Got to see the northern lights in a private patio hottub.. Had an amazing stay!

We went there last Thursday for our anniversary with our 9 months old son. We loved the room and the in-room hottub. The bed and pillows were also amazing. They were so fluffy and soft. I forgot to look at the brand of the pillow before I came home lol. The staffs were nice and kind when we asked for more toilet papers and towels. We got to watch a movie on Netflix the first time in a very long time since we had a baby lol.

We had a relaxing few nights stay just before the Summer Season Opening of Kicking Horse. We just missed the re-opening of the Gondola and an opportunity to visit Boo the famous Grizzly by a couple of days but the Complex was otherwise fully functioning and quiet. Bliss. Rode that Gondola in Winter a few years ago and it was so enjoyable we hope to experience it in Summer one day. Our spacious 1 Bedroom apartment was comfortable with large bedroom, bathroom, Lounge/Dining and an excellent kitchen. The scenic drive down to Golden should be about 20 minutes but the Black Bears were thick on the ground and were impossible to ignore. Respectfully. They were a highlight of our Kicking Horse visit. We’ve never seen so many Cubs. Often Three cubs with a surprisingly calm Mom. Apparently the Bears are no deterrent to Walkers and Cyclists either. An adrenalin hit. Golden has several big Grocery Stores so we bought groceries and happily ate in after busy days of sightseeing. Also a wealth of Restaurants and Fast Food Chains too. Twilight made sitting out on the wide rear deck the perfect lazy end to amazing but long days. The safe basement carpark with Elevator access to all levels was excellent too.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was a good size and had a nice little kitchenette with a microwave, bar sink and mini fridge as well as a coffee maker and a kettle. A huge plus was the heated bathroom floor. the hotel grounds are beautiful although it was not open for skiing while we were there so we did not hit the slopes. We did however visit the nearby Nordic center, the staff at both were extremely friendly and helpful and really made us feel at home. The cross country skiing was fantastic and affordable. the staff at the hotel was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had and we would definitely recommend staying here. The mountain views from my room were gorgeous!!

Love the spacious balcony with the Mountain View so much! Had our dinner everyday on the balcony. Beds are comfortable. Fan, microwave, kettle, breakfast toaster, plates and utensils are all provided. Just one thing u need to know that u need to check in/out at glacier lodge if you’re staying at palliser lodge as there’s no front desk there. This is not mentioned in the instructions provided by Expedia so it was bit confusing at the beginning . Overall is a 5-star experience and will come back for sure!

Front desk staff were outstanding. When we checked in we asked if there were any king rooms available. The only option was an upgraded room, for an extra charge however were we ever happy we made that choice. It had a jacuzzi in the room, a four poster bed and didn’t have carpet. It was amazing. We didn’t take advantage of the pool or gym but it looked great. On our way back home we stayed here again in a regular king room which had a beautiful mountain view. Again the staff was fantastic. We asked the front desk for a dinner recommendation and they gave us one, we were super happy with the suggestion.

A good quality modern hotel, our room on the ground floor was modern, clean and to good standards. A nice bathroom with a good shower. Good size room with 2 queen beds. Located centrally just off the main trans highway and surrounded by various restaurants, although the hotel does have a Rickies grill restaurant attached, not sure if it serves breakfast, breakfast was not included in our booking anyway. We ate in this restaurant, it was okay and resonably priced. There is a Tim Horton’s just down the road as well. Sleep quality was good, l didn’t notice the trans highway and we were facing it. The hotel allowed us to bring our small dog which was a plus, as many hotels in the area do not ( for a charge of course). Overall, the pricing was reasonable when you compare it to the other hotels in Golden, noting the quality of the hotel was pretty high. Friendly staff, l would stay here again if passing that way again.

This hotel is convenient for the highway and we found it clean and quiet. Check in/out was efficient and friendly. Rooms are functional, decent toiletries are provided along with a microwave. It is a 4 minute drive into downtown Golden. The element letting the hotel down is its restaurant that needs an overhaul. The 'Daily Specials' were the same both nights. I had the ribs the first night and the portion was tiny. The server agreed but did nothing about it! The second night the restaurant couldn't cope as it had 2 tour bus parties. We waited over an hour and a half to get a table. I believe the restaurant is being revamped soon. The staff in the restaurant work really hard, there just isn't enough of them. But as a budget friendly clean hotel it ticks the box.

Ideal place to stay if you are travelling. Right along the highway (yet quiet), close to restaurants, gas and coffee. Not too far from the river valley, ski hill and recreational areas if you are staying a while. Helpful staff, clean and well maintained.

