Had a good timeonly issue was the hottub wasnt hot enough and pool was poorly maintained by the pool guy. Way too much chlorine or to little just wasnt right. Overall the place and room was good just wished they had Smart TVs

Great location right off 90. 5 minutes to big box retailers and chain restaurants if you need something. 8 minutes to downtown Rapid City. Easy drive to Mt. Rushmore, Custer, Crazy Horse, and The Badlands. Close to all the fun stuff on 16 (Reptile Gardens, Bear Country USA, etc.). The hotel is super clean. Rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of towels. Huge bathroom. The staff was friendly and happy to give recommendations. We were there 5 nights and couldn't believe how quiet it was. Housekeeping every day unless you don't want it. Standard hotel breakfast, but had plenty of choices. Firepit and seating at the back of the hotel. You can walk to Scooters for coffee. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Breakfast good, a good selection. Coffee in lobby if you want it during the day. Breakfast staff kept up with filling food. They were very friendly. Front desk very nice accommodating. Easy access to highway, gas station, restaurants. Lighting in park lit good, felt safe. Extras to buy at front desk little mini store. Clean room , clean bed, comfortable , ice and laundry close to get at. . We stay here when we come visit. We really enjoyed our stay. People guests nice. Sufficient parking for everyone. Keep up the good work.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 I had a great stay at Best Western Plus Rapid City Rushmore! The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of the city, which made driving around super easy—whether I was heading into town or exploring the surrounding area. The parking lot is huge, so no stress finding a spot. Inside, everything was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. One of the highlights for me was the amazing breakfast—they had a great variety, and I especially loved the Greek yogurt (seriously, that was a nice surprise!). There were a lot of little things that added up to a really comfortable stay. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

We highly recommend this hotel. The customer service is outstanding— they really go at the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The bed is very comfortable, and the room spacious and clean. They have an excellent breakfast, far better than most. And we especially appreciated how quiet it was. The hotel is set back a block and a half from a busy highway and two blocks from the freeway on the side of it. We slept like babies because it was so peaceful and quiet – – a perfect location! We will stay here again in a heartbeat!

Ended up being an excellent 3-night stay after two cleanliness issues upon arrival. The hotel manager dealt with the issues in a professional and helpful manner as soon as he became aware and the rest of our stay was excellent! We had a spacious king suite and for the most part, was quiet. At the time of year we were there, other guests seemed to be couples and a large number of government or contract workers who were quiet and left early in the morning. We especially liked the safe and quiet location on the hill which also had safe walking areas; a Walmart and fast food was just a mile or two down the hill. Breakfast was usual HIX fare and was well maintained. We would definitely stay here again and if not for the initial issues I would have rated it a high 5!

This was a pleasant surprise!! We booked this last minute on our trip as our travel plan changed. When I went in to check in the friendly so helpful young lady at the front desk was so polite, efficient and professional. Loved that she smiled and was so welcoming. Every staff person was smiling and welcoming. Breakfast was so good and so many choices. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Location was also a surprise. Loved that it was close to attractions like Mt Rushmore, but not congested like downtown area. Will be staying there on future trips.

Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was exceptionable for a free hotel breakfast. Location was far enough off the highways to be quiet, yet convenient for ease of commuting back into town for meals, hospital. or for continuing on to Rushmore and the Black Hills. Rates were competitive for the area and cheaper than other areas we need to visit later this summer, like Cheyenne and Hays, KS.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel also offers excellent facilities, such as a lovely pool, jacuzzi, gym, laundry service, and snack machines, which made the stay even more convenient. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the Staybridge Suites Rapid City - Rushmore, an IHG Hotel, was absolutely fantastic! The hotel provided everything we could have hoped for during our visit to Rapid City. The suites were spacious, beautifully clean, and equipped with all the comforts of home, making our stay feel extra special. The jacuzzi tub located near the pool was the best on our 4 state visit. One of the highlights of our stay was Doug, who managed the kitchen. He went above and beyond each day, making sure the breakfast was always fresh, well-stocked, and delicious. Doug’s warm and friendly approach created such a welcoming atmosphere, and his attention to detail made the morning experience exceptional. The location was ideal for exploring Rapid City and the Black Hills area, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring we had a wonderful stay. We stayed for 5 nights in a studio King and really enjoyed the hotel. It is clean and modern with very friendly staff. Our room was clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. We had ample storage space for our belongings. The kitchen was modern with stove top, refrigerator and microwave, plus coffee maker. All the kitchen supplies we needed were there. Wifi signal was reliable. The free breakfast had many options and the scones were delicious. We also attended the social hours Mon-Wed evenings and while the food wasn't super healthy (think high-school cafeteria fare like chili, sloppy joes, pulled pork), we appreciated the effort and free drinks. The gym was modern and spacious, with a couple of treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, dumbbells and a pulley machine. The only drawback is that the lights automatically shut off several times when I was on the treadmill. While there is a free laundry area, several machines were broken the week that we stayed. Location of the hotel is convenient to shopping and there's a Super WalMart within walking distance. We would definitely return for a long-term stay.

It was a nice surprise that this hotel does a social hour Mon-Wed with free dinner, wine and beer. A full all you can eat buffet style dinner that was delicious. Breakfast was fantastic and different each day. Ive never seen a hotel breakfast buffet do country fried steak and gravy, have fill fruit and yogurt bar, bacon, eggs, omlettes, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with all the usual hotel breakfast staples. The pool & hot tub were perfect & the outdoor firepit was peaceful and turned on nightly. It is the perfect location right by all the shopping centers and restaurants. Grocery stores within walking distance. The room was great & clean. Nice full kitchen with included dishes, pots and pans, dishwasher and full size fridge/freezer. We will definitely be staying here again!

If you need a nice hotel to stay at, look no further than the Staybridge Suite Hotel in Rapid City. Waking up for breakfast you will be greeted by Doug and his team in the breakfast room. A great variety of food to choose from, the breakfast will not disappoint. Doug will give you the list of available food to choose from, Doug and his team do a great job on making your breakfast tasty and enjoyable. After seeing the sites around Rapid City, we came back to see the staff vacuuming the hallways and cleaning the windows. The rooms are clean and comfortable. After breakfast or dinner enjoy sitting outside for a quiet and relaxing rest by the fire pit. I couldn't of been more pleased with my stay at the Staybridge, the management and staff should be congratulated for a five ( 5 ) star experience and look forward to coming back sometime in the future. The stay made our trip that much more enjoyable.

Going to the hotel was a backup plan for us (our camping gear got demolished). Great rooms (we had a 6 person room). Solid breakfast. Kids loved the pool and jacuzzi. Staff was helpful and recommended a good local pizza place.

The hotel property has a Jacuzzi Tub and a Pool that is great for family and friends.

We started our trip to the Bighorns, Yellowstone, Tetons, Bozeman, and Devil's Tower/Black Hills here. It was a wonderful place to base upon arrival at the Rapid City Airport. The pool and hottub were great, and the suite offered plenty of room for our group of 5.

