The property was in a good location. It was quiet at night and the room was clean. The AC worked well, which kept my family comfortable. The beds were comfortable and clean. The free breakfast was fine. The pool and jacuzzi, my kids enjoyed. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond.

the pool and jacuzzi were really nice. check in and out was easy. the complimentary breakfast was delicious. it was close to LEGOLAND. every staff member that I encountered was 10 stars! The man who checked us in , Chris maybe, went above and beyond for my son and accommodated our request to put balloons in our room before arrival! He also arranged for a special treat at breakfast as well. The staff worked diligently to make sure all the food was stocked during breakfast and you never felt like you were just getting what was left, it all stayed fresh and hot.

The staff was so friendly! I stay in hotels at least once a month and this was one of the best breakfast; tasty food choices. All of the food was fresh and there were plenty of options and condiments. The hotel was so neat and well kept. For the first time, I used most of the amenities from the pool and Jacuzzi to the fitness center. I was pleased!

The breakfast was really really great. The outdoor pool and Jacuzzi was very nice. I did not feel being close to the airport in the night. During the day time it was some noise coming from the airport but it was not disturbing at all. The room looked like newly refurbished. The staff is very kind. I truly recommend this location.

I was very thankful that they were able to accommodate our requests for ground floor at the end so my autistic son was less likely to cause disruptions to other guests between melt-downs and 5year old energy.

We stayed here for three nights in early-mid December. Our room was very clean and quiet. We stayed on the first floor in one of the mobility accessible rooms due to recent knee surgery. The beds and pillows were super comfy. The location is fine if you like it quiet and peaceful. We were not very near the beach, but not too far either. Short drive to the beach, Legoland, and The Premium Outlet Mall. We were most impressed with the pool and hot tub, and with the employees. I’ve never been to a place where you could swim or soak in outdoor pool in mid-December! But we did and it felt amazing! The pool area is beautifully landscaped and very clean. Since it was near Christmas, they had a gift wrapping station, where you could wrap your own gifts for free. The employees there were all helpful and polite. Hope we get to stay again. At the same time of year, so peaceful!

Easy check in! The room was clean and very spacious. Full fridge, kitchen with a stove, microwave, dish washer, comes with utensils, pots, pans, etc. Office desk, decent sized couch, king bed. Standing shower. Provided DOVE brand body lotion, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The floor felt clean. The entire room felt clean. Good “hot” breakfast. Wasn’t the exact same the two nights we stayed, so it does change. The pool was spacious and they had beach balls and a baby toy floatie. Basketball court was cool too- just need to get the balls from the front desk. They did run out of the pool towels so I had to run back to our room wet, but I didn’t mind as much since we were on the first floor. Comes with a fitness center. All of these amenities, you need a hotel card to access so it felt secured and safe! Would come back again.

The hotel was perfect! The employees were all super kind and welcoming. The room was amazing, beds comfy, a/c worked great, bathrooms clean and spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The courtyard area was beautiful, spa was great. Plenty to stay bisy doing with basketball and the putt putt area. There are grills out there too. Breakfast in the morning was good too, waffles, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, bagels and stuff along with coffee juice and soft drinks. Will stay there again if we are in the area.

Everything was amazing!! Extremely clean, so comfortable, beautiful room, the whole building is so nice!! Delicious breakfast with full variety of choices, staff so friendly, helpful and professional!!

The breakfast was really good, as was the setting for it. The location has direct (one long major street) access to the 5 freeway but is far enough removed to be quiet. The room darkening draperies are much appreciated. The front desk staff was very efficient and polite in confirming my reservation ( I had received an e-mail from Booking to contact the hotel in advance to confirm) which I had had to book close to arrival time. I was there several days and even used the well kept jacuzzi one night.

The breakfast was AMAZING!!! Christa was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal ahead was anticipating all of our needs and absolutely a pleasure! I had a meeting when I first got to the hotel and Luca meet me at the desk to make sure I had WiFi and a comfortable place to meet he was SUPER helpful with my room accommodations and even supported getting my family on the same floor which always works because we have little ones. Lastly Ricardo was AMAZING as our 2nd breakfast server he was helpful, pleasant and went over and above. We stay here everytime we are in Carlsbad and will continue to stay here and tell our family! Thank you so much!!!

Everything was clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. I forgot to bring slippers and the front desk was able to provide me with complimentary ones. Family friendly my kids everything joked the courtyard games and pool. The breakfast buffet was also delicious various options offered. Definitely will be back.

A wonderful location with basically a private beach in front (walk across road) and lots of fun things nearby (Legoland, museums, and The Flower Fields). Jacuzzi was a great temperature which is the main reason my wife picks a hotel. Uniquely they have fun games available for free to play (ping pong, corn hole, darts, etc.). Service was top notch and friendly. I loved their buffet breakfast though my wife was disappointed in their continental breakfast not having the berries and greek yogurt as advertised (only Yoplait and Mellons).

I still will keep my 5 star review since the hotel management definitely redeemed the experience for me. They were so kind and accommodating after some inconveniences. In all other areas this hotel is INCREDIBLE. This was our second stay in the last couple years and will not be the last. The design is breathtaking and luxurious, the ambience is perfect for couples or families, and we love how huge the lobby is with so many areas to lounge around. We spend so much time in the hotel because of its beauty and special ambiance. The restaurants are all great as well! Beach views are amazing and the beach access is so convenient. The hotel offers complimentary chairs, umbrellas, and towels on the beach which was next level relaxing for us to not have to lug around that stuff on our trip. Overall truly excellent experience minus the cleanliness.

Had a great stay at the hotel, the hotel itself is gorgeous, the decorating was so fun to look at. The entire staff from the valet, to the receptionist, waiters, bell boys were all very friendly. The room was spacious and clean, my only complaint was the fridge was warm so we could not keep our drinks or dessert in their :( The Shore Club was a nice treat with pool table, games and a fireplace, definitely a place to relax. The pool was nice and heated with an ocean view. The Piper restaurant was good, missing a bit of flavor or salt on some of the food but overall a good experience. The property is close to the Amtrack train rails so you will here the train horns plus it gets pretty busy out so traffic and people could be heard all day and night. The balcony doors are pretty soundproof so just shut your door when you want some quiet time. With being so close to the beach, literally across the street, we had a great weekend getaway !!

I stayed at the hotel for four days and I had very restful nights, comfortable beds and pretty quiet for been a family resort. My room was clean except for a little dust by the bed and in the bar. I loved the location, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Great service,

Enjoyed a one night stay at the Green Room Hotel. I liked the location near tasty food such as HomeState and coffee such as Revolution Roasters. Nice to soak in the wood jacuzzi and the room was spacious with nice touches.

Excellent accommodations (queen bed room with sitting area, kitchen and private patio). Clean, quiet and safe for the solo traveler. There are bikes to borrow and a hot tub to relax in. The area offers many restaurants and cafes, like Home State for delicious tacos and a nice walk into Carlsbad for a Steady State coffee or tea. Directly across the street is a small but well stocked organic grocery store Cream of the Crop if you want a snack to take to the beach or maybe to the sunset- a great view can be found at the top of Cassidy where people gather to watch the sunset. The staff are especially gracious and accommodating- and although they are not onsite, they interact with their guests via text and calling immediately to insure their needs are met. I will be returning to this wonderful establishment.

It was perfect weekends get away. The room was clean. Many good restaurants and coffee shops are around the hotel. And it’s walkable distance to the beach. We had draining issue on bath tub, but the hotel responded quickly and fixed it right away. 👍 Free water👍👍 and morning coffee was the Best! I’ll definitely stay this hotel on summer again!

We had a wonderful time on our staycation at The Green Room Hotel, Oceanside, CA. Our room was well stocked and appointed with many items including snacks, drinks, kitchenware, soaps/shampoo, and towels. Bedding was super comfortable and overall Boho decor gave a modern chic feel. The in-room bluetooth speaker was super convenient for listening to our favorite music. The common areas were clean and landscaping was well-manicured. There's a seating area by the fire pit and picnic benches for all guests to enjoy. Most rooms have little private patio with seating area as well. The hotel offers free use of bikes which we used to explore nearby areas as well as surfboards to use at the nearby beach. The hot tub was amazing at night and offered an extra piece of relaxation after a day out with the bikes. Steve was also great with communication and check in instructions was super simple. Overall a 10/10 experience and highly recommend if you're in the Oceanside, CA area. We will definitely be back! Thank you The Geen Room Hotel!

We enjoyed a three day stay in the Green Room. We spent most of our time on the patio soaking up the sun. Our rooms were spacious, clean and well supplied. The hotel is in a walkable area with interesting restaurants and small shops. Carlsbad Beach is not far either. The Green Room has beach chairs and bikes as well some surf boards available. The staff is always available by phone or email.

Location is wonderful. Customer service is great and the valet parking team always has your car ready by the time you get downstairs. They thought of everything!

We stayed one night to go to the beach. The free shuttle to the local beach is wonderful. They will set up umbrellas and chaise lounges for you prior to you getting there. It is a rocky beach, but there is sand for the kids to play. When I checked in, I was offered an upgrade of a pool view for $10 or Ocean view for 25. I did the ocean view upgrade, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The view is the street, and an RV park, before you see the water. It’s not really my idea of ocean view. I can’t recommend that. The staff was extremely friendly, the pool area is nice, didn’t try the restaurant because prices were really high. Overall, the shuttle and set up at the beach is a definite reason to stay here.

Our visit to Cape Rey was remarkable! It was exactly what we expected from a Hilton property. Contemporary luxury, with a beautiful pool and grounds. Clean and quiet resort. We had a very nice and spacious room with very comfortable beds. Parking was convenient. The location was right across the street from the ocean, a short walk to the beach. We didn't eat at Chandlers on property but we enjoyed several in room service breakfasts. The resort was close to everything you might want to do. Bob and the entire resort staff was very nice and friendly. We will visit again!

Absolutely beautiful location with spectacular views. Conference rooms were spacious and comfortable for presenters and attendees. AV support was excellent and the personnel very attentive and kind. The catering was fantastic at all meals, cocktail parties and dinner - truly A+++. Front desk staff was always very helpful and kind. Enjoyed the self parking which was very close to the Resort, the beautiful gift shop and especially appreciated the 24-hour adjoining snack shop. All around -tuly enjoyable conference.

The only reason I did not give a excellent score was that we ordered room service for breakfast and it was very very cold, for a $60.00 breakfast there should be an expectation that the food would be hot. Other than that dinner was good, beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly.

This location is in a very safe and suburban area. I felt very safe and you can walk to a local bar called Pure Project where they have really good beer. There is a pizza place next door that was really good too. They had a nice happy hour at check in. I think its onlyon Mon & Wed. They have a cute draft beer machine and the IPA was good. They had nachos snacks and fresh baked cookies. The front staff are very dedicated and super nice. The manager Maria is very professional and manages the Marriot very well. Breakfast was decent. I am not a huge breakfast eater so I just had Greek yogurt & boiled eggs. Coffee was just ..meh...so if you're a coffee snob like me..there is a Starbucks in the same parking lot. The Starbucks is in a very nice neighborhood so I really enjoyed sipping on my coffee in the SB patio area. This location is very close to Carlsbad Village. Pretty nice. Oh~ and they have free Tesla chargers. It's not a fast charger but very convenient to charge

Ive stayed at this hotel a couple times. I really like it. Free hot breakfast saves us lots of money for my family. Coffee is ready super super early for us early risers, well before breakfast is out. And its good too! Pool is clean and heated, also a hot tub. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Laundry open 24 hours. Theres a little store at the front to grab snacks, drinks, microwave food, ice cream....convenient when you dont want to go anywhere. Its also dog friendly, 2 dogs allowed for 100 per stay. Staff is friendly. Free electric/tesla charging station in parkimg lot. Will return.

Words can not describe the amazing experience I had here! If you are having a wedding nearby, this is the hotel to have a hotel block for and to get ready in! The communication I had with the director of sales, Sanja, was amazing from start to finish. She always answered my questions quickly and thoroughly via email and phone. My bridesmaids and I got ready here before the wedding, and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly! I upgraded to the bridal suite and it was worth every penny! I got a two bedroom suite and it was the perfect size! They removed the bed from one room, so we had a bedroom and living room to get ready in. There was a total of 8 of us getting ready, 3 makeup/hair artist, videographer, and photographer. Sanja, Miguel, and and the team decorated the room so beautifully! They supplied snacks, mimosa bar, extra tables/chairs, full length mirror, decorations, etc. Sanja was there the day of to help too! It was honestly such a stress reliever, and I didn’t have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. My friends and family were so impressed with the hospitality! While I was at my wedding, they also cleaned the room and decorated it for me and my husbands arrival! Thank you Sanja and the team for such an amazing experience! Another amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is very good. The associates are consistently welcoming and extremely accommodating. For my recent visit, I had the pleasure of working with Sanja Ilunga to reserve a block of rooms. Helpful staff. Very clean and modern hotel. Quiet and comfortable, we fell asleep as soon as we laid down the bed was SO comfy. Bathroom is very clean and nice with the walk in shower, had a nice scent to it also. Neighbourhood is safe and lots of restaurants around. Would definitely return or recommend

We stay here many times a year and always enjoy our stay. We love the King Suite with the extra sitting room that has a sofa and 2nd tv. The rooms are super clean and the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. We also love the good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. We’ll be back!

We haven’t stayed at this property in about 20 years (when it was under another brand). I have to say from start to finish, this was an amazing stay. The front drive was handled professionally on arrival, front desk was incredibly helpful during check-in and the entire experience was seamless and enjoyable. The pool was great. Well staffed, never in need of anything and with tons of options. We are at the lounge, Ember & Rye for dinner and Ponto Lago for breakfast. All were awesome both in food and service. We golfed and the entire experience there was welcoming and wonderful while playing a top notch course. The renovation done a few years ago was incredibly well done from the lobby to the spa and guest rooms. We got to experience a fantastic aerial yoga class at Miraval which was really unique. The rooms were modern, comfortable and well appointed. Service and comfort top notch. Would definitely visit again either as a family or couple (separate pools allow for both to comfortably enjoy). Thank you to the team for an amazing stay-I only wish we had stayed longer!

