Directions was easy to find the place as they send us an email and message to easy find the place. since the day we arrived, the hostess was more then kind beautiful persons to deal with, they welcome us with a nice tour in the place, . Extremely confortável the bed and bedroom, the jacuzzi was so relaxing, fantastic atmosfera while having the breakfast i would say that it felt like i was home but with no stress 😁 beautiful views as it was placed in the countryside, no noises a part the birds singing 😅 to complete the place we had fantastic weather i couldn't find a better place to stay. Also very clean everywhere I sincerely recommend to all turistas to visit and to take your break here i certainly will go back to this place i really loved it so much....

Monte das Perdizes is a lovely mini-hotel/B&B about 30 minutes drive from Faro. Our room was spacious, modern and very clean with excellent air conditioning, a comfortable king size bed and large modern bathroom. There was also a separate kitchenette area with fridge, microwave and kettle. Outside there’s plenty of seating (both loungers, comfortable seating and table/chairs for al-fresco breakfasts. Indeed breakfast was excellent and nice to be able to sit outside and eat by the pool. The husband and wife owners were so friendly and gave lots of local advice. The only drawback is access is along 1km of very bumpy dirt track. You also do need a car for access. Absolutely loved the hotel and would highly recommend. (Thank you).

Everything! This was a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast were excellent and filling. Our hosts were very welcoming, helpful and attentive to our needs. Our hosts also recommended a fantastic restaurant in the adjacent community; excellent menu. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. And added bonus was the tiny kitchenette off the bedroom.

I will run out of superlatives to describe this place. From the gorgeous, leisurely breakfasts sitting outside, followed by trips out to explore the Rias Formosa area, or lovely local towns. Then back for a late lunch and a relaxing afternoon by the pool, reading or just looking at the scenery. Then driving out to a local restaurant to sample the food. Mandiba (their gentle dog) was always there to welcome us back. Miguel and Manuela were always on hand to provide information and support. The rooms were good sized than thoughtfully laid out with everything you would expect for this kind of accommodation. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changes regularly. The bed was large and comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The couple and their staff work really hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible, creating a peaceful and relaxed oasis amongst the fig trees which provided an endless supply of tasty fruit during our august visit.

The property was wonderful. Spacious, light, very clean, brilliant that most bedrooms were en-suite, gorgeous pool, tranquil and relaxing. Perfect.

Fantastic villa lots of space, plenty of fresh towels and bedding. Fully equipped kitchen, very big garden with a lovely pool and a fish pond the kids loved it. The owners where very helpful and accommodating, reply to messages promptly.

Beautiful quiet area, large comfortable space.

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of April. Bit of a last minute booking and we were apprehensive about the weather forecast but we had a lovely time. The hotel is a 10 euro taxi ride from Faro airport and is perfectly situated in the heart of Olhao Town. We loved being able to wander around the old streets and down to the harbour. Considering it was quiet season there were still plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to choose from. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, everything was fresh although there was no variation in choice over the 3 days. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional and everywhere was exceptionally clean. The modern, light, airy decor was beautifully done. The rooms were an adequate size with a large walk in shower. Also included was a fridge and safe. We had room 301 which overlooked the main road at the front but it was fairly quiet. Although there was no balcony, the floor to ceiling windows opened to allow plenty of fresh air. The pool roof top terrace was stunning, but unfortunately the water was too cold for us! The views from the terrace were outstanding. We could see the islands and watch the storks in their nest on the roof of the beautiful church nearby. We don't have anything negative to say about this hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful town.

What a gem of a hotel with its perfect location ambling down the traditional walkways with their bars/restaurants towards the marina front. Very modern/clean rooms with everything you need. Breakfast buffet was exemplary and well tended. The rooftop bar & lounge area was a very comfortable setting with nice views of the city. The rooftop pool area with the sunbeds is a fabulous addition & looks very classy. We had an early flight out & they made us up a takeout breakfast which was most appreciated, very attentive.

Lovely small hotel within 5 minutes walk of seafront bars and restaurants. Calming, spacious reception area with comfortable seats. The staff are fantastic special mentions for Alice, Tiago, Sonia, and Daniel. They made us feel so welcome and gave such a cheerful service. The beds are really comfy and the room spacious and clean. The roof terrace with pool and bar is an excellent place to relax. Breakfast was very good with plenty of healthy choices and for me the not so healthy but very tasty options.

