was clean and everything was ready! the host was very welcoming and explained in detail about the house which was very helpful in using the rooms and the hottub as well. even got a glimpse of the northern lights !

we liked everything! My fav are the smell of the fresh linen & the jacuzzi, really nice in cold weather! Jolanta is very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay, our only regret was to leave after 2 nights…

The accommodation was perfect. The host was very warm-hearted and helpful person. The apartment was clean. We cooked twice during the vatacion, and for this there was everything what we needed (baking tray, cutlery, vessel, kettle, coffe maker...etc,) The host every day changed the towels, emptied the trash, and prepared the jacuzzi for us. The host carefully paid attention even to the smallest details. My all family recommend this accomodation.

A beautiful, quaint and cozy apartment. It was bright, and clean and perfect for our family of 6. About 10 mins from the international airport but out of the busy city. You could see the waves crashing from the backyard! The hottub was left ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The host thought of everything and even left a little surprise for us. Highly recommend.

To start, the service was great! The host lives next door and was very available for questions during our stay. We also loved the hottub, nothing better than a warm bath in the middle of a lot of snow. The appartement was good as well, a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay, cabin is beautiful and has everything what's needed - amazing view, all the kitchen equipments, warm and jacuzzi which is the best part to have evening spend there. It was amazing time to spend there and we will have the best memories from there - highly recommend!

The house was on a good location, near by the airport and the sea. We did see the northern lights by the house. The house has a hottub, which is nice. And the house is cosy and had everything we need for our stay.

I LOVED THIS STAY It is truly a unique and brilliant experience, and Ragnar is the most hospitable host I've ever had the pleasure of staying with. Genuinely has set my standard for 10/10 at a new high. The location is close enough to the main dual carriageway to Keflavik and so was super convenient after an evening flight, especially at it comes with super easy parking immediately outside! The art gallery and the stories associated are truly amazing, and I can't thank Ragnar enough for sharing these with me! I LOVED the outside shower and the offer of the hot tub in the snow! What a brilliant experience! There are still all your usual conventional Western inside WC and shower if so desired, but the geothermal shower outside is much more fun! The beds were super comfy, and there were ample hot drink supplies.

The host (Ragnar) is very friendly and welcoming, and shows amazing enthusiasm for the art created by his uncle. He entertained us with stories of how the art was created and his uncle's life which made us appreciate the effort he has put into creating this space. The concept is very unique and non typical of a "normal" guesthouse stay but that is what makes Brimarsbru stand out. The property is very clean and the room very spacious. Bathroom facilities are in the main house but this wasn't an issue. There is a microwave, kettle and fridge in your room which is helpful for making a quick breakfast in the morning. The location is excellent for the airport, taking us less than 10 minutes to reach there for our morning flight. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again when we return to Iceland.

Such a unique and cozy stay! I loved all the artwork and Ragnar's stories really added so much depth to the experience. The gallery was clean, warm, and comfy, and the outdoor shower was very fun! Ragnar is also a wonderful host and was so welcoming and helpful.

This was a very unique experience! The room is a converted garage that stores some amazing paintings of a local artist, and the uncle of the host. The room is comfortable and quite warm and the beds were extremely comfortable. Despite only about three hours of “night” time in the summer, we slept really very well. The room is large and comes pretty well equipped with a sink, a fridge, a kettle, a hairdryer, a faucet for drinking water and a microwave. The fridge was handy. In addition, the host had provided coffee and milk and some other amenities that were very useful. Thoughtful! The location of Brimarsbru is extremely convenient for the airport, the Blue Lagoon and other Reykjanes sights. We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bed linens smelled great!

Ragnar is the most incredibly kind host - my flight was delayed by 5 hours and I only arrived at 1am in the morning. Ragnar went out of his way to pick me up at the airport and then drove me to the Blue Lagoon the next morning so I could sleep in. Wow! What amazing service and exceptional kindness!! The apartment was huge - exceptionally clean and wonderfully comfortable. Very close to the airport and not far from the Blue Lagoon. Wish I could have stayed much longer! Ragnar is a lot of fun with many interesting stories and a great sense of humour! I will definitely be back again next year and highly recommend staying with Ragnar and enjoying true Icelandic hospitality!

