Beautiful 5* hotel set in cliff top overlooking the Bay of Naples. Historic feel to hotel with terrrace restaurants looking out to sea leading to some great sunsets. Breakfast buffet is extensive and varied. Restaurant food quality is good and service excellent. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Small fitness room, good massage facilities and paid use of jacuzzi. Has its own beach area (more rocky than sand as is typical of this part of coast). Short walk into Sorrento itself (10-15 mins) also not far from train and bus stations.

This hotel Ambasciatori is one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. The staff Ermalinda and her team were so welcoming and helpful from the minute we arrived. They also made arrangements for us for our departure to Capri.,The hotel hangs over a cliff with beautiful views of the sea. The hotel has its own private beach club that you access from an elevator with lounge chairs, umbrellas and provides food and bar service. The beach club service was first class. There is also a pool area on the lobby floor with gorgeous gardens, statues, and an outside dining area with delicious food and impeccable service. The dining room breakfast buffet is outstanding with lot’s of variety and also has stunning views of the sea. We also dined for dinner and had a fabulous meal. It was moderately priced and not very expensive. We had a lovely sea view room with a large balcony. The bathroom had a delightful rain shower. It was a 15 minute walk to the town. We loved the hotel so much we barely left the hotel which is not in our nature. We stayed in four other five star hotels over 3 weeks from Capri, Positano to the Almafi Coast and this one was the most outstanding.

This hotel is amazing! All the staff are polite, efficient, friendly, always there to help in any way possible. The junior suite I booked was spacious, beautifully furnished with a massive comfortable bed, large bathroom with lovely toiletries, balcony with view over the bay and Vesuvius and a huge television with many international channels. We had half board, so after a plentiful and tasty breakfast, we had a snack on the “beach” during the afternoon and enjoyed a delicious dinner in the outside restaurant overlooking the bay. I had booked a trip to Pompei one afternoon, which was all arranged by the hotel, private transportation and guide included - both were perfect. Special thanks to Ms Ermelinda De Simone at Reception, with whom I organised the whole stay, and who has been so helpful, efficient and kind.

We loved this hotel. First, location is great. It’s on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples and the views are amazing. It is a short walk into the old section of town, but enough out of the way to be quiet. The lobby and grounds are beautiful with many cozy places to sit. Service, from the front desk to the waiters, was excellent. We booked a Junior suite and it was a very nice size with a couch and a great view from a small balcony. Room has Nespresso maker and a fridge. Bathroom was very spacious with 2 sinks, separate bath and shower. Breakfast is included and is exceptional. There are some hot choices, and an omelette station, beautiful fruit, cheeses, meats, breads, and more pastries than I’ve ever seen at a breakfast buffet. We had drinks one evening overlooking the sunset and service was great there as well. There is a pool, and then an area down by the water to lounge. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel overall, we had a great time. Very quiet and very clean. Room was perfect size and very clean. Could hear the rumbling of the elevator from the room, but muffled enough to not impact sleep. Otherwise very quiet. Breakfast had the usual options, very good quality. Sea / jetty area was clean and the sun loungers were comfortable. The staff at reception was extremely helpful with recommendations and sorting things out. Staff by the jetty not so much, helpful when asked but won’t come by at any point to ask if you need anything or collect stuff. Location is stunning and overall the hotel is amazing. Mainly families and couples staying, but it felt very quiet even mid August.

The room was fantastic with a jacuzzi on the balcony and an amazing view. The breakfast was great with lots of options and a great view.

The staff , location and our room in the garden was fab , you need to be organised with all you need when going out for the day and fit as there’s lots of steps to get to get to your room , but loved the jacuzzi in the garden .

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. We loved everything about it, location, rooms, food (we were B&B only) and of course the amazing views. We stayed in a room with a balcony and a jacuzzi and this made for magical views of the Marina Grande and the town both day and evening. The rooftop pool was just the right temperature , clean, and always had sun beds available to soak up not just the sun but those views again. Lastly I must praise the friendly, helpful and efficient staff , for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Magnificent views over Sorrento.Fantastic free hourly shuttle bus from the front reception into Sorrento. Swimming pool in our villa block, with jacuzzi and relaxing sun-beds. Our room had panoramic views. Breakfast was fabulous catering for every pallet.

Stayed here in a sea view room on the 5th floor with the best view of the bay of Naples. Each room also has a shower or jacuzzi bath on the balcony. Our bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi bath in the window to enjoy the view. It wasn’t working on the first night but was quickly fixed. The hotel is a maximum of a 20 min drive into town which is provided by the hotel, well worth it for the peace and quiet from Sorrento centre. My only negative would be to have black out curtains, they were thick but not enough for that early morning sun. Breakfast has an amazing selection of items. Ate at the hotel a couple of times and it was ok, obviously drinks and food are hotel prices! Having said that most of Sorrento is! Staff were very helpful throughout. Pool area is clean, gardens are beautiful.