The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant food was very good and the waitress was amazing. They were short staffed and she looked after the entire restaurant by herself.

The hottub was open late so that was great!

Motel that did the job. Quiet. Clean and decent beds. Staff was friendly. Property has a hotub, sauna and pool. Pool is even equipped with a very fun waterslide! Property iteslef is a little dated and in what felt like a more industrial area. Had to drive to get somewhere with food. Has a decent breakfast, equipped with a pancake maker, some fresh fruit, eggs and yogurts.

-Service was quick to check in and the rooms were nice and clean! The guy at the main desk was SO polite and nice. - Shower head and pressure was really nice as well -They clean up after the continental breakfast properly too. I went in just to fill my large water bottle In the sink there and the pieces to the drink machines were soaking in soapy water, all the breakfast food inserts/lids/ etc were all taken apart properly and washed and air drying. The tables were clean, food was nicely set out and was fresh when we arrived for breakfast. -The coffee was much better than expected and they had the commercial keurig which leads me to believe that this place also de scales and cleans their coffee machine often too. -Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Travelodge by Wyndham Golden Sportsman Lodge for a night with our kids and family, and it was an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight for the kids was definitely the swimming pool—so much fun for them to unwind after a day of travel. The free breakfast was also a great perk, offering a nice variety of options to start the day right. We loved the location too! There are plenty of great eating places nearby in Golden, so we had lots of choices for dining. Plus, the hotel is just a quick drive to Yoho National Park, making it super convenient for outdoor adventures. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. This is the perfect spot for families looking for comfort, convenience, and great amenities!

Great economical stay in Golden. Friendly staff and clean accommodations. This location was just off the highway enough that it was quiet. They offered a free basic breakfast. The area was clean and well stocked. They had, what looked like, a very expensive and new coffee machine in the breakfast area. Unfortunately, this machine was the SLOWEST hotel coffee machine EVER. Crowds waiting in the morning as it dispensed one small cup at a time. Not a machine meant for busy holiday weekend travelers. What a complete waste of money. They should, at the very least, offered an alternative coffee dispenser. We decided to go to the nearby McDonald's for our second cup. It was much faster than trying to get a refill at the hotel. The wait for a refill at the hotel was about 25 mins. Crazy.

There are three main things I look for when I book a hotel/motel: 1. Does the air conditioning work? Does the room cool off at night so you can sleep? The air conditioning in our room worked great and we had a wonderful sleep 2. Is the room clean and are the beds and pillows comfortable? In this case, the room is clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, and the pillows were good 3. Is the motel located in a convenient location in this case as well the motel is located perfectly in the centre of town so you can walk to different restaurants and shops I’m not sure why there were reviews that were negative about this property. It was perfect for our group and we stay here every year.

A great find. Local not chain. Friendly and welcoming staff. Basic room decor but well-maintained and clean. Room contains microwave, fridge, coffee machine, cable TV. Comfy beds. Swimming pool out back. Walking trails nearby and food and drink options a couple of minutes walk away.

What a beautiful B&B and what a lovely reception. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with an amazing view; especially early mornings when the mountain tops are being lit by the first sunbeams 🏔. Inside the B&B there was nothing you can think of that was missing. Everything was thought of and everything was clean and tidy. Our stay in these quiet surroundings was a very pleasant experience and worthy of a recommendation. We stayed here for only one night, but we would have even enjoyed a longer stay. As the icing on the cake, Jeannie treated us to an amazing and extensive breakfast, even for me; I have a gluten allergy and that was not a problem for Jeannie. What a treat! My husband and I both work in the airline industry so we spend a lot of time in 4-star hotels. I rate hotels also by the quality of the shower 🚿… This one is amazing!!! What a great water pressure and great temperature. That was an added bonus on top of everything else that was great. We very much enjoyed our stay here!!!

Good location within a calm area and easy private parking. Amazing and varied breakfast (options eggs, fruits, cereal, yogurt, coffee/thé, orange juice) Super warm jacuzzi Very clean and super welcomy hosts.

Fabulous set up (bonus jacuzzi) & very comfortable, excellent breakfast, Kat & Paul gave us great tips for good restaurants to eat at and for things to do & see (excellent knowledge of local area & surrounding national parks).

