It is like 15-20 minute away from the beach, it’s an inconvenience if traveling with elderly or small children. There is not much around the hotel within walking distance and even to order food for delivery was difficult, I had to order from the restaurants that were approved by the hotel because nobody would deliver to that area. The hotel itself was very clean and complimentary breakfast was good. The pool was nice too; heated, but wish there was a Jacuzzi

this hotel is perfect for the business person going to Manzanillo, its the closest to the port, however as a tourist you are about 10 mins from restaurants and beach, the location been next to the port is somewhat dusty due to constant traffic, the hotel is clean, grest pool, good gym and excelent breakfast. Staff is friendly and beds are US quality comfort with large plasma TV and a desk, free wifi is standard. For Manzanillo and the value of the room this is definitely a great value.

Comfortable, despite many young families during Easter holiday, it was quiet at bed time. Bus stops close to front entrance. Ten minutes to downtown, five to ten minutes to Las Brisas beaches, restaurants, shopping malls on Blvd. Miguel de Madrid. Front desk Staff were very helpful, pleasant,fluent in English. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

If you're only looking for a great hotel, and don't care where it's located or what the view from your room is like, then look no further. The rooms are great and the staff is so friendly. If, like me, you wanted to enjoy the beauty of Manzanillo during your stay with a spectacular view, you will be disappointed. I feel bad even saying that because everything else was so perfect, but I literally teared up when I saw where it was located. Then again, for the price, it's not a far drive to the beautiful beaches and prettier part of town, and again, it's a very clean and comfy hotel.

Clean, good breakfast, comfy beds, and nice pool. Not beach front, about a 10 min drive to the beach.

Grounds were beautiful & lush, filled with tropical birds & iguanas. Meticulously maintained with grounds keepers & pool boys on site every day. Resort is located within a secure country club golf course & right next door to a walkable malecon with scenic views & photo-ops. You can go out of the resort doors & walk these areas in the day time, while still being behind the secure country club gate. This portion of coastline is very tourist friendly, with several living retired in condos. Resort was luxury built, with wonderful onsite amenities. Some of the building is starting to show its age, but staff is everywhere keeping things clean & polished, making for a wonderful & comfortable experience. Beds were the most comfortable vacation beds we’ve ever slept on. Pool area: you have a couple different bars, plus waiters walking around taking drink orders, so you never have to leave your chair if you don’t want to! Private beach area has a combo of swimmable sand area & rock marine gardens you could snorkel while tide is high. Staff is friendly & always ready to take care of you. Onsite restaurants are delicious, but the buffet also has wonderful flavor & options. Downside: pools were very cold & not fun to get in; ocean was warmer. Multiple pool levels, but felt small & hard to find a quiet spot. Premier room did not come with the advertised welcome wine tray tequila bottle. Tried to upgrade room a month out but told we couldn’t until arrival, when prices were much higher.

The buffet breakfast was great. Had many options in a very relaxed atmosphere. The lunch, again at the buffet restaurant, was also very good with many different options. However, unfortunately we were only there for one night - on a Monday when two of the a la carte restaurants were closed. The Japanese one was open but not our favourite food choice. So we had dinner at the buffet again however were disappointed - not much difference between lunch and dinner. It would have been nice to see items like a carvery for example. It wasn’t a bad dinner, but also not a great one. This is the only reason we have chosen to give nine stars - had it not been for our lack lustre dinner we would have found our experience perfect. Check in, staff, cleanliness, room, pools, beach, drinks, facilities are all highly recommended.

We visited at the end of October 2024. We visit the area often either in February or October / November because otherwise it gets super hot and humid. The property is very nice, clean, and well kept. Our room was nice and clean. There are people cleaning 24/7. One morning we woke up to have coffee during the sunrise and they were out there raking the beach. I was very impressed. Pools galore. Pretty much the outer perimeter is all pool or beach. However, none has a waterside bar. It would have been nice to have one or two to have better access to drinks. They do have waiters walking around bringing drinks but you find yourself waiting long periods of time. The breakfast buffet is very good. Dinner however was a bit lacking. The dinner buffet had odd non-Mexican food and nothing appetized me. Curry chicken? No thanks. One night the only fruit that was offered was papaya which I like, but was hard and not ripe at all. The snack bar was also lack luster. Hot dogs and hamburgers. We had stayed at other resorts where they had chicken wings, nachos, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, and many more choices. Need to pick up the pace here. My last gripe was dealing with towels. There is only 1 towel station at the end of the resort. So, needless to say if you went to the opposite side or even the middle, it was a trek to turn in or exchange towels. At least 2 more stations are needed. My gripes are small and would not detour me from visiting again. We did enjoy our stay.

