Modern hotel with great facilities, we only had a one night stay so didn't get to utilise much other than the room and restaurant for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant had a good menu and was exactly what we were after.

No issues checking in after midnight or getting a taxi to the airport early in the morning. Rooms are similar to what you might get at an airport hotel in the states except that the furniture is higher quality and there's a coffee pod machine. Simple continental breakfast provided, roads around the property can be noisy as locals regularly use their horns, fairly steep hill between the hotel and town centre. Room included mini-fridge and water bottles. Felt more coffee pods could have been provided on a daily basis and the pod machines could have been better (need to tilt the cups to get them under the nozzel). Generally quiet but there can be noise from other guests. Main issues with the room were the lower floors don't have the city / coastal views advertised and they're very dark in the evenings (insufficient lighting). Good wifi, very helpful front desk staff.

A business class hotel a bit "off" in Puerto Montt. Well-equipped, fairly modern and very clean rooms. Fitness room and in-door swimming pool in the building. A nice bar and good restaurant on the entrance level. That was good because there is absolutely nothing in terms of bars, restaurants and cafes close to the hotel.

The hotel has a good parking and is relatively well located in Puerto Montt. The employees are very friendly. We got a welcome drink and dinner was included, the breakfast is very good. The rooms are huge and they have quite a nice view. We complained about the safe and in our second stay we got the same room by coincidence and it was repaired, which show they operate with great quality systems.

Nice hotel, located in a safe part of the city but within a walking distance form the city centre and shopping center. it has a good gym and a indoor pool. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, both with many options of local food and drinks. Good quality of beds and pillows. Modern and clean bathroom.

As backpackers we were delighted with a spacious room with big comfy bed and amazing views. Restaurant was surprisingly good with even better views and not really expensive.

Faded elegance. Nice restaurant/breakfast area. Great views. Convenient parking in adjoining car park. Room comfortable but somewhat drab and in need of more attention to detail - for example, thick dust on some window sills and chair frame, loose toilet roll holder. Access corridor carpets looked like they could do with a thorough shampoo or, better still, replacement.

It had everything I needed for one night stay. Comfortable beds, good location, minibar, very good breakfast, restaurant on the top.free parking.

The location was right across the street from Lago Llanquihue. There is a small convenience store just outside the door of the lobby. The staff was very accommodating when we realized the room we received was too small and they gave us a more suitable room. We felt secure in the location and appreciated the 24/7 desk service. We loved the rustic wood decor, the great water pressure in the shower and the shower wand. The service staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Wi-Fi service was reliable, and the heating was able to maintain room temperature of our preference without any noise. We also appreciated the fact that we were able to extend our stay for a number of days. Extra bonus: a 20% discount at the corner restaurant.

The hotel location is good, with several great restaurants and coffee shops nearby (the Peruvian restaurant was specially great!). The room was very comfortable and Clean, Breakfast is good with a nice view from the lake.

We loved the location - close enough for a walk to the CBD along the waterfront, but with close by access to a choice of restaurants and shops. We loved being able to watch the ibis and other birds in the trees outside our window!

Dinner in sister restaurant was excellent as was included breakfast. Reception staff were pleasant and very helpful. We were very lucky to have a room with a great view on the third floor. There are very useful shops in the street below.

Breakfast was very good, it was nice to have a king size bed. Adjacent to the beach and nice walk into the Centro. Good restaurants close by, friendly helpful staff.

The decor was warm, inviting and has a tasteful maritime theme in keeping with the bay. The room was extremely spacious. It has a fully equipped kitchenette, a good hot shower and a large comfortable bed. Despite being on the road, the sound of the traffic wasn’t noticeable. We appreciated the option for room service after a long day travelling and the delicious breakfast with a view.

Abba Presidente Suites Puerto Montt is in a prime location with the board walk across the street. Beautiful water views and easy walking to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself has a great restaurant which we had breakfast and dinner with windows all around. Bonus was the pool with amazing views and we had the place to ourselves, it felt like a spa! The only negative was that our room was on the corner where the bus stop was so it was noisy, only when the windows were open. Other than that, would Highly recommend!!

The Puerto Montt abba Hotel is on the water front designed around an interesting nautical theme. It was clearly built many years ago, but has been well kept and is very comfortable. The staff is exceptional with their knowledge of the area and help and guidance in answering questions. The included breakfast has a nice variety and is served on the 8th floor restaurant with views of the surroundings. Some of the rooms don't have the best views, but overall it is a good value.

The hotel is very well located, near the coast and the center. It has a parking. The rooms are huge, bed is good. The breakfast is nice. The view from the restaurant on the top is amazing. The value for money is outstanding. The employees are friendly.

After many weeks of rustic hostals it was a breath of fresh air to find Hotel Seminario, in Calle Seminario, Puerto Montt. It's about a ten minute walk from the centre, and there's a bit of a climb to get there, but it was worth the puffing and panting. The hotel is very light, modern, pretty well built and has a really nice dining room/ guest lounge area with good views across the hills and houses at the back of town. Our room was very spacious with huge windows, flat screen TV,good hanging space, a desk and chair etc. The bathroom was almost as big. Breakfast was a cut above many with omelette made to order fresh fruit, home made cake etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful, some speak very good English. Overall, it was good value for money and highly recommended if you don't mind a walk to the centre.