Valet was terrific and very friendly. The servers inside the Ponto restaurant were also great. Housekeeping was spot on too. Adult Pool was terrific. Had to hustle the server down to order drinks at the pool, but there were plenty of friendly staff members who were customer-focused. Shuttle driver down to the lawn for the Grease Movie was also friendly and overall the resort is very service oriented. 5 Stars for all Staff except for Cocktail server at the pool who was nice, but did not approach us at all to take our order at either pool. Towel staff was also great. Top Golf was a blast for our teens. The Churros at the Ponto restaurant were amazing. Best I’ve ever had. Overall terrific stay but if you want a really quiet stay, look elsewhere as this hotel is full of young children who are well behaved but loud just because they are little. :)

We could not have asked for a better experience for our 5 days in the San Diego area. The resort is beautiful. We were upgraded to a 2 King Coastal View room and really enjoyed the space the form afforded our family of 4 and the balcony. We spent a lot of time in the room and enjoying the balcony after our busy days touring San Diego. Our kids appreciated the heated pool and the food/beverage service was readily available and consistent. The valet was efficient and always friendly. We did not eat at any of the restaurants but utilized the Market for coffee and quick snacks. Park Hyatt is a real treat, family friendly, and we hope to make it back one day!

We had a fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was top-notch — friendly, professional, and always helpful. The food was delicious, whether we were lounging by the pool or hanging out at Topgolf. Our room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable. We stayed in a poolside room with two king beds, which was perfect for our family. Our son had such a blast with the pools, slides, and Topgolf that we decided to extend our stay another day — totally worth it! This place really knows how to make you feel relaxed and taken care of. Highly recommend!

The property is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the foothills and even ocean views. Located in a beautiful area of executive homes. Located directly on the Aviara Golf Course. The rooms are very nice, with comfy beds and luxurious bathrooms. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Close to shopping and restaurants and also to the beach. Bring your swimming trunks. This is a beautiful hotel with a great swimming and jacuzzi, comfortable rooms and a decent restaurant. Only drawback is that breakfast is not served before 6:30, so it will be a rushed affair if you have an early flight or meeting.

Check in was smooth. We did self parking, which was conveniently located right across the way in a lot that is easy to access. The grounds are kept very nicely. Lush grass and landscaping is clean all around. Rooms were comfortable for the most part. Bathroom had a bathtub/shower combo with a rain shower and handheld shower head (which makes it convenient to wash kids). The beds were a little soft and lumpy, but it wasn't a big deal. The walls are thin and you can hear people in the hallway and above you. Bring ear plugs if you are a sensitive sleeper. Blackout curtains worked well though. There's a fridge that worked really well and a coffee machine in the room. Amenities also included white tea scented shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The hotel has easy access to Legoland, which made it super convenient. You can also go to the nearby properties and enjoy their restaurant/pool. We enjoyed our meals at the 7 mile restaurant at the Sheraton (the service was a little slow, but most of the servers were nice). You can also order poolside at the Westin, which was convenient. Keep in mind that there are a lot of families (especially during the holidays), due to the proximity of Legoland. It is also very dog- friendly and my dog loved sleeping on her comfy Westin dog bed that was provided for our stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Such easy access to Carlsbad village and so many great restaurants within a 10-mile radius. Lots of options!

Fantastic experience at Westin Carlsbad in July 2025 with family. Breakfast and dinners at 20/Twenty restaurant were a fair value and delicious. Early morning coffee started just before 6am and was fresh thru the morning. Our suite was a little plain, but clean, modern, and spacious. Outside area was comfortable and beautifully landscaped with no special amenities other than a nice gym, big pool, and plenty of outside (and indoor) living spaces to relax, picnic, chat and plan. Walking distance to Legoland and several shuttle options for nearby excursions. Just up the hill was a hiking/running trail at Veterans Park, which made a nice 5K loop. Beach is not walkable but we biked to beach - there’s a shuttle but bringing your bikes (or borrowing from nearby affiliated Sheraton) is a super hack. No nitpicky unexpected costs on our bill, and very friendly staff all week. We will go back for sure.

This is a great resort with a very calm and peaceful vibe. We stayed in the Grand View building. The rooms are big, beautiful and upscale with some very nice luxurious touches. The Heavenly bed was very comfortable with nice linens and had great pillows. Beautiful bathroom and shower as well (although very low water pressure in the shower). And the staff gave us great service. Ana, who also works at the front desk at the sister property Sheraton, is the best! Her service is amazing. She remembered me from my last visit and even remembered my name! Thoughtful acts of hospitality like that make us keep coming back to this resort! A special thanks also to Jennifer at front desk who always gives great service. And thank you to Michelle for sending up a little treat for our anniversary!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. We found the hotel very clean, comfortable and we felt very safe. The hot breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable. Overall the atmosphere was very lovely and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

My hotel stay was excellent, and I will definitely be back! The hotel is located in a fairly industrial area, but is very close to grocery stores and restaurants and the location is very safe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated that parking was free and plentiful! I didn’t eat breakfast there or use any of the amenities, but the room was great and the property was clean.

Friendly front desk. Big rooms (with the living room area). Comfy beds. Everything was very clean. Room had a mini fridge, microwave, desk, small closet with plenty of hangars, plenty of towels. Breakfast had lots of variety—cereal, yogurt, oatmeal (& a toppings bar), bagels, waffles…it got a little crowded and one day had to wait for more of the hot cooked items (potatoes, sausage, mini quiche) and the milk was a bit warm from sitting out. Definately a good stay and we will stay here again.

Near most shopping center, Dutch bros right next door. Quiet, safe, & comfortable room. Staff was friendly & welcoming.

The place was great. We stayed for 6 nights. The room had a king sized bed and a couch. It had a desk, 2 nightstands with reading lights. The vanity was big. It had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The room was clean and had plenty of towels. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the elevator worked fine. The pool and jacuzzi were relaxing. Free breakfast from 6:30-9:30am was a nice spread. Eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles. Yogurt, fresh fruit and much more. We will definitely be back here.

I made a quick trip to Encinitas for a spa day and hiking trip (Annie's canyon). The hotel had a convenient location as it was near my activities, as well as the freeway and the main strip near the beach. The room was clean and quiet (surprising considering how close the freeway is)! The room seemed to be recently renovated where a lot of the fixtures seemed new; I couldn't get the bedside lamps to work, but there were plenty of other lighting options. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was OK, but I would suggest getting a longer shower curtain as it was too short and had the floor covered in water. The included breakfast was great and saved time going into town!

My family and I loved staying here, the staff were very welcoming and very nice. The room had an amazing view, and the room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was just perfect.

The room was very comfortable but we had a few issues. Our daughter’s bathtub had a mat that was peeling off and it didn’t look very clean. Also, they have a small pool and hot tub and neither looked very clean. They were slightly green.🙁 But, the free breakfast was great. 3 hot food items, fresh waffles, cereals, bagels, oranges, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Overall, worth the price.

Very nice property. The rooms and bathrooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The best part was the service and excellent breakfast. The service at front desk was excellent! Ana gave us absolutely amazing service with a smile during our stay and even remembered my name every time I approached her. We also got great service from Grace and Liz. They all had a genuinely welcoming way about them. The breakfast is absolutely delicious at Twenty 20. It was also very good at 7 Mile. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Had an all around pleasant stay. The staff was welcoming and the room was quiet and comfortable. I was able to take advantage of the hot tub which was clean and hot. The food at the restaurant was hot, fresh and tasty although it did take quite a while to come out. I would definitely return to this hotel.

My family of 3 with a toddler stayed here during our visit to Legoland. I would highly recommend staying here or at one of the sister hotels connected. The private park entrance was great for convenience and avoiding lines to the park. Liz at the front desk was very kind and professional. She helped us during our stay and made sure to give us a credit for some issues we faced during our stay. One night our room was not cleaned and we were asked to step out while it was cleaned. We left for almost 2 hours and returned to a still unserviced room. We did not get clean towels or linens until almost 8pm. I try to be very understanding but definitely do not want to be cleaning or unable to take a shower on vacation with my toddler. The housekeeping team was very friendly upon delivery of items. The pool was beautiful! We felt like we were at a resort and was the favorite part of our trip. Downside was that the gelato and coffee order window could use backup, the wait was very long. The pool could also use a spray or hose down each morning, I felt like the concrete didn't look very fresh in the morning with some debris and dirt. Cassandra was so kind and friendly while bringing us snacks and drinks - she really made us feel catered to. We would definitely return here but hope for the cost and hotel brand these things could be impoved upon.

Wife and I stayed with our late teen to preteen boys. Manager Jay was nice and accommodating. Room was updated and clean, a clean room is the most important to me. My family and I don't spend a lot of time in the room, but a clean room and bed are important. I don't think housekeeping swept and mopped the floor during our stay so our floor got some sand from beach trips. Breakfast was simple grab and go, coffee, fruit, and a small danish. Parking is tight in some areas, but manageable. Getting in and out of the hotel can be tricky as it sits by a busy intersection. If you are smart you can figure out how to get in and out easily. Being by the busy intersection comes with some noise, especially on the weekend. The road noise seemed to quiet down a lot overnight. If you are a light sleeper and early to bed this could be an issue. You could take a longer walk to the beach, but we found an lot with $2 daily parking that has easy access to the beach. We could also hear our neighboring rooms if they were a little loud. Thankfully our neighbors quieted down before too late. Overall I would stay here again.

The photos actually match what you'll see in person. The room was spacious, the bathroom was waaaaaay nicer than I had expected. Parking lot wasn't the best. If you have big vehicle (large SUV, truck, etc) it might be a tight fit for you. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. You're about 3 blocks away from the beach! This is my new go to motel when I'm traveling on a budget. I won't hold chipped paint, or a crack in a floor against them. I felt pretty safe overall while staying here. And the bed was mad comfy, which was a pleasant surprise. The shower doesn't take forever to get hot; excellent water pressure. Grade: B will stay here again.

Super 8 in oceanside is definitely a good find. Rates are always doable even on busy days and you can gurantee your going to get a clean room with a clean bed, and clean linen. Downside parking areas are small and so hopefully you dont have a full sized truck. As far as the area its self, honestly its a mixture of homless, working class, and young adualts. Its super close to the beach, and some night life action going on. But it could use more eateries. Anyways i give this place and the surrounding area a cool 4 stars.

The hotel is run well and the cost is low and attractive. The contintental breakfast is very light but the coffee is hot and tasty. Four blocks from the beach with easy walking.

Thanks for the previous reviews which made me book this place. I just love this place and for the money spent fur 3 days. This will be one my regular stay place when I am in this area. From web pre-checkin to all the way to checkout was super pleasant. The rooms are spacious & the bathrooms are so clean. The property is conveniently located close to the beach & also the freeway. Linens are clean, light breakfast and coffee, frig and micro, shower worked well, storage space was plentiful, maid staff is friendly, plenty of ice, laundry works, room key needed to climb to 2nd floor adds to the security, close to beach, about one mile, close to shopping, there is an app they ought to promote for cheap transportation around Oceanside. I forget the name but a large golf cart vehicle drives people around town.

The hotel was great. We had a double room upstairs. The beds were comfy, plenty of hot water and nice breakfast in the morning. Lucy did a great job in the dining area keeping everything full and clean. She is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Beach Terrace was one of the most amazing properties I've ever stayed at, and I have traveled all over the world. I went with my 5.5 year old daughter for 3.5 days over the Christmas holiday recently (Saturday-Tuesday). The property is so beautiful, clean and literally right on the ocean. There isn't a hotel like it in the area AT all. The pool is heated and against the crashing waves, it's just a wonderful swimming and relaxation experience. You can also lay out in front of the ocean or right on the beach. The property is 10 minutes from Legoland and within walking distance from food and shopping in the Carlsbad town so it's kid and family friendly on top of being a beautiful hotel for adults. The rooms are beautifully spacious, well decorated and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The staff does an amazing job of making every guest feel special and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is well curated and also very good. The magic was in the details. In the reception area, there is a game library, so my daughter and I got to play Candyland and Jenga listening to the ocean. The robes in the rooms were ponchos - super comfy and perfect. There are different types of pillows you can request, coffee makers and amenities like beach bags, yoga mats and beach toys in the rooms. It was just BEYOND what I was expecting and we can't wait to come back. If we could have, we would have extended our trip but had to get back to home for Christmas Eve. Thank you!

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The staff are helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. We took full advantage of the pillow menu, coffee maker choices, and petite breakfast. The breakfast is very well done and delicious. It’s not as small as you might think. It was perfect to take to our balcony and eat in front of the ocean. There were dolphins who like to swim around right outside our room. The beach was a bit rocker than I anticipated but that didn’t take away from anything. W loved the beach and the toys/chairs they provided. Location is perfect. We will definitely be back and highly recommended.

This was our first time here. WOW! My husband and I absolutely love it here! It was so perfect, we booked an additional night! We had the panoramic oceanfront king suite. Impressed! Huge bathroom with a beautiful shower; kitchenette, closet, foyer, living area with couch, huge oceanfront balcony with NO cautions of any kind in front of you! Has a comfy futon-ish couch & chair on balcony. I ended up sleeping on the balcony every night LOL. The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful. Convenient! Wow! Carlsbad village is absolutely walkable with tons of very good restaurants, shops etc. This hotel was the answer to what my husband and I needed! So much so, we decided to make this hotel our yearly vacation place. Highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

Beach Terrace is the ideal location for a staycation if you live in Southern California. It's oceanfront location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying all that the beach has to offer. Their beach chairs, lounge chairs, and umbrellas are set up for you daily...no extra charge. If the Pacific Ocean is too cold for you, their ocean front pool is warm and has the best view. Bring the kiddos, sand toys are provided. At night, the fire pits and blankets will keep you warm. Complimentary breakfast had something for everyone...from croissants to chia seed pudding for the health conscious. Beach cruisers are complimentary, but Beach Terrace is walkable to everything Carlsbad has to offer. Shopping and dining options are plentiful.

The room was outstanding, it was very clean, cool and accommodating. The views from the ocean front room was an amazing experience, as well as a soothing ambiance for a great evening. The beds are super comfy and facing the ocean view. The staff was attentive to our needs and always where we needed them. Our breakfast was scrumptious with a fresh, healthy flavor. Parking was simple (At the beach) safe and easy to access. Overall our experience was one to remember and already have recommended The Beach Terrace to friends and family. It’s not modern for (like) teenager’s taste, but for middle aged adults & up, it feels like home.

