The jacuzzi and sauna was perfect for relaxing and the standard of breakfast was outstanding

Ideally placed for a training day and good for shops and Chesterfield , the A61 and link to the M1. Parking was plentiful and beside the hotel. Reception were attentive and professional, and check in prompt . I was offered the choice of a shower or bath in my room and also a room on the quieter ( car park not A61) side of the hotel. Room is nicely decorated with kettle and coffee maker, milk and water in fridge. Additional extras like iron and ironing board, hairdryer , additional pillows and blankets ,safe and fridge. Bathroom good lighting and up lighters so not dazzling overnight. With wall mounted toiletries and heated towel rail. Free WiFi was to a good speed and TV worked ok once I had worked out the remote . Bar was comfortable and drinks not too expensive - with an sms offering 15% off my first drink. I had booked the restaurant for the evening , although it wasn’t busy- I’ve sometimes struggled to get a table in hotels before. Food ( a la carte)was very good and serving staff excellent, discrete and helpful with friendly pleasant manners . Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices continental , or hot buffet and cooked to order . Again serving staff were excellent . Everything was clean and in good working order and the extra large bed was exceedingly comfortable - I had a restful sleep and the hotel was quiet .

Attractively furnished, large room with a comfortable king-sized bed. Very well equipped with fridge, safe, iron, coffee machine etc. Excellent bathroom facilities for anyone with reduced mobility, with grab rails, flat access to the shower and a shower seat, all spotlessly clean. Also there was a low level sink. We stayed during a heatwave so the quiet air conditioning and complimentary bottled water were much appreciated. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We used the main restaurant on the first floor and the bar restaurant on the ground floor, both for evening meals; good service and excellent food at both venues. My husband had the lamb at the main restaurant and said it was exceptional. There were four large lifts to get between floors and a large, free carpark with plenty of disabled spaces. Casa Hotel is near main roads so easy to travel around the area and was very easy to find. You can't hear the traffic in the hotel. Very handy for Sheffield, where we were attending an event.

Exceptional hotel. Spotless clean, spacious room, very comfortable, nice view. Exceptional welcoming staff. Great facilities on site, breakfast, coffee,restaurant, bar. Great location, close to everything. You practically dont need to leave the hotel for any reason, highly recommended!

Reception was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was really comfortable. The shower was great with large clean white towels. We had dinner in the restaurant which was exceptional. Breaksfast choices were extensive and fresh.

Lovely hotel, on entering reception it smelt and looked lovely. Bar and restaurant very modern, clean and comfortable. All staff very welcoming. We booked a deluxe room which had a large bed which was very comfortable, sadly this was let down by the very uncomfortable pillows. Bathroom was modern with a ‘rain shower’ ( ladies remember a shower cap), only slight issue with mould around bottom of shower screen. Overall a very nice hotel and we would definitely stay again.

The hotel was so clean and well maintained. It smelt nice and was very lovely inside. It’s decorated to a high standard. We stayed in a spa room and it was spacious and very clean. The slight downside was the noise of the traffic outside and no air con in the room. However, a nice fan was provided. The coffee provided in the room was good quality. Breakfast was tasty. Toiletries in the bathroom were of good quality. Service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and offered to take our bags to the room. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel very clean, bathroom was great with large bath and shower, huge tv, large, comfortable clean bed, convenient free parking. Service was amazing, we left behind some boots in our room and the hotel contacted us and arranged for them to be posted to our home address, so huge thank you for that. Breakfast was plentiful but not the best tasting in our opinion and the coffee was awful. Would stay again for sure.

We had our wedding here in August 2025 and it was simply fabulous! We got married in the walled garden and garden ballroom which was stunning. We all stayed in the new part of the hotel and had no complaints at all, I got a bridal breakfast delivered to my suite (Cressida suite) and it was beautiful! The only thing that let the room down slightly was the air con, we got married on one of the hottest days of the year and the rooms were so warm, making applying makeup and having hair done a bit of a nightmare, plus keeping the flowers cool to prevent wilting! Nothing was too much to ask from the hotel & wedding team, a huge shout out to Jack who was our wedding planner, he is amazing and you will be lucky to have him play a part in your special day. The breakfast in the restaurant was fab & the food we had for our wedding breakfast & evening reception buffet was exquisite. Thank-you Wildes for making our special day perfect 💕

We are a disabled couple in our 60s and 70s. Traveled 5 hours to a family wedding. Originally, we booked the "Accessible Room". As we need Twin beds (as some disabled need) we changed to a different room, although the shower and bath were not accessible the access to the room was easy and the room itself was excellent quality and VERY clean. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted and directed to our room. The Bar and Restaurant staff were exceptional; we couldn't find any fault. Also, the quality of the food was excellent. Parking facilities were very convenient. The only one negative point is that there was no dip in the pavement for my wife's wheelchair to easily cross over. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay. We will definitely stay with you the next time we visit Sheffield.

