One of the best apartments we stayed in! Very comfortable bed, big walk in wardrobe and private tarace with jacuzzi bath. Location was great too, close to restaurants and shops. The only nagative would be noise at night but it didn't bother me therefore I am still leaving a full star review! 100% recommend if you are planning a trip to Playa del Carmen.

Hotel feels relatively new. Pool area was fantastic, so was the lobby, bar/cafeteria and the inner garden. Room albeit a bit cramped was clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable too. Good wifi. Good sized balcony. Hotel is really close to the beach, 5th Avenue, shopping malls and the pier where you take the ferries to Cozumel Island. Everything is steps away. Hotel offers underground parking area which is very, very convenient if you have a rental car. Breakfast, while not much to choose from, was tasty and well prepared. We needed a late checkout and they kindly let us use the pool area and the parking until it was time to leave.

This is a lovely hotel! The room was a great size with two double beds and big bathroom. Everything was clean and well kept. There was a small balcony too. The rooftop pool and terrace are great, with views over the coast and a range of sunloungers, sofas and beds. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. The location is a 5 min walk to the beach and Main Street of playa del carmen. It’s also not far to walk to the ferry port to Cozumel.

Second time here.. first time in may 2023. Fantastic. Clean property that combines jungle and ocean front rooms in spectacular views. Very friendly staff. Very calming setting and set ip to be that way. If you are a cruise person who likes to trip over by people and having people right and left, this is not for you. If you like quietness, serenity, and nature, this is the spot for you. Food? Yes it is vegan resort. I am mostly carnivore and came back here as the quality is really good. You have three main restaurants that re open, Su Casa, Ume, and Lek. The Mar De Olive that is advertised online on the website is closed but you can get some of its menu out of Su Casa. In addition to the above, there is a Taco truck that has been also closed (can get its food from Su Casa) and a Cafe (Plantis) Out of the above, for dinner, Ume is ghe best. It is Japanese fusion Second is Su Casa, which has great food and nice views as it is ocean front and open for breakfast and lunch. Open for dinner too but see note below. Third is Lek which is ok. Note: Dinner used to rotate where u have two options a night, now only one place a night open for dinner. While this can be a bit annoying, still didn’t affect the overall experience and we didn’t feel that the food was redundant. Childcare: available at the kids club they have and very nice. Available for three ans above to be left there and potty trained. Otherwise, you have to clarify with them as this changes. Spa: amazing and a must.

This place was amazing from start to finish. When we arrived we were given a tour of the grounds and taken to a restaurant on the beach while we waited for our rooms. We were introduced to our concierge who helped us throughout the trip with reservations and anything we needed. The resort, the beach, the pools, the rooms were all beautiful. The food was delicious and amazing. Even my picky kids loved the food. Me and my husband really loved the cocktails. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the classes and yoga and all they had to offer. It was saragassum season but the staff did a great job of clearing it away from the beach. There was only one day where the water wasn’t ideal to swim in so we spent the day at the pool. We will definitely be visiting here again.

Wonderful Palmaya Getaway! Our recent vacation in Palmaya was truly lovely, largely thanks to this exceptional hotel. The services were consistently excellent, and we were so impressed by the friendly and polite staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. The balanced, plant-based food was a delightful surprise, always fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the beach bar, which offered a wonderfully friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Argenis, the bartender, deserves a special mention for his professionalism. He possesses a remarkable talent for mixing well-balanced cocktails that are both delicious and beautifully presented. He also thoughtfully prepared a special tea for us. We had a great time and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Palmaya.!

From the moment I saw the pics of Palmaia on Instagram I knew it was a place i needed to visit and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The moment you step inside the reception area you are greeted with warm smiles and a delicious welcome drink. You are assigned nomadic guides that send you a list of activities for the day attached with beautiful messages, they would also make your dinner reservation, which was something I appreciated and had not received at other wellness resorts. My nomadic guides, Karen & Esteban were the best!! The grounds were immaculate, the food a work of art, the entire staff always greeted you with warm smiles, and a friendly greeting. The activities left me feeling light, rejuvenated, relaxed, and peaceful. The bike rides were my absolute favorite!! The beach bar was always a great time with the fire pit, DJ, and drinks. The ambiance in all of the restaurants were beautiful 😍 Ume was my favorite for dinner. Plantissa was my favorite for breakfast the ladies there are so sweet!! I can't forget Charly's Vegan Taco trunk that serves the best food!! Palmaia gave me the connections I craved, not only to nature but with others. Everyone I encountered on my journey was special, the conversations were authentic and oftentimes filled with laughter 🙏🏽 Thank you again to Karen and Esteban, Raul & Oscar, Daniel at Charly's Taco Truck, your kindness was appreciated and I will see you all soon 🙏🏽🥰

Gorgeous natural location—cenotes were wonderful! Wonderful spacious room with a great view! I had no desire to leave the facility because they offered everything that I needed and more! The atmosphere was serene, quiet, and peaceful. I went for an art retreat and the staff was incredibly hospitable. My Nomadic Guide Esteban was helpful and kept me informed daily of all the offerings. I had a massage which was out of this world! The lava rock steam room and swimming in my own cenote while a big iguana watched me the whole time, was incredible! The juice bar girls were so accommodating and friendly daily. Even though I am not a vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed every dish that was offered in each restaurant—at first, I could not believe that I was not eating meat! Quite tasty! Shoutout to Charley’s Vegan Taco truck workers (2)—they were great. The experience was out of this world! Thanks to everyone who made it so special. I am planning on returning next year already!

