I love this hotel! It has so many neat little nuances like the train that delivers drinks in the restaurant, the immaculate rooms and common area, the comfortable bed, the large windows that allow you to hear the trains if you want or not, they are that good. The location is wonderful! It's right next to the steam train depot which transforms you back to a bygone era. The trains take you up to the top of Brocken Mountain and beautiful hiking in Harz National Park. It's a couple blocks from shopping and restaurants in the picturesque city center of Wernigerode. The restaurant has wonderful food! We stayed 3 nights and had dinner there twice! There is a patio out the front door to enjoy a beer or a little nook on the second floor to watch the night settle in. The beer on tap was amazing! I love the staff and the accommodations. We would highly recommend the Hotel Altora to everyone. Request a room in front to enjoy the view of the beautiful hillside and trains, or if you're looking for a silent stay, request a room in the back.

Sport from a rushed check in, we arrived at 2140 and reception closed at 2200, everything else was fine. Good clean room, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, good food in the restaurant, fine collection of railwayania displayed throughout the hotel. Well situated for the Harz (and DB ) railway stations. "Railway rooms" do overlook the engine sheds bit if you're spending all day riding the trains are probably not worth the supplement as they is a balcony available to all and it has an even better view for those unable to walk 15 metres to the other side of the road up to the railway fence!!

My first impression was one of exceptional freshness in the room, which was of good size and comfort. Check in was quick and friendly and breakfast had a good selection. The location is perfect for exploring the town and region. For those taking the steam train into the Harz or traveling by normal train, the stations are across the road. The beautiful pedestrian zone which is also where you catch the shuttle to the castle overlooking the town, is a pleasant stroll less than five minutes straight down the street. You also get free regional bus transportation with your tourist card at checkin. Perfect location, friendly service, nice room, excellent value.

Excellent location. Much better than expected room. Very good breakfast buffet included in the very reasonable room price. Extremely convenient for the steam railway and the restaurant bar has a novel railway theme with service rendered by miniature train set. Great experience, especially if you are a rail enthusiast. Staff are very friendly and take part in the railway experience. Close by main town square.

Conveniently located near the Harz narrow gauge railway, (with a railway theme to the hotel) but only a few minutes walk towards the centre of the historic town centre. Clean and modern rooms , a good breakfast buffet and friendly helpful staff.

We are a loud group. The hotel staff not only made us feel welcome, but it was very obvious that they cared about how comfortable we were. Our rooms were clean and tidy, the pup was provided with an occasional treat and we were thrilled with delicious meals and hospitable atmosphere. Hot coffee waited on the breakfast table for us each morning. Tip toll!

The location of the Hotel couldnt be better, at the top of the mountain, having a panoramic view of the town. The vibe of the Hotel amazing, local, cozy, very friendly, always smiling, polite and there to help you with whatever u could ask them! Thank you very much! Would definetely come back again!

Everything. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast. The room was cozy and we had the perfect hospitality. We really appreciate the quick and kind service that the manager sent the watch my son lost in the room to our home by post!

A wonderful hotel with a fantastic sauna. The room's design was interesting and unique, and I loved the classic key lock instead of a keycard. The breakfast was great, featuring a small selection of hot dishes. Dinner was also delicious and offered excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff, we got a huge room with an alcove that was very spacious and nice, the bath was on the smaller side but not a problem, they also have a resturant with great foods and there is also a few other options in the area. There was some construction going on just outside but it wasent a problem either, they have parking on the ground but i parked my car just up the street (free in the area just watch for the cleaning day when it is forbidden that day) due to the roadwork

We were very impressed by the eye for detail, beautiful interior, rooms and outstanding service. The food, both breakfast and dinner, in their own restaurant were top notch. The Sauna area was also well considered, clean and never too crowded. Lovely quiet luxury kind of place we would visit again.

Spa Suite was super nice with lots of comfort and amenities. The private Sauna and then the fancy hot tub on the big balcony were super nice. Bed was top notch. Breakfast was good too and their restaurant for dinner.

Very clean, new and comfortable spatious houses, very well equipped, beautiful view on mountains. Enough interesting things to do in the area for families. Well located on a mountain. Nearby village Schierke on walking distance. Park restaurant offers very good quality meals. We visited the park in August.

What's not to like? Very comfortable cottages in a scenic place with a nice breakfast at the restaurant on the property. No complaints and would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for visiting the town or castle. Easy walk to everything you could need and a very short walk to the included car park. The apartment was comfortable even on a very warm day (we were on the top floor, only stairs to get there), the windows gave a nice cross breeze and will definitely book again if come back to Wernigerode.

