The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very large and very clean. The outdoor terrace and pool were exceptional. The view of the bay and the ocean was amazing. A lovely breakfast buffet was included with the room rate. Highly recommend!

The hotel was really clean and in a great location. The pool was also really clean and Sr. Toninho is the best person to be make the drinks at the pool, he is so sweet and incredible professional, all the staff was very friendly and doing above and beyond to make everyone happy. My experience was amazing.

The view of my window. The room was a good size. The shower was great but the bathroom is a bit tiny . The swimming pool is great, but not for toddlers.

Experiência incrível. Hotel com excelente localização, uma vista de tirar o folego, a piscina é MARAVILHOSA, mas não é projetada para crianças vai de 1,50m a 2,20m. Levem as boias, pois vale muitíssimo a pena. O atendimento é muito bom, todos muito simpáticos. O café da manhã é simples, porém muito gostoso e tudo muito fresco. O ar condicionado é potente e funciona muito bem. O quarto que foquei era simples, mas organizado e limpo. Recomendo muito e vou me programar para outras visitas.

Good location, clean and comfortable. Perfect for a solo traveller and the free breakfast was also good.

The room was comfortable. I traveled with my dog Pietro and he was well treated and recieved. The breakfast was OK and the staff was very friendly.

Great price. I liked the breakfast. Only one English tv station. Close to beach. Traffic on one side is heavy. Friendly staff. Great happy greeting.

In my opinion this hotel has the same standards as a IBIS chain. Nice Apartment Size. Clean. Good Service. Fair Breakfast.

Great apartment with a kitchen that compromises of a cooker, oven microwave, refrigerator,cooking and cleaning utensils. It’s perfect for staying close to the beach which is only an 6minute walk away. Plenty of amenities in the vicinity and local supermarkets to stock up on your beach supplies. I would stay here again.

The apartment was comfortable, in a good location, very close to the beach, we had an excellent breakfast

Decent. No orange juice the first two days. Perhaps more appetizing dishes. Donuts?… Bacon or sausage… pancakes, etc. Michelle (breakfast area) was especially attentive and helpful. Kudos! Luciana (front desk) efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating. Look forward to seeing her again.

well located hotel two blocks away from the beach. Several bars and restaurants within a 1 km range which makes doing everything on feet possible. A great plus is that there’s a commercial centre just across from the street with restaurants, shops and a a hypermarket. This was very convenient for us in the end.

Well located, very polite and helpful staff, rooms are spacious and clean. Lovely pool area, good gym and kids/teens game space. All in all, we had a great stay.

The staff are very gentle. The lobby smells very good. They lend us towels to get to the beach (very usefull). There is coffee maker in the bedroom (I love it so much). The location is terrific, in front of a big shopping mall, and a few meter from the beach.

Whenever we have work events in santos we love to stay at this hotel because it’s so close to the beach however, in the 3 times we stayed here, if we stay longer than 1 night, the wifi doesn’t work for the rest of our trip. The TVs are connected to the wifi so you can’t watch anything or use the wifi on your personal devices. Definitely not ideal for work trips

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend with friends. We were looking for something comfortable with good access to the beach and a central location. The staff was able to speak English which in our case wasn't necessary as we were with Brazilians but it was nice. Breakfast was well done with lots of seating. The hotel is compact but since we spent our days on the beach it didn't matter. Our friends were able to park in front of the hotel without any problems and we could walk to the beach in under 5 minutes. We booked this hotel in part to many good reviews online and I would certainly recommend this hotel if you happen to be in Guaruja.

great location near beach and restaurants. the immediate vicinity is a bit of a mess (weedy parking lot on one side) and my room was a little gloomy - on the ground floor but facing the main 3 (I think)-storey building. hotel staff, pool, breakfast, comfort all faultless.

I went to Bourbon 3 times. It's a place to meet new friends and have fun. Many foreigners and enthusiastic people. Different activities. Many different spaces. I love it.

The hotel is centrally located in one of the quieter areas of Santos. We had a very large suite with a nice view. The suite was very well equipped as can be seen at Booking. Good breakfast served in a nice breakfast room. Three fast elevators. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Julio.

