Lovely luxury stay in a great location. POOL: the pool is massive and one of the most beautiful however is very cold, if you don’t enjoy cold water you will be disappointed. It is very refreshing and lovely if you are hot, but unable to stay in for a long time. Lots of day beds and beautiful view of the harbour. No pool bar but can take own cans of drinks in pool area. Also has bbqs. BREAKFAST - breakfast is beautiful, anyone who says it is average needs their head read: fresh fruit, huge assortment of pastries/cakes/banana bread/muffins/crumpets/raisin toast, chia puddings, hot assortment - eggs,bacon,mushrooms, hash browns, pancakes, French roast,Asian food etc, cereals and charcuterie. Also amazing service and a view of the harbour. Paying for barista coffee the only downside. ROOM - comfy large room, big shower, comfy bed. Balcony and tea/coffee/fridge/microwave. LOCATION - great location for exploring the island either on foot or via bus/car, IGA over the road, ferry terminal next door. Restaurants and beaches within 5-15 min walk. Great boardwalk close by. There is also a restaurant- boardwalk on site for those wishing to have dinner. Secure underground car parking. Beautifully maintained gardens / resort grounds. Staff are lovely. Recommend 3 nights to see the whole island well and truly relax.

Location right by car ferry port Size of apartment and amenities in it were great. Quality shampoo etc washing powder for washing machine Beach towels lovely decor and outside space with table. Evening meal in restaurant was incredibly tasty and well presented, and better value than restaurants on Hamilton Island but better tasting. Had a beautiful view over marina. Breakfast had amazing selection. Staff in restaurant both dinner and breakfast exceptional all friendly but professional but not stiff and lady on reception was also the same. Pool area beautifully maintained and good space, water temperature was just right. Thankyou for being such a lovely hotel - shame we couldn’t stay longer but you had no availability otherwise we definitely would. Just means we will have to return one day

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to a three bedroom apartment and given a nice bottle of sparkling on arrival as we were celebrating my 50th Birthday. The apartment was spacious, clean and very relaxing. The pool is one of the biggest I've ever seen at a resort and the view from our room of the pool and mariner was just stunning. The ferry and bus terminal was also just outside the resort. We had the buffet breakfast each morning as part of our package. There wasnt a huge selection, but there was always something for everyone and it was always lovely. Overall, we had an amazing stay and hope to be back soon!!

Location was great - restaurant and cafes within walking distance and close to ferry terminal and bus if you are not hiring a car. Room comfortable and bathroom spacious, though a bit dated. Great shower. Staff were very friendly and attentive and Boardwalk cafe served a delicious lunch and breakfast.

Main reception areas were clean and pretty. Room was clean (apart from inside the drawers/cupboard) the shower amazing, nice big bed was super comfortable. Lunch at restaurant delicious (all the meals). Staff very friendly. Carpet needs to be changed.

Rooms were so lovely, fresh and clean. Beautiful towels, linen and furnishings. Very comfortable and lovely. Breakfast was really great, fresh fruit, blueberry coulis, yoghurt, hot dishes, egg, bacon, tomato, baguettes, toast, coffee machine, cereal, cakes. So amazing and lovely sitting area. Staff super friendly, professional. Chef makes excellent dishes, simple but homecooked, top quality. Loved the salads, best salads ever. Pool was so beautiful and warm. Heaven. So well organised. Laundry facilities very good. Will definitely be back. After staying in many other places on the Strand this place was a great price for what you got. And so peaceful compared to constant cars and hoons in the Strand strip. This is the best kept secret in Townsville. Thankyou.

The bed was super large and so comfortable. The room itself is very spacious and has beautiful cabinetry. The shower has a rain head which feels so luxurious! The grounds are beautiful, and have many well grassed and maintained areas to sit and enjoy the quiet. The pool is well cared for and very clean. The restaurant has lovely seating areas - on the deck, by the pool or the airy enclosed area. Everything about our stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

For the budget price, this motel delivered a larger than normal size, very clean room containing little extras that meant a lot. For example, a chaise lounge so you don't sit on the bed all the time, microwave, coffee pod machine and bedside lamps. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable with good linens, large size rain shower head with plenty of water pressure. Location was excellent on a quiet street, close to the beach and easy access to shops. Breakfast was also included which was of good value and very friendly, helpful staff kept the restaurant running smoothly. The pool looked beautiful and inviting with lush tropical gardens surrounding it.

