Booked the bridal suite for my husbands birthday... bed is huge and the jacuzzi amazing!

Stayed in the bridal suite... wow! Expectations were literally blown out of the humongous jacuzzi bath!

Stayed in the bridal suite and it was lovely. So much room and the jacuzzi bath was good.

The rooms were large and quiet, the furniture was comfortable and the jacuzzi was a great size for relaxing after a long day. We checked in after 11pm and the gentleman at the front desk was lovely and very helpful. He carried our bag and showed us around the room. We didn't have breakfast this time but last time we stayed we did and it was good value for money.

I rarely use the word 'exceptional' in a review but the Ugly Duckling north of Telford deserves that accolade for both the rooms and again for the restaurant. Google earth shows a picture (2014) of a derelict and run down old pub and somewhere since then it has been transformed. Modern tasteful décor in the rooms, comfortable bed, strong Wi-Fi, effective shower and all facilities you would expect. The food selections for both dinner and breakfast were ample and the quality very high. All staff were extremely pleasant and very professional at their jobs. No real problems at all although some late departing guests were a little loud on the Saturday. Very handy for all the local Shropshire tourist features such as Ironbridge and the Wrekin. An exceptional experience is the appropriate description.

Stayed one night with my daughter,our room was clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Was a twin but beds were pushed together, you could move them but would have had to moved bedside tables, wasn't an issue for us to leave beds as they were. Decor was nice. We ate dinner in the restaurant and both enjoyed our meals, it wasn't too busy in the restaurant and we were served by a very nice young waitress. Breakfast - both had pancakes which were really nice and very filling! There were plenty of choices for breakfast. There is a nice large outside seating area, nice comfortable, garden furniture. Our room was above the seating area but we didn't have any noise issues later in the evening. Staff overall were friendly.

Lovely quiet room with spa bathtub and good shower. Attentive and kind staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and more than I could finish. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed.

The location was beautiful. The beer garden was amazing we sat out and could completely relax. The staff were all lovely and polite and did everything we asked from them with a smile. The pub was beautifully decorated and it had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The room a little on the small size but absolutely not a problem. We went on an extremely hot weekend and the room did get very hot but a fan was provided. The bed was comfy and the pillows perfect. Beautifully clean and well maintained The breakfast was amazing!!! Such good value for money. Would return in a heartbeat Thank you..

The warm friendly welcome on our arrival from Louise was a great start. The whole place from curb appeal to interior and our room was well maintained, spotlessly clean and has a cosy homely feel. Delicious freshly baked cake was an absolute bonus. Breakfast options were plentyful and all dietary requirements catered for. Breakfast was prepared fresh individually each morning with quality ingredients sourced locally by Louise and Peter. A cosy home from home stay well situated within easy walking distance from the beautiful town centre.

Louise was very welcoming. The room was nicely decorated and cosy. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. There was a wide selection of hot drinks in the room and the toiletries smelt lovely. Breakfast as delicious and the menu was extensive. My son enjoyed the pancakes and I enjoyed the avocado on toast. I was disappointed that I didn't have enough room for Louise's fresh baked vanilla sponge, it looked delicious.

Easy walk from all of Shrewsbury's restaurants and attractions. Lovely communication from Louise before my stay and delicious homemade cake was really appreciated after a long journey when I arrived! The room was clean and had everything you would need including a smart TV and comfortable easy chair. Peaceful comfortable nights sleep. Really tasty cooked breakfast with lots of vegetarian options.

Our stay was really great. Louise was a really good host; very welcoming and went out of her way to make you feel comfortable and spoilt. The breakfast was delicious, cooked to perfection with quality produce. There was homemade coffee cake, cold bottled water and nice biscuits offered as well as a bottle of Prosecco as I mentioned it was my birthday 😊, how kind is that! The shower was brilliant, proper power shower and all the organic toiletries too. The guest house is a quick walk into Shrewsbury town so ideal location. I would highly recommend a stay at Anton Guest House.

Ample parking area at the Guest House. Large single beds, en-suite shower facilities. Quiet area of St George Telford, so, slept soundly. Full size ironing board easily accessible. Breakfast dining area very bright and clean. Breakfast was pre-order and time required check sheet. Breakfast the best have have had in over 14 years of travelling throughout the United Kingdom. Owner's very welcoming and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Rooms have a service bell if required. The wi-fi was very good. I will stay here again later in the year.

