Had a great time celebrating my sister's wedding then having the rest of the time dedicated to Me and my Wife! Staff were all wonderful! It was rainy most mornings but there were umbrellas everywhere. Sargassum was very bad for the whole area but Dreams cleaned it up every day. Still didn't make for a swimmable beach but compared to other resorts nearby that let it get out of hand the daily cleanup really made a huge difference. My one wish would be that the Jacuzzi's were open later. We were told wrong by a family member and got in the Jacuzzi a little past the actual closing time. A lifeguard cave and snipped at us a little harder than I think was reasonable then the resort employee took off picture of us while we were getting out. Please delete that picture of word can get to her. I didn't know why she took it. Maybe they're used to people just being drunk but we don't drink alcohol at all so it came across unpleasant. Other than that experience the staff was so helpful, kind, and wonderful.

Wonderful welcoming staff made our trip special! Food terrific- special thanks for wonderful service-Vincente who brought us many tequila shots and delicious drinks and who felt like a true friend. Oliver for the fun Spanish lessons in the pool, Phillipe for fun drink service at the pool, Angie for great zumba in the pool class and Keychain activity, Jonathan and Oliver for making our friends birthday so special, and one she will never forget, Ozzy for great tequila tasting class, who was great and made us laugh, I forget name of others but the man who presented the tequila tasting was so much fun, I'm sorry i cant remember all your names!!), wonderful service in all the restaurants and especially the buffet (wait staff and cooks so nice!!), coffee cafe (wonderful coffee and gelato!) And Portofino. Highly recommended resort thanks to wonderful people who work there. We couldn't swim in sea due to seaweed. The rooms were spacious and nice layout. The rooms so clean and nice (thank you to the women who cleaned our room) shower was hot and lovely. Nic3 big mirror. AC ice cold, water in fridge and other drinks and nice touch, spacious balcony with good view. Beds super comfy! And I loved having two sinks. Awesome layout.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The pool area is absolutely fantastic — spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing or having fun. There were plenty of activities throughout the day, and the shows (Uci, the singers ) in the evening were super entertaining and well-organized. This is a great hotel for kids! The Kids' Club is one of the best I've seen — fun, safe, and full of engaging activities. The staff there is amazing with children, and they really know how to keep them happy and entertained. The food at the Seafood and Japanese restaurants was delicious, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. What really stood out to me was the excellent service — the waiters were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on their faces. I highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. I would definitely come back!

Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The rooms were clean, the service was great, and the food was delicious. If I were being picky, there were a few things that could have made our stay even better. I was surprised that it was hard to find tacos and guacamole. They were sometimes available at the snack bar and some restaurants at lunch. We also found the dinner buffet lacking in options. It wasn't a huge deal because the food that was available was delicious and we ate at the restaurants most nights. The restaurants were quite small. Given that we were traveling in the off-season (October), we were surprised to find that there was often a wait at restaurants, including a small wait at the buffet on occasion. When eating dinner at the restaurants, it frequently took a while for the food to come out. In addition, on several days, we had trouble finding a chair by the pool or at the beach. These things did not have a huge impact on our trip (as I said, we had a great time!), but they did make us think about what the experience would have been like if we had come during peak season or with a big group.

Excellent holiday. The place was amazing, we were lucky enough to have a front row sea view which made everything really special. Waking up to that view very morning was unreal. There was 3 seperate pools, small kids one with big water apparatus, main kids pool where lots of activities took place and then the adults infinity pool with swim up bar which its like no pool ive ever seen - it's simply amazing. Food choices were good, i would recommend the Grill near the beach. Breakfast was lovely, good choice and breath-taking view. Steakhouse is great for dinner - lovely steaks. Teppanyaki is a must as the food and service/show is brilliant! Mexican restaurant is a authentic restaurant. Room service was brilliant, no faults at all and cleaned daily. The Entertainment team and Pool concierge were fantastic. Uzzy, Edgar, Oliver Jonathon were all brilliant. They had great energy, very good English and made the activities so fun. Jony and Francisco looked after us with arranging face massages and help with sun loungers. The waiters Alex and Victor were second to none. They were running around all day looking after not only us but lots of other people too.

Every part of our stay was perfect down to every last detail! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive—we didn’t have to lift a finger :)The staff literally took care of everything. Food was excellent in every regard and the property was immaculate. We’d return to stay at Maroma without a second thought.

This is the best and most beautiful hotel we have ever been so far.. Everyone in the hotel is extremely caring and nice, food is amazing, every restaurant is unique, the level on detail is perfect! Unrivaled service. There is not the word No in their vocabulary. The restaurants are exceptional and the setting is ideal. The place is perfect for relaxation and to switch off.

The location is great and feels secluded, staff we’re all excellent. We had a beach side suite which was spacious and straight onto the beach. The best bed I think I’ve ever slept in!

Wonderful experience in every way. The attentiveness of the staff, the authenticity of everyone we met, the excellent food, comfort of the room were all outstanding. But, the most special part of the experience was the subtle Mayan influence that clearly, for those of us who are healers, found quite wonderful. We celebrated our 36 years of marriage in Maroma.