Gorgeous hotel and impressive suites. Good furniture (amount, quality, arrangement, comfort). The deck had good chairs and table overlooking a waterfall pool for aesthetics and white noise, no swimmers. Beautiful foliage blocked our deck from view by other units. Perfect. Lots of swimming pools and lounge chairs, and a breakwater had been constructed to make some swimming sheltered from the pounding Pacific surf. The little beach bistro near the sandy beach did delicious made to order hamburgers if you didn't feel like giving up your lounge chairs to head up to the buffet for lunch. The kids and teenagers really enjoyed the self-serve soft ice cream machine. The buffets were generous and tasty. The live Barcelo musical performance was wonderful. To have seen the mariachi players and dancers we would've been happy to have driven into the city to catch a performance this good. It was a fabulous place for our 2 days.

The property was clean and the staff was amazing and very helpful. The bedroom was spacious bed was comfortable. House keeping was on top of making sure the room was clean and fridge was stocked. Would definitely recommend this place and would definitely be back for another stay. My new go to place.

Great location, comfy beds, AC was very good, and in general the hotel is kept clean. The view from the 4th floor was amazing. The pools were clean and warm all the time. Bathroom was large and very usable. Everyone in the staff was really friendly, and I liked the fact that security, and a lifeguard were present walking around the pool and beach areas at all times.

The room opened up onto the beach which was surrounded by a glass enclosure. The pounding waves and sunset views were gorgeous yet secure. The restaurant was outstanding. We ate outside in an open enclosure on the beach but had the option to be inside an air conditioned area. The food was excellent as well as universal.

We loved the pool and being able to hear the ocean, having the beach so close. Our rooms were clean and the service was excellent. Tbe staff are very helpful and friendly. We love staying at the Marbella.

Breakfast included fresh squeezed juices, like grapefruit, carrots, etc. Huevos A la Mexicana are excellent. We Sat looking over the ocean and the staff was attentive.

I stayed for two nights at this property in manzanillo and enjoyed my visit. Claudia at the front desk and the other employees were very friendly and helpful. Yes, I speak Spanish, so there was No Problem communicating with them. The hotel was clean and comfortable and offered a happy Hour in the late afternoon, as well as a buffet breakfast for the guests. Both items were very much appreciate and taken advantage of during my stay at City Express. The room was very clean, open and provided very good air conditioning,,,,which is much-needed in Manzanillo! The tv had a variety of channels to view and enjoy. The bathroom was clean and provided excellent towels. The hotel pool was clean and in excellent condition for an afternoon or evening swim. A very relaxing Oasis poolside. The check in and check were both easy and without problems. I would highly recommend staying at City express in yoru next visit to Manzanillo.! Graciss.

I rented three rooms for two weeks for my group, no complaints. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very freindly and attentive. The hotel has very good security and was quiet. The hotel has a good location, close to the beach and several good resturants. The free breakfast was a good buisness breakfast but was not your 5-star hotel breakfast buffet. No problems with the in room wifi. The only problem I had was a leaky air conditioner, but this was fixed quickly.

Comfortable, clean, basic room. No balcony. Tepid shower water. Decent breakfast and a self serve espresso machine available 24 hours. Wonderful! Close to restaurants, Sorianos, bus stop, and casinos. Very helpful, friendly staff. Individual safety deposit boxes available at front desk. Beach is about a 3 minute walk.

My guest, me & my wife were very surprise about how clean you hotel looks, but the pool needs attention. Your staff was very friendly and attentive, the complementary breakfast very good and coffee very good quality, and your rooms nice and very clean, from now on we will stay at City express on what ever town we visit in Mexico. Location is great, next to a Shopping Mall and other grocery/shopping stores. Restaurants for great and reasonably priced meals. Located on the main street and not far from the Central Bus Station/Terminal. Good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Did not like the small bedroom, nor shower. Uncomfortable bed, beddings and very worn towels. Maid mopped rooms with the same bucket of water and an ancient string mop.