This place like its name says it’s Magical! Not only that, it will be part of my life journey since this is where I proposed to my fiancee. The people of Mahekal went above and beyond to help me create the most beautiful magical day for my girl and the perfect romantic dinner by the beach. A sunset in the Caribbean with the perfect atmosphere for me and my love. We couldn’t be more grateful and Mahekal was an amazing place for this epic event. The hotel has its own mystical vibe. It basically looks like a little town in the middle of the jungle with top of the line rooms which might as well be a set of a jungle film. An amazing luxury hotel with so many amenities including a pool and jacuzzi by the beach. The service and people in it are warm and welcoming. If God allows it, we would be more than happy to have our wedding there. Shout out to Roberto who went above and beyond and then some to make our stay and experience unforgettable. Little details here and there and after the proposal we received a beautiful gift in our room. A wonderful touch from the people in Mahekal to make our special day even more memorable. I cannot praise this place enough. Solid 10000 out of 10. Magical beautiful luxury place.

Loved this resort. Celebrated my 60th birthday with a group of 9-17 depending on the day and couldn’t have picked a better place. The whole staff was incredible, friendly, and helped out with the celebration dinner on our last night. The resort is beautiful and the perfect size. I don’t care for big resorts so really appreciated the bungalow accommodations. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The toilet is typical for this area, don’t expect a powerful flush. I appreciated the no TVs in the rooms. The location in PDC was convenient to shops and restaurants. There are some beach clubs nearby but the I wasn’t bothered by any noise. The beach is not large and most of it is public but plenty of lounge chairs to use. The pools were nice and we always had great service for ordering food and drinks. I loved my stay. It made my celebration magical! Thank you Mahekal Beach Resort!

This was a superior stay. There was nothing about this beautiful place that wasn't done well. The location is the stand out exceptional quality. We stayed in a palapas on the ocean front and it was wonderful. Steps to the beach with perfect swimming. Hammocks and table on our porch to take in the view. The room was beautifully decorated and housecleaning came by daily and left beautiful decorations. There were thoughtful touches throughout our stay there, including chocolate turtles left to say goodbye. The grounds were immaculately kept, ample relaxed entertainment including pool, chess, swim up bars, a boutique, an onsite coffee shop, spa, and bikes available. The breakfast and dinner buffets were rich, varied, and fresh. Staff was impeccable with courtesy, respect, and helpfulness. We felt genuinely welcome and cared for while we were there.

The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. The large crew of staff were so kind and genuinely friendly. The breakfast buffet was delightful. The grilled food at Fuego was great. The beach near Fuego is gorgeous and peaceful, and never too crowded, with amazing beach beds. The Las Olas infinity pool is gorgeous, with easy access to the bar and great service. We can't wait to go back!

Loved the grounds, very jungle-y and beautiful and relaxing. It wasn’t too large so it was easy to get around, there’s a lot of beautiful nature sounds with all the birds and creatures. Sounds like you’re sleeping to a sound machine. We enjoyed our terrace with the hammocks, he beach was beautiful. The food was good at the restaurants, the drinks were also delicious. Loved the location, it’s on a beautiful street with lots of trees and restaurants and bars. There’s also an Oxxo across the street so that’s convenient.

The rooftop was great. Chilled area with seating and pool and jacuzzi, totally free and can take your own alcohol. Gym was basic but fine, with AC. I slept well in bed each night although it's NOISEY! construction starts before 8am and goes till 11. I was on floor 5 and you can hear ALL sounds in the corridor etc, but it was fine. Room a little small but it did the job and shower etc totally fine. The AEREOCAFE down stairs is cool! Got morning coffee and breakfast HOWEVER behind the library wall they have a secret speakeasy bar. It's super cute, GO! have a mescal old fashioned.

We stayed in "luxury Suite with garden view private balcony" this is at the back of the building looking out over a large tree with an angled view of the local airport. It is quiet and away from the road (only a handful of hobby planes/ helicopters come and go in a day). This is a high quality spacious room with a pleasant balcony (including a hanging egg chair) and good quality shower (with hot water!) There are two cooking rings which work well, big fridge/freezer and plenty of cooking equipment (although no kettle or coffee maker). Everything is well presented and high quality. The AC works well. The pool on the roof is fun with a good view (nice at sunset and in the morning). A few things were still being finished or painted while we were there but value for money was very good for the city. It is a very short walk from fifth avenue and Juarez and eight or nine blocks (west) to a large supermarket beside the collectivo vans to Tulum (or the cenotes and rio secreto).