Property is gorgeous but it is not in town. There is a hotel shuttle that runs every hour and takes you about 5 min walk to center, so you can’t just pop out to stroll around. The trade off is the view. It’s spectacular, it really takes your breath away. The pool is very nice but it closes at 7, I think because they have diners staying to seat at the restaurant which overlooks the pool. The breakfast was amazing and top notch, and it was included for us. Beautiful bar, the staff at the bar seemed a teeny bit put off but all other staff was incredible. Housekeeping especially. We ate dinner once and the food was delicious. We sat at 9 and we were one of the last people to eat, so it shuts down pretty early. We did order room service the first night and it was great, and very quick. They upgraded up to a better room with a jacuzzi which was nice. Our kids thought it was amazing.

If you are looking for hotel in Sorrento with a view to the city and the sea you have got to the right place. Located above the city, with a stunning view, this hotel is just all you need. Private parking!!! don't underestimate this. We got a room as we booked, with a sea view. It was more a mini suite than a room and as it was located on the far right side of the hotel corner, it had an amazing huge balcony, with an outdoor jacuzzi and of course a breathtaking view. If you like the view you'll have the same from the dining room, where great and rich breakfast is served. The hotel is offering a frequent free shuttle down to the town center and back, but take the map from the reception and follow at least once the advice we got to walk down. On the map is "short cut" is marked. it is actually an amazing road down hill, through the agricultural terraces, where car are not allowed to drive. it is 20-30 min easy walk but a great experience. The hotel offer spa services, that we didn't use, but we saw the spa and it looks good.

Amazing panoramic views from room (superior sea view), piano bar, rooftop terrace and restaurant.. Room was spotless, comfortable, spacious, nice bathroom amd shower and balcony with stunning view of sorrento and vesuvius. Lunchtime food in pool snack bar was excellent and menu for evening meal looked lovely although we didnt have the opportunity to eat there. The hourly free shuttle bus to and from the town was excellent, punctual and a godsend considering the hotel is located high up on a cliff overlooking sorrento with a winding road which would be too dangerous to walk and a taxi is €30 one way!. Breakfast choice was vast and liked the egg bar for fresh omelettes, poached, boiled and fried. Hotel staff friendly. courteous and helpful. Food and drink very reasonably priced for a 4 star hotel

This is an excellent location. The whole property is clean and quiet. Our room was large and clean, jacuzzi worked well, and AC was quiet and effective. There is a nice terrace on the 2nd floor. Railway and bus stations are literally steps away and restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

The location is perfect, a two minute walk from Piazza Tasso and the historic centre. It was also about 100m from the train station so easy access for daily excursions. The hotel reception is staffed 24/7, the staff are cheerful, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very clean with floors finished in lovely ceramic tile in shades of blue, white and azure. Typical continental buffet breakfast is included: fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, coffee, tea, lovely Italian pastries and cakes as well as the usual bread and croissants. Room had all of the amenities expected: TV, WiFi, toiletries, hair dryer, wardrobe space, suitcase rack, shelves, a desk, generous night tables on either side of a comfortable bed. Our room even had a mini balcony with a cafe table and two chairs.

Hotel Nice is located about 50 meters from the train and bus station in Sorrento. The hotel is absolutely fantastic steps away from the Main Street where all the restaurants and bars are located. The room that we had faced the main street and had a nice balcony with a table and two chairs. The room is a decent size, but the shower is fairly small but doable. The bed was soft and comfortable with very nice pillows. We got upgraded to a free continental breakfast which consisted of croissants, cheese, fruit, cold cuts and numerous other delectable items, plus a variety of fruit juices. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful giving suggestions where to visit and eat. The housekeepers do a great job cleaning the rooms. The negative, no mini fridge in the room. The positive, everything is in walking distance. I would like to give a big thank you to Giulio and Francesco for always giving us sightseeing tips. Thank you to Grazia in the breakfast room for your warm welcome in the mornings. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location 5 minutes walk from station and the main square. Room was comfortable and great bathroom with very good shower. Free safe Spotlessly clean and towels changed after 2 days. We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, final day being a wedding at Cloisters! This is perfect for a 3 night get away! It’s nothing “fancy” but it’s clean, fantastic location literally a very short 5 min walk to the main square (which is just fabulous), directly in front of bus station yet not affected by it, restaurants and shops close by! It’s immaculate! So clean! Fresh white sheets! Clean towels daily, and lovely lovely staff, I honestly don’t think they sleep 🤣 Breakfast was in basement and again basic but nice enough in a quaint little room, lovely coffee! Totally recommend this hotel, perfect name “nice” 🤩

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel! Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The room had been recently renovated - it was modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was so clean and well-maintained. We also received coupons for complimentary welcome prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The room had a stunning view over the town, which made our stay even more special. Despite the large number of tourists in Sorrento, the hotel felt very calm and quiet - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was excellent, with a big variety of food and drinks to choose from. The location is amazing - just a short walk from Sorrento’s main attractions, and very close to the central station. It’s super convenient for catching a bus to the airport, Amalfi, or Positano, and for taking a train to Naples. Highly recommended!