A fabulous romantic weekend retreat. The hotel is really comfortable and very well appointed. We had a feature room with a wonderful view over the pond and gardens. The room was spacious and clean and there were plenty of comforts. The bedding is good quality and the bed was extremely comfortable (even if it was a little short for me). The toiletries were of a good quality. There was a safe in the room, along with hair dryer, iron & board, mini fridge (stocked). This will now be our little weekend bolt hole. Thank you for making us feel very welcome. Our only criticism was the shower tray looked a little bit grubby and could do with a refresh. This is the result of a poor finish during construction rather than a maintenance issue. Some extra cleaning and re sealing would solve this. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The food is delicious and very fresh. The bar is comfortable, well stocked and very cosy.

We went to The Peak Edge Hotel to celebrate an anniversary. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and check in was efficient and friendly. Our bedroom was beautiful, often when you see pictures of hotel rooms and then when you go it isn’t as beautiful……… our room was exactly like the brochure….beautiful! Every detail was carefully and thoughtfully done. The decor of the hotel is luxurious and special, sitting by the open fire in the bar was memorable. All the staff were professional and helpful, one staff member in particular made our stay even more special ……. Christine, thank you for the chats as you stoked the fire for us. It is staff like Christine that make a hotel a cosy place to be. The food at the in house Red Lion Restaurant was exceptional!!! Oh my goodness, make sure you don’t eat all day so that you can appreciate the delicious food at this beautiful restaurant. The flavours that they get out of their locally sourced ingredients are just amazing. The breakfast is also absolutely delicious. As you can see, we really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel, enjoying the staff, bedroom and food. Well done Peak Edge !!!

I recently came to the area with my girlfriend and we were looking for a nice place to have dinner for a date night. We drove past the peak edge hotel and thought we’d give it a try. It was fairly warm when we arrived so we sat outside, the view from the terrace is amazing, especially in the evening when the sun starts to set. Unfortunately we had to move inside as my girlfriend’s hayfever was getting bad (so nothing to do with the view or anything the restaurant could control!). The staff were really helpful and happy to move us after our starters, we had amazing food and great service. All the staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. We finished the evening with a little drink in the bar to round off our night of musical chairs! I’d definitely go back if I was in the area again, maybe even staying in one of their rooms for a night or two. Highly recommend this spot for a nice romantic date night! It was a little pricey compared to other places, but well worth every penny if you want good quality, food, drinks, views and service.

Not only was The Peak Edge located in the most beautiful spot, it was also an exceptional place to stay. We were upgraded from the Ashover to the Chatsworth Suite upon arriving, and the suite was absolutely stunning. Pros: - Great location - we went on one of the recommended woodland walks for 3 miles and it was gorgeous - Comfortable room and stay overall - Private garden space with comfy furniture was incredible, gave us the most of the weather! - Bathroom was incredible - Staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us - WiFi was free and worked perfectly, which helped as there was zero phone signal! - HIGHLAND COWS. That is all. - Food was phenomenal in the Red Lion restaurant attached to the hotel - breakfast was mega and the dinner we bought the night of was spectacular as well. Cons: - Water pressure in the shower could have been a little stronger. But this didn't really bother us. - ...That's really it.

We only stayed for one night and wish we'd stayed longer! We received a really warm welcome on arrival, both at reception and in the restaurant, and staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was stylish, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. These standards were matched throughout the bar, restaurant and reception areas too. As it was New Year's Eve, the restaurant was serving a special 8 course tasting menu, which was absolutely delicious (including good vegetarian options). We booked our stay to break up a long journey home after visiting family, so that we could relax and enjoy NYE instead of spending most of the evening driving, and it ended up being such a perfect way to both celebrate and get a good night's rest. I really hope we'll return in the future!

Spacious, clean and modern. Quiet too considering proximity to road. Small but functional shower room. Decent size TV, two armchairs, ample storage and large work/dressing table. Help-yourself buffet continental breakfast is laid out in lobby between rooms with kettle, tea, coffee, toaster, cereals etc. Friendly staff and excellent food in restaurant. Convenient location just 2 mins walk from town centre shops etc.