We came here for a week as a group of 8 people (4 couples) from Oct 27 until Nov 2. The hotel was very clean and the staff were fantastic. The front desk staff were always very friendly and happy to interact with us. My wife and I have been to Mx over 20 times and had stayed at this hotel chain before but not in Manzanillo. We never had to wait in line for food and/or drinks or had any issues getting pool or beach chairs which was amazing. We only had two minor issues during our visit: #1 when we were having dinner at one of the ala cartes we had ordered some tequila and when we left we were given a bill for 1000 pesos for the drinks even though we had the all inclusive package. #2 one night when we were in the lobby bar they had no Smirnoff and we were told by the bar tender (not Juan Carlos as this was his night off) that he was not getting anymore. This particular bar tender only worked the single night in the lobby bar when were there and he was a bit rude and did not seem to want to serve us. There were 2 specific staff members who were absolutely incredible during our stay. Juan Carlos in the lobby bar was amazing and so was Blas in the breakfast buffet. These two gentleman were the best we have ever had at any all inclusive. Both are extremely friendly and were 1 step ahead trying to anticipate what we were going to ask for. Kudos to the hotel management for having such great people there.

The breakfast was amazing!! The room was nice (although a bit stuffy when we first walked in). The balcony was beautiful and the view from the balcony beautiful. Many amenities, great restaurants and a Gelato shop on premises. The swimming beach is fun. Next time I would stay longer. There are also many activities available.

This property is situated on a cliff side etching itself down to a beautiful beach. It has a great pool for relaxing in and the food was great. ( really good for all inclusive) the taco bar at the beach was our favourite. The rooms are very spacious, very clean with a great sitting deck and great city views over the water.

It’s a beautiful location with great ocean views and access to the beach. The property itself is outdated and in need of upgrades and repairs. I booked 2 rooms for my family and we were side by side. Unfortunately day two my dad had to be relocated due to having no lights and faulty wiring. The elevators were broken down the first 2 days as well. On one occasion, we were in the shower when the water suddenly shut down for a few minutes. So strange. The first 3 nights our TV would mysteriously switch on all by itself while we were sleeping! Access to the rooms is limited due to all the stairs but luckily there’s transportation on the premises. Dinner options are difficult due to needing reservations at 2 of the 3 dining locations. The food at the buffet was an 8/10. Overall it was a nice trip, staff were friendly, but they need a serious update throughout.

Overall beautiful views, great value for the price, and a nice getaway for couples or families. Make sure you ask for extra caffeinated coffee pods for your coffee machine, they only give one caffeinated and one decaf per day. The buildings can be a little dated inside but they are clean and spacious.

Costa Brava is a delightful hotel. It's open and airy, the feel here is very tropical. There are two swimming pools in the central courtyard, the pools are surrounded by lush palm trees and offer a great sense of privacy. We especially enjoyed the pools in the evening, a great way to relax after a day at the beach. Although Costa Brava isn't on the beach it's really close. Miramar Beach is close by, you can hop on a bus for very few pesos and be at the beach in minutes. L'Audienca beach is close by too. L'Audienca offers kayaking and all kinds of water sports. It's a beautiful location. The Staff at Costa Brava was friendly and helpful, they had a great deal of patience with the English speaking crowd! They helped us to find our way around this delightful Mexican town. We had an apartment with a kitchen which was great fun for cooking. There's a Walmart really close by so it was a breeze to shop for dinner. The restaurant in Costa Brava was delightful, they serve a huge breakfast buffet reasonably priced. Lunch and dinner were very good. Drinks were generous and the prices were great! Thursday night they had Tapas and live music, it was great! This is a very reasonably priced clean and safe hotel in a great location.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. There is no elevator and lots of stairs. The room was comfortable but could use updating. There is a bar/restaurant right next door that plays live music till 5am Friday-Saturday. So if u have children or need ur sleep, u may consider a room farthest from restaurant building. The location was ideal. Very close to la Audencia beach, Restaurants, nightclubs and casinos on the same street. The restaurant in the hotel was comfortable and the service was superb. The buffet offered variety of foods. The ac in room worked great.

