Resort was lovely and well maintained. Black sand beach was a favorite. Our room had a really nice ocean view and a jacuzzi facing the ocean that we really enjoyed. Room was updated with modern conveniences. We really enjoyed our stay and will return if we go back to Tahiti.

Excellent room! bigger than most apartments. awesome view of black sand beach right below, wish there had been easy access to it. only small inconvenience was opening the door to the balcony, had to slide in beside the jacuzzi to get to it, but having the jacuzzi made it worth it. room service was fantastic! hope to be fortunate enough to stay here again someday. Everyone was super helpful, easy to book transportation. Very clean, buffet for breakfast was really great very large variety of food. Language barrier was a bit of a problem. Needed an adapter for CPAP machine and they were out had to sleep without it for a night until someone checked out and one became available. The pool had a lot of sand in it and needed to be refinished missing lots of tiles. The jacuzzi was not heated at all. The location and beauty made up for the inconveniences.

Check-in: arrived early, stored luggage and lounged by the pool. Relaxing grounds. End of Honeymoon trip, but they did not receive reservation note. I had to ask for the Honeymoon gift (straw beach bag), room was not decorated like others'. Reception said - only for honeymooners, but non-honeymooners said they got it. Room: king size bed, covered open air dining area, balcony, kitchen (no microwave), washing machine (no dryer), TV, wifi, bathroom - shower (no tub) with half glass wall (water splashes). Clean, spacious, views of the black sand beach. Large property, open air restaurant, bar with happy hour. Thurs/Sat there are Polynesian dance shows with buffet dinner ($65 per person, by reservation). There's a hot tub, but broken? Black sand beach, only experienced swimmers. Gift shops - manager was aggressive when I asked about VAT tax. French Polynesia VAT Tax is more complicated than other places that I've traveled to, I wanted to understand it, she barked at me in front others - I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. I was a paying customer (bought a setting for a pearl), I was shocked to be spoken to this way. I went back the next day when she wasn't there, the younger, local sales girl explained their VAT tax to me much, much better and was very kind. Reception staff friendly, taxi to airport arranged, 2x/day free shuttle to downtown Papeete is a must for shopping (nothing walkable by resort). 20 min walk uphill to a lookout over Matavai Bay, great for pictures.

Alain was the perfect host. Very friendly and helpful. The house and grounds are stunning and had everything we needed for a perfect family holiday.

Fare D'hotes Tutehau is a quiet and comfortable oasis in the heart of Papeete. Georgy and Martine, the proprietors couldn't have been friendlier. Breakfast was simple fare and always delicious, especially Georgy's banana bread! We stayed at this B & B twice. It bookended our trip to French Polynesia. Our first room was very comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy. It had a mini fridge, coffee, and tea. The air conditioning worked well. Our second room was down right luxurious. A big room with a king bed and a huge bathroom. Very clean and very comfortable. Take note - air conditioning is an extra charge. The location is not in a touristy part of town. It is very convenient to the waterfront, ferry terminal, and downtown shops and cafes. It is also a short drive (5 minutes) to the inexpensive food trucks at Place Vai'ete. Fare D'hotes Tuehau is a gem! I plan to stay here again on my next trip to Papeete.

Lovely continental breakfast that kept us going for most of the day. Fruit, fresh bread, pastry, jams, cheese team and coffee. Breakfast was self serve on the deck. The B&B is casual, stylish and very comfortable with a lovely outdoor area for dining or relaxing. Walking distance to town and restaurants etc. Friendly and very helpful host.

Our host was very helpful with excellent local recommendations, the room and house were very clean and comfortable, and we loved the delicious breakfast with fresh garden fruit. It was quiet despite being in the middle of the town, and the location was very convenient to everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a spacious room with a spacious en suite bathroom. The bed was really comfortable, we paid for the air-conditioning to make the room comfortable in the humid climate. The property has character, there is a lounge, dining area and garden. Lots of pictures and objects of Tahitian character. The owners were friendly and helpful The property is a 15 minute walk from the ferry to Moorea, we had an excursion to the mountains there. There is a Patisserie, two Supermarkets and restaurants nearby. We had to leave at 6.00 am both mornings we were there so too early to get breakfast.

So clean and updated, very pleasing to the eye and so comfortable. The host and his assistant were so great and arranged taxis when needed. Breakfast was delicious with fresh banana bread and amazing fruit. Thank you!

