Older hotel but kept up really well. Rose, who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She made sure we would know how to turn the shower on and she acknowledged us as Best Western reward members. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were in a corner double room on the third floor (302) so nice and quiet. Bathroom area was spacious with plenty of amenities.Refrigerator in room had a freezer section. Excellent breakfast of omelets, sausage, a yogurt machine, fresh made oatmeal with toppings and good coffee with a fancy cream machine. Orange juice was very good too. My husband said it was the best breakfast he had on our two week trip. This was a good choice of a hotel while in the area.

We had a very nice room, comfortable, clean, very large with an attached living room area. The breakfast left something to be desired. The waffle maker didn't cook the waffles enough so they were raw inside. The eggs in at the buffet were fried - scrambled are more suited to a buffet. Rose was very helpful and suggested K-Bobs for dinner. It was packed with a long wait but we could eat at the bar with NO wait. I did not realize this was a resort town and it was just an overnight for us. It appears there is a lot to see and do here.

This BW is located slightly on the outer edge of town, high up on a hill with a nearby castle like structure which was nice. Staff is supremely good and friendly, the inside feels very spacious and decorated, very nice. Room was very clean, spacious, a great bathtub to soak in, AC unit was good. Felt very quiet here, I got great sleep. Breakfast was the usual breads, sausage, eggs, etc, but I noticed many days of the week they have more homemade style Mexican offerings which sounds great. A great BW stay, would gladly return.

Very clean, well maintained. Good hot breakfast with eggs, potatoes and sausage. Very friendly and helpful staff. It is located on side of tree covered hill with great view of area. Close to dining area. Would definitely stay here again. Excdllent.

This hotel is centrally located in Ruidoso. It’s close enough to any type of entertainment in town. This Best Western Plus is located higher up than other hotels around it so the views of the mountains are spectacular. It also has a small playground and gazebo perfect for family events. Rooms were clean and employees were kind and helpful.

The pool and jacuzzi tub was amazing. Had to have the button fixed on jacuzzi. Happy hour was awesome! Gorgeous view and the building was beautiful. Great patio area. Golf course. Lots of socializing

Everything was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the bar and the in suite jacuzzi. It was convient to be able to do laundry in the hotel laundry room. My son loved the pool. There was a great full breakfast in the hotel dining. Great place to stay. Will recommend.

Everything about this was positive! King suite was on point with a full kitchen, electric burner stove, dishwasher, full size fridge, fireplace, balcony, Jacuzzi tub, best ever FREE BREAKFAST!

Our stay here was superb from check-in to check-out! My cousins and I were in town for a family event. The room was delightful - jacuzzi tub and fireplace! The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've ever slept on in a hotel. The free breakfast buffet included delicious made-to-order omlets! Each staff member I saw was very friendly. This will be my go-to hotel any time I am in Ruidoso.

Lovely, renovated inn located in a gorgeous mountain town. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was spotless & very cute with extra touches that were appreciated. The bed was very comfortable & had two pillows per guest. The modern bath had a tiled walk in shower with plenty of hot water & comfy towels. The room was quiet. There is a lovely terrace with seating which was perfect for picnicking. The hotel had excellent caramel macadamia nut coffee & warm home made muffins. We were blown away by the great value this inn provided. We look forward to coming back!!

I have stayed here many times over the past several years. I'm always greeted by friendly and helpful folks at the front desk. The motel has a lot of mountain-inspired character and charm inside and out. A carved Bigfoot with racoon sidekick is the feature attraction. The room is comfortable and easily warmed with the wall heater. A neighbor's dog was barking for hours, but it did not disturb my sleep. Although the area is generally quiet, a sound machine is included at bedside. A guest binder has tips for the TV remote and a list of nearby places to eat and shop. There is a selection of fresh, warm muffins and hazelnut coffee for breakfast, usually available just after 7 a.m. Guests often have breakfast on the terrace, where one can sit amongst the fragrant evergreens. I always have a delightful and relaxing experience staying at the Sitzmark, and I'll likely return soon whenever traveling the road between Dallas and LA.

