Great place to stay to spend time at the blue lagoon and frenchmans cove. Clean , comfy and friendly. Its not luxury but its a perfect little stay to see the local area. My partner and I had dinner and breakfast on the terrace which was lovely. Spray bug if outside - its the only place we travelled to in Jamaica i came away with some bites. Deffo worth a stay!

I rented three rooms upstairs in the front villa. Two issues was the king room that I rented did not have a working whirlpool tub and the spa shower was also not fully operational. I queried the front desk about both. The response was that the whirlpool tub leaks in another room and I was told someone would check out shower but no one got back to me. I think it is fair to rent that room at a cheaper rate due to those issues. The other is if you are interested in watching Netflix etc, 2 of my rooms had smart TVs that did not work due to weak wifi. Just a point to note if you are a TV watcher. Otherwise I would recommend the property to all you want a clean, safe and beautiful home away from home to stay in the hills of Portland. The guesthouse is close to frenchman cove, blue lagoon and boston bay beaches. We got good recommendations to go into Port Antonio town for dinner and ice cream from staff. Staff even warmed up our food that we bought from outside restaurants. Overall we had a great stay and the staff was awesome.

Great property in the remote and rural Breakfast had to be preordered from the night before so the staff can make preparations in the morning.The host was very gracious and welcoming, he explained all the necessities upon arrival. Host also explained that he took over the property a few months ago and was still familiarizing and learning with the staff. I anticipate that he will look to implement a few changes in and around the property to make it more modern for guests. Orherwise, it was peaceful and one will feel engulfed in nature and beautiful scenery as wll as the excellent views of the ocean and river that was close by. The staff on-sight are very warm and willing to assist with your needs. Only take away is that the host shouod allow guests to be able to order meals such as lunch or dinner same day instead of a preorder. The menu is simple enough to be able to take a day- of order. The property was cute but I think it needs to be a bit clearer that the rooms with the amazing views require a LOT of stairs. Not just two or 3 levels but a lot. The place was very clean. The pre-arrival service was exceptional. Giving directions to the place was extremely helpful. The check in upon arrival was also great. I did not like to have to take my shoes off. It felt unnecessary and was a major inconvenience. I didn't know about it until after I booked. Overall, it was fine.

Creativity in the rooms and situated cabins. The view of the sea. The jacuzzi on the balcony. The bed so comfortable. Love it love it love. Location wasn’t bad. 20-30 min out from city center but beautiful view to get there.

We checked in at the end of February 2024 and enjoyed our stay here. Terence coordinated a beautiful candlelight dinner by the water (tip: book ahead). There is an extra associated cost but worth it in our minds and was offered to us as an option. Monique (who checked us in) was very attentive/accommodating and when asked about different (more comfortable) balcony chairs, she said she would check and before we knew it, there was someone at our door with the new chairs! The master grand suite provided a beautiful view of the ocean and lulled us to sleep each night. Some of the property is worn down, but to be expected due to repeated contact with salt water. This is normal! If you are comfortable to take a local taxi, do it and take a trip to the Boston Jerk Centre and Boston Beach. Locals tend to dine at the resort restaurant as the food is incredible. Breakfast was included with our stay and we always chose the traditional Jamaican cuisine and it always so well presented and extremely delicious! We would definitely go back and will request the Inn Seclusion or Private Chalet next time! Just based on what we could see from the outside. Enjoy yourself at the Sea Cliff Resort!! We certainly did (celebrating 25 years of marriage here).

Amazing trip, Monique was exceptional, servers were kind and patient. Breakfast was great, views were amazing, beds comfy and rooms cozy. Pools could do with a lifeguard or more activities at the bar but otherwise it was a lovely location with charming staff and fun attractions nearby.

We looooved the view. All the rooms have a view to the sea front which is so beautiful with a balcony and a hammock as well. It was amazing to see the sunrise from our balcony. The room was comfortable, clean and with a shower with hot water.