Great location in the city center, with many restaurants, cafes, and nice places for a walk nearby. The apartment was well-equipped, clean, and even larger than I expected. Checking in and out was easy with the provided instructions. Excellent value for the price. Awesome!!!

Very well equipped property, especially in the kitchen. A lot of thought has gone into making sure you have everything you need. The apartment is well furnished, comfortable and clean. It is a short walk from the town centre.

The property is conveniently located in the center of Wernigerode. It's a historical house with eight apartments. The arrangement of the apartment we booked is more than perfect! The hosts took care of every detail in kitchen, bathroom and living room. They arranged a parking lot at a private parking just 200m away from the property. Prior arrival we received the code for the door and could check in very easily. And on top of every convenience there was a bottle of nice dry Rotkäppchen sparkling wine as welcome drink!

I like almost everything about this hotel. The location is an uphill walk but you have an exceptional view of the castle, day and night. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet is wonderful. The rooms are clean, and beds are comfortable to sleep on. It is my second time here and I think if ever I go back to Wernigerode, I'd still choose this hotel. :)

The place is beautiful and we were given an upgrade to a bigger room than we originally booked. The room was gurgeous! Everything was very clean and beutifully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay. The room had kitchen/Sittingroom which alone was bigger than most rooms in places like this. Then there was the main bedroom and a bathroom downstairs. Breakfast in the morning was very cute and had plenty of choises even if it was small and only set for some ten persons.

Beautiful big, cool room on the groundfloor with a fountain view. Luxurious bathroom. Amazing bed with options to raise head and legs independently with remote control!! The staff is lovely and friendly. There is a 'guest kitchen' so we were able to make cups of tea and take them to the room, or, to one of the outdoor tables available on the grounds of this lovely property. Safe garage for the bikes. It's quiet. Trains didn't bother us at all, especially with windows closed.

Villa Wittstock clearly exceeded the expectations. Arriving there was a little WOW in itself. The next thing was the reception by family members - they upgraded us from twin room to 2 separate rooms. And all of it happened when they had not yet received any booking confirmation form Booking . com yet. The house is rare and classy find with squeaking stairs, paintings and candelabras with old clock waiting at the end of corridor. Rooms are all different, but spacious. Breakfast in room #14 with huge window opening to the courtyard is a really luxurious start of the day.

The Old Villa is a stunning heritage property, beautifully preserving its timeless charm with superior vintage furnishings, decorations, and high-quality equipment. Ultraclean. The view on sunset was breathtaking, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, making you feel truly at home—it's like being part of a family. I felt genuinely cared for throughout my stay. The breakfast was fit for royalty. The parking is private, with monitoring and free for the guests. I wish more of my stays could offer such a wonderful experience. 11/10

This property is outstanding so clean I haven’t seen many places like it. Gentlemen on site was polite helpful and attention to detail with his breakfast morning relaxing settings and definitely a good night sleep guaranteed. definitely will be back sometime.

The 24-hour self-service wine bar was a highlight, offering a nice selection of local wines at fair prices. The location was easy to reach, and even though the hotel’s car park was taken due to an event, we found free public parking nearby without trouble. Our room was large, newly remodeled, and very comfortable.

The location was simply unbeatable — right in the heart of the historic old town! From the moment you step in, you’re immersed in the unique atmosphere of Quedlinburg: you enter through an old, charming building, only to discover a modern and cozy apartment tucked away in the quiet courtyard. Such a beautiful contrast! We were especially delighted by the outdoor spaces — a lovely balcony upstairs and a sheltered seating area downstairs. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. There was even a barbecue available, which added a homey touch. The hosts truly thought of everything: kitchenware, cleaning supplies, coffee and tea, and even a city map with the main attractions marked. These thoughtful details made our stay even more enjoyable. And the best part? All of this came at a very affordable price! It was incredibly good value for money, especially considering the central location. Highly recommended — a perfect place to feel the magic of Quedlinburg!

Best location! The room smelled clean and fresh, the bathroom was super modern and very nice. The room definitely looked better in person than on the photos! We didn't have the breakfast as it seemed a little expensive, but in hindsight I think it's a reasonable price! Breakfast options in the town are somewhat limited and a similar price! Parking was a little confusing to find but great that it's available!

Location to the town square was superb. Apartment was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Hosts were friendly and accessible. Price was very good. Overall an exceptional stay.

