The library suite is so big with a jacuzzi bath, a very comfortable bed, and such beautiful decor throughout the suit. Very welcome helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant. The food is delicious in the restaurant.

What a gem of a hotel! A beautiful, historic building bursting with character and energy. We were greeted on arrival to the surprise of a room upgrade - fantastic! We stayed in room 15 which was beautifully spacious and very comfortable. The bed was super luxurious. The bathroom was huge and very well equipped, including a jacuzzi bath. The room was also a nice temperature.

Our room had a Loch view where we witnessed beautiful sunsets. The bed was extremely comfortable and in room amenities were great, lovely fluffy towels, toiletries, excellent bedding and a seating area. The whole house has been decorated beautifully and to a high standard which feels very welcoming and is also extremely clean. The shared lounge is a huge bonus and is very comfortable with great views over the Loch which you also get from the breakfast room and terrace. Breakfast was lovely, good selection and high quality produce, excellent poached eggs! Our hosts Avril and Sue were both very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for having us and we look forward to returning. We would highly recommend staying here.

We love absolutely everything! Breakfast had many options and was delicious. They also offer Vegan alternatives! The recommendations to have dinner nearby were great! The building and rooms are authentically decorated and there is plenty of space to chill with your friends and family in front of the fire after a nice day. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had good pressure and the room was comfortable and warm on a chilly evening. The hosts, Sue and Avril were fantastic. They are beyond any expectations and made us feel welcome, with love and care for the little details and outstanding customer service. We will definitely come back! The location is perfect if you are looking for nice views and quiet surroundings.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is a beautiful old home that faces Loch Fyne with a view of Inveraray Castle across the water. The breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable and well-furnished. There is a lovely parlor downstairs that guests can use. My husband and I sat and relaxed and read after a day of driving and navigation. The owner of the B&B is charming and friendly and even made us sandwiches for dinner when we said we were too tired to drive for dinner. This was the nicest B&B we stayed in during a two week trip to Scotland where all of our lodgings were good. This one was exceptional. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a late checkin and the lady was so kind to wait for as and she also booked a table for our dinner in the near village. The room was large, clean and well accessorized. There was a beautiful view on the garden. We found water, cookies and tea and coffee in the room. the bed sheets were fresh and refined. The house was elegant, with a wonderfully furnished living room for guests, with books and games. The view on the loch was amazing. Parking is very easy. At the evening the ladies asked us to fill a list of whatever we desired for breakfast (french, scottish. continental,,,,) And we had it!

We arrived at Thistle House in the afternoon where the hostess greeted us with all the information we needed, a tour around the beautiful house and coffee in the lounge at the fireplace. We immediately felt very welcome and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful decorated, the beds are very comfortable and the view from the rooms are the best! Such an amazing scenery! Breakfast the next day was also very tasty and the two hostess' did their very best to make sure we had all we needed - and more! They even provided a birthday flag for our breakfast table since we were celebrating a birthday. We would all love to come back!

The location is amazing, and staff so friendly. We did not have an evening meal there but the breakfast was amazing! The room (we booked the suite) was so spacious, with an added bonus of a double jacuzzi! Very dog friendly.

Dinner was very good. Breakfast also very good Shower over very large jacuzzi bath difficult to access.

This property is exceptional. The front garden is right away on a lake, they have comfy chairs and table in the garden and serve drinks there. We had yummy cocktails and the view is exceptional! It was so peaceful, also sunny on that day (lucky us). The room was big, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom is huge, the hotel is nice every where you look. We had a view on the lake too (paid for it ..). We had dinner at the hotel and oh my god!, the food was so nice! You need to have a meal there! Breakfast was delicious too.

