Room was very clean and decorated very nice and modern. Bathroom was very spacious and clean. Loved the black makeup cloths that are provided as well as the bath products. Bed was super comfortable and lots of pillows to choose from. Nice fridge and coffee maker with pods available. All day coffee available in lobby was delicious. As good as any coffee shop. Pool was clean and heated. Complimentary continental breakfast was good. Standard hotel breakfast with a few different options. Not gourmet, but fine. Great location to all in Wells and Ogunquit. Not far from beaches, shops or restaurants. Nice location. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us a water view without us asking. All staff we interacted with was very friendly.

I had an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn Express! My third-floor room had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and Wells Beach, making for a perfect, relaxing getaway. The standard king room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed for comfort. The free breakfast was delicious, and I loved the hotel’s amenities, including a nice pool and gym, laundry facilities, and a 24-hour market for snacks and drinks. The free all-day coffee, tea, and hot cocoa were a great touch. Overall, this hotel had everything I needed for a short home away from home, and I would absolutely stay here again!

Holiday Inn Express Wells-Ogunquit-Kennebunk, an IHG hotel Wells Comfortable Hotel/Good value for money. 891813100 We stayed here on our road trip through Maine. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and loved our E English accents. The hotel was clean and comfortable and facilities excellent. The room was large and modern, bed perfect. Breakfast was good and parking safe and convenient. Would recommend to anyone.

Clean rooms and facilities. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful and very clean. Cleaning staff and breakfast staff are exceptional. Beds are comfortable. Nice, modern shower.

Reasonably priced for this area this time of year. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place ! We got the hotel on the balcony and right downstairs was the jacuzzi and pool. Clean! Amazing service with bartendering, housekeeping, and check in. Everyone is so friendly and sweet and is fantastic. We would love to stay here again ❤️

The Admiral's Inn exceeded our expectations after spending a weekend in Ogunquit. The room was large and clean. It was quiet and comfortable. The facilities were well maintained. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately because of the cool weather, we were not able to use the pool and jacuzzi. We will just have to return to the Ogunquit area and stay at the Admiral's Inn in order to use them!

We booked at the very last minute and got a ground floor room in the Compass Rose (for which only accommodates guests 16 and older). Our room was near the inn's registration area and so we were a bit nervous that it might be noisy. It was not! The room was clean, very quiet and the property location was an easy walk to the Marginal Way and local shops/restaurants. Free onsite parking was much appreciated too! A continental breakfast was enjoyed one morning and is located in a different building. Friendly service from all whom we interacted with. Two nights wasn't enough, as we really didn't get to appreciate the property's outdoor bar , nor pools/jacuzzi. We'll return someday, no doubt!

This was our 20th anniversary getaway and they exceeded what I expected. Great room, excellent service, full breakfast. Worth every thing we spent. Thank you to all your staff for a memorable stay! If you're able to splurge on one of their suites, go for it, ours was the wilderness lodge and was tucked into a corner away from the other rooms. Great jacuzzi, double shower, quiet corner, worth the price! We ordered a pizza and was perfect for a night snack without leaving the room! Love the history and vintage charm throughout the hotel.

Our stay at the Best Western White House Inn was wonderful. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! The location of this hotel was perfect! Right off of route 95, just a few minutes from downtown Bangor and about an hour to an hour and a half from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! We also really enjoyed Dysart's Restaurant located right next to the hotel at the truck stop, the food was delicious!

The hotel is cozy all the way from the lobby to the room. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of options. Loved the Keurig coffee machine in the room and the Rainforest Alliance certified Lipton tea. Hot shower and super comfortable bed. Ample parking. Very friendly staff.

It is obviously an older hotel building but the interior was clean and fresh, nice carpets and paint. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the area was kept clean and welcoming.

My husband and I stayed here when on a fall foliage trip. It’s an older hotel but what a hidden gem. The staff is wonderful, the room was nice with a very comfortable bed and the breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit and fruit cups, yogurt machine, 3 kinds of eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries and some days, baked beans. There is also home made loaves and pastries and much more. The people working at the breakfast work hard to keep everything stocked and fresh. We are Diamond members and I read reviews before we booked and I’m not sure how people could come up with much negative things to say. We would definitely return if ever back in that area again.