Literally everything was 10/10. Value for price is in the skies, apartment is very big, it is warm (we visited in December, it was -4 outside), superbly clean, it has everything you could need in living place. Apartment is located, I don't know, like 1 min from central market square - but it is little bit inside side street, so it's quiet. There are also nice summer facilities, but we didn't use them in winter

In spite of it being very central, it was still quiet. The apartment was roomy and not cramped and stylishly decorated. We had a balcony which was lovely for the evenings. The sauna area was lovely. Parking was good but limited when more guests arrived. Breakfast was sufficient with enough variety. shopping and restaurants were all close by.

Overall it was a great place with nice staff. Breakfast buffet had lots of good choices. Room was spacious, and with a great bathroom/shower. The complimentary pilsners in the fridge were a really nice touch. They also provide a lot of dishes in case you wish to prepare your own meals. Coffee maker in room.

Lots of character, lovely views of schloss, the staff very friendly and helpful. Ate once very good food reasonably priced. Good central location for Hartz attractions and towns. Breakfast very good, plates of meat and cheeses, yogurt and fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order, gorgeous warm rolls all served, good coffee!

Hotel staff is so friendly and forgiving our lack of deutch language. Our deluxe room (nro 3) was beautiful and very comfortable with a view like a painting. Breakfast was served in tables and had everything you could hope for. The location in Blankenburg is not so special since the town lacks the personality of nearby Quedlingburg and Wegergerode. But then again by car only 15 minutes drive to them. All on all, nice experience.

Exquisite view to Blankenburg Castle from a spacious and well furnished room. Good breakfast and great food in the restaurant. Also nice that they offer charging of your e-car at a reasonable price.

This charming hotel is a great position, right at the foot of the cathedral's hill, next to the pedestrian area. It has a small private car park but a slot can be booked in advance. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean and the breakfast buffet in the morning tasty and varied. We particularly appreciated the possibility of enjoying a free warm drink during the day and a glass of liqueur in the evening by the reception desk. The staff is kind and helpful.

The history of the property is amazing. The double room, with bathroom, was simple but perfect for our needs; clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is perfect for exploring Lutherstadt; so much to see and take in. Many of the buildings have plaques that indicate who lived there and the dates. We recommend the onsite restaurant not only for starting your immersion into the history of the area, but also for the delicious food. We wish we had more time to spend here! The breakfast included with the room is excellent. This is a unique accommodation that shouldn't be missed :-)

The hostel-monk room was as described. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked great. Showers were clean and hot. Access to kitchen was appreciated. Kitchen included basic amenities. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The breakfast staff and front-desk staff were also exceptionally friendly. Location is right in town-center. Grocery stores 10-minute walk away.

There is a balcony on the first floor with comfortable garden furniture which all guest can use .There is also courtyard with benches if you want to seat outside. The owner of the hotel is speak English very well and takes good care of his guests. We love friendly atmosphere of this place.The breakfast was very good with everything what you need .The food was very tasty ,we even head freshly baked rolls. Exceeded expectations, especially at the price. Great location. About 15 mins walk from train station and right near centre. Had to telephone host on arrival for instructions. Was nervous about this as not good on the phone and q speak much German, but host kindly spoke clearly in English. Was easy, so there was no need to be nervous about the telephone. I'm a single traveller, so I booked a single room. Was impressed by size and layout and was very clean. The room was on the top floor, so glad to see a nice bottle of water waiting after taking my suitcase upstairs. But it was worth it. I loved the attic ceiling and hearing the birds swoop by the window. The view was outstanding and I really felt part of the history. Plenty electrical sockets. Strong hot shower. Comfortable bed. There is also a communal balcony area for guests to relax. Breakfast is served from 8-1030 and was included in the price. A fantastic continental breakfast with hot eggs if you fancy. Plenty to choose from, fresh and well presented. I loved my trip to Quedlinburg and would recommend this hotel. Great service at a fantastic price. Now, 350 miles to Sylt! Quedlinburg was well out my way on this tour but worth the effort. Magic!

The hotel is pleasantly situated a short walk to the main square. It has the advantage of a private off-road parking area next to the property. Its a boutique B&B with maybe 10 rooms? The building has been modernised over recent years. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast room was lovely, a large buffet selection and eggs cooked to order. Owners were serving breakfasts and were very pleasant. Owner brought our cases down from our room while we were having breakfast. We would stay again in a lower room. There is limited parking in the old town

The hotel is very easy to get to and has an onsite, cheap parking, with loads of space. It is 5 minutes away from the main market so location is perfect. The room was spacious and very comfy so no issues there. The breakfast was spectacular, I couldn't believe a small hotel offers such a huge breakie. Hotel is a little expensive but definitely offers good price for money.