When alot of hotels may be full this one can usually get you in due to it not being right on the beach but it is on the main drag. the room I had was like second or third floor quite at night in the day i'm out and about buses go right by the front to go anywhere you want cheap. Also if you are going to stay mutiple days they will make deals, it is always better to go when it is not a national holiday. I was there once on x-mas and new years and it was like world war three at midnight but fun to watch from the roof. The people were nice to me and there is parking under the hotel but is limited. Manzanillo seems very safe to me and i've been there many times. If you want views and beach front las hades is nice but a pain to drive up and down the mountain and of course more money, also the area called las brisas is nice and there are many to chose from there. You get what you pay for, if you are going to spend some time in Manzanillo this is a good place to work out of while you are looking for the perfect place to stay for a few months or to explore for your first time north and south of there .

We enjoyed our 6 nights at Costa Brava Hotel. It was very nice and quiet, which is what we were looking for. We loved how close it was to La Playa Audiencia and La Playa Miramar. It also had a nice restaurant and was within close walking or driving distance of other restaurants and malls. We enjoyed the nice garden and pool area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very basic, but adequate.

Just a stopover on a road trip. Quiet room overlooking the pool. King size bed. We slept well. Underground parking. Convenient location. The breakfast in the restaurant surpassed our expectations. Eggsbenny were fantastic. Good for a one or two night stay.

Great value for being steps away from beach, and walking distance to downtown waterfront area. Choice of 3-4 fun beach "shack" restaurants within 500 m of hotel. Industrial area location is a bit intimidating at first, but people are friendly, and I felt safe, despite not seeing another gringo in area for 3 night stay. This beach is popular w/local families, which is great to see. Place is pet-friendly, and our dogs loved it! There is a lighthouse point on the malecon, which gives you a close-up view of gargantuan container ships coming into port.

This hotel is not a big resort, if you re looking for a resort type place to vacation this is not for you! The staff is great, they go out of their way to please you. Janet in their front desk is wonderful! She is a great asset to this hotel, she had a smile on her face, but most importantly she had answers for all my questions. The room is very clean, the AC worked great. WiFi worked perfectly on the public/common areas, not in the rooms. They are working on improving the WiFi signal. They served a basic continental breakfast - juice, coffee, toast. They do offered other choices and you pay additional. They also serve lunch for about 3 hours everyday - fish, ceviche, etc; There is a small supermarket (Kiosko) right outside of the hotel, very convenient! The beach is great for kids, there are no big waves. We loved it!

This hotel is not in the hotel zone, however the beach was great for kids. There are hardly any waves and the beach was not crowed even though we went in high season. The room is clean and spacious. The front desk personnel is exceptional, they go out of their way to help you. Janet is a really nice asset to this hotel property, she always has a smile on her face! She is great! AC worked, WiFi worked great in public areas, did not really work in the rooms. This was the only issue we encounter. The price is great. This is not a resort, not a big hotel, very clean and I can't thank the staff for doing an awesome job!

Good Mexican style hotel. Right at a public beach so not the cleanest beach area. But the room was clean and comfortable. They were able to accommodate my handicapped mother and our dog so we appreciated that, greatly. Ample parking and right next to a convenient store. About a 20 min drive to more tourist friendly areas but for the money it was a great place for us. But then again we have lived in Mexico for a number of years.

have stayed in the Manzanillo area for our 1 week holiday since 2008...this was truly the best of our stays. clean, polite, staff and the general manager speaks english and is available to assist guests. comfortable lounges around pool area, comfortable and clean beds and if you get a view of the ocean it's a bonus. Showers are high tech, TV's are new with some english channels, A/C and WiFi in each room and is free. hope to stay on our return next year, would return at the drop of a hat.

The area was nice. The staff was excellent and the restaurant food was great. Beautiful view of the ocean and swimming pools around to relax by. Very clean.

The pool chlorine levels where to high. It was even dangerous. My daughter and the children that use the pool all them got a strong eye reaction. Reporting pain, difficulties to see. Color distortion and extreme pain. We were so concern. Please check the coloring levels that are not a risk for your gust. Thanks

Clean, A/C works, hot shower. The hotel is in an industrial-ish area however there is frequent inexpensive bus transportation to more touristy areas. Staff are friendly but (like most of Manzanillo) they speak very little English.