Canyon Ridge is such a gorgeous property! Excellent location in a quiet residential area with beautiful garden and jacuzzi. The host is amazing, Kat was so helpful, provided great advice for timings to move around the area and places to have dinner. Her breakfast are a feast!! Everything you can wish for, is there and she gave us fruit to take in our walks with us. Canyon Ridge is perfectly located to visit Golden suspension bridge, Buffalo Farm and YOho National Park. We highly recommend it! Thanks you Kat and family for having us!

Also had facilities like washing machine and tumble drier, tea/coffee maker, jacuzzi. Little details like a well thought through wardrobe/storage. What a beautiful setting inside and out. Travis had the spa music turned on when we arrived and my partner spent 5 hours in the Jacuzzi tub:)

Spacious and comfortable common area with several seating areas for individual families, and lots of boardgames. Excellent wifi service and they accommodated the limited breakfast options on hill by providing plates & cutlery as well as microwave for guests to warm up their own breakfasts. Rooms are spacious with luxurious beds and jacuzzi tub, perfect for a soak then a nap after skiing.

Beautiful property. Clean rooms with jacuzzi tub and balcony. To be fair it was end of COVID and during forest fires so there was not a lot open for the season. Short walk to only open close restaurant at base of ski hills. Golden a drive back down mountainside. I’m sure there is a lot to do there. People lovely and helpful.

As expected, in the shoulder season, there was not much open at the resort. Restaurant and bar were open only on Friday and Saturday, and another one was not open at all. Rooms on the main floor were easy to access, despite the lack of an elevator or lift, but there are several steps up to the main to navigate. Continental Breakfast supplies were plentiful and available at all hours. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well appointed including the large shower. Very peaceful and quiet environs.

Very comfortable room with modern bathroom. No staff present but self-service breakfast "buffet" was available all day and had a great choice of food. Living room area was comfy and homely. Nice sauna. Restaurant underneath the Lodge (separate business?) was excellent with very friendly staff and good food.

Spacious rooms and great bathroom and shower. Staff were friendly and food and beverages were stocked throughout the day which was great since many places closed before we were done exploring and hiking. There is no individual A/C but you can open a window and there are fans in the room. Felt very secure and we enjoyed the quiet. It is next to the ski resort so it was 15 minutes from town but the views and drive were lovely. Surrounded by nature so we did see some bears every now and then on our drive. The WiFi was excellent.

Our stay at Copper Horse Lodge was nothing short of amazing. The place was impeccably clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making our stay very comfortable. Although it was very quiet on the last day, likely because it was a weekday and we seemed to be the only guests, we still enjoyed the tranquility. We are very pleased with our experience and highly recommend this lodge. 10/10!

Our 2nd stay here. We love the area, the property and the rooms. Entry and exit is keyless, just use the code your sent for front door and room. Everything is clean and very well maintained, with added touches. The shower is amazing. The breakfast is varied and easy at access. Staff are on hand by phone or email and always reply in a timely manner and very helpful.

We loved our stay at Basecamp Lodge. The self check in was simple and it was handy having a room code so we didn't have to share a key. The room was clean, the beds were really comfortable with good pillows and the bathroom was clean with a good hot shower. The shared lounge and kitchen area were great with free hot drinks 24/7, an ice machine and various appliances to use. We used this area to prepare our packed lunch each day. We didn't see many staff but those we did see were helpful and friendly. It is on the outskirts of town but 5-10 minute walk along the river to downtown where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Also plenty of parking

Location is beautiful. Comfortable bed although our room on ground floor was on the small side. The view of the mountains and river was great but our view was not private to outside. Sheer curtains would be helpful. Front desk staff were often absent perhaps because we came during slow season. Nice surprise to have a fridge in room and coffee and muffins for breakfast. Microwave in common area was also available.

Simple, contactless , check-in process, and a great online 'pack' provided giving all sorts of useful local information. Excellent communal facilities - free hot drinks and porridge available, very well stocked, some other kitchen facilities available, and large dining area, games, books etc. provided. Nice, big, bright and open feeling space. Limited contact with staff due to the contactless check in and out, but when we did see them they were polite and friendly. Comfortable bed, good size fridge in the room and spacious bathroom with lots of storage space and a great shower (husband is a 'shower Goldilocks' and rated this shower the best of our entire Canadian roadtrip). Plenty of free parking. Convenient location for access on and off the highway.

The location is brilliant. View at window. Across the road from the river which has a wide trail. You can walk to ol' town where there are a number of pubs & restaurants & shops. The open lobby-lounge area is bright and comfortable with a 24/7 coffee/tea station. There is an open back deck and picnic tables on the grass behind the lodge away from the street. The whole facility is very clean. Bed comfy. Good for a single.