Very nice, clean, friendly. Good food at breakfast. We stayed there after lake crossing from Bariloche. There was a delay at the passport control, this is why we came late and did not have a dinner. This hotel can serve you a dinner if you call them in advance. It's a piti we did not know that. I am sure that their dinner would have been better than the one we had at the restaurant nearby.

I appreciated the personal touch by those who were at the front desk. Each person was hospitable and helpful. After a 22 hour travel time from the U.S. it was a delight to have a comfortable room - with a clean bathroom and shower. The hotel is situated near the downtown area - so it was easy to walk to town and take in some of the sights. The final hill up to the hotel is a 'pull' -- but it's worth it. The breakfast was delicious and the table setting was excellent. The ability to eat on the balcony made it a special time.

The room was large with a great view, comfortable, warm, clean. Breakfast was varied with cheese, ham, eggs, cake cereal and more. The staff were great, very helpful when I needed some help with some paperwork...they went above and beyond, couldn't thank them enough. Would definitely recommend, felt safe there the whole time.

I stayed for 3 nights. Small room but clean and comfortable, private bathroom, tiny if you are tall. Good buffet breakfast. Good location (if you don’t mind walking up the hill a little bit), walking distance from downtown All receptionists very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Very quiet location. View of the volcano. The host was very friendly and responded to requests immediately. He also fired up the stove every evening. Large living/dining room.

I loved the accommodation, and I absolutely loved bed the room and the area. The room I had was situated on the 8th floor, very good size and it was literally opposite the famous sculpture on the sea front. Forgive me I forgot the name of it. But it was beautiful. Very safe area as well and it's close to the bus station, sea front and beaches and shops. They do have an option of a breakfast but because it came with a kitchenette, I didn't take my option of the breakfast. Also they clean the room everyday which is nice.

Well located by the waterfront and a short walk to restaurants and bars. Secure basement parking is available. Wifi worked well, and there were seasonal decorations up which looked great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Really nice room. Bigger than we expected. Comfortable bed and sofa. Nice sea view. Hot shower. Kitchen was tiny and had basic equipment but enough that we could have cooked a meal if we had wished to do so. Secure underground parking for our motorbikes. Breakfast was brought to the room. The lady on reception was super helpful on our last day as we had the overnight ferry. She let us keep our motorcycles and gear at the property until early evening. That was very much appreciated.

This apart hotel was a nice surprise. The best location in Puerto Montt, close to 3 or 4 good restaurants, close to the statues and close to the costanera. The room was huge for a couple with a beauiful view on the Ocean. Everything was clean and cozy. There is a kitchen and even a closet. The building itself looks a bit art decó, but not sure. In fact, an old, beautiful building in the heart of the city. I recommend it!

Such a fantastic hotel! We arrived by car and were able to park right outside the front door. Immediately a young man came out to help us with our luggage. As you enter the huge lobby you can see the amazing views. Carolina on reception was so welcoming and charming. Lovely room with a balcony, incredible views and a machine providing filtered water. Fabulous breakfast, again with great views! Perfect location, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Wish we could have stayed longer!

As ever the hotel was welcoming, homely and offered first class service. Breakfast is varied, well prepared and the service is excellent. The pool, spa and gym are well maintained and spotlessly clean. The pool is a lovely warm temperature. The menu in the restaurant is varied and tasty. Our highlight each evening was a cocktail by the roaring fire. We will be back.

The hotel staff was very nice, breakfast was delicious, rooms super comfy, and the view! Wow. Also very easy central location. Free bikes to rent super nice touch. Only disappointment was that the balcony and the terrace is undergoing work so they were closed.

Great location in perfect walking distance to the town. Very friendly staff. Restaurant ambience could be improved but the food was good at dinner and especially at breakfast. The Solace Hotel I liked the hotel, cozy, spacious room, upgraded, bed with good sheets and pillows, clean bathroom with a shower head working very well. The location is very close to the center, we could do everything on foot, and being on a hill wasn't a problem for us. There is a great Japanese restaurant opposite and a steak restaurant very close by. In the center it was very easy to take public transport to go to Puerto Montt and Frutillar. The breakfast is also very good. They were kind enough to anticipate our check in and extended our check out, lucky for us as it wasn't so busy at that time of year. We transferred from the airport with the hotel itself and everything went well, 25 thousand pesos each way. The staff at both the reception and the restaurant were very kind. Finally, it met our expectations!

This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Great price but most of all the staff was spectacular. Friendly and helpful would be an understatement. The front desk as well as the morning restaurant staff seemed to continually go above and beyond to make it an excellent experience for me. Breakfast display was delightful with always fresh fruit and proteins ( I didn’t eat the large assortment of pastries) I left for 10 days to Cochamo and when I returned they remembered everything we liked and would want. Above and beyond service. Also, location is perfect, 1 minute walk to the main grocery store 2 mins to restaurants and shopping and beach. Highly recommend

Centrally located hotel, good to reach restaurants and public transport. Very quiet towards outside noise, but the door to the corridor is not well insulated and we were woken up by a noise brasilian group leaving at 6am one morning. The views out of the very big windows would be towards the volcanos Osorno/Cabulco, if it weren't that they clouded over during our stay. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was very good. Breakfast has a lot to offer from fruits, lots of different cakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, though the coffee could have been stronger. The breakfast tables are in an open space next to reception and it was a bit cold due to the entrance door to the hotel being open. Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel to others.