Very modern and comfortable apartments close to the center but far away enough from the hustle and bustle. Short walk to Playacar which is a nice and relatively quiet beach. The apartment was very nice and spacious, kitchen well equipped. The entire building is quite new so everything was working fine and there was no wear and tear anywhere. The rooftop area and swimming pool with the view of the sea are a great bonus. Some people complained about the noise in the reviews but during my stay, it was super quiet and peaceful. The apartments are connected by a door (locked, of course) so I can imagine it might be an issue if you have noisy neighbors but in my case, there were no problems at all. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

The location of this place is just fantastic - so close to all the necessary amenities, restaurants, bars and night life as everything is a 5 min walk, yet very quiet and peaceful. There was building security in the lobby at all times, code to get into the building and a good amount of cameras, the place feels very safe. The building amenities are also great, rooftop pool and lounge are a great option if you’d like to skip the beach for a day. The room itself was very spacious, great kitchen and all cooking utensils and cutlery provided. Internet was very reliable, Smart TV and AC unit right were also great. Entire stay had great value.

The best indicator of whether a resort was good is by saying youd be back. I would love to come to this resort. Our room had a jacuzzi on the patio. We did not go to the beach area but rather really enjoyed the salt water pool. We had no problems finding lounge chairs by any of the pools. The food was quite good. The service exeptional! They do go above and beyond for their clients. The ebutlers were great! We were able message them and get our questions answered quickly. We had no issues booking restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

We went to TRS for a girls' trip and were impressed with the property. The lobby/main building is beautiful, and check-in went smoothly. We stayed in Villa 69, directly across from the smaller, more chill pool. We had jacuzzi poolside suites that were very spacious and clean. There are a lot of mirrors and areas to get ready and store your clothes and toiletries. Robes and slippers. The e-butlers were great in helping us with reservations, drinks for the room, cart service throughout the property, etc. The food at the restaurants was a bit hit or miss for us. We especially liked the food at Capricho and La Boheme. The Chic Caberet is fun but not as sexy as you imagine by the dancers before the show. The infinity pool was our favorite. We were too scared to get into the saltwater one. We did the hydro experience at the spa, which was "ok". Drinks were ever-flowing and not watered down. Room service late at night was terrible and took 2 hours for delivery. Our other hiccup was that the bellman didn't pick me up with my daughters as arranged, which caused a delay, stress, and a rushed breakfast before our transport arrived. This is an excellent place for a more relaxing and quiet vacation. If you want a nightclub and a crazy pool-side party vibe, you will end up at their sister Colonial property for a swim-up bar and live music. Shout out to Belen, Hugo, Alejandro and Nestor.

This was my husband and my first time in Mexico and we couldn't have chosen a better resort. The resort itself is beautiful and the staff is so friendly. We stayed in Villa 69 in a Jr. Jacuzzi Suite and it was perfect. Our butlers Ricardo and Lisandra handled our every need, no matter how big (like needing a new T.V because ours malfunctioned) or small (like insisting on getting us ice). We enjoyed all of the food and drink options offered and had reservations at El Gaucho (10/10), Tentazione (10/10), and La Boheme (only had dessert but 7/10). We were surprised with rose petals on our table at Tentazione for our 5 year weddings anniversary, with chocolate writing on our dessert plate, with rose petals on our bed on the last night, and with a bottle of Chebrie. The pools were amazing and the beach was stunning. We participated in Bingo which was the Every employee and staff member in all of the Grand Palladium Resorts were professional, friendly, and a joy to interact with. We were saddened that we had to leave, but are excitedto come back in the future. A special shout out to Ricardo and Lisandra for everyhting they did, the expedia Ambassador Fernanda Garcia Pichardo for organizing the special touches (rose petals and wine), and to the staff of Tentazione (Hostesses Ivonne and Sayta, waiter Pedro and manager Adilene) for making our dinner so special.

Nice to have butlers in the building. Jose, Patricia & Nestor were very helpful & kind. We were locked out of our room due to door lock batteries being dead & within a few minutes, someone was at our door to help us with the help of our butlers. The balcony sliding door should have door handles to open from outside so you can sit on balcony & not worry about being locked out. Nice L'Occitane toiletries. It would be nice to provide mosquito repellent.A la Carte restaurant food was just ok. Difficult to get reservations for some restaurants, so recommend booking all restaurants on the day of check in. We did not get to try the Italian restaurant. Good service and food at the French restaurant and special thanks to the manager Jonathan and our server Erasmo. The Poseidon restaurant is not well marked and signage is not adequate to know that you are in the right place. There is no sign at the hostess stand. The only sign for the restaurant is at the bar. All the tables are outside, so got bitten by sand flies.Helios restaurant has lunch & breakfast buffet, but they don't tell you that until you get to restaurant. Food quality for breakfast and lunch were good, but almost the same items everyday. Entertainment team did a good job with exercise classes in the morning. Shout out to Fernando and Alex for their hard work!. Thanks to Arturo, the trainer in the gym for good Pilates & TRX workout. Tennis courts are well-maintained with 5 courts & 4 pickleball courts, Padel,