The room was large and clean and bright and a good temperature. The bed was comfy and the pillows were lovely. The bathroom was a good size and clean. The shower temperature and pressure was great. Towels were provided and warm on the radiator. There were ample plug sockets, with a longer cable used to reach the bed. There was good mirrors in the room and bathroom for getting ready. The people who welcomed me showed me around and let me ask questions and were very kind. Breakfast was choice of your own items which you select the day before and leave downstairs - the selection was great and whilst I didn't have the cooked breakfast personally, other guests breakfasts looked a good size and well cooked. There was free parking although i didn't use it. I had free access in/out of the guest house as I pleased. Water tea and coffee were provided in my room along with a pack of biscuits which was a really nice touch. Easy walk to the international centre but I used taxis which were quick and not too expensive. There is a co-op opposite which was very handy.

A lovely place to stay when meeting up with family in between the North West of the country and the South East. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the couple that own it were really friendly. The shower in the family room was amazing!!! The breakfast was delicious too! We had a great day out at the RAF museum and the guest house was very well located for there. A lovely stay - I highly recommend it.

The owners are very nice and keep a very clean and comfortable property. Breakfast is cooked to order and tea, coffee and fruit juices are available. The room was very nice and the whole place is decorated with paintings of local attractions. Tea, Coffee, Kettle were provided together with fresh towels, a nice sized shower.

Lovely old property, nicely maintained. Nice room, comfy bed, TV, free WiFi. English breakfast was nicely cooked. Hostess was friendly. Quiet and convenient location for Telford. I will stay again.

Stay at this venue for work every year. Located in lovely tiny village in a welcoming cosy village pub with a few rooms above. The rooms are quiet, modern, well equipped, clean and cosy. Nice walks nearby. Pub restaurant offers a good variety of exceptional food, is often busy, and a nice cooked breakfast. Staff all very friendly. Highly recommend.

The huntsman is beautifully maintained in a fabulous setting . Very well cared for inside. Restaurant and bar very clean and cosy. Our room was very clean , quiet and comfortable. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Excellent service at all times . Ideal location for visiting local areas.

The Huntsman is lovely! A gorgeous comfy room upstairs with a juliet balcony and good views. Very quiet, very clean, a powerful shower and a lovely 'tea tray' too. Breakfast is ordered the night before and was great. We also had a sunday lunch whilst there (obviously not included in the price) it was reasonably priced and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble

What a lovely find, it was in a beautiful location and a lovely place to stay, the staff were very friendly and welcoming on our arrival. The room was spacious, very clean and very quiet. Excellent bar and restaurant staff, menu was excellent and the food was exceptional. We would like to pass on our thanks and praise to all at The Huntsman who made our stay there a pleasure and we will be sure to visit again.

We stayed in room 1, which overlooked the garden and the river. Exceptional setting. The room was spacious with a small table and 2 chairs in the window to take full advantage of the view. There was also a comfy settee. There was a kettle and all the materials for making tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The king size bed was very comfortable. We had an outstanding dinner in the evening ( booked separately) and the breakfast in the the morning had a varied choice and was of high quality. Good range of draught beers and wines available in the bar. Ideal place to stay for Wroxeter Roman ruins, wroxeter vineyard, Shrewsbury and various other attractions. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff.

A very warm welcome as soon as we walked in. all the staff were amazing, each and every one staff member. from breakfast to dinner in the evening. Check in was easy and everything explained. The room we had (room 1) was excellent in size,, comfort and style. a beautiful Rover Room view. Bed was comfy and large, pillows a little too flat but 2 were too much, so personal preference there. The pub itself, was very welcoming, comfy and such a good space for dining whether its breakfast lunch or dinner. spoilt for a good view for sure. Specials board and a great menu to choose from with plenty of choice. A great choice of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic. Can't really fault our stay at all, great venue to celebrate my Husbands 50th birthday. Nice relaxation amd chill time. Thank you, I know we will be back to visit. All the best. xx

Particularly attractive setting for a beautifully and tastefully refurbished hotel. The accommodation was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. The king size bed and luxurious bed linen ensured a very comfortable night’s sleep, and the full English breakfast was top class. The staff were welcoming, attentive and very efficient. Specialist mention is made of our breakfast waitress, Lesley, who was outstanding in looking after us, and a joy to engage with.

A lovely, quiet location. The room was very cosy, with a spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and they made an effort to seat us in the conservatory with amazing views of the scenery.

From the minute we walked in the door the welcome and attention we received was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was overlooking the river and was absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated. Both bedroom and bathroom spotlessly clean. The view was exceptional..we had a meal and again was first class. I had cod and chips and my husband the pie and chips and all was scrumptious..the breakfast was also first class and cooked to order so nice and fresh. Very very impressed with the decor, ambience and staff and will definitely return.

The food was just stunning, absolutely gorgeous. We had a main evening meal and breakfast, both were fabulous. The room was very comfortable, we were offered a free upgrade but chose not to take it as we wanted to remain on the ground floor and were still very happy with the accommodation. Gorgeous views, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. All very clean and with kettle, iron etc in room. Staff throughout the visit were friendly and very welcoming. I have food allergies and these were dealt with great and remembered so I only had to mention it once in the visit and I was sorted. Love this place!