Great location! There was a manager at breakfast each day that was so helpful with information and was so kind and interesting to talk to. I'm sorry I never got his name. The breakfast was fantastic and location perfect! We had a lovely view of the church and close to bus station. Also, fantastic hair salon right across the street. Carlos Valdez I walked in and they did a beautiful cut and color that day.

Very comfortable, elegant "rustic" large hotel. Excellent breakfasts, comfortable room. Some interpretative advertising in terms of views...Were offered room with view of lake and instead had a view on a very large pine tree which completely obstructed view (would have appreciated heads up and offer to relocate at time of check-in, prior to unpacking) Hotel did offer alternate accommodation when we expressed our disappointment but we had already unpacked and chose in the end not to move. Otherwise, staff very friendly. Property impeccably clean and quiet. Would recommend.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. They’re very spacious and clean. The balcony overlooks the lake and the volcanoes. It is a spectacular view to wake up to every morning. Right outside the door is a cute little playground that our kids (ages 5-9) loved. It’s within walking distance of everything in Puerto Varas. The breakfast has a huge variety.

This place was excellent. They had thought of every little detail. Incredible view over the lake, comfy bed, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and dinner. The pool and hot tub was incredible and open late enough for us to be able to make use of it which was exciting. Overall a wonderful experience.

The Weisserhaus is just what it's meant to be: functional, affordable and cozy. We really liked our stay: having parking was a huge bonus, the staff were helpful and clear - even going so far to make us an early breakfast as we had an early flight. The location is perfect for exploring Puerto Varas and beyond. It's not luxury but it's a great value.

The location is fantastic, in the middle of town and 2 minutes to the lake. Rooms were not huge but very comfortable with a large bathroom. Breakfast was adequate with excellent made to order scrambled eggs. The place was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. Good Wi-Fi. All staff were very friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located at the centre of Puerto Varas with a small car park if you need. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was big and comfortable. We didn't have a chance to try the breakfast as we left very early however we were kindly offered a breakfast box.

The location is exceptional - close to the lakeshore, restaurants, and shops; front desk staff were friendly and accommodating; free secure parking and breakfast were included (a bonus); the hotel overall was charming and an excellent deal. Would definitely stay again!

Parking is right behind the hotel. Our room was on the lower level and there was a little noise from people above, however, we sleep with white noise so wasn't much of an issue. We have a second stay booked in a couple days.

We loved this place, our first stop in Chile! Very friendly :) It has a great location (a block away from an excellent pizza place), and walking distance from downtown. We walked down the hill to the walking path by the water, then towards downtown. The breakfast (free) was very good (meat, cheese, bread, fresh made-to-order eggs, good coffee and a sweet cake). We paid for lunch there and ate good sandwiches. The host spoke excellent English and was very helpful.

Kalfu is great, very comfortable and clean. At first it may seem a bit far from the city centre, but Puerto Varas is a really small town, in 10min walking you reach everything you need. The staff is lovely, very helpful and made us feel very welcomed. The breakfast doesn’t offer wide range of options, however everything was delicious.

We easily booked an excursion at the hotel reception from several suggestions they had selected to suit our needs. The hotel is within walking distance of the town center (Plaza de Armas), where you'll find numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel also has a restaurant serving, among other things, delicious hamburgers that rival fast-food chains. In the morning, a delicious, extensive breakfast buffet is served in the same restaurant, while the cozy, beautifully decorated lobby offers a peaceful place to relax and reflect on a day's excursion. In short, highly recommended for a successful stay in Puerto Varas at an attractive price.

Fabulous room! Very big, great view to the lake, really quiet. The room is so spacious with a dining area in the corner with large windows to enjoy the view. Plenty of space to unpack. Bathroom was also nice and spacious, decent toiletries provided, nice towels. Beds were really comfortable. Parking is on the street and seems very safe. Breakfast buffet was excellent with eggs, yogurt, fruits, breads, cakes and juices. Enjoyed walking to the nearby restaurants like Shoper and Delicias. Loved it!

Spent 4 nights here up on the top floor. Massive bed and room with good bathroom with view of the lake and the volcano beyond, when the clouds permitted. Location: a short 10min walk in to town so easy but without the noise of traffic & people outside your window. Breakfast: The best so far in our tour. We chose fruit, yoghurt, berries, granola & wholemeal toast plus eggs. Good pleasant service but the coffee was weak. Reception: very helpful in finding me a therapist for my hurt back. Room cleaned well. Food: Burger bar downstairs convenient and tasty. Made me up a meat free salad which was very tasty. Do try Santos Fuego restaurant on the way in to town whilst you’re in Puerto Varas. I fear this hotel has raised the bar and subsequent hotels will not match up.

