Jacuzzi bath was amazing, room was very clean and pretty quiet at night (we were on the ground floor) staff are very welcoming and friendly! The catering staff were amazing as well. Only a 5 minute walk from the beach and the pier too which was the reason for booking.

Staff were so helpful, friendly & attentive, hotel was spotless, jacuzzi bath was perfect & above all breakfast in bed was great, with no extra charge. We loved the later check out time too “It’s sometimes the small things” would we book up again “hell yes”! See you soon :)

Bed was so comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge with a lovely double shower and jacuzzi bath. The breakfast was great with lots of variety and staff were so friendly. Love the bouji decor too.

The jacuzzi bath and the bed was so comfy, slept like a baby Breakfast in the morning was brilliant, cooked fresh while you wait ( wait is not to long) and there is continental bar while you wait for full breakfast. It was our anniversary and the staff went all out for us. Will be back

The holiday home was amazing, so cosy! Our dog was with us and the jacuzzi was just heavenly.

The lodge was just what you would want for a family holiday. The kitchen area had all the facilities you could possibly need. The two bathrooms were a bonus . Loved the jacuzzi . We saw a red squirrel whilst eating breakfast my first sighting in 68 years🐿️

the cabin and everything in it seemed new, the beds were comfortable, it was spotlessly clean. The hot tub on the terrace was very nice in February and the terrace faced only greenery, not another row of lodges (though many of the non-hot tub cabins were surrounded by other cabins, but that’s just how these resorts are). The staff were helpful - our cabin was missing coffee maker, reading light, and remote to operate the electric fireplace- staff fixed all this very quickly and with a smile. The site was quiet yet there was a nice pub just 5 minutes walk away. St Helen’s Bay was picturesque.

The accommodation was maintained to a high standard. The entire building was very warm. It had a washing machine and a dishwasher in the kitchen. The area was very peaceful and family friendly. The shower was spacious. The welcome box in the kitchen with cleaning things to get you started with cleaning up was a treat. The cooking utensil were suitable for the purpose. The appliances in the kitchen were quality and easy to use. The parking was good enough, space for 1 car directly out front. Security on site and on call. I appreciated the onsite commitment to recycling. The views were great by the lake. The chalets are perfect. The static caravans are set at the top of the hill so there may be more views if that is your thing. Venue has a Costcutter outside across the road which is well stocked. It is not far from Newport which has all the shops. Your retail and leisure therapy needs can be met within 20 minutes drive away. Buses run regularly to other places of interest.

The lakeside house was in a perfect location. It was modern and clean. The food in the restaurant was amazing in quality and price. We found that all staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept spotless. The indoor pool was a bonus and we had it all to ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and we will be back. Thank you

Excellent central location for exploring the whole Island . Very clean and good facilities with good restaurant and pool .. Accommodation was clean , spacious and generally comfortable , although the bed was memory foam and difficult to sleep in .. Staff were very friendly and Welcoming .. Especially liked the welcome pack for our dog , it was very thoughtful ..

Large, spacious 4 berth superior caravan, cleaned beautifully for arrival. Tea towel and washing up kit/bin bags left for us. Beds were extremely comfortable and bed linen crisp and clean. Ample kitchen space with necessary items in cupboards: saucepans, frying pan, cheese grater, casserole dishes, plates, glasses and cups. Plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils in drawer. Good tv and the heating was really effective (we put it on during cold spell mid-July). Shower worked fine and had loads of hot water. Everything very clean in bathrooms. I'm allergic to animals and had a normal caravan and had no issues with allergies. Definitely no animal hair anywhere. Parking outside caravan. Park was very quiet and clean and no rats in the mobile home! Staff very courteous. Altogether a brilliant stay and we will definitely go back and would recommend this site to anyone. It was VERY good value for money. No entertainment on when we were there but this is clearly stated on the holiday park website as it starts later in the year. Take your own towels and travel iron as these aren't supplied (again this is stated on the website). The location is lovely, quiet rural area within easy reach of most places. Well stocked Coop just outside entrance of park and bus stop there with buses regularly going along coast to Ryde, stopping off in coastal major towns. Or you can get to Newport and get other tour buses from there.

After reading some of the other reviews we were initially concerned, however our accommodation was clean, the bed linen was fresh, clean and the beds all made up. The kitchen area, cups, cutlery, fridge, chairs, dining table were all clean. The living area was also clean, we walked around in socks and they remained clean. Both bathrooms had been cleaned as well. No uncomfortable smells either. The outside area was clean, off course some leaves etc from the morning winds, chairs were fine. We had a dedicated parking space next to our location. We didn't use any of the onsite facilities as we only used the accommodation as a base and the local pubs provided excellent food.