The hotel room was exactly what we needed and the service was excellent. The pool and jacuzzi could use a bit of maintenance though.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at the end of our Maine trip and it was a perfect and safe location to finish up with. Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly front desk staff and assigned a spacious and spotless room on the third floor overlooking Commercial Street and all of the sights. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities and was very quiet. The restaurant in the lobby was excellent for breakfast and the menu prices were very reasonable as well as a coffee and juice station that was complimentary with the breakfast items. There is also a bar and perhaps dinner options(?) There is a taxi station across the street but we opted to have the front desk call for us and the taxi responded within 10 minutes for the short drive to the airport that only cost around $20 plus tip. The location was fantastic as there were many restaurants within a short walk as well as a wine shop right next door should you have an interest. There is also valet parking if you are driving as street parking in the area looked rather tight. All in all a great visit!

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is perfectly located in Portland! Everything we wanted to see, eat, and explore was within easy walking distance. Maggie and David were especially wonderful, going above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations for restaurants, things to do, and local favorites that made our trip even more memorable. The space was spotless and well-maintained, with a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. It felt like a true home base for exploring the city. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and friendly place to stay in Portland!

Such a pleasant experience at this location and at a great price. Our room was clean and quiet. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice perk.

Nicely maintained facility and service with spacious room. We stayed with at two queen’s suite with a sofa bed. The room was spacious and everything was clean, well equipped and well maintained without overdoing it. There was a small sink and microwave which makes it very convenient to travel with kids. The pool was small but had a jacuzzi that was very useful open from 7am to 11pm. Breakfast was simple but had all the essentials and equipped with nice waffle makers. The food was cooked in small portions and refilled constantly making them fresh. Also the food was not overly greasy which was very nice. They offered breakfast packs to go at the reception to take out for those who leave early. It was a nice distance from both Ogunquit beach and Kennebunk and there was a CVS and a decent Italian restaurant right next to it.

We actually mistakenly booked this hotel. But where happy once we got there and had absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff where friendly and attentative. Each person we encountered from the front desk to the housekeeping to the maintence service all said good morning or greeted us warmly. The rooms were spacious and kept clean daily. The breakfast was plentiful and had nice options for anyone's diet choice. The coffee bar was fully stocked all day long. The pool and hottub area was perfectly clean and had plenty of towels to use for drying off. The flowers in the front recently planted at the beginning of the season were pretty and added a nice touch to the grounds. The parking was plentiful and we always found a spot to our liking.

I really was impressed by our room size and enjoy the view out the back of the water and the cliffs. The shower was really great with a slight incline and a nonslip surface. The room was spacious with a couch, desk area, and a King size bed. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast that was included was wonderful with lots of choices buffet style. The breakfast room was comfy with lots of individual and privacy areas to enjoy your breakfast. The breakfast bar came in handy as we sipped our tea and watched scenic places to visit in Maine. Upon check in I was asked which room choice I would like. Frankly, that has never been an option so I did ask for a spot to look at the water off the back furthest corner of the hotel. I really loved the room and was surprised when booking for the price why it didn’t have more stars in its rating. We didn’t come for the pool but if you have kids they would love that. The location was just off the highway and location was easy to jump back on if you were traveling more. We also had dinner at the Rio Bravo which was maybe about a half mile from hotel. Highly recommend this Mexican Restaurant too for dinner. Enjoy your stay here, I give it 5 stars and I am a hotel owner’s daughter, so I do know what to look for in quality, price, cleanliness, friendliness and hospitality. This place has it all. Visited November 2025.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The suite was clean, modern, and roomy, with a very spacious bathroom and living space. The bed was comfortable, and there were a lot of choices at breakfast - mostly standard stuff like breakfast meats, eggs prepared a couple different ways, bagel and bread options, fresh fruit, etc - but what set it apart from other hotels is how very fresh and tasty everything was, especially considering we never managed to wake up and get downstairs before 9:00am. The location itself is a bit far from the city but priced to reflect that fact, and was at least fairly close to the highway and within walking distance of an excellent grocery store and a handful of restaurants. We didn't wind up using the gym, pool, or laundry facilities, so I can't comment on those amenities, but I like that they were available to us. Lastly but perhaps most importantly, the hotel staff were very respectful, helpful, and friendly, with only one issue arising (detailed below) that was still handled with professionalism and courtesy by the front desk attendant even after it became clear that it would not be resolved to my liking.

The overall stay was very good, and felt safe. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. A very clean and well kept property with an updated mini gym. The bathroom shower is modern with amenities. Breakfast is a minimalist buffet style (with waffle machines) and coffee was meh. Plenty of parking spaces. Wifi problems will occur if you need to do business using a secured network computer with security software but the front desk is helpful.