By way of context it is helpful to understand a bit about Olhao:- Wind the clock back 100+ years and this was a thriving town benefitting from the port (fishing) and more so the local salt production. The wealth is evident in the properties (generally within 3 streets from the front) which are stunning - whilst some have been carefully renovated others are in their original condition and most are clad with beautiful tiles. Nowadays the town has its own thriving fish market with an amazing selection - strongly recommend a trip one morning after its 7:00 am opening. With the quality of seafood on offer the town benefits from some outstanding restaurants (see recent reviews) - it really does feel like we’ve landed in foodie heaven. Beaches on the nearby islands are a short ferry crossing away. Of the islands we visited Culatra was probably the best with deserted beaches to rival anywhere in the world. No regrets in picking this 3* hotel above some of the 4* hotels on the front - it is clean, modern, provides an ok breakfast and is ideally located within easy walking distance of everywhere you would want to go including the train station. On this point we took day trips into Faro and Vila Real enjoying both. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace bar (& pool) - it’s a good spot for a pre/post dinner drink (or two).

This was exactly the break I needed after a super busy work period. I needed some peace and quiet, and downtime. My room was so spacious, just what I needed to decompress, and the terrace too. I loved it so much. The roof top area and bar was a lovely place for a solo traveller to sit and have a drink in the evening comfortably and safely. I was able to spend an afternoon there reading in the sunshine and it was so lovely , peaceful and quiet (apart from one guest who was loudly opinionated, very unnecessarily so, to be honest, disrupting several people who were enjoying the peaceful environment, but I drowned her out with some music in my ears). Maybe a sign asking for people to be respectful of others. The views were amazing to lose your thoughts in. It was a great location too, just 5-10 minutes to the front, through all the little streets. Easy to pop in and out. As a solo traveller it was ideal. Lots of great places nearby too. Including the fabulous Luna Cafe. I absolutely LOVED my stay here and thank you so much for making my solo break perfect. I will definitely come back.

Our stay was absolutely delightful! The hotel offered incredibly spacious, immaculate rooms with supremely comfortable beds - perfect for recharging after exploring the town. Speaking of which, the location was ideal - just a leisurely 10-20 minute stroll to the heart of the city, where we discovered an amazing variety of restaurants and bars. Even during rainy weather, the town kept us thoroughly entertained, and our island excursion was a definite highlight of the trip! The hotel itself boasts a beautiful pool area and impressive exterior. While the bar operates 24/7, do note that alcohol service ends at 11pm! The room comes equipped with a generous-sized fridge and tea-making facilities. Though supplies aren't included (typical for a 3-star property), there's a convenient shop just two minutes away. A special mention goes to the hotel's transfer service - Hugo, our driver, provided a luxury car experience complete with complimentary water, showcasing true professional service. For the price point, this 3-star hotel delivers exceptional value - offering comfort, convenience, and quality that truly exceeded our expectations!

This delightful hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk back from the waterside in Olhao. Spotlessly clean with a good small pool that has a good number of loungers around it on different levels. Not much of a view from the pool apart from the hotel and the empty building next door, but from the 3rd (top ) floor where we were there is a view out across the town to the sea. Superior room was good sized with comfortable beds. Kettle provided but bring your own tea or take some from the breakfast buffet. Good selection for breakfast with something for everyone. Plenty of restaurants in the town, we didn't find a bad one in the week we were there. The train station is 5 minutes away and you can travel on The Algarve line along the southern coast of Portugal which is great. Fuseta, Tavira and Villa Real are all worth a visit and the fares are cheap! All the staff here SMILE! Which is so important, it's the same at their sister hotel, Pure Formosa, where you can use the roof top bar which is excellent, (Hi Jefferson! great service from him) We had a wonderful week here,and I'm sure we'll be back!

I wanted a week away alone and chose this hotel as it was not large and impersonal. The hotel is in a superb position right in the town itself. The public transport is excellent with the train station just five minutes away as is the bus station. The staff in this hotel are so helpfull and friendly and will do anything to make you stay memorable. Breakfast buffet is good with a large choice of items. There is also a pool on site not massive but so convenient if you want to stay in. Olhao is now a must for me I will be coming back again. When out and about it's very safe and all the Portuguese people I met were so kind and helpful. The hotel and place get a gold star from me. Dont forget to go on the ferry to visit the islands nearby as there is no beach in the town.

