What a unique property and find! It's another diamond-in-the-rough; seemingly out of place for what it is. The property as it sits is only 8months old... so everything inside is perfect and very well maintained. We had a 2 bed-room apartment-style room, with full kitchen and dining room. VERY helpful for our family, 4-person party. This was a fantastic stay, albeit entirely too short. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the service from staff are all without equal. I think my favorite part was how convenient it was to walk to get everything from food, to a haircut, to a tequila distillery tour. If I had to make mention of an area needing improvement, it would be something they probably had no idea would every be an issue. The seal around one of the bedroom air conditioners was not tight, and when it rained (which it poured, thunder and lightning included) my father-in-law woke to a wet face and pillow. Easy fix, just need to follow up with the craftsmanship after the building is complete. Overall, however, the place exceeded my expectations and deserves the rating they have clearly worked diligently to secure. I highly recommend this place either for a single night, or a short stay. You will not be disappointed. 😊

Nice clean but over priced and a little to far from downtown although I have to say that the stuff was very friendly, polite and helpful.

Hot water was not working and shower head seal was damage. We reported it and were going to fixe it. Overall everything else was ok. Oh no elevator to second or third floor. We have to carry everything not assistance. But morning person was helpful with directions.

Room was Lovely . Very welcoming and clean. Small issue we ran into. there was a roach with eggs on the table. other than that we enjoyed our stay and would be returning. Hotel room was is just a few blocks away from The plaza.

very cute hotel, staff very friendly, close to plaza and markets walking through the quaint Tequila neighborhoods we walked at all hours and always felt safe, there is no elevator at this hotel, so have to carry luggage up stairs.

I really liked this place for the peace and quiet and lovely inner courtyard, for the easy parking and the spaciousness of the room. The room is a bit dark but cool and quiet. A breakfast option right at the hotel would have been nice but there were plenty of local restaurants. I would definitely come back here and recommend others to stay. The price was also very good and so central to the main square of the town. The staff don't speak much English but can get by OK. Sweeping the courtyard starting at 6 am is a bit too early but the place is very tidy.

Room was spacious and pretty. Our specific room had a small living room, one open bedroom with two queen sized beds and another room with a door. AC in small room and in living room that freshened the open bedroom. Bed and pillow were just right for my liking. Bathroom had a tub. Toilet and shower entrance were very tight. Shower water flow was fine; water warm. Gardens are incredibly beautiful and peaceful! I highly recommend.

Great location about 3 blocks from the centro part of tequila. Lots of stores and restaurnts at a walking distance room was clean staff was amazing and views of hotel are awsome room was a suite for 6 people was very large and comfortable. will come back with my family.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Hotel premises were well maintained and clean. Rooms were clean and in working order. Beds and pillows a little stiff for my liking but overall a great hotel that captured my interest in staying again when I return.

We used the pool and were generally comfortable. Sad that there was no bar or restaurant. The beds were hard but the shower was good as was the AC.

Clean and comfortable room with unique modern interior design. Helpful and friendly staff who always greeted us with a smile. A great location, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town and a stumble away from two great distilleries!

Good taxi transfer provided (thank you Caesar) to airport and back arranged by hotel. Modern decor. Good brand new air conditioning unit. Very comfortable bed and good TV. Nice storage for clothes etc. Great views. Friendly staff. Large bathroom.

We were only here one night and barely in the hotel, but it had everything that we expected and needed. The room was large with a nice enough view, and the bed was comfy.

The Hotel Solar de las Ánimas is absolutely the best hotel in Tequila Mexico. The hotel overlooks the famous town square where the Tequila sign and church is located and a two minute walk to several tequila distilleries including Jose Cuevo. The hotel is so beautiful with several restaurants to choose from, a sauna, massage room, gym, valet parking and even a library. We stayed in room 305 which is a spacious room with a comfortable king size bed, large bathroom with a great shower, small balcony overlooking the pool, mini fridge, in room safe and a Nespresso coffee machine. The WiFi is wonderful and the air conditioner was nice and comfortable. The room has colonial style furniture and nice touches of luxury. The hotel has a big pool that sits in a Lucious courtyard and another smaller pool at the sky bar on the roof which was fabulous! The view from the sky bar was incredible and the young men behind the bar provided exceptional service! There are cheaper hotels in Tequila but this is the best hotel by far. We plan on returning soon!

This property is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is PERFECT! You are right next to the square and walkable to most parts of town. If you need a ride somewhere, the front desk is helpful in securing you an Uber or taxi. And the restaurant has by far the best food in town. Lastly, the rooftop bar and spa area is so nice. It was the perfect weekend getaway for my husband and me. I added some pics of the view from the rooftop bar.

The Solar is a luxury hotel of the highest quality! The rooms are beautiful and the whole property is meticulous. The staff is friendly and helpful. We love the delicious breakfast and excellent service. The sky bar with pool is one of our favorite features with great views and so relaxing. We highly recommend this hotel!

