Just returning from a First World War five day tour. This hotel was our base. Nice large room and spacious shower room although you did have to be a bit careful getting out!! Comfortable bed but a bit too soft for me however I still slept well. There were two pillows and of course I chose the soft one in error but switched once I noticed my mistake. Breakfast was copious and good and set you up for the very long days. They do offer evening meals which I believe are prepared off site and just heated up in the hotel kitchen before serving. A very nice choice of courses and very reasonable as well. I had dinner at the hotel on one night and thoroughly enjoyed it with a very nice glass of rose. The hotel is very centrally located and within minutes of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Room was spacious and clean. The hotel lobby and bar area was very clean and well presented. We were welcomed by a gentlemen with a grey white beard who was excellent and very nice. We got a warm welcome! Coffee was amazing. Great value for money. Location was brilliant! vibrant area full of bars, restaurants and shops.

Went on an organised coach trip Bed and breakfast. The rooms are big and clean and the beds are so comfy! Best nights sleep ever in a hotel. Breakfast area small but enough tables and good restocked when asked staff. Good selection of continental breakfast and also bacon scrambled eggs and beans. The bread was freshly baked and delicious. Had a drink in the bar ( which is also the restaurant) reasonably priced. 2 Belgium beers 9euro. Set near the pretty town square we had the added bonus of their small Christmas market. Lovely stay

Excellent hotel for Leger Battlefields tour trip.We stayed for three nights and the whole experience was wonderful. Easy check in, lovely clean room,comfortable beds and a great hot and cold buffet breakfast. We even had tea coffee and a kettle supplied in the room. Easy walk in to town to bars and restaurants.

Wow- we had a large, very comfortable room, delightfully and thoughtfully decorated to celebrate a Belgian beer. It was immaculately clean and we even had a jacuzzi bath. The patron was super friendly and helpful. In the morning we were treated to an excellent breakfast. We will be back! :)

The accommodation is a few minutes walk from the centre, in a very quiet and convenient location. The rooms are a good size and clean, also bathroom and the air conditioning was excellent. The owner Carmen was incredibly helpful and stored our bikes in her locked garage just around the corner. Breakfast was also excellent with a large variety and good coffee. All in all it was really enjoyable and we will stay here again next time we visit.! One additional note to add is that the hotel is very bike friendly and that Carmen will wash cycling kit for guests.

The hotel room was spot on clean and neat. A comfortable bed and amazing rain shower included in the ensuite bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay with a friendly host. Would recommend the breakfast as the host will go out of her way to provide a good breakfast. Truly a good stay.

This hotel provides very high quality for a very affordable price. The rooms are spatious, beds very comfy (and I'm saying that as a back pain patient), and the bathroom is spotless with a great rain shower. The location is also perfect, just at the edge of the city centre of Kortrijk. The host goes above and beyond to provide everything you need as a guest. I would definitely book here again. The breakfast is also highly recommended, in a cosy little pub with lots of options.

The multilingual receptionist was super helpful, including about the surroundings! The staff was also super helpful when I couldn't find the (unusual) way of switching from the bathtub's faucet to the shower function (just pull the tip of the faucet down). The bed, many pillows, many towels, tea set, choice of TV channels, etc were great. I felt the 20-euro breakfast was fine if you intended to make it a whole brunch, otherwise it's too expensive for just 2 slices of bread and a cup of coffee. So I had what I needed in my bedroom. The view to the quiet, old-fashioned (but clean & renovated) street was fine too. I strongly recommend the women's apparel shop across the street from the hotel in the Vlamingstraat (n°9), "Amorie": great quality for value (which is not always the case in the expensive nearby commercial street Ooststraat), helpful staff (and not pushy, unlike some of those salespeople on the Ooststraat). The Parkhotel receptionist warned me that if you need a hairdresser in the neighborhood, you had better set an appointment in advance, and before 6pm. Roeselare/Roulers is great! Recommended too!

The room was beautiful and felt very luxurious. The staff was very kind. When I left for a festival and came back in the night they asked how it was. I felt very welcome. The breakfast area was amazing. A lot of stuff to choose from. There was so much I couldn't try it all in my 2 day stay. Also my view was amazing!