Upgraded to suite which was spacious and enjoyable. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom too. Kids loved the pool which was nice and warm which is not always the case with indoor hotel pools. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options. Check in/out quick and easy. Hotel was clean, safe, quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Clean, quiet and modern hotel with easy access to shopping, sightseeing and restaurants. Also easy access to major highway (95). One of the best breakfasts we've ever found in a hotel, complete with excellent coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Prices have really gone up in Portland over the past few years, but this is still our "go-to" hotel for downtown Portland. Easy access to restaurants and shops down by the waterfront, but far enough away for much less road noise. There used to be vacant lots around the hotel, but they have all been developed with an AC Hotel next door and other buildings blocking some of the good views the hotel used to have. Thankfully Mackenzie at the front desk gave us a wonderful room $514 that still had a partial view of the water. She was spectacular! Room was very nice, clean, good mattress and decent shower (wish it had more shower pressure though). Good breakfast in the morning, although can be a mob scene on the weekends. Parking next door for $30 day, and garage is much more crowded with new building in the immediate area. We always enjoy Portland Lobster Company for lunch or dinner, and the live music they provide.

We had a great stay here, just for 1 night. Our room was very quiet despite the downtown location. It has modern and updated decor with a small kitchenette that has a separate table and desk. Bed was very comfortable. The view of the harbor was over some rooftops in front of the hotel, but could still see some boats going past. The breakfast had eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, and cereal options. I liked the toppings you could add to your eggs or oatmeal, to make it more individual. We could walk to local restaurants, bars, and a walking path. Overall great stay, except the $30 parking fee was a little steep.

We stayed at this hotel with a pre-cruise package and were quite delighted! The registration process was easy, and the gal who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful regarding the hotel and the area. Our room was very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent! Enjoyed the bar and convenient adjacent sitting area. Wish there was a restaurant, but guest services directed us to multiple delicious eateries within walking distance. Only inconvenience was that the hotel didn't have a shuttle service to/from airport.

The location was perfect to walk to Old Port and downtown Portland. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast each morning was excellent, well stocked and a great variety with very attentive staff. The hotel was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The suites are so roomy with a full kitchenette. We stayed 8 nights and fully enjoyed it. Definitely book this hotel again.

The room was very nice and spacious, we had a full kitchen and they had some chocolates in the room for us, there was a sofa and desk in a separate area from the bed, a big TV that swiveled so you could see it from the sofa or bed. The bathroom sink was separate from the shower and toilet, so that was convenient. The hot breakfast was really nice with good food and coffee, and the lobby was really nice with comfortable seating and a fireplace. It was walking distance to shops, restaurants and to the piers. Would definitely recommend.

We had the opportunity to stay in a suite with a water view. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the harbor it was perfect for watching the sunrise each morning. The front desk staff were outstanding and went out of their way to make our special occasion feel memorable. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and scenic stay in the Old Port!

The room was very clean and comfortable. All the people we met that worked there were very friendly, helpful, and asked if we needed anything. The breakfast buffet was extra but worth it. It’s located near lots of restaurants, bars, stores. Valet parking was extra but worth it.

This hotel is beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location for visiting all the tourist sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is convenient, well-priced, and delicious. The Valet staff are very accommodating with the hotel shuttle.

The room was clean and met our expectations, breakfast was mediocre, the waffles were hard and the coffee good, not amazing but good. The breakfast staff was amazing as was the rest of the hotel staff, very friendly and welcoming. The hotel pool is not a full size pool but maybe half the size of a full one.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very soft and the shower pressure was perfect. We enjoyed the location as we could walk anywhere within 5 to 10 minutes. We enjoyed a drink at the bar, and the bartender was a wealth of information on places to visit and things to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Portland and our stay at Hyatt Place.

Perfect in every way! We were greeted warmly and given a map as well as a printed list of restaurant recommendations by cuisine type with price ranges and addresses (she even pointed out some nearby favorites)! Such a nice touch! Truly felt welcomed here.Valet parking was quick and always had our car ready within minutes at various times of the day/night.When I requested some additional items, someone was at my door almost immediately! Super clean, everything seemed new. The room was big, beds/pillows comfortable - an end table with outlet, USB and lights on each side of both beds.Huge shower! Great view of the port from our room.An amazing location, just a short walk to the piers, tons of shops and restaurants. Absolutely recommend and will stay here any time I’m lucky enough to make it back to Portland!