Large villa with garden and jacuzzi. The living room and bedrooms are huge. Well decorated, with all the amenities for a long stay. The floor is heated and the atmosphere is pleasant. The kitchen is fully equipped including a well-supplied food pantry. Very quiet area and near Keflavik airport, about 5 minutes. We were very sorry not to be able to enjoy this excellent accommodation due to a very late arrival and early departure.

Amazing house with a lot of light, spacious rooms, very cozy terrace, convenient kitchen and also washing machine. Everything was great, we enjoyed staying in this house a lot, it was a perfect finishing of the trip. I really advise to book the house for a group of 5-6 persons, it’s just perfect for this. Also the house is extremely close to the airport, which is amazing, when you have a morning flight! :)

Spacious, clean, 3 good sized bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen and excellent shower. Hot tub was great - didn't take too long to fill, and water already warm, so no waiting hours to reach temperature. Very convenient for airport (about 10 minutes by taxi), an easy drive to Reykjavik, minutes from Viking World and close to the volcanic region around Grindavik. Private off-street parking, and friendly and helpful host. Washer and tumble dryer very useful. Definitely recommend.

Perfect location for flying into Reykjavik. Cozy house, very warm, clean, comfortable and kitchen even had tea/coffee and a snack for tired late arrivals.

The house is beautiful. Fully stocked. Very spacious and comfortable. We stayed here for a layover in Iceland so it was close to the airport compared with the city. There is a good burger restaurant within a 5 minute walk. Grocery and other restaurants within a 15 minute walk.

The hotel impressed us with its stylish, modern interior — the lobby was so cozy we didn’t want to leave. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with large windows offering a beautiful view of the surroundings. The service was top-notch: the staff were friendly and ready to help with any questions, even happily giving advice about local attractions. The beds were extremely comfortable, which is especially important after long flights or before them. I also want to highlight the restaurant — the breakfast was delicious and varied, with fresh products. The location of the hotel is simply perfect for those traveling through Keflavik Airport: it’s just a few minutes by car to the terminal, which is very convenient for families with children. The hotel is great both for a short stay before a flight and for a first introduction to Iceland. We were completely satisfied and rated our experience as excellent! 🌟 I highly recommend it for family trips or whenever you need comfort and good service near the airport.

This hotel is perfect if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable night before or after a flight. It’s a basic Courtyard with few amenities and not much of a view. But the rooms were spotless and relaxing. Our rate included breakfast, which was pretty basic as well. The showers, as in many modern hotel bathrooms, do not have doors and allow water to spray all over the bathroom.

Liked · Close to the airport. Accessible room. Saw the Northern Lights out the back of the hotel/from my room window (which faced the back). Luggage store was available to use until check in time. Staff were helpful communicating prior to arrival by email and during my stay (helping me to get my bag to my room). Small shop in hotel lobby. Tokyo restaurant had buffet breakfast (hot and cold) and dinner menu with Japanese foods. Room had hairdryer, iron with ironing board, tea and coffee tray, safe, mini fridge. Disliked · Hotel shuttle bus only took people to the airport, does not pick up arrivals to take to hotel. No tours that I found picked up from hotel, had to go to either airport or Reykjavik bus terminal (45 minutes away) and so took shuttle to airport for buses but had to pay for taxis back each day. The swing bar door lock on the room door did not work (misaligned) but used deadbolt.

I am so glad we made the choice to stay here! We used a 2 night stop over from Icelandair on our way home from Zurich to Boston. First, the property could not have been more convenient, we rented a car at the airport and drove a mile or so to the hotel. We received a friendly greeting upon arrival for check in and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. The Assistant Hotel Manager, Maciej Forysiak, went above and beyond in helping us to make the most of our time in beautiful Iceland. He suggested that we might be able to see the Northern Lights if we went to a particular place that evening and gave us directions. Did we ever see the Northern Lights, we are beyond grateful for our good timing and his great suggestion! The next day he provided us with suggestions of what we could see on the south coast with just one day of driving, complete with a list of what to see and a map to follow. What a wonderful 48 hours we had in large part due to our choice of staying at this hotel. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of delicious selections and of course the coffee was great. Thank you and I hope we can return some day soon!