My room was fresh, clean, quiet and comfortable. Great tv, bed & pillows were so comfy, new fridge & microwave 👌pod coffee machine. Happy with two continental breakfast included😁 cleaners checked room every day, changed towels, bins, bathroom shampoo. Staff were happy & helpful ☺️ In all, had a lovely stay!

Fabulous resort with everything you could wish for. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast unexpected part of tariff and exceptionally good with extensive variety on offer - full hot breakfast with egg, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, hash browns - all hot and cooked to perfection. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and toast etc. Room large and well appointed with comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and all necessary appliances including fridge, microwave, tv and iron. Swimming pools (towels available for pool) and tropical landscaped and well maintained grounds with fairy lights at night as well as Bbq facilities, childrens play equipment etc.

Loved being on the ground floor. It had a nice small sized kitchenette the bathroom was on the larger size for a small motel and the shower was a double size too. Amazing view of the ocean and able to walk straight out into the little pool. Quiet end of the strand with a restaurant and bar from 5pm at the front there. It's next door to another cafe that serves breakfast and lunch only. And across the road and next to the family favourite swimming lagoon the yummy fish n chip place. I had a very comfortable stay.

Everything is great at this accommodation. You get what you pay for. It is cheap, the rooms are spacious and comfy. Yes, a little old, but suitable for the price. The beds, room and chairs are clean and comfortable, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the parking is ample. I visit Townsville to see my sons and grandkids, and being located directly across from the Rock pool, and having a great BBQ area out the back is perfect for us. Always a relaxed stay here.

The location right at the start of the Strand and our room had a balcony overlooking the beach. The bed was extremely comfortable! We also booked dinner at their restaurant the Shore House and it was just perfect sitting overlooking the beach.

Eateries were close. The room was clean but the shower curtain wasn't. Comfy bed and clean sheets. Love the microwave and toaster. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Everything was great. Perfect location, very clean, every amenity you could want and more. The complex has 4 great pools, two of which are shaded and lovely in the afternoons. The apartment has lovely decor and is nicer in real life than in the photos. It really feels like home. Also ticks the important boxes like super comfortable beds, great aircon and perfect shower pressure. Perfect place for couples or families. We would not hesitate to return and to recommend to others. You won't find better on Maggie and at this price point. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great central location to ferry terminal. Everything you could want in the unit! Pool noodles, Tupperware, plastic cups and plates for kids, beach towels and a beach bag, boardgames, coffee machine and more!!!! Great facility with access to pools, parking and gym.

Didn't plan on staying in Nelly Bay as we love Arcadia, however the water views more than made up for it. So lovely to wake up to the view or eat dinner with the water spanning in front of you. Apartment also had boardgames, puzzles, cards. Great little kitchen for eating in and just enjoying the views and outdoor balcony area.

Location and layout of apartment. The beds were the most comfortable that I have ever stayed in all my 30 years of travel. The apartment was very quiet. The pool was enjoyed heaps and loved the view while splashing around. Balcony was lovely. Sarah, the host, was very quick to respond to queries.

Comfortable and very conveniently located. Next to cars hire and there’s a parking spot included. Can see wallabies from the balcony :) Apartment is spacious for a family and very clean. Clear instructions for check-in.

We stayed in a suite and the room was perfect - spacious, clean, comfy, tastefully decorated. Large balcony with huge bath tub and relaxing couch and amazing ocean views. Overall a very relaxing overnight stay

The hotel opened in December 2023 and whilst most facilities and staff were excellent there were a few gaps in 5* service. We ate at the Japanese restaurant which was lovely. Not experts in Japanese cuisine the staff guided us through tasty dishes. We also ate at Marmor the roof level steak restaurant which was outstanding. Food and service excellent. Not all the restaurants being open every day was surprising, plus the early close. We have since learnt this typical Australian restaurants. Bed was so comfortable Definitely recommend the pool and preferred it to The Ville pool Also get an ocean facing view - perfect sunrise and sunset views

There's a lot to like about Ardo. We were in the Ardo Suite which was big and luxurious with a large balcony which had a big round bath and day bed. The decor is new, modern and stunning. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The heated infinity pool overlooking the ocean is very relaxing and for a bit more "fun" vibe, there's access to the Ville pool nextdoor. There's a tablet in the room used to request service (very helpful). I would find it hard to stay anywhere else now!