The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, freshly renovated. We had a studio that was spacious with a king size bed was very fresh and had a good variety of foods. The people at the desk were so helpful and friendly again and again. They made reservations for boat tour and taxis for us, helpful because we do not speak the language. Hotel is located five minutes from the train, across the street is a supermarket and a laundromat, and it’s a 10 minute walk to many many restaurants and the waterfront. The pool and patio were pristine.

We stayed in this immaculately clean hotel for four nights in October. Our room was small but comfortable with good aircon. We had the bonus of a tiny little balcony overlooking the pool. We had booked breakfast and must admit that the restricted buffet was more than adequate. A highlight was the abundance and variety of fresh fruits on offer. Staff, on the reception desk, were delightful and very helpful. This is a comfortable base for exploring Olhao although we did find it a bit of a hike to get to the front.

The location was fantastic, and the staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was very good. The gym was very well equipped and in excellent condition. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were undergoing maintenance, so we received a voucher for the spa, which we were happy to use! Overall an excellent hotel and we would love to be back!

Excellent location, easily walkable to the main town area, very convenient and easy parking. All staff very friendly, professional, helpful and courteous. Room very good, comfy large bed, spacious balcony with great views from Ria-facing room. Fridge and safe in room. Appreciated the free coffee pods and bottles of water, replaced daily. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautifully maintained—clean, peaceful, and generously sized throughout. Check-in was seamless, and we were pleased to receive the exact room we had booked with a city view. The room itself was spacious with a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was impressively large, well-appointed with all necessary amenities. The in-room fridge was a real bonus, especially given the hot weather on our arrival. We also loved the Nespresso machine—having quality coffee in the room was a real treat. Breakfast was excellent, offering a good selection of options, including great coffee (again, Nespresso!) and something to suit every taste. The staff were a true highlight—always smiling, warm, and eager to assist with anything we needed. Parking was very convenient, right in front of the hotel, and we appreciated the availability of an electric vehicle charging point. If you're considering staying here, I’d recommend opting for a sea-view room—we were located at the back of the hotel and did find ourselves missing that extra element. Overall, a fantastic experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We spent a week in this lovely hotel. Our room had a wonderful view over the ria. We visited both the islands. The ferries were great value but personally, we wouldn’t recommend the more expensive boat tour as it didn’t go anywhere different to where you can go by a ferry, which were far cheaper. The room was well appointed with good quality furnishings, bedding and towels. The maid service was excellent. A kettle would have been nice but we had taken our own kettle and mugs anyway. There was a coffee machine with tiny cups and the complimentary water was very welcome. The room was very quiet and had a free safe. The bathroom was large with plenty of hot water and the shower had great pressure. We used the pools, though at this time of year the indoor one was preferable. The music on Friday evening was excellent and it would have been nicer if there had been some music on another night too. Agree with other reviewers that the bar drinks are pricey and for the price of the brandy would have been nice to have had it in a brandy glass rather than a whiskey glass! The breakfasts were great with a wide range of choices and everything was fresh. The staff were all very friendly. There was an excellent selection of bars and restaurants nearby especially the Mexican and Indian which had good vegetarian choices. Would definitely return some day.

Location: On a quiet square with some parking, ten mins walk from train station and five from the waterfront. Mini-market opposite. Lots of good bars and restaurants in town (don't just stick to the ones on the waterfront, Domino and Via evVolta were also great). The ferries to the islands were cheap. My favourite island place was Farol were there is a relaxing beach bar. Staff: João, Ricardo and Katia were friendly, efficient and so helpful with any queries. Common areas: Exactly as seen on the website photos. Everything was beautifully clean and stylish. Particularly loved the rooftop terrace and took a few cuttings from the large array of well kept succulents! The kitchen area, where the gorgeous breakfast is served, is open to residents all day. Great if you want a tea or coffee with a slice of homemade cake (all provided) or to chill a bottle of wine in the fridge. It was a very social area so great for guests to meet each other. All the rooms looked lovely. Mine was small, but due to the high ceilings and amount of light from the two windows (one with small balcony) it was perfect for a solo traveller. The bed was extremely comfortable, good quality linens with socket in easy reach and the lighting was good. Efficient air con. No wardrobe, but hanging space with coathangers. Safe provided in room. Bathroom small but big enough. Good shower and plenty of thick towels. Room cleaned whenever requested and to a good standard.