We really wanted to like this inn. We like to support small business/non chain hotels but we were very disappointed with our stay. When we turned the ceiling fan on in our room it sparked. I texted Tori the property manager and she immediately responded and upgraded us to a larger room. When I went to use the shower after a long day of traveling we had no hot water. She rectified the situation but it took hours for the water to heat up. I took a cold shower and my husband took a hot shower in the room we were originally in. FYI no housekeeping services. You have to get your own fresh towels from a common room downstairs. The refrigerator and microwave are also in a common area. Coffee is available in the lobby but it was closed in the morning both times we went down. No bar soap either…just small travel size bottles of shower gel. Even at night when it was cool outside our room was hot. We were extremely uncomfortable even with the windows open. It truly is a very expensive NO FRILLS inn. We could have stayed elsewhere with just as good location to Carlsbad village and been much more comfortable. I really feel like we wasted our money.

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed our stay. We were initially surprised to discover opon our arrival that this was no longer a bed and breakfast. The Inn had changed hands between when we booked and when we arrived. The delicous breakfasts described in the online blog is no longer served. We got over our initial disappointment though as we had a lovely, very spacious room with lots of natural light, comfortable seating and a gas fireplace. The Inn is located on a residential street which is very quiet. Great location a couple blocks from the beach and from Carlsbad Village with lots of restaurants and shops. The manager, Tori was very responsive via text during our stay. She recommended a great seafood restaurant within walking distance the first night, the Bluewater Grill. We enjoyed a delicious dinner there sitting outside. Later when we reported a burned out light bulb, Austin helped us within minutes. He even removed his shoes respectfully before entering the room! We hope to stay here again. It was an overall great experience more in line with a VRBO expectation where you have contactless check in but the convenience of the manager being readily available if needed. Thanks Tori and Austin!

Disregard all but the most recent reviews. The pelican Inn, which apparently used to be a bed-and-breakfast with a nice breakfast spread is now a very basic, but comfortable, self-check-in room business. Almost like an Air BnB . The room was clean and simple. Comfortable queensize bed, almost too soft because of the topper. Had a gas fireplace which we did not use. Bathroom was very basic with a pedestal sink tub, shower and nozzle water saver type showerhead. There is management you can contact before hand and during your stay. There’s a coffee Keurig in the lobby, but no one actually on the premises. Although the room was bright and airy with multiple windows to let in the cool air in the evening, the downside to that was very noticeable train passing through 1030 at night 6:30 in the morning 645 in the morning 7:30 in the morning. No sleeping in. No refrigerator or coffee maker in the room, but in the lobby there is a Keurig coffee maker and nearby on the premises and accessible ice machine and washer dryer

Everything! Rooms are cozy and clean and comfy! Beds are super comfy! Coffee/tea and granola bars offered in the lobby and Alfredo is very helpful and accommodating. He goes above and beyond to assure everyone is well taken care of, and he is always very polite and considerate and has helped me carry my belongings upon arrival. He takes great care of the property and he is also very friendly and nice. I enjoy his company when I run into him in passing.

Wonderful. The staff was great! Room was perfect. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The bar b drinks are great, along with a great bartender, he's story nice. I will definitely stay here again. Pool and Jacuzzi clean and nice.

You need to book this hotel. Everything was absolutely nice. The room was really nice, spacious and clean. The mojitos from the bar and the breakfast were also delicious. Pool and Jacuzzi area was relaxing. I’m a coffee lover and there was delicious coffee everywhere. Make sure to be nice to the employees when requesting anything during your stay, I’m a strong believer that you will be treated the same way you treat others 😉

Fantastic little boutique hotel in such a perfect spot on PCH. Fantastic shops and restaurants are steps away and it’s just a short (although hilly) 10 minute walk to a lovely quiet beach. We were greeted by the owner who showed us to our room and was always available during office hours to answer questions and offer suggestions in the area. Very friendly! The room was clean and well equipped. The bed was too soft for my taste and I tend to like a softer bed. The room did show some signs of age but the cleanliness more than made up for the dings here and there. The shower was fantastic but i will caution the bathroom is tiny. The cabinets were fully stocked for the kitchenette and we had everything we needed. Overall a great stay and we will be back!

It was a beautiful, clean and peaceful, and it was so nice to have a kitchenette! Additionally, the proximity to the beach was perfect for easy access and jaw dropping views. The manager was friendly and helpful. I will return next time I’m in the area.

This place is an absolute gem. Quaint, old-school hotel along the 101 in the Leucadia section of Encinitas. The room was immaculately clean, which I appreciate. It was a great place to work remote for a week - strong wifi, kitchen table to work at, with a full kitchen (sink, fridge, stove). Location was amazing. Walk to dozens of coffee shops, taco shops, restaurants, breweries, etc. Also easy walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Great staff. I ended up extended my trip to the area and Leucadia Beach Inn was great accommodating my extension.

Everything was amazing... 10/10. My wife and I loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Location was perfect, management was very friendly/helpful, beach was close, great local restaurants nearby, parking was easy.. Very clean room as well. A+++

Great and easy place to stay. This was perfect for a place to sleep for 2 nights. And gave us more than that. Wish the Jacuzzi was working.

The location of the hotel and the rate of a double King bed room was great. The room had a nice extra mini sink by the fridge and coffee maker in the room. The king beds were comfortable and there was lots of space in the room. Even 2 armoires to unpack into. The Hottub was large and felt great after a day at Legoland. And its proximity to Legoland was also awesome, only a few min drive. The breakfast in the am was nice too with 2 waffle machines, assorted toast, eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, home fries, etc…

The hotel building and grounds are beautiful, well maintained and clean. The staff - both front desk and housekeeping, were very helpful, kind and friendly. The breakfast room is comfortable and clean. That said, I would skip the breakfast option as sadly, it ranks as one of the worst hotel breakfast we have ever had. The questionable scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes were cold and tasteless. Yogurt was sugary sweet and the oatmeal was runny. The bananas and oranges were fine thankfully. However, the staff was attentive and friendly.

This hotel is conveniently to Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Deceptively quiet considering it is located close to the freeway. The parking area is is nicely lit, but very tight for are large vehicles. During my brief stay, it seemed like a majority of the guests at the hotel were families and traveling sports teams. My air conditioned room was simply decorated and very clean. The room didn't have a view which was fine. I suspect the lack of commotion greatly contributed to peacefully quiet nights. Plenty of seating in the lobby which my visitors and I took advantage of during a fairly chilly night in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. There's access to coffee and tea 24 hrs a day in the lobby. My only gripe: the lobby's water dispensing machine needed some attention. It was overlooked compared to the rest of the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. High marks for the attentive breakfast crew. All the food was replenished quickly and the area was always tidy and clean.

The free breakfast and breakfast staff are wonderful, cheerful and helpful. Front desk staff very nice as well. The food was great! The location is next to the 5 freeway and 101 Coast Highway in Encinitas, on Birmingham. Its a 5 minute drive to the beach. Close to all, and central between North County and Sand Diego. Safe and convenient location, clean and comfortable stay.

While this isn’t a luxury 5-star hotel, this hotel thoroughly hit the mark and exceeded our expectations. The location was great — close to the freeway, but far enough to not see it or hear any road noise. And, it was only about 5-10 minutes drive to the coast. We most enjoyed driving 15 minutes to Encinitas — and the gorgeous drive along the coast to get there from the hotel! Our room was very clean and felt very recently renovated. We were very comfortable! We were surprised to learn a full breakfast buffet was included in our stay. It featured eggs, bacon and other hot offerings, not just continental breakfast. The hotel also had a mini store in the lobby where we could easily pick out water and light snacks for the room, and charge to our room. (It beats a minibar!). There’s also a Valero convenience store next door to the hotel, where we saw other guests pick up more substantial snacks/ beverages for the room. I’d definitely return to this hotel!

Very nice Hampton Inn. Convenient for visiting family in Encinitas and for things to do in the area. The room was large and clean. The staff was helpful. Jose was particularly friendly and helpful. Good value. Comfortable beds. Convenient - near the highway but far enough away that we didn't hear any noise. Got a great night's sleep. Good breakfast.

This Hotel is across the street from the Ocean with many restaurants within walking distance. We had a balcony and could see the ocean with limited visibility. There was an outdoor lounge on the 2nd floor with beautiful ocean views - and the sunsets from there were beautiful. The room they serve breakfast in has large ocean view windows - and we sat there in the afternoon and played games. A fire pit with lots of seating is on the first floor - with the option of buying a smores kit$$. Our room was clean and comfortable. The wash basin and dressing area was across the hall from the shower and toilet - which made it great for 2 people . Breakfast was hot and cold buffet style and everything was fresh tasting. There is a pool but no Jacuzzi. One thing I did not like was there was only one chair on the balcony - no table. And when I requested another chair I was told to take the rolling chair from the desk - which kept rolling around on the balcony. We are outside people and really use the balcony. We ate breakfast on the balcony each morning. Another quirk was that if you wanted to go to the office - you had to go outside the gates ( so remember to bring your key),

Almost perfect stay! The Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge in Carlsbad exceeded expectations in so many ways — the breakfast was great, customer service was warm and attentive, and the location couldn’t be better. It’s close to everything yet just far enough to feel peaceful and quiet. I especially loved the fire pit area and the ocean view, which made mornings and evenings feel extra special. The only downside was the super tight parking spaces — definitely manageable, just a bit tricky if you have a larger vehicle. Overall, an amazing spot for a relaxing getaway. I’d absolutely stay here again! 🌊🔥

Our family had an amazing summer getaway. We enjoyed the pool onsite, breakfast, fire pit, laundry service, beach views and beach access. Restaurants are at a walking distance that we didn’t move our car once. The staff was amazing and friendly. The site was a secured located and felt safe at all times. This is our 39th year coming here. CBI is always the cleanest, up to date and fun beach resort around. The grounds are beautiful and it is steps away from the ocean. The cabana has lots of equipment to check out. The adult jacuzzi is beautiful! Best managed resort around!

I booked rooms for a teambuilding weekend, and we had a great time. The grounds were great with a nice pool, large jacuzzi, firepits on the lawn area and cozy fireplaces inside to relax with friends or read a book. There are also eateries steps away from the hotel. Thank you, Will Acosta

I stay at many courtyard and spring hill suites all over Orange County as my kids travel for water polo tournaments. This was a girls getaway trip and this was by far THE BEST Springhill suits I have every stayed at. The decorations and coastal murals on each floor and the ambience was all so pretty. The jacuzzi with rooftop view was amazing. The connecting little bar restaurant all adorable. Enjoyed the beer/wine amenity as well.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location. The hotel is really nice. Updated decor and very cozy. The lobby has a fireplace and there's a firepit outside. There's a restaurant attached, which was good. I loved that you could rent bikes, beach chairs, etc. on site. Despite reading several reviews about there being a noisy train track right behind the hotel, I'm happy to report that the train was not a problem. We had a partial ocean view, balcony room and we were closest to the train stop. I'm a very light sleeper, and I never heard one noise. The train stops and starts its route a few hundred yards away, so the train comes by very slowly. They did offer a white noise machine in the room, and we never used it. I actually enjoyed watching the train come and go. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The free breakfast was good. One thing to note is that despite offering ocean view rooms, this hotel is not beachfront. There's one hotel in front , and ocean view rooms are in the side of the hotel. View is great and the beach is a 1 min walk. There are lots of restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance. The Pier is very close too. You can also walk to the Top Gun House. Will definitely stay again!

I am so pleased with our relaxed stay, at this home away from home location. My family could store food in the included refrigerator, heat up our leftovers in the microwave, & can dry our hair with the included hair dryer. We had 5 days of clothes to wash prior to arriving and conveniently there are very clean laundry services. We paid $2 to wash and $1.75 to dry. The units are extra large to hold and wash thoroughly our clothes. It was so nice to have clean clothes and dried well without being damp. The staff were friendly and accomodating with towels and extra hygienic products. We had to stay an extra day due to a storm and we were given an extra day with fair rates. Breakfast is served from 6am to 9 pm. There was complimentary food such as toast, apples, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice and tea. The only issue that I noticed was a lack of vegan and gluten free options. My family is highly allergic & could not enjoy the spread. We got to have orange juice and tea. My family appreciated that we are central to so many activities and shopping centers. Beaches, restaurants, and the coaster are walking distance. The pool was clean as well with a designated smoking area, outside of the pool. Our vehicle was safe without any issues. The property was quiet, clean, and felt good to return after a day of activities. The shower with included body wash, shampoo, and conditioner wall units was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I like the beach decor. Highly recommended.

Perfect location just outside the heart of Encinitas with a 5 minute walk to the stonesteps beach access. It was not directly in the middle of nightlife so it was quiet but you weren't far to walk from a variety of restaurants or even to Moonlight beach and the main street. Encinitas was not too far from San Diego making it easy to get to after a long flight. Also I was in a good location to get up to Temecula/Murrieta for work. I felt safe in this location as a solo female traveler. Staff was very pleasant and responsive. I couldn't check in early, but they let me use the restroom and leave my car in the parking lot while I went up to the beach and relaxed after my long flight. Cleaning staff was very good. There was maid service every day, and they did a superior job keeping the room clean. The value was very good in my opinion. To stay in California for a week for less than $800 close to where I wanted to be, feeling safe, having access to a pool and breakfast made this a very good option for me. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room served my purposes. But it isn't a 4 star hotel - so don't expect that from this experience.

I had a fantastic experience at Brisa Pacific Hotel in Encinitas! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and has a relaxed coastal vibe that instantly puts you at ease. What really made my stay exceptional was the service, especially from Daniela at the front desk. She was absolutely amazing—welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Daniela went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, offered great local tips, and made me feel like a valued guest from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend Brisa Pacific if you’re visiting Encinitas. And if you’re lucky enough to meet Daniela, you’re in for outstanding service!

The Brisa Pacific Hotel in Encinitas was very comfortable and quiet. The rooms are exceptionally clean and have been recently renovated, providing a fresh and pleasant environment. However, the breakfast offerings have declined over the years, which was quite disappointing; on the second day, I chose to have breakfast elsewhere. Additionally, the corridors could benefit from new carpeting and a fresh coat of paint to enhance the overall ambiance. Despite these areas for improvement, the quality of the rooms makes it a worthwhile stay.