This was our first time staying at this resort and we were very impressed. The food and restaurant options were fantastic—even the buffet had a great selection. The resort itself is beautiful with plenty of activities to enjoy every day. We especially loved being able to visit the other sister resorts and use their amenities, which was great when we wanted a quieter atmosphere. One thing we didn’t love was the lack of enforcement around chair saving. Guests would reserve chairs before 7 a.m. and not return until 10, leaving no availability for those who came later. It would be nice if the one-hour policy was better enforced. We visited during a cooler time in Riviera Maya (April), so the weather was less humid—but that also meant the pool water was quite cold. The family Jacuzzi was slightly warmer than the pool but still not hot enough to feel like a proper Jacuzzi. The one at Ventus Ha was much better in that regard. Parillada was a highlight—such a great outdoor space with entertainment, which is always best when the weather is nice. We purchased the Platinum package, which was a nice upgrade. However, it would be more convenient if Platinum-level drinks were available outside of the lounge/lobby area. Having to walk back to the lobby and stay there to enjoy them felt limiting. Our stay at Marina El Cid was nothing short of amazing—for both adults and families alike! From the moment we arrived, Yovani and his front desk team made everything effortless. They were always ready with a smile and quick to arrange rides around the resort or back to our unit, making our experience smooth and stress-free. Dining was a highlight thanks to the exceptional service from Guriel, Gilberto, Francisco, Miguel, and the two Wilberths—each of whom went above and beyond to ensure our meals were enjoyable, our drinks full, and our kids well taken care of. Their warmth and professionalism truly elevated every meal. A special thank you to Yolanda, who kept our room immaculate—no small feat after our nightly dips in the jacuzzi and indulgent room service! The buffet and activity teams kept the energy high, and Tony at the lobby bar became a fast favorite, crafting amazing drinks to match the mood—most often festive! We also met so many wonderful families around the main pool and left with new friends and memories to last a lifetime. Already counting down the days until our next adventure at Marina El Cid!

Pros... the resort and pool areas are beautiful. Rooms are clean and good AC. Staff is friendly and helpful. The view from the balcony is amazing. Rooms were cleaned daily and fridge restocked with beer, water, soda. The rooms were stocked with soap bars, body lotion, toothpaste, tooth brush, shampoo, conditioner and loofa. The breakfast buffet and coffee and pastry shop were good also. For longer walks, the front desk will provide golf cart pick ups to and from your rooms. Cons... the beach area is disappointing, small swatch of sand leads to many sandbars. The resort is very large and could use better signs for directions. One small wrong turn and you can end up lost for half hour. The restaurants, though beautiful and excellent service, were lacking in food quality. Outside of the salmon(French restaurant), the swordfish(Italian Restaurant) and the Japanese hibachi, I'd avoid them all together and stick with the buffets. May be nit picking here, but the pools close at 9pm. which was way too early, considering they are the resorts' best attractions. Although the gift shops provide many items ( beachwear, sunblock, glasses, hats, floats, Rx needs, cigarettes, etc. ), they are VERY expensive.

Great Service and Family Amenities, But Beach and Room Conditions Need Improvement We stayed at Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort All Inclusive in Cancún, Mexico from June 7 to June 12, 2025, for a multigenerational family trip. Our group included six people (two adults and four kids), my mother, and my in-laws. The resort offered a lot for families, and overall, we had an enjoyable stay. The staff was excellent—friendly, helpful, and accommodating from check-in to check-out. The resort grounds were clean and well-kept, and the pool area, especially with the water slide, was a hit with our kids. The restaurants provided a good variety of food options, and the service in the dining areas was consistently attentive and courteous. However, there were a couple of notable downsides during our stay. First, the rooms had a persistent moldy smell, which was unpleasant and difficult to ignore. While the rooms were cleaned daily and generally well-maintained, the odor suggested a deeper humidity or ventilation issue that needs attention. Second, the beach area was heavily affected by seaweed throughout our stay. The shoreline and water were covered with seaweed, which gave off a strong foul odor and made it nearly impossible to enjoy the beach. While we understand this is a regional issue and not entirely the resort's fault, it significantly impacted our beach experience. The staff did try to clean it, but it was an ongoing challenge.

We came with 3 teen/tweens, my sister and I and our parents. I can say that overall, the food was amazing- the fresh fruit and made to order smoothies..I got spoiled. The kids had fun, and we did a fishing excursion and centotes verde Lucero excursion (for the cents, we just got an uber to a cents, preplanned an uber pickup since service was spotty. The cenotes was gorgeous, the water was emerald green and clean, and there were multiple places to jump into the water (it was actually a little scary since my 14 year old wanted to jump from the highest point). The downside was that the beach is unusable- what I regret not doing is planning a beach day excursion where there was usable beach. It didn't feel like a complete vacation because we never went to the beach. Tips- get familiar with the map and the restaurants/hours. Prebook reservations (we tried to book Monday reservations the same day, but they were booked out everywhere until Wednesday though I actually thought the dinner buffet was good). I could tell that everyone who worked there did a great job, please tip them accordingly, they work very hard!