Taycreggan was a little slice of heaven! We had a lovely late September stay as a family. The location is simply stunning and utterly tranquil with no road noise. The cars are all parked behind the hotel and it was lovely to come out of the front door, grab a blanket from the thoughtfully provided supply, and walk across the lawn directly to the edge of the loch. The staff lit a fire pit for us to sit around as we watched the sun go down before enjoying a delicious dinner. My son has an eating disorder and the chef came to discuss dinner with me in person and could not have been kinder or accommodating. He cooked exactly what we needed with no fuss which was so appreciated. The full size snooker table provided evening entertainment and there were lots of separate cosy rooms and seating areas to settle down with a book in peace and quiet. We stayed in the suite which was stunning and enjoyed the huge bath! In the morning, I slipped out with a cup of tea and watched the sun rise over the loch, see photo below, what a perfect start to the day! We had a delicious breakfast with wonderful views from our table. It was very hard to leave and we will definitely be back. It would be fantastic to visit in summer with direct access to the water for paddle boards and canoes - and a collection of watershoes awaits by the door. Highly recommend a stay here - not grandiose, but warm, welcoming and lovely with great service, fabulous food and Loch Awe on the doorstep.

We loved everything about the property - the location was stunning, the rooms were spotless and well equipped and the staff were all so lovely and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant which was amazing and the breakfast in the morning was just as good. The views of Loch Awe are amazing and there are plenty of seats around to enjoy the view from every angle, as well as the fire pits to get cosy at night. We can’t wait to visit again

Lovely stay here - the arrival was great, the guy who checked us in in the cafe/restaurant was welcoming and gave us a warm vibe. Staff were all friendly and warm throughout our stay. Check in was straightforward and quick, straight up to our room. Our room itself (I think it was Room 4) was absolutely lovely - very spacious and cosy, and modernised nicely but retaining the traditional country hotel feeling. Room was very clean. Included a Scottish ‘Caramel’ biscuit for each guest, and some local ‘Campbell’ coffee! The breakfast was also great, down in their cafe/restaurant with a good spread selection, and you could order full breakfast dishes (full Scottish, etc) for an extra cost. Location is ideal if you’re visiting Inveraray castle - is 5 mins away, and hotel is on the Main Street of Inveraray with charming little shops and cafes. A few great restaurants nearby too, but I recommend booking them ahead of time as are small and full up quickly! We ate at the George Hotel across the road which was fab. We also got free on-street parking right outside the door of the hotel which was lucky! There’s also two big car parks nearby. We will be coming back to Brambles soon for a stay to climb the hill behind the castle - thanks for a wonderful stay.

Excellent place to stay. The reception staff was very helpful and courteous on our arrival and showed us to our room. Our huge spacious room was lovely in the loft space of a cottage off the high street. Quite luxurious with a huge very comfortable bed and nice bedroom furnishings tea, coffee & biscuits. The bathroom was quirky and of very high end luxury with a walk through shower AND free standing bath. Only issue was the water from the shower it does come outside the shower cubicle onto tiles and was quite slippy...maybe more shower mat towels could be supplied. Breakfast was excellent across the road in the cafe with a lovely cheery waitress. Will definitely come back.

What a lovely place! We felt right at home immediately. Our rooms were so spacious and comfy - the bathroom was gigantic and I couldn't resist taking a bath in the wonderful new bathtub. The bath products also smelled amazing. There were little treats in the room and really nice mugs for tea and coffee in the morning. Everything was also super clean. We had dinner next door at The George (I think that's what it was called) which was delightful and there's a little store across the street from the hotel that has pretty much anything you could need. We had to leave early in the morning so couldn't enjoy the breakfast that was offered but they gave us to-go containers for food and drinks which was very kind. The woman who welcomed us initially was also very friendly and helpful. It's a sweet little town - highly recommend if you're stopping through!

Everything - from the moment I knew I had made the right choice. Early check-in helped and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy, spacious and amazing double shower. Lovely coffee and treats. Complimentary breakfast was amazing fresh meats and cheeses and warm welcome from the happy staff every day. I needed to stay another night re server weather and I was able to keep the room on without an issue. Can't wait to return soon. Ssshhhhhh don't tell everyone how good this place is a hidden gem.