The coffee was great, the breakfast was pretty basic, just toast, cereals, some small danishes or micro muffins, jam, butter, milk , tea coffee and orange juice. As fruit there were only some sad tiny apples. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, very good water pressure, excellent Wi-Fi. 30 in fridge without freezer. Microwave and coffee machine. Great location few minutes walk to the steps that lead to the beach. They are steep! Few minutes from restaurants or Pannikin cafe.

Normally I never leave reviews on here, however this was one of the absolute best experiences I have ever had with a budget hotel! The room was super clean and so was the area around the hotel. The location is perfect with convenient on-site parking. You are 5 mins from downtown Oceanside, however you won’t need to venture even that far if you don’t want to, there’s a private beach access path that leads to a small shopping center on the harbor and a small peninsula with a super quiet beach that not a lot of people know is there. To top it all off the pool/jaccuzi area overlooks the beach! Great area to watch the sunset. The staff was super attentive and friendly. I will go out of my way to stay here again, and am planning my next trip already! Probably one of the best budget hotels in Southern California. Nothing but positive things to say about this property!

We arrived on Friday 9/5 checked out Sunday 9/7 The gentleman who checked us in was prompt and friendly Upon entering our room it was fresh and clean. The bed was super comfortable and enjoyed having the extra pillows provided. Extra nice was the larger size mini fridge and microwave. Made it easy to reheat leftovers from local restaurants. The shower provided good stream of water and was pleasantly surprised to find shampoo, conditioner and body wash in pumps inside shower Next to the sink there was hand washing soap and moisturizer lotion in pump The continental breakfast provided coffee, juices, Danish, cereal, toast with individual packs of butter and peanut butter. Highly recommend this Days Inn

My husband come down every August for the Oceanside Longboard Surfing contest at the Municipal Pier, we've stayed at just about every "budget motel/hotel" in Oceanside over the past several years and I think this was one of my favorites so far. Check in and check out was smooth and fast. Very sweet women working the front desk. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was super comfy, good water pressure in the shower and great A/C! The location is convenient, just above the Harbor and you can walk down to the restaurants if you want to. They have a cute little pool area, vending machines and a patio to have your coffee on if you like. They serve a complimentary Continental breakfast as well, which we really enjoyed. I'm pretty sure we'll be staying here again next year!

The room was clean. The facilities were updated. Coffee maker had a variety of hot drinks available. Ice bucket had a bag. fridge was clean. Bed was comfortable. Desk had plenty of outlets to plug in electronics. We enjoyed the view and the 10-minute walk to the ocean. The place smelled clean, because no smoking was allowed. The bathroom floors were heated. The staff was very accommodating when I asked for a downstair room and an ocean view. It did cost $20 more for the view. Denny's and Del Toco was close for meals & snacks. We had a good time.

Had a nice one week vacation late April. The location is great! The service is good! With the screen door closed, can hear the waves crashing all day and all night, which is great for the soul! I would come back if only to hear the waves. There's a lot to take in nearby with the pier, and the variety of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed dining in to with practical kitchen in the condo suite. We were well informed about Covid limitations on the jacuzzi, which is about the only amenity we found on property. Still we enjoyed our 30 minutes daily hot tub and margarita (tumbler and blender provided) w rooftop ocean view. Took the 2 hour whale watching adventure out of the beautiful harbor just a few minutes north of the property. Lots of construction on the streets nearby and limited parking (actually very tight too). All in all, even with the distractions of construction, limited parking, this location, comfortable suite, comfortable bed, and the waves crashing made for a nice vacation..

The location was perfect, with stunning views and just a short walk to nearby restaurants. Falling asleep and waking up to the soothing sound of the ocean was a dream. The unit was surprisingly spacious and spotless, equipped with everything you need…just pack your clothes and a toothbrush! The front desk staff was exceptional, friendly, and helpful. I can’t wait to return! Skip the big hotels in the area; this gem is far superior!

So much fun for kids and kids at heart! If you’re visiting Legoland, you cannot beat the location. Pool is fun and the outdoor playground and movie screen is great. The room was cool- the kids loved their sleeping area and the treasure hunt. The breakfast buffet, though crowded, was awesome, amazing selection of food. The staff was super helpful, especially the valet.

Great for kids & families, lots to do, love the free buffet breakfast. Restaurants were tasty, but could use more variety. Room was nice and overall clean. Public areas were very clean and appreciate the routine bathroom maintenance. All the staff was great and they all looked like they genuinely enjoyed their job and being there with the kids.

We stayed at the Legoland Hotel with the pirate theme. Loved the theme, the pirate ship, etc to play with Legos in the lobby, the dancing music and lights in the elevators, and all of the walls, hallways and restaurants were decorated with big Lego figures and scenes. Our room was decorated with all pirate things...some painted and some out of Legos. There was a Treasure Hunt for the kids in the room where they got 2 mini figs, and a box of Legos they could play with. The free breakfast buffets were phenomenal at Bricks and Dragons Den, and the food for dinner was delicious (we ate at the Castle hotel's Dragons Den). We loved the entertainment shows in the lobby where 2 "pirates" were performing and engaging the kids, and the Kid's Disco Party where there was a DJ, lighted floor and dancing lights. Best family friendly vacation..."Everything is Awesome"!

Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room fit our family perfectly, and the hotel was family friendly. There was an issue with the A/C, but they took great care of us. They sent a repairman to fix it right away and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Eddie, the front office manager, Victor, and Jessica were especially helpful and nice. Breakfast at Holiday Inn was delicious. The hotel is very close to the beach and Legoland. My kids had fun in the pool and Spa. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Holiday Inn Oceanside is a wonderful hotel. We've stayed there several times, and every visit has been perfect! The hotel is quiet and clean. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The beds and pillows are comfortable, as well. Black out shades, a refrigerator, microwave, workout room, laundry facilities, pool, free and convenient on site parking are just a few of its many amenities. Customer service is exceptional. The staff are warm and personable, considerate and accommodating.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property has a nice pool and jacuzzi. They have a couple fire pit areas for evenings. They offer s’mores kits for a nominal cost. The property has a near to the Carlsbad Outlets and several dining options. Also, close to South Carlsbad State Beach. This was my 2nd stay there.

Property is awesome! Rooms are comfortable and there’s a lap pool/jacuzzi and multiple fire pits to hang by. There’s a path to walk above the flower farm when it is blooming. You can call a driver for tip only to take you into town and pick you up. We’ve stayed twice and enjoyed it. Food is a bit pricy but really good! The only negative is that they kill you on the added BS charges- like resort fees etc.

We had a fantastic stay near Carlsbad Village. The location is excellent just minutes from the beach, restaurants, shops, and the train station. It’s in a quiet neighborhood that’s also very bike-friendly. We brought our e-MTBs and absolutely loved how easy it was to get around. Riding along the coast and through the village was one of the highlights of our trip. The rental itself was clean, cozy, and had all the essentials we needed. The bed was comfortable, the space was well-kept, and there were thoughtful touches throughout like extra towels, and fast Wi-Fi. We also appreciated the ease of parking. This is a great place for couples or solo travelers looking for a relaxed, comfortable stay in Carlsbad. The combination of walkability, access to bike trails, and the peaceful setting made it a perfect base for our beachside getaway. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or a longer stay, we highly recommend this spot especially if you enjoy exploring on two wheels. We’d definitely book again next time we’re in town.

We have stayed here the last several times we’ve visited Carlsbad and have always been pleased. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the hotel is very clean. They greet us every time we walk through the front door and say goodbye when we leave. The breakfast is very good and there is always coffee and tea available after breakfast. On our last trip, Tomasa from housekeeping made our day! She was so pleasant and friendly and happily went out of her way to provide us with what we needed. We travel extensively and this hotel’s staff is some of the best!

The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. Lobby was clean and very nice. I had reserved a king suite and it was extremely nice. We had our 5 year old son with us and he had his own space in the couch with his tv and we sat on the bed watching our tv. I also like that the tv had Netflix on it and we just needed to sign in. Bathroom was up to date and clean, bed was comfortable as well. Breakfast was good. Your coffee is really good!

The check in with Debbie was fast and courteous a nice beginning to a 5 star stay. We will return to Fairfield Carlsbad the area was clean quiet safe and secure. The breakfast and July were a pleasant way to start our day. The indoor fireplace was cozy and comforting while we ate our breakfast watched the telli and drank hot cocoa. If we return to Carlsbad this will be our hotel of choice.

Very clean, excellent location for our trip to Legoland. Wonderful hot breakfast and friendly staff. Fridge & microwave in the room is fantastic, always a win in my book. Room was clean, water hot, and bathroom includes shower and bath. Shampoo/body wash smells great. The only thing missing would be an in-room safe (unless we missed it, couldn't find it if it was there). Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 5 enjoyed a giant room that had a separate living room and bedroom, and a large spacious bathroom. Outdoor area is pretty cool with fire pit and cornhole area but didn't get to enjoy because we stayed only 1 night. Room was clean, spacious and lots of counter space and endless storage space. A large tv in each room. Plenty of towels! Very soft bed sheets Great view out the large windows. Large of charging ports and lightingWe stayed at other Hilton chains and another Home2Suites during our roadmap and this one as the best! Only thing is Netflix didn’t work well in bedroom space (log out and restart) and breakfast was pretty basic comparatively but had all what you expect for continental breakfast.

I love this place. I really didn't expect a full kitchen and such a friendly staff. I love the full spread breakfast. Oatmeal waffles eggs. I love the rainforest free trade coffee. I love there's orange infused water 24 hours. The bed was so comfortable I slept 11 hours the first night after a long flight. I highly recommend this hotel. It's very convenient to order pizza at night. We drove to Temecula and went to the cave winery. We drove to knotts berry farm. We drove to san Diego boat show. I got the Stay free with aspire hilton amex. Great place. The staff has been so helpful. They're so nice.

This property is such a great home base for a trip to Legoland. We love the room setup with the kitchenette. It makes it so convenient to prep snacks for the kids. It’s so nice to have breakfast taken care of at the hotel before heading to the park. The staff does a great job, everyone is friendly, the property is clean and it’s quiet at night. I really enjoyed this hotel and it's in an amazing location. We did a one night staycation here so that we could be in a spot that's walkable to a great beach right across the street. It's also walkable to the Carlsbad Village. There is so many restaurants and things to do in this area. Our room was spacious and had two queen beds with the living room area, microwave, mini refrigerator, and everything seemed upgraded or renovated. We were on the first floor close to the gym and the lobby, which was convenient. We slept really well. The only downside to the room is there is a sliding bathroom door that doesn't seem to close all the way so if you're using the toilet and someone walks by, they could see everything. The breakfast in the lobby was your usual hotel breakfast, but I appreciated the offerings, such as waffles, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, etc. Tower 39 is a must stop if you are staying here because it has amazing views of the ocean and it's a fun hangout spot with food and all kinds of drinks around fire pits. If you do stay here with a car, parking is $20 a night.

I stayed here for a quick getaway. IMO this is the place to stay. The beach is across the street and can walk everywhere within Carlsbad Village. I was upgraded due to my Marriott status and my room had an ocean view. The rooms are tastefully done, and the bed is so comfy. There is a microwave and mini fridge. They have a decent breakfast. I really like the breakfast quiches and there is plenty of fresh fruit, apples/bananas/oranges. Plenty of seating and super clean. Everything in this hotel was extremely clean and smelled fresh. Upon check-in I was given freshly made sangria. SCORE!!! Brennan and Darrel were delightful, extremely friendly and efficient. They were a pleasure to chat with and had plenty of recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You must go up to the rooftop lounge Tower 29 to have happy hour and watch the sunset. There are firepits and plenty of seating. They also have a full menu. My HH pretzel bites were the bomb and a huge portion. The rooftop is a true gem. Housekeeping was gracious and friendly. I asked Antonio for extra towels and water, and he brought them to my room. I truly had a wonderful stay. I was sad to leave. Parking is in the garage and secure. It is 20 bucks, but I walked everywhere to explore and eat. I highly recommend staying here and will be definitely returning.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Carlsbad from 10 to 13 September 2025 and had a most wonderful stay! The Hotel was very clean, neat and well organized with a great security system in place that never encroached on normal activities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and exhibited a very caring and concerning attitude towards its patrons. The beautiful Carlsbad beach was only a very short walk away with a great walking path (take the upper one to catch a great ocean breeze) and hotel provides beach chairs and towels if you would like to spend the day soaking up the sun. Mornings on the outside patio at SpringHill suites is a great place to start the day with family and friends with a very nice variety of breakfast items. There is a roof top restaurant and bar associated with the hotel that is a great place to “Wine Down the Day” enjoy the evening sunsets over the Pacific. The town of Carlsbad shopping district is an equally close walk with a variety of excellent eating establishments and small and diverse shops that can make browsing for the perfect take home gift fun. Rent an electric bike to tour the town or hop the inexpensive local train for a fun and relaxing tour of the California Coastline. We really enjoyed our stay at the Carlsbad SpringHill Suites and highly recommend staying there when visiting the area.

I needed a quick getaway from the Palm Springs heat and booked a last-minute stay at SpringHill Suites in Carlsbad. Kurt checked me in and was super friendly, gave me a rundown of the property, with Daniel there to assist since he was fairly new. Although the room was nice and clean, the view wasn't the greatest, so I stopped by the front to see about possibly getting a better view since it was a weekday and I was only staying two nights. Daniel was able to get me a front, ocean-facing room, which was a very nice surprise. The view was great, I really enjoyed waking up to the sight of the ocean. The room itself was spacious and felt recently renovated. The bed was comfortable, and while the pillows weren't quite my style, that's just a personal thing. Free breakfast was offered in the morning, it was simple, but I enjoyed it. I also want to mention Sarah at the front desk who kindly helped me with a new key when I forgot mine. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Great little escape, and I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I come here every year for a quick 3–4 day beach staycation, and it never disappoints. The location is perfect, right across the street from the beach and an easy walk to some amazing restaurants in Carlsbad Village. As usual, the service was top-notch. Super friendly staff, and they (shout out to Josh) even upgraded our room to an ocean view, which was a great surprise. The room was super clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. We love how easy everything is here. Park the car, check in, and you really don’t have to go far to enjoy great food, the local shops and beach time. Already looking forward to next year’s trip!