The Hosts were very nice and helpful and If you want peace and quite in the countryside then this is the place to unwind, location is good for visiting many places of interest,Continental breakfast had loads to choose from and really sets you up for the day. Within 15 kilometers of the property in any direction you can find a wide variety of good restaurants

She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, showed us around the spacious property and even changed us to a quieter room. We simply loved our stay here. To be honest, we would love to book another trip in this direction just to stay here again. Don’t think twice before booking—it won’t disappoint. The place is stunning and designed with meticulous attention to detail. The mattresses were perfect, and the rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need. You can relax indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference and the weather, of course. It’s really just perfect.

My Husband and Myself wanted to spend Valentine's day in a Romantic,Beautiful,quite and country site environnement ..This was just the perfect place..it's well decorated, very very neat and the lady we met was so so welcoming and Polite..We wished we stayed longer..

Wow, what a fabulous place to stay! The castle is lovely and the gardens are stunning. All facilities on hand. Lovely pool and jacuzzi, coffee machine and honesty bar. Breakfast was outstanding.

Stunning hotel, beautiful grounds , friendly and helpful staff and host . Room was very comfortable , clean , tidy . We had family room on top floor. Very steep stairs to access and no lift so need to carry suitcases up long way . Room was on two levels . Main master bedroom , lounge , bathroom and separate toilet on lower floor . 4 single beds in attic accessed by very steep narrow circular stairs - not suitable for young children , quite dangerous . Only 1 power socket in attic and no wardrobes , tables , bedside cabinets , lights in attic ! Very basic and low ceilings. One toilet on main lower floor only. Bathroom with separate rain shower and large bathtub . Main room was spacious , light and bright with ample storage and very comfortable . WiFi was good. Breakfast was buffet continental and plenty of choice . Would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing stay but not for a family with young children.

Excellent location for visiting the local area. We had booked the property to visit the Kasteel brewery previously, and returned on this trip to do so again. We brought bikes with us and the local bars and restaurants are all easily accessible by bike or on foot. We also used the local train station for a day out to Bruges which was a short journey and easy to navigate. Our host, Lady of the house, Laurence is amazing. Her communication prior to us arriving and her care and attention to our needs while visiting was nothing short of fantastic. Laurence ensures you feel like royalty while you are under her roof. Breakfast is delicious with a wide range of options available, all served in a beautiful dining room overlooking the gorgeous gardens. The communal drawing room has an honesty bar and stocks all sorts of lovely drinks for your perusal. We didn't get to use the hot tub this visit but, previously we had the sheer luxury of reclining in the warm bubbles while drinking champagne from the house bar all by ourselves. This is our second visit and we are already looking at a third in the summer so we can have use of the pool!

Easy to find with the help of Google Maps. Parking right in front of hotel and plenty of space. Friendly man at reception, who could oversee the parking area and must have spotted our Dutch car. He had our room cards ready. Spacious (triple), modern room, with sliding door to small balcony. Lovely view at church. Nice bathroom with complimentary shampoo, shower cap, soap, shower gel. Room and bathroom spotless. Very comfy beds. Telly, desk, plenty of lights and sockets. Breakfast was well set out with plenty of choice ; bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs, jams, meats & cheese, salmon, yoghurts, cereals, juices, fruit, several types of bread and sweet rolls. WMF coffee machine. Will definitely stay again when needed.

This is an excellent hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. It is quiet, well-maintained and has very comfortable rooms and modern facilities. The location is also perfect and has a range of bars and restaurants within walking distance. It is quiet, has a large car park and secure bike storage in the garage. Thoroughly recommended!

I spent a week here with my team of 6 people. The hotel was great. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are well appointed with desk, very comfortable bed, aircon that works and a window you can open and a bathroom with a rainfall shower which was magnificent. Wifi throughout the property at a good speed as well. Breakfast is the standard continental fare with eggs and bacon as warm options, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruit juices, tea and coffee etc... Town centre with lots of bars and restaurants is a 5 minute walk away. All in all excellent; location, staff and comfort.