We have been here for the first time because of good ratio of money and service. Later on, second time we came to Guarujá, there was no doubt to stay in this hotel once again. Very good location and inside the hotel you appear to be in somewhat Mediterranean small town. We been here not during the high season so the premise was quite and cosy.

Stayed here for over a week and cannot complain. Clean room, good shower, good breakfast. It is easy to walk to the beach, a small mall next door and a bigger mall towards the beach. Plus plenty restaurants around. Only skipped the breakfast once on a Sunday as there was a long line, all the other days there was no wait.

The property was in a very nice clean and convenient area. Shops and restaurants were at a walking distance. I loved the quietness of the rooms. Very nice hotel, and extremely nice staff. Love the room service.!!

Los del hotel te atienden súper bien, mi check-in era a las 14 horas y yo llegue a las 12, dos horas antes y ellos me colocaron en una habitación inmediatamente. Bathroom was functional with hot water. Quiet room, couldn’t hear next door. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the busy beach area. Only a cheap Uber ride away from the Cruise Port. Would definitely come back as it’s easy and only for 1 night. The staff at reception were very friendly and spoke excellent English (not that it mattered to me if they didn’t).

O hotel é bem arurmado e o atendimento é otimo, com um pessoal simpático e muito prestativo. Ja fiquei duas vezes nesse hotel e pretendo repetir quando for novamente.

O hotel está instalado em um imóvel antigo, mas está bem cuidado. A equipe de atendimento se esforça para atender todos bem e com cordialidade. A localização é excelente e permite que quase tudo seja feito a pé, tem 3 shoppings no entorno e muitos comércios. O quarto era amplo, estava limpo e recebeu serviço de limpeza em todos os dias, independente de solicitação. Chuveiro funcionou bem em toda a estadia. Café da manhã de boa qualidade, senti falta apenas de um café espresso(indisponível e sem opção de pagar a parte). Possui dois elevadores pequenos, mas que atenderam bem durante a estadia. O estacionamento é fora e, devido ao movimento de fim de ano, demora cerca de 20’ para receber o carro (aceitável pela época do ano e movimento na cidade), o valor está dentro do esperado.

The property has this Retro look and feeling. One feels as if time has come back. The building is protected and some features cannot be changed. It was a great stay. I would have liked to see the protected outdoors patio being used with a coffee shop as it was in the past. What a pity, because its huge window allows one to see the sidewalk, the ocean and the traffic. Great to work, have a drink and relax.

Hotel is super nice located on the beach, with a silent garden, nice views and great facilities. Breakfast was served on the terrace with a great view.

We visited this hotel with our 4-months baby and we had an amazing time there. The hotel offers cradle and bath (a bit old but still available) which makes the stay quite easy and relaxed. Overall, it was a good experience. However, i have to point out a few things. First, the Hotel is rated as a 5 start hotel, but it is more of a 4 star, in my opinion. It is very overpriced for what it offers. Crowded restaurants (only 1 option for the fullboard/all inclusive service), they had a problem with one of the two elevators on the Central Wing, so a LOT of wait time just to use the elevator. Only 1 pool, and no indoor or heated option (you have to pay extra to use the spa pool). Front desk staff didn’t help much on check in and did not explain how the full board system worked, and did not give all the information about hotel amenities. The hotel was super busy because of a conference and the restaurants were super full and did not accommodate all guests. The room was great (deluxe with ocean view), with an incredible view and very modern and clean. Sometimes, there was a light smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, but nothing major. In the end, we enjoyed our stay but it is DEFINITELY OVERPRICED. For the price we payed, I expected exceptional service and amenities, but was only great.

Great location, really close to Sao Paulo. Nice beach and friendly staff, all eager to help. We do recommend rooms in the central building with ocean view. We’ve missed more gluten, lactose and sugar free options in the buffet. It would be nice to have yoga classes during rain time. Spa’s pool should be a quiet area for relaxing.