The TRS Yucatan was gorgeous. The adults only infinity pool was stunning and was where we spent most of our day given that the sea moss was very bad and we were unable to enjoy the actual beach. The butler at the hotel was very convenient and made booking dinners, getting room service, etc a breeze. The gym was phenomenal and having both a "yoga" side and a weights/cardio side was a nice touch. While we walked the property, people were also able to get carts around to the different areas because the property is huge. You also get access to the sister properties so if you wanted to get dinner anywhere else you could. There were some issues that came up, but the staff were very apologetic and made it a point to make up for any concerns. The spa was beautiful, and the hydro therapy circuit was something I really enjoyed despite being very hesitant at first. The food was fantastic and every restaurant had truly unique offerings. There was always something going on at night, and the bars being open late was fun. Unfortunately I had to do work in the mornings during my visit, and since there was not a coffee shop (they should add one) I spent my mornings at the Capricho Restaurant and the staff made it a perfect spot. They were always welcoming and made my coffee orders perfect every time. Special thanks to Montserrant, Paula, Jennifer, and Laura for making my mornings peaceful and enjoyable :) Also special thanks to Jonathan the manager for being truly humble and kind.

My wife, & I stay at The Edition Riviera Maya this past weekend for her birthday. The property was gorgeous, although the weather wasn’t. Unfortunately, it’s still the end of the hurricane season in Mexico. Thank God, we did get some sunshine though. The place is gorgeous! Every single person was warm, & kind to us. The prices for food, & drinks were expensive, be prepared! I believe they also said that they were holding $450 a night on my credit card, which I thought was unusually high, but I had no problem with checking in or checking out. I felt like the Edition was missing 1 all day casual dining restaurant. I don’t know if it’s because the property is new, & they plan on building some else later or not. They didhave the pool restaurant and room service were available, But it would’ve been nice to have a nice restaurant to eat inside in the AC during the day. I did go next-door to the Saint Regis to eat it one of their restaurants, Torro! That restaurant was truly amazing! I suggest you eat at least one meal there during your day. Trust me it will be worth it! They were able to take us over there by golf cart, too! The only thing negative I have to say about my whole experience is the bartenders down at the beach bar did not make drinks at all. After ordering a few cocktails, & asking for one to be switched out, because it was so bad, which they did do for us…. the bartenders at the beach bar really need to be retrained. It’s pretty bad. Overall, I love this place though.

The attention to detail was started from the moment I booked the resort. Kelvin and I were impressed that our room was upgraded to an ocean view along with it being ready prior to 3pm. We met out butler/concierge Edgardo who was simply amazing. He showed us around the property and took us to the Kitchen to grab a bite before we went to see our room. Our amazing server Guti and the staff made an amazimg french toast surprise for Kevin for his bday. It was simply amazing and decadant (he loves sweets). Then when we went to the room, the fruit display and dessert was another added touch and surprise. Everything tasted amazing that we tried each time. The pool was such a vibe as well. I ordered these amazing steak tacos. Omg..they were worth every penny plus the view was priceless. Not to mention The Kitchen manager Nazarely and Chef Cecillo made Kelvin this dessert called "Torrija." Omg that was oh so amazing bc we didnt make it back to grab dessert the night before. Chef Cecillo made the dessert for us and he and Nazarely brought it to us. I loved the high- touch and extra mile service. If you are a true foodie fan, every meal we ate was amazing. Shout out to one of the hostess Dania and her coworker. Many thanks to Nadine who took pictures of me in the lobby bar. If you were on the fence for booking this 5 star resort, dont hesitate. We had a blast and Kelvin wants to book to return for his bday next year. We will be back!

On a recent girls' trip to Riviera Maya, we visited Sool Beach Club for dinner on recommendation from a friend who had recently stayed at the hotel. It was absolutely our favorite meal of the trip and so memorable. The ambiance was perfect, the space and people were beautiful, everything was so well thought out. Peep the attached picture for the vibes! The true standout of the restaurant however, is the service. We got so lucky to have Izzy taking care of us! Not only was he incredibly attentive to anything we wanted, but he was also genuinely charming and kept us laughing the whole night. He definitely made the evening, giving us the best recommendations and making us feel special. This place isn't all show no go, however. The food is also incredible! The seafood was insanely fresh and all the flavors were spot on. Thanks to Izzy for a perfect wine recommendation to a group of girls with varying tastes. If you're looking for a dinner spot that nails the ambiance and delivers top-tier service, you have to go. And trust me, ask for Izzy – he's the absolute sweetest! It's a must-do for a memorable night out with your favorite people.

