We stayed here while our son was in the ICU following heart surgery, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations during a very difficult time. The staff consistently went above and beyond to support us, helping us feel as comfortable and cared for as possible under the circumstances. Due to the nature of our situation, we stayed in several different rooms over the course of our visit, and each one was spacious, clean, and offered lovely views. On our final night, we stayed in the adaptable room with our son, which was exceptionally well designed. Features like the full-length mirror, remote-controlled curtains, and fully accessible bathroom made a real difference and reflected thoughtful attention to detail. The restaurant staff were incredibly accommodating when we explained our son's need for space away from others. They found us a comfortable, quiet spot where he could feel at ease, and we were genuinely grateful for that level of care. Small touches like the canned water, coffee bags, and various eco-friendly solutions were much appreciated and added to the overall sense of a well-considered and welcoming environment. Thank you to everyone who made our stay a little easier—we’ll always remember the kindness shown to us during such a challenging time.

Perfect location for our stay. A comfortable stroll to the de-montfort hall for 2 nights of concerts by the mighty MARILLION! Spotlessly clean room, lovely big comfy bed & all the creature comforts anyone would need including tea, coffee, water & toiletries. Fantastic breakfast & lovely modern areas in the hotel to relax. Polite & attentive staff. Everything was perfect for us & if we ever re-visit Leicester will definitely stay again. Good value for money. Keep up the good work.

Hotel is in a great location with a 15 minute walk in to town. Great for families visiting with students nearby as a 10 minute walk to Uni. Spent some time in the bar which we all loved. Modern decor, comfy seats and good atmosphere - also delicious cocktails which went down well. Breakfast was ok, could do with more veggie options, a veggie sausage would have been good. Room was ok - I say ok as it wasn’t that clean it was clear that the carpet had not been hoovered. However room was a good size and bed comfy. You might ask why I didn’t complain at the time - I was there to enjoy time with my daughter who was graduating and didn’t want to waste time with this. Shouldn’t really have to complain either if paying £150 a night, it should be a given that the room is properly cleaned. However, this is a lovely hotel, I would stay again, I think this must have been a blip. All staff we met were lovely.

We stayed here for one night only and what a brilliant hotel this is and we can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff in reception were very welcoming and friendly. We had asked for an early check in, and the staff were so accommodating and we were extremely grateful to check-in early so that we could get ready for the wedding we were attending. Our room was so stylish with really nice furnishings, and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was really good with lots of choice. There is also a really good bar. Such a lovely, stylish hotel overall with friendly staff and a really comfortable stay. We would love to come back

Very pleasant experience checking in. Very friendly, helpful reception staff. We booked a standard twin room which was immaculately clean. Beds very comfortable and loved the walk in shower. We booked breakfast and it was amazing. Reception even booked parking for us as the hotel parking was full. Cant fault this hotel. Would definitely stay again if we ever need to stay over in Leicester.

I’ll start from arrival, easy to find with sat nav, spacious car parking, beautiful building from outside, well tended garden. We received a lovely friendly welcome, stepping into the hallway was a real treat, it’s so lovely, Derek and Les are super, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was delightful, spacious, very nicely decorated and such comfortable beds. The whole house is exceptionally clean and the small details (tea, coffee, biscuits, water and kettle in our room. Along with luxury soaps, shampoos and shower gels in our private bathroom, to tissues, cushions in our room, and a comfortable arm chair, beautiful furniture and artwork in our room and throughout the house) are fabulous, makes your stay a real treat. It’s so very interesting. I wish our stay was more than just one night. We stayed for our son’s university graduation ceremony. Breakfast was amazing, the very best I’ve had in a hotel, so much choice and freshly cooked to order. Something for everyone’s taste and plenty of it. The silverware to serve coffee and tea was not lost on us, we loved it, such a nice touch. As you can tell, we absolutely loved everything about Holywell House and our fabulous hosts. We will definitely be coming back and for longer next time. Thank you for making our short stay so memorable. Delighted I’ve found somewhere I feel so comfortable and safe (which is important when I travel alone with my daughter sometimes).

When I walked into the house I found it very cosy very welcoming,it was a cold day but house felt very warm, the bedroom was very nice very clean there was everything that I needed also the bathroom was very clean plenty of hot water to have a shower.the next morning went down for breakfast there was everything there for breakfast cereals fruit juice yoghurts the breakfast was very nice everything cooked to order.the owners were very friendly I would certainly go back and stay there again

Very comfortable and spacious room with excellent en suite shower, tea/coffee making facilities etc. Most comfortable bed. Breakfast superbly cooked and served in the splendid dining room. Derek and Lez are wonderful hosts, pleasant, friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent for the Great Central Railway and also close to the town centre. I was sad to leave after three wonderful nights and would recommend Holywell House unreservedly.