I can’t fault the room, arrived on one of the wettest day in Townsville. Maybe not for them but certainly for me. Room very nice, location excellent but due to rain views non existing. Bed comfortable. Quiet room, so that side is awesome. But it’s like it has tried to hard, nowhere to put suitcase. So on the ironing board it went. Cup’s supplied for the coffee/tea were too small for the coffee bags. No cutlery for takeaway food, the restaurant are only open in the evening, have to walk next door for breakfast or coffee. The little things that haven’t quite completed the hotel. Again I can’t complain about the room or the Service. Both of those were definitely five star.

The location and proximity to where we were going was perfect and the views from the balcony are simply amazing! Very spacious and comfortable apartment with everything you need. Very secure and clean parking area undercover. The staff were very friendly and helpful providing excellent information for an unexpected late check-in.

A great family friendly complex with helpful, friendly staff. Our apartment (number 45) was a very good size, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the water, Castlehill and the Strand as well as views of the mariner from the bedrooms. We enjoyed the use of the pool, spa and tennis courts, which were all well kept. The kids also enjoyed the free WiFi. Located in a great central location, within walking distance or a short car ride to most things. Off street secure parking was also supplied. Afterhours check in was very easy, with no issues. This apartment is great value for money.

Great location - on the Strand, one minute walk from the kid's action (the water park, playgrounds etc.) and only a few minutes from the main eateries, supermarket etc. Whilst it may not have been modern, the apartment was clean, roomy and very quiet! The apartment had two balconies - one with views north along the strand beach and the other south towards the harbour port. The Wifi was good, and the lifts, pool, bbq area, undercover secured parking and all room facilities, and surrounds were well looked after and functional. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all communication with the premises was efficient. We appreciated the early check-in that was arranged for us.

Stunning view, spacious and secure 3 bedroom apartment with direct lift access from undercover secure carpark. The beds were very comfortable. With two balconies providing ocean and beach views well located near the strand, restaurants and ferry terminal. Availability of e-scooters along the strand and close to the property made getting round in the heat easy. The pool was fantastic and staff were friendly and helpful at every interaction.

We found this Motel fantastic. From the welcome at reception, we were able to park outside our room under cover, the car parks were numbered so there was no mistaking where to park. The room was very clean, well set out with the comforts of home. The leather lounge chairs were so comfy and the bed was very relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast was brought to our room piping hot and at the exact time we asked for it to be delivered. There is also a great restaurant at this Morel. The Motel is in a very convenient location to all amenities and we were able to just drive down the road and straight back into the highway without having to rely on our Sat Nav in the car. Would thoroughly recommend this Motel to all types of travellers for short or long stays.

I arrived late however I was greeted by the reception who I am assuming is the owner and Geoff. Geoff’s greeting was warm friendly and he couldn’t have been more helpful. I was very tired after a long drive and to be met by a pleasant reception was amazing. My room was spotless, and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. The shower pressure was bliss. The bed was so comfy and had a great night sleep. the room was so quiet I didn’t hear the early workers getting ready to leave. I slept till 9.00am. I will definitely stay here on my way back and in the future. I was really impressed with this motel especially for the price.

So lovely and clean and very spacious.. We loved the massive king bed… never been at a motel in Townsville with a king bed before…. loved the huge shower head in the shower, so relaxing & just what we needed to unwind and the lounge with chaise just perfect to put our feet up after a long drive .. undercover parking was great too.. Customer service was friendly and very pleasant… One of the best motels we’ve stayed at in Townsville and we’ve stayed at a fair few.. 10/10 from us ..

We loved staying at cascade motel will definitely stay here next time in Townsville without a doubt. Our unit was really clean, very spacious with everything we needed. It was very central for us too. The swimming pool was very clean . Jeff and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was clean and comfortable and the AC and fans made the temp in the room very nice compared to what was outside (30*C+ and over 90% humidity when we where there. We were able to park very close the the room which was convenient and made life easy for us. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and all we needed to do was ask. One down point was that there wasn't enough cooking gear (pots and pans) for our needs but this was fixed with a cheerful set of pots from the local KMart which we left behind to help out the next person. The room price was reasonable and pretty good value all up. A bonus was that there was a Woolies and a Coles close by so all our supermarket needs were met very well. We'd stay again for sure.