From the free private pickup at the airport to our personal concierge, we had exceptional service from the moment we arrived! We felt like family as we arrived, spoken to by name, handed drinks we'd pre-ordered from the car, checked-in right away and then introduced to our concierge. She went over our dinner reservations for the week, gave us a brief tour of the resort and got us settled in. The resort was wonderfully accessible with ramps and elevators. We appreciated the care taken for the environment, lots of eco practices in place. The lounge chair reservation service was wonderful, no fighting over saving chairs, a huge relief! The beach servers were attentive but not pushy, we had all the drinks and food we needed each day and the ice lollies and fruit skewers that were handed out midday were a wonderful treat. The resort was kept incredibly clean and the staff worked tirelessly to tidy and take care of us. Our villa was very spacious and comfortable and our bathroom had large bath sheet towels (a huge plus for two women over 6ft tall!) The evening turn down service was a lovely bonus. 24-hour room service was a great option and the food and drink at each and every restaurant was exceptional. Two minor downsides: The time share push is real, but it wasn't overbearing. Our concierge tried, and tried and we said no thank you and that was sort of it. She was pretty attentive the first couple of days, texting and checking in, saying hi across the resort when she saw us -

Our family (2 teen boys) were looking for a quiet, relaxed beach stay and Grand Residences was a perfect fit. The staff are great, from the airport transfer drivers and concierge, to the waitstaff, cabana attendants and housekeepers. Our Master Suite was huge and the private hot tub was perfect for hanging out at night after dinner. Plenty of quality food options at 2 restaurants, with theme nights to switch things up during your stay. Shrimp tacos at Heaven Beach Bar are great! There are a handful of daily activities, including a daily bike tour into town (Puerto Morelos). Some reviewers complained about signing receipts for meals/drinks/etc, this is only to provide a means to tip your room account. This resort does have timeshare units, and some reviewers complained about timeshare sell pressure - we were not asked about timeshare once during our entire stay. Overall a great experience, highly recommended to anyone who wants a more quiet beach resort experience away from the craziness of the Cancun hotel area.

We stayed 3 nights, the property very nice and quiete, very modest unlike other all inclusive resorts Beach somtimes had seaweeds, room very nice oceanfront suite, very nice and clean. One thing that in my opinion has to change, is everthing related to food, there are 2 restaurants , and 1 snack bar and room service At the check in day, there was only buffet for dinner (no a la carte) and the buffet was midiocre. I would expect to have at least 1 restaurant which is a la carte in the evening For lunch there is only 1 restaurant , and the menu is the same for lunch Also the menu in snack bar is the same as the room service This should change, especially this isnt low price resort , we expect to have more option in that area We did share our thoughts with the managers and they did tried to make this better, this shows that they care about the guests , and we are appreciate that

Overall, this was an upscale resort and is very open to the beach for incredible views. Beach is very accessible- just steps away from the closest buildings. The food was excellent but there are only two restaurants. However, there were no long waits while we were there and we booked the meals we wanted through the concierge (2 prior to arriving) and the rest upon arriving. The concierge helped book a great excursion and saved us some money and gave us great tips- taking towels, tipping, and box lunches to go. We loved painting ceramics and you could borrow games and such but activities, rentals, and beach all closed early ( around 5 pm). Only one pool for kids and it’s deep with no shade. Beach was closed due to wind and strong waves 4/5 days during our trip (April). The double beds were the hardest mattresses we’ve ever used but they brought mattress pads upon request, however they did not cover the whole bed. Still, we enjoyed the relaxing, peaceful atmosphere, great service, and felt safe letting our kids explore and go do activities. The company they use for transportation for travel to and from the airport is excellent. They start construction in May 2025 of a new side of the property so not sure how that will affect things.

I had a fantastic stay at Grand Residences by Royal Resorts! The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to make my experience special. The rooms were luxurious, spacious, and impeccably clean. I also loved the stunning beachfront location and the delicious dining options. Overall, it was a truly relaxing and memorable getaway!

The staff are amazing! Welcoming, professional, helpful.....cannot complement them enough. Food is great - lots of variety with theme restaurants - Italian, French, Indonesian, Surf/Turf, Mexican and more. The grounds are impeccably maintained and spacious.

Well maintained resort, exceptionally clean and comfortable room., Very friendly and welcoming staff . The main pool area is lovely, activities take place in the middle section which can be noisy however, both ends are much quieter. A great choice of restaurants, all waiter served, it felt like a special night every night. The Imperial band were brilliant and kept us entertained.

Everything about the property was amazing. The staff was friendly, really made it feel like home. This place has everything, from food to entertainment and spanning over 14 acres I could not even see everything in a week. I was impressed with the shows, and daily activities. Pablo and Isreal did amazing on the bike ride, and really seemed to have a passion for what they do. The energy from this place exceeded all my expectations!

Before going we were sceptical of all the glowing reviews but, seriously, absolutely everything is on the highest level- our room was very comfortable & spacious- a perk of booking here we understand! ;), the facilities are luxurious, very well planned & maintained, the food isn't on the absolute highest level but still excellent (esp the breakfast), the direct contact staff are all amazing: always super friendly & helpful, and we met so many cool cool people among the other guests. Highly recommend.