Amazing stay!! This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, walls are decently soundproof, everything is clean & functional, the wifi was great and allowed me to work remotely without needing my own hotspot. The staff is very friendly. The location is quiet despite being on the main street through town. The extra touches are great - a very nice sitting area, a lending library, coffee bar and a cool sauna. There's probably more I can't think of right now, but, suffice it to say, you will not regret staying here. :)

I have stayed here several times, sometimes with a friend and alone on this trip. The motel has a very friendly staff, a wonderful outdoor dining terrace and a stunning backdrop of tall, slender evergreen trees. A wall heater warms the room, and the beds are comfortable. The room on each visit has been very quiet but even so, a sleep sound machine is provided. The decor is timber wood chic, and the ski theme is present throughout with benches made of snow skis. The breakfast is limited but satisfying with warm muffins, coffee, tea and oatmeal. It is a relatively short walk - about 12 minutes - to the "main drag" where many unique shops, cafes and restaurants are located. Parking was easy, and the motel is readily spotted by the totem-like wood carving in the middle of the lot. There is also a sauna for guests on the outdoor terrace, which I have yet to experience. The price I paid may represent an "off-season" rate, but the budget-friendly price combined with the high quality of the motel are in my opinion, well worth the scenic detour from Las Cruces.

First of all, I would just like to add my voice to all the nice comments. This is a wonderfully cozy, comfortable and friendly inn. The team really takes customer service to a higher level; they cannot do enough for you. A well kept, comfortable room made our stay in this beautiful area a real holiday. Decor is thoughtful, with pine log beds, South Western bed spreads and all spotlessly clean. Air conditioning kept the room cool and comfortable. The bbq (natural gas) were a real plus; we cooked on them every night. Muffins available every morning, along with coffee and hot chocolate. A very convenient location as well. Standards of cleanliness and housekeeping were tip top. On top of all these plus points was the great value for money. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you.

This property is beautiful! The host are such wonderful people. We stayed in the lodge and it is Close to town, my teenagers walked to the store. It is 2 minutes to downtown driving,very convenient. Dog friendly, comfy beds and very roomy quarters. Shower and bath are hot and very clean. Kitchen fully equipped to cook meals. Wi-Fi was a little slow during the day but picked up in the evening so I could get some work done on my quick vacation. I will definitely be going back and recommend to everyone to go stay. Next time I will stay in one of there cabins to try that out.

The rooms are immaculate with very comfortable furnishings, including nice King size bed, reclining leather loveseat, kitchenette with table. Outside area exceeded expectations with very comfortable outdoor seating assigned to each room. Beautiful gardens that attract beautiful birds, deer. Nice outdoor firepit and grill areas. Clean onsite laundry. Hosts are super friendly and kind.

We loved everything about this property. Quiet, wildlife, clean, large room, covered veranda, laundry facilities, close to shops and restaurants. We walked to dinner the first evening. We liked the linen station on the veranda where we could grab fresh towels daily.

We stayed here for long weekend getaway, the room was very clean and comfortable, perfect for a quiet relaxing trip, we will definitely be staying here again. Beautiful location with elk and deer grazing nearby overall great stay.

Great location in town. Saw some wildlife nearby that we were in awe of ! The pool & jacuzzi were a hit with the family. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again next time we come to ruidoso

The staff was very professional and polite. Our room was perfect for our little family of 5. The pool was so clean and that hot jacuzzi was definitely very relaxing, let's not leave breakfast behind! Everything was so delicious and I loved how the staff kept it extremely clean and we're very polite asking guests often if anything else was needed. They kept making sure the lobby itself was staying clean during those times.

We are family, stay in Suit room. Really big and spacious. Good location hotel, 6min from Downtown. Looks modern, nice, clean, good service. I will stay again, been in others hotels in Ruidoso and this is the best. Pool and jacuzzi area super 👌 it's winter in November and the place is warm and cozy to be with your family. Breakfast is like every hotel, can be better, need more variety ELEVATE. Fruits and more nutrient selection can be 👌

We stayed in room Lucky 13. It has a wood burning fireplace in the room. The room itself is very nice and very large. The bathroom is just adequate. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hottub was nice. Location is convenient. We had deer come right up to the room.