Just a perfect stay ... 10/10 for everything! Joao and Catia were both amazing, so kind, friendly and knowledgeable about Olhao, the area and Portugal in general. I spent a wonderful five days here and loved every minute. The beautifully renovated old house is so conveniently located in among the quiet cobbled streets of the old town and yet everything from restaurants, bars, shops, ferries to the islands, trains to Faro and Tavira, etc., are all just within a few minutes' walk. The guest house is very cool, tastefully decorated and super clean. My room and bathroom were both perfect, white, light and very comfortable. The breakfast is to die for ... a huge array of fresh fruits, granola, cereals, breads, croissants, pastries, cakes, eggs, coffees, teas, and I am sure a few other things I forgot! I will definitely be back again soon and recommend anyone thinking of visiting Olhao looks no further than the amazing GuestMar.

The room was comfy, clean, and attractive, with high ceilings and lots of natural light, but also good ability to block out light for sleep. The bed is comfy and I slept really well there. Also the showers in Portugal tend to be small, and while the shower here isn't huge it was the biggest shower I encountered at any of the places I stayed at during my trip. Staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, honestly the best breakfast I've had at accommodations in a long time. Lots of options that are healthy, nutritious, and filling with lots and lots of fresh fruits. Location is convenient and it is easy to walk to the waterfront for dining and activities.

This was my second visit to GuestMar having visited last year too. It is a five minute walk from the bus station, ten from the train station and about seven to the central market area by the water. I stayed in the same room Pescador which is small, but due to the large amount of light entering through the door and windows, it does not feel too small for one person and has a small balcony. The bed is very comfortable, the linen is of good quality, the air-con works well and the black out curtains and shutters keep out the light at night. The shower is powerful and the lighting in the bathroom, together with the magnifying mirror is good for make-up application. Toiletries and a hair dryer are provided and the towels are good quality. The staff are all friendly and helpful, João, Filipa and Katia all speaking excellent English. Breakfast is a highlight with a great spread of meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, pastries, juices and hot drinks. The kitchen is open to residents until 10pm and you are welcome to help yourselves to drinks and biscuits as well as having use of the fridge. This encourages a friendly vibe between guests. There is also a communal sitting area on the upper floor and a gorgeous roof terrace filled with plants. I will return again as I love Olhão and Guest Mar is a place that I feel very comfortable as a solo traveller.

Communication was great from initial booking and we had a lovely warm welcome from Andreia. The house is beautiful and the accommodation is large, immaculately clean and comfortable. The roof terrace was amazing and the top terrace was a fantastic place to watch sunrise and sunset. The accommodation is really well located in the old town opposite a beautiful church. The harbour, shops and restaurants are very close walking distance, making it convenient for everything. Free tea and coffee was a lovely touch and it was conveniently located outside our room. For the price paid I found it excellent value for money. Despite a couple of issues with WiFi and lighting I loved this accommodation and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I return to Olhao.

Located in an historic building, former pharmacy, only a short walk from the seafront and its many shops and restaurants. My room at the top of the building was spacious with shower within the room and a separate toilet also within the room. It opened out onto a large terrace which although communal I rarely saw anyone else on it during my stay. A fridge for the use of guests along with tea and coffee facilities was located in a separate room within the building. This is not modern resort style accommodation but clean and comfortable at a great price in a great location. I even had a storks nest just across from me. Andreia welcomes everyone warmly and is always available to answer any questions or give advice…she’s a star ⭐️

Charming guesthouse with high ceilings and a relaxed Bohemian vibe. We asked for a quiet room and had a large sitting room as well as a bedroom. Rooms at the front or up on the roof have great views. It's really central and has a roof terrace overlooking the town - a good spot for sunset drinks or reading in the shade during the heat of the day. You are near endless restaurants or places to buy a picnic lunch for the beach en route to the ferries to the beach. Our hostess could not have been more helpful, even booking us a taxi for the airport. Highly recommended.