This is not just another resort! It`s for openminded couples only, that accept nudity and enjoy a very erotic atmosphere. We loved our room at Eden, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Whenever you book an "all inclusive" resort you expect food to be average at best, but this is not the case for Desire Eden Riviera Maya! Food was comparable only to fine dining gourmet restaurants and the drinks (spirits and champagne/sparkling wine) was of amazing quality. We strongly recommend the Exotic Spa experience, especially the Fantasy massage for couples (thank you Estrella and Luis!!!). Live show and party every night ! The beach was picturesque with white sand like sugar and at this time of the year (mid April) the sargassum problem wasn`t so big , so we enjoyed the beach a lot

Wonderful experience! Excepcional service, all very friendly staff. We got an up grade for THE EDEN and the room is perfect. The leisure team is fantastic and we love the night parties! 10 for the restaurants and the F&B team, they are so wonderful! A special mention for Maggi - guest service. She was so kind to us! We had an amazing stay at the Royalton Splash Cancun. We stayed here at the end of October and we had great weather, a bit of rain on one day. The hotel room was beautiful and clean, as was the rest of the resort. The restaurants were mostly good. We upgraded to Diamond Club and had access to the Diamond Club Breakfast buffet which we enjoyed better than the Standard Buffet. Most of the staff was amazing, with some staff making our stay even extra special: First to mention Luis in the Diamond Club bar, he’s a magician and entertainer in making the most beautiful cocktails. If you are unsure of what to have he will asks you a couple of questions and create something truly unique there on the spot. A very hard worker and a true gentleman. Happy, smiley Jorbin in the Diamond club pool bar is a good laugh and really looked after us during our stay. Arien from the entertainment team who kept our daughter entertained. She particularly enjoyed the waterpolo. Dulce, our butler, who would solve any problems at a heartbeat when if there was any issues. Alejandro at Hunters steak house, very attentive hard worker Sami at Smoke, again attentive hard worker and a gentleman. Hope credit will be passed on to them The only downside of this wonderful resort is the beach and occasional smell from the mangroves which we were aware of before booking. This did however not affect our stay

Resort was huge. The buffet was great breakfast lunch and dinner if you dont book a restaurant reservation. Buffet has ton of options but if you like a sit down dinner know that the service in the 3 restaurants we visited was super slow. Many pools and lots of chairs, look for shady area or umbrella early on if thats your preference. Great afternoon activites for kids/families, the girls from the vibe team were so friendly. Theres a party going on every night but its only loud if you are right near the action at the main pool. Oh, and you will will see a wedding, or 2 or 3 during your stay. During the day the beach was never busy while we were there, quiet there too, except nights with a wedding beach party. We saw the expected wildlife, lizards like big iguanas and small lizards in trees, many different birds, also cats around the resort, also dogs on the beach, a one night a racoon family looking for late night snack in the trash. We were warned that housekeeping and room service were slow but my experience was that they were very responsive and quick, just wish there were more options on the room service food menu. Overall the kids had fun and didnt complain of being bored. Just make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen!

We had a wonderful time! Every meal was great, the omelettes were fantastic at breakfast and there was always something new to try at the buffet. Each of us had a different favorite for the dinner restaurants but no one disliked any. There was a learning curve on how to get a good cocktail but the lobby bar was the best. I found asking for a brand of liquor helped in the proper strength (for us, we’re professionals). Getting pool chairs is a system that could use some work. There were a few terse moments we witnessed with people arguing over who saved the chairs first. The entertainment was great fun at night and we really enjoyed the water workouts during the day. The WiFi was a little troublesome and the app worked most of the time. Definitely need the app to see what’s happening each day. Our concierge Victor L. was simply the best! He was most helpful in getting our reservations and some special deliveries to our room. Ice is a hot commodity and not convenient in procuring. Victor helped at night but having ice machines would make a world of difference. The gift shop was horrendously overpriced so be sure to bring enough sunscreen and after sun care, travel mugs and basic medicine cabinet fare. Victor was helpful again with ordering some things from the pharmacy for us that saved the day when our daughter got a touch of sun poisoning. Do not skimp on the spf and reapplying! The maid staff did a great job every day cleaning and restocking the room. Staff was so friendly!

Overall we liked the resort, but there were a few little things that could have made it better. We stayed in an ocean front room with an amazing view, balcony on first floor, and a hot tub on second floor balcony. The hot water on the hot tub did not work, but we did fill it with cold water and let the sun warm it up. The room was pretty good, but open floor plan with only a curtain separating the shower and bath from the main area. Prolly fine for couples, but a little inconvenient for a family of 4 with two adult children. The shower was nice with two overhead shower heads, but one of the handles came off in my hand the first time I showered (was obviously already messed up and had been just stuck back on). There were some other cosmetic things with the room we noticed but we are not picky travelers, so none of this was a huge deal for us. Overall the food was good, we were alway able to find something everyone liked. Fish fingers at the food trucks and the chicken strips at Nibbles were really good for lunch around the pools. Omelettes are always my favorite, and they were amazing. Resort has lots of bar options. No problems finding a drink, but the fridge in the room was only stocked with two beers a couple of days and none a couple of days. Not enough for 4 adults, but again, not a big deal for us. The beach is nice but the water wasn’t “pretty” in the swimming area. Quite a bit of sea weed, but they were working hard to clean it up everyday.

The Royalton Cancun was a beautiful property! Our room had a rooftop terrace with a hot tub! I especially loved the shower with 2 rainfall heads plus a handheld shower head. Staff was very fast at bringing requested items to the room (towels, water, etc). The spa services were amazing but set lower prices would be appreciated rather than having to negotiate with random people at the resort.... Nightly entertainment was wonderful with plenty of seating but not enough servers. Specialty restaurants and enormous buffet were amazing! More staff at pool bars and on the beach would be helpful. Overall I give this resort an 8 out of 10. Can't wait to see the planned improvements! We will likely return!