Perfect- the Location is in the Heart of the old town, the parking space directly at the back of the hotel, the process to get access was perfect and the best of all - the breakfast. If we come back to Quedlinburg once more, we know where to stay.

Our room was large (family) and quiet, the bathroom as large and with enough towels for everyone and more. The facilities were very clean, We had a wonderful stay at the Weißer Hirsch and we're very happy with our choice of hotel and city. Wernigerode is absolutely charming.

My room (the double with balcony) was great - nice decor, quite cosy, and with everything I needed. Check-in was easy and the staff were helpful. When I discovered that the kettle in the room wasn't working, they replaced it for me while I was out, with no fuss. Since Halberstadt is quite small, everything was walking distance (except the train station).

There was nothing I could fault about any aspect of my 2 night stay. The room, ambiance, staff, breakfast and light supper were all excellent. Excellent value for money. A safe environment for females traveling alone. I stayed here whilst my son was racing at Oschersleben circuit 20km away. It is an easy drive to the circuit and a peaceful, clean haven to get away in the evening. I would recommend it to those looking for a good place to stay within 30mins drive of the circuit.

Outdoor terrace is a very nice place for a drink after walking around. Has a rooftop terrace too but was a bit cold for us to explore there.

The hotel is a castle, with a beautiful exterior and elegant interior furnishings, allowing you to feel the owner's unique taste. Parking can be done downstairs, safely and conveniently. The room is very large and clean, the bathroom has plenty of water, and the shower is very comfortable.The staff are kind and friendly. The breakfast was extremely sumptuous, served by a dedicated person, and a full table was set up. In order not to waste food, I had to eat very full, and the staff even took the initiative to take photos for my husband and wife. I really hope to stay here for a few more days.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very neat and absolutely spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is right in the city centre, so it was close to everything — very convenient for exploring. The breakfast was very tasty, with great variety of foods. Breakfast was served from 7 to 11 o’clock, which gave plenty of time to enjoy a relaxed start to the day. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and well-located place that I’d happily stay at again.

We really liked the Hotel Zum Baer in the heart of beautiful Quedlinburg. Our room faced the market square, giving us a splendid view of this architectural gem. The room had a nice atmosphere, with two armchairs, a small coffee table, a desk and a king-size bed. Lighting was good. We slept really well, helped by the fact that evening temperatures were moderate and cooled down the city; there was no A/C in the room. The bathroom was small yet very functional; good water pressure. Parking behind the hotel was very convenient and affordable. Breakfast offered ample choice of hot and cold dishes; we enjoyed sitting outside on the market square and people-watch during breakfast. Lastly, staff were very, very nice in all their different functions (at the reception, at breakfast and the chamber maid). In short, we would highly recommend the hotel.

A small family hotel near the sugar factory, the Weisse Elster tends to host workers during the week. The breakfast buffet is good, by German standards, and you can request eggs to your liking. Staff is nearly always present during the day, and the place is kept clean. Parking is right next door. Staff was prompt in finding me a fan (ventilator) because the room faced into the sun in the afternoon. It is quite likely I would stay here again if my “go to” location is full.

A really good breakfast spread put out each morning. The proprietor and his staff were all friendly and very helpful. Opportunity to also charge my EV at the hotel. Only 3kW charger but rates very reasonable.

We really appreciated that it was not a buffet but you could order what you wanted to eat from their menu so there is less food waste and everything we ate was freshly prepared. The pool and saunas were very clean and tidy. There is a wet Turkish sauna and a dry Finnish sauna (outdoors) with enough capacity. The circuit was easy to follow and even if it is small is enough for a relaxing day. Also, we could use the installations as much as we wanted giving notice to the receptionist.

Spa and welness facilities of this hotel is definitely a highlight: very clean, well-maintained, the water in the pool is warm enough for comfortable swimming and staying in the water. Breakfast variety was really good and the food was delicious. Many people weren't satisfied with the quality of the Wi-Fi connection but for me it worked fine, both for video calls and watching youtube. There's also big parking with enough space, I haven't used it but it exists and looked good. I would definitely book again next time I'm in Harz.