Nice place for a room or condo close to town. Just one block from the river. Two blocks from downtown. Indoor pool and jacuzzi. Elk and deer come right on the property and very ice people who run the place. They are attentive. .

Tony and Vicki are wonderful. They are absolutely willing to assist you with any needs. We have stayed at this location 7 times. Each time we are never disappointed. We go during the month of July to cool off from our Texas heat. The location is great. Golf course 1 block away. Plenty of deer and elk sightings, sometimes as you open your front door. The rooms are great for the price. We get the room with a small kitchenette. We like going to the jacuzzi at night and look up at the stars. Then we sit outside the room on the bench and enjoy the cool air.

We have stayed here for over 10yrs. We love the location and scenery. Tony and Vicki go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Due to the Covid 19 the pool and jacuzzi could not be accessed. But in years past we loved going to the jacuzzi at night and look up at all of the stars. We love the accommodations they are quant for us. We love sitting outside at night on the bench out front of our door. They offer a small kitchen with all the utensils you need. If you are expecting the Ritz this is not the place for you, but if you like quant and tranquility this is the place for you.

We stopped here for one night prior to heading to camp for a bike race. We chose it based on being able to walk to dinner in Midtown and they allow dogs. When we got there Vicki (the owner) was so sweet and helpful, she gave us a choice of two rooms and provided some suggestions on where to eat that was in walking distance. It is obvious the rooms are older but have been updated and maintained. The beds have extremely comfortable memory foam and our room (15A) had a small kitchenette plus I loved that it was tile. Traveling with pets and having bad allergies the lack of carpet is good for me. Everything was clean and had all the basics we needed for the price. I will say the accordion door for the bathroom was the only thing I was not keen on. In the late afternoon we saw elk roaming behind our cabin. The morning we were to check out we wanted to walk to breakfast, we asked if it would be okay if we were a bit longer than check out and Vicki said absolutely so we enjoyed extra coffee and a long breakfast. I enjoyed meeting their sweet Rottweilers too. :) When we went to leave we discovered our truck battery was dead! The owner gave us a jump start and was as friendly as his wife. If we need a lodge in Ruidoso again we will be back.

Great location! Walkable to shops & restaurants within minutes. Clean well maintained grounds with plenty of parking. Fire pit and outdoor grills were surrounded by grass, plenty of seating and well lit. Quiet safe comfortable area. Our condo was “home away from home” Clean comfortably furnished including washer & dryer in our unit. The bed was super comfortable and the leather reclining sofa was to die for! We will stay here again, definitely recommend

This condo was amazing! We had a wonderful stay at Ruidoso River Resort. We could not believe we got such a beautiful condo at such a nice price. It's fully furnished with dishes and everything even a washer and dryer so it was so much more comfortable than staying at a hotel. We loved waking up to the sound of the river each morning, and the bed was so comfortable. Our condo was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities of home. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and margaritas in the evening on our deck. It's within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Eat at the Hunt and Harvest if you stay here, it's great food and drinks and just a couple minutes walk. We will definitely stay here again. The booking was easy and great customer service. Staying here made our Ruidoso vacation that much more enjoyable.

11/16-18/2023 Easy check-in and check-out, fireplace, comfortable bed, privacy, loved the decor. Was very pleasantly surprised to wake and see a herd of elk wandering up the small river just under our balcony. Interesting shops nearby, particularly Tanner Tradition Native American Art shop: quality, authenticity, wide variety of media, wide range of tribal representation, including local Mescalero Apache artists. Resort grounds fastidiously maintained, clean and quiet. There was a local bar that had some rather loud live music on Friday night, but they stopped playing by 8pm and the rest of evening was quiet and serene. We’ll be coming back!

Great location, walkable to shopping/restaurant area but quiet & private. Had gas fireplace & patio overlooking river (creek). Bed was very comfortable & unit spacious for two guests.