Terrific stay. Every staff member I encountered was so friendly, welcoming and polite. They were amazing! I rarely find such friendly staff at hotels. The room was huge and comfortable and clean. The location was walkable to restaurants and shops.

Nice hotel. Parking garage is across street with discounted $30 a night parking. Free breakfast buffet and coffee selections. for those that care... the room thermostats only go down to 65 degrees. walkable to most of downtown portland and good restaurants and breweries. dont pay extra for a water view, as there is not much view, maybe if you are on the top floor, but the 4th floor had no view.

Although more on the edge of the central area, you can definitely walk to a lot of places including Standard Baking Co. Being here in November, it was off peak, quiet, and colder so we did drive most places but for that off peak room price, I didn't even mind paying for the daily valet parking, albeit on the high side. I originally chose this spot because it had a washer and dryer available which we needed since we were on a 10-day New England/Montreal trip. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, a good size that my friend was able to hang out all afternoon talking and beds were comfortable but it was the little touches that really impressed me. An air purifier was in the room, you can warm up the water in your shower without being drenched and the little nook for you to place your bath towels so it's within reach after you are done with your shower was very well thought out. Being able to request your car via a QR code from your room meant we didn't have to wait long for the car, if at all. Just note that we were there during non-peak so not sure if that is still the case during peak summer months. The pool was nothing fancy but a great way to get some exercise in the morning before heading out. Having the room as well as the pool heated was perfect for those November days.

Located steps away from the Old Port section of Portland, the hotel is close to many restaurants and breweries. Our room was spacious and bathroom was very clean. Loved the shower, and the air conditioner and heat functioned very well. We traveled with two children (10 & 5) and they really enjoyed the pool, which is located to the side of the elevators in the lobby. Pool was smallish, about 15’x25’, depth going from 3 feet to 5 feet at the far end. Water was pleasantly warm too which was great. Our 2nd floor room was just around the corner from the elevators and the fitness room, which we used too. It comes equipped with two Peleton bikes, three treadmills, three eliptical machines, barbells, and pulls. Area seemed safe, many shops and restaurants nearby and minutes away. I would recommend staying at this hotel. Also, parking is valet only at $35.

It was steps away from airport connected by a sky bridge -- convenient for morning flights when you're short on time. We woke up, enjoyed a lovely sunrise, packed up, checked out of hotel, grabbed a cup of hotel coffee, and walked a short distance to airport. Staff was friendly. Beds were clean, comfortable. Had dinner at restaurant, and food was decent. Kudos to the solitary female server who hustled and gave good service during dinner rush.

Location of course to the airport, but the whole atmosphere was great. The check-in was smooth and the young lady that checked me in was very courteous and helpful. Also, the fellow that was at the desk when I checked out was helpful as well. Being from south Georgia I wasn't used to the snow, so he had to put up with my silly questions about what happens with schedules and stuff. I was just very comfortable at this hotel. The restaurant had excellent food! Dinner and breakfast. The walkway from the airport to the hotel was definitely a plus. I stepped outside to touch real snow and once that Maine wind hit me I quickly retreated back inside. The room was comfortable and warm and I slept peacefully. I didn't even hear any planes!

The Bangor Aviator Hotel is the perfect place to stay to make an early morning flight. The hotel is modern, spacious. convenient, and an excellent value. Besides a great room, helpful staff, and a great restaurant, we could walk a short walk across the street to check in at the airport. A relaxing end to our road trip.

It is super convenient being just next tot the airport for late arrival flights and very early morning flights. And the beds are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and beds are pretty comfortable. Rooms are clean and have everything you need for a Comfortable hotel stay . I’ve stayed here twice and will be back in the future .

Easy, quick, quiet place to rest your head after a late flight arrival. Has a dining facility for breakfast or a continental option if the restaurant is closed for breakfast. Easy check-in and check-out, friendly staff. Very comfortable bed!

The Hampton Inn, Portland waterfront was a great choice for my friends and I overnight trip. The staff was fantastic. Everyone from the valets to the front desk was friendly, and helpful. We asked for and received two connecting rooms and even were able to check in a bit early. The room was a good size then we used the fridge. The bed was a little firm for me, but I know others prefer it that way. Shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel was provided in the bathroom, and it seemed a good quality. We walked from our hotel to many stores and there is a lot around that area. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. There was yogurt, breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, bagels, English muffins, omelettes, turkey, sausage, potatoes, and make your own waffles. You could make blueberry or plain waffles, and there was whipped cream and chocolate chips available. It was also a nice treat to have a coffee, tea, and hot cocoa station available at all hours. I would also like to add that the staff who was keeping this area clean and replenished did a great job and we’re very friendly. We would definitely stay here again when coming to Portland

Comfortable hotel in excellent downtown location - only a block from the ferries, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Room was spacious with comfortable beds and very clean. Nice view of the port. Decent breakfast buffet included in the price.