What is decisive for us is the beach wheelchair which enables us to stroll on the beach with my father who has mobility issues. But ALL the Meals in the all-inclusive system were fantastic, from Breakfast to Lunch to Afternoon Tea to Dinner. The service of some of the staff was also exceptional: Patricia at check-in, Manager Adriano at the Father's Day lunch, Manager Nelson at one of the restaurants, guard Suelen, and Pamela's best omelets ever.

We had the most incredible 5 night stay. The staff and the management could not have done more to make our stay truly special. The food, cocktails, breakfast buffet selection and quality of everything was very high. Each meal was outstanding. Such lovely staff full of smiles, set in an incredible location with a super clean beach. We felt like this was 7 star, not 5 star. We will definitely be back. Thank you for having us. We will remember it forever.

We had a nice stay. it was short- but the service was good and friendly and the atmosphere was a fun and funky vibe. the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was fine. breakfast was good, location was great- really close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again for sure!

Staff was amazing. Entire hotel was extremely clean. Beach was a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Convenient parking under hotel. Great price for accommodations and location. Surf shop theme added character to this hotel.

This is not a luxury hotel. We stayed 9 nights during carnival season, a very busy time to visit the coast of São Paulo (and the weather extremely hot). The location is great (although the traffic can be chaotic). It is very simple but it is nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is simple but good (but the coffee not so good), presented as a Buffett style (I wished that at least they could serve the coffee at your table instead of self-serve). The staff is very friendly. We did not use all the facilities (gym, sauna, swimming pool etc) so we cannot comment on that. Our room was excellent and large, with a large bed and, to my delight, two full bathrooms. There were two air conditioners in our room working properly, which were great to block the sounds from the streets and from the live music that the hotel presents on weekends (otherwise we wouldn't be able to sleep) around the pool. It was a pleasant experience and we would stay at this hotel again if we decide to return to Guaruja (but next time would be during low season as the heat wasn't so pleasant).

Very nice hotel, súper kind, helpful and professional staff. Always smiling and very aware of us guests. The breakfast is very good and there is great variety of typical Brazilian dishes. The hotel is placed close to several restaurants and shops, and súper close to the beach. The rooms are good. Only comment from my side is that it would be nice with some bigger shampoo, shower gel bottles. Plus liquid soap. The other comment is that it could be great ro be able to get coffee, juice or ice cream during the day - and not only when there is meal time.

The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the beach and close to the main shopping area and boardwalk. The hotels staff are very friendly and went a over and above to accommodate us on our recent visit. The restaurant is priced quite well and the food we tried was quite good. The rooms were clean and the only suggestion I have is that the beds could use a refresh. Great place for the price!

The staff at this hotel was the absolute friendliest, they were flexible about our check out time, and super helpful throughout our stay! Also - the breakfast was fantastic and the location couldn't have been better - a block from the beach by restaurants and stores! I highly recommend this place!

I spent two nights here last week and it's one of the better hotels in Santos. It was a spacious, clean, and quiet room. The rooftop pool was nice and the breakfast buffet was huge. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and did a great job. It's also just a few blocks away from Ciclotec Bicicletas where I rented a bike to cruise along the largest beach garden in the world.

Great simple hotel next to beach and the mall. The location was ideal for my 2 days in Santos. I found it very annoying that they were always out of fruit-infused water in the reception, and when I'd ask about getting more, nothing would happen. However, I loved the pool and was able to swim laps in the evening under the stars with great Brazilian music. They also kept my bag for me after I had checked out so I could enjoy the day before my bus ride. The breakfast was stellar as well, but the line for eggs/tapioca was pretty long and slow; it is kind of mind blowing they only have two people working the station despite the breakfast being served to crowds in a giant conference room. The breakfast staff was patient and kind though and did not seemed frustrated or overwhelmed, despite the crowds. I got a great last-minute deal for this hotel so it was no surprise I had twin beds, no view (literally curtains over a wall on one side to make it look like a window! ha!) out of a sliver of a window, and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom (making for a super low sink, etc. - though I'm happy to report this hotel has great wheelchair accessible bathrooms!). If you are looking for a room with a view you should probably go elsewhere. They had CNN though so I was a happy camper...good to get caught up on the world every once in a while! Overall I'd give this hotel an A-. If they could keep the spa water jug filled in the reception it has potential to feel like more of a first-class hotel.