We decided to stay at the Edition after reading the reviews on this platform. Best decision ever. The beach was marvelous. The music at the pool restaurant was simply fantastic, we Shazamed all day. You must try the lobster roll and the oysters were real fresh and delicious. Service was beyond our expectations. Marko explained all the menu and gave us great recommendations. Shout out to Izzy who went all the way during our stay to make sure everything was perfect. He even brought food from other restaurant just to pamper us. Everyone was so attentive and polite. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We even had a little pool on the balcony. Thank you for a great couple of days. We'll definitely be back.

I decided to try the Spa on a rainy day. My neck, shoulders and back were killing me. This Spa experience was outstanding!!! From check in until check out, everything was perfect! A lady who took care of me so well was Selma. Her hospitality instantly made me feel relaxed. I enjoyed steam sauna and Jacuzzi first. My massage therapist, Mindy was the best!!! Under the fantastic aroma which surrounded me, she took me to the heaven for 60 minutes. I am a spa maniac, I recommend you to check this place out 100%. It’s so worth it!! Thanks for taking good care of me everyone there!! You guys are the best!

What we loved most about this property was its natural beauty and ecosystem layout. It’s divided into three main areas, each with its own charm. The main hotel area is calm and well-designed, with two restaurants, a spa, and a peaceful pool that’s often empty—perfect for a quiet break. The boat dock allows for a tour of the property that you will want to schedule with the attendant located by the dock. This is also where you will pick up bikes and chauffeur golf carts to travel throughout the property. The carts and bikes were extremely convenient and so much apart of the charm. The second area is centered around a large pool complex with separate family and adult pools, two more restaurants, and a cozy café. We loved the quiet view from the adult pool and an afternoon Affogato from Maya‘s Café. The beach club is the standout. The pool overlooks a wide stretch of beach with plenty of room to relax or play. We enjoyed all of the activities, including the catamaran (an 30ish minute tour was complementary and booked same day) and a sunrise paddleboard out to the core reef (fee based)—Darwin was a great guide. Around the property, you’re still within the Mayakoba and we felt extremely safe and relaxed taking walks on the nature trail pre-dinner and riding bikes to the cenote.

We just finished a 4‑night, 5‑day stay at the Fairmont Heritage Place Mayakoba, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Our Garden Three-Bedroom Luxury Residence had an incredible amount of space—perfect for spreading out as a family—while still feeling cozy and welcoming. The private pool made it feel like our own little retreat in the middle of the jungle. The true stars of our stay were our butlers, Jhovany and Marlon. They were absolutely wonderful—always attentive, thoughtful, and somehow managing to keep everything running seamlessly in the background. From coordinating meals to helping with little details we didn’t even think of, they made our trip effortless. We loved exploring the resort’s dining options: La Laguna, Tauro, La Brisas, Hix Bar, and Fuego all offered delicious meals, and the cocktails at Cielo were a highlight of our evenings. The setting itself is magical—the lush jungle surroundings, the beautiful beach, and the sense of calm everywhere you go. One of the most memorable experiences was a private half‑day tour of the Mayan ruins at Tulum. It was the perfect balance of history, culture, and adventure, and a wonderful complement to the relaxation we enjoyed at the resort. Overall, our time at Fairmont Heritage Place Mayakoba was unforgettable. Between the spacious villa, the outstanding butler service, and the stunning setting, it’s a place we’d return to in a heartbeat.

Fairmont mayakoba was amazing, from the time we got there to the time we left everything was top notch. We had been assigned our own “butler” (Jhovany) who was there to assist with dinner reservations, transportation, activities, ETC. The room was spacious and luxurious, we upgraded to a casita at check in and it was wonderful. There are golf carts that take you throughout the properly as well as bikes and great walking paths. The beach was very nice, from beautiful water to the best sand I’ve ever stepped on. We did the jet ski and snorkeling and both were amazing and decent value. Spa was amazing 10/10. Golf course on property was 10/10 and my caddie Yonny was amazing. We will definitely be back!!! The only downside was not much to do for a young couple at night other than have dinner or drinks at a chill bar but if you’re a big partier you’re probably not staying there anyways.

Just returned from a four night stay in beautiful Mayakoba Mexico. This was probably one of the best resorts in Mexico that I have stayed at. The service, the rooms, the resort, and the amenities were all amazing! We did not do the all inclusive option but our booking included the buffet breakfast which had everything we needed. We weren’t aware that we had butler service included with our reservation. Javier and Ali were the assigned butlers for our 2 rooms. They were so helpful and responsive. They helped familiarize us with the property and amenities, adjusted our dinner reservations, arrange transportation, booked activities, and were always available to answer our questions. The resort is simply beautiful! It underwent a complete renovation just a few years ago. Everything looks brand new. The beach club with the beach side pools are a highlight. Alberto led the mixology class at Cielo rooftop - a great bar tender and a fun teacher! The class was included for no additional cost (even better lol). All the included activities were great - we biked the nature trail, we did hat painting, catamaran’s on the beach, a visit to the butterfly sanctuary, and a guided cenote visit. The morning Eco tour with bird watching is a highlight - not to be missed! Our boat captain, Miguel, was funny (which we needed to wake up at 7:30am) and also very knowledgeable about the local wildlife! It is the most popular activity there, so make sure to reserve it as soon as you can.