Gorgeous room… however i couldnt use the jacuzzi on the terrace that is specifically bought that room for because it would constantly make my power go out! Reservations for restairants constantly booked so i was only ever able to eat in the buffet.. buffet food was decent however i wanted to experience the other restaurants!!! So not fair smh i wouldnt go back.. however it wasnt TERRIBLE.. but just not for me

The property was beautiful and the staff was very nice. The resort was very accommodating to any needs that we had. I will definitely come back here in the future. It was quiet and I felt like I was in my own oasis while being there. The room was spacious and had a jetted tub in the room and a jacuzzi on the balcony ☺️☺️ Please go visit this resort, definitely worth it!!

I’m not usually one to leave reviews but when I booked this trip and read other reviews it made me hesitant I’d like the resort but it was fantastic. Gorgeous interior. Really nice room. Only bad thing about our room was the jacuzzi wasn’t hot, the water was room temp. We enjoyed the entertainment- specifically the band and dinner at both the hibachi and steak house was amazing. The best part was how close to the airport it was (a 15 min cab ride) so we could maximize our short trip at the resort. Staff was lovely and very accommodating.

This hotel was good. The food was okay, making reservations for the on site venues was a bit rough, as you have to download an app and do it online. When we went to make reservations, we found that most places were completely booked. We were able to book the fish restaurant once, and there wasn’t much fish on the menu. The buffet was the best eating option in my opinion. I loved my room with ocean view and terrace jacuzzi. It was amazing. I hopped in the hot tub while it was raining. I think I would book again just because of the terrace jacuzzi. The staff was okay as far as customer service. On our last day the swim up bar was supposed to be open at 10, and they kept delaying and did not open until 10:40. That frustrated me. I also had an instance where the gift shop closed early due to a power outage. One suggestion I would make is that this hotel get a charging station for guests. My friend and I both had instances where our chargers stopped working and we were both panicking to figure out a solution while on vacation. Overall I thought this was a great hotel. I loved the coffee shop. The pools were amazing. The entertainment was so wonderful. There was no need to leave with the club on site, my friend had a great time enjoying the resort.

Of activities such as pool parties and kids rooms, "teens room" , ping pong tables all over the place Bars in the pools with free cocktails and drink "Vibe teem" (entertainment teem" with different activities such as "netball pool style game" and balloon war in the pool. Clean Jacuzzi in the junior suit! Big bath 9 different restaurants : sushi and tapeniaki , Mexican, meat , Indiana, Italian, pool buffet {cheese burger and hot dogs} , sea food, the wonderful and my favorite the big buffet, And other kind of restaurants I didn't get to see beacuse is only for "diamond club" or with extra charge... Just returned from a week stay and my whole family had an amazing time at this property and would definitely recommend for large groups with all different age groups. There was something for everyone and they made sure there was some kind of event or entertainment each day to keep it fun. I definitely need to shout out Victor that does the pool volleyball and activities daily. He made our afternoon pool time amazing and so funny. He even took time to go down to the beach with our family to help us take photos of our group of 19. Then the bar staff by the pool bar was great. Especially, Georgio he was so kind and really made sure we all enjoyed our drinks all day! PLEASE remember to tip these guys. It’s hot and they are really working hard. I was alittle nervous about the food seeing there has been some negative reviews prior to us going. I wouldn’t say any of the buffet food was amazing, but good enough. I think you can’t expect much of a large buffet trying to appeal to the masses but it felt clean and no one got sick, even some of our group took a chance eating the sushi and raw fish and they were fine. We were able to get reservations at the steakhouse, Brazilian and Hibachi restaurant. The food was fine, but the staff at all 3 made it worth it. Everyone was so nice and great at accommodating our huge group. Hugo at Zen Hibachi restaurant so amazing, made our last night memorable. All in all great time.

This resort is amazing. It has lots of entertainments that families can enjoy. It has huge pools and waterslides . The lazy river is fun for those wanting chill time at the water. Apparently, we were assigned in a room for expedia vip, which is huge, comfortable and clean. There's housekeeper coming everyday to clean, change beddings and refill towels, soap, etc. There's also another staff coming to give us bottled water and refill mini bar. My main concern is the food. I didn't enjoy the food at the international buffet. Typically, everyday you see the same menu. Guests have options to make reservations at their restaurants but impossible to make one as it's always fully booked or close. Thankfully, I am an expedia vip and apparently they give priority to this group and all I had to do was to send a text message to this expedia personnel and he'll make all the arrangments. He had made our stay in this hotel quite easy, memorable and enjoyable. Without him, my family wouldn't experience dinner everynight at different restaurants as well as the free bowling that we enjoyed. Another major concern is guest service staff trying to confuse you with "free massage or free cabana" and eventually will talk to you abiut becoming prime club member. The confusion is, you approach them for questions and for help but will start speak to you about prime club membership. Yes, so guest service staff were not helpful at all to guests.