Our room was spotless, luxurious and extremely comfortable - it had a fabulous bed, bathroom and a bijou corner with beautiful easy chairs and coffee table. All furnishings were very high quality and we mustn't forget the coffee machine with loads of pods. Breakfast was great and the restaurant excellent, offering a delicious selection of meat, fish and vegetarian meals.There's private parking and the hotel central for all amenities and not far from the station. All staff were very warm and helpful - we stayed a week as we'd just moved house. One of the best hotel experiences we've ever had.

Stayed overnight as we was there to see Queen tribute at the Windmill Theatre which is just a 5 minute walk from there. Everything was perfect. Stayed in room 1 Loads of storage and so spacious. Bed was massive and clean with extra cover in the wardrobe. Shower was easy to use and lovely and hot. No facilities in the room for making hot drinks but just outside the room there’s everything you need to make hot drinks. Kettle and a coffee machine and a fridge with plenty of milk and fresh water bottles. Breakfast was continental that you help yourself to which was lovely. There’s a lovely modern dressing table and two comfy chairs in the room and large tv on the wall. Everything was spot on.

The Continental breakfast was set out on the landing. there was cereal, bread (toaster provided) fruit, danish pastries, fruit juice and milk were in a fridge along with bottles of water for the kettle, along with tea bags and granulated coffee, A coffee machine and plenty of clean crockery etc. It was lovely to just go outside our room door and get our breakfast and was able to make a cup of tea at any time. The check-in was quick. Our room was very comfortable and very clean, it had two armchairs which was very good as very often hotel rooms only have one armchair and a hard chair for the dressing table. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if staying around Chesterfield area.

Amazing place!! The owners have got this venue spot on. It has fantastic huge comfortable rooms all spotlessly clean. Staff really welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is a must, fabulous food, best steak ever! Conveniently situated for everything in the heart of Chesterfield Third time staying here and it won't be our last. 10/10

This is a real treasure find. Firstly, location is great, lovely area of Sheffield, over looking a park, lovely high street with restaurants, bakeries ( lots of) bars.. all lovely and up market.. now the hotel.. the room ( dovecote) was at the top.. light, airy, high ceilings, beautifully decorated like a bedroom , not a hotel room.. we sat on the sofa in front of the large Juliette balcony and watched the world go by.. everything was spotless, the staff brought us cake.. really.. we kept on commenting how relaxing it was.. unlike a hotel atmosphere… and how I’d like by bedroom at home to look like that!! The bed was very comfy, crisp bedding, gorgeous bath in the room, and amazing bathroom with thoughtful lighting. The staff was fab, friendly, welcoming and normal! Really…. I didn’t want to write a review and let the cat out of the bag about this place…. But…. Credit where credit is due. We will be back! Thank you!

Never stayed at a hotel that was so hospitable. Hotel staff constantly took care of us and anything we needed. They really treated us like family and brought us homemade pastries every morning that just made our day. We really appreciated our fridge was stocked with water and milk every day. The restaurant's food is amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The rooms on the top floor were perfect for our stay and had beautiful views of Sheffield. The staff was so helpful at helping me get around town and give me ideas on kid friendly activities around town. Love the location of the hotel as well. You're in walking distance to the Botanical Gardens and Endcliffe Park as well as the downtown boutique shops. Matthew recommended us to visit Graves Animal Park and that was only a 15 minute drive and perfect place for children.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean and it had everything one could ask for from such a hotel. In addition, the staff was very nice, polite, and helpful, and their hospitality was as it should be. A traditional and warm hospitality that is difficult to find nowadays, even in 5 star hotels. As an extra, every day, the team left a different home made cake in the room and all of them were very fresh and tasty. The restaurant on the ground floor had very nice food and a fun vibe. Overall, an excellent stay and I would highly recommend Brocco on the Park.

The 2 staff we spoke to were excellent - really helpful. Let us park earlier and even got us an early check in! Also recommended a restaurant for us (mowgli) which was delicious. The Prosecco and cake were lovely. The bedroom was very modern - good shower, comfy bed, heater in the room etc.