My husband and I were both amazed by this hotel. We watched it being built while we lived in CA and couldn’t wait to stay here. The area is our old stomping grounds, so we’re familiar with the area and love to visit. The decor is breathtaking. It’s clean and well maintained, inside and out. Our room was comfortable and well stocked. We liked the layout. It was spacious for a queen room with 2 queen beds. The staff were over the top helpful and available whenever we needed something. We appreciated the valet parking and are glad we didn’t have to park outside overnight. Beach access and Location is perfect! Being able to walk to the beach and pier was amazing! Being right near the Top Gun house is so cool!! Also, having restrooms, beach showers and a playground across the street was so convenient while traveling with a child. Having the rambler available for guests is next level. Now we know we don’t have to travel from out of state with extra things, like beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards or towels. Our favorite restaurants are within walking distance. The roof top pool took the cake. The views were stunning. We didn’t experience the bar this time, but I can’t wait to utilize this and other amenities next time! I’m amazed by everything with this hotel. We cannot wait to stay again next year! It’s our new annual staycation.

Stayed 3 nights for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint. Service by every staff member was on point! Opening doors, smiling, friendly always attentive and wanting to help in any way. Location is amazing - literally right across the street from the beach! Walkable to so many restaurants in the area as well. Hotel is newer and beautiful and upscale. Breakfast was across the street at The Seabird - a sister hotel. We had the choice of either the Shelter Club ($40) or the Piper buffet ($52). We did the Shelter Club the first morning and it was nothing more than a scaled down breakfast buffet you'd get at a Hyatt Place/House. We went to the Piper the other two mornings. The breakfast buffet at the Piper seemed a little overpriced for what was offered, and the price didn't even include any juice. The resort fee is $54 and includes beach chairs, umbrella and towels right on the beach. The chairs are nice, umbrellas big and they set it up for you. Definitely take advantage of this! The resort fee also has "use of hotel bicycles" listed as included, but this is a little misleading. It's really 20% a bike rental at the hotel shop. Despite these small issues, our stay was amazing. Just wanted to give honest feedback so others aren't surprised. Would totally stay there again. The Seabird across the street seems to cater more to families and Mission Pacific to couples.

The hotel staff and amenities were amazing. This hotel and its sister hotel Sea Bird are perfect for adults and kids. The Mission Pacific is sophisticated and perfect for cocktails by the pool. The Sea Bird is fun, yet still luxurious and fun for kids at the pool and rec-room. It’s awesome having access to both properties during your stay. We ate at restaurants at both hotels and had amazing service and meals. I’m planning another family trip with the kids and a separate trip with the girls. Being able to walk to the beach, playground and afternoon Farmer’s Market made the trip amazing. We’ve stayed at many Hyatt’s and this is the very best!

And nice to have all the dishes and kitchen items all there for ya. Small complaint: The floors were super dirty not sure if they forgot to clean them that day or what but unfortunately our feet were constantly black and our socks too and with little ones it was a pain to constantly have to clean their feet after them taking a shower. But everything else was clean and nicely set up

What I liked about this property was that it was extremely close to the beach, it was beautiful, trendy and comfortable. It felt like a cozy Airbnb style boutique hotel, except without dealing with Airbnb lol. I liked that I didn’t have to talk to anyone when checking in, you just type in your security code and the room is clean and waiting for you. The room smelled clean as well. The AC worked great which we liked. I had read previous reviews that the walls were thin, so we just brought our fan from home which is loud and we didn’t hear a thing. They had a lot of beach chairs for use, and if you have children, I saw a huge tote of beach toys. They have a coffee stand that comes on Saturday mornings as well - we didn’t try it but it smelled good! One of my favorite part of the stay was coming out of my room (#203) and just hearing/seeing the ocean right there! This place is a gem and I can’t wait to come back, and tell friends about it as well.

Fantastic location, right on the beach. Nice deck to watch waves, traffic and people. All you need is a towel to go to the beach, the rooms have a code so a key is not needed. The hotel also offered beach chairs, children's toys and boogie/surf boards. Parking at the hotel is for smaller vehicles but I was able to park my pickup on the next street up and use the back entrance to the property. I was always able to find a space. The room was very clean and the kitchenette was much appreciated. This was a fantastic vacation due to this hotel. Our grandkids wound up swimming a bunch due to the ez beach access, the pier is also close by. The restaurants and bars in Oceanside were a quick walk away, driving was not necessary.

This quaint holiday rentals was very clean, convenient, comfortable. The unit I rented was for 2 days, it was a studio with a small kitchen area which came with everything, toaster, pots, pans, plates, coffee Keurig, microwave, small refrigerator, 2 unit electric stove and a garage. It was on the beach literally 25 feet away from the water. Walking distance from food, fishing, stores. I definitely will be returning here, it also has a convenient deck that you share a Bar BQ with other guests, who were all very kind. You don’t need a key to have access to your room a code they give you, easy friendly rental.

We had such a wonderful experience at this property! It was super modern, spotless, and really well taken care of. The location was absolutely perfect, just steps away from the beautiful beach, and the ocean views were beyond incredible! We loved being able to stroll around to find food, coffee, or drinks—everything we needed was right nearby. I can't express how convenient it was! The gorgeous view of the sea really made our stay special.

First time for me staying at this property and many positive things to say about the stay. First, Delaney is a delight and to be honest in my travels one of the most personal and attentive front desk operators ever! I found out her main gig is at the Hyatt Four Seasons Aviara in the Sales and Meetings department. So, back to my stay this property is a hidden gem, rates were below other properties so I was intially skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Rooms are newly renovated with modern wiring plenty of usb's to work from your room. Rooms are a bit tight however and very small bathrooms. I also would suggest to management to install sliding bathroom doors because when the door is open you can't access the clothes closet behind it. Like most Courtyards it is a decent property for a short stay with the Bistro by Starbucks being the only restaurant on property. Pool was clean and heated however no Jacuzzi and this is a deal killer for me. I asked about why they took the Jacuzzi out and the reason given was that it was going to be too expensive to procide handicap lift. Lastlly, this hotel caters to and is perfectly situated among the Golf Mfg. in the area so it was disappointing not to have the Golf Channel in the live TV lineup. If they got a jacuzzi and added the Golf Channel I would stay there again especially to say hi to Delaney again.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Carlsbad for a corporate trip and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for business travelers, with fast Wi-Fi, ample desk space, and a quiet environment perfect for productivity. The front desk team was always available and went out of their way to ensure everything was just right. We also utilized the meeting space for a small off-site and it was perfect! Clean, well set up, and supported by excellent staff service. A special thank you to the sales team for being so responsive and easy to work with throughout the booking process. This hotel truly understands the needs of corporate travelers, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to my colleagues. Highly recommended for any business group visiting the area!

I loved our stay here. Our room was clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. I love the duvet they used on the beds. The pull out couch bed worked great for my daughter, but it needed a fitted sheet. Luckily, I had one with me. Bathroom had a shower, but no bathtub. That was just fine for us! Shower was huge and clean. The cafe/restaurant has good coffee for mornings. We swam in the pool and the evening vibe was chill. The drive to Legoland is super easy from this hotel. I would stay here again!

Stayed 5 nights. Excellent value for money. Especially enjoyed the hot breakfasts! Pool and jacuzzi were excellent. Easy location to reach from motorway and handy for going to the outlet centre just a couple of miles away. Ideal for going up to Carlsbad town centre and Oceanside or back down to San Diego. Also has a Coaster train station in walking distance, Carlsbad Poinsettia, which takes you down to Old Town, San Diego among other places. Handy if you don't want to drive.

Loved the arrangement of room with full kitchen and bar sitting, with couch and tv in one room while bed with a tv and bathroom in the other room. The pool and hot tub area was fantastic. They were both outside and it was beautiful. Everywhere, inside and out was very clean. The front staff was so very friendly. The morning breakfast staff woman could have been a bit nicer with clients. It was by an interstate but inside the room you could not tell, it was so quiet. The bed was so comfy. Great area to explore. The beach was within a few minutes drive and it was amazing also. It was clean, and there was a facility to wash off your feet when done walking in the sand. The people we met in the hotel and beach were so very friendly. We were told it is one of the best areas to stay in, and did not need to worry about having our car broken in to. We felt very safe and secure everywhere we went in Carlsbad. We are already planning another trip in the future to spend more time next time and bring out our son, this was a couple get away and it was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

The location is great with quick access to the beach and nearby restaurants, the staff was very friendly and helpful, a decent amount of choices for breakfast was included. Our room was clean except for the bathroom floors which still had sand from previous guests, the "ocean view" was from ground level with the busy road blocking the sand and waves, and grounds maintenance started at 7am on Friday morning with chainsaws and blowers. It may have been a neighboring property, but coffee with the sounds of waves was not an option. I was disappointed I didn't get the ocean experience I had hoped for.

The hotel is in a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in a room that had a view of the ocean. The room was spacious and clean and it was easily walkable to different restaurants and the beach. Thanks to the staff for a pleasant stay!

The facility was very nice, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff (from receptionist to the housekeeping) were very professional with a positive attitude, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to their guests. Great location away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Oceanside. Plenty of restaurants nearby and would not hesitate to stay here again

Nice modern hotel, seems quite new or recently renovated. Staff helpful and rooms very nice and clean with modern decor. Hotel is by a busy road though not a freeway it was still quite noisy. Unfortunately we learned at check in the pool was closed for maintenance but the staff said we were able to use the pool at the Residence Inn, a block away which we did. As a Titanium member there was no complimentary water or anything offered. We chose to take the $10 pp food credit instead of extra points. The bistro staff were lovely and Lesley made a great Cobb Salad but as other reviewers said the prices really are outrageous. $5+ for a small coffee, $14 for avocado on one piece of toast. I’ll go points next time. As per all Courtyard properties there is normally only housekeeping every third day. As we had booked two nights we did not expect any housekeeping. On returning the second day we found housekeeping had been in and emptied rubbish and provided new towels. No beds made. Would have been nice to have been advised at check in that in fact housekeeping is in fact daily.

I stayed just one weeknight in early December, which I guess is off season and it wasn't busy. I had a very nice stay here. The room was well-appointed, comfortable and quiet. The staff were all very nice. I had both a hot dinner and a hot breakfast at the cafe and it was much better than expected. It looks like an unassuming hotel coffee bar but the kitchen produces really high-quality food. Lovely people making and serving it.

The clerk that checked me in said it best, ‘lots of folks look down by the water but the savvy travelers usually end up here.’ Exceptionally clean and comfortable hotel with excellent service and a universally friendly and knowledgeable front desk team. On day one, the front desk went out of their way to get me coffee when the cafe was closed- several good dining recommendations and always a friendly greeting on the way in and out. Very well located, $12-15 Uber to the Strand and with competitive rates for a very pricy area. If you have any memberships or discounts, you won’t find a better price without dropping down a tier in quality. Our son now lives in the area and this could be our go to.

I loved the jacuzzi in my room and in the pool area . I was able to enjoy the sunset at poolside and it was amazing you got a clear view . I didn’t lift a finger checking in , it was great!

The property had everything you could want, large rooms, huge jacuzzi bath, hot tub and pool overlooking the ocean, sauna, huge gym, and included parking… plus it’s walkable to the beach!

First time staying in Oceanside. The location is very nice. We arrived mid day, and the room was ready. We also got late check out, and since we were not owners at this timeshare, we were able to park across the hotel at an open parking lot for $5 a day. We got our key wristbands from Concierge and, of course, offered us gifts deals ( timeshare sales rep) We nicely refused, and the rep wasn't pushy. The lobby was nice and comfortable. Had stacked fridges of snacks and drinks (non alcoholic). Self-serve scan and go pay kiosk. Very convenient. The 1 bedroom room on the 3rd floor was super clean, no weird smells, no dust, a balcony, partial ocean pier, and pool view. Spacious plenty of room for two people fully equipped as a furnished apartment. Had a washer and dryer, vacuum, and full kitchen with all the necessities. Central air-conditioned, freshly painted walls, curtains looked as new. The king-sized bed was comfortable, with very clean bedding. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub with a shower that had shampoo and conditioner, body wash bottles wall mounted. Towels were super clean and not old. The furniture was acceptable, but I would like to see an upgrade in the future as well as the carpet (was clean but old-fashioned). Queen sofa bed super heavy and needs upgrade. Things to do were walking distant to downtown, pier, beach, and other neighboring hotels. The harbor 5 minutes drive and many options of restaurants to choose from. I recommend Joe's Crab Shack.

We traveled with another couple, and we all loved the two-bedroom room with an ocean front view. It was clean and comfortable. The view was amazing. The area around the resort was delightful. Fantastic restauarants and the beach within easy walking distance. Sales booking team pressure was high, but we decided to go for the dinner comps at an amazing restaurant in the same building. It was worth it! The actual sales person was pleasant and willing to let us go after the required amount of time at the "information update"; we actually learned some things we didn't know regarding our ownership too. As a reminder to other travelers: when you book 'ocean view' it just means you can see it from your room at some point. 'Ocean front' means your room is facing the ocean with a full view. Happy travels!

The staff is very professional and personable. I absolutely loved our Villa, we had a picturesque view, sunsets were amazing and we overlooked the lagoon. I loved our stay, it was truly amazing!

We have a wonderful stay with the Four Seasons! Everything is top notch. The customer service is tremendous! The facility was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with the best quality sheets and pillows! The Restaurant is great! We loved everything we ate. The food was delicious! One of the best things was how dog friendly they are. They have a large Bark Park, and very clean!

Staff = Very friendly and accommodating. Room = very classy and very clean. Parking = Plenty of parking in front of each villa. Noise = Very quiet Location = Not bad but not great. Grounds look nice but the Hyatt is “Literally” right in the middle of the property. We had to check in at the main office, drive down the hill, pass the Hyatt and then find our room. View = If you get the right room, it’s not bad. Our room, unfortunately, looked over the main road and was blocked by a giant tree. Food = Pricy but very good. We were seated in the main restraint but was too loud to talk, we asked to be moved onto the patio and were seated at a private fire pit, much better after that. Amenities = Pool/Spa was great, plenty of towels, not too crowded and bar service is available pool side. The offsite (away from main building) area we were placed at had a clubhouse with a pool table, TV, fireplace and a kids playroom.

Such a lovely, relaxing property. The rooms are perfect, the facilities are great, Seasons restaurant is delicious, and the staff are wonderful. This was our second time here and we will come again when we need some R & R.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Also, very clean. You could smell pleasant aromas just walking into the hotel. Greeted by wonderful staff that were pleasant and helpful throughout my trip. Noise doesn't bug me much but my room was right off high traffic. It would have been nice to open the windows at night. Although there was a small pool, I did not use it and only saw it used by one couple. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, that is not surprising. Breakfast was not a continental breakfast I am used to but there was coffee and a packaged pastry available.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Plenty of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Morning coffee was good. All staff friendly and welcoming. Felt completely safe there.