Modern, stylish and comfortable room in the middle of town. Our one was well set back from the road so no noise disturbance but earplugs and eye mask are provided which is a nice touch. There's a big bathroom with great shower and bath. It's within a stones throw of a few bars/restaurants and shops and very near the loch shore where there are stunning views. The complimentary buffet breakfast had lots of variety and was very tasty. Staff at the cafe were welcoming and it was easy to check in.

Maggie was lovely and got me organised and settled as soon as I arrived. She pointed me in the direction of food in the village rather than travelling back to the nearest town and I brought the food back to the b&b and sat out on the terrace at the back of the house enjoying the beautiful view of the Loch at the end of the garden. Maggie was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a very friendly lady. She couldn't have done any more for me, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast choices were very good, and i opted for the full cooked breakfast, which was also very good. There were also cereals, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juices, tea, and coffee. The room i had was very comfortable, and the whole property was spotless. I would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend anyone to stay at Maggie's. Thank you Maggie! 😊 x

My first time in Scotland, travellung north, and Maggie’s was the perfect choice. The location is stunning, right on the shore with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The accommodation was spotless, warm, and very comfortable, with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Maggie was incredibly friendly and kind, making me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. Parking was easy, and the whole experience was faultless. We had a fantastic stay at this Maggie's BnB! The room was very clean and cozy, with the surrounding views were absolutely beautiful, perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Since we had to leave early the next morning to catch the first ferry, Maggie thoughtfully packed a generous takeaway breakfast for us. Maggie was warm and welcoming, attention to detail in everything, making the whole experience even better.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GEM OF A PLACE AND WE JUST LOVE MAGGIE!! My daughter and I were on a family pilgrimage trip and Maggie's was booked purely based on availability, location and price. We couldn't have been luckier or booked anywhere better. Deadline for arrival was 9.00 pm and we arrived about 8.45pm after a very, very long drive. We were greeted by this wonderful, warm, friendly lady who showed us our room and took our breakfast order. Our room was the big one at the top of the house overlooking Loch Fyne. The bed was superbly comfortable and the shower was hot. We had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast for our breakfast which was fabulous, and there was a good range of options for breakfast. At the back of Maggie's you can sit on a bench in the garden or walk right down to the Loch and have a paddle. Maggie was so friendly and so lovely my daughter and I could have happily stayed for a week there. I absolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Maggie’s B&B is the perfect place to stay ! The view on the lake is perfect ! At only 10 minutes from Inveraray, the B&B is well located. Maggie welcomed us with kindness, she is very attentive to her guests. The breakfast was very good, it is also possible to have a packed lunch for those who do not wish to have breakfast! If we ever come back to Scotland, we will go back to Maggie's as everything was perfect! Thank you so much!

Robert the owner is the meeter greeter and he was chatty, informative and attentive throughout our very short stay. We booked last minute for a get away from our own holiday cottage business and to attend a fair at Inverary Castle. The building has an interesting history. Everything is spotless including the sunny breakfast room looking over Loch Fyne. The breakfast was delicious. Plenty of options from fresh food and bio yoghurt, cereals porridge and more. The salmon, eggs, meats and other produce is carefully selected from local producers. Quality food, delicious and well presented. Excellent coffee in a cafetiere and fresh tea with a strainer. Nice touches that set you up for the day. We ended up with the attic room from a last minute booking, which was clean with a good shower in the en-suite. The window overlooking Loch Fyne can be opened along with the Velux window at the rear to get a welcome through draft and fresh air on warm days. The gardens are spacious if you have the time and weather to sit out. The location was ideal for us as we needed to drive, though able bodied guests could enjoy the less than a mile stroll to the main street in Inveraray. The house has a guest lounge and an additional WC at ground level. Thank you to Robert and Jana for making our stay a very pleasant one. We felt re-charged after we left.

The welcome was very warm - like at a friend's house - personal greeting and chat on arrival. We also highly appreciated Robert's advice about local restaurants and places to visit. The house is in a beautiful location with great views on Loch Fyne and the surrounding hills. The inside of the house is beautifully furnished and shows great attention to detail. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious with an own coffee machine. The view on the loch was stunning! Fantastic fresh breakfast with lots of choices available - the porridge was ever so delicious (thank you Jana!) and again we felt like at home being able to have a little chat in the morning with Robert or Jana. They were both very friendly and helpful - simply the best hosts on our tour through England, Wales and Scotland. Good parking spaces in front of the hotel. An amazing experience - we certainly come back!