We stayed here just for a quick overnight — arrived late and left early . The hotel is close to the highway, which made it really convenient for our trip. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. There’s parking right outside the hotel, including a charger for electric cars, which was a big plus. There’s also a garden area where you can kick a soccer ball around — a nice touch if you're traveling with kids. Breakfast was good too.

Great breakfast, great dinner in the restaurant, quiet room with fan. Secure bike storage for those riding the Saale.

Perfectly placed on the town square and within touching distance of the old town hall and the tourist office, I had a super stay at Gothisches Haus. Outside it is like a quaint medieval house but inside all is modern with all the conveniences and services you expect in German hotel of this rating. The rooms were large and comfortable, with nice bathrooms, and the public areas are spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful - none speak English, as you would expect, so brush up on your German before your trip. They provided a phone charger for me when mine died on the first day of my visit, which was a life saver. The WiFi is good here too. Breakfast is excellent with all the usual German foods available in large fresh quantities, and served in an airy modern dining room. It's an easy walk from the station and Brockenbahn, as well as to the castle and all the lovely restaurants and coffee shops around the city centre. Out of all the hotels I have stayed at in Wernigerode, this is the best one. Recommended.

Our rooms were very nicely furnished and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection catering to every taste. One of our group was vegetarian and she enjoyed the ample breakfast selection. Food in the restaurant was very good and good value for money. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was a great meeting point in the evenings and the friendly bar keeping service was excellent. The hotel was an ideal starting point for us to explore the Harz region, We had a great stay!

A-ROSA Gothisches Haus has a fantastic location in the beautiful town of Wernigerode. The interior has a slightly older style, but it is charming, well-maintained, and very cozy. The hotel offers convenient garage parking nearby, which is a real advantage since parking can be challenging in older towns. Everything worked perfectly and was very smooth. Our room was comfortable, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was simply fantastic – delicious and with plenty of variety. Overall, it was a truly pleasant experience, and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wernigerode

This family run B&B was 15 minutes off the A2 road through Germany and seems very popular. The setting is lovely in an old village, very quiet. The B&B is very traditional in a nice way in that it is very homely.Don't expect interior designer rooms, more visit to a grandparent. I mean that in a nice way - nothing fancy, all quite dated but very clean and comforting. We arrived late and booked late so they said we might not get a double room. In the end we had a triple room with a nice view (see photo) and our own bathroom - good shower. The hostess and her son were very charming and served us breakfast in a cosy dining room. Lots of meats, cheese, eggs, bread, yoghurt and good coffee- perfect. Fantastic value, would definitely return. Lovely drive back through beautiful countryside to motorway.

Breakfast had both hot and cold offerings and of course freshly baked warm Brotchen (like small baguettes) coffee, tea, juice. I would recommend Hotel Pension Schwanenteich to solo travelers who don't mind carrying luggage from public transportation.

Room was very spacious and quite modern for such an old-looking building; it had AC and the bathroom had ventilation that turned on and off automatically. There's a complimentary water bottle in the room, and you get a ready-made table with your own basket of buns, coffee jug, etc. for breakfast. Staff is very nice and helpful too.

We speak almost no German and had some trouble communicating with desk clerk on check in during the evening. She seemed impatient with us when asking questions to clarify parking, late entry, breakfast time etc. The breakfast was delicious. Parking was very convenient. Hotel location is perfect for visiting Wittenberg city square, christmas market and All Saints' Church.

The shower was very spacious, which is not always the case in EU bathrooms. Some hotel staff speak English including at the front desk (which is not the norm in this area) so we were very appreciative of that. There is parking on site, and it is walking distance to the town area. This is a great base to explore Harz National Park and surrounding areas. We loved the food at the hotel restaurant (we ate their two nights during our stay) and the breakfast buffet was incredible too - so many options! They also offer espresso coffee drinks too. Staff were friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi! There is a sauna and spa services available too. My only criticism (and this is common in EU hotels) is that our bed was not really a queen size but two beds pushed together. This means there is a small gap down the middle that is a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Keep in mind that the Harz area is really geared towards German tourists and not foreigners. We honestly wish we had spent more time just enjoying the hotel! If I were ever to visit this area again this is the only place I would stay. I have German friends who are repeat visitors with good reason!

The location is convenient, 7 mins away from the cabin lift / gondola and the action park, it was what we came there for. We went up and down the hill with the gondola lift and tried the bobsleigh, it was fun. Breakfast is with a rebooked hour, which is excellent if you are planning some mountain activities, you get your table ready at the arranged time with a coffee jug and a bowl of fresh bread waiting for you at a designated table. Perfect weekend getaway for two, breakfast was very classy and room was comfy and a great respite after a long hike. Staff was exceptionally friendly.