As usual another so/so hotel in Playa, they seem to all have maintenance issues, this one is no exception. Nothing major just a lot of little things here and there. Not sure if the jacuzzi was ever heated but it was as cold as the pool for our stay, electrical wire found coming out of where the light once was, under the water, live...? No hammock or chairs on our balcony, we didn't ask about it, just took the one from inside out. The "free breakfast" is literally a few slices of bread/toast and jam and juice or coffee, that's it. We usually do airbnb's but this was just a 2 night stay so gave it a try.

Staff were very friendly with excellent English, and were very helpful with booking taxis and local information, The room was modern and clean with large, comfortable bed, excellent shower and a safe. Breakfast was at the attached salad bar 'Green and fit'' and offered a good range of breakfast items, fruit, juice and coffee. Pool area was well maintained and clean with sun loungers and nice views of the area. Pool was a good size for a quick dip with a large attached spa bath. The hotel is well situated for local restaurants, bars and shops without being noisy at night,

Stayed at Soho Playa in PDC for 6 days. Excellent service from the start. Very friendly and helpful and accommodating the entire time. Convenient location, secure free parking, easy street parking if wanted, and very much in the heart of the nightlife area. My only complaint was the shower head was a bit weak. The shower at the pool had a better head and I would have preferred in my bathroom. Pool on the roof and rooftop area was all very nice and fun to enjoy after a day exploring. Can’t say enough nice things about the service and the friendly staff. Excellent in every way.

We were looking for a new travel experience, far away from the all inclusive packages. This hotel was a pearl not luxury, but well maintained. Well located, close to the playa del Carmen downtown, 1 minute walk to 5th avenue. New staff of the hotel was very kind. We didn't try the breakfast, because we wanted to enjoy the typical food at restaurants, so I don't have any comment on this. The roof pool was refreshing, specially after a full day walking at 5th av. Also, beach is a 10 minutes walk. We arrived to playa del Carmen taking the ADO bus on terminal 2 of Cancun airport, it was cheaper than taking a taxi, once in playa del carmen we walked (20 minutes from turistic ADO terminal) to get to the hotel. We booked a all inclusive to Xel-ha and xelha bus picked up and dropped us at the end of the day at Plaza las Perlas (10 minutes walk). If you are looking for a more freedom trip, this is the perfect hotel. There is a construction next to the hotel, so during day, you can hear some bangs at your room, but this is normal and completely out of control of the hotel administration. If you want to try a new travel experience this is the right hotel for you ;)

We stayed at Soho Playa for 5 nights and we were super comfortable. The rooms are big, have everything you need, a fridge, AC, big bathrooms, a little terrace, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. I had some requests and they not only provided what I needed but exceeded my expectations. I read many reviews and people were complaining about the breakfast and i do not undertand, it is better than nothing, you get coffe and bread take it or leave it, it is included, at least it is something. Also it is very convenient that they are next to a juice/salad/poke bowl place, we ate there a few times. The location was really good, they came to clean once every two days which was good enough for us. I really wanted to thank Gabriela becuase she went above and beyond when i had a request, she helped us out so much during out stay. The only thing i would say they could improve is the common terrace in the pool area, it looks like it needs more maintenance, but it works for the purpose of using the pool to relax for a bit.

Every part of our stay was perfect down to every last detail! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive—we didn’t have to lift a finger :)The staff literally took care of everything. Food was excellent in every regard and the property was immaculate. We’d return to stay at Maroma without a second thought.

This is the best and most beautiful hotel we have ever been so far.. Everyone in the hotel is extremely caring and nice, food is amazing, every restaurant is unique, the level on detail is perfect! Unrivaled service. There is not the word No in their vocabulary. The restaurants are exceptional and the setting is ideal. The place is perfect for relaxation and to switch off.

The location is great and feels secluded, staff we’re all excellent. We had a beach side suite which was spacious and straight onto the beach. The best bed I think I’ve ever slept in!

Wonderful experience in every way. The attentiveness of the staff, the authenticity of everyone we met, the excellent food, comfort of the room were all outstanding. But, the most special part of the experience was the subtle Mayan influence that clearly, for those of us who are healers, found quite wonderful. We celebrated our 36 years of marriage in Maroma.