We were so pleased with our stay and our room had a perfect view of Osorno volcano! We chose Hotel Puelche because of some reviews saying the rooms were large and that was a fact! The bed was the biggest we’ve ever seen. And the room super spacious. Bathroom well kept, clean and nice strong shower. The staff very friendly. Breakfast was good. They even had gluten free bread for my spouse.

This meant you needed to take your bags up to the 11th floor from the 7th floor in our case, to check out, then go back down again, past the 7th to the basement....

This hotel was nicer than in the pictures. I couldn’t understand why didn’t have more stars. The stuff was excellent, very friendly, polite, accommodating, always ready to help. Parking was free, we also got a welcome drink so we went to the bar. Beds were so comfortable, when we got to the room the had the a space heater so the room was warm an cozy. We had two rooms a triple and double both were a big size and bedroom was huge. The double room had a beautiful view of the water and again room was huge even with a small walking closet. The breakfast was amazing, buffet style with a variety of juices, breads, sweets, fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, sausage, coffee, tea, etc. We learned from the stuff that this hotel was entered on the national registry of protected buildings like national heritage so they can’t just go remodel the outside the balconies are carved native wood. The hotel is beautiful as it is I will definitely stay here again.

Some aspects of the hotel are in disrepair (ie. door handles, one of the numbers for my room number was missing). The only real complaint I had, which I shared at reception and they received the feedback well, was that I placed the do not disturb sign on my door before leaving for an activity during the day; I had all my belongings spread over the room and I did not have the energy or time to put them away. While I was gone, the cleaning staff entered the room to clean. Nothing was missing, but it did feel like a boundary was not respected. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had many options. And the staff I interacted with was quite friendly. I had a rental car and their private parking lot was safe.

The location is great, the staff is amazing, the downstairs area is lovely and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices and fresh😋. The staff are lovely and helpfull always smiling and asking if you need anything.

We only stayed for a single night, after our filght arrived from Brazil and we were actually heading to Puerto Varas. The hotel is old (from 1958!) but very well maintained, with all areas looking as new, and with a very nice lobby. Very good breakfast and excellently well located, adjacent to the Plaza de Arms and the restaurant Fuente de Alí, very close to the big shopping mall Paseo Costanera and in front of the costanera of the city along the Pacific Ocean. When we arrived we were given complimentary drinks, which was a nice surprise. It’s also worth mentioning that the staff were very kind with my daughter and her husband, who arrived very early in the hotel in the other day, just to meet us, and were given access to the hotel premises.

We had a standard room with an incredible ocean view. The beds were comfortable, and we were able to maintain the temperature that we like in the room. Free breakfast was a big plus.

The hotel is also just a short walk from the town center, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants, bars, cafés, shops, a shopping mall, and a cinema. The rooms are reasonably comfortable, but they could use some refurbishment. In my room, I noticed peeling wallpaper, some dampness, and water damage. On the plus side, the main bedroom and bathroom have good windows for ventilation. However, I would have appreciated having a fridge in the room. There is a water dispenser in the reception area, providing both hot and cold water, which is a nice touch. Reception is staffed 24/7, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Despite being a bit outdated, it is actually a great hotel. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and is located in the beautiful attic of this hotel, with great views. They even let me park my car safely in the small alley behind the hotel. Location is walkable to the city center.

The room was good as was the bathroom. But the heated pool wasn't functioning and it took the better part of an hour to get the sauna working. Breakfast was good. A bit more service and tea/coffee facilities in the room would lift the experience.

Very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. My window did not close. The pressure of the water in the baths is incredibly high. So high that taking a bath can be a painful experience. Please, consider to regulate the pressure of the two water.

This place had a amazingly beautiful view of the harbor atop a hill (like the photo shows). Literally, you can just sit and look out the window forever. There was a little hike nearby by the entrance that used to be a road, which was neat. We liked the quick access down the hill. And found some good food late (9pm) by the bay about 2-miles to the right once you decend (if you get there late)! The breakfast was hand delivered at 9am (we scheduled it). The breakfast was good (meat, cheese, bread etc) and included instant coffee. Pedro was very very helpful at check-in (and spoke amazing english).

The communication prior to check-in was very helpful and appreciated. The host was so nice and accommodating- his English was really good to help navigate Puerto Montt. The location was perfect, close to all the attractions, but nestled in the hills for a quiet and comfortable stay. The views were exceptional- we will definitely come back!

This place is exceptional. As soon as we walked in it feels warm, safe and homely. The owner Pierre was so welcoming and helpful. Every area is well thought out. There are social areas, a shared kitchen with everything you could need and separate fridge and shelf areas for each room. Our private room was so comfortable especially the bed. We asked to stay an extra night. It is a great place for travellers to meet and chat. The whole feeling is quiet and calm and SO clean. The bathrooms are shared but never busy and every time I went in there it looked and smelled as if it had just been cleaned. The team work all the time behind the scenes to make it a great experience. It is so warm and cosy too, there is a roaring fire to sit next to. A really excellent stay in a beautiful town and area Thoroughly recommend.