Coffee bar was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Lobby store very helpful. Staff was helpful and friendly. Had to call for maintenance for shower and they were very quick. Very convenient area outside to walk with my dog.

Top notch stay in Portland for one night. This was the perfect location, price, & size for our family. Excellent value. Exceptionally clean. My kids loved the heated indoor pool. I booked 2 double queen rooms for my family of 5. Upon arrival, I asked the desk clerk if it would be possible to make one of those double queens, a king room, if they had the availability. The clerk very graciously accommodated my request with a positive attitude & a welcoming spirit. Breakfast was the typical free hotel fare, but it was hot & there was plenty of it! There was plenty of variety. It was nice to have 2 options for breakfast meats & eggs. The potatoes were a nice touch you don't see often. The 24 hour coffee bar was FANTASTIC. They even had hot chocolate for the kids! We walked to Luke's Lobster for supper & had a great meal. Thanks for a great stay!

The view from room was horrible, but we did not stay in the room except to sleep, very comfortable room. Great service, great location and good breakfast. Hot water tasted like coffee, probably in container that was previously used for coffee and made it unusable. Some of us can’t tolerate the flavor of coffee. But the thought of a tea and coffee station was nice.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did miss having bottle water and house keeping, but I was only there 2 nights. Having an in-room coffee maker and fridge was nice. Bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of seating and work space. The pool areas was also good sized and well maintained. Location is perfect if you are going to an event at the center across the street, but not so good if you are looking to walk to the Old Port area in typical Portland weather as there is not much else to do at night close by. There were renovations going on, so the restaurant was closed (except for breakfast). The lounge was open though, and the food there was very good. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel with special amenities. Room was very clean and large. The bed was comfortable. Blackout blinds were appreciated. Daily household service. Bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Keurig machine and cups in the room but availability to fresh ground coffee on the ground floor was especially nice. Hotel was a little far to walk to the downtown and Old Port but price was much less than hotels in the thick of things so you have to make concessions. The only other negative was that the parking spaces in the garage were very small and difficult to get into. All in all, this was a great hotel and I would highly recommend it.

First the pluses: The indoor pool is large and just the right temperature. There is also a small fitness center as well as a sauna in the women’s room, and one in the men’s. The staff are mostly courteous, including the restaurant servers and shuttle driver. The room was spick and span clean. The lobby is well-lit and tastefully decorated. The restaurant/bar conveniently stays open until about 10 PM. The free shuttle van takes guests to local spots, and even picks them up and brings them back to the hotel. The little shop carries aspirin, candy, etc. Now the big minus: The overpriced breakfast has only sugary cold cereal, no hot cereal, not even instant oatmeal packets or other healthy options. There are two types of scrambled eggs, but no healthy alternative such as hard boiled eggs, and no breakfast meat. The coffee is terrible, exactly like what used to pass for coffee in the U.S. in the 1950s. The one bright spot about breakfast is the fresh fruit salad.

Portland is a fun city and easy to get around on by foot. The Holiday Inn : Portland-By The Bay is in a great location. It was easy to get to, and just a short walk to downtown and the historic area. The staff was welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable. I liked that in addition to a small desk and desk chair, there was also a comfortable chair to sit in. Our room had a Keurig coffee maker, and plenty of pods were supplied, however there were only 2 packs of coffee condiments. Fortunately I discovered there is a 24 hour coffee machine in the gift shop where you can get coffee, creamer and sugar. If you go when the shop is unstaffed, you use your room key to enter. There was a small fridge in the room, but no microwave. There was a microwave for use by the ice machine. I found the bed very comfortable, and there wasn't much street noise in the room. I was on the 6th fl. I was very pleased with this hotel and my stay.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable; nice pool area. Convenient little market for guests. HI provides a shuttle as available and our driver Alex was so accommodating to drive and pick up at a restaurant in the Old Port. Breakfast buffet was only fair but restaurant undergoing renovation.

