Nice selection of breakfast items. Excellent bread and rolls, good cheeses and cold cuts. The location is very quiet. Many of the rooms are located down a canyon so there is no street noise. Nice jacuzzi room.

The jacuzzi on the balcony was great. Think room was also very beautiful and spacious.

We had the best time staying hear, this place is very clean, very comfortable,and breakfast was perfect. the owners go out of the way to make things perfect. love the cook to order breakfast option. they even went out to pick fresh berries for the morning breakfast. we had the owner make us a well balanced dinner the last evening we stayed, it was so good. there is fresh lavender and lemon plants on the property. the lavender smells were awesome. i love the gates, this makes you feel so safe at night. we had the orange room with the balcony. amazing. slept with the window and door open all night. what a gem. just loved everything about it. we are looking to book again and again. Excellent location where we were able to explore the whole town and the historical sites on foot. The square where the hotel is located was fun and enjoyable to sit around and window shopping. Super professional, friendly and helpful front desk staff! Very clean and well maintained property with extremely comfortable bed and bedding. A superb breakfast in a quiet and tastefully decorated hotel restaurant with fresh and tasty food.

What a gorgeous hotel! Absolutely stunning g fromninside out. As soon as we got there we were greeted by Mattheus who was such a warming and welcoming person. Helped us sort out our parking for our hire car which was extremely close to the hotel and provided us so much detail on where to go and what to see. He also was there at breakfast service and was such a wonderful conversationalist. We only stayed for one night but the hotel room was spacious and clean and had all the entities you could possibly need. We had a light supper in the restaurant and the staff were so friendly and helpful. One particular man whose name regrettably I cannot recall was super kind and gave great service. He travels a lot in a day to be at the hotel over an hour each way. Despite this he was so jovial, kind and gave excellent service. Don't hesitate to stay here. It's a beautidul hotel and so well located! Parking for your hire car is literally 50 meters away. The hotel is in a beautiful square with other restaurants and bars within a few seconds walk.

It was great service and pleasant and courteous staff. Matheus and Edna were very personable. Edna, who was raised in Tomar, explained about the traditions of the community, interesting deco of the hotel, and "must see" tourist sites. Matheus greeted us the next morning and helped us with every question about our breakfast, parking and was exceptional in answering our questions. Both spoke English very well. Both of these individuals had attention to detail and are a great benefit to the hotel property. The room was very clean and spacious and the hotel was beautifully decorated with art work, elegant ceremics from Bordello Pineiros, Tiffany lamps, and antiques from the personal selection owned by the proprietor. The breakfast was exceptional and plentiful with many choices of breads, cheeses, fruit, pastries were "over the top", eggs to order and bacon. The juices were tasty and the hot chocolate was delicious. Needless to say, our stay was perfect and beyond expectations.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Republica we felt welcomed despite being hot and dishevelled from a big day of hiking. This was one of the most friendly receptions we have had during our two weeks in Portugal. Nothing was too much trouble, including room service provided early from the Restaurant Menu when the All Day Menu was not available. We requested an extra night and again, no problem at all. Breakfast options at the restaurant were exceptional and the service, equally as good. The coffee machine in the room was awesome, the beds luxurious and the bathroom stylish and clean. The minibar was well stocked and an abundance of room snacks were available.

The room was clean and comfortable. And quiet. Opened up onto a large veranda, though could be entered through a door in the hall, so I think any person at the hotel could use, but as at the end of a corridor set by itself, doubtful anyone knew about it. If relaxing on the bed could watch the television, with lots of different channels on a smart TV. Breakfast is the typical buffet in Europe and the coffee machine had decaff. Cozy nicely presented hotel, looking out onto the main square and castle battlements. Central to loads to see and do , and from what I could see out of the old town, a good bus connection.

Great hotel, friendly staff. The room was excellent quality, fantastic terrace with town view. Comfortable bed and a hydromassage bathtub. I also dined several times at the hotel restaurant which has delicious food for amazing prices, specially with their daily menu. Breakfast food was also good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, you won't regret it.