The restaurant staff were very attentive and helpful in their recommendations. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Thank you housekeeping staff. The view was incredible of the ocean and cliffs from both the balcony and bathroom shower.

We had the Kilimanjaro room which was very spacious. Lovely bathroom, walk-in closet and huge bedroom. Had our own private balcony which overlooked the pool & the sea with spectacular views over the bay. Liked the idea of cooking for yourself or ordering from the menu for breakfast & dinner. Usually made our own breakfast & had dinner off the menu 3 times during our weeks stay. The food was excellent - especially the Jamaican options. We liked the no shoe policy indoors, just like at home. Staff were mostly friendly & helpful. We had a hire car but mainly used the Route Taxi's. 150 JMD to Port Antonio and a similar fare to Winifred & Boston beaches which were amazingly chilled. Pool was available 24x7, so after a day of sightseeing you could just chill out with some rum & reggae until you decided to go to bed. Also recommend the Sunday Vinyl evening in Drapers which starts at around 6pm.

A great place to stay that's a comfortable middle ground between the more exclusive resorts in the area and the casual cottage stays. All of the staff was super nice, and reliably helpful whenever we had a question. We met Alex, the manager, at the weekly Wednesday Guava Night social. He appears to keep ties with the community so All Nations feels like you're in Jamaica, not some gated community. We're bummed we missed Vinyl Sundays! We stayed in Kilimanjaro, which has a private balcony where we were able to eat a hearty Jamaican breakfast every day (they have light options too). They even accommodated a late dinner after our flight was delayed the first day. It's a short walk to Frenchman's Cove and a short drive to Winifred and Port Antonio. Gee Jam is across the road if you want to use their restaurant and bar. We arranged transportation to and from Kingston airport and their driver, Steve, was adept at avoiding the many potholes and navigating the narrow roads. He even agreed to take the B1 through the Blue Mountains on the return so we had a scenic send off that included a stop an independent coffee roaster.

I recommend it to everyone looking for a quiet, clean, cost-effective solution for their stay. The location of the house is very central. Compliments to all the staff because everyone has been genuinely adorable! (The comments of people complaining about not getting the vegetables they wanted in their breakfast should stay home the next time, here everything is tasty & fresh :) )

All Nations felt like being at home. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the location is superb. Right in front of Geejam, you have free access to their amazing beach and it's also just a 10 minute walk from Frenchman's Cove. Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing location. great value for money. Run by a friendly Italian manager, the room is spacious,with a big comfortable mattress, good shower pressure and an oasis of tranquility. Good breakfast and had a nice lobster pasta. Recommended

Great Huts is a gorgeous rustic property. I love how natural the setting feels and that they truly incorporated the beauty of nature within the property. The Snake Trail is incredible along the cliffs, with beautiful views of the ocean and a great view of the sunrise (I was there in August, I know the sun's location changes depending on the time of year). The beach has a great sandy area to get in which has a little rock wall to help initially protect you from the waves getting in. The pools are gorgeous with wonderful views to the ocean. I stayed in the Granary Hut for a week and loved every minute. It can occasionally get a little noisy in the morning because it's right by reception and the kitchen, but honestly it wasn't something overly bothersome. This hut contains a bed, small side table, and a fan (plus a safe for valuables, I don't believe any of the rooms have locks on the doors, valuables are kept in safes and I had no issues with any of my belongings being out of place my entire week there). WiFi was only available in reception/dining room area and Africana House during my first two days, but I noticed that once several more guests arrived, WiFi seemed to be available throughout the majority of the property for the rest of my week (including the Granary Hut where I was staying). Great Huts is appropriate for people who are comfortable in nature and with wildlife. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this gorgeous location!