The cozy atmosphere and excellent heating were perfect for the winter season. The hostel was very clean, and the hot water was always reliable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing us with numerous tips for exploring the area. The location is fantastic, with the city center and a convenient market both within walking distance. Despite the rainy days, we never got bored thanks to the various board games and movies available. Having a coffee machine was a great bonus, making our mornings even better. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Puerto Varas, and I look forward to coming back to explore more of the region.

The hostel was immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped. The staff are friendly, fantastic and helpful. The room we had was more comfortable than most hotels, but a fraction of the price. Lovely kitchen, bathroom, lounge and garden. Very short walk to centre of town (5mins), a supermarket (3 mins) and many cafes and bars. The kitchen has fridges, kettle, coffee machine, oven and hob. All well laid out (stuff like oil, salt, sugar, spices, teabags, are provided). Good location to explore lakes and mountains.

This is the best hostel we've ever stayed at! Amazing value, outstanding facilities and very friendly and helpful staff! We couldn't have asked for a better experience while staying at MaPatagonia hostel! We loved all of the little things they do to make their hostel special like their great decor, special attention to cleanliness and their awesome coffee machine, which was amazing after having only instant coffee lately!

I really liked the decor and vibe of the hostel. Staff was really friendly and helpful. It was very clean and cozy there. Beds were nice and sturdy, not squeeky at all. Location was close to the center and bus connections. Kitchen was spacey and there were all the essentials to cook. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, with warm water. WiFi was good and fast in common spaces, not quite that fast in the bedroom.

We arrived in Puerto Varas by bus from Bariloche, and the bus station was conveniently close. Our stay at this hostel was excellent overall. We started in the loft room, which was quiet and private but lacked a private bathroom. However, the loft could use darker curtains to block out the morning light, and the steep stairs leading to the room might be a bit challenging for some. The shared bathrooms were spotless, and the communal kitchen was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The private bathrooms were also great, with plenty of hot water and a spacious bathtub-shower combo. The sink being separate from the main bathroom was a nice touch. One drawback was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms—you could hear quite a bit from the neighbors. The hostel is conveniently located about four blocks from the town center, though the walk involves going downhill to reach it. As someone new to hostels (this is my fifth one), I can say this is my favorite so far. I would definitely stay here again! Ps. They have pets. They roam the property. We did find the cat on our bed one morning. They are harmless.

This place was beautifully designed and extremely clean. There was a lovely common area and kitchen for guests that was really nice to relax in. The rooms were good with comfy beds, and the shared kitchens were huge and always very clean. We really enjoyed our one night stay here and wish we could have stayed longer! The hostel has a coffee shop a few minutes walk away with some other restaurants nearby. It is only a 10 min walk into downtown which is great. The two bus stations we used (one to Chiloe and one to Pucon) were only a 10-15 minute walk away.

Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, not cramped at all and bathrooms are also spacious (shower soap provided). Large common area to chill or watch a movie. Info about tours and activities. Coffee and tea available at all times. Close to super markets, restaurants and public transport. 15min walk from the center. Definitely recommended!

Marie is the sweetest! Super welcoming and always smiling. The room was big enough, the kitchen well equiped and clean/organized, shared bathroom are cosy and clean. Hot shower is nice. The garden is really enjoyable when it's sunny outside!

We had an outstanding stay at the hostel. What we liked best was the atmosphere of the common areas, which were well equipped (coffee and tea for everyone, all kitchen utensils one needs) and nicely decorated. It’s easy to meet other travellers if you’re just by yourself. The staff was friendly and everything clean - even the bathrooms are nicely decorated and spotless. All buses that go to Petrohué, Cochamó or Puerto Montt pass by the hostel, so you don‘t have to walk to the centre (20-30 min) every time. Just wait next to the street and wave at the bus driver. There are also a few restaurants, a supermarket and cafés nearby. Absolutely recommendable.

I loved this hostel! It is very homey, as it is a big house with a big garden in the back. The bed was super comfortable, everything was clean, the shower was nice, the staff was friendly, the common areas including the kitchen was super. It's around a 20 minute walk to the center, so if you don't mind that, this is a very good value hostel!

Loved the atmosphere in Casa Apel! It was the perfect place to meet new people and explore the lake. The staff (including the volunteers) was really helpful and the impromptu dumpling workshop was definitely a highlight 😁 The rooms, bathrooms and common area are clean and spacious.

Had an amazing 5-night stay at Compass del Sur - the staff were always friendly and welcoming, and assuredly accommodating with my meager Spanish abilities. Breakfast was homemade and delicious; one day they were making the strawberry marmalade in the kitchen and the house smelled like grandma's! The house is clean and appears to have ample options for private rooms. They also offer reasonable rates for transportation to Puerto Montt Airport. I didn't have the time to try any of the many advertised excursions on the chalkboard by the front desk; I suppose it's just another reason to return here when I travel to Puerto Varas!

Lovely hostel, very clean and comfortable. Molly and Mauro go above and beyond and can’t do enough for you. The breakfast has amazing homemade cakes. Mauro offers airport pickup and drop off services as well as amazing treks around the area and is extremely knowledgeable. Fantastic stay and would recommend. Very close to the town centre and quiet location and a great local pub for food and drink at the bottom of the steps!!