This property was fabulous to stay. The hotel is very clean, modern & the staff, every single one of them was very friendly & courteous. The free breakfast is delicious & served in a giant ballroom type setting with something for everyone. Italian bacon, scrambled eggs, great bread for toast, pastries, danishes, Italian cold cuts, cheese, delicious fresh fruit & of course great coffee & even pancakes. The AC was ice cold & we had a balcony with a view of the mountains. The rooftop dining was awesome. The waiter was great. The views of the ocean are spectacular & great for pictures, the only negatives about this hotel are the parking, which is located underneath, around the back of the hotel via a small entry but if lot is full, they will take your car & park it in a different lot. Parking is 25 euro/day. Also the lack of power outlets in room & no exhaust fan in bathroom. Other than that it is very close to the main Piazza Tasso but just far away for a little peace & quiet, great for families/couples. When I return to Sorrento, we will definitely be staying at this hotel. suggest half board which includes dinner. Everyone can order an appetizer first and a second, I had the fresh mozzarella & tomato salad which was out of this world, spaghetti & clams & sliced steak over arugula. All three were mouthwatering. We did not use the pool, which is also located on the rooftop, as well as a rooftop bar with ice cold beer. Ciao!!!!

Central location and a 2 minute walk from the train station. This hotel exceeded our expectations, we stayed for 3 nights half board. On arrival we were welcomed by warm and friendly staff who gave us a free upgrade to the 4th floor with a sea view. Our room was modern and bright, with a great waterfall shower. The room had everything we needed with tea and coffee facilities, optional mini too for an extra fee. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast choice was one of the Best I’ve experienced in Italy and was very well managed. Our half board evening meals was to a high standard with plenty of choice, we never had a bed meal while at the hotel and all waiting staff was very professional. Pool was lovely, with fresh clean towels provided. Rooftop bar was lovely for a sunset drink. We will be visiting Sorrento next year and we’ll definitely be choosing the same hotel again. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk to the main centre of Sorrento. The hotel staff are all warm and welcoming, in particular the young lady who was on the bar upstairs during the day and downstairs on an evening (I’m so sorry we didn’t get your name but you looked after us so well especially my mum and baby on the nights I was away at a wedding) The new upgraded rooms are modern and clean, we were lucky enough to be upgraded for free. Views are fantastic from the roof. Cocktails are beautiful from the downstairs bar. Breakfast is lovely and was more choice than expected! There was a microwave in the area so I could sterilise my baby bottles, which was super helpful! One day my baby was still asleep and the manager gave me some takeaway cups for coffee to take back to my room.

Firstly it is a centrally located hotel so you have to accept some inevitable traffic noise but it wasn’t overly intrusive. A room to the rear overlooking the gardens is probably your best bet to minimise it. The hotel interior is modern and clean. The rooms are spacious and the showers are great. Aircon was also very good. The roof top pool/bar area is brilliant and a great place to end the day before heading out to dinner. The hotel is the perfect place to explore Sorrento, close to bars/restaurants and a short walk to the coast/beech. We arranged 3 trips and the meeting points were all within a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff were all polite with big smiles and couldn’t have been more helpful. There is a rule of no food/drink in your rooms from outside the hotel but we took some drinks and snacks into the room without an issue (just don’t take the @@@@). Highly recommended - we had an amazing time there.

We stayed 3 nights in the Bellavista suite. Pristine accommodations with excellent washer and dryer. The terrace was large and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Gorgeous views and impeccable service.

Everything is amazing at this hotel. The room is like an apartament, the balcony with jacuzzi and the view is totally breathtaking the bathroom and shower are relaxing breakfast also amazing and the staff… I have no word for staff… all of them amazing and very helpful, always happy and smiling. For sure we will be back to Positano and Eden Roc.

I did a lot of research to find the perfect hotel for our honeymoon and Eden Roc is THE view of positano! Eden Roc is a beautiful property about 12min walk up/down to the beach. We stayed in a room with the balcony jacuzzi and it was worth the splurge to sit outside and take in the view. The staff at Eden Roc are top notch, Pascal at the front desk became our new friend and Tony at breakfast was always fun. The steak at Roc restaurant was unbelievable. Top notch experience.