We stayed at Courtyard Keflavík as part of a group traveling to Greenland, and it was the ideal place to rest before our flight. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the breakfast was delicious — a great start to the day. The free airport shuttle was a big bonus — right on time, very convenient, and helped us save on transport. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone flying in or out of Keflavík, especially if you're connecting to an adventure like ours!

I am very grateful for the staff. At check-in they realized I had only booked for one person in the Guesthouse across the street from the Hotel Keflavik but we were two. Since there still was a room available at the hotel they upgraded us without any extra charge. We got a newly renovated room which was spacious and very nice and so was the bathroom. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant since we arrive late and finding an open dinner restaurant would have been a challenge. A lot of kitchens close at 9pm. It was a pricy but very enjoyable dinner in a nice surrounding. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection of food as well. Thanks again for the upgrade. It was very much appreciated.

Our room was upgraded, to a room inside the main hotel. The building is well maintained inside and outside. The interior design is detailed and creates a clean, warm ambience. If you look closely, the floor and wall tiles are Versace! The rooms are a good size, warm with comfortable beds. There was a nespresso coffee machine in the room too if you like coffee. There was ample, safe parking when we visited. Breakfast is served from 5am to 10am - large variety of food - English style breakfast items, pancakes, cereals, yoghurt, pastries, bread/toast, juices, cakes and more. The food tasted of quality. We would highly recommend and use again.

Our flight arrived at around 2am so we wanted somewhere close to the airport. The room was small but super cosy and the beds were comfortable, we had a good nights sleep. In the morning the shared bathrooms were always available, spacious and very clean. A 10 second walk across the road took us to a fabulous breakfast (including great coffee)- amazing to have this included in the price. It really set us up for the day. A taxi into Reykjavik cost a a huge amount, however, it still worked out as a cost effective option, as it was much cheaper than a night in a central hotel, and much closer to the airport. A great option if you have a flight arriving late or an early departure.

Accommodation was clean, well equipped and in a great location. It is owned by Hotel Keflavik across the road which looks amazing. Breakfast was served there and it is a buffet. The choice of food was incredible. Wished we were staying longer so that we could try everything. Very handy for central Keflavik and a short drive to the airport. Breakfast is served from 5.00am which is great if you have an early flight. The shared bathroom was very clean and there are two bathrooms to around 6 rooms so we never had to wait.

Right from our first encounter with reception the stay was a magical highlight of our trip. The spa is a must- fabulous. Elegant , modern and luxurious appointments. The room so comfortable and not bad size. I wish we had tried the restaurant and bar. Wonderful menu , very social setting and looked beautiful. There were local restaurants, bars and a good grocery store to walk to. A shout out to the charming , gracious Romainian spa staff ( forgot her name ) she was delightful and made us feel so welcome. Loved all the little snack dishes throughout the hotel !

We arrived at Park Inn by Radisson in Keflavik after a long drive from Vík, needing a place to stay before our early-morning flight. The location is truly ideal—just a short drive to the airport, making travel days much easier. Check-in was a breeze, and the receptionist was especially welcoming, recognizing my loyalty membership and giving us an upgrade. The room was on the first floor and seemed to be an accessible room, with a spacious bathroom and plenty of space overall. There wasn’t much that made it feel more upgraded, but it was comfortable and just what we needed for one night. There’s a restaurant, bar, and bistro in the hotel, and room service is available, though we didn’t use any of these options. The ample parking just outside the entrance was a big plus, especially since we arrived by rental car. The bed and shower were both comfortable—honestly, everything about this hotel was easy and pleasant. While it’s not the kind of place I’d choose for exploring Iceland, it’s absolutely perfect if you need to be near KEF airport or have an early or late flight out of Reykjavik. For that, I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel is about a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. The cost for the taxi is about $26.00 USD. The hotel does not provide a shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel was very clean, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable, the staff was friendly. The included breakfast was just OK. One slight criticism was that the restaurant and bar closed fairly early. Some flights come in late, and it would have been convenient to get a drink and some food. However, just diagonally across the street Olsen's restaurant is open until after 10pm, and their food is good. There is also a 7/11 type store that is open late with all kinds of food items and drinks.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The airport is about 10-15 minutes away. The hotel is in a perfect location in Keflavik. I had most of the day to explore and walked through the town. I would stay here again if I had another overnight layover or to come back for the Night of Lights festival. There is also a bar/bistro at the hotel that had friendly staff and delicious food.