Derek and Lez were really friendly and welcoming. A home from home! We spent ages chatting in the main entrance area. They had many funny theatrical anecdotes! They also know a vast amount about the history of the place and also clearly know a lot about the local area and are big on community, which is fantastic. Loved the quirky and kitsch decor throughout. So many clocks! Lots of interesting pictures and photos on every wall, amusing statues, lampshades, candelabras. Everywhere you look there is a feast for the eyes or a conversation piece. They have put lots of effort and thought into the place and it shows. In the room, the bed was comfy. Plenty of pillows and the duvet was snug. We were nice and warm even though the weather had just turned colder. There was plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits in the room. The bathroom was small but clean. The shower was a good temperature and the towels were a good size too. Breakfast was delicious and hot and cooked to order. Great coffee too. All served by Lez with his white gloves. It gave it that extra touch of class. Thank you. We thoroughly recommend, and if we visit that way again, we know where to come!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holywell House in Loughborough and couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The property is beautifully maintained, combining classic charm with modern comfort. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches that made the stay extra special. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. The location is also excellent, quiet yet conveniently close to the town centre. The hosts were warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. It’s clear they take great pride in offering a high standard of hospitality. Overall, Holywell House is a hidden gem in Loughborough. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or leisure.

We were delighted with our one night stay. The venue is easy to find and the car park well maintained and huge. The reception from the staff was friendly and welcoming and she gave us full information about where dinner and breakfast would be served as well as internet access. The room was huge and the facilities great. The super king sized bed was extremely comfortable and there were extra pillows/blannkets if needed. The dinner was superb and delicious. Breakfast was equally wonderful with quick friendly service. Im so very pleased we found this gem online and will certainly use it again should we be in the area.

Recently stayed for two nights, a return visit after two years. A very positive experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, starting with the lady at reception and continuing with Dee and all those in the bar/restaurant. Our room was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly quiet at night. The bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows. We ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. If I were to quibble at all I would say the breakfast was on the expensive side ( not included in the room rate ) but overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Had the most special, amazing stay. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The food was delicious and the breakfast a must. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a great view over fields. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We had booked this small hotel mainly based on the description on their website for what we expected to be a peaceful, tranquil 2 nights in quiet surroundings. We would have given a 5 star review but sadly it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The location is perfect, in the small village of Elmesthorpe however, we found the hotel itself to be fairly noisy and busy for much of the time during our stay as it is open to non-residents for private functions, restaurant dining and the outdoor pool, which our room overlooked. We had booked a junior suite so was a decent sized ‘large double’ with twin beds and a sofa. Unfortunately the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and ‘lumpy’ so had poor nights sleep. The room itself was very clean, although the decor is a little tired and in need of an update to match the public areas of the hotel. What makes this hotel is definitely the staff and the quality of food served in the restaurant - both these are deserving of a 10/10 and a return visit. We found all the staff to be friendly, attentive and professional - a credit to the owners.

Recently spend 3 nights at the Badgers Mount for a business trip, also dined here for 3 nights and breakfast. The service was absolutely outstanding. All the staff were super friendly and nothing was an issue. Even me leaving my key with them whilst I went for an early morning run! The room was so spacious and comfortable. The food was always beautiful, fresh and tasty and the breakfast were quick! Just a big shout out to Dee, Alyssa and Hudson who served the team you were all so helpful and polite and always smiling!

The proprietor, Susan, very helpful and friendly. Room was ready for me on arrival, had 2 armchairs, a welcome bar of chocolate, some biscuits and a well stocked hot drinks tray plus fast boiling kettle. Bed extremely comfortable. Loved that I could open the windows for fresh air as the room was warm even though the radiator was off. Extension lead by the bed made my life easier as I could plug in my phone etc. en-suite with wash basin, toilet & shower plus body wash, shampoo, tissues, make up remover flannel & soap. Wi-fi was good and a necessity as only appeared to be 3g signal inside the building. Lovely and quiet. There is a smoking shelter outside which is a thoughtful addition. Secure parking behind remote controlled gates. Breakfast-what can I say-excellent. Freshly cooked and can have cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, full English or continental breakfast. Real coffee. If I could give higher than 10/10 I would. I will definitely return again next time I’m in the area

Susan was so very welcoming from the beginning. We stayed in the 'Wonky Room' and it was the perfect amount of quirkiness for us. Susan did all she could to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The bed was comfy, plenty of tea, coffee, toiletries etc made available in our room. Breakfast was delicious and again Susan was very attentive without being over bearing. Plenty to chose from and all fresh. We both enjoyed our stay and have booked to come back again!

I loved my stay at The Post House. The owners are so kind and helpful at all time. I felt like home. The private courtyard with secured gate was a big plus to park my bike safely. The English breakfast is amazing. All was fully clean and perfect. The bed is so comfortable. You sleep like a baby. Perfect bathroom equipments. I one word : go for it!

We absolutely loved our room. It was so comfortable and clean, and was perfect for our stay. The breakfast was delicious too, and the host, Susan, was lovely, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I'd definitely recommend the Post House to anyone!