We stayed with my family and we were upgraded to the most beautiful villa we ever stayed in! The villa has so many rooms to enjoy as well as the beautiful garden with a large jacuzzi!! My kids were so excited! I also want to especially thanks to Pascal who showed us outstanding hospitality that made our stay even better. The view from the hotel is amazing too. We strongly recommend this hotel😊😊

I’m here to rave about Il Costeria, the bar at Hotel Bellevue Syrene. It wasn’t listed so I have to write this review under the hotel, but we had the best dinner on the bar terrace. We weren’t able to get into the terrace restaurant and our hotel recommended we book at Il Costeria which has the exact same view and they were so right. It’s a smaller plates menu but you can have amazing cocktails, dinner or light bites and watch the amazing sunset. Hopefully this little secret won’t blow up like the restaurant but I did want to share for those wanting the view experience at Bellevue!

Our stay at the Bellevue Syrene was perfect for our visit to the Amalfi Coast. From the first greeting of, "Welcome home", we felt so taken care of. The General Manager, Claudio, and his staff treated us like family, greeting us warmly every time we came into view. We stayed in the beautiful Audrey Suite with three different outdoor spaces including one with a plunge pool/hot tub. It was a a spectacular way to watch sunsets over the Bay of Napoli. Amenities included a breakfast room with expansive views and live piano music, a full buffet, and an impressive menu selection. We also enjoyed small savory and sweet bites along with wine, soda and coffee throughout the day in the lounge. The Concierge, Francesco gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, helped us hire a car for the day, and spent time answering our questions about the area. And Claudio gave us a private tour of the grotto that serves as the hotel's wine cellar, We enjoyed the art and artifacts throughout the hotel and its property. Though we were there a little early in the season for the beach, we did go down to the water to see the grottos and cabanas and the private beach looked lovely. The hotel is beautiful. The location is world class. And the staff is overflowing with genuine hospitality. We highly recommend a stay at the Bellevue Syrene.

Everything is perfect in Bellevue Syrene. the staff is the most kind I have ever seen. The building is beautiful, very well decorated, clean and inviting to relax. the rooms are comfortable, sparkling clean, plenty of amenities and of course the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean and the Vesuvio. perfect place for couples! The city is pretty and offers many wonderful options to eat and drink, besides the amazing views and beautiful ancient constructions to see. I wish I could stay longer. I definitely recommend!

My wife and I went for a few days trip to Amalfi coast and stayed here for 3 night. The hotel is 5min walk from the center and the old city with good reaurants within 1min walk. The whole experience from the check-in to check out was incredible. The staff was helpful in any way I can imagine. They , per our ask, recommended restaurants and reserved for us. Booked us a driver to Positano and to Napoli. They were very attentive to all our needs. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices in the buffer us omletes to order. Rooms are beautiful, big with high ceiling, huge mirrors and very clean overlooking the bay. The hotel provides free lounge with food and drinks including soft drinks, wine, prosecco and alcohol in the evening which is super nice. We took benefit of it every evening to relax before dinner. Definitely recommended and when we come to this region will stay again. To the staff, thank you for all your help.

My wife and I visited this lovely hotel at the end of October and we couldn't have been happier. Check in was swift. Staff was very friendly and most accommodating. Our view from our room was spectacular. I'm not 100% what the hotel capacity was, however it didn't appear super busy and would have been nice if we could have been upgraded, but not going to quibble too much. Our bed was very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and good sized. The artwork on property is wonderful and the common areas are warm and inviting. Morning breakfast was lovely and the piano during breakfast was soothing. The hotel was within walking distance to everything...quick and easy. I will definitely consider Bellevue Syrene for our next stay to Sorrento.

Hotel bar was closed which was disappointing but they made up for it with the free welcome drinks, breakfast, and wine tasting. Gorgeous balcony views and jacuzzi tub.

We booked a king bed suite with jacuzzi on deck with beautiful views of the water and cliff side. Room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and the coordinated our off-site parking for $70 euro. The outdoor deck could use some maintenance in terms of hot tub maintenance, deck boards loose, ant control, etc. Overall nice, quiet, relaxing 1 night stay in Positano.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during the last leg of our honeymoon July 2025. We had an amazing time at this hotel and they are deserving of 5 stars! We had a beautiful room that overlooked the port and had a jacuzzi on the balcony and the staff treated us like royalty. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Positano. Also the restaurant was amazing as well!

This hotel was in a great location in Positano, as well as had some of the best views! The staff was very helpful. Our room was upgraded and absolutely beautiful views with jacuzzi. The property was very clean, and the facilities and amenities were very nice. The welcome drink on arrival was a sweet touch. Breakfast every morning was delicious, especially with the view. There were nightly happy hours, and little treats left on door at night which were really nice touches. They helped us organize our transport from Naples to Positano. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and will definitely love staying here on my next trip to Positano!