We loved the very convenient no staff contact checkin…we arrived at midnight. It was so easy to checkin…input code into main lobby door and again for our room. Room was cool (in spite of heat wave with a welcomed fan blowing in the room). Room clean, beds comfortable and bathroom clean with Rocky Mountain soap. Love the mountain feel of this hotel. Location seems sketch at first (drive to it via industrial area), but it sits along the river. Walking trails etc in the area. Not a long drive from the highway, so convenient for a one night stop. But far enough away that you feel in the mountains and on holiday. Also like to support a smaller franchise.

There is no front desk reception at this accommodation so is all done remotely which we were unsure about, but they were a,ways in contact through text and email both prior to our arrival and after we arrived checking that we had arrived and everything was ok. They provide you with your room number and key code for your door. Very self sufficient which was fine. The room was large, very clean and had everything we needed. Sofa in the lounge area, comfy bed,large tub, microwave, mini fridge and a large bathroom. Shower was large 😄 There are plenty of bars and restaurants all within walking distance which was a bonus. The river walks just stepping is a must too, stunning views. The parking is just before the bridge less than a minute walk to the rooms. A permit for your car is provided on arrival in your property. Checkout was simple, before 12 noon, shut up and leave, ping a txt to let them know you have left, that’s it. A great stop over but you must book in advance.

I would 100% choose to stay here again. Everything was perfect down to the wonderful towels and robes slippers and extra amenities that were provided the room was decorated perfectly and clean probably my favorite hotel that I stayed at In Canada this whole trip. The check-in was a little bit confusing because they don’t have a front desk but to reach someone was super easy. All you have to do is call and he will fix anything extremely friendly and very helpful. The little patio and the river right outside is perfect. I wish we stayed a little bit longer to really enjoy the scenes, easy walking distance to some bars restaurants around it’s a very small town so there isn’t much to do, but if you’re just there to relax, it’s perfect . I will definitely be coming back again my family and I booked two rooms and we both enjoyed it so much.

The Rooms at Riversedge provided excellent accomodation. The room was clean and had all essential amenities required for a pleasant stay ie coffee machine, television etc. It was comfortable with a superb view at the back of the Kicking Horse River. A pleasant patio area allowed you to sit and enjoy the view. Its location was superb with excellent restaurants a few doors away and it was next door to a superb bakery owned by the same people, allowing you to go and collect coffees or breakfast or having your breakfast delivered. A wonderful place to stay !!

This cozy boutique hotel was the perfect choice in Golden. Location downtown on the river was wonderful, with Golden restaurants and the lovely river walk right...there. This is not your average hotel. While the owners own and work in the bakery next door, check-in and parking instructions come by text. These rooms are new, meticulously clean beds are comfy, with a stocked refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. The owner, Spencer, couldn't have been more friendly. There are only 5 rooms, so reservations are a must.

This is a unique experience. It's a boutique hotel/motel, where booking the room, and all interactions are all done online and through text. That is what is good, but also what can be challenging about this place. No front desk = no people = no answer! It's a beautiful and relaxing spot for your stay. The rooms are spacious, and the heated bathroom floor is so, so nice! The LED color changing - wall mounted - fireplace sets the ambience, while your watching Disney , Netflix, Amazon prime, or regular boring tv channels. The covered outdoor patio is the ultimate hang out spot while you listen to the river cascade a few feet away! Oh, and if you have flowers planted outside your patio, watch and wait for the hummingbirds!! It's a nice touch to offer a cart full of chocolate, Pringles, Cheezies and non alcoholic beverages to the patrons, and at fair prices! The mountain views are stunning, but you have to look past the disarray of the jumbled mess of the yard across the river. At least 4 restaurants are within a short walk from your room right along side the river. 7-11 is also right across the street, if you have the late night munchies. No need to drive anywhere! Here's the downside- Expect that if you have any issues or questions after 9 pm, that they won't be a priority or possibly even answered until after 9 am. Patience young padawan. Stay, or stay not. There is no choice. But stay. You'll likely love it!