The property is in a good location, close to shops and restaurants. My bed was comfortable. The shower was good. My room was clean. The room had nearly everything I needed. I didn’t hear much noise when I was in my room. There’s a restaurant downstairs, which opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

In most respects this hotel served my needs while I attended a conference. My room was attractive, very clean and well maintained. It was also quiet. The bed was especially comfortable. The shower had good pressure. The air conditioning worked well. There was, however, no safe. The room was also quite small. Service at the hotel restaurant was efficient although the food was no more than okay. Parking spaces were limited but overflow parking was available across the road. Staff members I met were pleasant and helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Palmer Collective. From the moment we checked in, everything felt smooth and welcoming. The location is spot on right in the heart of things, but still quiet enough to get a good rest. The room was clean, modern, and had that fresh feel that makes you instantly comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful, which just added to the overall experience. Would happily stay here again next time we're in Townsville. Five stars without a doubt!

I had a choice of 5 hotels to stay at and i chose the Palmer collective again as they provide a clean, friendly, newly renovated bathroom and amazing bed. The food in the restaurant is first class and fresh as you can get. Staff are amazing and receptive, thank you Rachel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfy beds, older motel rooms but very clean and modern decor . We had a Very pleasant stay. Needed to stay somewhere for my nephews wedding.staff helped our big family to fit in using 2 rooms close together. Also was very helpful with accomadation numerous extended family members. They've got a cute little pool. Its a perfect location. Beach just across the road, Cafe and restaurants walking distance.

The family room was spacious, so comfortable and well equipped. Great size fridge! Spacious and child friendly shower. Very central and walking distance to takeaway, beach, parks, waterpark and supermarket. Staff were friendly and helpful with all requests.

We were greeted by the bright, bubbly and organized women at reception who had us checked in quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and comfy and was well equipped with everything we needed to self cater. It was terrific to have access to a laundry room so I could catch up with our washing with both washing machine and dryers available. You can also use the drying racks that are in the wardrobe. Felt like being at home with the big flat screen TV in our room. The location of the motel was great as it's beachfront. Parking was on premises right in front of our unit. We were not aware of any traffic noise whilst inside. We didn't swim in the well maintained pool but it did look inviting. There is a Coles supermarket within easy walking distance and lots of choice for cafes etc surrounding the motel. So should you want a clean, comfortable, affordable stay at a terrific location on The Strand in Townsville with comfy bed, pillows, terrific staff we highly rate the Beach House Motel.

I’ve stayed at a few motels in my time, most of them average, a few truly awful - but Beach Side Motel is absolutely fantastic. Situated right on the Townsville esplanade, and absolutely beachfront, next to cafes and bars, this little hidden gem was definitely one of my favourites. The room was big, bright and airy and extremely clean, smelling of bleach the minute I walked in. Great facilities including an extremely comfy bed, fridge, cooking top, microwave, huge smart tv and anything else you could possibly need. The shower and bathroom were clean and well presented and the room offered free off street parking. I actually preferred this place to the so called ‘Wellness Spa’ that I stayed in the following week. If you need a stopover in Townsville, look no further.

The Beach House Motel is centrally located on The Strand and within east walking distance of great cafes and restaurants. Our room was excellent value for money and the room had a kitchenette so for our 4 night stay it was perfect. The room was nicely renovated, presented and comfortable. There was plenty of room for my sister and I. There is plenty of parking at the motel. The team at the motel were friendly and efficient. It’s a great place to stay.

