Comfy hotel and jacuzzi in the hotel patio.

We chose Fludir as a stop to go to Landmannalaugar. Not much too choose so we did not have too much expectations. Hotel looks nice and cosy. There is a hottub, that was nice. And you can get free bathrobes. The room is fine with a quite large flatscreen in comparison to the size of the apartment. Breakfast buffet included which was fine.

This is a really nice hotel with perfect location for visiting the nature baths (Secret Lagoon) that are just a kilometer away (the visit is a must). We were welcomed kindly and our rooms were close to each other as requested. The hotel has a nice garden, which is directly accessible from each room through a separate door. The two jacuzzi with hot natural water were great for relaxation after a full day of sightseeing.

We had 3 rooms at the Hill Hotel for our family of 6 and overall found it comfortable with friendly staff. The hot tubs in the central courtyard were welcome on our chilly rainy days in the area. Breakfast was typical but with the added bonus of a waffle maker that was very popular. We had dinner there one night and enjoyed it. It is only open until 9pm which disappointed our hungry teenagers who were looking for more to eat around 930! The hotel is slightly dated--actual keys needed for your doors that our kids kept forgetting to lock as they exited--but nothing was lacking. Take a walk from the hotel and you'll find the delicious Ethiopian restaurant nearby, a small park with trampoline and disc golf behind the restaurant, and if you explore near the town swimming pool and small geothermal plant you'll see the small stream with geothermal vents along it that runs through the area. All of these are just 5 minutes from the hotel and made for a nice evening or morning stroll. Location was great for the Golden Circle, and also for a side trip the next day to Haifoss and Sigoldugljfur Canyon.

The staff was helpful and friendly. We really liked the "elves house" theme of the buildings. It was a little darker than I'm used to, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was especially tasty, with a good variety of options to choose from. We never found time to try the hot tubs, but they looked very cozy and relaxing.

House is located in quiet area surrounded by nature. Good location to stay longer and convenient to travel and see popular places. Have terrace with gas grill and heated jacuzzi. Good equipped kitchen.

Spacious, clean and comfortable cottage. The kitchen is well equipped. Great location for viewing Northern lights. Nice hottub on the deck. The host is responsive and accommodate.

Superb, very comfortable, very well equipped and perfectly clean. Our family was able to enjoy the jacuzzi and we observed our first Northern Lights from the porch of our cottage. Easy access location, possibility of parking the car right in front of the entrance.

The beds were very comfortable, and I absolutely loved the jacuzzi — I even got to see the northern lights while relaxing in it! I could also see them just outside the house. Overall, the accommodation was excellent.

House in an incredible and peaceful location. There are some distance from other houses which allows one to enjoy the landscape and also have some privacy. The house is very well maintained and have all the required commodities. Also have a very nice jacuzzi.

Recommend you to stay a night in this friendly and stylish house, full of interesting art and “feel home” vibe. hot jacuzzi and perfect view included.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Mengi. Ignacio was very welcoming and helpful. Bed were comfy and linen had a nice scent.. everything was clean. Our room had a nice view, and after dinner we went to the warm jacuzzi… I really recommend this place! Ohhh and also the breakfast is amazing!!!

Really cosy house with amazing view all around. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable share living room decorated with taste and great view on the river. Ignacio was very welcoming and provided me with lots of tips on the region.

Although the guesthouse is a bit off-track, this is what makes it special and loveable! You're just a stone throw away from the main attractions within the Golden Circle and all you need for a great time is already there! The house is newly renovated, the rooms are - at least the one we had - was spacious. The kitchen is great and filled with all amenities needed (fridge, coffee maker, water cooker, etc.), the dining room leads to the deck where you can sit and enjoy the views of the whole valley, the rest- and bathrooms are clean and the hot pot outside makes you want to stay forever (not just in it) :) Last but not least to mention the barn that was turned into a common place with table tennis, a bar, a lounge as well as a tv set. We loved it!

Brand new cabin. Perfect location to spend a few days in the Golden Circle. Very comfortable and modern. The jacuzzi was very nice after a day of hiking. I had one issue with the jacuzzi that was my own fault and the staff were quick to help us out.

wonderful stay with stunning views and a relaxing hot tub. The bed was very comfortable, and the large windows made the space bright and welcoming. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils for two, and having basics like oil, salt, and coffee provided was a thoughtful touch.

We loved our stay! The cabin is brand new, well decorated and very cozy. They had everything we needed, microwave, cooktop, Coffe machine, toaster etc… We also liked how easy was the self check in and check out. The cabins are in a great location, easy to find, very quiet place and with amazing views. The hot tub was ready and warm upon arrival and we could enjoy it straight away which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend it!

Modern new cabin with exceptional view. Fully equipped kitchen (incl. olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee). You need to have a car to get there. Cabins are close to main attractions in Golden Circle Area. Hot tub just in front of the cabin. Fully recommended.

I can’t say enough about this property. The cabin was modern and immaculate. It’s like your own personal heaven! The private hot tub was a perfect end to sightseeing all day and looking up at the stars and the northern lights is indescribable. We bought some groceries from a local market and breakfast and coffee with gorgeous views. I recommend this to everyone. Easy to get to and a perfect location I plan to stay in again on my next trip!

We have stayed at the Blue View cabins many times in the last months. They are an ideal get-a-way, of peaceful privacy in your own home away from home. We celebrated our Valentines Day together this last stay, and as a romantic retreat.. it could not have more perfect. We met the owner & understand why - all was built by hand with love!