Building and decor was stunning. Good parking available at the rear. Very good menu for breakfast and dinner. All the staff were attentive and very friendly given that they were rushed off their feet in the afternoon and evenings due volume of customers. They were brilliant. The deluxe twin room we booked is detached from the main building and therefore a lot quieter and has good private access. Beds were clean and comfortable and plenty of toiletries available in the spacious bathroom. Iron, board and hairdryer provided as well as good selection of tea/coffee etc. Reasonable amount of storage. The room has wide doorways and the bathroom has excellent facilities available to guests with mobility and assistance needs.

Our room was fabulous. Spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you would expect, and need, Plus a few more extras. Staff, in every department I thought were above and beyond. Elliott was so helpful each day, and Martin did us proud on the car park. But every team member really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice and quality always very good. Evening meals in the restaurant equalled breakfast in all aspects. Will definitely be going back at some point, the next time we are in the area. Would highly recommend both the hotel, and the restaurant. The bar is outstanding on what it has to offer.

Fantastic 2 night stay! Weather great, location right on the river, so lovely. Room spacious and comfy too, thankfully a fan made it better as it was a warm few days. Lots of places to eat, we choose the Terrace. Great selection of food, dinner and breakfast really nice and tasty. We went into Shrewsbury, not too far, lovely town, lots of interesting buildings and history. Took the boat trip on the Severn which was very good and informative. Last but certainly not least, the fantastic team at the Hotel, very accommodating and friendly, they are a credit to this lovely place.

Check in was really smooth, although we couldn’t check in until 3pm without paying extra for early check in, we were still able to check in and just get our keys so we could then leave the hotel and come back at any time after check in time. For us we had a wedding so we didn’t come back until 12am and it was all easily accessible. Breakfast was delicious too with lots of choice from a menu served to your table. The views outside were gorgeous, on a river which you can sit right next to if you like. The rooms were spotless clean we were upgraded to a suite which was Devine. My sister had a king which looked lovely but very small and difficult to move around

What a find, we had a fabulous stay at The Fox with our dog Barney. The Fox is the most dog friendly place that we have stayed at. Liz and Olivia were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent, with a full cooked breakfast on offer every day along with cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Barney was even offered a sausage for breakfast everyday, which he loved. The breakfast was well cooked with good quality ingredients, we especially loved the thick bacon and black pudding. We also ate in the pub one evening, again the food and service were excellent. Our room was spacious, modern and well equipped with everything we could need including iron and ironing board. Shower was very good, powerful and hot. Wi-Fi is also provided in the room. Much Wenlock is a lovely little town, with plenty of walks locally. Wenlock Priory is lovely to visit and is only a 5 minute walk away. The locals that we met were all very friendly. Great pies and cakes from Pig & Pie in town. If you fancy travelling further afield there are plenty of places to visit, we would highly recommend Shrewsbury Prison Tour. We would highly recommend a stay at The Fox and we look forward to staying there again soon.

Outstanding, this extremely warm friendly inn is family friendly on all accounts. The accommodation is perfect, clean and cosy. Situated in a beautiful village location packed with history, with beautiful Tudor buildings, dating between 14th century to 16th century. The staff owners at The Fox made our 13 year old birthday breakfast one to remember, with nothing being too much for them. To the evening meal and cook breakfast delicious. Dog friendly, children friendly and brilliant for us adults too. A great bass to visit Blists Hill Victorian town, and Shrewsbury prison, both being Dog friendly and a perfect Family day out.

Even before we arrived, the staff at the Fox were extremely helpful. When we did eventually arrive they couldn't be more helpful. Our room was incredible spacious, quiet, the bed super comfy. Wifi excellent! (Important when there is very little reception in the area). We had a meal when we arrives which was fantastic and exceptional value for money. The staff were just brilliant. They could not do enough for us. Breakfast was also excellent, wide choice of cereal and cooked breakfast items. Lots of vegetarian & vegan options too. We were staying at The Fox, as we were attending a wedding in a neighbouring village, it's worth noting that there are No cabs firms that are willing to cover Much Wenlock..... we were having trouble finding anyone to take us / pick us up but again, the staff were so caring and helpful. They spent a lot of time trying to help us, and gave us all possible options, called people to help. We eventually secured a cab, thanks to the wonderful staff at the pub.