Hotel California was so accommodating with our car and arriving early. The room was quite large, and the view from the little balcony amazing. It was a short walk down to the beach, other restaurants and bars, with great views the whole way. The hotel bar was open pretty late, which made sitting on the terrace with views of the mountain and beach even better, especially as the sun went down. Breakfast was great, I'd recommend a coffee up the street as opposed to the machine one, but other than that, no complaints. The staff were always helpful with our requests. Would definitely stay here again!

The room has a bed, lamp, armoire you can lock and inside a safe you can lock. Double doors protect you from wind and sound. A small tv is in the room as well. The best was the view. I had the private porch, same level as the reception - far end corner of hotel. Private patio near the breakfast place so I did not have to eat with other guests. My view of the terrace houses and ocean were beautiful. Look at this as an old family grand home. You will not stay in the room long, Positano is a great town for walking exploration. The beach is near, you can catch a ferry nearby to Capri/Amalfi. Bruno's restaurant is just next door. Linen shops Illidio and Peppito's were my favorite. Perfect for coming "home" to after a long day of travel. If you are looking for the Hilton don't come here. If you want cozy, personal, boutique experience with the best view then yes. The hotel staff made me breakfast when I did not want continental. They even found me an adapter to charge my phone. I am coming back with family. This was the hotel from The movie "Under the Tuscan Sun". I did not stay in the famous room from the movie, but my quality was what I needed as a solo traveller. I keep replaying in my mind the scenery from my room/private area.

Upon arrival the staff where very attentive and accommodating. The views from this hotel are absolutley breathtaking. The room is simple but very well maintained and clean. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Maria who was lovely and very accommodating. The location of this hotel is perfect. Close enough to the town center and beach but far enough up to take advantage of the amazing views. We were lucky enough to stay in room 60 which is on the 3rd floor and and can't even begin to explain the views. My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Positano and we could not have picked a better location or hotel. Thank you to Maria and her family for being so great and helping us celebrate this milestone.

We travelled by local bus from Amalfi to Positano which was only €2 each, we were quoted €70 by taxi. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the bus stop which was great. On arrival at the California hotel we were offered a complimentary drink by Carmella one of the owners, she was so friendly. The hotel is family run and only has 15 bedrooms. We were upgraded to our surprise to a another room it was amazing with views across Positano bay. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location to the beach, shops, restaurants and the port. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hotel California. We are a family of 4 & after some confusion about the booking we were settled into a 3rd floor room with a balcony. The room was comfortable& had amazing views of Positano. The staff of the family run hotel was helpful, professional, & friendly. All of the recommendations for dinner around Positano were good. The hotel is conveniently located on a main street in Positano. Just about a 10 minute walk down to the beach & not located high up on the cliffs in Positano.

Loved the hotel room. We paid for the panoramic views with the balcony on the 3rd floor. Amazing views of the sea and square. Sound of the waves every night and morning. The pool was refreshing, saline water. The jacuzzi was amazing. Staff were friendly. Towels and slippers provided. Also, beach towels. The reception staff were wonderful.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it has a warm swimming pool and Jacuzzi which can be used even when the weather is cold and you can still enjoy the resort in full. The shuttle is a great service and from the Vico Eqeunse, the very cheap train with a good schedule can take you to almost all attractions. The reception is the most excellent part. The entire reception especially Anna and Valentina are not only very friendly and professional, but also they really care and it feels like the whole staff is doing their best to make you a memorable stay in their resort.

Amazing resort, located near Marina d'Aequa, at the foothill of Vico Equense, a picturesque village on the Amalfi coast. The hotel is beautiful and quiet, with most of the rooms having sea view. The Spa area has breathtaking views over Naples and the Vesuvius and includes several heated and ambient temperature swimming pools, a jacuzzi, sauna and Kneipp trail. The access to the Spa area was free of charge. The private beach is large, with sunbeds and umbrellas, all free of charge. Sandy areas alternate with those with pebbles, so aqua shoes might be a good idea. Breakfast was very good, with a great variety of food and drinks. Coffee was served a la carte and it was really good. The staff was kind and welcoming, we really appreciated the service. Rooms were spacious and bright. They were cleaned every day, our towels were changed, toiletries supplies were refilled. We had the perfect holiday, with excellent service, great location and amazing views! Definitely a place where we would come back.