This place was EXACTLY what I needed and I am so grateful it exists. I stayed for 2 nights just as a short imprompu personal get-away and was pleasanlty surprised by natural design of the place. The rooms, creatively designed with plenty of attention to arty detail, are weaved into a mystical landscape of lush greenery with seating, and hammocks scattered in the sweetest little rest spots. The cliff on the outskirts of the property boast the most amazing sea view that I've come upon in Jamaica to date. The staff members were super friendly and very helpful and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast a lot. I enjoyed the fact that there were some activities on the weekend like yoga and also a cultural show, which I imagined would be the usual cheesy tourist entertainment - sleepy meno band or something Bob Marley, but it actually turned out to be great fantastic little show with youths from the area and I had great fun! The place has a nice energy about it and my heart was happy just being there and moving between the trees from the pool, to my cute room, to the little hidden meditation spots. I HIGHLY recommend staying at great huts. It's clean, safe, beautiful and good value for money. I will be going back every single chance I get... I found my 'spot' :)

Do not miss out on this unique experience! Friendly staff, private beach, trails, scenic overlooks! We stayed in one of the huts, which was the perfect combination of nature and comfort. Guests are provided with mosquito nets and bug coils, but we didn't need to use either. Complimentary breakfast offers a choice between traditional continental options or a Jamaican option. Additional items are available for a small charge. The Saturday night African drumming performance is an absolute must. The audience participation part of the show is so much fun, and is one of my favorite memories. Water shoes recommended for the beach and rocky paths. We usually make it a point to explore a new place each time we have an opportunity to travel, but Great Huts may have changed our minds and made us repeat visitors. Highly recommended.

We spent 3 nights at Great Huts in the Queen of Sheba. We had an amazing experience! From the warm and friendly check in where they provided fresh beetroot, pine and ginger juice, the grounds tour where we learned a lot about the property and Africana House, to the exceptional cleanliness of our huts and the grounds, and lastly the amazing food! We chose to have all of our meals at the resort instead of venturing out to the jerk stalls because the food was just that delicious. What really makes Great Huts shine is the staff! They truly put extra love into everything they do and it really shows. We all felt right at home and like part of the Great Huts family! We will definitely be back and stay longer next time.

Great Huts is a beautiful place, conceptualized by Dr. Paul to resemble an African village with huts, beach and facilities all connected through a series of lush paths. There is an exquisite beach with a staff of lifeguards and surf instructors. There are also 2 pools and a walking path along the cliffs. We stayed in Africa House in a fabulous space with doors opening directly to the pool, the sun and amazing views. There are over-the-top amenities and the staff is beyond accommodating. For example, when I mentioned that I was getting mosquito bites, a lovely staff person brought me organic insect repellent. The restaurant is lovely, though dark, and the food good. We HIGHLY recommend Great Huts. Also down the road are Jerk places and a fabulous ITAL restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay at the palace . March 27th , staying for one night..however the young lady that check us in was not friendly, she did not smile she seem like she does not like her job. No welcome I think she should be working in the back office. Our room was spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff was outstanding especially chandelier and our main waitress I forgot her name . We had dinner the night before and all servers were great.

Jamaica Palace is Peaceful, Calm and Quiet with a Guaranteed Warm and Comfortable Welcome, no matter what time of year. It is spacious and clean. The grounds and pool are Amazing too. We stayed at The Jamaica Palace Hotel during our road trip to Portland. The service from Ronnie & Simone was professional, friendly and welcoming. The room was as described in the hotel profile and couldn’t ask for any more. We had a look around the property and it has amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. The gardens and swimming pool are well maintained and beautiful too. I would like to say a special THANKS to Elizabeth for promise of mangoes on our stay. We chose Jamaica Palace hotel for peace & quiet and it was awesome. We received great services from front desk and restaurant and the grounds was peaceful. Lots of mangoes too. The Jamaica shaped pool was warm and inviting and we spent memorable time in the pool and it rained also. That was a blessings. We will definitely return. All the staff were to be commended- the restaurant staff "Y' and front desk and even the pool attendant was kind, professional. Hats off to Jamaica Palace hotel - 5 star in my book

What I like most about this property is the staff, they are amazing. The friendly greeting at the gate by security to the warm welcome at the front desk (especially Tisha) and the gleaming smiles from the breakfast staff to start your day. Ms Elizabeth is always with a pleasant smile whenever you ran into during a walk. The property is very clean and housekeeping team always seems eager to keep such cleanliness intact at all times. However, the property is very dated, the rooms and bathroom would be so much brighter and lighter with an upgrade. Overall this place is one I would recommend if you need a quiet place to stay outside of town but not too far away. WiFi service was very good I got plenty of work done including zoom meetings.