We visited in February and it was so quiet which was perfect for us. The indoor pool was open which we enjoyed and the location was incredible. We went for walks on the beach behind the park and we were the only people there! Views were incredible. Caravan was comfy, clean and perfect for what we needed, and staff were so friendly. There was also a bus stop right outside and this was great as we could still travel without a car. We had an absolutely amazing stay.

The shower and hot water was perfect. The radiator was a bit small, but adequate for the time of year (last week in September and first couple of days of October.) The bed was clean and very comfortable. As we had requested a shower only, rather than a bath, we were given a 3 bedroom chalet which, in retrospect, was wasted space for us as a couple and meant a smaller living space. We will ask for a smaller chalet with greater living space next time, so long as it still has a shower over the bath. Parking next to the chalet was excellent though. We also liked the cooking facilities with everything provided. Excellent storage space through-out. Sorry we didn't have time to visit the beach there.

Our caravan was clean and comfortable and close to all the site facilities. The sandy beach was great for our dog and the food/drink available at the dog friendly bar/restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced.

Great location with lovely view of the Culver Down. Very close to the beach. Staff were friendly & the hot tub was maintained daily. Despite some terrible weather we were quite cosy in the chalet.

Excellent decor in the Rockstar lodge with superb amenities. Very clean and comfy beds- great space throughout and amazing welcome package filled with lots of goodies Hot tub was well maintained and a great addition Kitchen was fully stocked. Towels and hair dryer provided

The apartment was spacious and clean and had everything you needed .the little hamper was such a nice touch.also .the hottub was an added bonus .

The apartment far outweighed our expectations. The location was perfect, a short distance from the beach and old shanklin . The apartment was spacious, spotless, very well equipped, and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable. There was a tray of welcome goodies and milk in the fridge. We were even invited to use the sister hotel's facilities, including the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Couldn't have asked for more.

Spotless,finished to a very high spec ,very comfortable, so convenient to beach, shops ,restaurants in lovely Shanklin but very quiet and relaxing ,panoramic views !! Hot tub fabulous and well maintained Couldn’t fault anything,!

We stayed in Cadogan, a one bedroom apartment. The location was fantastic, right on top of the beach. With a seaview from the living room of the apartment. A short walk to Shanklin Chine, old town, or beach. Our own parking space was a must, that gave me peace of mind whilst away. We had everything we needed in the apartment. Dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, milk, washing pods, hand soap, showergel, shampoo, biscuits, tea, sugar, coffee machine with pods. An iron and board, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, TV, radio, fridge, coffee machine, gas hob, oven, kettle, and toaster. It was clean, roomy, and we had WiFi. The bathroom had a shower but not a bath. There were games, monopoly Scrabble etc for a rainy day. The TV was setup for BBC iPlayer and Disney, and possibly more apps we didn't try, making it great for the entire family. The access to the local hotels facilities and Chine were unexpected, and very well received. We managed to use the toddler play area, outdoor park, and toddler pool. They really have thought of everything. Would stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Worsley apartment! It was bright, clean and so comfortable - perfect for our family. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making it feel welcoming and it was well equipped with everything we could possibly need as a family, from kitchen essentials to extra touches that made it feel like home. The beds were super comfy, the space was spotless and the location was great for everything we wanted to do. The team were wonderful too - super responsive and genuinely kind people who made sure we had everything we needed and always happy to help with anything. It honestly all made our trip so easy and relaxing. We’re already looking at dates to come back and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Friendly staff who were always cheerful and helpful. Great breakfast. Beautiful evening meals, Well stocked bar. Retro 80’s room with free Arcade machines. Shanklin is a beautiful old English village with a walk through the historic Shanklin Chine to the promenade.

Great hotel right on the coast. Lovely big room with a fabulous balcony overlooking the sea, pool and gardens. It also had a table and chairs so I enjoyed a cup of tea looking at the hotel view. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was great and they have a small indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna along with a games room. The outdoor pool looks fab but was understandably closed during the winter. Very clean everywhere. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Luccombe Hall Hotel for over 2 years, the gardens are stunning ,and our room we like to have is with garden and outside hottub ,a place to relax and unwind. The indoor pool is beautiful, and breakfast one to die for . The peaceful surrounding with little shops is great .And plenty of places to see , have lunch and cool beer. Staff are great very helpful and very friendly ,we love it there.