Beautifully restored Victorian fishing lodge. The room we stayed in was modern with super comfy bed, luxury linens and great shower. Great views across Loch Fyne from the breakfast room. The owners are super friendly and Janna makes a delicious breakfast! We had an early start and both Rob and Janna did everything they could to help us get away on time with a packed breakfast and a fully charged EV! Thanks for your hospitality. We would definitely stay again next time we visit Inverary.

Beautiful property inside and out in a beautiful location- 3 mins drive into town, 10-15 mins easy walk. Jana and Robert ( our hosts) were very friendly and welcoming, happy to accommodate any requests we had and were keen to advise us on things to do in the area. Room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. Large selection of cereals, yogurt and fruit and then several delicious home cooked hot options. Everything made from quality local ingredients and you could definitely tell. Breakfast was restaurant quality and the best we have encountered during our travels. They were also very accomodating in regards to dietary requirements and had gluten free and dairy free options available. Bed was very very comfortable, sheets were top quality and beautifully soft, towels were fluffy and soft and the shower was powerful and warm.

Lovely comfortable room overlooking a lawned area and garden. Bed comfy and bathroom modern and clean. Good breakfast each morning and I highly recommend the langoustines if they are on the menu. The dining room overlooks the loch. Great to have the heated pool and jacuzzi.

The swimming pool was great, with fantastic views, we watched the sun rise from the jacuzzi. We really enjoyed our evening meal, delicious and well seasoned. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location.

It is a very comfortable, elegant property overlooking the loch. The room was quite small but nicely furnished. I did not use the spa but the swimming pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. Excellent menu and lovely, local produce. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely tasty cooked breakfast- served promptly and efficiently . Liked the big rounds of toast !!! Owner friendly and chatty and helped to carry bag upstairs . Location excellent - views over the loch - and within comfortable walking distance of the town with pub ,cafes , shops and restaurants. Small outside terrace - great place to sit and take in the view !!!

Excellent self-check-in hotel on the A83 looking directly into a stunning view of Loch Fyne at Inverary. Lovely garden with seating area for relaxing, eating, drinking or just taking in the view. Well appointed room and with fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. En-suite with fluffy towels, cotton buds, soap and shower gel. Close to lovely cafés and bars of Inverary and walkable to the beautiful castle. Would recommend!

The location was excellent, with a nice view of Loch Fyne from the window. It was quiet. Website photos are accurate. The room was large enough for two comfortable chairs and a small table at the window. The breakfast room was very pleasant. The owner was friendly and helpful. We would recommend this guest house to other visitors. We walked to nearby locations for dinner.

Perfect location overlooking the sea. Literally across the road. A 5 minute work into Inveraray high street. A range of shops and Inveraray jail. Well worth a visit. Walk on a further 10 mins to Inveraray castle.. stunning… Our hosts were amazing. So friendly and informative. This beautiful house has been kept in its former charm. Spotlessly clean and well presented. A typical country home but on the sea edge.. Breakfast was second to none. Literally a work of art and sooo tasty.. This has been the best place we have stayed in on our travels around the highlands. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxed, home from home stay. The view from our room was absolutely wonderful. All the food - dinner and breakfast was cooked and prepared to a high standard - clean plates all round. The bed was really comfortable. We had a suite which was an added bonus and the views from every room even the bathroom across Loch Fyne were wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful - our stay was perfect.

All of the staff from the owner/ management to waiters were friendly and welcoming. They kindly upgraded us to a room overlooking the loch which was lovely as this was my birthday w/end. The dinner was delicious and we loved the hotel residents sitting room - felt like home from home but better than home as ours doesn't look over the stunning Loch Fyne! We ate there each night and enjoyed breakfast too and I found a perfect xmas gift in their shop. I've since found out an old friend is moving to this area so a great excuse to return to Creggans!