Went as 2 couples and it was beyond perfect!! Two bedroom fully furnished condo made us feel at home. Great location right off the main street and our condo was located on the river side, which not only provided great scenery but also allowed us to hear the live music coming from the street. Not only was the condo perfect, the staff is apparently amazing also!! We didnt deal with any person while we were there because check in/out is so easy, but I had left behind some sentimental jewelry and they responded by email so quick and were so helpful in getting my property back to me!! I am so happy with this place, I cant wait to go back! I will definitely book this again.

what i like from this property is that is very closed to the shopping centers. also has a big pool and a jacuzzi.

The pros are staff especially Ms. Claudia she he very nice and inviting but also front desk. Easy check in and safe and very very close to everything. Great Location. The cons are the cleaning. There was a dog bone under my bed and dog hair all over. The jacuzzi was full of sand and the tables were not cleaned. Also there was a door partition in my room and I could hear everything. I got a huge discount so it was good but if I had to pay full price I would try something else.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were fantastic they have a sweet shop with snacks and vending machines up stairs the its located right next to town so you can work and start walking! The pool was very clean and lots of fun it doesn't go to deep so the kids were able to have lots of fun! The breakfast had lots of options and was super yummy they even had juice selections which was amazing in my opinion!

Views, views, views! Amazing views overlooking Ruidoso! This appears to be a converted condo apartment complex to overnight stay and is large! Lots of room, full size ready to use kitchen with full size stove, fridge, microwave and regular size coffee pot. Comes with dishware, flatware, glassware including coffee mugs as well as pots/pans. Everything you need for one night stay or longer. Our only area that one star was removed was the bathroom and bath sinks were very aged. The bed was extremely comfortable, living room couch very comfortable as well as sitting on the very large porch area. Is pet friendly also, huge plus! There is a very nice bbq grill area and various small grills around the area. We were in building 3 that overlooks Ruidoso, and it was beautiful. Staff is very friendly and appears to be pretty new to taking over the complex in last couple of years. So would seem a lot of the complaints were prior to Cody taking over as manager. Be prepared for a long drive up the curvy road to the top of the mountain, shop in town prior to arriving so you have groceries and won't have to make an extra trip into town, especially if it is raining. We arrived when they had a flash flood warning and saw the raging waters going beside the roadway in town. Ruidoso is a great half-way spot in between where we travel every 6 months and we will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing views from the balcony of the condo we stayed in. The property manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The condo was very spacious. The beds were all very comfortable.

My new wife and I loved everything about our stay here,the view,the location, and easily accessible stores and food places. It was clean and comfy, felt homey the whole time we stayed. We definitely will be back just for an anniversary or anytime we get to have a little get away,this is an amazing place to go to have a cabin feeling retreat. We even got to feed the local deer,who know when check-in time for feeding time is,they are friendly and love people even though they are indeed wild. One our most favorite things is they unknowingly upgraded us to the honeymoon suite before they knew that we went there as a honeymoon because we just got married that morning. We couldn't have asked for more except a washer and dryer inside our room [which they are already in the works of getting]. However, that didn't negatively impact us at all.

Sami the property owner is super nice and very friendly. it had snowed and we managed to get stuck. he made sure to get us pulled out to safety and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The furniture in the unit is old school but super comfy and very clean. For an older property I didn’t not expect it to be so clean and I did not expect it to stay very warm but I was quite shocked on both ends it’s super tidy and we stayed plenty warm. The view here is amazing wish we could stay longer.

Love this place! The view from the balcony was spectacular, and the balcony itself was spacious. The condo was clean and the wifi worked fine. This is an older wooden mountain condo structure but we are easy travelers and fine with older properties. The guys in the office were pleasant and available by text. The master bed was a dream.

The breakfast was excellent. There was a couple who oversaw the breakfast and they did an excellent job. The place was clean, well stocked and the food was well prepared and fresh. They were both very caring and friendly. The hotel grounds were well cared for and beautiful. The location felt secluded and secure, especially with the flooding that was going on. The room was spacious and had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. All the staff were polite, professional, and friendly.

Outstanding place to stay. Quiet and beautiful setting part way up a mountain and well off of the highway. Beautiful courtyard area with tall pine trees and grass. Hotel is well maintained, clean, and with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast area is kept clean and fully stocked- maybe the best we have seen. Stayed here for 5 days and will definitely be back.