The breakfast was Amazing, i have stayed in quite a few hotels some even 5* and have never experienced a breakfast as Good as this. I think the offer of Fresh Fruit & Yogurt to start made it for me. I have been in hotels where they offer Fresh Fruit But this was like it had just been picked that morning. The Cooked breakfast was also perfection. Excellent well done. Wish we had the chance to eat in the Restaurant judging by the standard of their Breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were Very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Spacious, clean and tidy room with a very comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. Breakfast was amazing, kept us going all day. (I even ate the delicious black pudding cos I'm a northerner!) £10 evening meal and drink deal was great value. £20 to feed us both, it cost just over £10 for our drinks at the bar, so we were fed for under £5 each! Fantastic location. Owners and staff are really friendly, attentive and courteous. We even enjoyed meeting Rodger the eccentric painter/folk singer/poet/landscape gardener/assassin at the bar. Nothing negative to say about the fox. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here overnight last night ,we were early to book in but that was not a problem for the management who arranged for our room to be made up 1st we said we would have a drink while we waited . They were fully booked for food but we were offered a table that was going to be passed by with customers queuing for the carvery we said we did not mind as they were doing us a favour . We sat down to one of the best carvery’s I’ve had it was hot & the food was fabulous quality & so much choice and the portions were massive it set us up for the day . After a drink at the bar we were shown to our room , lovely & warm well laid out so spacious the bathroom had bath & shower with added extras of toiletries the bed was amazing & comfortable great night sleep . We had breakfast a great choice & again the best ingredients high quality cooked to perfection . The staff were amazing friendly & well organised helpful & polite all round a fab stay 100% worth every penny thank you so much & keep up the good work we will be back 🙏❤️

Staff (especially the lady on the bar who then served our breakfast the following morning) were very polite and attentive. Check in was easy. Our third visit over 10 years to this place - great location, stunning views, pleasant room but only complaint was the shower head (see below in negative) Restaurant had a great menu and was very reasonably priced. The breakfast is probably the BEST breakfast we have ever had at a hotel - soooo tasty!

Our room was bright and airy, clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee biscuits supplied, all good. Would definitely recommend. Breakfast very enjoyable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. The meal was excellent, the service and the staff very attentive very friendly and professional. Plenty of on site parking is a bonus.

Very good 2 night stay at The Down Inn, quiet and pleasant surroundings, very handy for Bridgnorth and the Severn Valley Railway. Very large car park with easy access to rooms, very pleasant and helpful staff. Good choice at the bar and on the menu's. Fast service in the restaurant with first class food and sensible prices. Breakfast was also very good. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Quick and easy check out too. I would certainly stay at The Down Inn again the next time in the area. 👍😁

Check in was easy, all the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was spacious and clean with a good-sized desk, the en-suite bathroom was roomy and the bath and shower worked well. The free WiFi was good with no need to log in or supply an email address. Plenty of car parking, and breakfast was good, not great.

Such a lovely property, with beautifully decorated rooms and very pretty features. Lots of little extras provided by the wonderful, friendly hosts. Our room was very cosy, had a large comfy bed and nice luxury bedding. The breakfast was exceptional, very tasty and perfectly cooked.

Warm, welcoming knowledgeable owner. Breakfast was amazing with helpful, friendly staff. Location was perfect. Loved the fresh milk in the cooler jug rather than plastic uht in the room. Lots of parking in the grounds which was a bonus. Lovely towels!

Great location for walking into Ironbridge. The house is beautiful and the decor fitting for it's age. We had the biggest 4 poster bed we'd ever seen! En suite was clean and spacious. The room was exactly how I imagine it to be. Booked for my husbands birthday and requested a cake and a couple of bottles of local ale, and these were in the room when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious - we always rate the breakfasts by the quality of the sausage, and this sausage was superb. Very friendly and helpful hosts, and a happy little dog too.

Everything! James is a perfect host, friendly & informative. Lovely breakfast. Excellent room with enormous super-comfortable bed. Very quiet location but within easy walking distance of 3 main "living" museums and the pretty town of Ironbridge. Safe, off-road parking. 3 excellent pubs close by, 2 of which serve superb food in the evening.