We booked this through an app. Stayed one night on a grandparents/grandchildren brief trip. Booking: Easy, informative and straightforward. Check-in: Check-in was a great start to our stay. The front office staff were friendly, polite, professional and efficient. Could not ask for a better indication of an enjoyable stay. We were not dissapointed. Room: The room was a one bedroom apartment with a double bed in living room. The room was spotlessy clean and in excellent condition. The kitchen had a good sized fridge and all the amenities needed, plus more. Further the was quiet with regards to outside noise, etc. The bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was had. Car park: An undercover car park was available. Check-out: Check-out was straight forward with no delays. Hotel Staff: To both front office and housekeeping, thank you as you ensured our stay was an enjoyable and memorable one. Location: Whether in Townsville for business or leisure, this accommodation is a stones throw from the CBD and located in the middle of some great cafes and restaurants.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, with pubs, bars and restaurants within an easy walk. I’ll definitely be back! I also just wanted to thank Yasmin the receptionist as she very kindly replaced my bottle of red wine, and cleaned up after me - as I dropped my bottle entering the room - exceptional customer service!!!! I only stayed for one night in Room 271 at the Grand Hotel, Townsville, but it was an experience to remember. The room was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing the perfect retreat after a busy day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and even though it was just one night, I had one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a long time. Waking up refreshed, I couldn’t help but admire the stunning view of the city’s skyline from the window. The towering buildings made for an impressive sight, especially as the evening lights lit up the horizon. What really made the night special was the Douwe Egberts Cacao Fantasy Drinking Chocolate. Enjoying a cup before bed was the perfect indulgence—rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. It added a luxurious touch to my brief stay and made the night feel even cozier. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that I wish I could have stayed longer to explore more of what the hotel and Townsville have to offer. But for a short visit, the Grand Hotel exceeded my expectations. Room 271 is ideal for anyone looking for comfort and style in the heart of Townsville. I’d definitely love to return for a longer stay in the future.

Big open plan apartment with king size comfortable bed and bonus pillow menu so if the pillows supplied didn’t suit I could change them. Room was very clean and spacious and the balcony provided a view of the city and Castle Hill beyond. The staff were very welcoming and greeted me each day with a smile and quick chat to check everything was ok. The apartment was well equiped with everything you could need to cook meals. That said, there were many great restaurants within a few 100 metres of the apartments. My apartment was 462 and I’d definitely stay here again with only a short stroll across the Victoria Bridge into the city.

The location was perfect for our travel requirements as we were visiting family in South Townsville. While we did have access to a vehicle it was within walking distance. It is located at the quiet end of Palmer Street - away from the noise and business of this popular night time dining area but was only a short walk to dine at any number of restaurants. Breakfast and dinner options were available if required. The guest laundry, located on each floor was very clean with modern equipment. It was a very pleasant surprise not to have to load the machines with coins! Pool and gym areas were also clean and well equipped for a holiday stay.

An immaculate room and cleaning service. Rooms are well kept and include large tvs, comfortable beds. It was so well looked after I could be mistaken to say it was new! Reception team were friendly , well informed and offered great information. The attached restaurant was exception both for breakfast and dinner, amazing value for money relevant to the high quality of food. Very well presented, tasty and great serving size. an asset to the hotel. The facilities are well catered with Gym, Pool , full Laundry all onsite and of high quality.

It's a nice quiet location, within walking distance of the East Street Mall and Flinders Street East night-life area. Everything was perfect, I loved it.

Location is perfect for accessing other shops. Plenty on site parking. Secure rooms, block out curtains for a sleep in or early night. We had a King size bed, which was two bed pushed together. It was very comfortable, we slept well. Room was very clean throughout. Shower was fantastic. Large, easy access walk in shower which is great for older people. Water was hot and plenty of pressure. Towels supplied were large and fluffy, no face washer which was a little disappointing. Outside each room in a small table and two chairs which also provides a space to have a quiet drink, conversation in the afternoons. Large tv with access to movies, sports and news channels. Will stay again when in Townsville.

Had a quick family getaway overnight to watch the football. The host was very friendly and helpful Kids had a fun swim in the pool. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and the rate was very affordable.

The room had everything we required. It was very clean, the beds were extremely comfy & we loved the set up of the kitchenette & that there was a plug for the basin so we could rinse our dishes clean. Although it was very busy it was also very quiet & people respected others. Would definitely stay again.

It was a comfortable quiet stay for one night as we drove between Airlie beach to Cairns. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to the beachfront and some local restaurants and we arrived late so needed to eat.

Excellent location close enough to shops and restaurants but also quiet enough for a good night's rest. The unit was spacious and well equipped - we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, like a home away from home. Staff were just lovely, friendly and helpful, we were made to feel very welcome.