Unforgettable Stay at Royalton Splash! Our stay at Royalton Splash was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed—especially by the hotel manager, Cesar, who greeted us personally and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. That kind of service really set the tone for the rest of our trip. The resort had everything we could ask for. The waterpark was a huge hit with our kids—they couldn’t get enough of the slides and the lazy river! It’s truly a perfect place for families to relax and have fun. We were also blown away by the food. The restaurants on-site were amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious meals. The service at every restaurant was top-notch—friendly, fast, and professional. This was one of our best vacations yet, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year. Stayed at resort for 5 days in June - group of 7 of all ages, w/ multiple rooms - stayed in a luxury junior suite (non-diamond club). Pros • Multiple large pools, water seemed well maintained • Different water parks for all ages, including lazy river • Fully equipped gym (best we've seen) • Resort & guest rooms appeared well maintained • Family friendly nightly entertainment So/So • Most pools were 4.42 ft deep - too deep for younger kids to touch • Kids club seemed more for 7-8 years old or younger • Food was comparable to other AI resorts • Only purified water available at bars and restaurants, no bottled water - only in rooms • Larger resort with a 1000 rooms = getting around takes longer • Wristbands used as room key = convenient, but the closing/tie mechanism needs improvement •Pool chairs get reserved around 7am when towels are put out Cons • Incredibly slow check-in • Slow service everywhere, seemed understaffed, especially in the restaurants • Reservations needed at every restaurant-can't be booked until you're checked in - especially difficult for large group • Food trucks never opened on time, didn't have menus posted & long line/wait with limited shade • Maintenance requests not fulfilled, after multiple requests • App schedule for restaurants & activities didn't always match up • Hot, slow and small elevators • Stairwells: difficult to find & gross - didn't seem designed for guest use. Overall: We would return to this resort. Had a great time, plenty to do!

We were a family of three travelling for vacation. The resort was lovely, clean and was just what we were looking for. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. The water slides need two riders on most of them. Also they are NOT for adults. Adults weren’t permitted on them expect one of them. Teenagers and youth were allowed. It didn’t make sense as this is a family friendly resort and parents wanted to participate in this fun with their kids. The pools were nice, we had a nice partial ocean view room that was clean and comfortable. The food was great with many dining options for everyone. There was so many we didn’t get to visit them all. The BBQ was our favourite! We also enjoyed the steak house, the cave for a special show (additional cost) and Rio. Service was good in all restaurants and bars. It was quite busy being spring break season. The staff worked very hard and were attentive. They also were amazing at preparing dietary restrictive meals. Going back to family time. We were very disappointed that we (my husband, two year old and I) Were turned away the first time from kids club as we didn’t have socks. Understandably we returned ready to play and have a break from the sun. Again when we returned we recieved unfortunate news that only one of us could participate with our child. We didn’t want to split up as this was a family trip. It didn’t make sense as only one parent at a time could participate in this activity. We won’t be returning.

Second time in Haven Riviera Cancun excellent very enjoyable super friendly hosts awesome rooms with jacuzzi in balcony great pools amazing food they go above and beyond shout out to FELIX and ARTURO from the buffet area every employee is amazing will be going again for the third time they do so many activities so so fun also Sahel from the pools is great !!! Please go we bring home so many beautiful memories we are naturally from Puerto Rico but live in the USA but still decided to go a second time thats how much fun we had and how much we loved it Ricardo Mercado and Yomary Mercado

Nice big room with comfy bed/pillows. Loved jacuzzi in balcony with beautiful view. Buffet restaurant had plenty of food with numerous choices all three meals. Great wine and coffee. Loved high protein bread. I give high praise to house keeping staffs. Morning and evening rounds daily. Extra touch with flowers and towel art. Made me feel very special. I was very well pampered all around by every staff.

What an amazing resort! We stayed for 14 nights in August 2025. The weather was hot - mid 30s - and we stayed most of the time in the resort and enjoyed every second. The room was large and always kept clean, and the balcony jacuzzi was a lovely treat. There is a quiet pool and a busier pool and we enjoyed both, the latter was great for activities as well as some good dance music. The staff are brilliant, particular shout out goes to Jose Martin (pool concierge) who looked after us all holiday and did a nice sand display on our final day as a thank you (unfortunately I don't have the photo but it was a lovely touch!). Also Moises and Julian, the pool waiters, were top notch, we never had an empty glass. Another shout out to Sandra in the restaurant who made us feel welcome on our first day and remembered us throughout the stay! Food amazing with at least six restaurants - we particularly enjoyed the Asian. This is a 5 star resort and it didn't disappoint :)

This was my second time staying at Haven Riviera Cancun, and I already can’t wait to return. The resort is absolutely beautiful — elegant design, relaxing atmosphere, and so many activities to enjoy throughout the day. What makes Haven truly stand out is the incredible staff. Enrique from the buffet is amazing — friendly, attentive, and always entertaining. Maria at the main lobby bar is a ray of sunshine, always smiling and welcoming. And Adrian from the Serenity Club makes the best drinks — a true artist behind the bar! One of the things I love most about this resort is how kind and respectful they are toward the beach dog and cats. Unlike other hotels that often chase animals away, Haven treats them with compassion. The animals are calm, respectful, and stay mostly by the beach, never bothering guests. Many of the cats are gentle and friendly — they even let you pet them if you approach kindly. It was so heartwarming to see how the staff makes sure they’re safe and cared for. There was one sweet cat I completely fell in love with and wished I could take home! Overall, Haven Riviera Cancun is the perfect mix of luxury, warmth, and genuine humanity. It’s definitely one of the tops hotels I have stayed in Mexico. Between the beautiful setting, amazing service, and compassion toward all living beings, it truly feels like home in paradise. 🌅🐾