My daughter and I stayed in the Thomas Telford room which is in the coach house annex. The room was spacious, cosy and well equipped, a real home from home. The owners of the property were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The guesthouse is in a good, quiet, semi rural position and has a nice pub serving good food (The Black Swan) just a few minutes walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The setting was picturesque and peaceful. Our accommodation was situated at the front of the property, near the road, but the road noise didn't bother us. Our facilities were spacious with a handy seating area, as you entered, perfect for taking your shoes on & off . The bed was really comfortable ( slept like a log !) The restaurant and bar area is tastfully decorated and quirky due it's historic importance. The AGA carvery lived up to our expectations. Absolutely fantastic, although they have a main menu you can also order from. I ordered the vegetarian nut loaf, with all the carvery vegetables etc trimmings and it was the best I've ever tasted! There was a supplement of £3.95, for main meal choices, added to the 2 courses price of £12.95 but still exceptional value for high quality fresh food. My husband & I had the homemade white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake. There's a vibrant, yet relaxing atmosphere, to the place. The staff were friendly & efficient. Breakfast was cooked to order and you could choose what you wanted. Cooked to perfection. All in all, we would highly recommend & wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Pretty much everything!!! The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room, while not huge, was more than adequate; tastefully furnished in a complimentary style; the bed was very comfortable with crisp, clean bedding; bathroom (with deep full size bath & over bath shower) was modern and clean. The addition of a generous sized refrigerator was very welcome, and a generous selection of complimentary amenities (including biscuits and two bottles of water) was provided. Breakfast was piping hot, well prepared and comprised quality ingredients.

A lovely inn... The suite was lovely and spacious... Spotlessly clean...very comfortable bed.. Large bathroom. A wonderful breakfast.. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Recommend to eat in the restaurant...we had a lovely meal..the champagne trifle was delicious.

What a fantastic one night stay we had it was a last minute booking as we was on the way back from Wales for a few nights early in the week.The Room was wonderful very clean and a very comfortable bed it was the best night sleep for a while. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a meal in the restaurant that night and the food was fantastic And the breakfast in the morning was amazing we couldn't ask for more. We would definitely comeback again. Well done

Stayed for a wedding at mill barns. Venue is only a 10-15min drive making it a perfect local stay. Room was perfect for what we needed, good lighting and mirrors to help us get ready for the wedding. We stayed in the old bury suite which benefited from a mini sitting room away from the bedroom giving us that extra space Staff were so welcoming and even greeted by name. We had pre rang to ask if we could check in early due to wedding starting at 1- they accommodated this with no questions asked and we are so grateful. Breakfast was amazing, made to order, big portion, good quality food and nice and hot. Amazing selection of cereal and toast to start.

Lovely room, 4 poster bed, jacuzzi bath, Lovely toiletries, and all amenities, dressing gowns and slippers. Water, teas, coffee etc with nibbles in the room. Staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast amazing, all freshly cooked and plenty of variety, we would definitely stay again

Absolutely gorgeous room (#5) with 4-poster bed and jacuzzi bath (not that we used that feature). Good breakfast hamper (and fridge with milk and orange juice was a nice touch). The food in the restaurant was absolutely outstanding, all prepared by one chef. Stunning sea bass with potatoes dauphinoise and delicious chicken in panko breadcrumbs. Really well placed as a stopover en route between London and North Wales. It really deserves to prosper!

We arrived late in the evening as we booked a room in this listed building to break up our journey, travelling up from London on a Friday evening. The room was lovely, the staff were very helpful, and the complimentary continental breakfast was lovely. The room even had it's own fridge with fresh milk, orange juice and yogurt. Next time we plan to arrive earlier so we can have some food and a drink...and my partner can make use of the jacuzzi bath!

The hotel was easy to find with a spacious car park. Checking in was simple.The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The room was very neat and tidy with just the right amount of personal touches without going over the top. The choice of beverages was more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and there was only the occasional bit of road noise, but as we live in a rural area we always tend to notice this. The bar was welcoming and the local ale had a good flavour. We ate in the restaurant which had a varied menu. The food was well cooked and very tasty. The portion size was good. The wine list was also varied and our choice met all expectations. The breakfast again was tasty and also a good portion. The teapot didn't haven't an annoying drip, more common than you would think, and there was also a choice of continental and cold breakfast choices. Would we use the hotel again? Definitely yes, it is ideally placed for local attractions which was our reason for choosing the hotel in the first place.

Very convenient for walking into Bridgnorth. (about 10 minutes). We stayed on a Friday night in room Tasley and it was spacious , clean and a huge comfy bed. tea, coffee and a tasimo coffee machine in the room. Also a room safe. Shower was good and the water in the bathroom was very hot. Great. Big fluffy towels. The room overlooks the side patio which was quite busy from around 4.30 to 8 ish with an afterwork/family crowd. After 9 we found it quiet and slept well. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fresh cooked and good. Simple continental breakfast was included ( boxes of cereal and pastries, juice and tea /coffee)A variety of fresh hot breakfasts were available to order. We had a full English and poached eggs on toast. Both were very well cooked and £16 for the two. Owner, assistant manager and staff were all very personable and friendly. Ou room was ready at 12pm so we were able to check in early. Big carpark and we were able to leave our car there on Saturday morning to wander in to the town before coming back for lunch. (chicken kebabs with chilli and lime, delicious)

What a great place to stay, good central location but quiet at night, such a comfortable bed and room. Very clean, great staff - so friendly and helpful! The food was lovely and breakfast was exceptional (VERY generous portions).