The rooms are nice size with a somewhat separated sitting area. Jacuzzi worked well. Good for getting on the way to the Black Hills without going through town. Good rate this time of year.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple days. The front desk employees were very nice and friendly. Our room was on the first floor near the pool. Even though the pool closed at 10:00 p.m. there were still children screaming in the hall. I would suggest you don’t stay on the first floor. The room was very spacious with a full-size sofa. The beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. The room also had a mini refrigerator, microwave and a safe. The breakfast was excellent, and it was by far the best we ever had at a hotel that was complimentary. The lady that is responsible for this this area did a wonderful job keeping everything stocked and cleaning the tables once people left. They had a pool and exercise room here as well. There were several restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if were in the area.

Location and amenities at the hotel were great. Lots of options of things to do and tours pick you up at the hotel. Really convenient for vacationing in the area. Hotel staff were friendly, personable, and accommodating. We ordered from the dinner and breakfast menu at the restaurant. 4 out of 5 stars. I had the eggs Benedict and it could have used a tad more flavor, but good for a hotel breakfast. Much better than standard continental. Service and quality were great.

Besides being very clean, warmly decorated-the staff was very helpful---I haven't had this friendly competent and gracious a staff at a hotel in a couple of years--I travel quite a bit and I usually stay 4-5 star so these people are excellent. the pool was a big hit for my grandkids every night. the restaurant and morning buffet was excellent.

The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the downtown area. There is ample parking space. The staff were polite and helpful and gave us an early check in. We had a suite with separate sitting room and bedroom. There was more than enough space for a couple. The room had a pleasant view over a park, was quiet and had comfortable beds. We slept well. There were adequate, reasonable quality, towels. The kitchenette was useful. We rated the hotel at 4 star standard.

Exceptionally clean room as well as common areas in the hotel. It was easy to walk with my cane as it has a zero-step entrance which I very much appreciated. The front desk associate was pleasant and helpful in assuring us our room would be located near the entrance so as to not require a lot of walking due to recent knee pain.We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful offerings at the complimentary breakfast! It was impressive that they had some gluten free selections, as well as for lactose intolerant individuals. There was a wide variety of food options- literally something for everyone plus plenty of comfortable seating options. The pool area looked very accommodating and family friendly, although we didn’t use that facility. Very nice place to stay and highly recommend it for anyone.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly when I arrived. The room was clean, along with the rest of the hotel. The continental breakfast was good, appreciate the hard work of the ladies working it that week. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t as good as back home but the soaps in the shower were nice. I would stay here again.

The breakfast was disappointing. The last two times we have stayed the pancake maker did not work. The sausage tasted funny. We actually went down and ended up going back to our room and ordered Door Dash breakfast from McDonalds. The staff at the front desk was ALWAYS friendly but the lady working the breakfast bar was borderline rude and acted annoyed by us.

We came for the Stock Show in January. This hotel is in a great location to easily get around Rapid City. It was clean, updated and had friendly and helpful staff. We had some minor issues with our bathroom, but all were fixed promptly. A hot breakfast was most welcome.

This was a great hotel. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were both very nice and friendly. The room was clean and HUGE. The bed was super, their TV service was very slow at changing channels, but had plenty of options. I had an accessible room, very nice set up for someone in a wheelchair, OTHER THAN, why would you put that room on the top floor, FARTHEST from the elevator! I know that has nothing to do with the hotel staff, but more to the dumb architect. I normally travel with my father who is bound to a wheelchair and so if they have an accessible room available I try to check it out if I am going to return there often. With that said, this would be a hard motel to move him around. The 4th floor hallway and room is all very cushy carpet, its great for walking but not easy to roll on. (also a design fault). As far as the hotel however, main floor was great, quality breakfast, great price, good parking and a few food sources within walking distance. The only thing I can say that was slightly bad was the shower stall, again the architect specified using granite as the wall material in the shower, well over time with the soap and cleaners it looks kind of gross at the floor/wall transition. Again, this is the only concern.

Room was very clean, huge comfortable bed, soft pillows--slept like a baby. The breakfast was the biggest selection I've ever had at a hotel and the food was delicious. Kudos to Chauncey in the kitchen. He kept everything supplied. Always checking to make sure everything was full and hot and good, bringing out fresh stuff all the time. He was very friendly and courteous--made you feel at home.

Excellent service food, friendly staff. Clean and cheerful environment. One of the best breakfast bars on our trip through South Dakota. Really liked the card given out at the front desk to select the level of room service you needed during your stay. No other hotel had this feature. The pool and hot tub were clean and well-maintained. This was a great stay for us.

The breakfast attendance was very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean. Everything was nice. Nice for you. Had fun on our excursions. The breakfast area was very nice. We’ll definitely stay again. Tina did a great job for breakfast. Good for you for the car and truck.

Great stay! Friendly staff, very clean room and comfy beds, breakfast was good, and the location is very convenient for visiting the Black Hills area. Both days, the breakfast was kept up with and always clean, which is exceptional (most hotels fail on this). Would stay here again next trip through the area!

The lady working the front desk, Stephanie, was the best. Friendly, professional, helpful, full of knowledge, a real joy to talk to. The breakfast was always hot, breakfast room always clean. The Staff that cleaned the room left the rooms looking like no one had stayed there. Clean rooms, bed made, bathroom clean, outstanding job!!!

Super friendly staff! Checked in at 10pm, and the desk clerk couldn't have been friendlier! As of July 1, 2024, the pool was not functioning, so maybe not a great choice for a vacationing family right now. Room was very clean and super comfortable. Modern decor and streamline finishes. Lots of usb ports for charging cords and lots of plugins. Breakfast was a standard hotel bfast that I didn't take time for, but the gravy for the biscuits and gravy smelled delicious! Morning check out staff was just as friendly as the night staff. They are remodeling, so there is some construction equipment around. Property sits in a cluster of other hotels, but is very well lit. Is a little tricky to find, but is easy to get to and easy acccess off of I90. DEFINITELY reccomend & will be my first go-to when coming thru Rapid City again.

This was a fabulous property. We would definitely stay here again there’s a shuttle you could take into Sturgis for $40 per person round-trip. There is coffee in the lobby every morning the beds are comfortable and staff is very helpful and friendly. There’s a restaurant for breakfast and dinner if you don’t want to leave. And 2 miles from lots of shopping and restaurants.

This was a very nice hotel with new and clean rooms. The breakfast and lunch area were clean with good food.Choice between breakfast buffet or ordering off menu. It has a small bar area to watch a sports event and have drink after as well.

We stayed here for a family trip after a different hotel in the area cancelled our reservation without notice. We had two adjoining rooms, each with 2 queens. The rooms were decently clean, could always be cleaner. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were ok. The hotel was pretty quiet, which is always one of my top concerns. The AC units had seen better days and could use some replacement. We purchased the breakfast add on and were pretty happy. The buffet didn't have many options that we were interested in so we did make to order and were very satisfied. I wish the hotel had real creamer/half and half for coffee, not just the shelf stable stuff, which is kind of gross. Overall a nice stay.

Spacious room, good wifi and friendly staff. Location very convenient near restaurants.

Very clean all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady in charge of breakfast worked her tail off every morning making sure everything was perfect.