Very comfortable stay in such an incredible location -- facing the world-famous wave of Teahupoo. The village is quiet and I felt very safe as a solo traveller. Rooms are very clean. The breakfast and dinners (extra) from Rairoa were also so delicious! The host is accommodating and happy to help arrange local things to do. Perfect for travellers who want to slow down and relax with natural things to do around them.

Comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean, perfect for an overnight stay. Free transfers from the airport and to the ferry terminals were a huge bonus. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast was good value. Loved the cats!

So quiet clean and great location with a lovely balcony restaurant for breakfast lunch dinner ..or just to chill with a drink The staff very happy and engaging ,,making us feel welcomed and wanted at all interactions. WHAT ABOUT the early check in ,,,10-11 am ,,no hanging around waiting for bigger establishments letting you in their rooms at 2-3 pm.. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed with gorgeous views of the ocean from our terrace. As others have mentioned, there is no beach at this hotel, but we enjoyed the beautiful pool. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our only issue was the challenge in ordering breakfast with room service. The telephone connection was not always clear. However, the front desk staff were able to process our orders. would recommend getting the breakfast package when booking. We didn’t do this, so it was much more costly to add in the breakfast buffet on site. We tried all the restaurants on site. The food was fine but quite expensive! The hotel is conveniently located between the airport and ferry terminal, so it was easy to catch a ferry for our stay in Moorea. There is a shopping mall located right across the street and is accessible by a skybridge. It has a large grocery store if you want to buy snacks. However, everything opens very early in the area and closes earlier than we had expected. We also rented a car and drove around the island. It was very easy to drive there. The Tahiti Museum is a worthwhile visit to learn about the local history and the history of all South Pacific Islands. It is another beautiful modern space located next to a warm white sandy beach. My stay at Hilton Hotel Tahiti was excellent. The hotel is elegant and beautifully designed, with a calm, upscale atmosphere. My room was spacious, spotless, and had a lovely view of the ocean. The pool area is stunning — big, clean, and perfect for relaxing. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a great selection of fresh and local food. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to assist. The location is convenient, just a short drive from the airport and close to Papeete. Everything felt smooth and comfortable from check-in to check-out. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with a nice modern indoor mall nextdoor. The rooms were large, clean, updated and the AC worked perfectly. Every room had a beautiful view of the ocean. There is no beach but the pool is very large with a helpful swim up bar. The walk to town is just over 1mile and not the nicest path. But...the meal service was soooo slow. At every restaurant the wait staff was non attentive and things took forever to come out. Restaurant service is weak. Overall the beauty of the hotel and wonderful rooms make up for the poor restaurant service - we'd recommend

Beautiful property!! Fantastic views from room #440 Large pool. Poolside menu service was excellent. Ordered the poke bowl. It was fresh and absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Concierge staff and reception staff were also friendly. Walking distance to shopping and huge local town market near ferry terminal. Clean, spacious rooms. Loved our stay despite the minor issues.

The rooms are nearly brand new and are very clean. The staff is pleasant. The only problem we had with the room was the shower drain backed up, filling the shower with water. We were offered a room change to resolve. The hotel is right near the ocean, downtown which makes everything walkable, but if you bring a car there is little parking and traffic is very very heavy. Almost every car is a manual transmission, so if you rent a car and aren't comfortable driving a stick shift, you may struggle to navigate the streets. They do offer off-site parking for about $35 USD, but it is several blocks up the road and you can only enter from one side of the street. Some people have complained about noise. We could hear karaoke and Street traffic, but it wasn't horribly loud and we were able to sleep just fine. If you taxi in and don't plan to park or drive, this is an ideal location. If you are driving and are adventurous, you'll be just fine. But if you want to drive and aren't comfortable navigating a busy city, you may want to stay in a more rural area. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as there are dining options nearby that offer a greater variety for a better price, but they do offer a breakfast if you are looking for that, I believe for about $35 USD per person.

I had a very nice stay at Maitai Express Tahiti. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a short visit. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great — right in Papeete, close to shops, restaurants, and the ferry terminal. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was fast and easy. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient, simple place to stay in the city. I would definitely come back.