This is our second stay at the woodberry, within 5 minutes walking distance into town. We were attending a wedding at another hotel, I called a week earlier to ask if the room would be available earlier than check-in time to change into our wedding outfits, the hotel said they would try their best & did, it was ready on arrival. They were also very helpful with taxi booking to the other hotel & gave us local taxi numbers & advised us to book ASAP which we did, there wasn't much availability. The room was modern & very clean although smaller than we previously had but it was only to get changed & sleep as we we out all day/night. Breakfast was delicious, cereals, full English & coffee. Staff were all friendly & professional.Definitely recommend!

Very easy to find, lots of parking, immediately when walking in the place is beautiful and clean and the staff were extremely welcoming. Allowed us slightly early check in due to a wedding we had, and we unbelievably accommodating! Went above and beyond! Rooms were beautiful and very clean, very comfy stay, night and quiet and breakfast was brilliant. Staff in the morning also very friendly and a pleasure to have stayed there!

The staff were very friendly, the Inn was very clean and welcoming. I could imagine in winter it would be lovely and cosy with their log burners and comfy chairs and settees. Room was a nice size with tea and coffee provided in room. Breakfast was included in our price with a good selection to choose from.

Beautiful property in a perfect location. There is a car park within a minutes walk. Room was fantastic, tea and coffee supplies, fresh towels, crisp clean bedding, amazing comfortable bed. Hosts were really friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend this property and will definitely be staying again.

This is a very quiet ideally situated property. There are lovely period features and it is immaculately clean. I particularly liked the attention to detail such as shower caps, fan heater in the bathroom, glasses in addition to tea and coffee. The breakfast was tasty and cooked according to your tick list submitted the night before. Breakfast service was really good. Our room was small but absolutely fine. There was plenty of room to move around, plenty of light , opening windows and a little entrance lobby to hang your clothes.

Location was perfect. Side street from top town high street. Room was comfy and clean and had toiletries and plenty tea and coffee. Breakfast was lovely, tasty and hot and included selection of continental items cereals, fruit, jams etc. dining rooms well presented and plenty of space. Lovely set up. There’s even a sitting area with games and books. Lovely property

Great food and good wine choices, room very comfortable. Restaurant was very good, great staff and good food. The Spa pool was a bit dark and I prefer more light to sit and read if needed, also a little dissapointing not to have a jacuzzi in the spa but the steam room and sauna were good. Outside is beautiful, plenty of seating to watch the day pass by and watch the adventiures at the final green lol

Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice of cereals and pastries and a good selection of cooked breakfast in a lovely clean room with pleasant helpful staff and lots of different teas and coffee. very enjoyable. Dinner was cooked to perfection with an amazing menu to suit every palate and served hot and fresh. Room was exceptional and very comfortable and clean with amazing views from the big spacious windows letting in lots of light. The spa is amazing with beautiful calm lighting and a huge warm pool and a lovely steam room perfect for a relaxing day with sun loungers to chill on. lots of room in the changing rooms with lovely showers and on entry each time provided witha lovely fluffy clean towel and robe.

Beautiful views, staff were brilliant, really attentive and friendly. We got a free upgrade for our anniversary, ballon’s and an anniversary card left in our room which was such a lovely touch! The room was lovely, cleans and comfortable with beautiful views over the countryside. We had dinner in the evening and I have an allergy and it wasn’t a problem, they made sure everything was perfect and the food was amazing. The service was also top notch as well, speedy and really friendly. Reception staff were great as well, let us check in slightly early and really kind. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return again!

I really liked the way it was planned out, great value for money could bring the price down abit but the room was amazing very clean massive bed very comfortable, loved the access too the pool staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing even through we didn't purchase breakfast the hotel gifted it too us just overall amazing getaway would stay again .

From check-in to check-out everything was perfect. Receptionists were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Bed and pillows super comfy and had a great nights sleep. View from our room was fabulous. Didn’t use the pool but looked very inviting. Breakfast was superb and offered Gluten Free selection which was a bonus for me. All staff friendly. Views were outstanding. Plenty of free parking.

Lovely hosts, Sarah and Tim, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful Georgian townhouse. I stayed in the Chaucer room and had my own private door to the garden. The room had its own ensuite (toilet, sink, and shower) and was spacious, towels were fluffy and soft. The toiletries smelt lovely. The bed was comfortable. A selection of teas, coffees, (including freshly ground), and a electric kettle was in the room. The hosts also left a flask with cold milk, which was fantastic because it cuts down on those little plastic ones and you get a decent amount of milk. It did get cold during the night but the duvet kept me warm, however for anyone who feels the cold more, there is a water bottle available. I had a very peaceful, restful nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious. Sarah was lovely and when I said I couldn't have Quorn sausages she managed to find me Linda McCartney vegan ones. It's the little things that make a difference and I really appreciated that. Hot coffee, fresh orange juice, and wholemeal toast was a fantastic way to start the day. Thanks for a wonderful stay, and hopefully see you again soon.