We had a fantastic stay at the Viceroy. From the moment we arrived it was first class the entire time. We used the resort car service which was nice to not have to hassle with the taxis when we arrived at the airport. Straight through the chaos, to our car and away we went. Greeted with drinks and quick lay of the land and shown to our bungalow after the financials were handled. Could not have been happier with #34. It was off the main path, plenty of privacy and extremely clean. Great plunge pool was used daily/nightly. Hammock needs changed as the ends were too close and couldn’t lay back. Room was amazing. No complaints. Clean, cool and comfortable. Outdoor shower was exceptional and almost every shower was taken outdoors. Entire setup was perfect we really felt like we were there alone. Food was very good. Menu selections had a nice variety. My girlfriend is a vegetarian so I was a little worried about finding options for here but wait staff understood and were helpful in making sure she had choices. Beach was the least impressive of the entire facility. It was nice but not great and was rocky as other reviews suggest. Would not go for the beach specifically but pool area was great. All staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Could not have been happier and it didn’t feel forced. Bottom line is we will be back and excited for another trip. You won’t be disappointed. Could be a bit noisy on the weekends from neighbor resort. It was on Friday.

Our room was amazing. We upgraded to beach view My daughters rooom was also very cool and spacious. But not as cool as the beach view The food was good and the staff was amazing ! Coolest huts and so roomy ! Beach was a bit rocky but beach service was amazing

We had the most incredible stay at the Viceroy in Playa del Carmen. From the moment we arrived, everything felt personalized and peaceful. The property itself is a tropical oasis—lush, quiet, and beautifully maintained. It feels like a world away, even though it’s just a short distance from the buzz of town. What really made our trip unforgettable was the service, especially at the beach. Pepe, the beach attendant, went above and beyond every single day. Whether it was setting up the perfect lounge chairs, keeping us cool with drinks, or anticipating what we might need before we even asked, he brought warmth and care that made us feel so well taken care of. He’s a true gem. The rooms were luxurious and private, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff throughout the resort were consistently kind and attentive. We left feeling totally relaxed and already dreaming of our next visit.

We had the most amazing stay at Viceroy Riviera Maya. Tucked away in the jungle, it feels incredibly private and peaceful – like your own little paradise. Our villa was beautiful, with a private plunge pool, outdoor shower, and the kind of calm you only find in nature. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home from day one. The food was delicious, especially breakfast by the beach – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Just quiet luxury, thoughtful details, and a real connection to the surroundings. We left feeling recharged and already dreaming of coming back. Thanks!

Very clean, excellent food at all restaurants, coffee was amazing loved the little coffee shop by the piano bar. Short distances to walk for food and to rooms which was fantastic. The beach is amazing as well as the water, take floaties it was awesome . They do an incredible job of keeping the beach clean and seaweed free as best they can. Loved all the shade at the pool easy to get out of the sun. Great options and service for drinks and delivery to the beach . Several pool options to choose from which is nice. Staff all very helpful and friendly. We loved Alex at Aquapump. Many activities you can choose from throughout the day . Shower in the room was amazing we had no loss of water or hot water. The grounds are stunning and so well kept. Gym equipment was great ,not busy and all usable, nothing broken. Sunrises were amazing here and beach great to walk either direction. Some erosion to maneuver towards ferry terminal but not hard.

Overall the stay was amazing. The two criticism would be 1) the humidity in the room wash horrible; the sheets on the bed felt wet all the time and our clothes felt wet all the time. 2) The food in the restaurants was just ok; the steakhouse never cooked our steaks properly, but the buffet was amazing for all breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good stuff: The care of the property is amazing, beach amazing, staff amazing, buffet amazing. The resort is very clean, restrooms very clean. Downtown playa del carmen is about a 20 minute walk away; easy access. Shopping very close to the resort. I would definitely come back but wished the room would be drier, so I don't feel wet all the time.

Riu Palace Mexico is a very nice hotel to spend your vacation. We have been to this hotel 9 times. We feel the staff at this place is the best. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The beach during our 9 night stay wasn't very good. The sargassum was in full season. We mostly spent the days around the pool. Javi took care of us very well. He is a fantastic waiter and person. Jose Luis was also an excellent bartender. Most of our evening meals we ate at the buffet. We did try the steakhouse one night, but the ribs weren't very tender. My husband enjoyed a bowl of ice cream with fresh raspberries and blackberries almost every night. The choices for the evening buffet were varied, but the beef options were always over-cooked. When at a 5 star resort, we feel the shrimp should be peeled some of the time. Too messy if not peeled. We wish the Italian ala cart restaurant had a similar menu as the Riu Playacar. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job, our room was made up early every day. Eleana and her staff at the lobby bar were so much fun every night. She remembered our drink order and made our drinks delicious. Her margaritas and brandy old fashioneds were the best. The live bands early in the evening are a very nice touch that we enjoyed. As with most Riu's the staff make us come back often. Check in and check out staff along with the bellman were always friendly and efficient. We will absolutely be back!