We loved how the public spaces were presented, lovely, light and nicely decorated. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size, the bed really comfortable, great bathroom and shower, quiet. Everywhere felt really clean. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Wonderful accommodation. Comfortable, clean, great atmosphere, beautiful location. Very good value for money. Excellent choice of breakfast...which was delicious. The owners are very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to engage with. I stayed for 2 nights and it was a very enjoyable experience. The attention to detail was spot on. Very well appointed and presented room, fantastic views, very comfortable mattress, lots & lots & lots of pillows, generally nice and quiet, good parking, very neat spacious and welcoming breakfast room, fantastic choice of breakfast options, friendly hosts. Location well nestled in the Peak District but close enough to shops, restaurants etc if you need them. If you need a haircut, the local barbers in Bakewell are excellent but be warned, they are often booked days or even weeks in advance! Would highly recommend.

The property was pristinely clean and the room was lovely and large. It felt very homely and comfortable to be in. Breakfast was delicious and considering the cost of the room with breakfast included, it was superb value for money. Given that it is a small business, we were pleasantly surprised how many breakfast options there were. Pauline and Trevor were very friendly and accommodating, communication was always clear and prompt. Eyam itself is charming and a great base to explore the rest of the area. It was wonderful to come back to somewhere so quiet after exploring the touristy places nearby. I’d love to return to stay someday.

Pauline and Trevor were very friendly and welcoming. It was very cosy and homely, with a comfy bed. Nothing was too much trouble from making up a flask and packed lunches to take out on our walks to providing extra tea and coffee. Lots of choice for breakfast in a lovely bright dining area. The surroundings were peaceful and stunning to look at. Lots of local places of interest to visit. We could come and go as we pleased, which was great! The Miners Arms Pub, which we booked for our evening meals was fantastic. Proper home cooked meals, decent prices and lovely staff.

Arrived approx 30mins before due time, which wasn't a problem for the hosts who were very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know, including a very generous breakfast time window. Our room was very clean and comfy, with plenty of tea, coffee and sugar. The king-size bed was very comfortable and, as there was no passing traffic after about 11pm, we had a very undisturbed sleep. The choice of breakfast was excellent, albeit we both chose full English which was plentiful and very nice. The location of the B & B was also excellent, within a short walk to the village pub.

The Norfolk Arms is right on the edge of the Peak District & offers glorious stunning views all round, only a short drive into Sheffield. It is a stunning hotel, great choice of local ales, restaurant offers a very nice menu, lovely atmosphere in the bar, restaurant & gardens, lots of walkers, cyclists & families, very much a hub of the area with plenty of parking! The staff were really welcoming, we booked four double rooms & all our the hotel rooms were extremely clean & comfortable, all of us would recommend a full English Breakfast (vegetarian full English too) it certainly set everyone up for their drive home on Sunday, breakfast is an additional cost but it was delicious. We would all recommend the hotel & we have already booked our rooms for our return visit in November looking forward to another enjoyable stay.

The Norfolk Arms location is perfect for a trip to Sheffield & exploring Derbyshire with unrivalled views. We use it whenever.we visit Sheffield as a relaxing stopover for it's comfortable rooms, great food & friendly staff. Our room was large with a comfortable bed, sofa & chair, fridge & tea & coffee. It was. spotlessly clean with a good sized bathroom & bath & shower Evening & breakfast menus offered a wide choice and good value.

Pulled up after a torrid day working in Sheffield and immediately began to relax. lovely location , lots of parking, beautiful stone building and very welcoming staff were my first impression. I’d booked a classic double room so wasn’t expecting much but how wrong I was. lovely room with the most beautiful view from the window. I’d booked a table in the bar for food - what a treasure of a bar!! Again the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food wasn’t overpriced. I ordered beef stew which was obviously cooked from fresh ingredients - just smashing. Back to my room for an early night ( torrid day ) and slept really well in a bed with lovely fresh bedding and plenty of thick comfortable pillows ( sadly lacking in some hotels ) Would highly recommend the Norfolk Arms.

Attended the Norfolk Arms for a retirement party and booked a room to stay over. Our stay at the Norfolk Arms was amazing, staff were very warm and welcoming, food is to a high standard and delicious. The bedroom was nice and spacious with a beautiful view from the window. Very comfortable bed slept very well. Breakfast there was a varied menu, English breakfast was delicious and filling. Would highly recommend anyone to stay, we will definitely go back and visit again.