The room was clean. The reception was super friendly and helpful. And mostly and more important it was good location for first time traveller in Portugal, Torres Novas. There’s a restaurent on the main floor and many Terasses downstairs where you can eat or have a drinks ($). Plus the amazing view you have on the Castle! Wow

The room was very nice, with a great balcony with a panoramic view of the city Center. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Shame I was only there for 1 night!

This is very cozy and inviting small hotel. Loved how it was decorated. Made it feel homey. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. We also had one dinner in the restaurant and found the food very good. It is located in a very small community with nothing much around besides the manmade river beach. Their sister Aparthotel is close by and also has a very nice café/restaurant.The nearest town with restaurants etc. is around 5km away. The hotel itself though was very nice.

Had a lovely stay at Lago Azul Eco Hotel. Pool was lovely, wonderful views of the river, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable.

Wonderful hotel, incredibly located. The room was very large, with enough room for a couch, desk, and room to move around. The bed and pillows very comfortable. The bathroom was nice with a large overhead shower head. There were a lot of options for breakfast and all were tasty and well stocked. The staff was exceptional, especially Vasco who works reception and as a concierge. Vasco was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The location was exceptional: right in the historic section of town, close to the park, and walking access to the steps to the Knights Templar Castle and Church.

Beautifully renovated so as to offer exceptional comfort while also maintaining the charm of the old building. Our room seemed as if we were the first to stay - all new and fresh, with a comfortable bed n(Ana view of castle ramparts from the small balcony. The library and lounge were a great space in which to relax, with free coffee and an honour bar. Nice breakfast, too!

The hotel is in a historic building but with modern bathrooms, A/C and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Hotel entrance is on a narrow medieval street. We didn't dare to drive there and instead left our car at the parking garage a block away from the hotel. It's easier to bring your luggage, it's just a 5 min. walk from the garage. Parking is 6 Euro per 24 hours but you need to pay in advance at the parking garage counter on the first floor. We stayed in Deluxe Double room #106. The suite had a little sitting room with sofa, decent size bedroom with a small bar-refrigerator and coffee/ tea maker. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was the best part of our suite, spacious with a stylish tub on claw legs and a shower. Breakfast was decent with a selection of cheese, meats, fruit, yogurt and scrambled eggs.

What a lovely little spot in this charming city of Tomar. The hotel sits quietly on a corner along a very pleasant street through the old section of town , very near the old town square. It’s also an easy ten minute walk to the train station, so nicely situated for a variety of historical walks through the beautiful parks and by the Navao River. The hotel itself has been nicely redone, with a lot of comfortable, elegantly understated festures. We were happy to return here every evening after our explorations. Lots of wonderful restaurants very nearby. Breakfast is a fresh and delicious array of coffee, breads, cheeses and freshly prepared fruits and yoghurts- the best way to start the day. And the most wonderful thing about the hotel is the staff. They are all so well versed in gracious, genuinely kind and helpful conversation. We were struck with their hosting abilities and manners. Dagmar, Rita and Joao are to be commended for their excellence- Casa dos Officios Hotel is very fortunate to have them representing their business.

Our small third floor room 305 was impeccably clean and had an extremely comfortable King sized bed, nice amenities, espresso and tea and a beautiful view from the small balcony. The room was incredibly quiet for sleeping. The 2nd floor terrace with honesty bar was a wonderful place for a glass of wine and to watch the sunset over the castle. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and made good recommendations for area restaurants. The proximity to the river made for pleasant after dinner strolls.

This hotel has the most AWESOME deck with an inexpensive honor bar to look out over Tomar - the river, the castle, etc. It was cool and breezy and it was so nice to just sit out and enjoy the evening breeze after a jam-packed day of monastery hopping. My total bill for three 1/2 bottles of wine and 1 sparkling water was 12€. The shower was hot and strong and the room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious and expansive. It was in a perfect location with a nice BIG parking lot right outside the door and the DELICIOUS Yukul Pizza Restaurant just a 4 min stroll across the bridge.