Good value stay, friendly host who met us to hand over the key & show us around & does a great job. Centrally located. Nice little cafe bar (good coffee) downstairs from the property. Great rooftop deck with a few seating areas created where we enjoyed a sundowner & the fantastic views over the rooftops of Olhao. Beautiful sunsets. Thanks for the delicious bottle of wine that we were able to keep in the refrigerator in the communal indoor area. Nice communal space with some cups, saucers, cutlery for usage by guests although no cooking facilities. Useful for ready-made supermarket snacks/food. Also, very useful tourism information in the communal area as well as a folder in our room with ferry times to the islands etc. The room was spacious & comfortable. The shower & basin were in the bedroom (not closed off by a door), but the toilet was. A nice set up. Also a couch & cupboard in the room. Wineglasses provided!

The location is central to the promenade, markets, shops and ferries to the nearby islands where there are beautiful beaches. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice bed and shower. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a microwave and a fridge to store food and drinks. There's a lovely rooftop terrace with views over the town. Andreia was great and was there for anything we needed.

Daniel's communication and flexibility in getting us settled in and comfortable was brilliant. He met us and then took us to one of his guest houses, rather than the hotel. It was an incredible room of the highest quality and so spacious with all the latest features/amenities and a huge bathroom with jacuzzi! It was an amazing stay, even though very short.

Daniel was an exceptional host! Very friendly, helpful and informative about the local area. Only 5 minutes by car from sea front and several restaurants. Simple, but comfortable double room with a very large bathroom with twin basins, bath/shower, loo and bidet. Private balcony was an added bonus. Breakfast buffet was very good including excellent scrambled eggs and bacon.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area ca 600 mts distant to the main road where you find everything you need. Rooms are comfortable, equipped with TV and fridge. Some have a balcony to watch the sunset. Rooms are exceptionally clean with daily service. You can arrange a good breakfast. Owner Daniel is friendly and helpful and has excellent knowledge about the region. He offers laundry service as well. The attached bar is home to a nice cat.

Not in Faro but under €15 taxi (Uber/Bolt) journey from the airport. Quiet rural/suburban location - exceptional room with big balcony - perfect base to explore the beaches, caves and marshes of the Faro peninsula from. Daniel is a genuinely wonderful host - nothing is too much trouble for him - from restaurant recommendations and buying extra eggs for breakfast, to sharing lots of local information and just being great to chat to.

Beautiful house hidden in the small streets of Olhao, amazing panoramic view from the roof terrace with cosy chairs, where I enjoyed breakfast in the morning sun - after a sporty steep climb up the stairs. The room was beautiful, a combination of traditional and rustic elements with modern comfort. Gino and Rosi were so welcoming and went out of their way to make everything great. The breakfast was amazing! Nice kitchen to prepare coffee or something to eat. The location was perfect, a short walk to the market, the Ria Formosa, and the harbour to go to the Islands.

This amazing guest house is a fabulous home away from home! Not only are the rooms extremely clean, they have all the facilities you require for a very comfortable stay. The location of the guest house is absolutely perfect, with everything right on your doorstep or a couple minutes walk away. The breakfast served each morning on the stunning roof terrace is absolutely delicious, 11/10! All fresh local produce and the serving very generous. The best part of this guest house are the amazing hosts, Gino and Rosie. From the moment I was picked up from the airport I was given a very welcome by Gino and Rosie was extremely helpful in providing me with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They truly make you feel right at home and are so willing to give you their time to ensure you have the best stay possible. I've travelled the world solo and not often do I become so attached to a place in such a short period of time but I truly feel that Zenit Guest House is my Portugese home. Thank you for everything Gino and Rosie, I already look forward to my next stay with you!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The guesthouse is located in the heart of the beautiful town of Olhao. There's a terrace with an amazing view over the ocean and the town. Breakfast is served there - and it is delicious! The hosts are very kind and helpful, especially Rosa, who even gave us some useful insider tips on what to see and do in the town. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The house is very cosy and friendly. We recommend it to anyone and we hope to go back!

A wonderful room, very creative and beautifully furnished - we had a balcony facing the street, but it was very quiet. The accommodation is located in the old fishing district of Olhaos, is full of charm, with beautiful tiles and a fantastic roof terrace on different levels. Wonderful to drink coffee up there and look out over the Rio. The breakfast should also be emphasized, which is not only rich and delicious including omelette, fruit and as much coffee/tea as you like, but you also sit very communicatively around the large, round table. We got to know so many nice people! And the hosts themselves are really great, so nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable.