We are mature cyclists. We travelled from South Wales to Shrewsbury along the National Cycle Network, stopping at four hotels en route. Of the four this was by far the most memorable. The hostess, Sarah, couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Our bikes were stored overnight in a safe secure spot. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the breakfast menu was imaginative and beautifully presented. We will remember this stay far more than the others

Beautiful stay at The Library House. Sarah and Tim were very welcoming and friendly hosts and their little dog Mabel was delightful. The Eliot Room was spacious and beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the super king sized bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was generous and delicious and the nearby parking was free with a permit provided by the hosts.

The Decor was beautiful, our room was spotless and the bed was ultra comfortable. Our use of the private garden terrace really made it special. Our breakfast was delicious, we also had tea and cake on arrival. Mabel the dog made our stay even more memorable. A truly beautiful bed and breakfast, in the heart of Ironbridge.

Hotel is situated in the centre of Ironbridge and very easy to locate from the directions provided by the host. We were shown to our room which was very tastefully decorated. The host then offered us tea and coffee and some delicious chocolate brownies, which were served in the sitting room. We were also given a menu with several breakfast choices, which also included cereal and fruit juice. In our room we also had tea, fresh coffee and hot chocolate, and we were provided with a flask of milk. The host made sure that we had everything we required and that we were comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend The Library House.

Check in very quick ,staff are friendly and very efficient .Room was very clean and spacious bed was very comfortable and the bathroom with shower was very clean ,shower was powerful and warm ,you can alter the heat yourself so can be very hot or cool ,good free wifi .Breakfast is a buffet breakfast plenty of choice from hot and cold options as well as drinks you eat as much as you want it is included in the cost ,it kept us full all day .

Large comfortable clean room, plenty of sockets and charging sockets. Helpful friendly staff. Bathroom was a good size, large shower, plenty of towels and clean. A few missing tiles but did not affect. Was pleasantly surprised regarding the food menu, plenty of GLUTEN FREE options, also at breakfast there was a GLUTEN FREE area with a selection of GF cereal and a GF loaf and a dedicated toaster, all other breakfast items were also clearly marked if they were GLUTEN FREE, as a celiac this was totally amazing, to be able to have breakfast and evening meal like everyone else was fantastic. WELL DONE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SHREWSBURY. Location was excellent for us as we had an appointment next morning and it was within walking distance. WIll definitely stay again.

location was good, the Staff were very Friendly and Helpful, the Room was Clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. the Bathroom was big and Spotless with a Great Shower, Best of all the bed was very comfortable, USB sockets were provided for each bed so phone charging wasn't a problem. We Had a free Breakfast with our booking and I must say it was very good, we were provided with the usual breakfast choices. Serials, toast, as well as a full cooked English with Bacon, Cumberland sausages, Beans, Fried Tomatoes, and Scrambled eggs all washed down with some fresh orange juice and coffee which was pretty good.

We love this hotel ,it is in a quiet area ,there is plenty of parking outside which is free to customers .We are always met by friendly smiling staff at reception who make the checking in process efficient and quick ,We had a standard double room on the ground floor there are stairs and a lift to the upper floor ,the room was very spacious and clean ,we weren't there to live in the room ,it was somewhere to get our heads down at night and so we were very impressed at how much space we had ,the bed was very comfortable too. Breakfast is included in the price which is an eat all you want Buffet style with plenty of choice from hot and cold food and drinks . There is a bar in the hotel and there is a menu for food if you fancy something to eat later with prices clearly shown ,there is also a vending machine for snacks like crisps etc . Even though the hotel is just on the outskirts of shrewsbury it is only a short Taxi ride into the town where there is so much choice for places to eat and drink to suit all tastes and there is a vibrant night life too . The hotel is close to major roads with links to the motor way .

The hotel was conveniently situated for our needs. The place was comfortable, clean and the staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly. The air conditioning was a winner in the hot weather. The bathroom was well equipped and the shower was excellent, a good size and the seat was helpful. The bed was very comfortable too, the room had all you would need. I liked the small touches like the weights in the curtains…I notice things like that. The breakfast provided had a good variety of food and was very much enjoyed.

The house I gather was recently renovated. It has been done to an exceptionally high standard. The Porters room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The room dad views over the gardens. The gardens were immaculate and I spent an hour walking around just some of the facilities. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I timed going to breakfast when many of the large groups were coming. Nevertheless it was a super breakfast. I shall book again asap I can’t imagine I could get the same price again but the room was unbelievable value.