This place is perfect. It is clean, quiet, and communal. The owners and managers are quick to respond to questions, attentive to needs like storage of luggage, knowledgeable about local excursions, and capable of providing amazing, reasonably priced breakfasts. Like a big family home! We stayed here for 3 nights and we were very comfortable. Big, clean, cosy and very friendly staff. The shared kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of fridge space and cooking essentials. We had rented a car so we appreciated the free parking. Bed was comfortable and although our bathroom was external, we were assigned a shower and toilet just across the hall so we had no issues there. Thanks for a great stay.

Everything was excellent. The hosts were friendly and attentive; the room was lovely and very clean; the breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip; great shower; easy and free parking; and the location was great - on a quiet, residential street, but close enough to walk down to the lake.

The welcome at the hotel was extremely friendly. The ladies at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a quiet area and within walking distance to the city centre. It`s also close to a bus stop for the collectivo buses to the airport of Puertto Mont. I especially liked the breakfast offered in a stylish way with an abundance of delicious food. Very close to the hotel are travel agencies where you can book tours.

This is the best place to stay Marco the receptionnist was such an amazing person he always made everything he can to make sure i dont need anything else. I was not expecting to stay longer in puerto montt but being a world traveller this is the place i decided to rest and plan the rest of my trip because i felt comfortable. The kitchen was always clean and provided with tissue. Also Marco prepare you a good breakfast every morning. Bed sheet are being changed properly every day by the staff. The hostel is kept very clean with modern equipment. And one of the bathroom is spacious. Every day the staff is seriously cleaning the communal areas. Overall it was a good experience the staff welcome me with a smile everytime i ask them something. This was positive vibes in this hostel.

Cristian, the staff was really fun, helpful, friendly and just an amazing guy overall. The kitchen was very nice and Cristian served a very tasty and generous lunch and dinner for 4000 pesos each, which is very cheap for what you're getting. The bathrooms are great and big. The bedrooms are big and comfy. You're sure gonna have a great stay in islander hostel 😁👍

The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast included with the stay was delicious and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and fun and really accommodating.

The location is 1.4 km from the bus terminal and close to the Puerto Montt promenade. Unimarc supermarket is nearby and you can cook your food in the well-equipped kitchen. The hostel is well-managed with clear rules (took some time to learn). It means as well that the hostel is quiet after 10PM. A good breakfast (with toast, eggs, jam, butter, yoghurt, juice and tea or coffee is served every morning and included in the price. The lady that runs the place with her young son is friendly and helpful.

A fantastic hostel. The owner is so kind and welcoming and the whole stay was very enjoyable. Very comfortable beds. Excellent showers and everywhere is kept very clean. Superb breakfast in the mornings and a great kitchen for cooking. Close to the city centre, a huge shopping mall and also a very large supermarket. Excellent stay and highly recommended!

Very friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs in exploring this beautiful part of Chile.

The owners are very warm and welcoming. A bit outside of town but we liked the serenity and it was fun to see all of the ducks and swans on property. There is even a running trail running right next to it. Breakfast was delicious, with eggs from their chickens. They will even cook you dinner for a fee. Thank you owners! We loved our stay.

This is SUCH a lovely place to stay! Large rooms are located in a gorgeous historic house--think creaking wood floors and large windows overlooking a charming neighborhood bursting with flowers. Easy walking distance to some of the best restaurants and bars we enjoyed in Patagonia, as well as an easy walk to a scenic waterfront with views of nearby volcanoes. The large room was so clean, very nicely decorated, with an extremely comfortable bed, had fast Wifi, and a large modern bathroom, along with new AC units in the room. We booked it last minute so the owner's son (Constantine?) helped us check in since she was out. He was the absolute sweetest and nicest to us, and was proud to practice his English with us. The house is located in a very safe and quiet neighborhood, and we wish we could have stayed longer! You will LOVE it.

The place is comfortable, with a large room and bathroom. There is a spacious sitting room. We relaxed there while waiting to catch our bus to Santiago after checking out. There is a spacious dining room. There is a sensible system of marking containers with room number in the fridge. The kitchen has one of those cartridge-type coffee makers and there's a selection of coffee cartridges and money box for the 1000 pesos per. It's in a quiet street, only a short walk from the centre of town: eateries, bakery, supermarket, lake front, excursion buses etc. The WiFi worked fine.

Close to many restaurants but in a quiet place. Central location and easy access. Rooms are simple but super comfortable and the owner is very easy to reach and answers almost inmediately. The price is super convenient for what you get. Yo can also use the kitchen and keep things in the refrigerator. There are common areas for relaxing but also to work.

Location was great, walk into town within 5/10 minutes and it is on a quiet street so got a really good nights rest. The house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and well decorated, A/C / heating throughout the whole place which is effective. The kitchen is nice and clean with all essential utensils. Nescafé coffee machine with the pods available for purchase which was a great touch. Rooms are nice and bright, beds comfortable and bathroom facilities are fantastic. Owners reply to messages quick if you need help. Self check in system was a brilliant touch too!