We had a great stay at Ardanaiseig Hotel. The location is breathtaking, nestled by the shores of Loch Awe with stunning views that make you feel completely immersed in nature. The grounds are well maintained, with lovely walking trails and peaceful gardens to explore. The room was spacious, elegant, and comfortable, maintaining a perfect balance of modern amenities and classic charm. What truly sets Ardanaiseig apart, however, is the exceptional staff. They were attentive, warm, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well cared for. The dining experience was superb as well – the restaurant offers delicious meals with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, that changes daily.

Wonderful location, peaceful and beautiful. Great get away for a relaxing break. The hotel was full of character, with different rooms to relax in. Our bedroom was spacious with a large bathroom and area to sit and look out at a beautiful view and the bonus; this was a basic priced room. The gardens were amazing, with many interesting walks and quiet spaces to unwind. Staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable through out our stay. Always someone about, all staff were friendly and knowledgable about the area and hotel. Food was exceptional from breakfast to dinner, all served in a spacious dinning room giving guests privacy. We stayed two nights and were still spoiled for choice. Just found this wonderful hotel and would go back but sadly it is closing.

Our stay was an absolute fairytale, everything was perfect from the very first minute : we were warmly welcomed by the concierge, who led us to our room. Our room was spotless clean, stylish and beautifully furnished, there was an exquisite bathtub. Our bed was very cosy, the temperature in the room was comfortable and warm. We booked dinner and we were highly satisfied with this fine dining experience. Next morning, we had an excellent breakfast, everything was tasty and fresh. It was a real once in a lifetime experience and we would love to come back for a longer stay.

The hotel is in a quiet and in a serene spot close to Loch Awe. Its interior design is quirky but tasteful and restaurant overlooks loch. The bedroom was comfortable and all that we needed was provided. The staff were all friendly and willing to make suggestions regarding our stay and the area. You felt like one of the family, they were all very welcoming. The dinner deserves 11/10 it was superb and tasty and varied choice as was the breakfast. Thank you for making our one night stay so memorable.

We loved that the property was gorgeous in itself. The property at first glance is well kept and stunning to say the least. The staff were so nice abd accommodating. We were shown to our room which was amazing. It was spacious and the view from our windows were breath taking. We had a clear line of sight of the loch which was peaceful to look at. We took a walk around the grounds and through one of the many trails surrounding the property. It was peaceful, beautiful, and a great way to end the day. The dinner was romantic in the dining room and the food was fantastic. The smoked salmon starter was so good that we ordered another. We ended our night by playing a game of chess in the drawing room while another guest played on the piano. We absolutely loved this place and will be returning with more of our family.

We spent two nights in the porters lodge rooms. Overall the room was pleasant, spacious and welcoming. It could do with a spruce up and the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could be. However it was comfortable and the tea/coffee/biscuits/popcorn were a lovely touch. This hotel excels with its food and staff. Breakfast had a great choice. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The full cooked breakfast is easily the best I have ever had at a hotel. It really was all delicious and hot. Again dinner was brilliant. Cullen skink was tasty, the fish and chips super fresh with the crunchiest batter. The lamb shank was great and the curried cauliflower steak was amazing - my favourite meal I’ve had in quite a while. The mussels starter was a meal in itself. Tasted great and the portion sizes were generous. Staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. A special mention to Diageo! I would not hesitate in booking again.

A very comfortable and clean room with a lovely view of the loch and wee bridge. I was cosy and happy during my stay. The bed is the most comfortable hotel bed that I have slept in. The bathroom with shower is bright and modern and has very clean with lovely Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries and fluffy white towels. Great shower! Staff are so kind and helpful at check-in, in the bar, and in the breakfast room. I had lunch, dinner & breakfast in the Inn, and the food was fantastic! Only a one night stay this time, but I enjoyed every minute. Bonus was the wonderful October sunshine. Thanks very much yet again from a very satisfied customer!