Lovely location, we attended a wedding at the nearby willow brook hall (5 min drive away ) so perfect. We loved the style of the Norfolk Arms, cosy and welcoming. Allowed an early check in, rooms comfortable with a lovely powerful shower. Breakfast was amazing and the team very welcoming and friendly. Thank you

The room was easy to access from the lower car park, it was clean, plenty of space and a super comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and professional. We walked from the hotel around Ladybower reservoir and were allowed to park up earlier than check in time which was very helpful. Breakfast was substantial and very tasty, both the buffet and served cooked breakfast. Good menu choices. We were going to take bikes and wished we had because along the roads were ample bike paths so very safe and the rest of the bike trails were off road.

The room was a good size, as described and exactly what we where looking for. Two entrances, one from inside the Inn, and a second private entrance, opening out onto the quiet rear car park of the premises. If we ever stay here again I will certainly try to book room 15 again. Also loved the shower over the bath. I hate showers that have hardly any pressure and just dribble out. No such issue in our room, the water pressure was phenomenal. Wife wasn't keen but I loved it ! Room and beds where clean apart from one small exception (see frowny face part of review below) and well maintained, but only a nit picking issue and certainly wouldn't stop us from booking a stay here again. Breakfast had good selection. Coffee, tea, juices and cereals, and then a choice of cooked options. Only had the full English once during our four night stay, very filling and the black pudding was indeed worth its award. Only thing lacking was a selection of pastries, but again that would not deter us from staying there again. Didn't eat in the restaurant during our stay so can't really give an informed comment on the evening meals. All in all a great central location, literally five minuets walk to Ladybower Reservoir's south dam, to explore the Peak District from, and all at a very competitive price, offering in our opinion, great value for money.

Clean rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food absolutely delicious. Bar/restaurant areas very comfortable and relaxing. Good selection of ales and draught beverages. Plenty of parking.

I can recommend the steak & kidney pie and chips. Quality ingredients and home made. It was very well received. For breakfast there is the usual choice of cereals and fruit and yoghurts etc and teas, coffee and fruit juice. The full English breakfast was well prepared and set me up for a days walking. The bar prices are on a par with what I would expect to pay and there was a good choice of beers on tap. Very friendly atmosphere and never felt out of place. The bar itself was very clean and tidy and the staff couldn't do more to make you feel at home. If I was to be up this way again it would be my first choice to stay at.

The room was bright. Tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee making facility was good. TV was a good size. The room was spacious (would benefit from a low bench or luggage rack). The bathroom was bright and spacious with a good size bath and shower (water power was weak in the shower). Bathroom was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Jude(?) was lovely. We ate dinner in the restaurant and had a very nice meal. Staff were courteous and helpful. Prices were average. The restaurant had a nice rustic, vintage feel, with cosy nooks to sit in.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived right until we left. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room beautifully furnished , breakfast so tasty with a varied breakfast menu. We had a family dinner which was delicious. Would highly recommended this hotel/ restaurant/ bar.

We really enjoyed our stay! 😊 The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was excellent as well – it had soap, shampoo, shower gel, both a bathtub and a shower, and there was always hot and cold water. There is a bar nearby with music, but the room was completely quiet – the soundproofing is excellent. We also liked the thick curtains, which make the room completely dark when closed. The room had everything we needed: an iron with ironing board, a hairdryer, a kettle with different teas and coffee. Overall, the room looked very stylish and cozy. We were very satisfied with our stay and definitely recommend this hotel! 🌟

Lovely welcoming staff. Everyone was very friendly. Comfortable and very clean and well appointed room. Bathroom looked brand new. Good room tea & coffee choices with offer of fresh milk. Quiet. Great food and delicious breakfast. A great stay.

From the minute we arrived at reception, we were greeted with a smile and a lovely welcome. The room was perfect, clean, tidy and a good size. The bed was comfortable and it was just lovely. Dinner was amazing, very good for the price and breakfast was cooked to order. It says something when the lady that was on reception after our evening meal recognised us as we had been before. She told us she had been there 13 years and is now the assistant manager. She clearly loves her job and she is good at what she does. The staff were very polite, friendly and at the same time, very professional.

The welcome was genuinely warm and friendly, we were shown to our room in an adjoining cottage. The room itself was warm and comfortable, the style was exactly what you would expect of a country village inn. Comfortable bed, plenty of storage and the amenities needed were all provided, including tea & coffee, nice biscuits and some tasty sweets as a welcoming treat. The pub is old and beautiful - full of character, with a storied history; inside there was a great atmosphere with a mix of locals, residents of the inn, dog walkers and hikers. The staff were pleasant, informative and efficient, an excellent range of beverages including top quality locally brewed ales - Eyam Quarantine golden ale for me and Tempranillo Rosé for my wife. Dinner was very good, tasty, home cooked food, sensibly priced and not too pretentious, which so many pubs try to be. The young serving team were polite and efficient, the food and drinks arrived in good time. Breakfast was delicious, a small but adequate range of cereals and juice, plus hot beverages, toast and condiments. The full English breakfast was superb, we have never had a cooked breakfast served with everything so piping hot! All items were cooked perfectly and nicely presented in plated fashion. The selection was missing a hash brown or similar potato cake though! All in all, a lovely comfortable and relaxing stay.