Rose prepared a delicious continental breakfast for each day of our stay. We particularly enjoyed being able to relax with our breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Both Gino and Rose were very friendly and made great suggestions for places to visit on each day of our trip. Gino was available to provide an airport transfer, which was greatly appreciated after a day of travelling. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with a private balcony. The location was in the old part of town, close to the market, local restaurants and shops. There are also easy to use transport links to Faro and islands filled with long sandy beaches.

Casa Rosa is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful and friendly environment for your holiday. I immediately felt welcome. It has a nice design and comfortable beds. But I was much more impressed by the service. I never stayed in a room this clean before. And all the staff are extremely helpful and nice. I received beach towels and a beach bag which I thought was brilliant and so helpful. And there were more little extras I did not expect. The breakfast is great. Coffee and eggs aremade for you as a guest the way you like it so that it is always fresh and there is no waste. And the atmosphere is great. You can get in contact with other guests if you like but you dont have too. It is like a little peaceful oasis in the city center.

Really friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and wonderful accommodation. Staff helped with restaurant and tour bookings. Room well equipped and nicely decorated. A lot of love and thought had clearly gone into the presentation of the whole hotel. Breakfast was superb and having cake and an honesty bar available all day was a nice touch. Ohlao is a wonderful destination for a short break and fun to get the ferry out to the islands. Excellent choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. Go before this place gets discovered and over crowded!

Beatiful renovated house in a central street of Olhão, with a small pool and nice patio. Also has spacious terraces with sitting spots. The facilities were well renovated while maintaining most of the typical aspect, a lot of attention to small details. Excellent breakfast with local and fresh products, everything of good quality. Friendly staff and well maintained space.

It was very peaceful and calm. The decorations were very modern and chic. Everything was clean and tidy It was in a perfect location for everything you wanted to do. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were so thoughtful and created a very relaxing and welcoming environment.

It was very well equipped. Beautiful villa in a nice neighbourhood. Private terrace area for apartment was great, comfortable loungers, an outdoor shower and an amazing view. Bed was comfortable and whole apartment was clean.

Nuno was an amenable and helpful host. Their home is very clean and the room features a comfortable bed with terrace access if needed. The Value for money, considering costs in other, places was fair. A Small kitchenette with all the props was useful. Easy to park outside and it’s safe.

From the pictures here there are 2 appartments. We had the base floor without roof terrace and view. It was very spacious (whole floor) with outside area, BBQ and bikes included. All very clean and Nuno and his wife very helpful and friendly. So we were very happy 😊

Pristine flat, newly done and very comfortable and with everything you need! Beds were really comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped and beautiful spacious space. The bathroom was spotless and very large as well. Nice terrace to relax in the evening

Nuno was very communicative and helpful in advance. Very comfortable apartment, good shower and bed, decent kitchen, all clean. Great outside spaces - on the same level as the apt. (across the hall) with sun lounger and table, and steps up to a great rooftop with more sunloungers and another smaller table with bar-stools.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We were over the road from the sea taxi point which we used to get to the beaches. The Marina Centre was just a few minutes walk from our apartment and had lovely restaurants which served delicious food. There are restaurants within the complex of apartments and these were excellent too. The apartment ticked all the boxes. Spacious. Clean. Comfortable. A/C. Balcony.

The property is located in a easily accessible area of Olhao within easy walking distance of local bars and restaurants, we chose self catering and there are a few choices of supermarket within easy walking distance of the property,there are choices of fresh produce from the local market such as Vegetables ,meat and a wide range of fresh fish and the selection of fresh bread and pastries is eye-opening. A short ferry hop and you are on tranquil beaches with no vehicles ,the locals are very friendly and welcoming . We had a wonderful relaxing holiday .

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the spacious size was especially convenient with two small children. We booked half board, which we did not regret at all. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we especially appreciated that there was a kids’ corner at dinner every day. The selection was varied enough while still perfectly suited to children’s tastes. We also really enjoyed the pool belonging to the apartment – despite the good weather, it was never crowded, which was a big plus for us.

Spacious apartments with a sea view from the balcony. All apartments have a spacious balcony with a sea view. Plenty of free parking, though you might have to park around the corner sometimes. Great restaurants nearby and a great new marina complex with a great nighttime vibe to it, maybe a mix of Portuguese, brazillian and cuban. Local restaurants very, try Cestaria is superb, we suggest for once eating inside. The people at Olhão are mostly Portuguese, Spanish and a few French

The keys to the apartments can be collected at the reception of the neighboring large hotel with a similar name, which is quite comfortable. The apartment is very, large, comfortable, for a family of 4 even comfortable. Additionally, the receptionist was very helpful and changed us an apartment without a sea view to an apartment with a view for the same price. The facility is directly on the promenade by the waterfront, close to nice pubs, bars and restaurants.