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel, sharing a room with our kids. The room was a good size, air conditioned, the beds comfortable and it was well serviced each day. The bathroom was good - the shower a little on the weak side in terms of pressure, but still did the job. Breakfast was good - a selection of hot items, plenty of sweet treats, yoghurts, cereals, bagels and toast, fresh fruit and a variety of drinks. The staff in the restaurant are quick to refill when things run low and we found them friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is on the small size - which wasn’t usually a problem as we managed to get a table 3 days out of 4 - but one day there were no tables at all due to the hotel being so busy. Just something to be aware of if you’re on time schedule like we were. A bonus is definitely the pool - we used it a couple of times. It’s well stocked with towels, is clean and a good depth. Opening hours for it are also good. It made a great base for exploring Golden - Kicking Horse resort with Boo the Grizzly Bear is 10/15 min drive away, the Skybridge is just 5 mins, and downtown with some good restaurants also 5mins. You can do Emerald Lake from there within an hour. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

I recently stayed at the Best Western and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough to accommodate five people with ease. The continental breakfast was a highlight, offering a great variety of options including eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, baked goods, fresh fruit, coffee, and more. It was also nice to see that they offer pet-friendly options, making it convenient for travelers with pets. Overall, a solid stay with all the essentials covered.

Hotel is very welcoming with free coffee and cookies in reception on arrival. Also get free breakfast but this is served in a small seating area in reception and gets very crowded particularly if there is a coach party in. Food choice is limited and you have to clear your own table. Hotel has a lovely pool which was always very quiet but was great for a relaxing swim at the end of a long day walking. We stayed 3 nights. The cleaners didn't provide additional toiletries or coffee on days 2 or 3 so we had to go and ask for these at reception each day. Room is well equipped with large fridge/ freezer and combi oven/ microwave and 2 ring electric hob. However the crockery and cutlery was mismatched and there were no utensils at all, the oven was missing its rack for conventional cooking, the one pan had lost all its non stick and the tea towel was not replaced in the 3 days we were there. The hotel is a long way out of the town with no tempting looking restaurants nearby so we cooked for ourselves but found this to be quite difficult with the items provided. We had a mountain view room which was great ( when the weather allowed us to see the mountains!). We slept with the window open on the first night but there is an industrial site behind the hotel that started work at 2am!!

This was the fourth time we've stayed in this hotel. it's a good spot to stop while visiting Golden or passing through. It is a close drive to Kicking Horse Mountain and to downtown. There is a nice walking path along the river and lots of restaurants downtown to eat at. Don't miss Eleven22 for the best dining experience - such a surprise! The staff here are friendly, the rooms are clean and efficient and the breakfast in the morning has lots of items to choose from. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. They are undergoing a renovation and update so we are looking forward to the new and improved hotel the next time we return.

The views from the parking lot were spell binding. Amazing staff and a very VERY cozy room. The only grouse was the noisy heating/cooling equipment. The breakfast and especially their scrambled eggs and that COFFEE!!!!! Simply wow! We wished to spend the whole 4hrs of the bf time drinking their coffee..the best brewed coffee.

The stay in Moberly Lodge was hands-down the best we could have arranged for our trip to Canada. The lodge itself is gorgeous - the massive logs and the homely, warm fittings and furniture gives the place an amazingly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and the terrasse was great even in bad, rainy weather. The jacuzzi helps to relax after a long day of hiking. But the best of the place are the owners themselves, Lucile makes the best breakfast I have ever enjoyed on any of my travels and the looked well after my coeliac girlfriend. Even when leaving too early for breakfast, she would make us little breakfast bags for the way. Homemade muffins, tarts, pancakes... it was delicious. We have stayed for 6 nights and thought it might be risky to stay this long at just one place, but we know better now and if we knew before, we would have stayed much longer. There is still so much we want to do in the three surrounding national parks, that I am sure, we will come back! Well done guys, we loved it!

My husband and I had such an amazing stay at Moberly Lodge! Lucille and Jonathan were very welcoming and helpful in planning activities in the area. The location of the lodge is very peaceful and quiet, a great spot to really relax. Our room had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated that the lodge was well maintained and clean throughout. We loved the style of this rustic lodge and the cosiness of the common area. Additionally, the breakfast was amazing and different every day. You could tell that it was prepared with love!

Wonderful ski vacation lodge. Everything I needed ; ski lockers, boot dryers, 60 seconds away from gondola, restaurants, friendly staff, outdoor hottub, ski lodge decor throughout. Clean and well decorated room , mountain view and balcony . Loved it so much I stayed an extra nite and the lodge matched my already great rate. Will be staying next season for sure.

We had a two bedroom suite facing the ski hill. Location was about 12km out of town. The room was great, spacious and well layed out. The balcony was a perfect place for morning coffee and look at the mountains. Having a restaurant and convenience store on site was a bonus (we were told Golden restaurants will not deliver there). Wifi was strong. The amenities included, Fireplace , stove, oven, coffee maker, washer and dryer.