Our stay was fantastic, the room bright and spacious. Especially the bathroom was superb, my 9 year old daughter loved the jacuzzi bath tub. The garden and pool area was beautiful and clean. Very calm and relaxing. All the pools are heated and with a nice temperature. Dinner was superb. Easy and quick access to the beach and town centre, right next to the Shanklin Chine and A couple of cute local pubs. Steve and Claire are excellent hosts. Our car broke down during our stay. Steve was very helpful and resourceful, helped to start the car in a split second, which was a massive stress relief! Thank you very much for your help! We absolutely loved our stay at Luccombe Hall and will definitely be back!

the service was outstanding. we had a lovely room with Jacuzzi. enjoyed a nice meal at the pub restaurant round the corner. was nice to have gluten free toast, soya milk and dairy free spread at breakfast

We spent a couple of nights here and really cannot fault either the accommodation, location or the amazing breakfasts. The hotel has managed to retain its period feel whilst having all the mod cons you need for a perfect stay (big tip - room 5 has an amazing double jacuzzi bath with a built in tv in the wall). Within 3 mins walking distance of the sea and 40 mins walk of the historic dockyards in Portsmouth. Will certainly be coming back.

I had to find accommodation at the last minute as our original booking elsewhere was cancelled on us two days before travel! I had the pleasure of dealing with Ellie from the first phone call, and she was amazing! She was so professional and beyond helpful as she assisted with organising a taxi for us (again, the original one was cancelled as a different area). She also explained the area, gave us a map, and showed us where we were. I have a lactose intolerance, and she specifically bought lactose free milk (can't do soya in tea!!) The room itself was beautiful, so spacious, and a really comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean! There was a fan in the room, which was perfect for cooling down the room. The Garden Room Restaurant that is part of the hotel was fantastic, with great food, staff, and atmosphere. Great menu that caters for all and a good choice for breakfast and evening meal, if you don't want to venture out too far. All in all, would 100% stay again.

This weekend was our 1st foray into 'New Normal' hotel accommodation. My partner and I were in room 5, the Superior Suite. The room was amazing! Giant spa bath which was bigger than most hot tubs, with integrated shower, mood lighting, a television above the bath, very modern sink and toilet, and all spotless! The bed was a huge sleigh bed which was amazingly comfortable with beautiful furnishings. Social distancing was practiced with a well thought out breakfast routine, and the breakfast menu was amazingly decadent, offering a huge variety of options, all served by the loveliest lady. Best poached eggs ever!!!!! Special thanks to Daniel who looked after all queries efficiently, and was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely visiting again!!!

I stay at the Clarence now regulatory for business. Tucked away in a little side street right near the seafront in Southsea, it's a gem. The rooms have been exceptionally decorated, and the bathrooms particularly are superb (stay in room 5 which has the spa bath for a treat!). Large screen TVs, comfortable beds, good wifi hookup, all make the stay comfortable. Breakfast is also excellent. The service is friendly, and helpful. Hotel is a short walk (10mins) from the restaurants in Palmerston Road. Fun a Wharf is a bus ride away. Sea front is great for waking/running or just taking in the sea air. Would recommend this hotel highly

Perfectly located for lift to Lower Shanklin and a short walk from the old village. Sea views from all angles, helpful friendly staff and lovely food. Fantastic bedroom, comfortable beds, Jacuzzi bath and terrace with sea view. PERFECT. We even had a pianist playing one morning over breakfast, a lovely medley of popular tunes.

Took my elderly father to stay here as it had a room with disabled access. Salma was hugely helpful over the phone discussing his needs and from the minute we got there took the initiative to look for ways to make his stay more comfortable. The hotel and staff far exceeded all expectations. The views and location were stunning, decor was just beautiful and the view out to sea each morning just lovely. Fantastic breakfast with lots of choice and beautiful piano music at the weekend. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent. Well worth prebooking for the first night as meal can't be ordered on the day of arrival. My dad loved his room and wet room. Our room was small but lots of storage space, lashings of hot water in the shower and had a lovely side view of the sea and was spotlessly clean. IIt was also very quiet. It is a Victorian hotel so no lift but stairs were no problem and neither was the car park. Reception area incredibly comfortable for relaxing in and garden great, there's a lift nearby down to the beach so ideal for disabled access direct to and from the seafront. Salma was an absolute joy to meet and I don't think you will find a warmer welcome combined with such a professionally run hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The hotel had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Location was perfect for beach and local amenities. The views from our balcony were breathtaking. We could also enjoy these amazing sea views whilst enjoying a well stocked, delicious breakfast buffet from the conservatory or garden. Highly recommended!