we stayed at the Bella’s Sweet and it was beautiful. The decor in the room and through out the Manor House with so cosy and fresh. Our room was very clean and came with plenty of refreshments and included a kettle and coffee machine. Our bed was a large size and extremely comfortable and came with 2 different types of pillows (one flat, one high) for preference. We arrived at the Manor House around 8pm to check in at the restaurant, which although it was very busy we was checked in straight away. Staff was a nice friendly young team. Me and my partner wish we had a meal but I recommend to book as the restaurant seemed fully booked on the Saturday night. I spoke to another couple who stayed for dinner and they said it was lovely food. Breakfast had a lovely variety, with vegan break options available. I had the avocado, bacon and poach egg on toast, whilst my partner went for the full english breakfast, we both cleared our plates! Overall, this was definitely one of the few best hotels/inns I’ve stayed at and would definitely stay here again if we are visiting the area.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here and couldn’t really fault anything! Room: The room was quiet and spacious and a good temperature. I liked that the radiator was digital so you could easily control the heating in the room. Cleaners came in each day and also replenished tea station. Bed: Large (I’d say king sized) comfy bed with a great duvet and plenty of pillows. Great addition of light switch and plug sockets next to the bed. Plug sockets also had usb slots so great for phone charging. Bathroom: Convenient en-suite with a walk in shower that was very useful to my partner who needs assistance getting around. I personally loved the light up mirror as it was a great help in the mornings for applying makeup. Tea making facilities: Great choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Complimentary shortbread each was a nice touch. Tv: Large wall mounted tv with access to Netflix and other streaming services. Food: The food was wonderful. All dishes made and presented to a high standard. Delivered in a timely manor. Good portion sizes. Staff: All staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, both during check-in and during our meal. Would definitely stay again!

I have stayed here a few times with work and every time I have found the staff very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and always immaculate and have good utilities (tea, proper coffee maker, lovely biscuits) along with a well stocked bathroom and proper hairdryer! They also provide multiple, well-sized, towels which is helpful Beds are all HUGE and super comfy! They don't offer room service but the restaurant area is lovely and the food is always good - I have never had a bad meal there. Breakfast is nice and the cooked breakfast is reasonably priced. Check out is always quick and simple - and always sent away with a smile.

Outstanding boutique hotel and restaurant. Efficient, friendly staff, great chefs with varied menu, superb bedrooms with large, comfortable beds, good bathroom with power shower. Everywhere clean and hygienic with obvious attention to detail. Brilliant, welcoming place to stay. Good breakfast, even open to non-residents. Happy to report that standards continue to be maintained despite the pandemic. Good value for a quality stay or visit.

Despite the location adjacent to a pub/restaurant it was very quiet. Proper functioning aircon. Bathtub in a spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed. Welcoming staff (reception cover was provided by the pub/restaurant staff because of my late arrival) - very helpful. Loads of parking.

What a beautiful building that smelt so clean as we entered. The room was spacious, clean and luxurious. The bed was super comfortable, the wardrobe a great size, great coffee machine and nice biscuits! The bathroom was luxurious with a powerful shower. I’ve paid more than twice the price for half as less. Car park included, which was perfect. Set in a gorgeous location.

Fast WiFi. The bathtub was amazing and the bed was perfect for me, comfortable desk to do work. Great, central location! Nice and friendly staff, efficient and clean. Easy check-in/check-out. There are so many restaurants and shops in walking distance to choose from in the area. The lodge has partnerships giving back to its community, and they promote sustainability. It's GOLD!

Clean and comfortable, great shower. Perfect location in a quieter part of the city. Loved that they participate in Hotels for trees where you can decline a cleaning of the room and the hotel donates to tree planting. There were so many choices for meals surrounding the hotel, some proving discounts to hotel guests. Real milk and a Nespresso coffee machine in the room meant we didn't need to go out for coffee if we didn't want to but there's a coffee shop directly across the street that supported a charity if you want more than a simple coffee. Car parking was easy and free, a luxury considering the city location. Thououghly enjoyed our short city break at St Martins Lodge.

Fantastic communication and customer service from the start to end. The staff were very helpful in confirming an early check in, and their email communication was prompt, which was appreciated. When we arrived, as it was quiet, the staff upgraded us to a deluxe room free of charge, and allowed us to keep our car in the car park whilst we went to have some breakfast and lunch. The room was stunning, clean, luxurious and very comfortable. We especially loved the little tea tray they set out, the claw foot bath tub, and the bed was so comfortable. Thank you! We would 100% recommend staying there and if we’re were to come back to Leicester in the future we will be staying here! 10/10

Loved this hotel, it was perfect for our one night stay! We had parking included behind the hotel, this was a bonus in the centre of the City. The lodge was very clean and quiet. Lovely coffee machine in the room, bed was super comfy. Bath and shower amazing. Lady in reception, on check in, over the road was lovely. There are no negatives. We had a lovely meal at the Knight and Garter, with 10% off as we stayed here. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

My husband and I booked the Gresham for a weekend in May. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again. What they do very well: Very warm welcome and the staff are smiley, friendly and very helpful. Lovely bar and restaurant with a good menu. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and were very happy with our meals. Really comfortable apartment equipped with everything we needed and wanted for our stay. Modern furnished room which, despite having only a roof window, was still bright. Breakfast options were cooked and/or continental. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Continental breakfast had a reasonable choice of fruit, cold meat, cheese, yogurt, pastries and bread which you toasted yourself. What they could do better: I'm really having to be VERY picky to find anything that needs improving! I couldn't find any instructions on how to work the heating/air conditioning in our room. Did get it to work, but more by trial and error rather than actually knowing what I was doing! Service at breakfast wasn't the quickest and we weren't sure how or where we ordered our cooked breakfast. (All it would take was for the person who ticks guests off on the breakfast list to say that someone would be along to the table shortly to take orders) Breakfast pastries were really small and ran out quickly and not replaced quickly. (I said I was being picky!) Thank you to the staff at the Gresham for making our stay so comfortable and for making us feel so welcome.