The hotel is beautifully rennovated and extremely clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and our room had a really nice walk-in rain shower. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location was amazing. It was about a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. There were shops and restaurants nearby, and the ferry port and cruiseport were right across the street. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed there for one night prior to boarding a cruise ship which was a short walk away. room was very basic but perfect for one night. The bed was comfortable; and the room had been updated and included a modern shower. A small continental breakfast cost extra but was worth the convenience. All this plus a very friendly staff made our stay perfect

I had a wonderful stay at Maitai Express in Papeete! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location couldn’t have been better—convenient for exploring the city and easy access to local attractions. What really stood out was the staff—they were absolutely outstanding, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Every interaction was friendly, helpful, and genuine, which made a huge difference. They helped us with our flight cancellation, called us a taxi to the airport and were very amenable. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Papeete, and I would love to stay here again!

Good value resort. Overall, nicely appointed. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Hotel management was very responsive answering questions and providing information regarding our reservations. Some areas of the property are in need of repair/upgrade. It rained heavily during our stay and the roof over the common areas and walkways was leaking in multiple spots. Also, the bottom of the pool is in need of refurbishing. While the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, the wait staff in the restaurant was not very attentive and kept us waiting an inordinate amount of time for service. Breakfast was very pricey, over $90 US, for a standard breakfast buffet. We did not choose the breakfast included package, and assumed we would walk to a nearby restaurant. However, there are no convenient places nearby. I would recommend choosing the breakfast package. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay at this resort again.

I stayed in an ocean view studio and found it clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning and ceiling fan cooled the room well. The view from the balcony was beautiful. It would’ve been even better if the palm trees had been trimmed a bit. The grounds are lushly landscaped and well maintained. While there is no sandy beach, the property provides easy access to the water. The infinity pool area is lovely. Perhaps some TLC is in order, as it appeared to be in need of resurfacing and the fountains on the curved stone wall were non-operational. The deck area facing Moorea was quiet and relaxing. The sunrises from that vantage point did not disappoint, so try not to oversleep. The roosters on the property do their best to ensure you don’t! The breakfast buffet is pricey and acceptable, but most of the “hot” food was barely warm. Other food options/menus are very limited.

The unit we booked had 2-stories, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, 1 masterbed room, living room and 2 balconies over looking the garden. We loved how spacious it was. The master bath was luxurious. We have 2 adults and 2 kids and I had requested an extra bed and had planned for the other kid to sleep on the sofa bed. When we arrived, there were 2 very comfortable cots already setup. We really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the staff. The room was clean, AC'd. The beds were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the lagoon and dined at the ocean front bar while watching the sunset over Moorea. It was an amazing picturesque view of Tahiti. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

From arrival to departure, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Reception assisted us with the loan of a travel adaptor and ensured we had a taxi booked for our ongoing travel ... (with an English speaking driver). The wifi was excellent, and breakfast had a large selection of hot and cold. An omelette station is always welcomed and was lovely! An option to sit outside for breakfast was really nice. The pool and lagoon is beautiful, and the view of Moorea, especially at sunset, was stunning! Our suite had a lagoon view, and it was an absolute treat to sit on the balcony! We ate at the restaurant and were very satisfied with both price and quality. Happy hour cocktails are always a great idea, and we loved the swim up bar. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent two nights here after a week in Moorea, we really enjoyed everything about the resort, yes food and drinks are expensive, but It is expensive everywhere in French Polynesia. All the food and drinks we had were tasty and reasonable size portions. Yes the resort is looking a bit tired but it is reflected in the price, you are not paying Hilton rates! So for us it was good value compared to what you can pay elsewhere. Make sure you book a water side table for dinner at the restaurant and also out on the little bar islands for sunset, watching the fish in the lights is fun and we enjoyed both tables. Also book a table at blue banana down the road, great food and friendly service, again book a water table. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with ocean view, the view was amazing :)

We stayed here twice. Once at the beginning of our trip after flying in, and the last night two weeks later before flying back home. The location is wonderful, right across the street from the Ferry Terminal. It is also right down the street from the Papeete Market. Both of our rooms were very comfortable. The first had a balcony overlooking the port, with a view of Moorea, our next destination. It was a large, comfortable room with a great bed, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and large bathroom with a huge shower. Same for the second room, but with an even better coffee maker, that had a built-in coffee grinder. When we checked out, we were able to store our luggage for hours while we went to the market. The staff allowed us to stay for hours in a beautiful common area on the second floor with couches, chairs, and ice water. We were even allowed to take a shower, even though we had checked out hours before. The restaurant upstairs is wonderful, if a bit pricey, and the coffee shop on the first floor also has amazing food at very reasonable prices. The young gentlemen working in the coffee shop are extremely helpful. The reception staff were also very helpful, answering our questions, and brought out our luggage for us twice to get out items we needed before we finally left for our flight late in the afternoon. I can't say enough positive things about Hotel Kon Tiki, and if we ever visit French Polynesia again, we will definitely be back.