The facility was close to my conference. The rooms were clean and comfy. The breakfast was really good with sausage patties, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and the usual items. Breakfast staff was really tentative and kept the area clean and stocked.

It is a bit difficult to get to if you don't know the street. No out let one way in and out was very secure. I appreciate the staff and cleaning crew. Very friendly and helpful. Wonderful pool area and plenty of pool towels. Outisde seating areas very nice. Close to hospital and other health facilities. Room was clean and very good condition. The tv. Was in and out with wifi issues, and that i did not even care about we were enjoying other amenities. We will stay again. Excellent job all! Keep up the good work. See you all again soon.

Good stay here for a few days whilst my motorbike was being serviced in Rapid City. The guy on reception was really friendly and very helpful. Room was good hotel was convenient for restaurants. Breakfast could be healthier but hey, its North America so what did I expect. Hotel could also try and use less single use disposable stuff (eg. plates, cups, cutlery etc)... but that seems to be a national obsession and not just this hotel chain.

Arrived in the dark- the young person checked us in was extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was doable but juice machine was broke down. Not drastic thing. Decor was non existent on the property. With exception, Christmas decor we saw inside and out was nice. Dining room had white walls, table and chairs and a tv. Very stark and unwelcoming. Our stay was ok. Employees were awesome.

I stay at this hotel frequently when I’m in Rapid City. It’s been quite nice since the remodel and the staff are always friendly. It’s clean, quiet, and comfortable for a great price.

Very modern updates, clean and the restaurant. The millstone family restaurant in front of the building was a great place to eat. I would definitely recommend and I will stay there again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! House cleaning was great! Breakfast was ok. Mexican restaurant next door was good. Beds were so comfy! Rooms cleaned and spacious. Swimming pool is great for the kids and the 2 hot tubs were so nice and relaxing! One bad thing was we were on the 4th floor and water pressure was so low, it took about 30 minutes before you got warm water and you had to shower quickly because we would loose the warm water within about 10-15min. Overall this was a wonderful hotel to stay at!

Hotel location was great. Right by the interstate, which made the travel to all of the sightseeing locations awesome. Upon arrival, at my request request, we got upgraded to a king suite which was spacious and comfortable. Staff behind the desk were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. An excellent Mexican restaurant is attached to the hotel. Bed, pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special. What you would come to expect in this class level hotel.

I loved the adult swim and hot tub time between 11-12 pm. It's good to work out the soreness of the day. We were tucked in the back on the 4th floor with quietness and privacy. We traveled with a Boston Terrier, and she didn't make a fuss in the room. That tells me they vacuum and clean the rooms well. The staff member Charles was professional and friendly upon check-in and was available to set up the timers in the pool room for us. The room was clean and Leslie left a nice message. Thank you, Leslie. Microwave and fridge in the room. The shower was great! Love the soft water. Ice machine across the hall was full. We didn't eat breakfast; resting was more important for us. However, when I went to the lobby for coffee, the room was packed with people eating cold and hot food. It looked acceptable. The parking was available for our Ford Expedition and U-haul trailer around the outer back perimeter. They have concierge carts to bring everything to the elevator in the lobby up to the 4th floor, surprisingly easy process when it's after 10pm arrival.

The hotel looked inviting when we entered - lovely decor and clean. Front desk staff was very professional and helpful when I asked about sights in the city and parking. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. I particularly liked one of the women who was working the breakfast room. She would cheerfully engage every guest in a short and welcoming conversation. I would choose to stay here again when I visit Rapid City.

This place REALLY exceeded my expectations -- it might be listed as a Howard Johnson but it is NOTHING like any of the Howard Johnsons we stayed on, on this road trip. Elevation's rooms are HUGE, spotless, super-comfortable, well-lit, and well-equipped. The staff was super friendly, parking was easy, and the fitness center, indoor pool, and hot tub were great pluses. The bed was super-comfortable and everything inside the room was new. Location was amazing for anything you want to do in the Black Hills area... plus I highly recommend staying in this city for best access to restaurants and other conveniences. Amazing price for the comfort and convenience. I hope to be back!

Beautiful property, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was extra special with pancakes plus fruit and whip cream for pancakes and waffles. The lady working in the breakfast room is Perfect at her job! Robert was friendly and helpful!

Overall, the property was clean and the remodel was evident. There were some signs of wear probably things that should’ve been replaced when they did the remodel, but they cheated out. Parking lot was convenient. We had a small trailer I was able to find parking with no issue front desk, staff were very helpful and friendly as was the breakfast attendant. Breakfast was actually surprisingly good. It was very busy at 6:30 AM but was still well stocked. I always wish they had more fresh fruit at these type of breakfasts, they did have bananas and apples. The jets in the hot tub were not working, we didn’t actually go swimming or get in the hot tubs because there was an absurd amount of men hanging out. Not the hotel’s fault just a total sausage party we didn’t want any part of.

Great accessible location with plenty of free parking. Friendly staff and good breakfast. comfortable bed. Visited during Sturgis bike week so quite pricey. Very easy and comfortable for a visit to Mt Rushmore and other local attractions. Restaurant now closed in the evening but food available at the bar. Otherwise the friendly Murphys bar with good food is just across the road.

Highly recommended to stay in the City of the Presidents. In the heart of downtown where you can meet all those statues of Presidents. Walking distance to restaurants and saloons. Cozy room. Airport shuttlee is provided with a fee. Restaurant and bar on the ground floor serves breakfast and dinner. Great breakfast but it is not included.

Great location, walkable to downtown which is why I stayed here because I did not rent a car for my trip. I ate the breakfast buffet one morning and it was just okay but not bad for $14. I took a Lyft from the airport to the hotel but was able to get an early morning shuttle to the airport for only $10. While I was not traveling with a group tour, I noticed this hotel was a meeting spot for many motor coach tours where guests were in the lobby every morning, waiting on the departure of the buses. I must say the bed was very comfortable for me because I like soft mattresses, and I think this is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that did not have down pillows which are not preferable for me anyway! I slept very well despite the noises that I heard from outside, including the nearby train and the lightest rainfall sounded like hail against the windows. The windows were not soundproof at all. The room was average/ fine, but the bathrooms could use an upgrade. There is vinyl tile on the walls in the shower and yellowed shower curtains, along with a finicky hot water temperature adjustment. Rooms do not include mini fridge so I couldn't take my leftover pizza from dinner. Overall, my stay was pleasant.

Imagine if your grandmother opened a hotel: dark woods, inviting chairs, board games, a warm and welcoming "vibe". This is exactly how we felt during our stay. The staff was courteous and attentive to questions. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were clean and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave, iron/ironing board and coffee maker in room. Hot water with good pressure. A/C worked well. This is a safe, quiet hotel with an outdoor pool and free continental breakfast. Perkins 24 hr restaurant next door. Target, Wal-Mart, Sam's, etc one block away. BEST location for seeing attractions, as it sits right off Hwy 90. Highly recommend!