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 teenage children. We had a double and a twin room. It was charming and very authentic, slap bang in the old town but quiet at night. Thoughtfully considered and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and good quality linen. The host Isabel was very helpful and friendly too. The front door of the property is a lovely focal point with lots of passers by stopping to take photos! The roof terrace was lovely with great views of the roof tops! Highly recommended and would stay again.

It is indeed the most beautiful house in Olhão! Very well equipped, stylish, clean and comfortable, everything you might need is right around the corner. The most beautiful room has a shared bathroom but I think with just one other room, so it’s perfectly fine and should not keep you from choosing this stunning room. The rooftop is beautiful and very spacey. The art featured in the house is captivating and the whole staff was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Also i need to mention the great coffee! It was delicious and a big compliment for not using Nespresso (and preventing too much waste) .I highly recommend staying here for at least one or more nights, even if you originally just wanted to visit Faro as I did. Not only the house itself is well worth visiting Olhão- you have to enjoy the beautiful portuguese scenery.

Location was perfect, the house was so interesting and quirky, we loved it. The roof garden was amazing. The kitchen facilities were unexpected, providing tea, coffee and breakfast cereal. The entire house was immaculately clean and the staff we met were all friendly. We would stay there again.

Awesome place. Amazing spacious room, with bustling town underneath out the windows, gorgeous views from the rooftop for the sun going down. Isobel and Pedro were both so helpful. Kitchen facility if needed. Town literally outside. Helpful suggestions. Perfect spot.

A stunning historical house with high walls and an awesome rooftop terrace - with the best view of Olhao! It‘s centrally located within all restaurants and the mercado. Comfy bed, clean and super friendly.

Firstly, we got a lovely, warm welcome from the staff, who were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautifully decorated, had a balcony and our own shower and sink. The bed was comfortable, and the room wasn’t too hot at night despite there being no AC (just a ceiling fan). I also noticed right away that the whole place is spotlessly clean, with daily cleaning of rooms. The shared toilets were also very clean and fresh, thankfully! There is a shared kitchen which is open until 10pm (I believe). You can make you tea and coffees (free), store food/drink in the fridge or freezer and cook your own meals while there. They just ask you to keep it clean. There is a lot to love about this place but the rooftop terrace steals the show. It is just beautiful, especially to have a morning coffee while watching the sunrise, or a bottle of wine whilst watching sunset. There are lots of tables and chairs, as well as a barbecue. Overall this place is really really great, and I’m so happy we found it. I would love to stay again, thanks!

Sounds an exaggeration, but it was probably the best room I have ever had in my life. Nothing luxurious, but in its simplicity it was just perfect. Clean and cozy, beautiful and an elegant yet simple style even in the smallest details.Comfortable bed and clean sheet. Maybe a bit expensive for Portuguese standard, but definitely worth the money. Terrace has a wonderful view. The only negative is that I stayed only for one night, wish it was longer

The location is right in the middle of old Olhao and makes it a perfect place to stay. It is a short walk down narrow beautiful alleyways front the waterfront and the view from the roof is superb. I had breakfast and late night drinks on the roof watching sunrise and sunset. The rooms are clean,tidy and simply made out although toilets are shared but always clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen facilities were simple but worked

The place is very clean and comfortable, our room had a shower and basin and the bed was very nice. Staff were very attentive and helped us organize trips into the islands and even lent us a beach umbrella. The rooftop area is exceptional as well, and the location is perfect - just a three minute walk to the market.

Pension Bicuar was an excellent place to stay. It is situated in the old part of Olhao and central to everything - the waterfront, the ferry across to the beach, restaurants and cafes, a supermarket, and the train station. The accommodation is super clean and staff are lovely. There is an amazing roof-top outdoor area with incredible 360-degree views of Olhao and the Ria Formosa. This is also a great place to catch a cool breeze and watch the sunset. There is a shared kitchen where you can leave your food in the fridge if you want to prepare meals at home. The kitchen is kept immaculately clean, and everyone was very respectful of the shared space.