This is a massive place. However the staff and other people around are so helpful you never feel overwhelmed The rooms a Very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was top class. With absolutely impeccable service. And very reasonably priced. There is a snack bar as well if you want something a little more casual Breakfast is buffet style. Loads of choice and all cooked and kept to perfection I honestly cannot give enough stars Amazing

Accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Reception staff not very accommodating.... We had to leave early on our departure day so we would miss our breakfast. We heard another guest also in our position order an early breakfast pack. I asked and was told it was prebook only. This was at 4pm. Receptionist didn't even find out if it would be possible. Just a short abrupt response... A member of our party later heard and saw somebody else appear to arrange an early breakfast box. Just thought it was a bit poor and didn't feel very welcomed, but bar staff/snack bar staff were lovely and attentive. Also water pressure in our room wasn't good, a dribble out of the sink taps.

Lovely clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space. Bar/reception area are nice and relaxing. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast, equal to many top hotels we've stayed at before. Restaurant is beautiful with views out to the garden. Beautiful grounds and outdoor spaces. Absolute bargain price for what you get.

Whilst the room was basic it was clean and had everything we needed, TV, hairdryer and powerful shower. Breakfast was plentiful and the views stunning. A room for two with breakfast in those surroundings for £60 is exceptional and all the staff we met were really smily, friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming hotel in a stunning location—perfect for a romantic weekend. The building itself is full of character, sympathetically adapted to provide all the comfort of a modern hotel while retaining its historic charm. The wifi should be automatic and included as signing on was tricky - although once we did connect the video streaming was fine and uninterrupted. We stayed in one of the larger rooms and loved the comfortable, quiet four-poster bed and the generously sized ensuite. On Sunday evening, we enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant, and special thanks to Mia, who was particularly attentive to my wife—her thoughtfulness was much appreciated. After dinner, we wandered through the lovely grounds, which made for a peaceful end to the evening. A fire alarm at 8 a.m. on Monday interrupted our final romantic moment, but the staff were quick to reassure us in person that it was a false alarm—thankfully, not our doing! Breakfasts were excellent every day, with a good selection of both buffet and freshly cooked options. We’re already planning a return trip and hope to spend more time in Ironbridge exploring the museums and rich local history on our next trip.

My wife and I stayed here with 4 friends returning from an RAF reunion in Newquay. Our plan was to visit the RAF Cosford Museum on the way home and the Valley Hotel proved an excellent base as the museum was about. 20 min drive away. The hotel is in a lovely position right by the river which the gardens run down to. A large free car park with plenty of room was a real bonus. Our room was large and airy with views over the gardens and river. Bed was comfortable and the room lovely and clean. Following a few drinks on the attractive terrace at the back of the hotel we ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food and service were great. Varied menu and wines at reasonable prices. Breakfast the next day was very good and the friendly, chatty staff couldn’t do enough for us. On the next night we followed the river path into the town where we found 3 pubs within 10-15 mins walk and ate at the Malthouse. Food was ok but not as good as the hotel restaurant to be fair! All in all an excellent stay made even better by the staff. At under £200 for 2 nights B&B for 2 people this was a bargain. So much to see and do around the attractive town, and the bridge, at Ironbridge as well; we will definitely be back again!

Great location, close to all the Ironbridge museums and a short drive from Shrewsbury. Hotel was spotlessly clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Wide choice at breakfast and the hot buffet breakfast was very good quality and kept refilled. Restaurant food was delicious too although the menu wasn't varied enough for our tastes so only ate there one night. We both had single rooms which were clean and ample in size. Tea and coffee supplies kept stocked in the room plus a bottle of still water. Lovely old building that has been well maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Valley Hotel last week. The hotel is in a great location for walking into Ironbridge and is set amongst beautify scenery. The room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant and bar were lovely with amazing food and views. But what really set the hotel apart was the staff - from reception to the bar, restaurant and housekeeping, all were exceptionally friendly, accommodating and helpful. Special thanks to Chris and the other man who was on reception duty on Monday and Tuesday night (apologies we didn’t get his name), for going above and beyond in recommending garages when we needed to have an emergency car repair. Their recommendations were very reassuring when we don’t know the area and they were extremely kind and considerate in following up with us afterwards. We will definitely stay again!

The staff were warm and welcoming. The bar and restaurant were comfortable. The food was delicious, and the drinks were great. The room was spacious, even with the huge bed, plenty of wardrobe space, and exceptionally clean. The view from the restaurant at breakfast was stunning too with the autumn colours on the trees up the hill. A large car park, which I don't think any of the hotels nearby had.