It was a lovely property in a great location not far from the centre. The staff were really accommodating and attentive, the food was good, breakfast and dinner. The Manager, Yvonne Blakey was warm and welcoming, she met all our needs and was very friendly and helpful. Our bed was superb - really comfy. My only suggestion for the Villa owner is that our room / bathroom could do with some decor updates. Simple things like hooks for doors and shelving in the bathroom with newer decorative items such as two bedside lamps would be a great addition.

Awesome property and views. Very clean, serene and quiet. I expected breakfast since it was advertised as included but was told I had to pay an extra $1000 JMD per plate when I got there.

The staff were super helpful and cheerful. The property is spacious, quiet and very well kept. Loved the tiled floor in my room and the a/c kept it cold. Plenty of drawers for my clothes but I wished there were some chairs to sit on inside the room. One problem we had was with the TV. Looked like Kodi had not been updated and I couldn't get it to work so I had to watch stuff on my tablet. It was a minor inconvenience and the young man there tried his best to fix it. Really cool place to stay and not that far from the Blue Lagoon, Port Antonio and other main areas. Highly recommend.

The hotel is set in a beautiful back drop & scenic gardens. The hotel itself is built in the old colonial style but very modern in design & stylish inside. The staff are wonderfully helpful courteous & friendly, eager to assist with any request. The rooms are spotless & comfortable with TV & undercounter fridge freezer , the standard rm has a smaller sitting lounge area & the Deluxe room is big spacious with a separate sitting lounge area. The bathrooms are generously sized with sunken tubs in lovely patina marble. The pool area is very serene & relaxing with plenty of lounge chairs & umbrellas to stay out of the sun . The restaurant has a gd tasty variety on Breakfast, Lunch * Dinner menus * Bar service is available too Great service all round

Stunning views, hotel is well maintained and very clean. Loved the pool and terrace, restaurant was very decent. Great gardening work! Room is clean and spacious, but lacking coffee machine, cups and hairdryer. The shower rail came off many times

The staff were very pleasant and professional. The food was amazing. I have a very picky eater, and he enjoyed breakfast and dinner. This was to be a one day/night outside our vacation home for my then 9 y/o son on his spring break. We ended up spending 2 nights. He enjoyed the pool and the outdoor dinning. I enjoyed the scenery from the balcony and outdoor spots. I've recommended this hotel. I'll be back for sure.

it was quiet , serene and relaxing, the staff were welcoming and the food was amazing. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The environment was spectacular and vast with beautiful art work surrounding the buildings. Pool was clean and towels provided. So nice I have recommended to my daughter who is travelling next week.

Room was lovely, clean and beautifully decorated. Had an amazing view from the balcony. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, we added an extra day and it was no problem. No issues with WIFi or TV. Breakfast was delicious, perfect portion size. We found it quite easily, as it had a sign on the road and we got to everywhere in Portland easy from the location. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, we had free parking and everywhere looked clean and modern

We Had an amazing time, the staff was A1, very polite, friendly and helpful. The food was great we enjoyed our breakfast everyday, had Dinner on a Sunday evening and it was definitely what I expected ❤️. Match Resort was amazing! The staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful, always there to assist with whatever we needed. Breakfast was delicious! Property was peaceful and better then we expected! Will definitely stay again! Do not pass this one up it is everything you’ll need in Portland.

I loved my stay! The receptionist was super friendly, and my room was clean, comfy, and felt safe. Breakfast was delicious, and I appreciated the staff's kindness in calling about the dress I left behind. Can't wait to come back!