We travelled by train to Leicester for a Cathedral Wedding and walked to The Gresham in about 15 minutes (not rushing). We arrived about 90 minutes early. We were welcomed by our informative Receptionist who said our Room was ready. The Floor doors are opened by our key cards, I like that added security. Our room was spacious, very clean and also had a kitchenette which was fitted out with everything you needed if you wanted to cook yourself. AC was a godsend as it was going to be a hot weekend. The location is in the heart of the city and close to our Venues locations. The Bar is well stocked and very good prices and the Menu has something for everyone and amazing food ( I had the buttermilk chicken coated burger (scrummy) and again, amazing prices. Shereena and Sharon were working and were so pleasant, fun and helpful on our first day/night. On our checkout morning, we ordered breakfast which were great prices and very tasty. It was full of our party Wedding guests including Bride and Groom and Sharon was working serving the guests more or less on her own and SHE was a superstar to keep her cool in such pressure. We just loved our stay and will most definitely recommend The Gresham and hopefully return for a leisure experience.

arrived at the hotel and was greeted by the night shift team! , was very friendly and the hotel reception was very clean & tidy, we was booked into room 116 , and wow 🤩 absolutely stunning room , bed was very comfortable and had clean & fresh bedding I could not fault the hotel one bit 5* if you looking for somewhere to say this is the place to stay , the staff domique was super friendly and very helpful she definitely needs a payrise! She also recommend a car park over night was onto £12 for the night , hotel room was only £77 a right bargain in price for the room we got and the service , myself and my partner also went for breakfast in the morning as the food was absolutely delicious ThankYou chef for the tasty food! , & big thank you to all the staff who helped up with the recommendations, you all need need a payrise

The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean, well set out and very spaceous. The facilities were brilliant and the bed was very comfortable. There was a great selection of food available for breakfast and it was all very fresh and tasty. The food at the restaurant was all freshly cooked and delicious. Definitely value for money!

Absolutely everything was brilliant. The staff across the 3 days were so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Had breakfast and dinner twice. Both times were excellent and very accommodating for my mom who has issues with small portion sizes. The apartment was clean and very spacious for a budget apartment. The ed was super comfy. Visited for the darts and approx 15 min walk which was through a safe area. This was great as we were two women travelling alone. Hotel is located in the city centre but on a quiet street. Tesco 2 min walk also. St Martins Square nearby also for loads of food options

My favourite Leicester hotel, staff friendly and all areas exceptionally clean. Bar and lobby area is very modern but retains a cosy feel, a great space to do some work in at the of the day, the rooms are spacious with city views and plenty storage and amazing bathrooms. Parking is easy and nearby to the hotel, making the trip hassle free.

Staff at check-in and in restaurant were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Willing and eager to please and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are good size and are clean and comfortable with a comfy bed and good size bathroom. Excellent location for the centre of Leicester.

Quick friendly check in Clean, modern in a good location close to shops, bars and restaurants. The rainfall shower was amazing Excellent breakfast, nice selection of continental and the hot food was good quality

Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel was very clean, tidy and quiet in the bedroom areas. The room was well furnished, had good temperature control, good charging connections and a TV that could easily link to your technology. All room facilities were in good working order. The location is in a picturesque village opposite a small green. We stayed a Saturday and Sunday night and the pub was very busy and lively both nights. We had dinner one night which was very good. The continental breakfast was delicious, breads, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juice, crumpets and jams etc. We had a small hot English breakfast the second morning I couldn't finish it. The lady on breakfast service on the Sunday morning was lovely and welcoming. The room although a little small was cosy and clean,it just added to the feel of the place. The bathroom was modern clean and the shower was hot with proper water pressure. We would stay here again it was lovely.

An absolute little gem of a place. We booked it as it was close to Everyman Driving experience, and we only needed a one night stay. In the quiet little village of Thrussington, facing a quaint village Green. This is obviously the hub of the village where people love to meet and socialise. It’s easy to see why it’s so popular, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, hats off to Josh and Alex who went above and beyond. The food is amazing, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Our room was quiet and comfortable, had the best nights sleep in ages. Spotlessly clean with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Shampoo, soap and shower gel also provided. We travel a lot and this has been the best over night stay we’ve had this year. Looking forward to staying again on the future.

A very pleasant stay. Check was easy and all the staff helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, fridge was very useful for fresh milk for tea/coffee. Very nice to have a bath and a shower too. Parking available and wifi connection was reliable. Very good ales in the pub. Only minor quibble was over breakfast. On the booking site it stated free breakfast, but on arrival we were told this was only the continental option and cooked items were extra. Perhaps this be clear on the booking site?

This was extremely good. From start to finish the staff were super friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room, nice and quiet, lovely bathroom and great shower. Very quaint little pub with lovely food. We enjoyed a yummy Sunday roast…. Breakfast was very well cooked, although you do have to pay extra if you want more than a continental breakfast! Everywhere was spotlessly clean too. Definitely would return and highly recommend.

