walk, through the beautiful little town.

This a nice hotel, with pool, area for kids, surrounded by trees and a park as one of it's boundaries. The room had a rustic feel with wooden beams on the ceiling. The bed was comfortable. Nice size bathroom. Very clean. The thing that stands out was the staff, they (all) from the front staff who took such good care of us, with taxes, directions. The cleaning staff were polite and offered to help when ever we met them. A special thank you to the kitchen staff we were there for 10 days, not only did they accommodate our dietary needs GF/lactose free, but they went our of their way to perpare a variety of delicious breakfasts. The location is a short walk to the beautiful Center of Tequisquaipan. All of this this was done with us and our limited Spanish. Can't say enough about this place and the staff.

They used our first names throughout our whole stay and truly invested themselves in our experience. The pool is warm like a Jacuzzi and very clean. I enjoyed my massage, too, and I'm particular about massages. One of my favorite things was the stained glass in each room. The pizzas were big and tasty, just be sure to order ahead so they have time to warm up the brick oven. Also, this property is completely wheelchair accessible! The only negatives were the speed bumps on the street were too high for our car (free parking, btw!), and I would have appreciated wash cloths in the bathrooms. Thank you to Rafael and Leonardo and the other staff for making our vacation so comfortable!

We had the pleasure of staying at this boutique hotel for four nights last week. From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be an amazing experience. From the welcome at reception to Rafa and Jorge introducing themselves to us and letting us know they were available to us for whatever we needed. They exceeded our expectations! Jorge took us on a little tour of the center of town on the golf cart available to guests and we were picked up later on. The hotel is very close to the center, so after the first day we walked. The grounds are kept impecable and are absolutely stunning. Although our room was small it had everything we needed and was very modern and clean. Rafa lit a fire for us every night in a fire pit on one of the hotel terraces. It was so relaxing to sit by the fire and drink a glass of wine. We were at the hotel in the middle of the week, so it was very quiet. It was the perfect accomodation for us!

Great place, nice and cozy, with very friendly staff , always willing to make the guest comfortable, the hotel has very nice spots to rest and just enjoy a pleasant time. it is close to Zocalo, room was clean, the bed was comfortable!

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. We booked it because of the price and location, but it far exceeded our expectations. It has a cozy, familiar atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. With only 13 rooms, each one is exceptionally comfortable and inviting. The pool and dining areas aren't large, but they’re thoughtfully designed and very relaxing. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely stay here again! The only downside is that the parking lot has limited space, accommodating only about six cars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely, and the room well-appointed and quite comfortable. What makes it exceptional, though, is their hospitality. The owner and the staff all went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure we had a comfortable stay. We will definitely return.

Comfortable, few people, incredible SPA service, great restaurant, good beverages on the pool side. The Jacuzzi is warm due solar grids, the pool temperature is natural, no artificial warm, therefore a bit fresh but not cold.

Hotel rio helped make our first trip to mexico esay, welcoming and comfortable. We are a family of four and we were comfortable in the junior suite. Each day we were able to start our morning with a savory and/or sweet breakfast that lacked for nothing. The weekend buffet offered us hot Mexican dishes with local garnish and plenty of spice if you want it. Also, fresh juice, fruit, cereals, breads and sweet breads. As you can see the morning meal is very important and hotel rio made me very happy in that regard. The service was individual and tended to detail but not over the top so that I did not feel I could make myself at home. The open layout, with doors opening to the outdoors helped add to the homey feel. You could open your door into the garden and sunshine, of which there were plenty when we went. We did not swim because we were out all day everyday exploring but next time we are here we will make time. Our room was always clean and with plenty of hot water and amenities for the four of us.

We had an amazing stay! The staff were super friendly from check in to retrieving our car when needed to checking out in the early hours! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The room was great, very clean and perfect size for a couple. The restaurant was another nice added perk.

Clean, Good Location, honest price and a fantastic large heated Pool ! I will come back. The room are very quiet, it is a safe place and the rooms are simple but modern. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and very nice. It is a peace harbour, good base to explore the region. I did not go to the restaurant, seems to be 4 or 5 stars and expensive.

The hotel itself is beautiful, quiet and the rooms are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Large pool. The staff is very well-trained and helpful. It's within walking distance of the historic part of Tequisquiapan. Although it's not the least expensive hotel in the area, it's well worth the price. No ATM on site but there is one nearby on the same street. No laundry service but, again, there is one close by. Food in the restaurant is very good. Overall, the Rio is by far the best hotel in the area.

Upscale elegance nestled in historic town. Stayed as a large family between two rooms and loved the pools, hammocks, and very comfortable bedding. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. On-site restaurant was superb. Would stay here again 100%.

Nice room, great terrace on the roof of the hotel, very friendly staff, close to center.

This was a nice option. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. Maria at reception helped us organize a couple of tours and had good recommendations of places to go. Bernal is an interesting place. It's a sleepy town during the week that comes alive on the weekend. Try the cheese bread/Pan de queso!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The fact that it is pet friendly was what made us choose the place. Staff were extremely nice and the centre of the town is four minutes walk so it was really easy to walk there.

Great hotel if you want to spend less. High quality and practical for a visit to Bernal. Close to everything with a good pair of walking shoes. The hotel was quiet and tge beds were goos

The room was amazingly spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom and the hot tub were pretty cool too. They also gave us some free cookies and coffee in the morning (even though breakfast is not really included, so it was a nice touch).