The service was exceptional, the staff made me feel so welcome and went out of their way to make things easy for me effortlessly. They gave me an early check in and late checkout without me asking and were so helpful. I loved the magic show, I wandered in thinking it would be for kids but he was one of the best magicians in the world who had previously won Latin Americas got talent. The restaurants were amazing and food options were great. I loved the pool and beach and my room with the jacuzzi overlooking the beach was divine! Thankyou for your hospitality 😍

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Sensira! We booked an Amber room, which was perfect—it came with a jacuzzi and an oceanfront balcony view. Our butler, Marcos, went above and beyond for us. He was so thoughtful, attentive and always ready to help with a smile. We’re incredibly grateful for him and everything he did to make our trip special. Huge thanks to Marcos, Rafael and the entire Sensira team for making our stay a true 10/10 experience!

This resort is so beautiful 10/10 . The lobby is breathtaking, the ambience is giving vacation vibes . and smells so good aromatherapy. I got the amber room with the Jacuzzi it was so beautiful and right next door was the amber lounge . Daily housekeeping was 24/7 .The buffet for breakfast , lunch , and dinner is excellent so many options . The rodeo steakhouse is very appetizing as well reservations needed. There are Mexican restaurant reservations needed , Italy restaurant reservations needed , and coffee/tea shop. the staff is very welcoming everyone treats you like a family here , big shoutout to Sensira team Marcos , Rafael , Humberto , Bellmar , Ruperto , Tony , Eva , Karina , Julio , Cristian , Alexzender , Suri , Angye ,Elisa, Angel , Angel Chocolate. Thank for a nice stay and I’ll definitely be back again. Also the resort is family friendly and 4 outdoor pools / cold plunge . Only this for me was the ziplining was closed for maintenance and there is a spa for full services massages and gym . So many fun things to do here .

This was our first all inclusive resort and it did not disappoint. It was everything we wanted and more. The staff were so attentive and welcoming. We opted for a room with jacuzzi ( amber room) and this came with access to an exclusive lounge. The bar here was so serene and the drinks always on point. There were 2 butlers who were available for anything we needed. Humberto was AMAZING, he went above and beyond and never disappointed. Constantly stayed in communication with us, any minor thing he made sure we were attended to. The food was sooo good, the buffet constantly had top notch food. Rodeo was the best restaurant. We mostly y stayed in our adult only pool area which was mostly empty ( which we loved). Everything was top quality. Oh and every night housekeeping would do a night complimentary clean and they’d always leave sweet little notes/gestures. I will say you should bring money to tip or have change before coming. Sometimes you’re able to break 10$ or 20$ ( to leave for tips) but bigger bills might be hard.

My husband and I stayed for three nights. We received a warm welcome upon arrival by our butter. Joao and later Raphael and Luis at the buffet restaurant all did excellent job taking care of us . The Ruby room is the best for couples. It has spectacular views. We enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi overseeing the ocean. Dining in the buffet was good. Some days have a variety choices . The Mexican restaurant was a disappointment and needs improvement. It has the poorest quality food and we left without eating. Another improvement that we think is needed is room service menu. It needs variety. Over all it is a clean beautiful place we will plan to return again.

Beautiful room (junior suite), lovely pool areas, beach was gorgeous too. Amazing food, the a la carte restaurants were 5 star. Unlimited mini bar and jacuzzi in our room! All of the staff was so friendly and helpful.

I visited Secrets Maroma 10-20th September 2025. What an incredible experience. Albeit the weather was poor, overcast and rainy more days than not, Secrets Maroma did not disappoint. We went to celebrate my girlfriend's 30th birthday. On arrival cold flannels to wipe our faces and champagne handed to us. Happy Birthday Sache on the door and a cake left in the room. The rooms are extremely clean, huge bed and jacuzzi bath was brilliant. The pools are nice, warm water and entertainment on all throughout the day such as pool volleyball, pool basketball and other fun activities. The pool swim up bar is also great. The staff can't do enough for you, they are extremely polite and have great attitudes. A special shout-out to Daniel our personal concierge...he even sorted me a pair of smart trousers for free so I could eat inside the restaurants, he went above and beyond on multiple occasions. My only slight criticism would be some of the food was not mind blowing, the french and Italian restaurant were absolutely incredible however some of the other Al a carte restaurants just didn't seem as good a quality, albeit they were still nice. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, maybe just go when it is less likely to rain.

This resort exceeded all my expectations. It was clean, staff was attentive, food was delicious, environment was not too crazy or overcrowded. Everyone was so professional, well groomed, and well dressed. The club access rooms were beautiful as well and had Jacuzzi inside the room and on balcony. Hans and Orlando greeted us very nicely, Mari cleaned our room and left it in an excellent shaped, Roger our concierge was excellent and was very attentive. The staff had no issues making personal accommodations as we were celebrating my mom’s 60th birthday. I look forward to staying at another secret resort again, hopefully soon.