Arrived March 8th and stayed 8 full days departing on March 16th. We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Riu Palace Mexico and will be coming back! Food at all the specialty restaurants and buffet was excellent. The beach area was beautiful and in spite of the strong winds the staff worked tirelessly to keep the seaweed raked up and cleared. Never an issue to find the perfect chaise lounges. The pool area was great, lots of fun, excellent service at the swim up bar, especially from Mario. Entertainment staff was very engaging and fun, but respected your request to just chill by the pool. Erick, Paoula, Yessi and the rest of the entertainment staff were friendly and made the days by the pool and the evenings in the courtyard much more fun. Our rooms were always cleaned very well when requested and ample bottled water, beer and other spirits were always kept fully stocked. Bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked well and Wi-Fi access was good anywhere on the resort, even by the beach. The grounds were immaculate, hats off the maintenance staff. We met and enjoyed the company of new friends from the US, Canada, South America and many European countries. Overall we enjoyed our stay here very much!

We have just returned from Riu Palace Mexico and can honestly say this place is amazing. Yes the rooms are a little dated but they are spotless and maintained daily beautifully, the amenities are great and the mini bar is brill. Food is 5 star, so much choice and really fresh and tasty. The staff are so attentive and friendly. We visited the Steakhouse and the Italian and both were superb. The pool scene is great, lively or quiet whichever you prefer and sunbeds are readily available. Special mention to Rigo and Elena from the Lobby bar, absolutely fantastic people. Also go and listen to the Pianist in the lobby bar most nights, he is so good and will play most thing s you ask for.

Our stay at El Beso Ocean Riviera Paradise was absolutely amazing! The resort is stunning, the staff is exceptional, and the nightly theatre shows are top-tier entertainment with incredible performers. The staff are amazing and really work hard, to the point they even clean seaweed off the beach with shovels daily to make the beach look nice for guests, I mean that is beyond expectation. The staff in all the restaurants and on the grounds are absolutely lovely and always I’ve smiles on their faces. The food choices are awesome, so much choices, the coffee shop is phenomenal, absolutely amazing coffee, and the staff in there work hard. They could use a second or third coffee shop as the line in the mornings is about a 35-40 minute wait to get the small coffee they offer. Definitely need another shop. What made this place even more special was the wildlife—the adorable coatis (kundamundis) and playful monkeys were an absolute highlight, adding so much charm and excitement to our stay. A special shoutout to Marco, the concierge, for going above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, a great guy who looks out for you, the hotel did great to hire concierge like this. If you’re looking for beautiful surroundings, great food choices amazing service, and unique wildlife encounters, this is the place to be!

The service of the people who worked there was amazing! We have never had such good customer service. Angel at the privilege club was so nice and friendly and did everything in his power to make sure we had the best possible stay! His friendly demeanour and smile made our day: Likewise, Liliana was so helpful to us during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was so friendly, the beach facilities were amazing and the food was delicious. It was the perfect place to relax!

We were in El Beso, adults only building which was very quiet and it was on the end closest to the restaurants, shop and lobby. This made for a very quick and easy walk to everything. The beach was the furthest away, but trams ran constantly getting you to and from. The staff are all very attentive and friendly. The concierge Lisandro was very helpful reaching out to us for whatever our needs were. We were amazed at how efficient the wait staff worked and we felt the food was very good for the most part. The Steak House was excellent, but felt the other fine dining restaurants served just mediocre entrees. The buffet dining was amazing and the selections were limitless.

All staff who are working in this hotel are so welcoming. From the bar, restaurants, house keeping, front desk, are very nice and attentive. For an all inclusive resort, the food is good and decent. Our favorite was the breakfast buffet and Margarita restaurant (Mexican restaurant).

The best experience at this hotel :) When I checked in I asked for a room upgrade and for a very reasonable price I stayed in one of the best rooms in the whole complex. The room was very clean and with all the facilities that made me feel very comfortable during my vacation. The food was awesome in all the restaurants. I went to the Italian restaurant for dinner one night and although the wines included are very good, I bought a red wine from the special cellar for my dinner at the suggestion of the waiter and wow, I loved it! All the staff very friendly and always willing to help you. Highly recommended hotel.

The staff are amazing! Welcoming, professional, helpful.....cannot complement them enough. Food is great - lots of variety with theme restaurants - Italian, French, Indonesian, Surf/Turf, Mexican and more. The grounds are impeccably maintained and spacious.

Well maintained resort, exceptionally clean and comfortable room., Very friendly and welcoming staff . The main pool area is lovely, activities take place in the middle section which can be noisy however, both ends are much quieter. A great choice of restaurants, all waiter served, it felt like a special night every night. The Imperial band were brilliant and kept us entertained.

Everything about the property was amazing. The staff was friendly, really made it feel like home. This place has everything, from food to entertainment and spanning over 14 acres I could not even see everything in a week. I was impressed with the shows, and daily activities. Pablo and Isreal did amazing on the bike ride, and really seemed to have a passion for what they do. The energy from this place exceeded all my expectations!