The room smelled so good when we arrived. It was spotlessly clean! Staff were warm and welcoming. The pool/jacuzzi area were so well done! I would definitely recommend this place!

Located about two hours from Logan Boston airport. Good value for money. Pool and jacuzzi were good and an added bonus. Interconected room and a fab breaky. The lady who runs the breakfast single handed waa amazing. Fully recommend this hotel and the pub/restaurant oposite called copperfield tavern, we would deffo stay again

PROS: lovely property. Helpful, friendly staff. Great location between Camden(5 min)and Belfast(15 min) and 90 minutes from bar harbor and Acadia. Fabulous, delivered to your door breakfast such as frittata, the best blueberry muffin we’ve ever had and a pot of coffee, fruit. CONS: Expedia and/or the facility do not accurately describe the location of the cabin you’re renting. They list all cabins as waterfront or water view. In fact the property is on a cliff over the beach( which is completely filled with non walkable( at least for most people over 40) large rocks. There are 4 levels of cabins staggered closest to the cliff which all have a good view of the ocean. You can’t hear the waves well past level 2 but they charge the same price for all of these I believe. Then there is a level of cabins way up on a hill where you only see a Longview of the ocean. The property is steep so if you’re on the top level , walking to the beach even to sit on the cliff deck would be difficult for most seniors or those with any type of health or mobility issues. The price difference for all the cabins is small so it’s impossible to know which cabin is closest to the water. The cabins are small. We had a one bedroom which is actually a studio. The bed faces the front window and ocean. The bathrooms are in SERIOUS a need of updating. The sink drains very slowly, there’s mildew behind the toilet and a cheap tub has ingrained grime in the bottom. Mattress great. Microwave and tiny frig

They happened to have a room available last minute last year when we had a family medical emergency. Easy check in with super friendly and kind people. The room was super clean and had a nice deck to enjoy some needed quiet after all the chaos. I was surprised to be woken up to a super delicious breakfast with a thermos of hot ‘good’ coffee, orange juice, hot egg dish and muffin! Just yummy!!! No time to enjoy the fire pit (& s’mores) offering, or swimming pool, but an early morning walk to the shore below the cabins was enjoyable and refreshing. Brought the family back this year and they were equally impressed! We will be back

We enjoyed our stay, room was clean and staff was friendly. Appreciated attention to my lactose intolerance for breakfast… breakfast both days was delicious and did not need to worry there was milk in what was in the breakfast basket. That doesn’t always happen in a restaurant. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again

I loved the location, ability to walk to the rocky coastline. I enjoyed visiting with other guests at the campfire. The in-room coffee and breakfast was tasty and relaxing to enjoy in my room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A new favorite place on the coast of Maine.

It is a charming place, steeped in 1950s charm but very clean and totally renovated for comfort. I needed time away from it all and this was perfect. Staff super friendly and room impeccably clean. Breakfast baskets cute idea!

We just returned from a week long stay at this hotel and I really couldn't fault it. The location was really handy to everywhere just off the interstate and easy found. I had in my head from previous photos that it was out of the way and it really wasn't. The room was amazing and so clean,better than we had hoped for. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which had a separate kitchen and living area. The bed was super comfortable, the shower warm. The pool and jacuzzi were a welcome sight after days out and about and were never busy. Okay there were no cleaners in every day but you could ask the front desk for anything and they could get you whatever you needed. All in all I would love to stay here again, it was a really nice hotel and the staff were just lovely. Thanks Homewood suites for a great stay .

The hotel is in very good condition. Check in was easy and fast, the woman who checked me in was friendly. Room was in a quiet section of the hallway, which I appreciated. Room itself was very nice! Clean, comfortable, large and spacious. All of the amenities one would need. The pillows were a little flat, but that aside, I would definitely stay here again. Nice selection of food and snacks in the lobby and a coffee bar. I did not stay for breakfast so I can't speak to that. Very nice place!

We chose this hotel for location mostly,but we were so pleased with all aspects of the property! Easy check in. Clean and very spacious room(nice for longer stays) ceiling fan and a ton of various outlets for your electronics. Pool area very nice. Breakfast was a huge treat! Burrito bowls with lime crema?? So delicious ! Staff was friendly and helpful. Also having the brewery/restaurant across the parking lot huge bonus! definite return trip in the future!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were fantastic. There was a full kitchen in our room, a living room area, a separate bedroom, and bathroom with a sink outside of the toilet/shower area. The space works really well. The breakfast was the best! They had a breakfast burrito bar in addition to all the usual breakfast offerings. So good!