We decided to book this hotel while traveling on vacation thru Rapid City SD, This is a nice uniquely appointed hotel with some sort of old school charm, Was in a good location, Had a very nice outdoor pool and lounging area, Staff was friendly and Rooms were very clean and Comfortable as well and towels were good quality....everyone in our group got a good nights sleep here. Rooms were also pretty spacious and had decent Wifi. Reason giving it 4 rather than 5 stars is while Pillows and linens were very comfy the beds were a bit on the firmer side. If you like a little firmer bed it would be just fine for you as was a friendly and clean place but was a little bit of a firmer bed. And bathroom area was very tight or tiny there wasn't much space between the toilet and tub area at all. It did have a larger vanity area outside the bathroom though for getting ready in the morning. Had good water and water pressure. Overall for the price paid it was a very good deal for the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Was good value overall and good location too.

We booked the Foothills Hotel for an overnight stay in the Rapid City area. We paid $105.61 which was one of the lowest rates for a night stay in the area. It was also the cheapest rate for an 8/10 rated hotel. The Foothills Hotel is conveniently located off major highways. It is right next door to a casino tavern and walking distance to a Perkins Restaurant. There are many conveniences nearby. There is some off-street free parking but not much turn around space for larger vehicles. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. There was a $10 "processing fee" upon check in and a $100 security deposit. The hotel is two stories but does not have an elevator. The grounds, building and rooms were clean. It was busy and there was some street and hall noise. We had a larger mini fridge with a freezer section though you had to plug it in if you wanted to use it. We had a microwave and coffee maker. We had a hairdryer, iron and board. We had a two-drawer dresser. There was a desk with chair, a separate lounge chair and a comfortable king bed. The bathroom had a separate vanity from the shower, tub and toilet. There was a reliable ice machine on the first floor. There was a protected outdoor pool with towels provided. The internet was free and reliable. The breakfast was very limited mainly continently fair (cereal & toast). The Foothills is sort of a throwback Hotel but in very good shape. It was a great place to stay while in the Black Hills.

Room was clean and spacious. Had clean sheet, towels, fridge. Everything was very nice. Quiet room, you can’t hear the upstairs or neighbor. Outdated but great price. Breakfast is okay. No fruit but Walmart is a block away. Would not suggest restaurant next door.

This hotel was very basic and met our needs, but at a minimum level. We were here for 3 nights and rented 2 rooms for a party of 4. During our stay, we had to order additional towels and washcloths. Strangely, there were no towel racks to hang wet towels, hand towels, or wash cloths. I guess they were just supposed to go on the floor. That would have been ok if we had room service to take away the dirty ones and replace them with clean ones. The room was nice, clean and basic. The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast fair with powdered eggs, funny sausage and usual other stuff. The coffee was just funny tasting colored water. We wanted to wake up with some COFFEE! Varooom! Put some grounds in it and start your engine. One of our party doesn't drink coffee, the other three of us independently without coercion said this coffee was BAAAD. We tried the room coffee and it was only marginally better. On this 20-day trip, we only found one hotel that actually had "good" coffee. This is not how we remembered it from past vacations and we don't think we are coffee snobs. The staff gave us great service and top notch recommendations for dining in Rapid City. We went to both - one nearby and one in historic downtown. Great recommendations by Denise and a huge thank you. The hotel was very comfortable for a vacation stay. We did however return for two nights at the end of our vacation and selected another hotel in the area that had a few more comforts for nearly the same price.

The breakfast was outstanding, delicious warm and nice variety, in addition to eggs and bacon or sausage, they had so many choices of toast, Danishes, cereal and make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit and great coffee. Dining area was spacious with plenty of seating, clean & very inviting. Rooms were very clean, modern up-to-date furnishings, nice thick towels and plenty of them, well working ac. Staff went over the top to accommodate us with early arrival. Location is perfect with so many dining, shopping and gas facilities to choose from. Right off the Interstate, but the rooms are nearly soundproof as I never heard traffic or guest walking down the hall, next door or above us or running of the showers. Beds are fabulous!! Slept better than I ever had while traveling. They had a full-house but we were made to feel as we were their only guest! Right where we needed to be for all the fun sight-seeing and attending the Bike Rally. I will see them again for sure!

Check in was amazing, friendly staff. Free HOT breakfast with coffee is included from 7am -10am. They have a pool which was nice but the hot tub was closed as well as the kids slide. It looked like they were both closed for maintenance. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Nice and quiet, clean hotel. Advertised that it is close to Mount Rushmore, the hotel is a 40 minute drive to Mount Rushmore.

All staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the night.

We were there for two nights and the first night & first morning they did not have bath towels available, we used the towels from the pool and during the first morning for breakfast they were out of cups, there was no meat offered for the hot breakfast. The 2nd mornings things seemed to be better but there was still no meat served. The slide and the hot tub were broke and the staff said they had no idea when would be back working. Outside of these little incidents the place was lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

This was a great hotel. Clean, very friendly staff. We got great information for viewing Mt. Rushmore and other things by the night staff. Very friendly man. Breakfast was good. It's also very quiet, we wondered if anyone else was on the level, yes there was, but we didn't hear them in the room. We also very much love the little kitchen and living room. Makes it so more comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Shout out to Brandy at the front desk! welcomed us in with her very upbeat fun personality! Free shuttle to and from airport its recommended to book yourself in advance which front desk can provide number. Room was spacious, clean, close to dining and shops, beds were comfy complimentary coffee in lobby and some breakfast. Grounds are well taken care of. I also like that they repainted the outside and added nice plants to compliment the exterior.

I loved the location, very easy off/on to I-90. Nice outdoor seating area with a grill and fireplace. The room was nice and spacious, my only complaint was the shower. The pressure was too hard and the shower head sprayed water in all different directions. Maybe it was just my room with a bad shower head. Blackout curtains would have been nice as my room was facing partially east so I had sunlight beaming in at 5am but the bed was very comfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear the conversation in the next room. Breakfast was pretty good. My first morning I woke up to staff knocking on my door at 7:45am, which was slightly annoying. Overall not a bad stay. Just maybe wait until at least 8:30/9am to knock on doors ;)

Central location. I liked having a separate bedroom. There was a full refrigerator, dishwasher, small stovetop, dishes, and a few pans. Air conditioning worked well. Curtains were heavy enough to keep light out in the morning. Room was very clean. There were two TVs. One in the sitting area and one in the bedroom. They were both large flat screens. Complementary breakfast was nice. They had some pastries, bagels, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, sausage and biscuits, waffle maker, juice, cereal, and yogurt. Breakfast goes until 10 AM which is nice. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant. They do not enter your room to clean. If you need more towels, you just put your basket outside the door with the dirty ones. You can also ask for anything else you need.

Fantastic experience. The room was spacious, clean and so well thought out. There was a closed shelving unit over the air conditioning that held the microwave, fridge and coffee maker that was such a smart use of space. The bathroom was large and very clean. There was a restaurant and bar that served decent food, and there was a patio area with a fireplace that was so nice to enjoy at the end of a long day of exploring the area. On top of that, the staff and service was great. Highly recommend!