Absolutely perfect. We stayed 2 nights as we have family nearby. We’re so very grateful that our room was ready early (we’d travelled from London). Check in was easy, room was perfect. Really happy we chose to stay at the Spanish Lace. The owners Clive and Christine are friendly and make you feel welcome. We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean, tidy with good shower and comfy bed. Very quiet even though it's on a main road. Clive was super helpful and obliging with a tv issue we had. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

The motel was easily accessible, reasonably priced, quiet and ideal for our needs as a stopover point in a much longer journey. We found everything in good order, tidy and spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The fact that we were slightly outside the city centre was a mixed blessing: on the one hand, as I already mentioned, it was quiet, but on the other, the choice of restaurants etc. was limited in this location.

Every time I come to Townsville, I choose to stay here. I’ve booked many times, and the experience is always consistent. The rooms are quiet, I feel very safe, and the staff are always kind and helpful. The location is easy to find, very convenient for transport, and the parking is always hassle-free. Very tidy clean rooms. Nice firm bed. The owners are very friendly and helpful. My mother is special needs and they provided a shower chair and a walker so she didn't have to always use her wheelchair. We also had a pet friendly room. Would 100% recommend to all.

I recently stayed at The Ville Resort-Casino and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the room. It was exceptionally clean, with everything well-maintained and spotless from the moment I walked in. The bed was very comfortable, offering a great night’s sleep with high-quality linens and pillows. What stood out most was the modern design—sleek, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. The room had a contemporary feel with tasteful decor and modern furnishings. The bathroom was also well-appointed, with a spacious layout and quality amenities. Initially sent to the wrong room but the desk staff sorted it. The views are great of either the ocean or marina. We had an ocean view , also overlooked the pool. The place is actually quiet considering its also a casino and popular restaurants. The staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and can recommend this hotel for a couple or family stay. It's close to the strand and easy walking to lots of cafes , restaurants and the beach side walk.

The view on the ocean side is spectacular. The pool and facilities were also lovely. The room was comfortable and very clean. Excellent mini bar and cups/glasses etc. I also loved the bathroom amenities, very nice. We had cocktails and lunch in the main bar area downstairs, food and drinks were lovely, the cocktails here are next level. We also had dinner at Miss Songs, and did one of the banquets, highly recommend.

Great stay at the Ville. Booked the Ville for the World Triathlon event that was on in Townsville, and stayed in an executive room with Marina views. We were in the 19th floor with a fantastic view of the Marina and Castle Hill. There were 4 of us in the room and while it wasn’t a massive room, it was big enough. We had the breakfast buffet every day which was nice (though they only make omelettes on the weekend). We liked the different baked beans every day! What we really appreciated was that the Ville agreed to store a large bike box for us while we were travelling around Australia for a couple of weeks, we then stayed another night at the end of our trip to pick it up. This made a massive difference to us, not having to cart the bike round with us. Indeed, we may not have made the trip to Australia if this had not been agreed. We really enjoyed the pool and the view from the pool, and the life guard was very proactive in pointing out the change in depth. We also appreciated that children were expected to be ‘actively supervised’ and this was made clear from check in. The Splash bar was great for swim up cocktails and light meals. We also ate in the Quarterdeck a couple of times, which was a nice relaxed affair for family meals. All in all, a great stay, thank you all at the Ville!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at The Ville Resort Casino. Our room had a beautiful Marina view one night and ocean view from another room on our second stay. The hotel was clean and modern. We stayed in the deluxe rooms. Excellent service from the staff. We also really enjoyed the pool area, day spa and the buffet breakfast and dinner at Palm House in the hotel. Definitely will be re booking

Tropical Palms is in a perfect location to enjoy the beautiful Picnic Bay. It is walking distance from the beach, surf club, restaurants and the pub. The local bus stops outside which was handy as we arrived after dark. The staff were amazing, friendly and very attentive to our needs. During our stay we noted how hard working the staff were in keeping the grounds looking immaculate. The pool and BBQ area is peaceful and also very clean. The room was a little small but it was perfect for our 1 night stay. The shower was excellent! Highly recommend and we would stay again.