We had an awesome overnight stay at Glacier Lodge. Super easy check in, friendly staff. Under hotel parking. Excellent mountain views on 2 sides (corner apartment) plus balcony. Super comfy bed, kitchenette with everything, good bathroom, hot shower, quiet location. Chair and gondola right behind hotel. Food options only a short stroll away. Hardly any people. Snow, snow and more snow.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel as a part of our honeymoon. We arrived after 6 pm, the check in was already prepared for us. Entering the room we were welcomed with a complementary bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate and a nice card greeting us and wishing us a wonderful honeymoon. The room was spacious and had its own washing machine. Kitchen was equipment everything you need. Nice balcony with Mountain View. As we wanted to check out, the young lady in the reception was incredibly friendly & helpful. She gave us good tips for our onward journey to Banff. She took her time to tell us the do’s and don’ts, and we left with several restaurant and hiking tips. We were very happy with the hotel, the room and the great service. We can highly recommend this hotel. Ps. A black bear with a cub was spotted 400 m from the hotel!

Spacious Jacuzzi suite. Lots of hot water to fill the jacuzzi. Separate heat/ac unit and controls for bedroom area and living room. Very quiet. Couldn’t hear Road noise or other guests even though there was a tour bus load staying there. Older hotel, but clean and fresh paint. Very very comfortable bed. Basic complimentary breakfast. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast. No pancakes or waffles. Lots of easy parking.

The room was well appointed, clean, TV worked, air conditioning was a little complex because it was a wall unit under the window with a panel but controlled by a wall thermostat. Had the usual bar fridge, kuerig and microwave. Bathroom small but clean. Breakfast was good a buffet , make it yourself toast, scrambled egg, sausage. Coffee,tea, milk, yogurt. Saves going out before you check out.

Very easy to find, and great location, near a great restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to find Dove products in the bathroom, and a shower cap, it was a very nice touch ! The bed was very comfortable, and I also liked having the outlets directly on to the bedside lamps. The breakfast buffet was complete, fruit juice, coffee, cereals, bread, eggs, sausage and hashbrowns

Honestly, my stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, which I really appreciated. There were plenty of pillows (finally!), great quality bedding, and lots of fresh towels—small things, but they made a big difference. I’ve stayed at other hotels in the same price range and category, and this one was definitely a level above. The staff were also super welcoming. At check-in, they even let me choose between a room with a mountain view or one facing the forest, which was such a nice touch. All in all, a really pleasant and comfortable stay. I’d happily come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Alpine Meadows Lodge! It’s a peaceful and relaxing getaway tucked in the mountains — the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. The surroundings are quiet and serene, with beautiful nature all around. It is a bit far from downtown Golden and you’ll definitely need a car to get here, plus the road leading up is gravel, but once you arrive it’s absolutely worth it. The lodge feels cozy and welcoming, and the hosts were fantastic — warm, friendly, and very accommodating. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat away from the crowds, this is the perfect spot. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back! 🌿🏔️

We stayed at the Alpine Meadows Lodge for 3 nights. The hosts Maria and Erf did a great job and served delicious breakfast every morning. They can also help you with hiking recommendations and local tips :-). The lodge itself is cosy. The rooms are simple but clean and offer enough space and a great view. For dinner there is no kitchen or anything offered by the lodge. You need to organise your food in the local supermarket or go to a restaurant. I can absolutely recommend the lodge and will come back one day during winter.

We booked this lodge at the last minute and didn’t have high expectation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mehda (hope I got the name right), who is friendly and helpful. The lodge is clean, serene and very quiet with mountain view. We had to leave early the next day and Mehda was able to provide continental breakfast earlier. Highly recommend and great for meditation.

The location was excellent, the view outstanding, and the cabin was cozy and comfy. The bed was soft, linens and pillows so comfortable, the temperature was easily regulated, and the little kitchen had everything we needed for our two-night stay. We were able to snowshoe right from our cabin door and warm up in the fabulous hot tub after, under softly falling snow. Very quiet, easy to find, and just a little gem in the mountains, perfect for a winter wonderland weekend getaway.

Simply amazing. In the midst of nature. We saw deer, a beaver, eagle, a woodpecker, salmon, and bear paw prints. At night there are thousands of stars to see, even the milky way. The hut has every comfort you need, a full bathroom, microwave, toaster, fridge, comfortable bed and sofa... The owners were very friendly as well and gave us wood to make a fire outside. All in all, perfect place to get away from civilization and enjoy peace and quiet in nature.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help us. The nature around and view was amazing. Overally, it was relaxing with spectacular views and I'd go there again.