We were in the area for work and took a couple days extra to relax and enjoy fall on the Amalfi Coast. We were so lucky to find Hotel & Resort Le Axidie, it checked all the boxes and exceeded expectations. The resort has a private beach, swimming pool, and outdoor heated pools that are just beautiful. The bar and beachside bistrot are always staffed and ready with drinks, snacks, and lunch. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The cleanliness is amazing and the fragrance everywhere makes you feel like you're in the tropics. Views are unbelievable, the Vesuvius is right in front of your eyes, towering over the sparkling blue bay of Naples. Food was excellent, the fabulous breakfast buffet complete with eggs and bacon, as well as the gourmet restaurant, both rooftop so with the ultimate vista. A shuttle is available to take guests into the town of Vico Equense. For a change of scenery there are a couple of restaurants and a cocktail bar just outside of the resort property. We highly recommend Hotel & Resort Le Axidie for your next Amalfi Coast vacation!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay! I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The location was perfect – close to everything but still peaceful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

After a somewhat hair-raising drive from Naples, we were warmly welcomed by Claudia. Claudia and her colleagues were wonderful throughout our stay. Always welcoming, happy to advise on activities, would remember and check the following day how we'd got on, booking tours and fixing any problems - witnessed them going above and beyond to resolve a problem for another guest with a lost item in a previous hotel. Everyone we met there had good English. The rooms are clean and comfortable - some of the kitchen items were brand new and unused. It was perfect for a good value three-star but may seem a little basic for people expecting more. The views were amazing - you can sit on your balcony, at the restaurant or by the pool with views of Capri and the Bay of Naples - watching the boats or the sunset. I believe all the rooms have the same view; the angle for the view of Capri is better closer to reception, bar and swimming pool. It was a good location for us to drive to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento and Capri - I think would be difficult to do with children without a car. Wifi was 3 euros/day or 15 euros/week for unlimited devices and it worked really well in all areas - at times better than home! The pool is unheated and so was cold in early April but that didn't stop our children! It could be cleaner but they were cleaning each day and we believe it only opened for the season the day we arrived. A really enjoyable holiday and would recommend.

The view of the ocean and the Island of Capri were gorgeous. This was a really nice hotel with a very nice pool, which the kids loved. Great hotel for kids/families. The restaurant was great - we ate outside overlooking the view and the sunsets. The Pizze de Gocce was delicious - cheese, sweet onions and bacon. Reasonably priced compared to other spots in Sorrento. They had these awesome gelato truffles for dessert - highly recommended, I wish I had tried more of them. The room was great in terms of space, and we really enjoyed the patio. It had pretty basic furnishings, but was comfortable enough. The staff was great - very helpful and friendly. I didn't realize when I booked it how far it was to Sorrento proper, and it cost $50 euro for the car transfer. If you are looking to explore Sorrento itself, this may not be for you. But it was a great and beautiful place to relax, enjoy pool, and look out at the view.There was also a little town a 10 minute walk away with a nice view, bar/gelateria, and restaurant.which we enjoyed walking too. You could also take lots of hikes and there was a beach a bus ride away.

Residence Gocce Di Capri has to be experienced to believe! My mother, sister and I stayed for 5 days in September 2014. The apartments are spacious, clean and comfortable with modern romanesque decor. The Hotel appartments sit high in the hills of Massa Lubrense which overlook the Gulf of Napoli and the Island of Capri. The grounds are beautifully kept with archways of vines and a variety of flora that cover the walkway from the apartments to the restaurant, open bar and swimming pool. Our experience was incredible - we were lavishly attended on by the most generous, helpful and friendly staff. They really went all out to make certain our experience is unfogettable. We came by bus so they picked us up from the stop to bring us (with our luggage) to the hotel. The nearest townsquare is 500m away and the walk there also delivers breathtaking views of the Gulf. The town square is very quaint - equipped with a lookout, lively locals and a limonchello tasting gallery. We absolutely loved this place and would recommend it for both families and couples. The sunsets are heavenly and the apartments are private so the your view of the Gulf is uniquely your own!

A bit secluded and hard to find, but absolutely gorgeous with one heck of a view. Before we arrived, the staff knew us by name and made our stay extremely comfortable while we were there. The cozy little apartment had a fantastic view of Capri and the Sorrento coast and the pool, bar, restaurant, and all ammenities provided by the hotel were top notch. Getting to nearby tourist attractions, beaches, diving, etc. easy enough once you get the bus schedule down. Would definitely recommend for any romantic getaway, what a value.

The GPS had a little trouble pinpointing the hotel's location, although it did get us to the right street, just not the right end! We travelled as a family of 5 and were given a spacious 2 bedroom apartment,with a kitchen, bathroom + ensuite and a fabulous balcony complete with table, chairs and deck chairs overlooking Capri and a view to Naples. The on site pool was fabulous and we ate dinner at the restaurant both nights we were there, although you could buy groceries and do your own meals if you chose. All staff were friendly and helpful and it was like being at a resort rather than the next stop of our Italian trek. We were pleased to have stumbled on this location, which is set in a village on the hills above Sorrento, as it was a relaxing 2 night stopover after the hustle and bustle of Amalfi. It is a good base for a day trip to either the island of Capri or a visit to Pompei. We would recommend this hotel for couples and families alike.