The room was clean. The staff helpful. The kitchen could be cleaner and better stocked. It would be nice to have real coffee cups and glasses. Non plastic plates and cutlery. Overall not bad.

We went here for a family vacation and it was amazing, the staff are really nice and the parks are even cooler. The beach is only across the street so it makes it easy to enjoy it. One of the staff Edwardo had been great by being really friendly and helpful.

the food was pretty good, good service and everything pretty clean, pretty good quality and so many activities to do stuff was nice and respectful. the rooms were also nice, comfortable and clean great to come with your family and friends, definitely recommend

I just used the room for sleep,nothing else

If on one of your trips ends up in Manzanillo and you are looking for an average price, a good beach front, and a good restaurante, hotel Marbella is where you want to be. We travel a lot in Mexico, especially around the pacific coast, and we really enjoy our stay at hotel Marbella. The price is fair for what we got. The rooms are average, but from most of them you can see the ocean. Personally I like their shower space. From the pool area, The views are beautiful at sunset and at night because you are able to see all lights around the bay because it has a cover open area and a beach uncover area. Although, if you are like us that like to get in the ocean, and do not want to take the time to go to a different beach for swimming, this is not the place for you. The waves are high and it looks like they may be under currents that makes this part of the beach dangerous to swim, so we drove 10 minutes north to Santiago beech to enjoy the ocean. Now, if you are only looking for the sea view with a nice pool area, this will be right for you. In addition the food at the restaurant is grate and tasty. For breakfast they offer buffet or a la cart items. Chilaquiles and the scramble eggs where my favorite. The menu for dinner is Spanish and you can get from a good tortilla española to a grate paella.

We spent 4 days here. Our room balcony was quite large and faced the ocean. At times you could feel the crash of the waves vibrate in the room. I spent most of my evenings out there. The surf crashing in was amazing. Down the road are a couple of good restaurants and a shopping mall. About 20-30 minutes further down (walking) there is more restaurants and another mall as well as WalMart. The rooms were very clean and looked well maintained. There is a restaurant and a dining room both equally good. We dined in the evening in the dining room and the food was excellent. Service was the best. Everyone was so friendly.

Friendly, helpful reception staff. Nice, comfy beachfront room with balcony. Would have liked a coffee maker and fridg. Hot shower. Enjoyed our evenings watching pelicans dive bombing for food--quite a show! Beautiful sunsets. Huge gorgeous full moon while we were there. Dangerous undertow but big pounding waves to lull you to sleep. On site restaurant. 2 pools with tables & chairs and recliners. Cleaning staff did wonderful job.

I was back again at the Hotel Marbella and it's still wonderful! The ocean lulled me to sleep each evening outside my balcony, the sun came up over the town of Manzanillo, incredible sunrises and sunsets! Swaying palm trees, who can ask for anything more? This is the most idyllic place to spend some winter days! The Staff continues to be so very caring, everyone from the Front Desk to the waiters, waitresses and room maids were so very kind. The kindness of the Staff makes this hotel different from the others. The Front Desk clerk at check in spoke perfect English as did many of the hotel staff. The hotel is on the beach, in an incredibly beautiful location. They have two restaurants, Las Redes and El Marinero. The cuisine in El Marinero is Spanish, they serve wonderful jamon serrano as well as paella, and the cheeses! Wow! El Marinero is a patio overlooking the Pacific, it's beautiful! Las Redes served a buffet breakfast that was incredible! The price is right and can't be beat. Perhaps the thing I like best about this hotel is it is family owned, the owner and her daughter care for every detail in this hotel, they greet their guests and they enjoy a wonderful camaraderie with their employees as well as their guests. Hotel Marbella is a step above corporate hotels, it's a look into the very heart of Mexico. It's a great

late checkout was allowed-very considerate given my situation. i had to wait til my brother arrived the following day and is flight ended up being 2 hrs late. staff insisted to carry heavy bag to my room. showed me what every light switch in my room was for. the view from my room, even the view lying on my mattress was incredible-ocean view!! i am sure i had the best view and the quietest spot as i travelled from taiwan so i was very tired. the restaurant did not attract me. it didnt seem to have healthy choices so the owner directed me to 2 other places that were superb-julios and el colima the restaurant