From the moment we arrived from our cruise ship at 10:00 a.m.,The front desk agents were so attentive and helpful. We were lucky to get an early check-in at 12 noon. Our room was quite large and very comfortable. Everything was modern and clean. Electric shades, modern kitchen, excellent coffee maker and huge shower. The room was nicely decorated with the mural of a humpback whale behind behind our bed! So cool! The restaurant and the REEFTOP bar were beautifully decorated. The bar was open until 1:00 a.m. and they had a fun D.J. who was playing tunes with a live parrot on his shoulder. It was a nice place to go and listen to music and then just take the elevator right back down to our room. Perfect! There was a nice waiting room on the first floor for those of us who had late night flights.A great amenity was the ability to use a shower. The only thing I found uncomfortable was the lack of air conditioning in the lobby and in the hallways and on the first floor shower room. It was very, very hot. Keep in mind, the hotel does not have a pool and there are no beaches nearby. I found a public municipal swimming pool within walking distance which was awesome. I was able to exercise and lay out and get a little sun. Other than that everything was great! I would stay again and I would definitely recommend this place!

🏨 Hotel design for surfers. Very spacious room with a cozy atmosphere. Everything you need is available, including a coffee machine ☕. The bathroom features a shower and excellent toiletries 🚿. 📍 Convenient location near the port. 🍹 The hotel has a rooftop cocktail bar, and underneath it, there's a restaurant with great craft beer 🍺. 👫 The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. There's a cozy café downstairs with delicious pastries and aromatic coffee ☕.

The room was spacious, modern, and well-appointed. A thoughtful touch was that they had already made up the sofa bed for our 9-year-old, making our arrival seamless and comfortable. The location is incredibly convenient—right across the street from the main ferry terminal and just a short 10-minute walk to Papeete Market, perfect for exploring the local culture and shopping. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The spread included fresh fruit, delicious juices, and a wonderful selection of bakery items that made for the perfect start to the day. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our short stay even more enjoyable. Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy, with about a $40 taxi ride. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

If you find yourself in Papeete, Tahiti and need a nice place to stay, you can’t go wrong with the Boutique Hotel Kon Toki. It’s a nice modern hotel right downtown, directly across from the ferry station. Staff is very friendly and helpful, check-in was a breeze. The rooms are large and modern with balconies. There is a large rooftop bar that was packed with folks the night I was there. There is also a nice large restaurant just below the rooftop bar that advertises a panoramic view of town. Dinner was great as was breakfast in their large ground floor restaurant.

Owners are supernice and helpful! They answer your emails quickly, organize island tours and transport, give you advice for hiking and shopping... The house with all rooms, terrace and garden is cosy and spacious, the outdoor kitchen is well equipped. Everything very clean. You get snorkelling masks, fins and a bicycle for free. The breakfast with fruits is delicious. They even kept it for me once in the fridge, when I went hiking very early... The beach is close, if you take the bike or car. Beautiful sunsets, calm water for swimming. Can highly recommend it. Will come back. Thanks!

Didn't know this was a 3 house property, owners live in the middle house. Breakfast was fabulous. Hosts were great, friendly, helpful. But slammed missionaries more than once. This was a relaxing place to stay except for the roosters crowing all the time. Two beaches very close by (Mahana Park- trees, tables & Vaiava Beach- very little shade). Would definitely stay again. I wished I had known there was also kitchens available to all guests, that would have been helpful info in planning (didn't have transportation). It would have been good to have more info - local bus available, plan on 1 hr to city center or ferry. They arranged a taxi for me the day I left, which was very helpful. It was awesome to be able to leave my big suitcase in the reception area, while I went to Moorea for 2 nights. Great location away from the noisy city center. Guests are friendly. Snorkling equipment available.