This is the best Courtyard Marriott for sure in the Dakotas, probably a lot more than that. I travel a bunch with work and with family in the area so am thrilled that I've found the Box Elder Courtyard and I don't need to shop around anymore. The restaurant has terrific service for breakfast and dinner...it's a hopping joint! The gym is spacious with more equipment than expected. The rooms are big and clean! The front desk staff were capable, kind, and welcoming. What a great stay!

Had an incredibly perfect hotel stay here! Arrived early in the am so no rooms for available. Front Desk agent took all my personal preferences for my "ideal room and location". After a great day of area sightseeing, I arrive to the beest room I could have imagined--top floor, at the end, away from the highway, and spotlessly clean with extra pillows like I noted in my profile. The HVAC had the "Fan Always On" feature which is great for helping control any surrounding noise. Bistro had a great selection for breakfast, and I never had an issue with WiFi or finding a parking spot. Just an overall fantastic experience here. Spenzer (pm front desk agent) suggested some restaurants for us that were hidden gems downtown. She's a Rockstar! If you're in the Rapid City, SD area, stay here! You won't regret it.

One of the best courtyards I have stayed at. Very clean, great amenities, helpful staff. Small mini market and self serve coffee are nice convenience. Gym / Fitness center might be the best one I have used in a hotel. Three washers and dryers take credit cards, which adds to convenience. All the things gs you want when on the road for a few days. Bar is small but very nice and friendly bartenders.

We loved our stay here. The rate was very affordable, yet the room was still very nice - clean and pleasant smelling; full kitchen and full size fridge; ceiling heater in the bathroom; two large, clean, and comfortable beds; and a somewhat rustic look. It's only about a 10-15 minute drive to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park from here, so it's conveniently located. The staff was also very friendly. The only slight negatives are that the office is located across the one-way highway, so getting to and from is somewhat difficult (merging, crossing two lanes of traffic and turning >90 degrees within about 200 feet), and the breakfast is limited to coffee, bread, English muffins, two fruit (bananas and oranges), and cereal (i.e., nothing cooked); however, what is available is fresh and tastes good. If the limited breakfast keeps the cost down, I'll take it. The lounge area where breakfast is located is rustic and comfortable too. Overall a great facility.

Excellent location for visiting all the Black Hills area sights. Our room was one of a mid-century motel, so the room was small, very small, but clean and well maintained, with a hot shower and mini-split for heat/air. Breakfast was continental, and included fresh fruit daily. Breakfast was served in the lodge, a few steps from our room. The lodge had ample seating, with plenty of elbow room between tables. In the lodge were games, reading material, a tv and music. Very pleasant. The staff was welcoming, friendly, helpful and made for a really good experience. The value of the room rate was maximum and appreciated!

We had a fantastic weekend stay at this hotel from Friday to Sunday. The location is perfect—just a short drive to Mount Rushmore, which made our sightseeing incredibly convenient. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after our daily adventures. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for local attractions and dining options.

Really fun option en route to Mount Rushmore, great location and lovely staff. The rooms are small and basic but they are clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the lounge room is very cosy with the fireplace. The saloon bar across the street was really welcoming and had good food.

Very small room but beds were comfy and room was decorated super cute. Bathroom was a clean and shower worked good. Room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. The lobby was great with a huge couch in front of a fire. You could play games, watch tv and/or listen to music. Very cozy. Do NOT try to check in early. We were 30 minutes early after driving 7 hours and they told us to come back at 3:00 or we could go around back and let the kids play at the very little splash pad or the jungle gym. Other than that it was perfect for a night or two.

We slept well heard no inside or outside noise. Great location to shop, restaurants and checkout presidential statues.

The room (7th floor) was quiet and very comfortable. The location of the hotel was great as it was downtown and walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff was kind and helpful. We did not use valet parking but rather parked on the street for about $1.00/hour during 7am to 6pm (after these hours and weekends were free). The rooftop restaurant was delicious! The history was really neat and the lobby had a number of original pieces in it.

This historic hotel is centrally located in Rapid City, SD. The establishment features a rooftop bar and an Irish pub. Drinks and food were very good there. For breakfast, as Hilton Honors Gold members, we received $15 vouchers to use at the on cite Starbucks. A breakfast restaurant Tally’s Silver Spoon is right across the street from the hotel. It serves a wide range of delicious breakfast dishes.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Alex Johnson. I love this historic hotel. It has character, is warm and cozy, and is in a great location. Great hot water pressure in the shower. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. The lobby is comfortable and inviting. Breakfast onsite at Paddy O’Neill’s is good value.

The front desk staff and valet parking staff are friendly and helpful. I went to the rooftop bar，the food and service are both very good. I also went to the paddy oneill‘s bar，but it is very disappointing. The food is ok but the service is terrible. The only complaint is the room condition. It is not maintained very well. The crack between the door and the floor is so big，and I can see the light from outside. I stayed in several other historic hotels that are operated by Omni or Marriott. Their room conditions are much better than this hotel.

Not the most modern / up to date hotel I've stayed at. The inside is a little dated if you are expecting the newest and greatest. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had a small (what appeared to be red Kool aid) stain next to the bed. I've stayed at hotels that cost $350+ and received half as much. Good breakfast that was actually serve yourself buffet style (no grab and go worthless bags). Did I mention the top notch friendly staff. Saving money for this hotel made my trip even better. Won't say much for RT restaurant just steps away.

I’m very glad that the showers and drains ran properly! First thing I look for now when staying at a hotel. Swimming area was spacious with a small hot tub and sauna included. Breakfast was amazing with options of cooked eggs/bacon/sauges some days. Staff kept the breakfast room clean and well stock the whole time! My only issue, please remember to also clean inside the dressers as there were crumbs in ours that I had to clean myself. Overall, I would stay here again!

During our month long road trip, we found Comfort Inns to be the most consistent in quality and value. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet and the breakfast provided ample choices and was kept clean and well-stocked. Parking was safe and plentiful and we were not required to pay for it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food service was well-done. They had an attendant helping with breakfast and keeping all the tables clean. Bedrooms were clean. The shower head had excellent water pressure!! We will definitely stay there again. Just a quick note for people who don't usually travel with children. It's easy to hear footsteps in the hallways and upstairs because children are running back from the water park. So if you need it to be extra quiet, bring earplugs. Also, some people brought dogs, so just FYI in case anyone has allergies. Overall, we loved it and will stay again.

The property is in a convenient location, and is beautiful, very modern and clean. The beds were inviting and comfortable. There was a big TV and clean well laid out bathroom. The fitness room is open 24 hours and has lots of options. The indoor water park looked amazing although we arrived to late to enjoy it. They welcomed our pet kindly The value on a Sunday night was outstanding, even with the resort fee. The front desk staff was the most courteous of all our stays this road trip. We were visiting our military family who have just moved to the area and wanted a fun place to go after a busy and emotional move. This fit every wish we had! the hotel staff was very helpful and informative- especially Montana at the front desk. The room was clean and very comfy. We had everything we needed. The waterpark attached was easy to get to and the winter hours still in effect, worked well for our schedule. As stated in other reviews, we were impressed with the breakfast. Although it was the usual waffles, eggs, biscuits etc... the 2 staff people who were serving went above and beyond in help and friendliness. We have frequently stayed at other La Quinta hotels, but this one was a notch above

The waterpark was perfect for allowing the kids to roam while parents relaxed. Small enough to keep an eye on them, friendly for all ages. Great water slides. The hotel was CLEAN and welcoming. Close to the freeway. Central location approx 30 to 40 minutes from everything. We were ar Mt Rushmore one day, Custer State park the next, and Deadwood another.