We’ve stayed at a number of Secrets resorts as well as Hyatt Ziva, Dreams, Breathless, etc… and we’ve tried a handful of other brands of all-inclusive in Riviera Maya as well… but Secrets Maroma Beach is the only one I’ve bothered to review because it was THE BEST food and service we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. The hotel is great, the rooms are nice and spacious the beach is perfect and much nicer than other Cancún beaches… but the food quality and service really stood out. Victor did a great job taking care of us on the beach every day and we were never without drinks or snacks, he even knew what to bring us before we asked! The breakfast buffet was good (I mean it’s a buffet so “good” is about as good as it gets) but the individual restaurants were really great and far above our expectations and other experiences. Victor the manager of Oceania was an amazing host and Beder the chef gave us a great meal and even came out to thank us for dining. The Italian restaurant was probably our favorite and we have very high standards for Italian food. Great experience at the 6-person Teppanyaki grill which we always do at an all-inclusive but even though the meal and show was the same the food was just better! Everywhere we went concierges, waiters and hotel staff were gracious and helpful and quick to ask if everything was okay and if anything could be better. We will 100% be back… Secrets Maroma Beach checked all of our boxes and has earned themselves a repeat customer.

Had a great time on a short girls trip. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and number of food options. Best restaurant we tried was the French restaurant. Enjoyed poolside buffet options and morning breakfast buffet was a highlight. Enjoyed dance lessons with Oscar and our concierge Erik was always available to assist with a smile. Staff was over the top friendly overall. Morning yoga on the beach was a treat! (I hope the hotel considers building a covered structure on the beach to enjoy a shaded experience.) I hadn't previously traveled to this area in mid October and was concerned about forecasted rain. It was totally fine...some showers at times, and then quickly cleared up. It actually made the sand not too hot to walk on. I was also concerned about reported construction work noise. Our building was by the main building and we heard nothing. The spa was lovely. Highly recommend a massage on the beach as well. Some of the live music, like harp at breakfast, was enjoyable. Enjoyed the hobbbiecat boat and paddle boards too. I definitely feel like we received good value for the price. Only negatives are some of the entertainment was a little cheesy, but likely to be expected. And lots of plastic trash build up (not on hotel property and not something they can control) that makes a long walk in the beach less enjoyable.... We always picked up some while walking.

Stay time: June 16-22 ROOM; Booked this all inclusive resort for myself and my girlfriend for our one year anniversary. We were very happy with the room situation (preferred king room with ocean view). Room layout included a large living room section, with a king bed and plenty of room to move around. There was a large balcony with a jacuzzi which we did not get the chance to use. Would highly recommend this room to a couple who values each others space (had our own seperate closets and sinks, with a safe). Bidet is also included in the seperate toilet / bathroom section of the room with its own sink. Room came complete with a mini fridge that was stocked with 4 Dos Equis’s every day, two bottles of water, as well as regular and Diet Coke. You can always request more from room service. The preferred section of the resort is adults only and has access to premium alcohol (only one bar in the lounge area, indoors) as well as a seperate pool area from the family side, along with private beach access also seperate from the family side. RESORT EXPERIENCE: Despite being a adults only + family resort, the family side was a ton of fun with activities and events happening every day with specific areas for younger kids to participate in day care and teenagers to play games like ping pong, video games and pool. The family aspect did not inhibit our experience whatsoever and most parents with kids were very fun. If anything it made the experience even more enjoyable.

The resort was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. The staff were amazing! They were so welcoming and friendly and made guests feel welcome and so comfortable. They always had a positive attitude and didn’t make us feel like we were a burden. We got fast food and drinks served to us wherever we were: the beach, the pool, room service, etc. The food was also delicious and there was a variety of selections for the buffet. I loved that it is very family friendly. There was daily entertainment but by 11pm everything was off and quiet, which I appreciated because we had little ones. The kid’s center wasn’t very entertaining but overall, our kids had an amazing experience. The pillows in the room smelled a little musty but overall, this is a 5 star resort. We will definitely be back.

Everything was AMAZING!! The staff are extremely friendly and always very helpful. The resort is beautiful and elegant, definitely top notch. The food was great. Our favorite restaurant was Spice. The beach was a little rocky with some seaweed but nothing to complain about. We find a section that was Crystal clear. Absolutely beautiful. The pool area was always fun and full of different activities. There was always something to do all over the resort from morning to night!! We had an ocean view junior suite and received a free upgrade to the Preferred side with a hot tub right on our balcony with a gorgeous view of both the pool and the ocean!! The room was really beautiful and comfortable. Very spacious and very clean. We give this resort a 10/10!! We will definitely be returning!!

Everything was perfect! The staff was by far the most accommodating and friendly of any all-inclusive I’ve ever stayed at. Edgar in VIP services and gave us a quick tour upon arrival and made sure we had all the info we needed for our stay. He checked in on us daily and took great care of all of our needs. All of the bartenders and wait staff were friendly and seemed to love their jobs. Our room was wonderful and more than I expected. We were in room 4114 which was a great location. The noise was never an issue for us but you can hear activity in the commons area. Close to pools, shops & restaurants. The buffet food was good for a buffet with stations set up for omelets and tacos etc made to order.. We didn’t get a chance to try Spice because you have to make reservations between 3p-4p and we didn’t want to stop what we were doing to make reservations. The other restaurants were great though! And 24 hour room service was useful for the evenings we accidently napped through dinner time after long days in the sun! As other reviews mentioned there aren’t enough chairs at the pool or beach so if that’s important to you get down there early. It wasn’t a major inconvenience for us as we just found a spot near the pool for our stuff until chairs opened up. Puerto Morelos is a $12 taxi ride and was fun to wander around and shop. Very safe! Definitely check it out! We will be back!