This was one of my favorite stays during our ring road trip. Turf on the roof, hot tub, very clean. I loved the entry area for hanging clothes and keeping bags. Also loved the painted bird pics on the walls - very homey. The views from every window looked like a painting. Calming, comfortable, relaxing. Loved it!

A very nice house, it was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and plenty of seating - 2 sofas and an armchair. I also enjoyed the fact that there were plenty of glasses and plates. The owners were flexible and responsive. I also enjoyed the spacious dining area, which also functioned as a work area for me. It was a wonderfully quiet place with a good view as well. Location is great also.

This is a lovely, clean, comfortable guesthouse in the countryside, on a farm outside Fluidir. It's convenient to a lot of great activities, including riding centres, the Secret Lagoon and Friðheimar, a very nice restaurant. It would be great to get all three rooms in the annex house. If you had noisy or inconsiderate "flatmates," there wouldn't be anywhere to escape them, not to mention the awkwardness around COVID distancing. The single beds were comfy, and the shared bathroom was clean and functional. The kitchen allows for simple cooking. There's a nice lounge area, nice big dining table, and the views are wonderful. It's so quiet...not even birds to wake me up. Plenty of parking.

Guest house in rural area in farmland with spacious views all around. Super quiet, had the house to ourselves. Nice & clean kitchen facilities in adjacent house. Common area was pleasant with comfy couch. Plenty of parking. No complaints, great place to recharge to continue our exploration of Iceland. Restaurants and other stores are about a 8min drive to town.

Great kitchen and shared spaces, although there was no-one else to share with. Very quiet with amazing views, warm and comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped, beds good, everything very clean.

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights at the end of October and it was hands down the best hotel we’ve ever been to. The design of the whole building is spectacular, very modern and stylish. The rooms were spacious,quiet and really warm even though it was -3 degrees outside at night and around 2-3 degrees during the day. There was a huge window in the room with a ledge we could sit on and admire the view which happened to be a snowy mountain just outside the hotel. So picturesque, we couldn’t get enough of it! There was also a lovely scent welcoming us every time our room was cleaned when we returned after our day trip. The rainfall shower was amazing too! The only thing we would highlight is that we had to use a torch to be able to make a hot drink or pick an outfit from the wardrobe area as this area of the room was really dark even during the day. Perhaps some lights above the coffee machine and the wardrobe would’ve been great. The breakfast buffet was really nice too,there were plenty of different options. They also had different types of plant based milk which I really appreciated as I’m lactose intolerant. You could also treat yourself to a buck’s fizz every morning as it was also included in the buffet. The staff was very attentive,if there was a spillage of some sort they were on it straightaway and our table was cleared regularly so we were never left with a pile of used plates. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back for sure!

This was a magical place to stay. We were right across from the geysers and they could be seen from the restaurant on property. Staff was helpful and staff at the bar and our servers at the restaurant were kind and made us feel welcomed. The room was really clean with a modern architectural design and the beds were the most comfortable we slept in here in Iceland. Please add a spa some day and it would be a 10 star review:)

Aesthetically impressive overall design. Closet & coffee area could use a little more lighting. Easy check in & out. Glad I chose this for a one night stay.

This is a phenomenal hotel. It is very modern and new, clean, and super stylish. We loved our stay. The bed was so soft, the rooms were ample with amenities. The restaurant was excellent. Has to be the best buffet breakfast I’ve ever had—mimosas included. Hello?!!! The dinner was also fantastic. It is literally across the street from Geysir. Definitely book this place If you want a chic place.

I love the design and ambiance of this hotel! Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the little balcony was a nice touch instead of a window. The breakfast buffet was great and I love the view of the geysers from the restaurant!

We loved this hotel and staff. It is a neat, clean and comfortable hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is nothing around it, so it's perfect for Aurora watching. It's close to Geyser and Gullfoss falls, among other attractions with further driving. They served excellent food for dinner and breakfast. It's a good idea to reserve dinner during your stay. As with most hotels in Iceland, they do not have shampoo, top sheets or washcloths. They do provide a combination shower gel/shampoo. We'd definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

Stayed here one night as part of a ring road trip. We arrived late (around 8:30pm) but check in was very quick. Our room was clean and spacious, it looked recently updated. Some of the outlets and light switches weren't wired/finished yet. The shower was good. We had dinner at the hotel and it was wonderful!! We had the lamb and the salmon, both were fantastic! The breakfast buffet the next morning was well equipped. We arrived when breakfast started and it was already quite busy.

Lovely hotel - doesn't look that impressive from the approach road, but lovely inside - the dining room is particularly nice with large windows looking over the valley. Excellent location as very close to Gullfoss - around 5 minutes drive. Staff were lovely at reception and in the restaurant. Food - both dinner and breakfast - were very good, with a good selection at breakfast. Room was nice - twin beds as requested, clean and warm and with a nice view over the valley. I stupidly left my Kindle behind and have since been liaising with the hotel who are going to mail it back to me - very kind! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I had a wonderful stay at this country hotel. It’s quiet, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxation. The staff were extremely friendly and cooperative, making the experience even more enjoyable. The location is great—close to many attractions—and the food at the hotel was excellent. Overall, an amazing place to stay. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back again!

Outstanding two night stay at this warm, welcoming hotel. The quality of the rooms, restaurant and foyer are superb. Every member of staff is friendly and generous. Good amazing and brilliant home made bread for breakfast. Perfect base for touring Iceland’s southern areas. Will definitely return!