Our stay was excellent. We liked our room and the waterpark was lots of fun! The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast, with quite a few options. The furniture in the room was worn and dirty and the pullout bed was very small and uncomfortable. With some furniture updates this hotel would be perfect!

We stay in Rapid city often on our way to Montana. We have stayed at many hotels in the area ranging from terrible to great. We will be back to this one. Every time we passed the front desk we were given a polite greeting, even our dog was greeted. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool area was clean and relaxing, and everything was in working order(believe me, this has not been our experience in this area). My family has picky eaters, and everyone was able to fill their bellies from their great breakfast. The only negative is that room 307 has a door that is difficult to open. The card reader was finicky, and you had to put your shoulder into it to get it open. This was a minor issue for us but may be a bigger deal to someone else. My compliments to the staff here it was impressive!

We stayed here on our migration south. We arrived in high wind conditions and the power went out. They were very accommodating by getting us into our rooms and assisting with flashlights. Clean spacious rooms, micro, fridge, iron, hair dryer and coffee in room. Full breakfast with hot and cold options. Comfy beds with multiple pillow choices. Nice pool and clean pool area. This is a pet friendly hotel so be aware there may be a noisy fur baby in the next room. We only noticed it when the owners must have been out of the room for breakfast. I was very happy with this stay and would highly recommend.

What an awesome hotel. We have stayed in over 15 hotels between LA and Rapid City and this one was the best. Starting from the great and friendly service from Mya right through to the beautifully presented room and the indoor water slide. We ended up staying 2 nights we enjoyed it that much. The room was very clean, large and comfortable. Beds are comfy and shower had great pressure and good hot water. It is a great central location to many fun things to do such as the Reptile Garden and the Warbird museum at the Airforce base. Can't recommend this place enough.

We had a great stay at Tru. We stayed for 2 nights with our dog. The front desk staff were always nice and answered any questions we had. Our room was very clean. When I booked our rooms, I mentioned that we would be traveling with our dog and they accommodated us by putting us near the stairs so we can easily take our dog outside for walks and to use the bathroom. Our dog sometimes is spooked by noisy hallways and neighbors but he was very comfortable because it was quiet. The breakfast was great. The breakfast attendant was very nice and kept the food fresh and the area was very clean.

The bed was so comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. Check in was convenient. This hotel is connected to Hampton Inn and you can eat breakfast in either dining room. Places to eat dinner are very convenient. It is a good place to stay to explore.

We had a king room right on the first floor, close to the lobby. It was very quiet. The room was so spacious, very clean with lots of counter and storage space. The bed was so comfortable. The downsides: very soft pillows, and the area around the desk and TV is dark, not enough light there, but only a minor inconvenience. Breakfast was the standard mix of cold and hot breakfast options - waffles, eggs, breakfast sausage, fruit, oatmeal, baked goods, etc. This works for a quick and convenient dining option. The hotel is set on a hill with amazing views and convenient to many stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. It was a great option while visiting Rapid City, easy commute to the many surrounding attractions. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others as an option.

Our room was very nice and exactly where we wanted it, on the ground floor and close to the pool. Rebecca was so Nice and welcoming, she was helpful and nice when we checked in, Customer Service is a big part so I appreciate staff that truly care about their customers. We absolutely love this hotel and everything with the room is perfect. We enjoyed the big open space, the great breakfast, the big open patio and furniture was so wonderful and relaxing. My girls have the most fun at the pool. Thanks Hampton Inn we can’t wait to stay again.

We had an excellent stay here when we visited the Black Hills area. The location is extremely easy to get to right off of i90. Our room was a 2 queen bed studio. There was ample room for a family of 4. We had a nice fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kitchen and bathroom sink. Plates and utensils were furnished. It was very clean, well lit and smelled fresh. Space was greatly utilized as the desk rolls out and the bathroom door is a sliding door. Also having end tables on both sides of the bed was a nice plus so all our devices could be charged. The Breakfast was fantastic. There is a lot of variety. Our options were sausage patties, egg patties, egg and bacon bites, french toast, a yogurt machine, apples, bananas, assorted cereals, 2 waffle makers, bagels, toast, and various toppings. They had fruit juices, teas, and coffee. I am not a coffee drinker but I enjoyed their coffee. An added bonus was being attached to Watiki water park which is included in your stay. It's a short walk from the lobby.

We arrived a little before check in time, to get our water park bracelets and the young man said they might have an available room. He checked and sure enough there was a room ready! I was so happy about that. Check in was amazing and quick. Upon entering our room, we felt comfort and joy. It was clean and inviting. My daughter was so happy, they picked out their bed and started getting relaxed. We enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness. We went for my daughters seventh birthday, she wanted to go to the water park. And it was connected to our hotel. The morning breakfast was amazing! And the friendliness of the staff was awesome! And they had coffee. We are definitely staying at Home2 Suites again!

This is one of my favorites in Rapid City and I have stayed several times. This stay was so comfortable and the hotel staff are very friendly. Breakfast is good and I appreciate that they have coffee very early in the morning. Also love the spacious rooms for the price.

Kitchen stocked with dishes, glasses and silverware and a few cooking items. Bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap and hair dryer. Lighting was adequate throughout. Morning complimentary breakfast was repetitive but met our needs. ( Eggs, sausage, bread, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, milk, juice) Great location near freeways for quick access to parks and tourist sites. Close to gas stations and restaurants. About 15 minutes to Rapid City airport. Ample free parking. Safe convenient location. Fun indoor water park connected for an extra fee. My only con was that the air conditioner is motion activated. The weather was very hot during our stay and the a/c would not continue to run without movement in the room. It did run ok overnight however, and was comfortable to sleep. Pets are also allowed here and we saw several dogs during our stay. Housekeeping during our stay was by request only.

This is the best hotel connected to Watiky water park: the rooms are very clean, spacious, we had all our cats. And the rooms come with all basic toiletries and cleaning supplies, great smart tv, custom to you, fridge, a lot of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, a full desk, chair, dressers, tv table, lighting, enough plugs for charging your electronics, enough towels, a full range and all kitchen supplies, dishwasher under the sink. This hotel even access to laundry in the first floor, free good breakfast, arcade, fitness room, mini shop, two restaurants , and the Waterpark. They even have RV parking and it’s free. the front desk people were very helpful and we had the veterans discount package special for Veterans Day, we had a great time, the hotel is near Mount Rush, wineries, the Bear country, and other great places.

This was everything that you expect from a Residence Inn. The hotel was clean, the room very well appointment, modern and beautifully clean. We were there with 3 grandchildren, so the one bedroom suite with the sleeper sofa worked perfectly for us. The kids were a bit disappointed that there is not a hotel pool. The breakfast was a typical hot and cold hotel breakfast, but there was not a waffle machine (which the kids love). The staff was very nice and we would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.