We come through Portland once a year, and this was our first time with our whole extended family in tow. The two bedroom suite was perfect for our 5 young adult kids and it was great that they had two full bathrooms. My husband and I had our own room right across the hall. Some of the kids arrived before us, and my flight was delayed. But Sally was very helpful in getting them checked in with me over the phone. The night manager (sorry I forgot her name) was also very nice to talk with. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of freshly cooked food. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Lobby and common areas were bright and welcoming. Plenty of parking. We do like staying more in the city, near the port, but if not possible, this will be the next choice on our future visits.

Unfortunately we had water problems in our home and had to stay in a hotel until it was resolved, 10 nights in a hotel with a small labradoodle.. We chose Hilton Garden for it's convenience but it turned into a wonderful stay for us and our dog Stella. The room was comfortable, the pool and hot tub perfect and the ease breakfast and dinner great but mostly it was the people. Everyone there made the 3 of us feel so at home that we missed home less. From Andrew and Teoh at the front desk to Robbie the cook to Neisha and Brooke who served us breakfast and dinner. I'd highly recommend the Hilton Garden for a lovely comfortable stay with wonderful folks...and BTW, although we were right next to the airport we never heard the plans.

So happy to stay close to the airport, shuttle on over in the morning and leave my car for way less than it would have cost in airport parking. Super convenient. The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. Had a nice dinner at the bar and the staff has been friendly, and knowledgeable. I don’t love traveling alone so will be my go to whenever I have to.

Our accommodations were most comfortable, clean and close to the airport. Those working there were friendly and made our stay special. The restaurant had a variety of meal choices and the breakfast buffet was delicious!

Our flight was cancelled until the following day so our stay was not planned. We were able to walk from the airport to the hotel, but a shuttle was offered. Staff and service were exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the inside pool and the restaurant food was good. The lobby was comfortable and inviting, offering free cucumber water and freshly made cookies in the afternoon and hot coffee in the morning.

My 1st time here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfy and the room was quiet. I had a very early flight, so a cup of coffee was a must! It was right there in the lobby, and delicious. The transport to the airport was timely and courteous.

The property was beautiful and immaculately kept up. Situated perfectly on thr bus route so we never had to pay for trabsportation into Bar Harbor and could leave the car at the hotel. Poolsidr bar service was spot on. Great pool and jacuzzi. Many more expensive places on the island with the same views and less immunities for so much more money. If you are okay with not drawing in town, then consider this your place. Such an amazing place!

Beautiful hotel with really friendly staff. There was quite a wait to check in, but the staff remained professional and got people through as quickly as possible. The island explorer (free bus service) has a stop at the hotel, so I never had to fight the Bar Harbor traffic. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a balcony with a view of the water and the pool area. I had a dinner and a breakfast in the hotel restaurant and both were great. There's also a bar and a lobster pound down near the pool area. For the price, I highly recommend this hotel.

We could not have asked for a better experience at this hotel! We received a warm welcome from Barbara on arrival, and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Our room and all public spaces have been newly renovated and were impeccably clean. There was even a “hydration station” with a bottle filler on our floor, near the elevator. Enjoyed drinks in the bar with John Boy, and the wood-fired pizza from the restaurant was delicious. The pool area was very neat and clean at all times during the day. The Acadia shuttle stops right in the parking lot, and it’s a relatively short ride to the transfer station in Bar Harbor, so fighting traffic/finding parking was never an issue, whether wandering Bar Harbor or heading to any location in the Park. We absolutely recommend this hotel!

Been raving about this hotel to family and friends since we left! Awe inspiring location with incredible views of the ocean and proximity to the most amazing national park! Absolutely loved the pool area that overlooked the ocean and had access to drinks and food! The updated decor of the rooms, hallways, and lobby gave the hotel a definite modern lift and fit the seaside ambience. Experienced an unforgettable sunrise on the adirondack chairs facing the ocean. Enjoyed a delicious seafood meal onsite by the water. Great shuttle service back and forth to Bar Harbor! So easy & convenient! Staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that we were in a good location for accessibility and a view! Looked at many options in the area - we made the perfect choice! No Doubt About It- Will Be Back!

The hotel room was clean and a comfortable size for 2 people. I liked the morning breakfast that was included with coffee and it was convenient to have a refrigerator to chill our drinks for the beach. It was very close to both the York beaches and the Kittery outlets. Bonus an indoor pool and fitness center. While I wasn't there long enough to use the pool, it still scores bonus points to be able to swim no matter what the weather.