This was our second time at the hotel. We chose it again mainly because of the excellent service. The location, facilities and restaurant services are excellent, in particular the breakfast buffets. The hotel is very spacious and the leisure areas are fantastic, with plenty to do for all ages and abilities. What we also like about this hotel is the relaxed feel with a touch of luxury. Yes, we can wear shorts and flip-flops in the shiny piano bar area. More importantly, the staff friendliness - across the board - is second to none. We found all members of staff always extremely polite, cheerful and ready to accommodate our requests. I would like to mention in particular Rai, Wilson, Apolo, Giovana, Edilza and Juliana - they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. This is what makes this hotel special and that's why we will keep coming back.

My experience staying at the Mendez Plaza was a great overall experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean just as I'm come to expect from hotels in the United States. The employees and signage made things easy for an English-only speaking traveler. Nice pool, breakfast buffet and exercise facility. My brother stayed at the Parque Balneário during the same trip and although it was closer to the beach, the Mendez Plaza has much nicer rooms.

Fantastic hotel, breakfast superb, comfortable bed and pillows. WiFi excellent. Good location. Plenty of good restaurants close by. Only grip, no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Which you would expect for the price.

The staff at the Grand Hotel were among the friendliest and most accommodating I have ever encountered. They were very eager to practice their (already very good!) English, and seemed more than happy to accommodate any request. They upgraded us to a better room for free without us even asking, and were constantly looking for ways to make our stay more pleasant. The hotel itself is very nice, but not super-luxurious. The upgraded room they moved us to had a window that opened out over the ocean, though, and falling asleep to that sound every night was absolutely heavenly. The restaurant downstairs was decent. Nothing really knocked us out about the food, but there was nothing really disappointing either. The free breakfast was pretty good, but I'm easy to please any time you give me a pile of pao de queijo.

Beautiful location overlooking the beach! Walking distance to central commercial area for banking and shopping! Staff very efficient and service friendly! Terrific breakfast with various tropical fruits and juices! Great value for the accommodation and location.

A localização é ótima, fica em frente à praia. O lazer do hotel é bom, tem a piscina com bar/restaurante. A única coisa a desejar foi que no quarto não tinha telefone, o que dificultou a comunicação com a recepção. No quarto a cortina era muito clara, assim, logo de manhã a claridade entrava no quarto. O café da manhã não tem inovação, todos os dias é a mesma coisa. O chuveiro também é bem ruim.

Hotel gostoso, piscina boa e limpa. Recepção e funcionários atenciosos e educados. Única melhoria q eu faria: repaginar os quartos de modo q tenham uma cara mais atual, pois aparentam ser muito antigos (cortina manchada, mobilia sem combinar com a outra, banheiro com gesso incompleto etc). Entretanto, quartos bem limpos e café da manhã bem gostoso . Ar condicionado funcionando bem. Hotel oferece toalhas e a comida no bar e mais barata que na orla. Iria de novo!

Atendimento dos funcionários maravilhoso. Super educados, do bar a recepção só elogios. Meu namorado deixou o farol aceso no estacionamento, foram nos avisar. Só poderia melhorar na limpeza do quarto. As cortinas estavam sujas e o cheiro de mofo no quarto incomodava um pouco.

My partner and I were looking for a quick and easy getaway from Sao Paulo given that the forecast was for the low 80s (27-29C). We decided to book a hotel right on the front beach in Guaruja. We knew we wanted to be in Enseada and so we looked for a property close to the Quiosque (Beach Bar) that we had heard good things about. Vicino al Mare popped up and the price was right and so we booked it last minute. What a great place to stay. The positives: Location was excellent Staff was so friendly and helpful The room was new and clean and very functional (black out shades, balcony, clean and new bathroom, comfortable bed, clean nice blankets, mini bar with drinks. Free wifi! Not even requiring a log-in. Those of you that have read my reviews will know this is one of my pet peeves and so a mid range hotel offering good free wifi is definitely a plus! Towels for the beach (and umbrellas and chairs I understand, but we just used the ones at the Quiosque). Late checkout! They were totally accomodating of a 2:30 pm checkout so we were able to enjoy a full day on beach and shower before heading back to SP. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Maybe because it is off-season it was so pleasant but I definitely will be back!