Large suite and perfect size for two adults with two teen grandsons who need space from one another. Comfortable queen beds and sofa pull-out, plenty of good breakfast food for all ages but would’ve liked it open later than 9am for we vacationers. Decent 40 minute drive to and from Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Downside is room’s windows face the interstate so can be noisy at times but was never awakened by traffic. The steel shower drain cover is cool but makes irritating dripping noises when used and the half open shower gets the bath mat soaked. For those with younger children, there is a small enclosed water park attached by hallways that not an extra charge, but our 14 and 17 year old were not interested. We would stay here again but would request a room not facing interstate.

Very quiet and convenient. My room was spotless and well supplied with amenities. The staff were welcoming and so friendly. Stacy checked me in Thursday evening 8/29. And she was there with a friendly greeting each evening when I came in over the next 3 evenings. Jen was on the desk the next morning with the same warm and friendly demeanor. A comfortable bed after a long day sight seeing was so welcome. The dining service was great as well. Same warm and friendly staff and well cooked, delicious food. I will definitely stay at Cambria again.

The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The restaurant onsite was great. They only had one person working the restaurant, but he did an excellent job with the number of people that were waiting. The food was cooked perfectly. He worked really hard to ensure that all the customers were acknowledged and taken care of. I was really impressed with his customer service and the food was excellent too. Perfect temperature, not burnt, tasted great, and it came out fast and hot.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Our sink clogged one evening, and the gentleman came up right away and took care of it. No time to use the pool, but it looked nice. We did eat at the restaurant once, and ordered to go another morning. Food was really good. Friendly service. They have a shuttle bus, but we didn’t need that either. We stayed for 4 nights while visiting the black Hills area, and felt very comfortable here. Would stay again, no question about it.

I stayed here for four nights while visiting the area. The common areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. The breakfast each day was decent; there were a variety of items that were well prepared and served at the right temperatures. The server staff were friendly. Most of the front desk staff were friendly, but one I interacted with was a bit irritable with me. Such is life. My room was spotlessly clean and and everything in the room was well maintained. As others have noted, the walls here are pretty thin. I could hear everything happening in the room next to me and I mean everything! LOL! Despite the thin walls, I still had a restful sleep, so no biggie for me, but that could have been a very different experience depending on who your neighbours are.

The hotel overall was great. Everything was very clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The waterpark was fun for our kids and us. The dining option for the waterpark, and room service, was fairly priced and pretty good. We stayed in one night after a long day and the room service was great. The hotel is right next to The Box venue where our daughter was competing and there was a path that made it very convenient to walk to. The breakfast was lacking in my opinion. The eggs were plain and the sausage was not warm. There were the usual yogurts, some bread, cereal, and a few pastries and fruits. We will likely stay here in the future but maybe skip breakfast.

We traveled with teenagers, and both rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was even nice and quiet, considering how busy it seemed. The housekeeping and front desk staff were incredibly nice and professional. Having Perkins and the water park adjacent to the hotel was very convenient. The water park was super-busy, but the kids had fun.

Stayed here multiple times — always love it! Very clean, friendly staff, all the amenities you could need, beds are comfortable, convenient location to restaurants, fast food, shopping, and interstate. Watiki Water Park is our favorite indoor water park (and this is saying a lot considering how much we travel and how many water parks we've been to).

Very comfortable hotel. The hotel was really busy with a lot of people and kids. Clerk put us on the 4th floor and it was very quiet. The breakfast buffet had fresh cut strawberries and homemade oatmeal not instant oatmeal. The water park was attached to hotel and was very nice for families with children.

Canyon Lake Resort is conveniently located on the edge of town and while I thought the traffic noise would be frustrating it wasn't at all. The lake and park are absolutely beautiful and I felt safe walking alone every day during our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and did some magic to make our unplanned extended stay enjoyable and convenient. And the rate was excellent for what we got. I was ready to go home but sad to leave the resort and Canyon Lake. I highly recommend Canyon Lake Resort!

We stumbled across this place on our travels, and couldn't have been more pleased. There was one cabin available, next to the office, and next to the reunion tent, so we expected noise, but even with plenty of people around, it was quiet. Cabin was clean and very comfortable. We took paddle boat out in evening and enjoyed the water and all the birds. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again, and would highly recommend!

Nice location by a small lake. Clean, older style, drive up motel. Don’t expect high style, luxurious bath soaps, etc. Room seems to have been painted recently. A new mattress would be nice. Desk person at check-in was friendly. Nine minutes to downtown bars and restaurants.

We stayed in the cutest tiny cabin with our own front porch with a table and chairs and our own grill. The room was small but it had everything, kitchen table, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stove top, dishes. A great shower and tub. The bed was comfortable and the cable tv channels were too many to count. The people in the office were super friendly and accommodating. We were only staying for one night but would have loved a week.

Thiught i grabbed a 2 queen, but this was a king setup. Ground floor, with sliding exit glass door. Locking latch mount was coming loose from wall. Walk-in shower had tile floor with lots of grab safety bars. I found the entry door latch a bit difficult to open; strange as this was handicap accessible room. Front desk coffee was terrible. We bought breakfast at onsite restaurant and it was excellent.

I’m in Rapid City pretty frequently for work and I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels, this will now be my go to when I stay here. Great price, super clean modern rooms, comfy bed and it was very quiet all night. Directly off the interstate so it’s a great location but it’s still not noisy. Staff was very friendly when I was checking in. The room has a nice TV and a very soft blanket and the AC works very good. Room is a spacious, has a kitchenette and a full size fridge and there’s a truck stop within walking distance if you want to save some money and buy food to cook yourself. From my experience every hotel in Rapid City is either really expensive or really sketchy but this place is neither! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

Comfortable bed, nice shower with good pressure, lots of hot water, a free-flowing drain and a handy grab bar. Good amount of space around the bathroom sink to set toiletries. Full kitchen, loved the table with two chairs and there was also another comfortable chair. Good lighting in the room, fast elevator, easy parking. Efficient and friendly front desk staff.

This hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It had the best breakfast options of my whole trip across country. Very clean, and I especially liked that it had a full size refridgerator, and 2 burner stove top.

This property was located, conveniently right off the freeway. However, you did not hear any freeway noise. It had a pool and Jacuzzi however the pool was not working, but I did use the Jacuzzi. I had my dog with me and that worked out well they had a good breakfast in the morning and the staff was extremely helpful.