Everything was good about the room and the service but for the price I found the hotel was very cheap on extras. For example the coffee in the rooms. They allow one free coffee the first day only and then you had to pay if you had another during your stay over the next few days. Very cheap in my opinion and the same with water. Also almost everywhere else I have stayed provided a breakfast but this place not only did not provide a breakfast but the cafe had very limited breakfast menu if you could call it that. Even the dinner menu was very limited and I would rate the food a 3 out of 5. What I did like was the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was immaculate as was the room.

We always love and enjoy our stay at the Barricas. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is always friendly and helpful and who wouldn’t love sleeping in a tequila barrel! There are two restaurant on sight. One is a restaurant/bar for dinner dinning and the other for breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend taking a tour at the La Cafradia distillery. It’s fun and informative about all that goes into the making of tequila! Don’t forget to stop by the store on your way out to purchase a couple bottles of tequila to take home with you. It’s always a must! The new pool area is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy it due to the fact, we didn’t find out about it opening until late in the evening the day before we left. We were bummed about that, but oh well! Next time!

The overall experience is one to live for. I had seen this place on TikTok and to truly glad I got embrace the experience. This hotel has such a beautiful restaurant where it allows you to dine at night for a dinner meal and also breakfast in the morning. The views are impeccable you see Tequila plants all over the place which create the perfect scenery to create memories. Part of our package with the hotel include a Tequila tour within the property which was a very educational and exceptional experience. Staff are very friendly, respectful and attentive to requests.

Once in a lifetime experience. We stayed in the main apartment and not in one of the Barricas. The surrounding, view, barricas, the Tequila tour (which was included) , the free tequila all all day :)), the big cozy apartment , super friendly staff, comfy bed, great breakfast in Catrina restaurant!! Everything was perfect. And of course the ducks :)) I highly recommend !!

First things first, know your Spanish if you plan to come. This is not a big destination for non-Spanish speakers, making communication very tough for the average American. Barrel room was unique and kitchy. Clean, air conditioned, TV worked, bathroom surprisingly spacious. However the paltry lock on the door caused me a little anxiety, especially when there were crowds of 20-somethings wandering around the property (loud and likely drunk) in the middle of the night. The property is very secluded and there isn't much to do except go to the restaurant (which is no fun if there is a LARGE group of 20-something year olds singing at the top of their lungs and staff doing nothing to quell them) or do a tasting and/or tour. Oh! and about the restaurant, although amply staffed...service is SLLLOOOWWWWW. Plan to stay a while. On the other hand, breakfast (in a different part of the hotel) was included and delicious! This place is filed as a "one and done" in my travel journal.

I loved how peaceful it was and our bedroom was so beautiful and comfortable. All staff were so friendly and polite. It is a very beautiful place to be and not too far from tequila. We slept in one of the barrels, and their food was so delicious. The reservation we got it included a tour around the place, and we got to know about the process of their tequilas. Their breakfast was also delicious, and we got a little souvenir at our checkout. We highly recommend this property. There's also someone playing music by request, and he has a beautiful voice. A modern, secure upscale hotel with a great bar and restaurant. It’s about a 10 min walk from the main plaza. Owned by and next to El Tequileno distillery. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. Massive swimming pool. The bar selection of various El Tequileno products , reasonable prices, and friendly helpful service make this a great place to visit away from the max tourism. Spend your nights in the new and modern hotel. Spend your days in the massive pool and gardens. Spend your evenings in the fine dining restaurant and top shelf bar.

The less than ideal: location is a good 10-12 min from town's attractions / restaurants etc. Walk can be tough on cobblestone and poorly lit streets. Hotel desperately needs a bellhop service. Rooms that DON'T face the patio have a crappy view. Bar/restaurant could be open a bit longer at night. Positives: Amazing staff (helpful to a fault)! Stunning pool, grounds and courtyard kept super clean. El Tequileno is a primo tequila brand that can be toured and tasted and taken home. Breakfast and drinks were on point (get your cantarito and batangas here instead of in town).

Absolute perfection! The property is stunning and the location is convenient while keeping a sense of serenity. The rooms are very comfortable. Great beds and high quality linens. My room was spotlessly clean and housekeeping really pays attention to details. Dinner last night did not disappoint! The short ribs in mole were exceptional. I also enjoyed the ceviche starter. The bar serves up creative, quality cocktails and as stated above, the service was impeccable. I have stayed in a few local hotels over the years while visiting here but hands down Casa Salles is my favorite.

Casa Salles is THE place to stay when you're in Tequila. Every staff member we encountered was inviting and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are modern, quiet, and have nice amenities. The entire property is gated so you can feel safe and secluded in your little oasis. El Tequileño is literally next door and Fortaleza is a 5 min walk down the street. My wife and I are vegan and the staff was understanding and accommodating, as we knew finding options in the area would be difficult. Take a dip in the pool, order a Batanga at the bar, and sit under the 150 year old mango trees as the aroma of cooked agave fills the air. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay while in Tequila.