Hotel is perfectly located with beautiful views on the sea. Garden is ideal to have a cup of coffee with a scenic view onto the sea. If you have a choice, go for a sea view room. It is worth every penny and you will see perfect sunrise and you will have a fantastic views on the sea. Hotel offers a full english breakfast which is really filling and tasty. Host is really friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout the entire stay.

Great location and view. Convenient parking at hotel and on street. Friendly, helpful staff, particularly owner, Salma. Ground floor room 2 comfortable and well presented with own balcony/terrace. Communal areas inside and out very attractive and well thought out. Comfy and not bland at all. Even had garden room with billiard table and table football. Good choice of hot and cold breakfast buffet options. We were accompanied on Friday morning by a pianist playing a variety of tunes. Dinner available as well on request. Variety of guests staying. Relaxed atmosphere. Hotel can even sort out half price ferries.

Room was well presented, clean & comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious, huge shower & jacuzzi bath. The kitchen had everything we needed & more! Lovely garden. The staff were very friendly & helpful & kept everything spotless. Will be coming again & have told friends in Germany to stay there too.

Booking was easy and it was good value for money. The bedroom and shared bathroom were homely and clean. Brand new bathroom suite with jacuzzi bath. Communicatuons with the vendor was straightforward and the key safe entry into the house was easy to use too.

A shared property in a quiet residential street. The location was excellent for our purposes. The facilities were good. The fixtures and fittings are very good and the jacuzzi bath was a pleasant surprise. Good communication with the proprietors and easy access.

Hot tub feature was sick we had just come from a water park and was looking for something jacuzzi like. Even though the bathroom is shared we made sure to leave as we found the place. Other guests not so much lol. Thanks to the host you were really freindly and informative

Clean, well appointed, centrally located, good price, comfortable, nice bathroom (although the jacuzzi bath had a message explaining if you didn't fill it properly you could short something out so I didn't bother) and the shower was brillant although its controls were a bit mysterious, one excellent feature was the permits to give you free parking. I even got to wash my clothes. There was a fridge freezer and cooking facilities which was great.

The hosts are just so welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival they offered a drink and we sat outside having a chat and getting to know the area and hotel. We know the area really well. It was nice hearing their back story as well, added a personal touch. The room was lovely. Well decorated, spacious, with a nice bathroom. It had everything needed for the stay. The hotel itself has an honesty bar which is a nice touch and a lovely lounge with a beautiful leather L shaped sofa. It was so comfortable that we spent one nice on it chilling and doing some work. The bar prices are fair with a nice selection. Breakfast, just wow. I don't think I've personally ever had a better breakfast. Premium bacon and sausages with the most incredible scrambled egg. You'd be a fool not to try it. Unlike a lot of full English breakfasts, this one wasn't greasy or fatty. It was perfect. Location is perfect. A bus stop is about 2 minutes away, less than 5 to the train station, about 7 to the bus station, 5 to the cliff tops/beach, 7 to the town, and 10-15 to old Shanklin. I really can't complain about the location. As a couple that don't drive, it was perfect. Overall, it was the perfect stay. We'll definitely come back, even just for breakfast if they offered it!

Having not been to the Isle of Wight since primary school (over 30 years ago!), it was a bit of a lottery picking somewhere to stay. I can honestly say that The Avenue did not disappoint! Simon & Jonathan were incredibly welcoming and spent a lot of time with us when we first arrived sharing all their local knowledge of the island and gave us the lowdown on the best places to visit. Our room was on the first floor and was very comfortable, very quiet and very clean with plenty of storage space as well as in-room tea and coffee making facilities (mugs were changed every day). Breakfast was superb - a lovely selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and fruit juices and the choice on the hot menu was second to none. The location of the B&B was very handy - it is well within walking distance of Shanklin town and in the next street is a very good Chinese restaurant. Shanklin itself has all the shops and eateries you could need/want and very good transport links to the rest of the island. Lots of off road parking - we always managed to get a space at the front of the B&B, however there was no shortage of on street parking too. A great selection of very good priced drinks and snacks available in the bar in the evenings too. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday with exceptional hosts, thank you - see you next year guys!