The hotel is a great value. Sadly, it was underused over the Christmas holiday. The facility and staff were all top notch. Located 10 miles closer to Rapid City, they could charge double or triple their rate. It is located right on I-90 and so it was quick trip into town. I had a queen suite which included a sofa, chair, end table, lamp, microwave, mini fridge, sink, tv, luggage rack and closet in one area. Then double sinks with mirror and hair dryer and a separate room toilet and shower. Then came the queen bed with a work table and chair and a larger TV. All for a jaw dropping low price. Over my four night stay, every staff member I encountered looked me in the eye and said hello or Merry Christmas. On my arrival, there was a problem with the electronic lock on my door, so I was immediately switched to a different room and given an apology. The included breakfast had a waffle maker, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, apples, hot and cold cereal, mini muffins, juices, coffee, and a TV in a nice sized separate room near the front desk and with a pool view. However the pool was closed awaiting a new pump. So call ahead when you book if that's important to you. There is very little retail in the immediate area. Across the street there is a gas station, supermarket, and Pizza Hut. Next door there is a convenience/liquor store and around the corner a Dollar General. I hope the residents of this small town recommend this hotel to their friends to keep it afloat.

Family spent 1 week there for SD vacation. Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, excellent facility. Convenient just off I-90. Close to all Black Hills sites. Lynn's Grocery & Gas across the street very convenient, as is Pizza Hut. The pool is too cold to use, at least for me, but we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay! Clean, comfortable room at a great price. Good breakfast choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Felt welcome at this hotel!

We stayed one night at the Mainstay Suites and had a great stay. Check in was easy and the rooms were large. It was also quiet, the beds were comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Sickies Garage is right across from the hotel and is an easy few minutes walk. We had dinner there and enjoyed it. The hotel breakfast does not have any hot items but cold items included cereal, yogurt, bagels and danishes. A huge plus with this hotel is that it also offers an airport shuttle. The shuttle was on time and a convenient way to get to the airport. When you check in, inquire about the availability so you can get scheduled. The shuttle is shared with the Cambria hotel next door and seating can be limited. We've stayed at many airport hotels throughout our travels, some good and some bad, but we would definitely stay here again.

Our first time staying in this property, it took us while deciding. We finally booked a day prior to arrival. We are not sure about this hotel but I must say, so much better than expected, clean room, quiet area very close to airport. The price is right, with continental breakfast. Larger room with kitchen, clean and comfortable. If you are traveling on budget look no further this is the place.

We love the set up of the rooms with the kitchen and living room area, without having to pay suite prices. The staff is always nice and friendly too. Cons - hard for more than one person to get ready at the same time because the bathroom vanity is in the shower/toilet space rather than outside it. There is a mirror outside it though so I am able to put make up on while my husband showers. They also could have a better selection for breakfast. But that is also why we like the kitchen in the room. It helps save on food costs when traveling, and we can fix our coffee the way we like it! Note coffee maker only takes single pods if bringing extras from home.

The jacuzzi was closed until further notice. That kinda bummed us out a little. Other then that it was amazing. Good prices. Everything in walking distance. Good vending machine options too. We had to leave before breakfast was to be available, but fortunately, there was at least some bagels and peanut butter or cream cheese and coffee available so we were able to quick grab a bite before hitting I90 again. The staff were friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the bed was made nicely and was very comfortable! The room had all we needed. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this Days Inn was and is! It was also very convenient, right next to I90. I’d definitely stay there again. I read that it is under new management so I’d like to say kudos to them and their staff. They are doing a fabulous job!

Staff was very Kind and professional. Facilities were very clean. Room was very clean. Our room was not clean by the time we checked in at 4pm, BUT I was very kind and understanding because that day there had been 50 rooms and low staff. I use to be a Head housekeeper many years ago. I understood exactly what the staff was going through. I told the front desk that I completely understood and would return later to give them plenty of time to clean. Two hours later I returned and the room was clean and in tip top shape. Under pressure and having to take on extra work, the staff preformed amazingly.

My partner and I had a wonderful 3-day getaway at Days Inn, where we relaxed and rejuvenated. The hotel's excellent location and friendly staff made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a perfect bed and great bathroom facilities. We appreciated the visibility of our parked vehicle from the window, ensuring our safety. The food options were diverse and delicious. Although the hot tubs were unavailable, clear signboards notified us in advance. We look forward to visiting again. Great Hotel for the night. Travelling across USA and it fit the bill perfect for 1 night stay. There is a gas station with alcohol sales and snacks 1 minute walk away. Also has many restaurants and fast food within walking distance. Its right off the I-90 highway, which was very convenient. Had a decent continental breakfast of cereal, fruit and waffles. Dog friendly, which is what I needed! Overall, great for the price!

Property was clean and quiet. Rooms were comfy and a good size. Clean, comfy and budget friendly. Location was also good, close to all major shopping and easy access to all that the black hills have to offer.

We had high hopes for our stay at the Sonesta in Rapid City, South Dakota, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall. The only truly positive interaction was with the gentleman who checked us in—he was kind, respectful, and professional. Sadly, the rest of the staff we encountered were rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely disorganized. The website advertised both a swimming pool and a restaurant on site—neither of which existed. This felt like blatant false advertising and was a big letdown. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was out for the majority of our stay. Our room was nearly 90 degrees, and while they did provide us with a fan, they told us the AC would be fixed that night. It never was. When we politely followed up the next day, we were met with attitude and borderline hostility, as if we were wrong for even asking. On a more positive note, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was decent—but that alone didn’t make up for the many frustrations we experienced. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant changes are made in both staff training and the accuracy of the amenities listed online.

Overnight stay after a hike in the black hills. Room was perfect and comfortable. Breakfast was not so good; coffee was nasty, the sausages were not fully cooked, but of course there’s always cold cereal to save the day!

Clean. Comfortable bed. Easy access to expressway. Not a walkable area but plenty of shopping and restaurants within a few minutes drive

This was a great stay, we had a cool balcony and watched a thunderstorm over the hills. Breakfast great a large comfortable breakfast room with plenty of seating. The room was neat and clean, a good value. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially when we lost all the cable channels, he came right away and fixed it. I would recommend this as a good friendly place to stay.

After reading other reviews I was ready to cancel; however, we decided to just stay because we were only going to be sleeping and showering. When checking in, the owner was pleasant. When we got to our room, I was surprised. The room did not smell, it was clean and the door shut completely. The rooms are older but have had some updates. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The AC worked great as well. We did not check out the complimentary breakfast or the pool so I can’t say anything about that but we had a nice quiet stay and would stay there again. The hotel is within walking distance to a few restaurants and convenience stores so that was nice.

The staff were amazing. Very helpful and understanding. We stayed in Rapid for an unfortunate situation with family. The hotel is more of a motel with outside entryway doors. The beds and room were clean. Not super comfortable but the cleanliness made up for it. Bathrooms were small but clean. Breakfast was also great.

We had the perfect stay there. nice breakfast and super friendly staff. No complain!! Would stay again!! Thank you for everything.. walkable to restaurants and grocery store. Everyday they picked up the used towels and got the new towels.

I loved the check-in experience and the manager Ryan was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. We had a chat and he went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. Best location and walking distance to supermarket and restaurants. Cozy in house bar and clean place. Highly recommend this place.

Property is older, but well maintained. All of the regular amenities are provided. The breakfast is a wonderful add-on. Very thoughtful nice tea like toaster microwave and 24 hour coffee and hot water in the lobby. The staff is extremely welcoming and pleasant! Very safe and quiet

The room was clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable. The location was excellent for my needs. Restaurants and stores were close by and within walking distance. The breakfast had a good selection of items.