On the upside, the check-in around 9 pm process was fast and reception staff was very cordial. Booked 2 queen beds but got free upgrade to jacuzzi suite.

This hotel was clean and confortable.The breakfast was ok, but would benefit more fruits and cheese. The whole place was welcoming and perfect for activities in Banff/Glaciers. It is less expensive than the popular areas, butstill very convenient to access them in 45min-1h drive. The location is good, close to amenities, restaurants and groceries. The views from the room were beautiful! Right over the mountains. There is a gym and pool area, which we didn't use at all, but looked very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed were very confortable, and the AC/heating system was easy to use. I appreciated the toileteries, mini refrigerator, coffee machine and hairdryer. There was a safe in the closet which was very convenient. We had two queen beds and the room was very spacious.

We enjoyed our stay at The Holiday Inn, location was perfect for a stop on our drive in early May. Multiple fast food restaurants within walking distance, comfortable room, friendly staff. Only downside was our room was lacking bath towels (3 towels for 4 people) and our TV was damaged but watchable. We were able to quickly get an extra towel from the front desk. Room was clean and comfortable, no issues with noise. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast, everything was hot and quickly replenished. We would stay again if we were in the area.

The breakfast was pretty good, lots of choices, though I will say the hash browns were terrible. Very clean, the rooms were comfortable and price of the place was reasonable. I would not hesitate in recommending the Holiday Inn Express Golden-Kicking Horse! a 4.5!

My wife and I stayed in a king suite with Jacuzzi tub and private balcony. The old room was certainly showing its age but it is big and comfortable with a couch, table and both comfy chairs and table chairs. There is a full kitchen in this room as well including a full refrigerator. The view from the balcony is arguably the best view in all of Golden. The Jacuzzi tub is average size but again offers an amazing view to the Rockies while you soak. Very peaceful atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast is probably the best I've had anywhere, they really go all out! Not to mention Alfornos downstairs best pasta in town and really great cocktails. They are busy upgrading the facility and it shows but again it is showing its age. Generally a facility this aged would be a 3 star review at best but the staff, service and experience make it a 4. I already look forward to our next visit

A wonderful place to stay in Golden. It looked like the lodge had undergone recent renovations. And the nearby Indian Kitchen had courteous staff serving delicious fare with a discount to guests of Golden Village!

Perfect spot for someone needing a place to stay the night during a roadtrip, or even while staying a few days in town. Nothing too fancy but has everything you need, is clean, and has comfortable beds. Really great value for what you get. It's a bit outside of the main part of town so a vehicle is needed to visit the downtown restaurants/shops/etc, but it was actually very quiet given it's just off the highway - I couldn't hear anything anyways. Easy check-in and check-out, no frills, nice people. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very close to the highway. We stayed just for the night on our way home. The room was spacious, bright, and clean. The bathtub faucet was not working properly. When I turned on the shower head, most of the water was not redirected to the showerhead but ran down the spout, so the pressure from the showerhead was minimal. There was a coffee maker in the room. You are out of luck if you want tea or just hot water.

Maybe a 3.5. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. I would have liked some tea and I found the coffee packets almost impossible to open. The Indian Food from the restaurant was delicious!

It is a Budget style Motel with no frills. It has a mini fridge and microwave but no kettle or coffee pot. Only has shampoo/cream rinse combo and soap. Has a large couch, a small table with two chairs, a TV and huge dresser. For the people who complain about this place, I’d say it is great value for the money you paid. If you want perfection, go pay the $250 the other hotels are charging. We really like this place and will Definitely Stay Here Again!!

This property is amazing and I wish I had spent more time here. We were really late to check-in but the management sent me a message on my phone with the Wi-Fi password and assurance that it was okay to arrive late. Don't let the name of the property fool you, because this is by no means your cheap one-night stay motel. It is actually a cottage that comes with full kitchenette and amenities. There is also a BBQ which I'd seen in the pictures and I made it a point to stop over at the local IGA store (which closes at 10pm) and picked up some meats for a bbq dinner. Oh what a great dinner we had that evening. Leftovers ended up on the breakfast plate and we had steak and eggs for breakfast, sitting under the cozy, well kept gazebo. The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds were comfortable and clean. Amazingly they have literally ALL channels available on tv and you could spend all night flipping through channels. Middle of summer and very hot? No problem, the half ton air-conditioner in the living room is more than sufficient to cool the entire cabin. We left the bedroom doors open and enjoyed a perfectly good, night's sleep. The bathroom has seamless hot water and the pressure is excellent. My only regret is that I did not book this property for longer than one night. Given the opportunity, I would return here 100 per cent.