Large, light and airy room . Very well equipped. Large , comfortable bed . Nice bathroom and a great shower. Plenty of parking . An excellent buffet breakfast included in the reasonable price . Lots of choice , great bread , pastries , ham, cheese etc Plus bacon and scrambled egg if you wanted something cooked . Good coffee and orange juice. Very helpful manager greeted us warmly. Hotel does not have a restaurant and he recommended an excellent restaurant a few minutes walk away . He even booked us a table . We would stay here again .

Stayed one night. The staff on reception were excellent taking time to give us lots of local advice on where to eat and drink. The room was clean and comfortable with a very powerful shower. There were even facilities to make a hot drink in the room. The breakfast is a simple buffet but everything was fresh and tasty, would definitely stay again.

Very warm welcome from our host, also for our dog he was so welcome. Beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing location, quiet but in the historic town& great parking. Very nice room and there was no noise.( courtyard room). Very good breakfast buffet in.their beautiful restaurant with the fire on and Christmas decorations. The Christmas market was 3 minutes away and town centre too. We be back!

Stayed here for the rugby World Cup in a standard room which was large and clean. Shower and toilet plus area with sink. Complimentary toiletries which were very nice. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly. Location perfect. Would stay again.

Everything was great. The hotel is modern and clean, the bedding is very comfortable and the breakfast varied and sufficient. It is also a relatively short drive to Brugge and Kourtrijk. There is also a heated pool and a fitness center, both of which I did not have the opportunity to try.

Booked a standard room, incl breakfast for 3 nights. Its a bit of a hike from the railway station but doable and certainly easier without bags on day trip to Ieper. We received a very informed welcome, a map and 2 subsequent considered recommendations for restaurants, which we really enjoyed. There is a lift serving all floors. We were allocated Room 54 on the first floor. There is a drink dispenser on our floor. Our room is an average size with an extra single bed in it. There is a small desk and 2 upright chairs. A tv and the wifi is free, fast and reliable. The air con is effective and whisper quiet. Our windows overlooked the street but it was very quiet and we slept well. The ensuite has a shower over the bath and enough room to store our own toilettries. Everything is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is held on the ground floor behind the bar between 7-11. A nice selection of good quality items incl yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, cold meats breads and pastries. There is the offer of freshly cooked eggs. A great coffee machine delivering good coffee. We enjoyed the music at breakfast time too. The city of Kortrijk is easily walkable and the hotel well located for enjoying the city. Diagonally opposite is a nice park. We enjoyed our time at Square Hotel, considering it excellent value for money. We recommend staying here.

It is a great 3 stars hotel in Kortrijk. Clean, comfy bed, good breakfast and allows pets. It was a perfect base in Kortrijk for the night. Grote Markt is within 5 minutes walk and all withing easy reach. Has a park facing it with a nice café. Great price/value ratio. We stayed in room 65. Pros: - Friendly staff that is very helpful and nice. - Room has all what needed for a night and clean. - Pillows are very comfortable and bed is very good. - Breakfast is very yummy and they prepare eggs on order and costs 18 euros (worth it). They even gave a cava with no extra charge. - GroteMarkt within 5 minutes and station is within 12 minutes walking. - Shower pressure is great and its spacious. - Has a full bar downstairs near the entrance. - Free water bottle in the room. Cons: - The door between room and toilet is a sliding vague glass door. Not ideal it not a couple. - A tea kettle in the room would’ve been a nice touch.

Called Square Hotel, this hotel is really a crooked square and judging from the plan no room is the same size or shape. It is a few minutes walk from the town centre/market square and river and is in a quiet area. It is on a corner and parking can be had outside if you are lucky or in an underground car-park a short distance away. The room is a fair size and contains a wardrobe, a luggage bench, a desk and two chairs. The white en-suite bathroom is a good size with modern fittings and a heavy glass door. A good range of toiletries was provided also tissues and hair-dryer with nozzle. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. The reception, bar, breakfast room and cloakroom are all on the ground floor around a central area, hence the name Square Hotel. A good breakfast was provided which included bread, pastries, croissants, packet and house cereal, Actimel. natural yoghurt, fruit juices, fruit salad, cold meats and cheeses, 7 jams, Nespresso and teas; a cooked breakfast is also available on request. A quiet and comfortable hotel.