We (a couple) loved our stay here. We had a nice cosy private room, but enjoyed very much the the common areas and talking with all the nice guests, the friendly hosts and the cute dogs! Our hosts helped us with many recommendations and bookings and were always friendly. The facilities are nice and clean and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking your own dinner etc. The location is ok, the area is very calm and quiet and it’s close to a very nice snorkeling beach. If you need to go places the (unreliable 😅) bus stops close to the pension, but we also had a lot of luck with hitchhiking :) Would recommend and would stay again if in Tahiti.

Mosquito net was provided and it had no holes. I stayed in the single room as well as - on my returnal - in the dorm. The dorm had lockers for each bunk bed. Good Location to me: The guesthouse is very close to two of the nicer beaches in Tahiti and luckily to me, it is away from the traffic jams of the noisy downtown. The bus station is only a few meters away, ... if one wants to go downtown. There are two very nice, affordable and yummy restaurants in walking distance of the guesthouse. A typically French breakfast is included in the price (baguette, jam, coffee/tea). French style .... is generally not really my cup of tea for breakfasts anywhere. but it came with a Tahitian touch to fill my tommy well :-): fresh fruits and home-made lemonade, that I found very nice to start the day with. The hosts own two lovely doggies, they watch the premises, so you are well protected of external intruders. But the big doggies also love to be cuddled and I loved to cuddle them. No fear, the dogs dont enter the guesthouse, except if you want it so :-)

The location is great for two lovely beaches and small beach bar. A shop for provisions is a short walk. The views from the beach of Moorea and the sunset are super. Breakfast was great and the checkin checkout simple. The kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor (also indoor) shower is a plus. The owners are very pleasant and helpful speaking French and English.

I liked the ease and walkability to many restaurants and the airport for a one night stay. The view is pretty stunning, too. Perfect if you have an early flight in the AM. Also, the front desk was extremely gracious and welcoming and spoke excellent English, and even helped me fumble through my admittedly terrible French.

Can’t beat this location - perfect place to come after or before a flight into Tahiti. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff is also very helpful and always available. Would highly recommend to any traveler’s needing accomodation close to the airport.

The main attraction of this hotel is its proximity to the airport. It couldn't be much closer. Despite this, it was very quiet. Nice fluffy towels. Beds very comfy. Very clean. Cold AC. Friendly staff.

The new pool is beautiful! Grounds were well kept, room was simply decorated, very clean and the extra large bed with all white bedding was very comfortable, clean and fresh! It was a short walk to get some amenities for our room, and staff was very helpful when we had questions. Beach was easily accessible and the restaurant /bar was extremely large to accommodate large groups and had a stunning view of the ocean no matter where you sat!! An enjoyable stay!!

We requested a ground floor room due to a very late arrival & not wanting to carry suitcases upstairs. Room was large with a kitchenette plus outdoor seating. Air con worked however due to high humidity it needs time. Pictures on site as per our room. Restaurant overlooks the water. Tania the maitre’d & her staff friendly & helpful. Enjoyed our food plus drinks. Breakfast as stated a little pricey for what is offered however enjoyable. Small shop with limited supplies a 5 minute walk from Hotel. We enjoyed the pool & gardens. Location requires transport to town. On Sundays shopping hours minimal. Hotel Staff friendly & helpful

Fortunately we read the comments from other visitors AFTER we stayed at the Royal Tahitien, because we perhaps would not have booked. However, our experience was totally different. The room was very large, immaculate and very comfotable - huge comfy bed, sofa and chairs, patio with view of beautiful landscaped gardens and out to the sea. The staff were friendly, efficient and very accommodating. The manager stayed in the office UNTIL MIDNIGHT the night we left to catch our flight just to ensure our taxi collected us to get us to the airport on time. The restaurant had a menu that was varied and delicious and the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. The open windows looking out to the sea created a lovely ambience. The hotel was built awhile back, but renovations seem to be continuing, and certainly there could be no complaints about our room. The close proxmiity to Papeete city centre (a short bus trip or taxi ride) made the "resort style"accommodation a real bonus and certainly you wouldn't find anything in the centre with the relaxing and peaceful environment that we found at the Royal Tahitien. It was only 15 minutes from the airport!

Rooms are large, clean and well equipped. Aircon is strong and fast. Breakfast is nice. Restaurant that has dinners is very good. Staff is very supportive. Beautiful garden and views of the ocean. Wifi is strong. Highly recommended!