The location was good for us being near the station and also near the cable car. We took a bus to Treseberg and walked back along the Bodetal which was recommended to us by the hotel reception lady. We also took the cable car to the Hexentanxplatz one day and the chairlift to the Rosstrappe the next. Both places offer short walks to viewpoints and it's also possible to walk up or down to either. The spa is also very close and quite reasonable for a few hours relaxation. The room was quiet and comfortable and a good continental breakfast was provided.

The staff was friendly and check in went smoothly. The location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk to hiking trails and a spa and restaurants. The room was a bit small but fine.

This is a small, quiet, clean establishment, conveniently located across the street from the newly reopened Master's Houses, which were built for the professors who taught at the Bauhaus design school when it was located in Dessau in the 1920s. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine. The hotel is also located within walking distance of the Bauhaus school itself. As far as I could tell, this establishment does not have an elevator, which may be a consideration for some guests. However, when I checked in, the receptionist cheerfully carried my suitcase up the three flights of stairs to my room. There is no restaurant but one can get drinks and coffee and enjoy them on the terrace in front of the hotel.

The breakfast was amazing. No hot breakfast but a great assortment of cereals, meats, cheeses and fruit. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room size was very comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the UNESCO Bauhaus and Dessau Park. I would stay again if visiting Dessau.

Staff were lovely, very helpful with my lack of German, five minutes walk from my parents house, clean, spacious, fabulous orange juice, very quiet street, loved the nearby 7 pillars. The sweets on the pillow were a lovely touch, met a couple of other lovely friendly guests. The Schlossberg hotel was wonderful. The front desk was very helpful giving us suggestions on what to do and where to go. The breakfast was delicious and the wait staff was very helpful. I got the impression that not as many people from the US visit Wernigerode but I found the hotel and whole town wonderful. My husband is learning German so we were able to communicate though the staff at the hotel and restaurants had someone who spoke English. We arrived late and happened to be given the attic room - very, very large but it has a very narrow staircase to the third floor, so just take your time going up and down the steps. Super charming room, with plenty of space and great view. Very short walk to the castle from the hotel.

It was a really nice place to stay. I walked from train station to the hotel, which is about 2km. The reception was very good, I was able to order in advance the dish i wanted to have for dinner and the time for dinner, and I was able to have the dish divided in two for me and my girlfriend (which is not well seen in other hotels, I must say). There is a traditional German cuisine for dinner. Overall the staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and warm.

Great location in a very clean and peaceful district, neighbouring the city centre. The room spacious and clean, the service nice, the bar open 24/7. Parking in the underground garage is a bit stressful for a bigger car, but luckily it wasn't much occupied. The only thing to complain about was breakfast. Its quality was great, but we weren't lucky to enjoy it to the full. Shortly after 9 AM most products were either run out or finishing. We spent about 40 minutes eating leftovers and hoping for the service to replenish the eggs, sausages, tomatoes, etc. Unfortunately, no one brought anything:(. That was a huge, unacceptable minus and disappointment, really:(.

The hotel rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. There is a little mini-bar fridge available, which the hotel does not recommend to use in summer, but in spring it was very helpful to keep small food & drink items fresh. While the location is a little out of the town, in 15 mins on foot (or in less than 5, if you catch a bus, which are free with the tourist voucher you will receive in return for paying the tourist tax) you reach the old town - this is a very reasonable walking time. Even if the path leads along a road, in the spring parts of it will lead you under beautiful pink-blossoming trees. There are a couple of supermarkets in the vicinity of the hotel and even if the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there are plenty of options in the town. I also liked the free parking (with plenty of space available).

The only drawback is that it’s not directly in the old city. However, it’s great for traveling and seeing the neighboring cities and the area. Only about a 30 minute walk to town

This is a wonderful guesthouse! We stumbled upon it at the last minute as a decision to escape the city for a few nights. The receptionist was very friendly and a we were running late for checking in she made sure that our room key was held at the restaurant attached to the inn. The restaurant is a must try too! Portions are huge and the food was delicious. We are planning a return visit.

The hotel is located in the centre, near to the market place. The rooms are spacious and we had a very nice balcony with a beautiful view to a church and some old houses. Very good breakfast with everything, you could wish.