This was a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. It was easy to find and just a short walk from the esplanade that has a few restaurants, a pub, a cafe, a brewery and a gorgeous beach with a jetty to fish off (or just watch the world go by) and a swimming net. Picnic Bay is a quite spot on the island but the busses run frequently and on time to get you anywhere else on the island if you want to explore. The man on reception was so friendly with a no fuss check in and super informative about anything we needed to know. The accommodation is small but absolutely spotless. Paths and gardens were clean and maintained, the pool was sparkling, the outdoor bbq area super clean and spacious and the rooms were just perfect, actually better than the photos. They had everything we needed for our night stay, we would definitely stay again and hopefully for longer next time.

After a week of running around sightseeing here and there, I arrived on Magnetic Island hoping most of all for rest and relaxation, and Tropical Palms was absolutely perfect for that! Rob welcomed me warmly in spite of my failure to properly communicate a late arrival, and gave lots of tips on where to go for walks to spot wildlife. My room was comfortable and clean, and overall the place was really lovely, laid-back and peaceful. I was glad I'd picked the location by Picnic Bay, which is probably the most quiet part of the island. There's nevertheless a nice selection of restaurants nearby, and a nice beach, and koalas live right next doors! Loved it!

Jen and Rob run a lovely quiet place, that is very clean and comfortable and relaxing. They are both very helpful with information about the area and activities, and I would highly recommend their place if looking for low key, clean and comfortable place to stay.

Great hostess, Chris, was filling in for her vacationing sister. Very warm and welcoming. Gave us great advice on what to see and do during our limited time in Townsville. The motel was very clean, comfortable and in a safe, walkable neighborhood. It was quiet and provided free parking at our door. Our room was spacious and well-appointed and everything worked.

The manager Denise was friendly and helpful. We were in an upstairs unit, king size bed. Very quiet location. Room is modern and spotless, and smelt clean! Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and water. Car parking included. A great price too. Walking distance to a top fish and chip shop. Will stay here again.

A nice and comfortable king size bed in a family room with a set of bunks. A comfy bed makes for a great sleep. We had no road noise either so it was peaceful. It’s located Close to the strand which is nice, good fish n chips shop up the road. The shower head is amazing and great pressure but the shower had a bit of a leak n wets the floor. Behind the bathroom door was a bit dirty too, precious guests had shaved n there were some hairs along behind there. No biggy though. We also appreciated our beds being made up, nice n fresh after a big day out, Would totally stay again. Great motel rooms 👌

Our room was modern, clean and spacious. Located on a quiet residential street only a short drive or walk to supermarket/shops and the strand. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming.

The staff are lovely. The room was great and I felt alone although I was by myself. The bed is extremely comfortable. They give a lot of milk coffee and tea which i really like as I like coffee etc. It is a quiet place to stay and has great options for air con fan or fresh air. I like fresh air and the lovers at the back allow for fresh air flow. It is central and close to my appointments

It's all you need for a quick stay over on your trip. Staff are amazing and so welcoming. Has wifi. Beds. Hot showers with hair n body wash n hygiene kits, Kettle, toaster microwave, tea coffee sugar, extra linen and lovely warm minx blankets. Air conditioning is great. A lovely little swimming pool if you have time to cool off. Felt very safe... solo mum with 2 girls 12 & 11. Secure. Parking in front of our door. No scary people lol

Perfect stay for a few nights. Within walking distance to the facility where our event was. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We didn't get a chance to utilise the pool, but it looked very inviting. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

It had cream soap and shaving cream dispencers ,shower gell conditioner and shower shampoo dispencers, it had a kitchen sink ,nice pool , great balcony view of the hill from the motel,it was spacious and very clean and it had a kitchen counter sink , and very helpfull staff,good wifi and had a laundy room

The room was very spacious with lots of areas to put suitcases. There were basic kitchen facilities where you could prepare sandwiches or use the microwave. We had a smidgen of view to the south. There was a huge shared balcony where you could sit and enjoy the view of Castle Hill. It was very centrally located within the city but without the noise and traffic, in a very beautiful area of Townsville. The pool was substantial with a water feature. Plenty of parking. The management were amazing and were only to happy to accommodate our needs. And it was a fantastic price for our two night stay.