This hotel was convenient to the airport and car rental companies. We checked into hotel, and then returned the rental car. Hotel within a short walk to the airport the next moring. Sure glad it was not raining! No shuttle available. Hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable beds and we had dinner in the restaurant. Food was delicious and the drinks were too! I highly recommend this hotel for convenience to car rentals and airport.

I booked into the Aurora when my flight to Greenland was cancelled. It was so easy to walk a few minutes, rather than wait for the airline to arrange shuttles, etc. Lovely room with a super comfortable bed. Good shower and coffee making facilities. The Breakfast buffet was great with a very good choice. It was one of the cleanest and well stocked buffets I've seen. The lovely staff had been working there since 4am for early flights. I had a great view over the countryside from the 6th floor. I would stay here again.

It's a nice place to stay. Good size room. it was equipped with everything we needed. It has good wifi, a sea view, a nice breakfast and a good atmosphere. 8 minutes away from the airport (by car), about 45 minutes from Reykjavik. Restaurants and shops nearby.

Convenient and cosy room next to the seashore line in Keflavík. Easy self check in and out. Very clean, warm and comfortable bed. Near to the airport, owners provided all the necessary info for booking taxis etc. very easy and pleasant stay!

Stayed here on the last night of our trip due to its proxmitiy to the airport and blue lagoon. The room was spotless and was a great layout for a couple and our 8 year old son. The jacuzzi style bath was great too. We did not get to eat here but the food looked lovely.

The perfect hotel near the airport. We got an upgrade on the Saphire suite for free! The staff was helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel room was one of the best we ever had. Stylish, innovative design, practical, clean, and equipped with automated features. Private jacuzzi on the balcony! The dinner was outstanding and we also enjoyed a rich and good breakfast before flying. All in all, a perfect last evening in great Iceland. Thank you very much to the whole Hotel Keflavik team!

Located about 20 minutes from the airport, my wife and I only stayed one night due to a layover in Iceland. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and even upgraded our room to a suite, free of charge. The suite was almost opulent with an incredible jacuzzi, waterfall shower, and an extremely comfortable bed. It was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The restaurant downstairs, while a little pricey, was absolutely delicious. On an unrelated note the Icelandic beer they served was the greatest I’ve had. (I will scour the internet to have it shipped to my home.) The hotel staff arranged a cab for us in the morning to see visit the blue lagoon. If I ever find myself in Iceland again, I will most definitely stay there.

Tidy, clean, and spacious room, with comfortable bed. Amenities within the room, such as coffee machine and kettle were very useful. Bathroom was very spacious with good range of hygiene products. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was good and diverse. Dinner served at the hotel and quality of the food was very good with a diversified menu diversified, having some more affordable choices and fine dining meals. Suficient parking spots nearside the hotel all reserved for hotel guests. Fairly close to the return car spots at the Reykjavik airport and close to the airport overall.

Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly during check in and out. They have a great restaurant for dinner which isn’t more expensive than any restaurant in Reykjavik. There is a small shop around the corner with a restaurant as well.

The booking was for an overnight stay at Keflavík airport. Only 10 mins, taxi there and free shuttle to airport the next morning, very convenient. Large twin room, quiet, clean. Had dinner in restaurant and drinks in the bar.

I absolutely loved the breakfast, and was so appreciative that they had breakfast so early from 4:00 am. This is perfect for people with early flights and the free shuttle was perfect to catch an early plane. The lounge was cozy, staff friendly, and they allowed us to leave our luggage before our room was ready so we could explore Reykjavik without baggage. Thank you so much.

The property was communicative and helpful when I had day-of questions. Staff at desk helpful at 4AM check in (due to airline difficulties) and provided room upgrade on the house. Good grab and go breakfast options, which we needed because we didn't have energy to go to the 4AM-10AM breakfast in restaurant since we got in so late (/early!)