The pub is a lovely village pub, when we arrived the parking was easy to find and plenty of it, the village is a lovely historic village and I loved that the pub kept a traditional feel with pictures and plaques dotted around the pub with details of the history of the building and village on. The room was a lovely size very clean, bed was comfortable, There was tea/coffee making facilities in room. The little packet of traditional sweeties left on the towels on the bed was a lovely touch. And the biscuits left were delicious. The shower was amazing! And breakfast in the morning was a huge hit. When we arrived the pub was very busy but the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The evening meal we had was absolutely lovely. the stay as a whole was a just 10/10 absolutely no complaints and we came away saying it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in the uk. The staff were fantastic and friendly throughout the whole stay. We even bumped into a lady who was working in the kitchen one of the afternoons and she was so incredibly friendly. The pub absolutely deserves to be a sell out every night. You can really see all the time and efforts they’ve put into running the pub as a team.

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and they were very accommodating in moving one of our rooms for us so we could be next to each other. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was a very good meal. The duck and the lamb were delicious! Again, they were very helpful in providing a meal not on the menu for my granddaughter. Breakfast was also very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful, and the drinks we had in the bar were lovely. Very knowledgeable and helpful bar manager when picking my gin! Fabulous stay.

Everything. The room was bright and clean. The bed was comfortable. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was excellent, compliments to the Chef. I had the lamb rump, which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the pie, which he said was delicious. The prices are good too. The breakfast is served hot and delicious, also cereals,juice etc. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Dogs are welcome in the restaurant.

Amazing stay for a one day business trip, the whole place, atmosphere, surroundings, value was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to assist and engage with everyone, Uber friendly and helpful. The hotel, bar, restaurant is amazing and the food is simply gorgeous. Highly recommend the continental breakfast, simply gorgeous!! The home made granola, just wow !! 😋😋 My room was labelled on booking.com as a "small double" I would love to see the size of a large double as the room I had was huge! Fresh coffee pods, tea, biscuits, still and sparkling water all available in my room with the added delight of the in room DAB radio playing when I checked in. 😍 Massive powerful shower and the added necessity of a large cooling fan (very much needed and appreciated) The bed was really comfy, a million pillows and cushions but all added to the aesthetics of the room. Would highly recommend for a one night or full week stay,

The George was a real suprise find. Right on the high street with parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My first impressions when I walk in was very swanky and how busy it was for a Mon. Check in was 3pm, but we could park as soon as we got there and went for a 4 hour circular walk. Which was absolutely stunning! Our room was fabulous, the Jane room. The theme of the hotel was Jane Eyre and was very fitting. The whole property was beautifully decorated. The Bar and restaurant were full in the evening. Can definitely recommend a pint of AMPM. We enjoyed sitting in the large Chesterfield seats in the back. A great selection on the menu. We had a pie dinner which was fab and filling. You got the feeling it was a favourite with the locals as well. Our room faced the road but was very quiet and beautifully decorated. Loved the teas and coffee selection and a bottle of water, all complimentary. The bath felt like a luxury after our walk. We sleep in very comfy beds and had a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Again a great selection. The butchers across the road is a must of a visit ! We would definitely go back!

The George, as a pub, is gorgeous. Wonderful décor with a mix of modern and classic. The location is great and it has parking. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The rooms were stunning, so nicely decorated, great size, great bathroom, clean, spacious. They had a kettle with very fancy tea in the bedrooms and a TV and radio too. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was incredible food, reasonable portions and great taste. The included breakfast was amazing, you have a choice from the menu and the portion sizes were also great. I'd 100% recommend staying at The George, it's such a lovely hotel and the food was worth the trip even if I wasn't staying there!

Welcoming friendly staff who were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is very modern, clean, rooms are huge and comfortable, just what is needed after a long day hiking. Don't bother going anywhere else for evening food as the menu has plenty of options and is great quality food. Breakfast was great. Had Room 16 - which was very smart and spacious. Will definitely stay again.