This place is amazing. The staff is very friendly. They know very well how to deal with tourists. Very accommodating. The rooms are very clean. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in in my entire life. The food at the restaurant is amazing and they make very good drinks as well. I am only staying here if I ever come back.

I love the Spanish look of the hotel it was very nice and clean and staff really friendly. Also enjoyed the restaurant, has a small balcony where you can enjoy the great view as well as the meals. Very Family friendly 😀

Beautiful property with a small feeling of an ‘hacienda’ style. Room was small but very nice. Bed was small for 2 people but comfy. Everything was clean with clean laundry smell. Staff were very friendly. We didnt use the pool but it was very nice and big. Parking was safe and secured. Location was good within a short drive to the main square.

We were happy with price and location. Secure parking was a bonus and rooms were very clean and in very good to excellent condition. Our bed was very comfortable. In-room air conditioning was excellent. Very apparent facility is very conscientiously maintained. Staff were very helpful.

The room was elegant and the bathroom luxurious. The layout of the hotel with open air hallways around a pool with additional pool area is beautiful. Air conditioning and private and secure covered parking was a real bonus. The staff was very friendly especially Manuel at the front desk. Great restaurant right across the street.

The inside of the hotel is very beautiful. Our room was clean. The gated parking was very spacious and safe. The front desk also helped us book one of our tequila tours.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Very walkable to Centro Tequila, only a few blocks say. My room was very clean, quiet and had a great shower.

This hotel is perfect for a few days in Tequila. It is very close to the tequila distilleries and the main square. It only costs A$35 per night and for this price you get 4 star value. The rooms are big with airconditioning and bathroom and has a casa particular like feel with an internal courtyard. Our room a small balcony the faced out toward the surrounding mountains which added to the ambience especially in the evenings. The staff were always willing to help. The hotel also had free wifi in all the rooms. I loved staying here! My only issue was the staff knew very little english however with a few words and a lot of sign language, this was overcome. We expect ed this in a small town like Tequila. Overall, a perfect base for a few days of Tequila drinking!

Friendly and efficient check. Moved to a room on a higher level on request with no drama. The room was small but comfortable with two chairs and with aircon. Only negative was lack of hot water on second morning. Good location close to centre of town, restaurants and bars.

Property was bright, clean & airy. They had a nice little rooftop deck overlooking the square which we enjoyed. The location was great in the center of town and a short walk to all the sights in town and distilleries. All the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful at all times of our trip. Will definitely be back

My husband and I are visiting Tequila for a couple of days and our friends recommended this hotel. We are very happy with our accommodations. The room is clean and spacious with great air conditioning and a comfortable bath with a fabulous shower. Breakfast is listed as available in the lobby but not readily available; someone has to bring it in. They do provide coffee in the atrium, which was quite tasty and infused with cinnamon. Our choice is to read the New York Times on our tablet with the decent wifi they provide and wait for breakfast to be made. The hotel is a half a block off the Main Street and right across from homemade ice cream. We would recommend it.

The hotel is very clean, comfortable and quiet. Additionally the people by the desk are professional, very friendly and helpful. They informed us very clearly and accurately of attractions, where to eat, where to park, etc. The hotel has very good Internet reception by the patio, where there is permanent free coffee. I could not ask for more. If you visit them, you will coincide with me. Salud!

We have a winter home on the west coast of Mexico. We frequently travel inland to escape the heat and noise. Tequila is our favorite puebla and we have stayed many times. Our first to Casa Dulce Maria but we are sure it won't be the last. The staff was attentive, reservation correct, beautiful mansion atmosphere, and the room was very adequate. As others have pointed out, rooms are small but very comfortable. We enjoyed hanging in the lobby/courtyard reading, checking emails taking a short siesta, and doing a lot of nothing. Two blocks from the main square, great shopping on all the side streets, and many food choices nearby. Valet parking took our car and we will see it on return. If a quiet, relaxing, peaceful Mexican Mansion is your flavor, this is the place. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for one night with another couple. we were delighted with the location, on the central square and adjacent to the church. we stayed in rooms that faced the square , with small balconies which proved to be a delightful window to life in Tequila. The bathroom was clean and reasonably modern. The WiFi was flaky. Front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Leti. worth noting: we went on the cuervo tour and the tequila city tour offered by the hotel. The Cuervo Tour was slick and touristy, the other tour was interesting and took us to another tequila factory which appeared much more genuine the city tour was great too. Off the square there are two tequila museum's, go with the Souza museum.

I really liked this hotel. Our room was great, clean, spacious, with comfortable beds. The location couldn't be better. We stayed 2 nights and the only complaint we had was the coffee. It was made at 1am and was very old by the time we got up. There is good coffee just around the corner so it was no big deal. April 15 was the town's 485th birthday so there was wonderful festivities in the square. Unexpected but we had a wonderful time.