I stayed here for 10 days during a trip to the Belgian cycling classics. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, the breakfast is good and has plenty of variety ranging from fresh fruit to viennoiseries, and the staff are professional yet welcoming. The hotel is in an excellent location in that it is quiet, yet within a five minute walk of the beautiful square and the river front. Many good restaurants are nearby. It is also a very good location to cycle from with easy access out onto the rural roads.

I recently stayed at the Square Hotel in Belgium and had a fantastic experience—especially as a cyclist. The location is ideal, with easy access to great cycling routes right from the doorstep. Whether you’re into flat scenic rides or more challenging terrain, it’s all nearby. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. My room was quiet and well-kept, with a good bed for resting after long days in the saddle. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and they really understood the needs of cyclists. Breakfast was spot on—fresh, hearty, and perfect fuel before heading out for a ride. Overall, the Square Hotel made a great base for exploring the area on two wheels. Highly recommended for anyone planning a cycling trip in Belgium.

Everything! Arrival: Great friendly welcome when you arrive - easy loading bay/30 min free parking when you arrive allowing family to get checked in easily. Rooms: Comfortable, clean room and beds with access to balcony. Double sink and good shower/bath. Amenities: Decent indoor swimming pool (a rarity in Belgian hotels), plus fantastic array of spa rooms (multiple saunas, steam rooms and a quiet "star-lit" room). Well-equipped gym too! Food & Beverage: Lovely bar, which is popular amongst locals and the breakfast had an amazing selection from healthy to kids faves such as nutella and biscoff spread. Eggs made as you like them by the chef in front of you and lots of gluten-free and vegan options too. Staff were friendly and showed great customer care throughout, even after check-out.

hotel is very nice and comfy, staff is great! at the time of our stay, the restaurant was under construction/repairs/maintenance, but the bar was great and they also serve food if you need. great bar, great staff. the breakfast is fantastic, has everything and all is fresh and delicious. the pool and wellness center is beautiful and was really chill. room was nice and had room for everything, even our open luggage, and bedroom and bathroom were very, very clean. very quiet at night, you can sleep really well.

Fabulous hotel in a lovely town we had not been aware of before we stayed but which looked like somewhere we would like to come back to explore when we have more time. The spa facilities were amazing! These definitely set the hotel apart from others. The restaurant was closed for dinner as it was a public holiday but we had a tasty meal at the bar with great service instead. Breakfast also great and the room was fantastic! Wish we had stayed longer!

This hotel located pretty much next to the train station, has a friendly staff. It offers a clean room, a comfy bed, and a tasty breakfast buffet in the morning. It also has a garage to safely park your bike. Worth considering.

The staff were very helpful and everywhere in the hotel was in really good condition internally. The Jules Bar was very pleasant for a drink, with heaters if you wanted to sit outside, but as the bar menu was a little limited we went to the main restaurant and had a really excellent meal. There was a good range of food on offer for breakfast.

Vijfwegen is not a fancy hotel with a grand lobby, but it has everything the professional traveller will appreciate: outstanding service, very clean and comfortable rooms, fast free internet connection, free coffee and tea, a bar and an excellent breakfast offering. Only "downside", there is no in house restaurant but there are enough alternatives at walking distance. Simple but perfect for a short professional stay.

We have just returned from 3 nights in the hotel. Very clean, spacious rooms, service very good and vey friendly. The restaurant is very good, ( highly recommend the steak and the coffee ). Roeselare is a very nice town and well worth a visit, this hotel is a must if you want a relaxed and friendly holiday. Big thank you to the staff.

Very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious. I stayed in a single room so was the smaller rooms but even so it was big enough for 1 person and had everything and more you'd find in a bigger room at other hotels. Plenty of room for clothes, lovely shower, plenty of charging sockets, air-conditioning and TV (got English channels) and a big bonus was a fridge in the room. If you're thinking of staying here then I definitely recommend it. I will be staying here again on my next trip.