We stayed overnight from Saturday to Sunday on our trip to Leicester for our son’s birthday. We arrived 45 mins early travelling from London and hoped our room was ready for us to check in but it wasn’t, in fact we had to wait past 2pm and had to take a different room as ours still wasn’t ready. Apart from this we had an amazing stay and couldn’t fault it. This hotel and staff was like a breath of fresh air and certainly made our trip to Leicester more special. The staff were so attentive and. We asked for another towel and it arrived at our room 5 mins later. Breakfast the following morning was busy so had to wait for a table in the restaurant and sat at the bar but we were given drinks and able to get food while we waited. Francisco was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Getting us hot chocolate and pancakes. The breakfast itself was perfect and tasty. The rooms were modern and very clean with nice shower gels/creams in the bathroom. The carpark at the hotel is very pricey but an alternative is offered for a third of the price but is five minute walk. Overall a perfect stay and would definitely recommend and stay again if we visited Leicester again. Good location and close to town centre.

We’ve had a truly lovely stay at Holiday Inn Leicester during our move, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience—especially as a mum traveling with a toddler. The rooms were spacious, sparkling clean, and offered a gorgeous view of the city, which surprisingly kept my little one calm and delighted. Every time we returned, the room felt fresh and welcoming, thanks to the attentive housekeeping team. The breakfast spread is excellent—fresh, varied, and hearty. But what really stood out was the exceptional service at the restaurant. The staff were unfailingly courteous, warm, and genuinely made us feel at home. It’s rare to find a place that blends comfort, convenience, and kindness this seamlessly. Would highly recommend for anyone—especially families looking for a clean, calm base in Leicester.

Perfectly located. Very close to shops, shopping centre, food places and bars. The view from the room was absolutely stunning. Parking can be difficult but it’s not a massive deal. Would not recommend parking in the NCP multi storey car park right next door though. The bar in the hotel is expensive, but there is a Witherspoon within 3-5 minute walk away and other bars close too. The food was tasty and decently priced for most things. The breakfast which we got included was nice and the morning staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned inbetween the days we stayed. So we had fresh towels each day which was lovely. It is exactly as described and having a bad experience last weekend this was the most Perfect hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly, pleasant and helpful. They can't do enough for you, going out of their way to assist and ensure you have a great stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. They often have rooms fitted with a bath for an incredibly relaxing Epsom Salt soak for tired muscles (supply your own salts). The canteen, bar and lobby are well run, with delicious food to offer. The only thing missing is a tips jar on the end of the bar. Even housekeeping have a friendly smile and say hello. I love it here.

Rooms clean today and spacious for family of four. Staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fresh, hot and plentiful. Good variety of hot and cold food. Lots of hot bacon, eggs, sausage for a great full English Brunch. Bar and restaurant looks good and modern.

One night stay, nice warm room on arrival. Facilities adequate for our stay, good coffee machine, plenty of towels, bed comfortable, pillows a little hard for our liking. Didn’t seem to be a safe in the room. Reasonably quiet but could hear someone using the toilet in the room above! Thought breakfast choice limited - continental poor selection, cooked full English very good, but prefer toast severed separately and not buttered. Coffee at breakfast - awful! Need to invest in a coffee machine. The Asian lady from London on reception (sorry didn’t get her name) very friendly and helpful. Had a nice chat with her on our return later in the evening. Would stay again if in the area.

Location is very unique on middle of a park, beautiful place for lunch, dinner&/or a stay. Lovely bar & free parking on site. uber into city centre is £7-9. Breakfast choice is good& complimentary - we stayed in room 302 & it was very quiet. There was a draft from old wood window - bed & pillow comfy - nespresso machine, iron/board/hairdryer in room - shower was wonderful - big shampoo/gel in shower area. High ceiling - number of room lighting options. Restaurant has bar menu ( light bites) which is good. Free WIFI * lift only goes to first floor so you do have to go up stairs with your bags & there was no assistance with this when we arrived. Overall very nice

Stayed here for one night as I had a meeting in Leicester and have to say it really is lovely. The hotel is located in a park, and on a beautiful summer evening it was wonderful to take a run in such nice settings. The hotel its self really is lovely. Room was clean, spacious and had nice touches such as a coffee machine and bottled water. The food was delicious and breakfast fresh, tasty and cooked to order (Not bad as its included). There was a wedding on the evening I stayed so it was a little busy and a bit of guest noise later in the evening but certainly nothing to bad. I would defiantly stay again and think this is a gem of a place.

My stay at this charming boutique hotel was nothing short of exceptional! The hotel’s beautifully retained period features, from the intricate moldings to the vintage furnishings, created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rooms were a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The attention to detail in the decor was impeccable, with thoughtful touches like antique lamps and luxurious linens. Yet, the modern amenities—like the plush bedding and high-speed Wi-Fi—ensured a completely comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly attentive and personable, especially the front of house at check in and check out. I can’t recommend this gem enough for anyone looking for an unforgettable and unique experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Gorgeous place and rooms are lovely. Great night’s sleep and big bathroom with good quality toiletries. Receptionist on arrival was friendly and helpful. Couple of niggles- no shower cap or sewing kit in room( not that needed sewing kit but if they say included then should be); heating system was great the night of arrival but come the morning it was on cool and despite settings being the same as previous night with temp set to 23 degrees the room would not heat up. No staff at breakfast room when arrived so had to find. No bowls or plates on buffet table so had to ask. Friendly, helpful staff but service was slow.