The rooms were simply fantastic! The jacuzzi in it was the cherry on top!!

Read reviews about this hotel and was a bit unsure on booking due to some of the reviews. We decided on location, tranquility ,private beach ,pool , sea view with balcony and free shuttle bus into Sorrento so ticked all the boxes and went ahead with the booking . Two nights into our holiday would be my 60th birthday so would give us a bit of time to find a nice restaurant to book for a meal .staff at reception very friendly check in no issues room as expected on reading reviews great view sonly negative our balcony had a pillar that runs up through the middle of it ,two chairs one side and the table on the other (room 226) . Staff at breakfast very friendly helpful and welcoming , bar staff also friendly smiling and very helpful , free clean towels at pool side daily and enough sun loungers available . Room cleaned daily with fresh towels loo roll bed sheets couldn’t fault this service. We only ate at breakfast due to wanting to eat out at lunch and dinners at different restaurants . We never used the shuttle as we enjoyed the local bus into Sorrento daily €2 . We are 100% going back to this hotel next year once we find the best way to book our room with a sea view again but not room 226.

We were sceptical after reading reviews, we arrived and was upgraded to Seaview room, I agree that somethings could be abit modern but added to charm and didn't bother us, the cleaners came in everyday and left room clean and refilled things for us, a couple of ladies and a man at front desk was always helpful and friendly, we didn't drink really down at bar but bar staff always waved or smiled and was pleasant and friendly, the shuttle bus was a really good system for trips and to get into sorrento, you have to book at front desk and pick a time to go and to leave sorrento trips the shuttle bus always was there waiting for you to get off trip bus always organised, and finally the food, my wife was abit more picky but always found something to eat and I loved the food we both enjoyed all the desserts the staff are really a credit to hotel like the other staff they make the hotel, they knew your room number remembered what you liked to drink had a laugh and carry on with us and was always polite friendly and fun I would definitely stay at this hotel again, it's getting some renovation but pool cleaned daily, life guard always hard working the sea is beautiful bring some water shoes as it's rock beach we bought some but seen a few people struggle to get into the water , views and sunsets is unbelievable and we sat on a night and played cards and listened to the entertainment amazing hotel from our point of view well done all staff at this hotel.

Excellent hotel in a great location with pool, private beach and lovely food. Reception team very friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. Rooms are huge, beds comfortable, lovely balconies over pool and beach. Pool open from 9am is nice but runs alongside restaurant so expect an audience! Beach also nice. Breakfast outstanding, great mix of hot food like scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and potatoes, smoked salmon, fruits, yoghurt, loads of patisserie items and breads. Didn't have dinner there so can't comment, but based on breakfast, I'd guess it is good but seemed pricey at 40 Euros for full buffet. Also a free shuttle bus into and out of Sorrento. Lovely place to stay. Two quibbles - water for showers only warm not hot on all bar one occasion, and no kettle in room which they provided upon asking, though it wasn't until the third attempt that they provided one that worked! TOP TIP: Visit Dal Ceppone pizza restaurant for dinner, only 10 minutes walk away. Two big and lovely pizzas, a bowl of hot fries big enough for two, litre of water and large Peroni for under £10 each. Crazy value and good quality.

We had a wonderful week over Easter at Mar Alimuri with our three adult daughters and loved the hotel. The rooms were incredibly spacious and very clean, with huge, comfortable beds - and the balcony with sea view was extra special. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent - plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner and the staff were delightful - friendly and helpful, and so attentive - when they discovered our family loved fruit we were treated to a large platter every evening! It was really pleasant to sit on the sun loungers by the beach, and enjoy the dramatic cliff setting, or take the shuttle bus into Sorrento - such a lovely, helpful driver (tip: book at reception the night before). The train station at Meta is a very steep, but only 15 minute walk away, giving access to Pompeii, Herculaneum or Naples, although the only negative about our holiday was the erratic public transport, which also gets very crowded. This area is such a great base for discovering the Amalfi coast as well as all the cultural sites in the region - we'd love to return.