I have tried Days Inn 2x, once in Las Cruces, New Mexico and the other in Carlsbad, California. And I have been very satisfied with regards to both stays Focusing on Days Inn Carlsbad: The place is clean and my family had a comfortable stay. I felt safe in this hotel considering that we are in CA. Their non-smoking bedrooms with 2 queen size beds are truly clean. We did not smell any unnecessary odor in the hallway especially in the rooms. The pillows are need and very soft. The bed is comfy to sleep on. I really appreciate that there are 4 pillows in each of the (queen-sized) beds in our room. The room itself is spacious enough unlike other motels/hotels we went to. The price is reasonable for its location.

My stay was absolutely wonderful. My room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It’s in a safe area and safe for a family. It was also close to a Vons, a restaurant and three gas stations. Everything you need just around the corner.

The breakfast is small but good - a tasty fresh juice, coffee and muffins. There is a sundeck at the top of the Hotel with a fantastic view; a great place to hang out and enjoy the sunset. The location is perfect - it is just some steps away from a nice beach and from good seafood restaurants. The Hotel offers towels, beach-chairs and umbrellas for free - an excellent service so that we could enjoy two days at the beach. I highly recommend staying at the Cardiff by the Sea Lodge!

I had another fantastic experience at Cardiff Lodge last week. I went with my daughter and we stayed four nights and we had the ocean view King room. The room is so comfortable. They include all the things that you’d want including a robe. Great shower amenities a super clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. I love the record player and an abundance of albums to choose from in the reception area. They’re so accommodating and go the extra mile any questions that I had. I love the coffee in the morning and the choice of juices. A short walk to the beach only two blocks. It’s right across the street from a great little coffee shop and steps away fromterrific restaurants and great lunch and breakfast and dinner places. The customer service is five star. I highly recommend. We loved our stay. We will return in a couple months.

The room was lovely. The bed was super comfortable… Enough to call the manager to see what brand it is. Everything was clean and felt like new. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The rooftop was an amazing touch and nicely decorated with plenty of tables and hanging basket chairs. We brought in drinks then sat and enjoyed the sunset over an expansive view of the Ocean. we loved that it was a quick and easy walk to the beach, and the location is sweet and low-key. The nicest surprise was the delicious fresh ginger and fresh carrot juice served at breakfast, and yummy muffins… The coffee was really good too.

Staff was friendly and welcoming from check in to check out. The light breakfast (muffin & fresh pressed juice) was a lovely touch. You can sign out nice beach chairs and towels too which was convenient! Beds and pillows are comfy, linens clean and fresh. Older hotel that’s been recently renovated - only negative is the slow drain in the sink & toilet. Would stay again for sure.

The place is very cute, rooms are roomy with very stylish furniture and comfortable bed. The staff is super friendly and helpful from the front desk attendant to the cleaning staff everyone was very nice. The place feels very personable. I have to say the front desk is located in a room surrounded by big windows with excellent view of the ocean, great coffee maker that grinds the coffee beans and a comfy seating area where you can enjoy your coffee and breakfasts which consists of a natural juice (amazing choices loved the green and the carrot turmeric one) and a muffin. Loved the place dream of coming back ❤️

The desk clerk was very nice and helpful as we checked in. Since it was our first stay, we would have liked knowing we could text the resort with questions or concerns. Instead I called the front desk. A light bulb needed changing. I called and it was changed while we were gone with a chocolate hammer left! Appreciated that. Our room is in The Cove area and has a decent sized refrigerator and microwave and large coffee maker with two large bags that would work for 8 cups. The bed and linens were great. Our end unit stayed cool until late afternoon without air conditioning. The bathroom was large. Wish there was a handle on the wall in the bath/shower for safety purposes, especially for us seniors. Our room faces the adult pool that was quite beautiful at night and nice and large to swim in. There are many adjustable lounges throughout the pool area as well as fire pits, a jacuzzi, and cabanas as well as hammocks. A large pool with a slide for children is a short distance away. Beside the adult pool is a bar serving adult beverages and a short list of food. I had a Caesar salad with chicken the first night that was quite good. Daily activities are optional, listed on boards throughout the resort. We received a list of area restaurants and a card good for 10-20% off of bills for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Many are located in the quaint downtown area of Carlsbad right above the ocean. It was fun to explore! We would gladly return to the MarBrisa Hilton resort.

Our first (but not our last) time, albeit, short at the MarBrisa was exceptional! We have stayed at other HGV properties that were nice, however the MarBrisa exceeded our expectations in every way. From the accommodations, to the multiple pools and jacuzzis, and in particular the staff we interacted with. Dmitri I. at the front desk was so welcoming and understanding to our individual needs for our family. Kevin R. also was able to jump in and fix the mistake we made in our reservation. Our room was exceptionally well appointed and very clean. The pools were crystal clean and heated. But truly the staff at MarBrisa represents the Hilton Brand in such a positive way. The Legoland private entrance is absolutely, such a terrific benefit and so very convenient. We can hardly wait to stay at MarBrisa again. Thank you Kevin , so much for helping us with our reservation. Thank you Dmitri for your expertise and kindness. Thank you to the housekeepers who made sure our room was pleasant, clean, in good standing. Thank you to the grounds keepers and pool staff who maintain this property. Customer service excellent and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Brandon at front desk and both women at the concierge were fantastic! The location was close to Carlsbad village for restaurants and bars/nightlife. The pool area was clean and children friendly for families. But also as a single traveler it was not obnoxiously crowded with children screaming. There were 2 separate pool areas by The Cove. Small bar with quick food service was nice.

Beautiful, huge resort, clean and comfortable room, and very friendly, helpful staff. We loved the private entrance to Legoland, it was an easy walk and only took a couple min. Close to restaurants, Carlsbad outlet, and the beach. We also appreciated that they were not pushy about doing the timeshare presentation. We will stay here every time we go to Legoland.

Our room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was in a good area, closest to the Harbor, and the pier was about 1 mile away. Their sign is not that noticeable. The Hotel is directly across the street from the Welcome Center. Parking is behind the hotel. Cell service is spotty in the beach area, make sure you enter directions to the hotel before getting close to the beach. The Hotel has free wifi. Bookings needs to update the hotel description. This hotel does not serve breakfast.

The location was great. Easy walk to the beach and Harbor or to down town. It didn’t have a pool or gym but it was perfect for the price. It had a spacious room with microwave and fridge and kitchen sink. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. It was air conditioned as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful will definitely stay there again.

The good : The night employee was super sweet and nice. He explained all the details despite myself being a bit tired from travel and he just has an overall positive attitude and energy. The parking lot is small but we never had a hard time finding a space. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. I was also pleased by the cable TV because it had ALL the channels which was nice to relax after a day at the beach. There’s also a laundry facility where you can wash your clothes for $3/load. The location is super close to the beach and other restaurants and activities. The bad : The day shift front desk wasn’t as friendly and wasn’t very accommodating. There’s also a $200 deposit which can take up to 5 days to return to you - which I think is an important detail to advertise. Our room was on the first floor, which was accessible but loud. And the window opens to the parking driveway which meant we felt uncomfortable opening the curtain ever because guests could look in. The bed is covered in plastic. Great for sanitary reasons but it was so annoying to sleep on. It was also a very firm mattress but it got the job done for the night. The laundry is a great convenience but the day shift hotel staff was unable to give me any quarters and they do not have a quarter machine. The vending machines were also broken. Overall, for the price I would stay here again, this is just info I would like before I choose a place as well.

I booked a room here for a solo weekend trip to visit my son who is currently stationed at Camp Pendleton. I was very nervous after seeing the reviews. People seemed to either love it or hate it. I am happy with my experience there. Is it luxurious? No. But that’s not what I was looking for. I was looking for affordable and comfortable and this was both. Room was clean, staff was friendly and I felt safe. The deposit was no big deal. I paid $200 in cash at checkin and received $200 in cash at checkout. Took about 2 minutes to get checked out. It is conveniently located near where the shuttle dropped my son off, which made it so easy to meet up with him. The room had everything I needed - coffeemaker/coffee, hairdryer, fridge, sink, etc. Other visitors were families, couples, of all ages. Everyone I met was pleasant. I have no complaints and would recommend this hotel for a budget-friendly choice in Oceanside.

I was evacuating my home in LA due to the fires. The hotel was affordable and a safe place to escape with my fur babies on short notice. The manager made an exception to their pet policy for me which they will never know how much this meant to me. I was scared and had no where else to go. Waking up this morning I did not know if I had a home any longer. Luckily, i did. I’ll forever be grateful to the staff and management here! The place was clean, comfortable, quiet, and convenient. I’ll definitely be back. Hopefully under more fun circumstances!

Beautiful property. Amenities provided in the resort fee were neat but I'm not sure if the cost is worth it if you don't utilize the amenities. So in other words, use them. The spring weather wasn't the brightest to use the paddle boards or kayaks. It didn't appear anybody was out there. So it's okay. The graham crackers in our smores kit were cracked. It would be helpful to have paper plates/bowls handy to keep it clean or even a little aluminum pan- you can melt the chocolate and use the cracked graham crackers to dip. The gym is a bit run down but was sufficient to get an indoor circuit in. Pickleball/tennis courts were clean and had no trouble getting the rentals/court reserved to play at the lodge. Same with the bicycles up front in the lobby or the basket of golf balls at the driving range- had no trouble enjoying those amenities. Main pools were nice and the towel dispenser was neat. I stayed in a Lake view room with balcony. There was a nice tea light candle provided on a table near the sliding door. I think some citronella oils would be nice to provide or have out on the balconies in tiki torches or something. Overall, a nice, comfortable stay. Good location, not far from shops or other restaurants/coffee shops or movie theater.

Perfect weekend getaway. The view and room were fantastic. Room was clean. Staff were all incredibly friendly. Next door Italian restaurant was very good. The bar was lively and had live music on Saturday.

Such a nice find. Clean “boutique” feel resort. It was off the beaten path so it wasn’t so crowded yet the coast was only a 25 minute drive. The staff was very friendly, the lobby was recently renovated and the room was extremely comfortable.

A lovely spot to stay! The golf park is fantastic, and the restaurant serves delicious food. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I had a wonderful experience!

Customer service was beyond friendly and helpful. Such a beautiful clean resort, with super fun amenities. Will definitely stay again.

The location was quiet and local at the same time. The pool and jacuzzi were great for the kids. Breakfast was amazing with large variety.

Very delicious breakfast buffet. We stayed 3 nights. Safe area with lots of shopping nearby. Well lit parking lot. Clean and up to date accommodations, Friendly staff, nice pool area. Didn’t realize we were re so close to the airport until we were outside the building. Visited marina & seals there as well as beach. Drove 30 min to San Diego to La Jolla cove to see more seals! Enjoyed local Carlsbad restaurants including Campfire. Would stay here again.

Our suite was very spacious. We had a living room and a full well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Clean room. Lots of parking and free of charge. Breakfast included was very good, lots of options of fresh food and good coffee. Friendly staff, easy to check-in.

Bed was comfortable. Hotel was very clean. Plenty of parking. Felt safe. Staff was polite. Very very basic continental breakfast eg. Coffee & granola bars, prepackaged muffins.

I stayed here for two nights. The pros: - The room was clean. - The staff were friendly. - Melanie was able to accommodate me with an early check in. (1:30pm) - Location was great as it was close to where I needed to be and also not too far from San Diego. The cons: - no hair dryer in the room. I called the front desk on each day and they mentioned they would need to find one but unfortunately after 2 nights I still did not receive a hair dryer - the lobby area and walkways have shown its age. You can see the wear and tear on the structures and there’s certain unpleasant smells in certain areas of the hotel. - nitpicking but breakfast was simply granola bars and packaged muffins That being said, you get what you pay for and I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be perfect. The cons did not ruin the experience of traveling to San Diego/San Marcos for me. I enjoyed my stay which is why this still deserves 5 stars.

Recently built hotel. Rooms are clean and in a minimalistic style. Kitchenette utensils as well as various bathroom amenities (shampoo, lotion) are provided upon request free of charge. Limited breakfast options (coffee, oatmeal packets, cereal bars) but affordable room rates. Will stay again when in this area.

It was very clean and modern. Comfy bed, nice shower with plenty of water pressure. Smelled like new and had a recliner and desk and even a kitchenette.

My family and I stayed here and it was great. The staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi and also the continental breakfast a great variety to choose from. I did appreciate the cleanliness around the property as well. The parking was also such a plus. If in the area we would definitely come back.

This was once a great looking hotel, but it needs some maintenance and general updating. It's seen better days.Great location, walking distance to the beach, but all uphill to walk back. I loved the balcony even though the "park view" was an exaggeration. I'd spring for the ocean view if I were you. Each room has a balcony which was pleasant. The bed was quite comfortable, but the shower had such little water pressure I could barely get all the soap out of my hair. Breakfast was adequate, but with all the great local eateries you're better off skipping it. I had a suite with a kitchenette, which was adequate but poorly lit. I felt safe there as a lone female traveler, but the security device on the door was broken. The screen door to the balcony was old and difficult to open and close. Overall, it was adequate but I wouldn't recommend it to the more discriminating traveler.

This hotel was pretty nice, and the person at the front desk was friendly. It is walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, and the train (just keep in mind that there are a lot of steep hills, so if you are out of shape, it would be difficult). It felt like a safe area, and I could see the ocean from my balcony. It is a very family friendly place, but I didn’t have children with me. It really didn’t feel like a place for an adult getaway. The room was pretty clean, and I did like the room. You can hear the train horn, and it is pretty loud, but I used white noise on my phone when I slept so it didn’t wake me up. Breakfast was just ok. Pictures are views of the ocean from my balcony.