Quiet location on the outskirts of town. Friendly owner who's very helpful and reachable by WhatsApp. Well equipped kitchen. Double oven and large cooker, washing machine, and microwave. Small fridge if you take into consideration that one of the guests packed it. Garden could use some maintenance and cigarette buds of former guests removed. I doubt the clothesline spinner is working. Some wooden chairs are broken. Large living and breakfast can be taken in the kitchen or dining room. Ground floor rooms, share the bathroom. It's spacious, and the water pressure is excellent. Breakfast is oké. All prepackaged buns and white and brown bread. Several cereals are available. Eggs and some fruits. Coffee and tea. Instant coffee and decaff available. The single room was spacious enough. Good bed. Several pillows to choose from. The upstairs has wooden flooring, so you hear the other guests walking around. Enough parking is available, and neighbours are watching who comes and goes, so it feels safe. Once a day, the bins and bathroom are cleaned. If ever, I would definitely choose this location again.

I had a lovely warm welcome and all communications had beed excellent. Breakfast was help yourself and there was a really wide choice available. Cereals,porridge, fruit juice tea and coffee, Toast, croissants, pain au chocolate, raisin whirls and madeleines. Yogurt and fresh fruit. I opted for poached eggnog wholemeal toast, fruit yogurt and coffee. Very clean, spacious, well equipped kitchen. My room was clean, nicely decorated, quit and warm with a very comfortable bed dressed with pretty well laundered, ironed bedding.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this property, and I can't recommend it enough. The location is fantastic, set in a peaceful area, yet still very convenient for exploring nearby attractions. The accommodation itself truly felt like a home away from home, with a cosy atmosphere and all the amenities you'd need. The fully equipped self-service kitchen was a real bonus, making it easy to prepare meals with the utensils we needed readily available. Free parking was a great added convenience, and the seamless check-in and check-out process made everything stress-free. Although I didn't get the chance to meet Kerry in person, she was always available by phone and was exceptionally responsive and helpful, clearly dedicated to ensuring guests have the best possible stay. Overall, it's a spotlessly clean and well-organised place, perfect for a quiet and comfortable getaway. Highly recommended!

Very clean, comfortable, modern, spacious and well equipped, with a friendly & relaxed home from home atmosphere. The shower was lovely, nice lounge area and separate dining room, as well as a dining area within the kitchen. Signage around the property is clear and the information folder (kept in the kitchen) details the property’s facilities, breakfast choices & instructions. The folder also contains helpful information about surrounding areas, like local transport, events, takeaways & shops. I’m sure I’ll stay again and highly recommend.

Great value, clean and comfortable, in a quiet location. Plenty of car parking spaces. Access to a huge well equipped kitchen, breakfast room and lounge. Plenty of options for a DIY breakfast (porridge, cereals, bread, croissants, brioche, fruit, tea, coffee and fruit juice). Kerry is a very welcoming and helpful hostess.

One night stay for work but what amazing service. Was going to be late checking in and close to kitchen closing so called ahead and ordered food for my arrival. This was no trouble and on arrival staff were expecting me, got me seated quickly and got my drinks and the food came out piping hot. Room was huge, lots of space, and immaculately clean. Bottled water and hot drinks were available in the room and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the room rate and everything on the menu was on offer as well as continental breakfast including cereals and pastries. A very short but enjoyable and comfortable stay. Every member of staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

The spacious room was comfortable, warm and quiet with a King Size bed, large TV and classic decoration. I appreciated the combination of a bath with shower over and loads of hot water. All the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make my stay perfect with special mention to Roxanne and Miriam on reception. Breakfast was delicious with Full English and lighter options available and the dinner menu was extensive with great dishes and a welcome pint of Guinness.

Stayed here for a night before my son had athletic trials so wanted somewhere quiet and chilled. Checking in was lightening fast and so nice to get a warm welcome and friendly smile after a long 5 hour drive from the reception. Rooms were clean with no maintenance issues ro tired decor, everything was spotless (grouting, tiles etc) and having decent pillows and a fluffy duvet made for a very relaxed evening. Room had everything (ironing board, iron, hairdryer, even a fan!) and a connected TV. We had dinner in the hotel which good, service was good, literally nothing to complain about at all. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold dishes made to order, or a breakfast buffet (pancakes, crumpets, toast, cereals, juices, yogurts) Couldn't fault anything about our stay whatsoever. Would definitely recommend. Can't recall a better 3* I've stayed in the UK if I'm honest.

We had a fabulous time at this hotel! We wanted to be near Bradgate Park so that we could go walking the following day so the location was perfect. Bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious & clean. Staff helpful & friendly. Dinner & breakfast superb. Would definitely stay here again 😃

I had breakfast at the Leicester Marriott and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. Sophie was absolutely fantastic - warm welcoming and genuinely passionate about what she does. She explained all the breakfast options clearly. I asked for a recommendation she confidently suggested the masala omelette, she wasn’t wrong. It was the best omelette I’ve had in my entire life and I’ve travelled all around the world. Nothing was too much trouble for Sophie - she went above and to make sure we had the perfect experience. The omelette was perfectly cooked, full of flavour and truly unforgettable. Jeavon was also incredibly helpful and attentive making sure we had everything we needed. While we were enjoying our breakfast, the hotel manager Ash came round to personally check in with guests, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly valued. Overall the breakfast, the service and the warm hospitality at the Leicester Marriott were superb. Sophie in particular made the morning exceptional. Thank you to Sophie, Jeavon, Ash, the chef and the whole team for making it such a memorable experience. I will definitely be back,

I was here for a recent conference and I think it's safe to say that the conference took over tge entire place so would always suggest checking out what's on ahead of booking. Having been here a couple of times, the standards are maintained. Breakfast is varied and fresh, all staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are incredibly spacious and it's incredibly clean. Only downside is the location if arriving via trains and you have to rely on public transport as its just off the motorway so public transport links aren't great!