Really enjoyed our stay. Had a jacuzzi in the room, didn't expect that. Also has a dryer & washing machine which is essential. Beautiful views of Townsville City. We also had dinner next door at the Lonestar Ribs, door straight from Oaks Reception to the restaurant which is so convenient. Highly Recommend

We stayed at this property twice as a stopover. The first night we booked the city view room. It was very noisy from people, cars and also in front we had all the noisy Aircon units running day and night. Not a nice view either. The other 2 nights we stayed at river view apartment facing the other side The Apartment was amazing, huge room with kitchenette, huge bath with Spa bath and shower. Great sunsets at night, unfortunately still noisy because of the road. Some people might be ok but were we live it’s dead quiet so we are not really used to noise . Parking was easy and very secure. Access to the rooms via elevator from the car park Oaks Gateway Suits are very central located. Cafes, restaurants a few minutes, supermarket 10 min walking distance Staff was very friendly especially the mature lady at the reception ( Karen ? ) She was such a happy and friendly person … Nice Pool overlooking the River. Wifi worked well.

This is our second stay at Oaks Townsville and we enjoyed it immensely. On both occasions, the front desk staff have been extremely friendly and welcoming, and on both occasions we have received room upgrades which we really appreciated. Our one-bedroom was beautiful - freshly renovated and decorated and had a lovely big balcony. The infinite pool was so inviting after a day of hot weather, and has a great outlook on the river. The public areas of the building could do with a bit of sprucing up (eg fresh paint in the corridors), and I am unsure whether we were supposed to receive full housekeeping in our apartment as our bins were emptied but our bed wasn't made and our towels weren't changed, but the public areas and outdoor area were very clean and tidy. We also appreciate the on-site car parking and the location, which is so close to bars and restaurants, and the stadium.

Friendly reception staff. Smooth check-in and check-out. Massive balcony off our 2 bedroom apartment with a great view of the Cowboys stadium and lake. Room and public areas super clean Lap pool is great and well maintained. It has a lovely view and all day sunshine. Close to pubs and restaurants. 10 minute walk to supermarket. Beds were, ok. Not the most comfortable ive had. Only point Id make to hotel is that It would have made more sense to have the double bed in the room with an ensuite and TV... and the 2 singles for the kids in the other room. Overall we all really enjoyed staying here

From first entering hotel, clean and tidy, modern reception with very friendly, helpful and informative staff. Got the room I asked for plus more. Quiet 1 bedroom apartment room on high floor with open plan kitchen and living room, very spacious, comfortable bed and bedding, blockout curtains, everything in the room plus more for a short getaway or lengthy stay. Room with a view, city/riverside. Found pricing to be cheaper on booking platforms compared to hotel directly. Will definitely be back. Can't wait for my next visit to Townsville.

Having pondered over several accomodation establishments on the net, I settled on The City Oasis Inn from the reviews of previous patrons. And I wasn't disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff, a room that was freshly decorated, modern, spotlessly clean and quiet - with well insulated walls. Modern air con and not the noisy old type meant less noise too. Coupled with a super comfy bed and pillows made my stay in Townsville all the better. So much so, that I extended my stay by several days, predominantly because the room was so good, giving me more opportunity to explore Townsville. The location is an easy walk to both the CBD with its wealth of bars, shops and eateries, and the fabulous Strand for the lazy days by the beach.

Beautiful pool! Shower pressure is awesome. Kettle for tea and coffee provided. Personally would have liked a microwave as we had food to heat. Laundry facilities were good. Staff friendly. Yummy restaurant for breakkie and coffee.

Friendly, helpful staff, pool and surrounds shaded all day, easy walk to plenty of eateries and waterfront parkland. Must see is the Tropical Museum, full of interesting interactive displays/activities for both kids and adults, it's very impressive. Comfortable bed, large clean bathroom. Pool towels at office.

We stayed for only 1 night and it was a nice and comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Continental breakfast is ideal for a quick and healthy bite. Location is good. Nothing to complain about.

The Yongala Lodge was the perfect place to stay. It was great value for the clean, spacious room/suite and has a perfect location to the beach and downtown. It’s also very quiet and comfortable and is good for both solo travelers and groups. And the staff are SO helpful if you need anything.

Yongala Lodge was centrally located close to The Strand, Townsville city centre, ferry terminal and North Ward supermarket and stores as well as Gregory St cafes and restaurants. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped with cooking facilities and crockery/cutlery. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the pool was very clean and relaxing. Nicole (reception/accommodation manager) was so lovely and helpful - and went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one! Thank you Yongala Lodge and Nicole … our family had a lovely holiday in Townsville.