My stay at this resort was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had. Reception and Welcome: The reception and welcome were exceptional, with attention to detail from the moment we arrived, including luggage handling and valet parking service. Facilities: The experience of swimming in the hot spring waters was one of the best experiences of my life. Additionally, the resort offers fantastic facilities such as a cold jacuzzi, a hot jacuzzi, a steam room, relaxation rooms, massage rooms, reading rooms, a gym, and a terrace for viewing the Northern Lights. Accommodation: The rooms were very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The decor was elegant, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was the best ever, and the bed was one of the most comfortable in the world. The view from the balcony in the bedroom was very beautiful, and we were able to see the Northern Lights. Food: The food was delicious and varied. The restaurant offers a wide range of local and international dishes, and every meal was a unique experience. The service in the restaurant was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. Overall Impression: We enjoyed every moment we spent there, and everything was perfect. I will definitely repeat the experience many times.

Very hip hotel at The Blue Lagoon with its own private lagoon and spa. Very relaxing, excellent helpful staff- thank you Thor. Wonderful room looking out onto the lava fields-amazing scenery. Lovely breakfast and dinner at Lava restaurant . The lagoon and spa were amazing.

This was our favorite hotel ever, period. Their private Blue Lagoon pools were so beautiful. We were in and out of them all day. The restaurants were all delicious. Moss was super delicious - every course - and also a really fun experience. Not pretentious. And for lunch I recommend the the teriyaki beef carpaccio in the spa restaurant. So good! (And even more fun to have in your bathrobe between swims!)

Unbelievable scenery, cosy feel and very professional. Breakfast was great with many options both healthy and not so much ✅. A fantastic place to spend a couple of days relaxing and a good base for adventuring.

honestly, this was my first time staying in a hostel, so I don't have the proper context to compare hostel to hostel, but comparing to a hotel, Start hostel was clean, quiet, I felt safe, the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, simply decorated with just what you need. Beds were comfy. Though the bathroom maybe seemed a little dated, everything was clean and in working order. The room had plenty of outlets/ plugs and even had USB ports, so we could easily plug in our cell phones for charging without a converter. The breakfasts was an elevated continental offering with hot and cold cereals, a variety of baked goods, a large assortment of fresh fruit, breakfast meat (cold not hot, so no bacon or sausage) and hard boiled eggs, plus Coffee, tea, etc. We stayed one night, so that we were close to the airport for our flight the next morning. It was perfect because we also had a reservation for the Blue Lagoon the night before, and Start hostel was a quick drive over and back. WE had a family suite which had lots of space including 2 bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again for convenience to the airport!

Excellent affordable hotel near airport. Very good free breakfast. The staff were very helpful. At 4:45am, one staff member bussed my empty breakfast plates (breakfast starts at 4am), personally knocked on my door for the wake up call I requested and coordinated taxi transport to airport (cancelling one taxi so I could share taxi cost with another departing guest). Amazing service and at o' dark thirty! Lots of cool seabirds in the area too! Nothing to do in this area without a car, but lots of peace and quiet and great for walks. Note: I took bus from airport and it was a little tricky to find the hotel. I did a bit of walking. However, I did not have wifi with google maps...that would have better helped my bus driver to know the closest bus stop. Wifi could be a bit stronger and the rooms need do not disturb signs (I made my own sign after housekeeping mistakenly woke me up on day 1). Overall, I highly recommend Start Hostel. No frils but great value for Iceland!

Brilliant buffet breakfast that started early enough for us the eat before going the airport. Room was clean and comfortable, if a little sparse and dated. Location is very quiet - not much around. Staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. Overall a useful place to stay if you need to near the airport.

First of, the property is close to airport - about a ten minute taxi ride (take the property's advice and use the cab they suggest - it is cheaper) so it was quite easy to pick up our bags at 630 am , hop in a cab, get to our our room, and rest-up after our overnight flight. Secondly, the area is unique, in a good way. It is on the grounds of a former US base along with other hotels and businesses, and so you can easily walk to restaurants or to get a drink. We liked the Take Off Bistro nearby. Thirdly, the staff is friendly and helpful. Finally, it is a great breakfast buffet with lots of options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. In face, you good easily get enough to eat there to make lunch unnecessary. The buffet starts at 4 am which is great if you have an early flight.