The location is great. Next to the city center, but also quiet area. The house is so beautiful, with the option to make your own coffee for breakfast. Clean and neat , beautiful furniture and so delightful to stay. Carla was a great host and super helpful! She was there whenever we needed her.

The place was very clean and nice, the bed and mattress were super comfortable. The heating was great too! On the second day, they cleaned the room, brought us new towels and more coffee/tea. The staff were polite and friendly, and they helped us check-in a little earlier too. The cabins are easy to get to from the center on foot, there is a convenience store and a bus stop nearby, and the area is calm and quiet.

Perfect Location, near to the main town but far enough to be very quiet.. super comfy bed and the room cleaned every day, immaculate, very close to the small bus terminus. Everything i needed and stayed for longer. Perfect base to explore the area.. room was great value with fridge and microwave so i could do my own breakfast. Great place..

Amazing showers!!!! So much hot water. Beds were super comfy with lots of blankets for the cold nights. Kitchen was well equipped and common areas well kept. Didn’t use the climbing wall but looked awesome. Good area almost out of town but like a 20 minute was to the main area. 10 minute walk to the grocery store. Bathrooms could have been cleaned more often but were still in great shape (I’m just ocd about bathrooms). Owner is super nice and friendly and people were cool. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Super cosy and the staff are very friendly. The associated coffee place and Peruvian restaurant is very atmospheric. The centre of Puerto Varas is very nearby, just a short walk down the hill. The included breakfast is good and perfectly balanced: a yoghurt with cereals, toasties or scrambled egg, a coffee or tea and cake.

This boutique hotel is lovely and the rooms are comfy and spacious. The whole place is decorated nicely. Location is excellent. 2 blocks to the plaza and great bakeries, coffee shops, and restaurants right near by. The manager went above and beyond helping and making sure my stay was perfect. Highly recommend.

Good located B&B with very comfortable beds. The room was very clean and cosy. The breakfast was fine.

The location is perfect for Puerto Varas, the price is beyond convinient for what you get. Even though there was a big festival in the town center (couple of blocks away) from the room you wouldn't hear any noise. The breakfast is not buffet, but served by a very nice lady and overall good.

This was a wonderful, tranquil, quiet stay. The owners were wonderful and responsive and I felt cozy and at home. I'd point anyone I knew to stay here, and sure hope to be back to Puerto Varas-and sure know where I'll stay.

A beautiful hotel! Very clean, the rooms had a beautiful wooden style with colorful tiles in the bathroom. It felt very new. We slept through breakfast, but had lunch which was delicious with gnocchi that tasted like they had just been hand made moments before - wonderful! The decor in the entire hotel is so cozy, colorful and unique, with lots of windows. Would love to come again.

Staff were really lovely. The room and the bed was perfect. The breakfast is nice and the bar in the evening has craft beers in cans, wine and spirits. We told the staff that our visit was for a special occasion and they kindly treated us, which was really nice. The place has character and is very relaxed while being just out of town.

I stayed in January 2025. This is the perfect place to stay to visit Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and Osorno. This is a B&B in the true sense. The room is clean, large and overall comfortable. The hosts are super nice people. I can’t say enough about how gracious and sweet this couple is. They attend to all requests and provide tips on activities in Puerto Varas. Puerto Varas is such an awesome experience. It feels like being in Europe. Do not stay in Puerto Montt, stay in Puerto Varas. Breakfast is great each morning - coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, meat slices, etc. Very quiet place to relax and easy walking distance to the beach, bus station, the center of town, restaurants, coffee shops. There’s a lovely little panderia/cafe across the street from the B&B if you want a nice pastry. The owners allowed me to check in a bit early and even gave me a ride to my new hostel afterward. They certainly put a lot of effort in their hospitality. Rooms are cleaned daily if you desire. Overall, fantastic experience. I highly recommend staying here.

I ranked every question at the highest number allowed but you should add a ranking called ”exceptional “ as that most accurately describes my stay and the quality of the facility AND the quality of the service. In a perfect location, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and everything worked flawlessly. And the host Susana was superb—warm and welcoming, most helpful and accommodating to my special requests and lots of fun. Having stayed in many, many booking.com places over the years, Patagonia Route B & B is in my top 5 all time!

These people really know the concept of great hospitality. This place is a small family owned, quiet bed and breakfast within walking distance of the centre with super clean rooms and a delicious breakfast. The couple is incredibly helpful, interested and friendly.

Best BnB hosts 10 stars. José & Susana are very helpful, gracious, communicative and enjoy meeting their guests. Entire place is spotless, very comfortable, excellent Wi-Fi, ample breakfast with a big pot of good coffee. Location is our favorite area to stay in Pto. Varas for ease of walking everywhere, safe, and nearby amenities. We loved having Emma wag her tail to greet us. We will gladly return and stay here.

The B&B is very cosy and well equipped. Suzanna is a fantastic host that spoiled us with a fantastic breakfast with homemade bread and cake. She also reserved us some great fish restaurants for the evening. Her friendliness made it a memorable stay.

The nicest hostel I have been to in Chile, and I have travelled a lot through Chile. Large comfy dorms with big lockers, great common space to hang around and no less than 2 kitchens (one for vegetarians) with free fresh coffee, tea and cake (if you're lucky 😊). Staff are very friendly and Pierre, the owner, obviously cares a lot about his guests. Good value too - Puerto Varas isn't cheap. Surely hope to be back!