The staff in the reception were extremely nice. We brought our small coton dog and they placed a water and eating bowl for our dog in our apartment. They also gave her a chewing bone. Also the included breakfast buffet was really good! It is also worth to mention that the beds are really comfortable. We would definitely like to stay at Altwernigeröder Apparthotel again.

Stolberg is a gorgeous village and it’s really quiet. We got exactly what we wanted and enjoyed every minute here. The hotel in just in the middle of the small village and had an excellent view of the square. We would love to go back some day.

However, the staff was very polite and helpful. The location was perfect, because it was. Lose to downtown on the one hand and close to the river Saale.

Excellent location on the edge of the town centre, but only a few minutes from shops and restaurants. Very quiet. Nice restaurant with terrace next to a river. Ideal base for a few days to explore this interesting town with its excellent art gallery, Handel Museum and so fine churches.

Although this is a provincial spot, Ankerhof gives all the value you would expect. It has the right location, a good product and direct connection to public transport. Rooms are well done with river view and the team has all passion to run it. Recommendable the restaurant connected.

A lovely family-run hotel with an on-site brewery! The location is fantastic: very close to everything: the city centre, major sightseeing attractions, and the river Elbe. The rooms are large, cosy, and impeccably clean, with comfy beds. Great breakfast; staff were all helpful, welcoming, and kind. I especially enjoyed the on-site museum and the many beautiful old plates displayed in the hallways - with wonderful memories of the past. During the pre-Xmas season, they even host a charming Christmas market in their courtyard!

We recently stayed at the H+ Hotel in Halle and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist. The location of the hotel is convenient, with good transport connections and easy access to the city center. Whether for business or leisure, I highly recommend the H+ Hotel in Halle and would gladly stay here again.

This is sort of an upper-end budget hotel, or an economical mid-range hotel, and we found this hotel to be very comfortable. The rooms are quite spacious, there was a good workdesk area, and there was lots of storage. Some people have complained about highway noise; my room was very quiet, as it faced south, away from the highway. The hotel has lots of free parking. The price was reasonable. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, with lots of delicious choices, and plenty of seating. We arrived before the official checkin time, and were only planning to store the luggage and come back later to check in, but the front desk allowed us to check in early - considerate, and helpful for us. You will wonder where the GPS is taking you after you exit the highway, as the road to the hotel seems like an unlikely route, a bit winding, but there are signs and you will get there after two or three minutes driving. We found access to central Halle from this hotel to be good. It was quite a short drive to the centre of town, and there was adequate parking on the edge of the old town. From where it was a relatively short walk to the Marktplatz and the tourist attractions. This is a hotel for people who have a car, however; if you are relying on public transit to get around, there are better options for Halle. If I am in Halle again, I would stay here again.

This is a lovelly hotel that is very professional and has the feel of a high star hotel in a capital city. The room was spacious and v clean the bathroom comprehensivly kitted out and modern. As with all German hotels, the pillows are the softest and comfiest ever. Private car park at the rear. Good breakfast and nice staff. A very comprehensive information folder is provided.

It has it's own nice comfortable dining/bar area in a big courtyard which we used to eat Indonesian food and German food plus drinks . We also walked to a fish restaurant for dinner and the Brauhaus on the way to the market square . It's very picturesque walking round town. No air conditioning and 32C outside but we coped by opening the window at night only. Our room was big with a good wide bed and good shower/bathroom and in the old barn like building which didn't get much direct sun in August. Breakfast was good but quite busy. Hotel Parking across the road was secured by barrier and we had no problems parking.

Arrived late and checked in no problems, front desk very helpful, room was very clean, though very warm fixed by opening the window onto the court yard. Really wonderful view. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in ages with so much choice and the server is just too good and too happy for that time of the morning! I stayed in 2 rooms and the quality was consistent. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from DB and HSB teain stations.

The location was central to our travel plans, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was super helpful. We were able to get adjoining rooms with one of the rooms having office space and the other having a table and kitchenette.

The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, and understanding of my lack of German. The reception staff spoke good English. The restaurant provided a very pleasant and affordable meal. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. I did not visit the sauna.

The staff was kind and helpful. I was in the area on business and just happened to find the Gasthaus because of proximity to my meeting. Would like to return for a tour of the area.

Lovely little Gasthof with very friendly staff in a beautiful Harz valley town. The breakfast was a good variety with cooked eggs available to order, and the evening meals were also very good. Spotless room with comfortable bed and a good shower. There is also no problem with parking as there is a large car park a few minutes' walk away with no charge.