On our trip the was my biggest concern, staying in a hostel with an 84 year old women. Boy was I wrong this place was excellent, clean, awesome breakfast and close to airport. We stayed in a five single bed room with private bathroom. Shower is a little high step to get into but other than that the people were great and helpful and delicious breakfast starting at 4am for our early flight. Situated on an old US Air Force station I questioned it when driving in but will not make that mistake again

Best value that I could find in an expensive country. You are paying for a room to sleep in and take a shower in. It does a great job in that regard. The owners are polite and English is not a problem anywhere in the country. They start learning in the third grade and begin it seriously in the 5th. The room was clean and neat. Will need an electrical adapter for Iceland. Soap and shampoo are provided. Small fridge and no microwave, but there is one in a common area behind door #9. Hand and bath towels provided daily. Location is very close to Blue Lagoon, but in a small residential/dock area along the coast. Bonus grocery store a few miles up the road toward the airport. Easy drive to the big city or wherever. Cork floor and probably in-floor heating because no heater is visible. Two thermostats in our room. Warm and cozy at all times. TV made loud noise so didn’t use since we didn’t care anyway. Gas station just a few hundred feet beyond hotel. Good price. Safe area it seemed—although I think that applies to all of Iceland. Never heard one aircraft the whole time at the hotel. Wifi login on the room’s wall.

The Hotel Vogar was a great family own and run hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. You must have a have a car; unless that you are going to take a taxi to the hotel from the airport for one night. We based out of the Hotel Vogar for one week and we were very pleased. The rooms are not fancy, but they are clean and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The town of Vogar does not have a restaurant or market. There are plenty of walking or running options in Vogar. However, there are many markets and restaurants in Keflavik which is only a 10 minute drive from the hotel. There is a COSTCO in Reykjavik, which has the cheapest gasoline in Iceland and it is a 20 minute drive. The COSTCO is generally on the route to any of the tourist destinations--bring your COSTCO card. We would recommend the Hotel Vogar and if we are vacationing in southern Iceland, we would stay there again

We chose to stay in an out of the way place instead of staying in Reykjavik. Vogar seemed the perfect spot. Sitting between the airport and Reykjavik, the stillness of the town was welcoming. The room was warm and welcoming. The bed very comfortable. There were blackout curtains, down duvets and down pillows. After the noise of NYC, it was wonderful to relax. Check in was simple and the gentleman at the desk, friendly.

Our flight was canceled and we found this hotel in booking.com. We didn’t have lunch and we were planning to have dinner in near by restaurant, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to short staff. We were so sad for cancelled flight and dinner, but fortunately owner was very kind to us to make very delicious soup and hot bread for us. Thanks again for your kindness.

Comparing to other hotels in the area this by far is the best choice. Room is spacious and clean. WiFi works great and hot water. Breakfast had a lot of options (for an iceland breakfast lol) Staff was kind too. No problem getting a converter to charge my stuff. All in all, great experience and for SUCH A GREAT PRICE.

Had a wonderful experience here. I can't describe how comfortable the building was. Agata is so sweet, and personally drove me to my covid appointment when I was afraid I wouldn't make it! The refrigerator is always stocked with small things such as meat, cheese, bread, et cetera. Cookies and pretzels are left in the living room on the table, next to a "little library" containing books in different languages. The bed and covers were literally perfect for my sleeping conditions, and they even provide your room with 2 pillow options and 2 blanket options depending on how soft or hard you like your pillow. A comfortable bathrobe comes with your room if you wish to shower (bathrooms come with shampoo and soap, and are stocked daily with clean towels). Hot water is always available. There is even a hottub out back which I did not get to try before leaving, but I plan on hopefully coming back!! There is also a bus stop nearby if you wish to go to Reykjavik 40 minutes away! Reynir also gave me gloves and a hat when I was cold and my room was not yet ready on my first day - all of this an experience I wont forget. Thank you Reynir and Agata for your awesome service

Very comfortable and relaxing. Appreciated the facilities for making tea and coffee, and the cosy dressing gown for visiting the shared bathroom. Very convenient for the airport (with free shuttle) and also easy walking distance to several restaurants. A perfect, good value location for a last night after a strenuous sightseeing trip around Iceland.