I’m giving this a five star review in the context of this being a three star hotel but is really bordering on being a four star. It’s in amazing location with plenty of car parking space, in fact you can park in front of your apartments and has everything you need for a nice stay in a well priced (relatively as everything in Tahiti is expensive) resort with a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and exclusive access to a beach (which is a one minute walk from here). The staff were helpful and the best thing was that this is only a 30 minute walk to the centre of Papeete and there are various buses on the main road. I would recommend!

Nice lobby, beautiful pool & jacuzzi, but no hand rail. Room 517 was a corner room w/a balcony. A couple of block walk takes you to the main street where there are many choices for restaurants and shopping. Front desk staff very helpful.

The location is in the center of Papette which is very convenient. The hotel suit is spacious and quiet. But the bathroom needs lighter, the bathtub is high, not easy to get out and may fall down easily. Should have a shower door or a curtain to prevent the water splatter everywhere. The kitchen needs a microwave instead of a big oven. The swimming pool is good size, clean ...very cool. Staffs are caring always with a smile, quickly response to our needs. We used the Dhana spa : warm, clean, relaxing. Our family likes the hotel, we will comeback.

We stayed at Tahiti Nui after a Pacific cruise for one night. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations. First, our room was really a suite with small kitchen, living room, seperate sleeping area, and two part bathroom. Second, extremely clean. Staff was very helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was good. Our room had an oversize balcony overlooking the rooftops, so we could see the hills. Some drawbacks: this hotel does really have any nearby restaurants, so you walk about four blocks for shopping and eats. The WiFi in our room kept cutting out, but was great in the lobby. Staff had no solutions to our WiFi problems.

The room was very big and had a refrigerator, shower, and large bathtub. It felt like a small apartment. The air conditioning was very effective and overall it was clean and spacious. I ended up arriving two days before my partner, and I felt very comfortable alone here as an American woman. The employees were helpful and able to comfortably converse in English.

We had a brief experience at Hotel Tahiti Nui but it was good. We left a cruise ship at around 9a and chose this hotel because check in was at 1p (the earliest we could find). Many hotels allow an early check in (as does Hotel Tahiti Nui) but it is crazy expensive and was not worth it to us. When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately checked in by a very friendly and sympathetic staff member. He helped us store our luggage and pointed out some of the common area amenities. We were initially a little way b/c the lobby restrooms are quite shabby as is the lobby furniture. We spent several hours walking the town and getting lunch; the hotel is well-located and very close to downtown shops and restaurants. We were actually given our room a bit early, which was very kind and much appreciated. To our delight, the room was not at all like the lobby. It was super clean, updated, and had a comfortable bed and balcony. We spent several relaxing hours there before heading to the airport for our evening flight. All in all, we were happy with the price we paid for 7 hours of comfort.

location and view is amazing by the pool, in the nature surrounded by exotic foliage with nice view of the ocean , good place to be relaxed , disconnect from the day troubles and just enjoy the moment . Pool was clean , house was clean and the beatutifull bird songs you hear from the surrounding fauna is pure relaxing joy.

Everything was perfect, single female traveler, completely safe, friendly host, and view is incredible. Host is an amazing, kind hearted person and replies fast. Simply beautiful all together.

We had a wonderful stay here. It is a rustic guesthouse with access to the private pool. It was perfect if you are looking for an alternative to a resort. There is a small kitchenette and sitting room with a loft bedroom. I normally hate firm beds but slept great here. There is a/c for the bedroom. For us the pool is what really made this place. We saw the owners at the pool once and other than that it was like having our own private resort to ourselves. :) I got screwed up on my dates due to crossing the international date line and the host was amazing about correcting it without any extra charges. Very responsive to all my messages

A gem find. The architecture of the free standing cabin is very interesting, but above all it's very charming. The solutions to water runoff are very impressive on such a steep lot. Nice theme throughout. views from the pool patio and the garden swing are beautiful. Hosts very discrete (we just heard them entertaining on their own patio but they stayed reasonably quiet and we did not get to meet them during this stay). The sink and fawcet fawcet in the bathroom are quirky and very neat.

This property is a little gem. Nestled in the mountain side its surrounded by a beautiful garden and pool with a fabulous view of the bay. Really charming and above my expectations. Original decor inside with kitchenette, bungalow style.. I just loved it.