The hotel is in the center of Stolberg. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was good. The breakfast was very good. The hotel has a restaurant, so we had dinner there too. It was good.

The staff at the front desk was suberb making my stay pleasant. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. I will defintely book a room in this hotel next time I visit Halle.

The breakfast, the staff, the location were all excellent. We travelled with our dog and the dog was very welcome. The Volkspark, actually the back yard of the hotel, was a perfect place to walk the dog. The room was spacious, internet was ok and the room was very quiet.

When we arrived and checked-in, we did not ever want to leave this hotel again, even thought of just staying there a week. It is at a very large and serene lake, with a lot of things to do. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The restaurant is soooo good! The breakfast was amazing! The hotel bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it. The balcony was huge! If you are seeking relaxation from stressful life, just go there during the summer and rest. The value/price is Incredible! Again a thank you to the staff!

Best hotel I’ve stayed in in Germany. Place felt newly built and had a cozy touch. They had a gym with brand new equipment, a nice sauna with showers and acces to the outside area. The dinner restaurant was great. The only thing that wasn’t top quality was the breakfast, it felt like it lacked some options. Still a 10/10 experience. Will definitely stay here again!

Die Lage ist wunderschön, das Personal war ausnahmslos sehr freundlich. Frühstück war vielfältig und lecker. Das Restaurant ist besonders zu erwähnen, das Essen war sehr gut, die Kellner*innen absolut zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben selten so gut gegessen! Wir hatten leider keinen eigenen Balkon am Doppelzimmer, auch die Minibar war nicht gefüllt, allerdings gab es einen Gemeinschaftsbalkon und eine Treppe tiefer ein Restaurant, wo man jederzeit Getränke kaufen konnte. Uns hat besonders die Ruhe gefallen, ich persönlich fand auch die Lese-Ecke mit allen Klassikern der Literaturgeschichte sehr schön. Das Zimmer war hübsch eingerichtet, mit viel Stauraum und alles super-sauber, die Handtücher flauschig und ausreichend vorhanden. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen! Wer Ruhe und Erholung & leckeres Essen sucht ist dort absolut richtig!

We stayed at La Rustica for 3 nights whilst visiting the Brocken area and found the room to be a good size, fairly basic but very comfortable and cosy with friendly staff. Language was a slight problem but not their fault- we felt bad not being able to speak German! An extra pillow appeared after the first days clean, I had bulked up the 1 pillow with a blanket to make it higher for me, so that was nice. We ate in the restaurant below 1 night and found the food to be very tasty (pizza), it was very convenient as it was freezing outside and so didn't want to venture out every night especially after being out in the cold all day. It's a good price for such a central location and we'd stay here if visiting again.

Very nice hotel one block off the main fussganger zone (walk platz street) in Wernigerode. The hotel is about 100-200 meters from Wernigerode's beautiful rathaus. We spent one night here (3 Jul 10) and happened to watch Germany stomp Argentina in the Worldcup semis in their bar/restaurant. What a beautiful thing that was! The room (we were in #104) was nice. Quite large and modern (but that was a bit disappointing as the previous pics I'd seen showed a lot of 1/2 timbering which I love). The bathroom was small but adequate and very clean/modern. It was very, very hot while we were there so the room was very warm at night even with both windows open. Not the hotel's fault -- just very hot weather. Parking was included for € 73.60 which also included € 3.60 for city tax. If we stay in Wernigerode again (not sure since we liked Quedlinburg better and it's maybe 30 kms east) we would definitely stay at La Rustica again. The staff were super nice. While no one spoke English (not a problem), we were able to communicate in our broken German. We didn't try their restaurant but the meals we saw being served looked delicious!

My husband and I stayed for two nights in the La Rustica. Upon arrival you were made to feel welcome and we were helped with our luggage up to our room, we found the staff friendly, helpful and very polite, our room was clean and tidy, a good breakfast was provided and we ate in the restaurant on both nights and found the food to be excellent and so was the service. We would recommend this hotel,the location is very central, but if you have walking difficulties the stairs in the hotel could be a problem.

Car park small and busy. dont take any debit/credit cards which after a few nights means you need to allow to have quite a bit of cash to hand. I was blown away with the property, it is a very historical but modernised building which rally is stunning. The outside terrace was lovely for a beer, and the restaurant is really professional. Staff were lovely, and the motorbikes could be parked right outside in plain view so very safe. Property is at the end of a long Avenued road and very private.