Well looked after and very clean boutique hotel. Staff were very friendly, but not all spoke english which made some communication a little difficult. We were given a great, spacious room on the top floor with a wonderful private balcony. The air-conditioning didn't always work though.. Had to call reception who seemed to have the control to turn it on/off. Luckily we weren't there in the heat of summer. The jacuzzi was also unavailable for use until June. Parking is available on site for 35 euro per night for a medium sized car. This was quite handy as public parking garages in the area were quite difficult to get to. The hotel is located on the top of the town.. To get into Positano you need to catch a local bus, the stop is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel do offer a free shuttle service to and from, but are not always available to do so. Wifi is not free and very expensive per day charge. A very basic free breakfast is served in the room. Other items are available, but is quite expensive. Room service has a 20 euro fee for any orders.. there are only a couple of restaurants nearby. Beware of using their phone. We made a 20 min local call which cost 30 euro on check out. The rate of the call was not discussed prior to connection of the call nor were the rates documented anywhere in the menu. You need to leave your hotel key at reception everytime you leave the hotel. We were given the incorrect room key on one occassion- not sure how safe that system is

This is a small, private family-run hotel with possibly the best views in Positano. It's perched high up on the steep hills that are so characteristic of this beautiful city. On first we impression, we were wary of the location - it does require a bit of navigating the steps that bring one to the beach and main center. However, this part is also what made our stay amazing. Beautiful restaurants nearby, away from the main tourist drags, little food shops down the block. And the view from our gorgeous tiled room is indescribable. Excellent place for a romantic trip. The daily breakfast served to us on our private balcony was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!

This hotel was great! It was located at the TOP of the hill overlooking Positano, which gave us an amazing view from our balcony, where we had our breakfast every morning and a drink every night. It is located at the TOP of the steps to the beach, which were strenuous in the heat. It was probably around 1000 steps to the water. But the bus was cheap and there was a bus stop 500 feet from the hotel, so that worked out well. Breakfast was fresh and brought to your room, and staff was helpful and courteous. Recommend!

We stayed for 6 nights. Before I arrived, I wrote numerous times to the hotel asking questions about anything and everything about the hotel and Positano and its vicinity. Diego replied promptly every time and answered everything to my utmost satisfaction. When we were there, the staff couldn't be more helpful, from arranging private car service for sightseeing to making excellent restaurant recommendations and reservations. The standard room I booked was comfortable, a bit smaller than I thought from seeing the pictures on Expedia. It was cute and clean with beautiful , tasteful decor and the view from the balcony overlooking the hills and sea were spectacular. One thing that spoiled my otherwise excellent experience was they charged me 30 euros for the mini bar which we never consumed on our last night there. We had to leave at 4:00 am so we settled the final bill the night before.. After I came home, I saw a charge on my credit card. I made the mistake of NOT asking them to check the mini bar before I settled the bill with them. If it weren't for this incident, I would give them my highest rating.

We had a great size room- I believe it was called superior. Very spacious, nice balcony over looking the coast. We had no issues. Room was always clean and replenished. Great water pressure, powerful hair dryer, and prompt delivery of breakfast each morning. Breakfast is lite but plenty. There are great restaurants near by and the bus stop is right around the corner. You will definitely need to take advantage of Interno Positano bus as it is very far from the beaches and center of town. We enjoyed Fornillo Beach and had a private boat tour using Blue Star! Highly recommend! We also did a private tour of Path of the Gods. It was fabulous!

Room is beautiful! Very comfortable bed. Fresh lilies and orchids in our room. Jacuzzi tub was great. Spectacular view, staff is friendly and breakfast on the terrace is fantastic. Lovely place.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and kind. The views magnificent. The breakfast world class! And the room, outdoor jacuzzi and veranda so luxurious and beautifully appointed!

ROMANTIC!!!! Breakfast was phenominal. Rose petals, slippers, jacuzzi tub...awesome. The views of the Mediterranean were unreal. Also, the staff was amazing and were really there for us. We ended up eating and shopping based on their recommendations.

Cannot highly recommend it enough. On the day I arrive, the room, location and weather were all perfect. The staff where helpful and friendly, and the room, well was perfect, the outside deck was a amazing experience especially with the outdoor jacuzzi bath and shower. The car parking was excellent and very secure. I hope to come back soon. I hope you enjoy your day.

Our stay at Villa Yiara was perfect, magical and exceeded all of our expectations for our October trip to Positano. Well located, breathtaking views, near many amazing restaurants and only a 15 min walk to the beach or centre (stairs are optional throughout the town, easily accessible by following the main road). Our room was spotless clean, bed comfortable, lovely decor, had all the amenities we needed (hotel offered us beach bags, towels when going to beach). We had a beautiful private terrace where we were served the most plentiful and delicious breakfast every morning. Those moments eating breakfast privately over looking the water, cliffs and town are some of the top trip highlights for us. The staff are attentive, friendly, and incredibly hospitable. We could feel their pride for their town, property and service they provide. This hotel helped make our trip so special and would recommend. Thank you!