We enjoyed our stay at the Thomar Boutique Hotel in Tomar. The hotel is nicely situated in the heart of the old town, easily walkable to the nearby cafes and restaurants. The staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint is that we purchased breakfast ahead of time, only to find out that the breakfast would not start until 8 AM, and we needed to leave for the Lisbon Airport at 7:30 AM. They were able to arrange a "breakfast box" for us that was marginal.

The location is perfect for the small town of Tomar. The facility itself was large and spacious, with all the amenities, which include restaurants, bar, grand lobby with plenty of seating, gym, sauna, indoor pool, outdoor pool, tennis court, and even a playground. The hotel is right on the river with views of the Knights Templar Castle in Tomar, Portugal, also known as the Convent of Christ as well as the river. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a nice balcony, the bed comfortable and they even had a pillow menu. Free self parking made traveling so much easier than the larger cities in Portugal. The staff was extremely helpful and informative. We would have stayed longer if we could have.

I paid about $107/night on average for five nights through Agoda. Insane value for money. Credit cards accepted. This is a hotel/resort. Giant suite of a room. Wifi. Aircon. Minifridge. Comfortable bed. Big bathroom with separate tub and shower. No end to hot water. Balcony with chairs. Excellent included buffet breakfast. Big outdoor pool with chilly water that offsets the heat. Also has a heated indoor pool. Decent gym. Sauna. Beautiful location on the river. Quick five minute walk to the main square in town. Local and inter-city bus stops very close. Walking distance to castle and monastery. Professional staff. Restaurant and bar on-site. Only quibbles I have are no USB port to charge your phone, and water pressure could be stronger in the shower. Otherwise, this place is a gem, and I didn't want to leave...

The hotel is very classy style: big, luxurious and very clean with a lot of white and golden decorations, snow-white textile table linen, shining tableware at the restaurant and snow-white bed linen with monograms in the rooms. The room was also very spacious with big balcony and a nice view. The location is very convenient for visiting Tomar castle on foot (highly recommended, very picturesque place). The breakfast was delicious and varied.

Where can I start ... This hotel is beautiful and perfect for many ways. The size of our room was great and the view was just beautiful from our balcony, we can see the Castle ! The location is perfect, short walking distance to the center of the town. The hotel has outdoor AND indoor pool too. Huge park area just hanging around and enjoy your day. Everything is very clean and flawless. And the breakfast... it is a feast ! Very big and tasty selection of warm and cold breakfast things, if you want it, you will find it ;) It's a big YES to recommend Hotel Dos Templarios to everyone.

A little difficult to find as it’s hard to see the hotel as it’s set back in the park and there is no signage. You drive over a bridge that looks like it’s no access. Plenty of parking once we found it! Spa small but great. Sauna, outside jacuzzi and small in door pool. We used it both days we stayed. Breakfast buffet ok. You can order eggs freshly cooked. We would stay again and we loved Tomar.

Lovely balcony and nice room, bed was super comfortable and shower had great pressure - it had everything we needed. The spa is cute - though pool is definitely not big enough for a swim, we enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi. Staff were great and it was nice to be surrounded by a park. Breakfast was passable, rather than great, but it was inexpensive, so cannot complain :)

If you are planning a visit to Tomar, consider this newly renovated, boutique hotel! Located within walking distance to nearby shops and cafes, it is situated on an island with views of the surrounding river. It is absolutely lovely!! We had a regular room with a balcony outfitted with comfy lounge furniture. The room is beautifully decorated with walnut floors, a modern bathroom, and very comfortable bed. My spouse completed two zoom meetings from the desk comfortably. Included are my two favorites—robes and slippers! The bathroom has a large makeup mirror and LED lighting. It’s modern, efficient, and beautifully designed. We ate at the hotel restaurant both nights. The service is impeccable. If you are fortunate to have George or Francisco as your waiters, ask for their recommendations. We enjoyed both dinners. Breakfast is similar—amazing offerings for a day of sight seeing. The hotel has a small spa. After climbing, walking, and driving, we took advantage of the sauna and hydrotherapy pool. Just ask for the required swim cap to go along with the large towels provided in the room. TripAdvisor photos are no longer accurate. Check out the pics I’ve added and look at the hotel website. We had a wonderful stay in Tomar!