I enjoyed my stay at this quaint guesthouse. The owners have furnished and decorated this older building with an eclectic array of antiques that gave it a fun, homey atmosphere. There is a refrigerator in one of the common areas for guest use and an eating area on the second floor with simple dining amenities (utensils, dishes, a microwave, etc.) though not a full kitchen. Teas and coffee were provided, there were even cookies in the sitting room. There were several common bathrooms (WCs) available for guests and all were well stocked including many little extras. The beds even seemed to be the most comfortable I encountered. Everything was clean and well maintained. This all suited my needs perfectly. This was the least expensive place I stayed during my 2 weeks in Iceland, including at several unsettling hostels, but was without a doubt the most comfortable and pleasant. (Granted, I was trying to see the country as economically as possible.) I would highly recommend it.

I arrived on a late night flight was able to take a taxi from the airport easily. It was very quiet and comfortable, with a very sweet communal sitting area. It's very convenient to the airport and a lot of major car rental places. Good grocery shopping in the area if you need to stock up. The shared bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and it was so thoughtful of the hosts to include robes and a hairdryer for guests to use. I'd stay here again in a moment, and if you have a car, parking is easy.

This was a fantastic place to stay for a quick night before flying. I needed to stay close to the airport with transportation to KEF included, and this was perfect. In fact, I would go out of my way to stay here again, the rooms were very comfortable for a single person, and had all the trappings of home in the common areas. The bathrooms were shared, but felt so much more comfortable than individual hotel bathrooms. Within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops, the proprietor gave us good recommendations for Icelandic food.

Our stay in Keflavik was short but wonderful! The staff at the front desk was incredibly friendly, both at check-in and check-out. One of the highlights was the complimentary shuttle to the airport, which made our travel so much more convenient. The hotel’s restaurant was also a pleasant surprise—offering a great breakfast selection and a delicious dinner. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a perfect spot for our one-night layover. Plus, the location was ideal, being so close to the airport. Highly recommend for anyone needing a convenient and comfortable stay in Keflavik!

This is genuinely one of the loveliest hotel’s we have stayed in. The rooftop hot tub - wow! The food, both breakfast and the restaurant - wonderful! The tuna starter, beef and salmon mains, plus the children’s food, was all delicious and some of the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. The beds were comfortable, the rooms, lovely. Location-wise, it is remote but without the town of Keflavik, and Reykjavik itself, being out of reach. We walked to Keflavik town each day, and also along the coastal path to the Viking Museum. Exactly what we were looking for in a family break. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We’ve already recommended the hotel to friends looking to travel to Iceland and we will certainly be back. Hotel Berg is the perfect hotel for a stay in Keflavik and brilliant for early and late flights with a free airport shuttle!! The staff were brilliant and welcoming, with a great restaurant that cooks delicious food! They even have a path behind the hotel to a dark peninsula which is perfect for seeing the Northern Lights! Highly recommend any traveller and is the perfect hotel for the airport!

The hotel is in a quiet town, just up the hill from a troll’s cave. The room was of a good size and very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were quite good. The restaurant served a good dinner. The free transfer to the airport was very convenient.

The B&B Guesthouse in Keflavik was perfect. We weren't in Iceland long, so we needed a clean, comfortable place to land for a few hours sleep, a hot shower, and a satifying breakfast not far from the airport. The Guesthouse exceeded expectations! The staff was friendly and accomodating, and we felt safe. We'll be back!

We stayed here the night before our 6 am flight out of Keflavik. Even before arriving, they were very responsive to any inquiries via messaging on Hotels.com. Upon arriving, it was the best, quickest check in ever, while still friendly. The included breakfast starts as early as 3 am, which was great for us since we needed to head to the airport by 4 am. We arranged a 4 am shuttle and they were ready before that time, helping us with our luggage. The airport is less than 10 minutes away so really convenient. Looked up dinner options during our single night, and this place actually has a 5-star rating on some google searches. Unfortunately, we arrived past their closing time during our stay which was 3 pm. Overall, we enjoyed the attentive service of the friendly people in this place.