Very clean and comfortable stay while visiting York! The breakfast was good and the room was clean and very friendly staff! As a dairy free person I always say there should be more options at breakfast for that, but that’s at no fault of the hotel! 🙂

The pool was very clean and a nice temperature. The lobby and breakfast areas are roomy, clean and modern. Very comfortable. The breakfast is adequate. It would be nice if they brought back the make-your-own pancake/waffle machine.

Clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good, lots of choices. We have stayed here a number of times and always enjoyed it. Very close to the beach and other entertainment, without the crazy high price. We'll keep coming back!

The Hampton Inn, Bar Harbor was excellent. The location was perfect - just a short walk to town and close to Acadia national park. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was amazing with fresh baked muffins and scones. I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's and this was by far the best breakfast selection and quality. The best part was the hotel staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive and committed to making sure we had a great stay and enjoyed our time in Bar Harbor. We will be back :)

It's really convenient to Acadia National Park (5 min) and all the shops & restaurants in Bar Harbor. The staff was super friendly and the property is very clean. The complimentary breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and they even made fresh cookies every afternoon!

Perfect location to Acadia park. The island shuttle picks you up and drops you off at the hotel which is super convenient when touring Acadia park. The hotel is modern and super clean. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. They cleaned the room everyday. And breakfast was great. They had plenty of choices and the wrapped pastries were delicious! One of the best Hampton inns we’ve stayed at.

This was an amazing stay! The view is awesome. The staff were so friendly...the front desk was very helpful. Coffee, tea, lemon water, fruit and muffins available at all hours. Such a great feature. The hot breakfast was great. Loved the hot tub each night after long days of hiking. Bar Habor and Acadia are beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton with kids. Everything from the clean room to the polite and helpful staff to the breakfast spread was excellent. The location is very convenient as it’s walking distance to the Main Street (downtown), there’s also easy access to the free buses from the hotel. It’s close to the Acadia visitor center. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool everyday during our 4 days stay. We had an incredible vacation that was relaxing and fun.. thanks to Hampton!

We had an outstanding stay here. Our room was spacious and clean, The beds were comfortable. Blinds covered the entire window well so the room was completely dark. The shower water pressure was strong and the towels were fluffy and high quality. Breakfast the next morning was a notch above the normal hotel breakfast fare. The eggs were delicious as were the fried potatoes and bacon. They also had muffins, whole bananas, apples, and oranges, as well as a large bowl of cut-up fruit. Best of all were the scones: blueberry and lemon poppy seed. The hotel was quiet and neither of us felt unsafe heading out solo to the cars in the late evening. I also want to note my room needs had changed after I made my initial reservation. I called the hotel directly, speaking to either Aubrey or Audrey. She was immensely helpful and my needed changes were made correctly. I’d happily stay here again when in the area.

This was my 8th time staying here and i'm gonna keep coming back! I love how clean it always is as well as how nice the staff are! The rooms are always clean and tidy as well as the rest of the hotel! The Free Breakfast is also Awesome! With yummy waffles and other things like fruit and the fresh oatmeal and the fresh hot items such as sausage, eggs, hash browns, omelets etc. There is always a worker cleaning up and restocking the breakfast as people eat! The pool is a really nice touch and it seems the issue with the heat in there from past stays was fixed! This hotel is ALWAYS accommodating to our needs extra towels and soaps , etc! They also have some REALLY AWESOME People working there! Lisa at the front desk was AMAZING and very nice! Great hotel and if there were such thing as 10 stars this hotel would have them!

The hotel and staff were great. The rooms was very clean and had some great amenities (king size bed, large TV, mini fridge and bar area, desk, and couch with tray table). My partner and I could both work comfortably and sleep comfortably. The only quirk was the light switch for the toilet and shower were opposite the door to the room so it took some getting used to the placement. The hotel unfortunately does NOT have a common hot tub, just a common pool, so if you filter on hot tub, be prepared to be disappointed. The hot tub is in (a) specific room(s). Otherwise everything was clean in the lobby and hallways and the breakfast options were great: multiple coffee/tea options, juices, fruit, pastries, hot bar, DIY waffles, yogurt, breads, etc.

Very clean room and very friendly staff. Room was spacious and comfortable and allowed easy access to letting our dog go outside. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. TV had nice channel selections too. Suite had small kitchenette that was nice.