Nice cabins, furniture somewhat outdated but very well maintained. Convenient. Everything you need is there and super-clean. Easy check in. Very flexibly host: he corrected my wrong booking without any problem. Various good restaurants within 10 minutes reach.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially cozy, and I appreciated the quiet environment that made it easy to rest. The location is also ideal—close to key attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, pool and gym which exceeded my expectations. Overall, this hotel offers great value and service. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience.

Location is great just off highway, but still provides a quiet environment. Restaurants are within walk distance with additional restaurants downtown less than 10 minutes away by car.

The Ramada Limited Golden was the perfect one night stop for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very good and the free breakfast was very good as well. The property is well maintained and clean. Due to time constraints we didn't use any of the other facilities there. We would return there on our next visit to Golden. Easy to get to from the highway. It is a short drive to the downtown area of Golden. Many food options nearby.

And it was placed in an area that certainly seemed safe, and also within a 3-5 minute walk of a downtown street with a couple of nearby restaurants and an ice cream shop. Granted, it’s not a modern high rise, and the price was more than I’d like, but it was substantially below most others nearby. That’s the way Golden is in the summer! But for those of us who’ll seek out a local budget spot when the big chains are priced so high in tourist areas, this is a superb choice! Frankly, I’ve stayed in those big ones on the nights before and after the Rondo, and the Rondo was better!

The location is perfect — less than a 10-minute drive from the Golden Sky Bridge, which made sightseeing so convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. When they found out it was our anniversary, they went above and beyond our expectations. They gave us the biggest room with a jacuzzi, decorated the door with a personalized greeting, and surprised us with roses, chocolates, candles, and a lovely card inside the room. I really appreciated their effort in making our stay extra special — it meant a lot to us!

The room was larger than we expected and quieter. Beds very comfy. Had a lovely area outside with a bbq and seating. Close to many restaurants even though out of the main downtown if Golden and even had one adjoining the property. Views of mountains from both sides of the property. The reception clerk was easy going and very helpful when asked about the town. Our vehicle had a mechanical issue and he pointed us to the right direction. The rooms were clean and fun. Updated TV and good basic channels. All staff were approachable and friendly.

Walking distance to all great restaurants and bars in town. The property felt very comfortable, safe, and cozy. Plenty of room in kitchen and living area to hang out and socialize with other guests. The staff was incredible and so friendly and accommodating. I will 100% be back!

Fantastic place to stay. Clean, spacious, comfortable, affordable (!), and relatively close to all state-of-the-art nature spots in Canadian Rockies. Very professional staff keep this place cozy and welcoming to everyone.

We loved the cozy atmosphere, the fireplace, the great community and boardgames! Also the duvets deserve a special mention, super comfortable. It was very clean and the kitchen well equipped, lively and still nicely organized - and we very much loved the free tea and coffee :) Walking distance to bars and shops in Golden and close to the highway. Great facilities also for skiers. We would have loved to stay longer and very much understand that some people keep extending their stay.

The atmosphere of the hostel was extremely welcoming! The hostel is kept clean and tidy, with all the amenities you would need! The rooms were clean and cosy. And the bed was comfortable.

Comfortable, clean room. Convenient for downtown Golden, close to local amenities and the river. The hotel has no reception (comprising a series of rooms above restaurant and bar) but the host responded quickly to text messages/requests. Guests get a 20% discount on food purchased at the Rockwater Grill & Bar 🙂

Clean, roomy, and comfortable room with a nice kitchenette. Two chairs with table to sit and enjoy coffee. Centrally located in downtown Golden with restaurants, bars, grocery, and a river walk all close by

Room was quite nice & big since we got the bigger room. And quiet even with a jam session in restaurant below! Could have used hand towels & wash clothes as well as paper towels in coffee area. Restaurant was fun with good food, views & staff.

The air con was amazing. Room was spacious, bed was comfy, bathroom was perfect.

Modern room with a large tv. Clean, comfortable and although it's in the middle of town, very quiet for most of my stay. The bed was superb and the addition of a table and chairs useful. The décor throughout was excellent. Soundproofing was great - except note that you are above a pub, so there is a little noise when they close as customers leave, but not excessive or too late. There's a 20% discount if you eat in the pub downstairs.