We went to relax after our 2 day trip to Legoland. They have a great pool that is warm and a Jacuzzi 😌 a very beautiful tree by the pool. The personnel that works there are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived our tv didn't have signal and I called the front office and the gentleman that answered the phone got someone to put room promptly to get it fixed. 😃

The jacuzzi was still broke down and appeared as though there had been no progress towards the repair since my last stay. Other than that, this is an awesome goto place to get away. Amazing. This resort was kid friendly, clean and the condos in the villas were spacious. Parking was plentiful and walking distance to legoland as advertised. The resort had an activity center with various arts and crafts throughout the day and a spacious toddler area with small tables and building blocks. The arcade has enough variety to provide additional entertainment. When we were there, it rained so we were not anble to enjoy the pool, splash pad or the play structure but we will definitely go back for those. There is a hotel side and villa side that share the same lobby. The lobby has a coffee bar where they also serve breakfast food menu. They were short staffed the day we ate there and it did take awhile for our food.

The property is great for families. It has everything you need to stay with kids including a little activity center. A walk across the street to Legoland if that is a destination. Free and convenient parking. Beautiful views. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Rose checked us in and she was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. One major complaint that would keep us from staying again is that check in is 5 pm and check out is 10 am. Also, they don’t staff enough to have rooms cleaned or freshened up if you need. They actually have notices in the room stating there is not cleaning service on Saturday and Sunday.

This was my daughter’s 7th birthday weekend and I chose these hotel because it was the closest walk to legoland. On maps it said it was a 7 minute walk but it is literally across the street and there is an access door, so in reality it was more like 4 minutes. I had seen pictures online but they didn’t do this resort the justice it deserved. It is incredible with beautiful views. The staff is amazing and so eager to help with anything needed. We arrived at 11am and check in wasn’t till 4. I didn’t plan on checking in but wanted to ask front desk if we could park there so we could just walk to legoland and to my surprise the girl said a room was ready and we could check in (5 hours early). The property and rooms were incredibly clean, heated pools, kids water pad, arcade, ping pong, bbq grills, well stock lobby bar, dvds, game boards, fire pits, gym, and I know I am missing so many other things, but as a father and husband, I strongly recommend. I have definitely found a resort that I am looking forward to returning.

The staff were great. The family room was clean and included amenities we needed for a comfortable and wonderful stay. The swimming pool was well maintained. It was walkable to Legoland.

This was a last minute booking because there was a power shutdown in the location where we had planned to have our sisters weekend get away. The decision to book at Carlsbad Seapointe was great! There were four of us and we booked a 2-bedroom suite. It was spacious clean with a well-appointed kitchen. We walked to the beach which was just across the street. Next time we will ask for a upper level room so we can have an ocean view. The staff in the lobby were attentive and Tram the concierge was very helpful with great information about local restaurants and spas that all offered discounts. My only nit was the furniture was a little dated and worn.

We had an amazing stay at Carlsbad Seapointe Resort. The two bedroom option made it very comfortable for our family of four. Our two kids enjoyed having their own space and bathroom, while still being close. The pools were heated just enough to take the chill off, but weren’t too hot. We had fun at the arcades, enjoyed the fire pits, and playing around the property. Service was excellent, and the sunset views were incredible from the pools. On Sunday, they had live music and opened the adult-only pool up to everyone to enjoy a bbq, music, and the pool! They were some of the best BBQ burgers! The walk to the beach wasn’t too far, and the quick drives to the Carlsbad Outlets and restaurants made getting around easy. We were sad to leave, but we plan on coming back!

This resort was perfect for our family! We loved all of the amenities, which made our time with kids so much easier and more fun! Having a full kitchen to cook in was so great, and we loved all the beach gear available for our use (it made a trip down to Ponto Beach so easy!). Our kids loved the mini golf, playground, and kid friendly pool. We will definitely be back when we visit Carlsbad again!

A wonderful resort across from a beautiful beach. Our family enjoyed the quiet area, beautiful views, activities on the resort and the comfortable and spacious apartment. The Activity Coordinators had fun activities for the whole family. We would love to go back one day

When we booked this room, it was hard to tell from the descriptions and photos exactly what we would find, so I will describe it for those of you who are also curious. This is a very good option if you are looking for something inexpensive and near the beach. The rooms appear to be in something like a pre-fab or mobile home building, but the blackout curtains were good for privacy and sleeping and there wasn't too much sound from other rooms or outside. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, but no extras. For example, there was a fridge and a place to hang clothes, but no real closet and I didn't find an iron or a hairdryer. The floor is not carpeted, so while it isn't exactly cozy, I'm sure makes it easier to keep clean if a guest comes in with sandy shoes. We are not "big TV" people so the medium sized TV on the wall was all we needed. The staff were helpful and provided an extra blanket upon request. There was enough parking, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. We felt safe, although I wish the room number weren't written on the key. There were several very good options for meals within walking distance and even more within a short driving distance. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach to watch the sunset! We were on a budget for this unexpected trip, and I would stay here again if I needed serviceable budget accommodations in this area.

Oceanside Inn and Suites was perfect! The manager was friendly and very helpful. He walked us to our room and made sure everything was just right. You can park right outside your room which made unpacking easy. Lots of restaurants close by and the beach is a quick walk away. Room was big and beds were comfortable. Very clean accommodations. We rented a deluxe suite, and the best thing about this type of rooms was that we didn’t hear any neighbors. The room by itself was really clean and cozy, as well as very spacey. We felt like our suitcase has a separate room. Everything is well organized and the hosts are really willing to make your stay the most comfortable. Also, the location is just perfect with an easy access to a small beach and a bunch of breakfast places nearby which was cool for us as a family with kids.

The hotel did not provide any meals, but it wasn't expected because of the great rate we got. However, Beach Break Cafe is right next door and is open for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant was excellent...you have to try the coffee cake! The price was great, especially since it's a couple blocks from the beach and you could walk everywhere. Very convenient.

Great location! The owner who is also the front desk was very friendly and accomodating! Easy walk to a very clean beach (Cassidy St Beach) and close to a nice sushi restaurant across the street, also close to a nice coffee shop. Great vibe overall!

Although there were a few people hunkered down out front--Not the hotels fault. If you like to or are able to walk it's walkable to all kinds of restaurants and bars and the beach.

The location was AMAZING!!! Was on a Legoland birthday trip for my daughter. Single mom with three kids and I felt so safe! It was super clean very quiet! Bonus it was so close to the beach we went there as well!!! We will definitely be staying here again ! It’s not fancy, but it’s everything you need in a room clean beds, fridge and MICROWAVE!!!! With kids these are amazing essentials INCLUDED in the room!!! For a weekend rate it was still affordable!!

It was the perfect place for our 3 nights stay. The hostess at the front desk was welcoming and professional, the breakfast offered several choices, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen area is very convenient for an even longer stay. We also enjoyed the fitness room and swimming pool. The only aspect we found could be improved is the noise of the air conditioning which is quite loud at night. Everything else was perfect. Many thanks to the team. We will surely stay with you again when we are back in San Marcos and San Diego

Good value, close to freeway, close to restaurants, not too far from SD Safari Park. Staff was nice, daily breakfast was good. Breakfast area is also spacious. I got to stay at their 2 BR suite and it was great! We wished we stayed another night.

The Fin has become my go to for visiting our son at Camp Pendleton. Centrally located, historic and cozy with a great, all day, restaurant and coffee shop attached. It’s a great place to be if you don’t have access to a car. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, many are on the small side so maybe not ideal for families but no worries for single or a couple. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Coffee shop donuts are made in house and to die for- I don’t like donuts much but i struggled not to order more of these. Menu is small, eclectic and very well executed. Bar is a great place for a cocktail or drink on your way to or from dinner. Ok, the small team isn’t perfect- we ran out of TP but ultimately that’s minor thing. Stay here for the right reasons and you won’t be disappointed- highly recommended properly.

This small hotel is just a short walk from the train station. We found the staff to be welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and the walk in shower was terrific. We were pleasantly surprised to find robes in the bathroom. The lobby area doubles as extra table seating for the attached small, gourmet restaurant. Both coffee and tea in the restaurant were excellent. The tea offered is loose leaf and properly brewed with an infuser. There are plenty of restaurants and shops as well as a movie theater and a playhouse theater within a short ( 10 minutes or less) walk. The beach and pier areas are less than a fifteen minute walk and the FIN even offers beach towels.

Fin Hotel is a boutique hotel located close to Oceanside Beach! It has a lot of history and character. Lisa was very accommodating at the front desk as soon as we came in. She shared with us the history of the building when I asked her. It’s pretty cool to hear that it was once a switchboard for the Marines! I was impressed to see the layout of the room even though it’s small I love it. They have beach towels, slippers and a robe. Highly quality soap made from rosemary. I loved the restaurant connected to the hotel which is called the Switchboard! We ordered salmon Cesar salad and a shrimp salad followed by banana lumpa. Our server was Steven and he his work ethic spoke for himself! We initially came for the free mocktail, but decided to stay for dinner after interacting with him. The following morning I went to the coffee shop for coffee which is also connected to the switchboard restaurant hotel. I look forward to coming back to this hotel. As a gold member and Hilton fan it didn’t disappoint me. I highly recommend this boutique hotel!

This is a super-cute, boutique hotel -- friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the train station and only a couple of blocks from the pier/ocean. If you are travelling with minimal luggage, there is a laundry about 10-minute walk from the hotel. In the same direction, if you keep walking for another 20-minutes, there are a series of antique / warehouse / charity shops, and a great little cheap pizza/beer place. Hotel is also close to several restaurants, pubs and a pharmacy. We enjoyed the red ale at the nearby Flying Pig. Room was very clean and larger than a lot of the other reviewers led me to believe. While this was the most expensive hotel of our trip, it was *much* cheaper than the hotels on the oceanfront, or a block back from the ocean. Oceanside is an expensive town. We had breakfast in the onsite restaurant and the staff/food was amazing. Despite the June gloom, we had a pleasant and restful stay. The Fin had a nice vibe. On checking out, we had a lovely chat with the Manager and talked about football and cricket -- thanks again!

Great little boutique Hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was great - although we were above the bar so was a little noisy until closing (c11pm). Theres a great little bar serving cocktails and food. There's an attached coffee shop but I didnt use. About a 10 min walk to the beach. Parking out back is a little tight - but right behind the hotel.

I had an amazing stay at **Quality Inn & Suites Oceanside**! From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect—close to Camp Pendleton and just a short drive to the beach, which made it very convenient for both work and relaxation. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in keeping the room tidy. This hotel is within walking distance of lots of shopping centers and restaurants. The Texas Road House restaurant is within 2 blocks and Cheesecake Factory is within 6 blocks. The city bus stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel is in a safe area. Although the hall walls and carpet on the stairs needs replacing, the rooms are great. My room was huge with a massive bed and nice balconey. There is lots of storage space and lots of tables. There was lots of hot water and a bathtub and shower combo. I enjoyed the breakfast, it was fun making waffles and butter and syrup are provided. There is also yogurt and apples and two kinds of juice and coffee. There is a Dennys within 2 blocks if you need eggs and bacon. The one drawback is that there is no security safe. The staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is available every day.

We stayed here for 5 days and had no issues. Our air conditioning worked great the whole time and we like our room cold. We had a nice little balcony which was great. The beds were comfy which is a huge thing for me because I have back problems. Our room was clean and the staff was super friendly. I was a little concerned it was a bit far from the beach but with the freeway right there it was super convenient. We had the breakfast which was good for a little free breakfast. They had eggs and sausage and waffles and toast and English muffins. As well as cereal and some other sweets. We also used the pool and hot tub during our stay. The water was a little on the low side and the pool a bit dirty but it was the end of the night so that’s to be expected. Overall I’m giving this hotel 5 stars because there isn’t one thing that we can complain about and it really Is a nice little hotel for the price. I would 10000% stay here again next time we come back. Also shout out to the staff especially the nice lady who did the continental breakfast. They really go out of their way to be nice to you. Super friendly.

I was in the area for soccer games. Hotel was about 2 miles from the complex. Front desk was very friendly and informative. Room was clean and spacious. The room had a WiFi, microwave, small fridge, iron/ironing board, hair dryer and coffee machine. Plenty of electrical outlets. Shower was nice but low water pressure in my room. TV turned on but for some reason wasn’t connected to cable. Yes, I tried changing the input/source. I never contacted management about it, because I had my phone. Breakfast included coffee, juice, waffles, yogurt and cereal. Overall, pretty good stay. Mall on the other side of the freeway ( about 1 1/2 miles away) restaurants and shopping all close by

A very nice property for Motel 6. The Deluxe King room was very large. Everything was super clean. The decor was nice and high quality. The bed was super comfy and the four pillows were very nice, with crisp clean linens. It was nice to have a big fridge and microwave. I loved the outside too, with pretty palm trees and landscaping and nicely maintained building. The pool looked very clean and sparkly. It was also super quiet. I didn’t hear the freeway or any other guests at all. Will totally come back again.

The hotel has been renovated and the rooms and bathrooms have been updated. The beds are comfy and the bathroom spacious and very clean. The refrigerator and microwave were a nice plus. Our room was close to the road but we heard very little road noise. The internet is fast. The continental breakfast is basic, juice, coffee, toast, packaged sweet rolls, cereal and fruit. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to Fallbrook.

We have stayed at several Motel 6s because we travel with our dogs and they are accepted at Motel 6. This is the best one, ever, and we will return next time we travel through the area. Like all Motel 6s, it is your basic, simple motel, with a bed, shower and a TV, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom and furniture were modern and it was clean. We selected a 'suite' for a few dollars more which was spacious and equipped with microwave and small refrigerator. The grounds were clean and attractive, though there is no pet area for the dogs to use.

I stayed here for three nights at a very reasonable rate. The staff was very friendly, grounds much cleaner than a normal motel in this area, very safe, and most everything worked fine in the room. There were restaurants and coffee options nearby and the beach was about a 10-minute walk. It's about two miles from downtown Encinitas so a bit far from that area and the train station. It's an older motel but nicely renovated. Bed was comfy, TV worked fine, tub and shower, soap and shampoo, good AC/heat, microwave and fridge and many lights. There was no coffee maker or coffee downstairs which one would normally expect so that was disappointing. Also, when using the wifi, half the sites you accessed, including many legit ones, were flagged as dangerous and when you visited them anyway, you were sent to a phishing site. That was pretty bad. Aside from that, all else good and definitely would stay again.

Short 1 night stay, Rodeway Inn worked perfect for me. Clean, large room, hot shower, great help at front desk even though I checked in late. Even better are all of the coffee/drink, breakfast, and eating places right there at Leucadia Beach. I had a nice morning walk to Grandview Beach and back, after grabbing a nearby coffee.