So beautiful! Terrific amenities such as indoor/outdoor pool, massage therapist, fresh squeezed oj and papaya and fresh bread, amazing pastries and farm fresh eggs each morning. And soooo walkable! All the staff - guest services, dining staff, housekeeping were kind, helpful, gracious, and welcoming!! The hotel is set in a park on the river with walking bridges to each side. And our balcony looking over the park and river and phenomenal views of Knights Templar castle, which is within walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is on an island with the river which runs through Tomar surrounding it. On our arrival we could not see how to get onto the island and into the hotel grounds in our car, necessitating a phone call to the hotel reception. We were directed to drive over what appears to be a pedestrian footbridge which has a large ‘No Entry’ sign, but if look carefully, underneath is a very small sign saying ‘except for access to the hotel’, which we hadn’t previously noticed. Once in the hotel grounds parking is easy and the hotel is set in lovely surroundings. On entering the hotel we were greeted by the hotel receptionist (Patricia) who immediately made us feel extremely welcome. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was superb, and our balcony overlooked a green space and trees at the front of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and courteous. In fact something I really appreciated was the attention to detail, for example the staff noticed from my check-in details that my birthday fell during our stay there. Neither my wife or I had said a word so it was a complete surprise on the morning of my birthday they gave me with a slice of cake with a candle. The hotel is also centrally located so you can easily walk to explore the town and visit the castle etc. We very much enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely stay here again when we visit Tomar.

The hotel was very clean, modern and the room was large. The curtains kept out the light. It was very quiet. Air conditioning kept the room at a good temperature. Staff were friendly and welcoming you. Good selection for breakfast. Short walk from the station (7 mins)if you use the foot bridge over the rails.

The double bed room with river view is nice and spacious, the bed is very comfortable! Breakfast was also really nice, has many options (even soy milk).

A great place both for a stop over for one night and for a longer stay. Breathtaking views of the lake, nice territory, pool.. breakfast was good enough. Room was spacious and comfortable, but lacked the outdoor furniture for the balcony, which was a pity, because we would love to sit and enjoy the view. We also had dinner in the restaurant and it was pretty good and affordable - full menu for 25 euros/person.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, well designed, and with high-quality furnishings. Ample terrace with a great view overlooking the lake, wrapping two sides of the sitting room. There was a smaller balcony from the bedroom as well. The breakfast was also very good. The front desk person who checked us in was very polite and helpful.

I loved my stay at Hotel Kamanga! Let me start with the staff. The ladies working there are so very friendly, kind and hospitable. They spoke English, but also translated things slowly in Portuguese, since I want to learn this language. They gave excellent tips about things to see and do. Always with a smile, making me feel very welcome. The room was fantastic! I booked a single room, but thought they gave me a double room because there was ample space and a bed big enough for two people. It was clean, nice hot shower, good wifi, and a decent breakfast served in a cozy area. It was quiet during the night. The hotel is located just a short stroll from the old centre and surrounded by restaurants and bars, and there's a mini preço around the corner. The best part is the view. My room was located on the third floor, overlooking the town and castle. A comfortable room with an amazing view! Can highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back!

Excellent place, clean and comfortable room with shower, toilet. The hotel is maybe a bit old fashioned, but everything works fine, including wifi and is nicely decorated. Very close to the old city. Very tasty breakfast buffet. The lady running the hotel is very warm and kind. She gives a city map and lots of info about sightseeing. We felt home there instantly. We even got a room with splendid view on the old castle.

The hotel is located a short walk over the bridge into the old town. Its set in a block just off the main road facing the parish council offices and benefits from some free street parking. We had a room on the third floor with a view across the river to the historic centre including the Knights Templar castle. The room was basic but clean and was accessed via a lift or stairs. There was a continental buffet breakfast served in a basement room. The residential block also has banking facilities and an assortment of shops. The bank turned out to be quite useful as the hotels card machine wasn't working on the day. There are and assortment of restaurants and bars across the river in the old town in the streets around the main square.