We booked a standard room with a king sized bed. The room was very spacious, clean, and had ammenities as stated. Our room was located on the 1st floor by the pool, during a sold out weekend. It was peaceful and not loud at all. The grounds were maintained and gorgeous. The pool was not heated (listed as heated) and the water was extremely cold. The hot tub was nice. Both were pretty clean, being they are located outdoors. The complimentary breakfast was great and offered a little something for everyone. Hotel staff was kind, courteous, and professional. We were interrupted by housekeeping twice. Our room was listed as checked out on Sunday, but we were booked to stay until Monday morning. For us, it really wasn't a big deal but it was a bit scary when they opened our door.

This hotel is beautiful and very clean. The pool and hot clean and refreshing. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast was really good and had more options than most places and the food server kept it so clean and stocked. Maricela was so nice and made us feel so at home what a nice lady. I had a horrible experience the night prior at a different hotel in the area and had to move. It was truly night and day. The staff was friendly and professional. So welcoming. The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. It was so homey and welcoming. I will never stay anywhere else when I visit the area.

This hotel has some wear and tear on it, but overall it was clean and accommodating. The rooms were good and beds comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for a good shower. The breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast, which was good enough and the coffee was good and hot. So, overall, although some minor cosmetic work needs to be done, I would stay there again in the future. Pets are allowed.

My boyfriend, Shih Tzu and I stayed here for the weekend and we loved it! Very friendly staff, great hot breakfast, items available for purchase in the lobby was a nice touch, and the best part was they are animal friendly! The hotel was very clean and the rooms were clean as well. No stains or smells from the animals. Great stay, will come again.

Right in the middle of town off main road, yet it was very quiet. I arrived late around 11:00pm and the front desk gentleman was very kind. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and plus to have breakfast for free too. So nice to NOT hear housekeeping knocking on doors in the morning, or rushing you. I was even 10 minutes after check out and they just smiled. Recommend this place. Rooms are more like a Studio.

Newly renovated. Unfortunately renovation doesn't change the layout of the room but they've definitely done the best they could with what they had. Breakfast options could be better. I saw zero protein options, only carbs. Check in was a breeze and the guy was very nice. Bed was VERY comfortable and so were the pillows. Shower wasn't super updated but it served its purpose just fine.

This was a great weekend getaway location. The room was clean and quiet. The jacuzzi tub was a nice bonus after a long day of hiking. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was sufficient for our needs.

The place is so accessible and surrounded by beautiful trees, and a river, we watched deers going down to eat in the morning. The room was very nice. The jacuzzi was awesome!!! I liked that we had dishes and a small fridge.

Coziness, location, cleanliness, and jacuzzi.

The location is excellent. The host was very nice. The tv, bed, jacuzzi, shower were all excellent and clean. The room was cozy and there were extra blankets and recliner chairs. The only thing that wasn't clean were the windows/mirrors. Downtown isn't very far and there are a couple little restaurants within about 10 minute walk. The only complaint I really have is that there is a lot of traffic on the main road and it can get a little loud.

The staff were helpful and friendly. I rented the 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious. There was 2 queen beds in one room and a king bed in the master bedroom. There was a pull out couch and an extra twin bed that was stored in the closet if needed. The kitchen was large and fully loaded with pots and pans. The apartment was a little outdated but very cozy. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay here again.

The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed for cooking, the bed was comfortable, and the the room itself was clean. The office manager was amazing, funny, and super helpful

Super friendly staff who upgraded us to a wonderful 2-bed, 2-bath with a large living room, full kitchen, even a washer and drier, and also with a bonus fenced back yard that my 3-year-old granddaughter absolutely loved. The accommodations were beautiful and quite comfortable. We will definitely book with the Village Lodge for any future trips to Ruidoso!

Beautiful exterior apartment complex. Inside 208- the sofa was old and worn n the bathroom fixtures were not clean. The tub needs to be re-grouted. Kitchen was small n clean and the beds were comfy. For the price, I would stay again.

Great location read reviews about it not being clean but it was pretty clean both rooms we got everything was wonderful even the staff very friendly will definitely be staying there again