I’ve stayed here many times and the managers Jay and Sally are amazing and very accommodating. Jay always makes sure that my stay is pleasant. The hotel is in a good safe area, a block away from the beach. My room was very clean and quiet. I appreciated the great service, good sleep, and proximity to the beach and restaurants, all at a great price. I will book and stay again. Thanks for a good experience.

This was a nice place for one night stay. The pictures make it look lots nicer. But I must say that it was clean, quiet, close to walkable restaurants and as I heard, 15 minute walk to the beach. It was simply a nice quiet place with some amenities (near restaurants). Nothing fancy, but certainly adequate.

The hotel is a great place. The lady at the front desk is absolutely adorable. They’re in the middle of renovations and the hotel will be a beautiful place to stay once they’re done. Only a couple of things that I should point out that would be helpful for them is I complained about the water being looped warm And the response I got from the lady out front was because of the workers there not feeding her correct information I’m a handyman at home so I remedied the hot water issue in the shower and now it’s great. The only other thing I felt strange about was I’ve left my key card in the room and asked for an additional key card and was told that it would cost me $20 if the key card was not returned to the front desk I’ve never stayed in a hotel that’s asked for the key cards back The other things there could be made better is the shower is a little slippery for old people like myself and should probably have some type of a rubber mat put down for us. The other thing was that the shower did not have anywhere to put the bar of soap or the shampoo and there construction people need to figure out how to remedy that situation. The shower also leaked water on the backside of the glass because the glass was improperly installed and so it’s not sealed correctly. These are constructive things not complaints my stay there was absolutely wonderful and I would be more than happy to recommend or go back to the place again.

Overall we loved our trip!!! The grounds of the hotel are amazing. Pool, hot tub and gym were a great addition. Love that it’s walking distance to the beach. One thing I would’ve loved to know was about the frequent sting ray stings in the area. I was stung and ended up in the hospital Wednesday which really ruined part of our time. I heard after the fact that you should do the “ sting ray shuffle” to prevent stings. Wish this info was posted either in the hotel or by the beach. Other than that we loved our stay. Please be safe!

My husband and I stayed here 5 nights while exploring the area. Hotel was very nice. Great location, beds were comfortable, very quiet for the most part. We were there Monday through Saturday and as it got closer to the weekend the resort got busier. The pool and the hotub were nice. I loved the convenience of the coffee shop and the restaurants onsite. We had one incident while at the pool. We ordered food and my husband found a wrapper from the frozen burger patty in between the burger and the bun. We told the guy taking poolside orders. He sent the manager out. He apologized and said come back tomorrow for food and drinks on us. We are not big drinkers and had other plans for lunch so that didn’t really do much for us.

We started of on a bad note. We booked and ocean view room and got a room on the ground floor with absolutely no view. I changed the room. Now we got a pool view room. Once again we booked an ocean view room. Walking around the property now feeling like an entitled person, knowing I needed to change it a second time. I did notice that they are actually very few TRUE ocean view rooms. Only rooms on the 3 floor have a true ocean view. We changed it to an Coastal View room and could not have been more happy. The view was beautiful and it was vey quiet. Make sure you get a 3rd floor room. The beach access is easy, by stairs or a walk way that is accessible with a wheel chair. Towles, chairs, umbrella and water is provided for your beach stay. The hotel stuff is very professional and extremely friendly. Food is good, but pricy. During checkout I was charged for my service dog (true service dog, with proper papers). When I pointed it out I was told: We do charge for service dogs. It is against the law (ADA) to charge and the front desk agent should know this. He was actually the only employee with an attitude. When I pointed it out to him, he revised the charges. Maybe the front desk manager can train the stuff properly in regards to guests with disability's. I see many negative reviews on this hotel. Try it out, you will love it.

We enjoyed a relaxing one-night family stay in a Two Queen Bed Coastline View room with a balcony at the Alila Marea. This was prior to the hotel’s new two-person room occupancy policy, so we stayed as a family of four. The service throughout was excellent—valet was smooth, check-in was quick, and the room felt spacious and comfortable. The coastal view was beautiful, and we especially loved our sunset stroll along the beach. As Hyatt Globalists, we took advantage of the complimentary breakfast benefit at VAGA. While the menu was limited, it was still a welcome perk and perfectly enjoyable. One of us also tried a complimentary session at the Revival Lounge at Spa Alila. Some of the amenities—like the Therabody Zero Gravity Chair, Compression Boots, and SmartGoggles eye and temple massage—were unique and interesting to try. Overall, a peaceful and well-run property with stunning views—perfect for a quick escape.

My wife and I stayed here at the Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas for our first wedding anniversary. This place did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, our experience was fantastic. We were greeted by the most friendly staff with smiles on their faces and an enthusiastic attitude. I have to give a huge thank you to Dennise & the rest of the guest experience team for going above and beyond in helping me prepare for a romantic entrance into our room. It absolutely set the tone for the remainder of our stay! The rooms smell amazing, the fresh eucalyptus hanging in the shower was next level, the view from the room (Ocean view room with balcony) was 100% worth every penny. I cannot stress enough how amazing the entire staff is at this location. I never felt like we were catered to in every little thing we did. We will definitely be coming back!

This resort is nothing short of magical. The obvious selling point is the location and absolutely stunning views of the ocean. But the overall experience was so relaxing. The rooms are modern but also warm and inviting - the bed was so comfy and the shower was incredible. The pool overlooks the ocean and features a dry sauna with ocean views as well. There is light music at the pool to make it a vibe for enjoying a cocktail, but it was also quiet enough if you want to read a book. The spa is intimate and lovely, and all three dining outlets on the property offered something different, and we enjoyed all of them. You really don't even have to leave the resort for a weekend here, especially since you can just walk down to the beach. Highly recommend for a relaxing and tranquil oceanfront retreat.

Great place but lots of kids pools and not enough adult ones.I had to pay for spa to get away from kids at the pool. Spa was great they have an outdoor massage waterjet that was amazing but no pool just a small dunking pool size of large jacuzzi. Massage therapist was not very experienced the water jet was way better.

This property is simply beautiful! The trees and flowers are in abundance everywhere you look, and are very well maintained all throughout the large property. We stayed in a suite which had been recently renovated (2024), and it was truly lovely. Large room, well appointed, view of pools, very clean and well maintained. All the staff we encountered were very professional and delivered wonderful service.

Good: nice hotel and friendly staff. Good gym. Free waters everywhere. Leon who is the valet and waiter lovely guy. Ok coffee shop and restaurant . Food decent. They have a great speak easy.. try it, the bar tender lady is lovely and makes a great cocktail. Bad:They gave us room so far away on property - Room door did not close properly. Really stingy with toilet paper and towels. Parking very expensive and you have no choice….shower took ages to heat up. I would stay again should the occasion arise.

The breakfast was a little disappointing with a few wrapped choices and make your own coffee in the room. It didn't help that the coffee maker didn't work very well and gave me a very small amount of coffee in the cup.

I had a great stay with Ramada with no complaints. Check in was quick and corgial and the room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities. The room had a coffee maker, microwave ,fridge, safe and a good bed. The price was reasonable. It was a short drive to the beach and I was able to catch the sunset and some great pictures.

Clean. Basic but nice. Elevator Is in good condition. Parking lot and surroundings feel safe. My stay was quiet and an eventful and I felt that the room was very clean and comfortable.

Stayed 2 nights, first look of parking and hotel was pretty sketchy. Hotel lobby looks nothing like the picture, there was plexiglass at check in, person checking us in was wearing gloves. Room was better than I expected. Other reviews mentioned mildew in shower, yes there was but you could see where they try to cover it up, there is no circulation, fan in bathroom didn't work so of course mildew will grow. I went to lobby to find out where the continental breakfast was since the pictures showed a nice area and I was told it would be in the lobby. When i went back, it was whole fruits, granola bars and cinnamin or danish packages. No juice, no coffee. I was told coffee is in room. Ramada please update your pictures or bring back what the pictures show, Covid is better taken care of now.

Staff was very friendly but communication between shifts lacked re: a repair that was delayed and someone entering the room to clean when a late check out was approved but not communicated. Stay was good. Beds are hard. Clean and friendly. Very convenient location. Walking to downtown Oside.

I decided to leave a review of this place since I was very suprised by the warm welcoming. This waw a very nice place considering the overall rating it has online. I was very pleased with the front desk and management team that made our stay there very fun and simple. Alex and his team are very nice and welcoming. It really made for a very relaxing weekend. Free breakfast were bonuses every morning, along with a handful of things to do recommended by the manager on sight. Overall great place to stay in.

I love that there is free breakfast and quiet and it’s secure and excellent customer service and the breakfast is fresh and clean will come back again and the price is negotiable

2 Day stay, great location. Breakfast was same both days. Waffles and danish coffee. More like a sweet snack. The Coffee was good. The building is old. Rooms were clean. Bed was not comfortable. For a quick stay this hotel is great.

The hotel and the people working there were really nice especially the manger Alex! Oh man shout out to that guy! he’s really respectful very patient and just made me and my wife really easy to pick and stay in a room! The rooms were really clean and cozy will for sure be staying there again next time we have out honeymoon in San Marcos! The room was spacious, we loved having the kitchen to be able to quick little bites for dinner and breakfast. The bed comfy, overall the hotel was super clean. The girls at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. Felt very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again with my family.

Thanks to Manir for the heads up about a water repair on the property. I will always give credit where credit is due. I am very comfortable at this property. I will be using it as my go-to spot when we have visitors in the area. I made an acct with ESA so when family comes in (I have a very small apt), they can stay at this property where they may store food in a full size fridge and even cook! This helps make it affordable to come visit at the beach! Sahara is always helpful. Her calm demeanor makes me feel less stress while I’m away from home. Also, I wanted to commend the housekeeping staff! They’ve always responded with more towels and linens when I was out. The rooms are tidy! The common areas are spotless. The grounds outside are always picked up. The location is great too!! Walkable to major restaurants like Texas Roadhouse. Target is close. Trader Joe’s is close. The beach is not far, maybe 5 miles or so. I recommend this property to anybody traveling. Many thanks to Shilpa and the whole staff!!

Fantastic stay. They had reasonable rates, as someone travelimg with a dog, they had a decent area for bathroom breaks and the room was quiet, and clean with comfy beds. The coffee and continental breakfast in the morning was a big bonus too. I would definitely stay again when im in the area.

I had an accessible room and it was great for me. While I don’t use a wheelchair, I’m a 21 yr multiple sclerosis warrior. The shower with extra bars to hold into was very safe. Thanks staff for always being professional & friendly. Love staying here!!

I had an overall very pleasant experience during my stay at Motel 6 in Carlsbad. The rooms are spacious and modern with plenty of storage space throughout. It was very quiet the entire time and the area is quite safe. The most impressionable part of my stay would hands down be the staff and service. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and thorough. The staff went above and beyond to be accommodating while simultaneously making each interaction personable and enjoyable. I always walked away either laughing or smiling. I highly recommend Motel 6 and thank you to all the staff for making my stay wonderful!

Honestly for a motel 6 it wasn’t bad! It was a last minute booking, so it was nice they had availability. Check in was alright, I think the front desk lady was on dinner break because I waited about an hour before someone was even there to check me in. When she got there though she was very friendly and quick. The room was fine. I recommend bringing your own pillows and maybe an extra blanket, since the pillows were flat and the blankets were thin. The mattress was comfortable though. You can tell despite the wear and tear on the room, they actually did a good job cleaning everything. The bathroom had a bit of mold around the tub, and towels were pretty small. Water pressure was great. The room was always really humid inside for some reason. It didnt bother me though, I’d open up the door and get that fresh ocean air anyways. Room was quiet and in a good location. If you’re looking for a cheap yet comfortable and safe place to stay, this is your spot! The price is unbeatable. There’s nothing else in the area that’s even remotely this cheap. I had low expectations for a motel 6 but this one was actually great for the money. I dare say I would stay here again!

Hotel was clean, great location, staff was amazing, pool and rooms were clean, right off freeway, close to ocean. 10 minutes from Moonlight Beach. Plenty of parking. Good coffee in the morning:) Will definitely stay again.

Am reviewing to get Expedia to stop nagging me for a review. I brought my dog to this Motel 6 as it is pet friendly and I am trying to train him that it's okay to leave home for adventures as my former dogs were not all that adventurous. (He was a trooper and did great!) It's a Motel 6, people! It's no more or less than that. The room was fine, other than I hoped for a small coffee pot as most places I've stayed had one in the room, but that was easily remedied by a trip to a store to purchase one. The staff was friendly and kind and didn't object to my rather large dog. It's located in a business area but is close enough to the beaches, making it a cost-friendly vacation spot for those on a budget. That it is pet-friendly is a bonus.

Smooth check-in process & staff was very friendly. I appreciate the fact that this hotel isn't very far from Camp Pendleton and was close to beaches and shopping outlets. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was free coffee in the lobby which was nice! I will definitely be back in the future when I am in the area.

Several people that stayed here before told me about how nicely furnished with great room prices, on a bus route, walking distance to the beach, Carlsbad Village train depot & bus stop, every Wed. afternoon The Farmers Market on State Street, walking distance for all of Carlsbad Village spots in the “Who Do You Love?” Oct 17, 2024 edition of The North County Best of 2024 Reader. It rained almost half of my stay. The housekeepers were quiet working. No slamming doors like other places. Plenty of hot water pressure for a shower not common in San Diego County. There are many nice extras. ie. a padded seat shoe bench to sit on putting on/taking off shoes with shoe storage below it. No paper thin towels. Clean & white with no stains. It appears having been renovated not long ago. I strongly recommend the Scandia Motel giving it a 5 out of 5 stars for being small, a friendly staff, not a chain motel and for its great location. Neutral on people staying/sleeping in their cars mostly backed in facing the front of my room/the far back rear of lot back of car against fence of practice field building. Some left in the mornings, some never left & were always looking every time I opened my room door leaving/returning & my car, too. They sat watching me & other guests staying in rooms around me as if we were the entertainment!

I stay here every time I come to Carlsbad for work. You can count on a simple yet clean and comfortable room with easy access to the beach about a five minute walk and amazing restaurants about a 10 minute walk. This property is unique because as a family owned and operated motel they take pride in their property and offer an outstanding overnight experience at an affordable price.

The owner was super friendly and nice, place was in a really good area and very clean. Felt very safe and comfortable there. Was also fun to see the owner and his son ride bikes around together and have him hangout with him while he worked. 10/10