It wasn't a fancy hotel but it was clean, quiet, cozy and safe feeling. Breakfast was very good, they bring out everything in containers and its up to the guests to serve themselves. Walking distance to restaurants. I would definitely stay their again.

I chose to stay here as it was priced really well compared to the airport hotels nearby and offered free shuttle either to or from the airport, which other hotels do not. Please note they only offer one way (you can choose an airport pickup or dropoff but not both). My room was clean and so were the shared bathrooms. My only complaint is the noise around the room. My room and all of the others in the main building are next to the kitchen. The kitchen opens at 3AM for breakfast and my room was next to it. I heard people talking and banging plates, cups, silverware all night. In the end, I was only at the B&B for one night on my way to KEF so I didn't mind too much, but it was a pretty terrible night of sleep. Also, I was up and in the shared shower at 6AM but I noticed by 7:30AM there were people in line waiting for a shower or to use the shared bathrooms. Plan ahead if you have an earlier flight. The neighborhood is super walkable and only 5 monutes from a main street with restaurants and shops.

The owners are amazing and so incredibly helpful! They even allowed me to change my date, due to my own error, on my reservation even though it was non refundable 🙏 Clean and quiet! Best sleep ever! Awesome kitchen and breakfast as well ❤️💕

This was a great property. The location was perfect, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were very pleased and would stay here again in the future. The shower drain backs up so water ends up in the entry way. It has been going on a while because there is damage to the woodwork on the corner by the floor. But in the scope of things, a minor detail. We had some difficulty because there was supposed to be an automated message with instructions on how to check in by lock box. Unfortunately for reasons I do not understand, we never got the email. And no it was not in the junk folder. However this was not the property managers fault. In fact I called the phone number in the door for emergencies and the manger was very helpful and kind. Things happen and the problem was easily solved. The common area was spotless. Stocked with coffee and plates and everything you would need. We love the idea of this property. They really have done a good job.

Our stay here was an ideal way to end our trip to Iceland. It is located in a peaceful and quiet area, close to the airport and car rental locations, which made an early morning flight conveniently easier. The room was sparkling clean and spacious, and the amenities were perfect. The shower and heated towel rack were A+. We also loved that the TV had streaming services available that were already logged-in (with accounts for each cabin), meaning we didn’t have to use our personal accounts. The central kitchen area was great for breakfasts, and the parking and pathway system made rolling our luggage to and from the car easy. I would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed one night before an early flight at nearby KEF. The cottage was clean enough. The bed was super comfortable and the wifi was reliable. I loved the towel warmer in the bathroom and the little common room with a kitchen. The area is beautiful and quiet with quick access to the airport. However, the shower never truly become warm which is disappointing in Iceland. Also, I could not access Netflix even though it said it was available, no channels were available either. The surrounding town is SMALL. I ventured out to find food at the one restaurant that was in town, and although it was supposed to be open it was closed. A local said “sometimes it’s open.” We ended up at the gas station which sufficed, but just be prepared, especially if you’re without transportation like I was.

Great property, would highly recommend if you have an early morning flight from Keflavik. It’s less than 10 min drive to the airport and there is a gas station in town. Nice little cottages. We stayed in one with two twin beds and access to the shared bathrooms. Beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were large, modern, and clean. Didn’t use the kitchen ourselves but did see other guests cooking meals in there. Self check-in and check-out was super easy. Google Maps took us to the wrong location (campground next door) but we quickly figured out where we were supposed to go. Only complaint was that the wifi is very spotty inside the cottages. Had to leave the door cracked open to get a good signal, which was less than ideal because it gets quite cold and windy at night.

My cottage was amazing. The check-in process was simple, the amenities were great, and seclusion allowed for great views of the northern lights. The location was also a perfect distance from the Reykjavik, about 45 minutes driving, along a pretty, scenic route. There was a lot to explore just around the Reykjanes peninsula including things that I would never have known were there except for the maps that iStay provided in the commons area. All in all, this was a perfect stay option for me.