Lovely family run hotel, minutes walk from the historic centre. Hotel owner is mother (who doesn't speak English) but daughter speaks excellent English, both are warm and welcoming. On street parking outside. Room was pleasant, with clean bathroom and linen and A/C. I booked two nights at this hotel. Travel to and from Entroncamento was by train. Access to the hotel was very simple and very quick. My room was ready before the allotted time. It had plenty of room, the wifi signal was excellent, and the room was exceptionally clean. Staff members were helpful and efficient. Breakfast was included in the price. It was of a basic, continental style. I used the hotel as a base to visit the National Railway Museum and the city of Tomar, a short distance away. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Hotel checked all my major boxes: cool, quiet room for sleep. Convenient private parking a few steps from hotel. Train station 5 minutes walk across the square. Town is a train hub. Great alternative to driving into Lisbon. Modest, but adequate breakfast. Not a lot of frills, but very functional, clean, up-to-date. Food options nearby. Well designed and operated small town hotel.

The hotel is in the historic centre near all the shops, bars and restaurants. The property has been totally refurbished so the room and facilities are modern and good. The room has air conditioning, flat screen tv, private bathroom and wifi but the price of the room was very economical and included a continental breakfast. The prices charged were before the pandemic. It’s easy to drive out of the town from the hotel. Parking is limited but great for a motorcycle. The staff were helpful and very friendly.

We Travelled to Torres Novas to visit friends and stayed at the hotel Dos Cavaleiros for the first time arriving late at night due to a delayed flight we could not have been given a warmer welcome our room was very large with lovely views over Torres Novas & it's castle from the balcony. The hotel makes an excellent base with lots to see & do in the surrounding area, and we found it very good value for money with a continental breakfast included in the price. We found all the staff friendly & helpful and the hotel is kept very clean, we would defiantly stay again.

Staff friendly, hospitable, and professional. Very close to park, shops, old town sights, restaurants and Convento de Christo.

The location is great - right on the river in the historic center. Facilities are basic but perfectly adequate for the price. No breakfast was offered, but the friendly and helpful receptionist recommended an excellent cafe just around the corner.

Everything was pretty good. Good localisation, tasty and big breakfast, yummy lunch. Don't have feeling that You are in hotel, you feeling like in home. For me, everything was perfect. The room was cleaning everyday, internet was enough for me, silent and the atmosphere this hotel is amazing. Owner friendly and helpful, good point for visiting Fatima and so on. This area is very beautiful.

The hotel was spotless. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, well served and available for a good time. Restaurant for evening meal was popular with locals. Food was very good, prices very reasonable. Again, service was very good despite the fact they had a large party in an adjacent room. Overall for a very restricted 2 star hotel excellent.

Everything was nice and perfectly clean, staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good and plentiful. Location was also perfect for our needs (main goal was easy access to the Medieval Market in Torres Novas) and makes it easy to explore nearby points of interest like Tomar, Constância (including Almourol Castle) and Torres Novas.

Great breakfast, kind and helpful host, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated room. Wifi-doesn't really work. Parking is easy. Good deal altogether.

Great location and excellent accommodations. Recent remodel with new comfort amenities, elevator, swimming pool/jacuzzi and top floor deck with view of castle. Next door to wonderful restaurant and across street from mini food market/convenience store. We loved this property.

The whole place has been recently beautifully renovated, is very comfy and has a lot of charm. The place has a nice swimming pool and a jacuzzi which, however, are not heated. The back patio is linked to next door high-end restaurant but be prepared to paid much from a limited menu. My room was large and the bathroom great with a beautiful old ceiling and stylish small details such as an expresso coffee machine. Great view from the rooftop and the location is very convenient, only two blocked from the old downtown bridge. The only surprise I had was to find out that it was not a hotel but an AirBnb type of accommodation, a detail that the Hotel.com platforms does not explain clearly. I would definitely recommend it.