The beach is only a short walk from "The Avenue" Shops, Bars and restaurants are situated locally too. "The Avenue" is run by a Father and his Son team. Both are very pleasant, good listeners and always available to assist you if any thing is needed. Price includes a breakfast. There is a buffet of breakfast for a starter if you like, followed by the main event a cooked English Breakfast. Which is to die for. The scrambled eggs are amazing and the sausages are full of flavour and very juicy. The quality and taste was consistent and beautiful every day. This was large and will keep you going all day if needed. There is a honesty bar where you help yourself and leave your room number with the items taken, consumed. There is also limited free parking on site.

We received a great welcome with tea and coffee. For breakfast there was a good choice of cereals, juices and yogurts. Lovely fruit salad was available every morning with wide variety of fruit.There was a choice of milks, bread and there was vegetarian options for the full English breakfast. Also a good choice of teas as well as great coffee. Service was good and you were asked how many rashers of bacon, sausages, tomatoes etc that you would like. The room was comfortable and had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The bed was very comfortable and cosy. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and also very knowledgeable about the area and what's on, good places to eat etc. There was also lots of venue leaflets available as well as maps and even bus timetables.

Honesty bar with good selection of alcohol and soft drinks. Great location to Shanklin. Rooms clean and good size. Tea and coffee making facilities etc. Ensuite excellent. Double size shower tray piping hot water. Mattress was very 'springy' and could probably do with being being replaced. However overall an excellent experience

Everything really.. Very clean, cosy room. Comfortable beds and nice hot shower. Safe parking for a minimal extra charge. Breakfast was good, with a lot of choices. Food was fresh and tasty and the breakfast room was clean and welcoming.

well cooked breakfast in a very tastefully decorated and spacious breakfast room. very comfortable and modern room. excellent location,close to the promenade and plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby to choose from, yet peaceful surroundings in a wide residential street full of grand houses. The host was friendly and attentive to all the guests.

We only stayed one night but loved it and would highly recommend. Clean and comfy room - hot (easy to use) shower + free WiFi. Breakfast was tasty and filling setting us up for a nice walk along the beach before heading home. We weren't rushed to check out Hosts were friendly and welcoming 😊

This is a great guest house in the classic British style. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, cosy and welcoming. Comfortable beds, super shower, and in a quiet location. The breakfast was also excellent (don't miss Andy's full English breakfast). The proprietors were very accommodating when we arrived exceptionally early to go to a social event, and gave us access to our room 4 hours before the official check in time. Thank you, Andy. The property has some parking places (for a small) fee, and I'd recommend you take one if you can, since street parking (though free with a pass from the guest house) can be a bit crowded. We'll definitely book a room here again next time we are down that way.

This was a very decent B and B, professionally run by Andy and Valerie who were friendly, well organised and helpful. The location was good - easy access and quiet and not far (5/10 mins walk) from Southsea prom/beach and pier with its relaxed atmosphere, variety of pubs and restaurants and easy walks to revive travelled legs! Our room was fine. It was simply furnished and everything was clean - perfect for a well priced one night stop over prior to our ferry from Portsmouth. (15 minutes drive in moderate traffic) The breakfast was classic English with well cooked hot breakfast choices to order. We felt the sausage was not of the same quality as everything else which was perfectly OK. Overall we liked the property, felt it was good value for money and appreciated the hosts straightforward and kindly approach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wight Mouse Inn. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom and very nice shower. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. We ate in the pub on 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it also. We appreciated the dog friendliness, and the outdoor seating areas. There are lots of areas for walking, hiking and enjoying the incredible views. Parking was available and free. It was just a short drive to many of the tourist attractions. One item that could be improved is the lock/security of the door to the room (we felt reasonably safe, but noted it as a potential safety issue). The lock was not very secure and could easily be picked by a thief. Even so, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Inn for a relaxing, comfortable location with good food and friendly staff.

The Wight Mouse is situated on the south side of the Island. The rooms are well decorated and extremely comfortable. Soap, shower gel, tea and coffee are all provided in the room. Breakfast consists of a buffet style - yogurts, cereals, fruit and pastries as well as a freshly cooked made to order hot breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, black pudding, tomatoes, avocado, toast etc. and is included in the room price. There is ample parking with three car parks, one at the front , one to the side of the building and one at the rear of the huge garden. They also have two electric charges ( one 11kw and one 7kw) which can be accessed via the Monta app but you will need your own leads. The range of food in the evening is vast - the usual menu with a specials board which changes daily. Best to try and book a table but if you re a resident they will always fit you in. All the staff at The Wight Mouse are extremely pleasant and helpful. A special mention must be made of Lou and Tony, who were extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The Wight Mouse is a little remote if you don't have a car but there are plenty of walking route and a regular bus ( the No 6) which stops at nearby Ventnor. They are also dog friendly.