Really enjoyed our 1 night family stay. We booked the family offer, 50% off for the second room (for kids under 16) and phoned to request connecting rooms, staff were really helpful over the phone making sure our rooms were reserved and also very friendly and helpful on check in. Rooms were spacious and clean, and the requested rollaway bed was also set up in one room. Kids enjoyed having a bath and we got takeaway delivered to the hotel as we were too tired to go back out for dinner. There was a wedding on and some noise in the corridor late evening but it wasn't a big issue. The room was quite warm even with the air con on, it was an internal facing which might be why. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the food. Parking for overnight guests was £4. Great value stay, would definitely return.

Just a weekend seeing friends. Hotel is great as usual. Rooms are quiet and beds are huge and mega comfortable. The executive lounge was fab as always and the people that work in the hotel are always super friendly and professional. I do miss the pool but there's a decent gym there. Breakfast in the restaurant at the weekend is an absolute must.Big shout out to the Lounge , room service and reception staff as they were exceptional.

Lovely stay. Conveniently placed, rooms huge quiet and comfortable with great service and friendly staff. The food both in room dining and at breakfast was lovely and very well priced. Hats off to the chef for a perfect poached egg on a breakfast buffet!

The rooms were spotless, with a modern, cozy design. The shower was incredible—spacious with perfect water pressure, ideal for relaxing after a long day. As a “Guest of the Day,” I enjoyed a free, well-stocked minibar, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was also excellent, offering a variety of fresh and tasty options. Overall, the hotel’s attention to detail, cleanliness, and service made for a perfect stay!

Everything was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Julie on reception and tha manager? of the restaurant at breakfast. We had a premier room and couldnt fault it. Very comfortable beds, stocked fridge, safe and even dressing gownswork b. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Lots of sockets in the right places. Goid soze work space and coffee table and chairs. Substantial cupboard and wardrobe space and the shower was amazing

There was an issue with our booking as I think hotel was overbooked but we eventually had 3 rooms (although we ended up with 1 double with sofa bed and 2 twin rooms rather than 2 doubles with sofa beds and 1 twin but we just wanted to check in by this point and there was an issue with the room cards but this was sorted.) The reception staff tried their best to sort things out. There was a wedding there which seems to be a regular thing, as there was a separate large room and a large notice about weddings at the hotel. We thought noise would be an issue but we didn't hear anything from the party or from people going to their rooms after. In fact the room was next to the restaurant but we didn't hear any noise at all. There was a little Starbucks machine and snacks available near the bar and the lady serving was lovely and friendly and went out of her way to help. Also saw her at breakfast. The staff in Bella Italia and in the bar were fantastic. They were cheerful and hardworking. They really couldn't do enough for us. There was a pool table in the bar area and we enjoyed that. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the most extensive I've ever seen in a hotel. Lots of different options. They were constantly topping it up and the staff were clearing tables and keeping everything clean. The rooms and public areas were very clean. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back.

We were met by Karan at reception to check in yesterday evening and told we had been chosen as VIP of the day! Upgraded to an executive suite with a free mini bar! Staff went above and beyond to help us during this stay, including finding us a screwdriver to fix a child’s toy! The staff and facilities are super dog friendly and family oriented. Staff in the restaurant were amazing, shout out to Kusum who served us last night. It was an absolutely bargain of a stay. Breakfast was a delicious buffet and we will definitely be back!

The Holiday Inn Wigston Leicester was in a perfect location for our needs. The hotel was clean and comfortable with excellent parking. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on both days we were staying there. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. A hotel to be recommended!

The staff were very friendly at check in and there was plenty of room in the free car park although you need to make sure you type in your car registration at the desk. One of the reasons I had rejected other hotels was due to having to pay for parking. The room was really big and the bed was massive and very comfy. There was plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk sachets which was great. One of my pet hates is when hotels are stingy with the coffee and milk in the room so this was a really nice surprise for what is essentially a budget hotel. I had taken my own coffee and coffee mate with me, fully expecting to need to use them! Shower gel, shampoo and soap were also provided as well as bags for sanitary waste. I really liked this attention to detail. There was plenty of hanging and storage space and the heating in the room was great. The shower was hot and powerful and the towels were clean and soft. The big tv and free wifi were perfect. Superb hotel for my 1 night stay.