Spotlessly clean, cosy, well decorated, and very comfortable room with a lovely view of loch. Plenty of plug points and a well-lit desk/ dressing table area with an additional full-length mirror on the wall, which was useful. The bathroom was pristine and had a great shower, lots of white fluffy towels, and lovely toiletries. I slept soundly each night. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in (and I said this the last time I stayed too!). Staff were all friendly, kind, and very professional. They could not do enough for me and looked out for me as I was travelling on my own. Claire on reception was especially kind and helpful.The dinners each night were delicious, as were the breakfasts. I'd single out the steak pie as being particularly tasty. The staff serving meals both morning and evening were friendly, hard working, and professional even when it was very busy. I had a really great stay for 3 nights and wished I could have stayed even longer, despite the weather being rather unpredictable for July! Inveraray is a beautiful, picturesque wee town and is a good base for touring Argyll, being close to Oban & Mull, Kilmartin Glen, Crinan, and Kintyre.

Booked via myhoteldeals - dinner bed and breakfast with glass prosecco on arrival. My partner & I had a great overnight stay here. Hotel is charming, lovely clean airy room with super comfy bed, and everything we needed. We enjoyed a few drinks in bar in afternoon, this and the adjoining pub are fabulous, reasonably priced drinks and comfy seats, and plenty outdoors tables too. We ate in the restaurant in the dining room which is a beautiful room & the atmosphere was great. This hotel excels in its service. Every single member of staff we encountered was brilliant, especially Sean who was our waiter at dinner. Food was delicious. With a great selection on menu and interesting specials. Breakfast was cooked to serve & tasty too. Inverary itself offers great walks nearby. Lovely shops and cafes, the jail & the castle, so lots to do. Highly recommend this wee gem of a hotel, you wont be dissappointed, and thanks to the staff for making it memorable.

The hotel was situated overlooking loch Goil and the views were outstanding. Hotel facilities were excellent. We made use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, all of which were maintained to a good standard. As our stay was during school term time and mid week, these facilities were almost empty and we had the pool etc to ourselves. The staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. We also made use of the spa treatments and both had a wonderful massage. The hotel is a 40 min drive to Inveraray.

The breakfast was lovely and not buffet so could order from the menu exactly what you wanted . Lovely views whilst you eat in the restaurant overlooking the lock and if the weather was better opportunity to sit outside . The views from our room were phenomenal and the room was clean and had everything we needed .There was plenty to do for all ages both indoor and outdoor activities . We came as a couple but would come back as a family and would probably bring the dog too as dogs were welcomed into the hotel bars . The live band was great on the Saturday night . Plenty of walks to do nearby . We used the facilities - pool , sauna , jacuzzi , played pool . Slept well . Came away feeling relaxed and Christmassy .

The location is wonderful with lots of outdoor and hiking activities on the doorstep. The main building with reception, hotel rooms and restaurant has clearly been refurbed recently and is very modern & clean. Loved the covered outdoor area attached to the restaurant - sitting there with a beer watching the epic views was bliss. The spa was fantastic too and you are well looked after and the service is excellent. The site is very well maintained and has shop, takeaway, pool and lots for kids to do if you are there as a family. The restaurant food was good too. The hotel room was super clean, very modern and again very freshly refurbished recently by looks of it. Great selection of tea/coffee and having both a pod Machine and kettle is perfect. Rooms were spacious. A bit warm for me, even in October but nothing opening window can’t fix (or there is a mobile aircon machine). It’s certainly a good place to relax and we really enjoyed ourselves and felt like we had truly a relaxing time.

Every single member of staff was so friendly and approachable, and helpful. We got to experience breakfast, lunch and dinner, and our food was delicious. The room was spacious and clean. The views were beautiful. Everything is pretty reasonably priced. We had a great experience in the spa too, Jane was amazing, even though we were her last clients after a very long day, she provided a top notch service and really helped work out all my knots with a lovely hot stone massage. The maid, whose name I think was Christina, was really helpful, we had to ask for a couple of extra pillows and towels for my mum and she was very obliging. She seemed to be working alone and was doing a fantastic job cleaning all the rooms!