This accommodation totally met our expectation and hopes. It was private, quiet, right on a lovely beach, good size, great deck with a view of the sea, comfy bed, lots of hot water in shower, central location. It was a bit rustic, but that suited us fine. We were able to buy groceries and have a simple meal on the deck and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening. For people reading this - it was not a posh resort style accommodation - with daily room servicing, fresh towels, polished new furnishing, etc, but that is not what we were looking for. We stayed 5 nights. Unexpected bonuses: air conditioning. TV with Netflix, good wifi

The beach and the views, Black sand beach but amazing views. Close to town and to restaurants Very convenient if you are into nature, everything is close (30min drive). The landlord is very friendly

Carlos and Hina were beyond excellent hosts. Kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive! The location is amazing, right on the beach, beautiful landscaping. You can't find better. The bungalow is super cute. I love the porch looking out to the ocean and the covered patio. The bed was comfortable too. The bathroom was in great shape. I would definitely recommend this property for a vacation spot. It was incredible.

Location right at a quiet beach. The Host, Carlos was amazing and helpful and attentive to guests needs - responded quickly to requests. The Caretaker, Hina, was also very pleasant and helpful

Absolutely gorgeous, Carlos took such great care of us from the airport throughout are stay. He even retrieved our ferry tickets and insured we arrived on time . The huts are perfect and the staff is warm and welcoming Private beach and fresh fruit in the fridge I'm so glad we did not stay in the city It's a beautiful drive along the coastline and you can rent a car directly from him . I cannot say enough about his hospitality.

Beautifully remodeled room, with a jacuzzi bath! Ocean views with a Sandy Beach, infinity pool and swim up bar! Restaurant, Le Lotus, French cuisine was Superb and a culinary experience that we will never forget! The sounds in the distant from the polynesian dancers at the main restaurant added to the ambiance making our last night something to remember.

Overall, this was the best resort experience we’ve had. The pools and ocean views are incredible, the Lagoonarium is a neat experience. The rooms are clean, luxurious, and well-designed, and the staff and management were extremely helpful and accommodating. My wife and I (in our 30’s) stayed for a week on an anniversary trip, with some day travel through Tahiti and day-trips across the ferry to Moorea. My favorite part by far were the two pools. The pool with waterfall next the Lagoonarium (Lagoon-aquarium with lots of fish to swim with) is a great place to relax and swim with pool-side food and drinks. They also have a quieter, white-sand-bottom, fresh-water pool with an infinity-edge looking out on the ocean. All the views are looking out towards Moorea, a large nearby island, so you get incredible views all the time with even more incredible sunsets. Our hotel stay came with breakfast included (which on Sundays turns into a brunch with a live performance). Without these, the breakfasts would be far overpriced. But with those being free, the resort food was only slightly more expensive than the surrounding restaurants with consistent, above-average quality. We had one issue during our stay with the shower, but the manager was extremely accommodating and quickly swapped us rooms, providing a porter to help move things. I felt the staff and manager really cared about making our stay a relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Overall, 5/5.

Stayed 3 nights in overwater bungalow before cruise. Bungalow 5*; clean, luxurious and private. Staff super friendly. Flaws: cocktails way overpriced (US$25-$30 ea), breakfast buffet good but polynesian dinner buffet horrible for price as few actual decent dishes, and construction in bungalow beside us(hammering all day).

The entire staff at this resort is amazing. They upgraded us from a garden view to an ocean view. The property is beautiful. The food is good. It is expensive but that’s what you expect at a quality resort. If you check in early they allow you to stow your luggage and use their pool etc. if you have a night flight they allow you to stash your luggage and continue to enjoy the resort. They have nice rooms where you can shower and change before your flight. The only hiccup we had was a desk clerk said if we signed up to be an IHG member we could check out at 2:00 which was not the case. Since they make accommodations to enable you to use the resort it wasn’t a big issue. The best thing about the resort is the staff. Friendly, genuine, and always helpful.

Everything & everyone was amazing. I had 3 massages all were amazing, Steve I’m guessing he’s the activity coordinator. So pleasant and helpful. I wasn’t to crazy with our room shower took a little too much to figure out but the other showers changing room & spa were great. The room itself was very comfortable. The only bump which we were made aware was the construction on the pool but really not that big of a deal except for the view from the restaurant but not a deal breakers. It’s going to be beautiful when completed. Wonderful people, great location. It’s paradise. Mauraruuru