My company put me up in this hotel for a month while working temporarily in Guaruja. This was a great place to stay. Beach is right across the street, and comfortable walking distance to restaurants in the area. Definitely a 'holiday' place at the beach. During the week not very crowded at all, on the weekends it picks up and on holidays as this past Easter...PACKED on the beach. The hotel has 24-26 rooms so although the beaches were packed, it was comfortable to sit by the pool and/or the outside bar by the pool. The dining area by the pool is very cool and they have an oven/bbq that all guests can use. Probably the only issues I have is that the WiFi was a little iffy, the last week I was there they had obviously had someone come look at it, as it was working better. If you are looking for a huge suite, it will not be here, this is a vacation place by the beach...although my room was small (relatively speaking compared to US rooms) it was always cleaned when I arrived back..as well as a mini bar always stocked. Special mention goes to: Ulysses, Bruno, Edwardo and Junior who took Very, Very Excellent care of me while I was there. Nothing asked was turned down or even thought of as 'putting the staff out'. Excellent staff!!! Thanks guys! Will definitely visit if in the area again and hopefully will be there for vacation and not work!

We were staying at an apartment in Santos but wanted to go to Guaruja for the day and wanted a place were we could go to the pool, take a nap, use the facilities, shower, etc. Hotel Vicino al Mare is right across the street from the beach.We were able to charge some things we consumed at the beach back to the room, which was very convenient. The pool was great and the restaurant is right on it, so we got food and drinks served while we were at the pool. The room was pretty clean and comfortable. Comfy beds, and clean restroom / shower.

We came here to get out of Sao Paulo for the weekend and what a good choice it was. The location is perfect and couldn't be closer to the beach. The staff are very helpful, the breakfast was good, the pool area is sensational and I would highly recommend staying here. The rooms are basic but clean and all you need for a beach side hotel . Thanks to all for an awesome weekend away .

I had read reports of noise at this hotel, so was expecting that. However, noise levels were low, except for one night when people in a neighbouring building were making some noise. I had taken earplugs with me and this soon solved the problem. All other aspects were great. The rooftop pool area is fantastic, with great views and good bar service at reasonable cost. The rooms are not large, but very comfortable and clean with very powerful air conditioning. The beach opposite was great. Front desk staff very friendly. Free wifi internet worked well. Breakfast was good. Very happy with this hotel and would stay again.

Overall a great hotel for the price and location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they secured our bags, parked our vehicle and allowed us to change and use the pool until our room was ready. My only complaints were the ocean view room we had has a beautiful balcony which has a large tree obstructing most of the view as well as looking down on a rusted aluminum roof. Otherwise, it is right across the street from the beach and the hotel has chairs and umbrellas for use at no extra charge. The free WiFi was difficult and cumbersome to use. The free breakfast was excellent Brazilian style.

Recently stayed two nights with my girlfriend at the Transamerica Prime Guaruja. We loved the hotel and the proximity to the beach. The hotel was great, rooms really nice and the staff excellent. The only issue was that we had a few ants near the sink and around the fridge, but the room was clean and neat. The TV and cable was exceptional and lots of movie choices. The restaurant was nice as well and the breakfast very good. The hotel also provides free beach chairs and umbrellas across the street. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again.

The rooms are very new, clean, modern and comfortable. The air conditioner in my room did not work, despite someone coming to look at it. They claimed it was working, but it was clearly just blowing warm air. The TV was so complicated to operate that I gave up and unplugged it. Breakfast was average.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent stay at the Hotel Doral Guarujá. Fantastic location on the beach and you can stay by the pool or use the beach opposite via a kiosk for drinks and food. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Guarujá is a good place to visit too if you love the beach.