My room was very clean and well equipped, my bed was very comfortable. I had neglected to ask for a disabled room, so it was initially booked for upstairs but the lovely lady on reception managed to move me to a downstairs room. She also helped me with the location of a socket for my CPAP machine and was able to lend me a phone charging cable for my mobile as I have to monitor my blood sugar at all timed and I had left my cable at home. The whole hotel was bright, airy and clean and well set out with vending machines for snacks etc. late at night. The lounge was comfortable and the breakfast room was clean and well laid out. The Breakfast was a full english buffet and had everything you could possibly want for a good nourishing meal with lots of choice and was well stocked. The staff were lovely and very helpful and professional. The large car park had disabled spaces right near the entrance and the hotel is located next to a Harvester restaurant for a very nice evening meal.

Room as ever comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Missing tissues in the room. Breakfast et choices very good and food served warm . Pity plates were not warm (health and safety?). Reception staff very friendly and efficient. Snacks machine very overpriced - more than £3 for a bag of crisps. Pity range of snacks at sensible prices couldn’t be sold at the bar. Lovely to have parking so easy and position of hotel very convenient. Didn’t see a notice to bus times in the hotel which would have been helpful e.g. a trip to Leicester. Good value for a Sunday night, but looks expensive mid week. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

The bedroom was well laid out. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Large tv opposite the bed was good. Plenty of tea and coffee on the desk. We had 2 lamps either side of the bed. Mine only worked on the spot lamp and my wife's only worked on the lamp. It was a nice touch to have air conditioning in the room and we made good use of it. The bathroom was well equipped. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't use the bar or restaurant as there were only two couples using it and it seemed too quiet for us. We went to the Harvester next door, but the meal was average. Plenty of free parking.

The hotel is next to the Loughborough uni, the location is easy to find and very quiet. The room was carpeted, clean and spacious, and was provided with large king size bed, along with other essential furnitures. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. There check in and out was hassle free. They have ample parking space in the hotel. The breakfast was a decent English breakfast in reasonable price.

Excellent value for money in my opinion, I took advantage of the spa, sauna, jacuzzi and pool, room was Immaculate and bathroom really nice. We came for a Cardano group meeting and everything was perfect, food, service and amenities for our small group presentation and meeting!

The staff were very friendly and helped us with anything we needed , I particularly liked their respect when travelling with a small child , my son loved the pool and jacuzzi -

bit thrown by the self check in screens, but a very friendly and helpful staff was there to assist us and help when our request hadn't filtered down to the front desk. She fixed it with out any issue and even walked us to the room. Which was just fine. The breakfast room is an amazing space, very well designed and decorated. The leisure manager was really proactive and helpful and the pool a really nice layout, with sauna and jacuzzi all working and also a lovely environment. Decorating spot on, staff spot on. Tech all works, Breakfast amazing. Would definitely return, especially for the deal price we paid.

Breakfast was good quality, plenty to choose from. The room was comfortable and clean. Considering how large the restaurant is, it had a nice relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was very good and and the staff were polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff, house keepers, reception, bar and restaurant were professional, polite, helpful and we received a great level of service for our length of the stay. We do a lot of traveling and stay in many 4star hotels and this certainly one of the best. We had a great weekend and It a pleasure to have stayed at the Burleigh Court.

Very clean, well maintained with very helpful, friendly staff. Well sized room. I had a very good night's sleep. My room was quiet and comfortable. I enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi.

Nicely presented pleasant bars restaurants. Spacious and comfy room with very good beds. Quite and restful. Not busy leisure swimming pool and Jacuzzi, good straming room and sauna with spa and beauty rooms. Opsions of all day breakfast and tea served all day at the spa. Very much enjoyed my stay.

We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The beds were very comfortable. We used the leisure facilities in the morning which open at 7. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were relaxing. I hope to go back and spend a couple of nights.

All of the staff that we came across were so friendly and welcoming. They were kind enough to fit us in for dinner on a busy Friday night. The food was amazing. The rooms are really modern, clean and have everything you want. Nice touches like a fridge with fresh milk instead of them little cartons, a nice coffee machine etc. The choice for breakfast is great, you submit the night before but it was all super fresh and delicious. This was a work trip but I would definitely return for a night away with friends.

What a fabulous place. We ended up in the bigger room at the back of the house away from the road and it was so big and roomy, with a lovely lounge and a terrace to spend time on. It was very comfortable with good pillows etc, and some lovely detail around the room. The breakfast was delicious and very much worth buying. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and I can honestly say, it was spectacular. One of the best meals I've ever eaten in a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was exceptional. We would go again in a heartbeat. There were some lovely little details in the room like brownies on arrival and fresh milk rather than those little UHT cartons, and a good coffee machine.

My wife and I are glad we found this gem of an establishment. From the moment we arrived, a friendly lady welcomed us in and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Forest room which was beautifully decorated. Lovely touches such as Mini fridge with water, Milk, and Nespresso machine. Breakfast was first class and delicious. Warm welcome in the morning in the restaurant by the friendly Danny, who served a generous portioned full English with fresh coffee. Highly recommend staying here and plan to return again in the future.

Stayed just the one night to see family but the proprietors/staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Even offered to carry our bags up to our room. The room was clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Great shower and very comfortable bed. We didn’t eat there in the evening as we were meeting family but the breakfast was outstanding. A very enjoyable stay.

The place itself is lovely, with a great car park. The room was beautiful; really nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were well stocked and the fridge came with milk instead of UHT (whoop!). The staff were all super friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing.