Awesome place with awesome staff and owner! Nice chill hostel with cool decorations that seems to attract equally chill and cool people. Nice areas to chill out, books, games, tv, two kitchens to cook (including one vegetarian kitchen), and an outdoor area to sit and chill too. There is free tea and coffee. We were in a 4 person dorm which had crates with padlocks to store your valuables. Spacious enough and comfortable beds. The staff help you with things like which buses to get to which nearby attractions etc.

Patricia and her husband are super nice and warm people. The transfer arranged was a reasonable price and she even made a stop at the bus station so that we could buy our tickets in advance when she found out that we needed to travel to Chaiten in a few days (unfortunately office was closed). She dropped us off in town later as she was going the same way. The hostal is very cosy and clean. It is maintained extremely clean as I observed Patricia even spraying down the walls one time. The shared toilets are always kept spotless.

Owners of the hostel were so friendly, kind and helpful! They went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and treated us like family. We arranged an airport transfer with them which was smooth and well priced. The kitchen looked good but we didn't nees to use it. Bathrooms were clean as well. Great stay!

Great location for the waterfront, and hosts recommended a restaurant that turned out to have the best sandwich I've had in ages---just chicken with mayo, tomato, and green beans (a Chilean thing), but it was huge and delicious--at Fuente de Aji, a nice walk along the malecon from the hostal. Patricia and Jose were wonderful, and also provided airport transport (15) and bus terminal (5). The rooms are what you can expect for the great price. Very quiet and comfortable.

Mrs. Paty and Mr. Jose were always very attentive. All common places were always clean. All the stuff for cooking were supply so, very easy to prepare something at night. The bed was comfortable, then, I rested well. I don't have any negative comment of this place.

Wonderful owner. Was amazing at accomodating us. We only stayed for one night as we were passing through but we were very happy with our stay.

Really nice room and the host was lovely. Felt more like arriving at a relatives house than a B&B. Colectivos run from one block away right back into the centre.

Incredibly flexible, friendly and helpful hosts. We had a nine hour delay with our ferry which had us arrive around 4:30 am. They were very understanding, we could still check in. Thank you very much again! The apartment is comfortable and clean and in a good distance to reach the airport by car within 15 min.

We needed one night stay close to the airport. This was approx 20min drive, also the host offer to drop us to the airport which was really helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable.

Alejandra is a lovely, kind and attentive lady. She makes sure that you are comfortable at home and answer any questions you have. She makes really good breakfast and also pack my breakfast for my early morning flight. My room was perfect for one person. It is cozy. The house and toilet is clean. The property easily accessible to the supermarket. Everywhere you go you can take uber. It is a safe neighborhood which is important to me.

Breakfast was exceptional, from the food preparation to the presentation. Each day was a little different but was the perfect way to start the day and kept you full for hours. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were clean and well taken care of. I would love to stay here again next time I’m in the area!

Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere; a cozy room and warm bed in a beautiful house. An ideal place to come to after a long day and to listen to Puerto Montt's nightly rain falling on the roof. In the morning, there was a rich and tasty breakfast, including homemade "pan de pascua" and bread.

Everything. Extremely clean and comfortable. Host is friendly, kind and accommodating. Breakfast is ample and delicious. Far exceeded my expectations!

The house was quaint warm and clean in quiet neighborhood. The hostess was very sweet and tried to be helpful despite language issues. Breakfast was good one of the best I have had in Chile!

The room had a small kitchen which was handy for us as we wanted to make our own breakfast and use the fridge overnight. Great with secure parking onsite. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Good size room.

We had the smallest of the several separate rental houses at the Cabana Puemayen, but it was still huge for a couple. It has two bedrooms, two baths, a large kitchen/dining area, a large living room, and covered parking right outside the from door. The house has attractive wood and tile flooring and is beautifully furnished. The Cabana is within the town of Puerto Varas, but located off one of the several major routes into the center. The house is very secure as it located within a gated private property. To get into the house, we first used the intercom at the gate, our friendly hostess then opened the gate and showed us around the house. We found it vary comfortable and pleasant and would stay again.

Immaculately presented cabins just outside Puerto Varas. Great location and very comfortable with 2 bedrooms with en suites. Only slight negative is the busy main road but it is barely noticeable and not a problem

I wish we had stayed here on our first 3 days in Puerto Varas. The place was a blessing. Pablo allowed us to come into the room earlier as we drove for nearly 2 hours in the pouring rain from our other place and we could finally rest after a really bad experience in our previous place. The apartment is quiet, plenty of room, though the kitchen is tiny, but we didn’t really use it. The beds were truly comfortable and we slept fantastically. There is a lovely Mexican restaurant just around the corner which was really good. Cheap and great food and wonderful service. If it wasn’t raining the garden would be an amazing place to sit and rest. There is a breakfast was wonderful, tasty and very filling.

The staff was super friendly, he was kind and attentive all throughout our stay. The room was comfy and cozy, the beds were soft and awesome to sleep in.