The Wight Mouse Inn is a hidden delight; the room was beautifully decorated and furnished, and I loved the cosy throws on the beds. We brought our well-behaved large dog with us, and the inn welcomed him as much as they did us! The beds and bedding were so cosy and comfortable, and the room was just the right temperature. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choices for all taste buds, we had a lovely time and will visit again. We ate downstairs in the evening the food was delicious and fresh, would highly recommend having an evening meal there. The staff were all warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Parking is free and available at the Inn carpark and Military road is literally round the corner for a lovely scenic coastal drive.

Everything about this Inn is great. Easy check-In and out, very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable and although the the rooms are above a busy pub/resturant, they are not noisy. Excellent choices for breakfast and a large and varied menu for evening meals...all cooked to perfection, and large portions as well. Wonderful views across the fields and hills to the Needles from some rooms and the garden. Perfect location for the Island's attractions too. My friends and I had a really lovely stay here and recommend it highly.

The location was the perfect halfway point to stay the night as I cycled around the island for the weekend. Their secure bicycle storage was great! There wasn't much nearby within walking distance so I had dinner at the pub downstairs of the inn. It was excellent. It was hard to choose what to eat from all of the great choices. Good beer options as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The wifi was convenient and fast.

John & Ann were very welcoming and cheerfully attended to their guests each day. The hotel itself is in a good location with free parking and local shops, restaurants and beach within easy walking distance. The en suite bedroom was clean, comfortable and quiet and kindly made-over daily. Cooked breakfasts, ordered the day before, were generous and tasty, served with a smile in the large dining room with pleasant music in the background. There is a comfortable double length sitting room for guests downstairs and a cosy reading area on the upstairs landing overlooking the garden. We were impressed to see the photo book showing how much work John and Ann had done to renovate the place when they took it on! You've done a great job - a lovely cosy hotel.

The Room was clean and tidy, beds comfortable, with tea and coffee avaibable. Shower and toilet with little round bars of soap and shower gel. There is plenty of cupboard space for all your cloths and a hairdryer to dry your hair. John and Anne where terrific hosts from the time we got there, to the time we left very friendly and helpful. all the other staff we also friendly and helpful and made you feel special. I'm not sure why this place has only a two star rating but I rate it at least 3 but more like 4.

Amazing stay, spacious room, and really comfortable beds. I stayed here with my boyfriend for a long weekend for our first time in the Isle of Wight, and this lodge was a perfect way to set off our holiday. The host was a lovely lady who checked us in and gave us a short tour. Being a nonalcoholic property, she showed us the bar of soft drinks and juices that we could grab and put on a tab to pay later if preferred. They offer a large lounge with TV, morning breakfast, and a cosy garden to sit in the sun. She even gave us a leaflet of all the local bus times and destinations. The bed was extremely comfortable and soft and gave us a great nights sleep. They provide some mugs and a kettle, and a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate with biscuits.

Somerton Lodge was lovely and cosy, in a convenient location just a small walk from the village. We honestly weren’t expecting much for the price but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and modern, with amenities like a smart TV, a hair dryer and a dressing table. There was also a lounge with games like chess and a large TV, a nice garden with benches and picnic tables, and there was a small bar with soft drinks and snacks (that operated with an honesty policy) that was very convenient to have on site. We also felt safe, with numerous security cameras around the site, a keypad on the front door and a key to access from the back. What we liked the most though, was how welcoming and hospitable the owners were. John and Ann were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay great, and whenever we needed them they were happy to help. Thank you for making our stay so great!

Lovely B&B close to the town centre, a short walk to the shops, restaurants/cafes and bus stops and about 15 mins walk from the railway station. My room was clean and comfortable with a nice wide-opening window and large wardrobe. The small ensuite had an excellent shower which is really important to me. There was a good choice of breakfast and everything I had was tasty (and hot if cooked). There is a large lounge with comfy chairs and benches outside in the garden, both of which I took advantage of. I noticed there are 5 downstairs rooms which would suit someone with reduced mobility.