Everything about O Paco was wonderful. The beautiful rooms, in particular our spectacularly decorated ceiling, the included small office space with coffee maker, the clean and modern bathroom with a heated towel bar and modern furnishings and lighting that blended perfectly with and complemented the historic structure, the excellent breakfast and our wonderful host and charming breakfast server: all these combined to make our stay at O Paço really exceptional. The bed was so comfortable, the breakfast room, with it's view out over the pool, and our personal welcome all made this stay really exceptional.

Beautiful hotel with many exceptional details in the rooms. High quality furniture, bath products, giant shower. One of my favorite stays, extremely clean and cozy. Family room with 2 beds was very spacious , lots of seating, little desk, 2 televisions. Great coffee with generous portions, lots of bathroom products. Location is ideal, next to old town, gardens. Easy to walk everywhere and minimart across the street. Owners very friendly and helpful. The terrace is shared, has a great view of the castle. Kids loved the pool, very luxurious.

This hotel is in a great location in Tomar - a 5 min walk to the Main Street with tons of restaurants and shops. The hotel is small, with only 6 guest rooms, which ensures it is quiet and never too crowded. There is a lovely pool area and a great roof deck with a view of the monastery and castle. The owner, Sonia, is so kind and welcoming. She gave us a map of Tomar with suggestions on things to visit and places to eat. We took advantage of the daily breakfast buffet, which was yummy and convenient. Our room was spacious, clean, and very quiet. We would love to stay at O Paco again!

Our room was bright and very clean, with a nice sized bathroom and excellent shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided a really nice breakfast each morning (we paid for breakfast). Thomar Story is located in a perfect location to explore both sides of the river, and the walk up to the Castle and Convent is about 20 minutes. It's an easy 5 minute walk to the cathedral and main square, which are beautiful lit up at night. Free parking across the river is 5-8 minute easy walk. Our room was very quiet at night.

The Thomar Story Guest House was perfect! It was super cute, comfortable, clean and in a great location. They were amazing and very welcoming and went above and beyond. They breakfast was fresh, inexpensive and not crowded! Location was walking distance to restaurants and the Castle and Convent. Wish we would have stayed longer!

The hotel is conveniently located near the main square, the monastery, the river, restaurants, the taxi cab stand, etc. There is no elevator but that wasn't a problem for us.

Renovated old building, very quiet, cosy and spacious inside, free parking. Host was super nice i would stay it again. Small local pub is 2min away. We got fresh bread in the morning!

This modern yet charming apartment was central to several sights, with a spacious living room that two couples could comfortably relax in at the end of a long day of travel. Brigida was one of the warmest and most welcoming hosts that we have had in 10 years of travel; who patiently helped us with some travel plans. We recommend this property highly and without reservation!

Amazing place! Highly recommended! First of all, it's a very friendly host. She explained everything and introduced her place fast. The house is super clean and in a very quiet location. It's decorated and furnished with unique and stylish furniture. We love that place!

Brigida’s place was perfect - comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. It felt like a home away from home, with great attention to detail. Communication was smooth, and the location was convenient. I highly recommend staying here and would love to return!

Excellent accommodations. Clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The location was super peaceful, lodged in the Portuguese countryside—-and at the same time only a short walk away to the Tancos village (which includes a train station). And last but not least, the owners were incredibly kind and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Loved this hostel and the lovely staff. The female dorm was spacious with high ceilings , and big window. My stinky Camino laundry was washed , folded and smelling fresh and clean for €8 . Breakfast buffet was simple but tasty with fresh rolls, jams, juices, and cereal. Multiple bathrooms for choice of dorm style or single toilet . Great location and vibe!

Fantastic host! He ensured the stay was comfortable and explained the city and where we could visit. The room was cozy and had hangers, towels, enough space, and power outlets. The bathroom was clean and spacious enough. The windows led to a great view of the castle!

Very clean hostel, very clean kitchen. Our room and bathroom were very clean as well, we had good sleep in comfortable beds. Central location, only couple of minutes walk to sightseeing spots and shops.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place and enjoyed every minute. Nicole, Jan and Louis are super hosts, very welcoming, helpful and make you feel at home immediately. Our room was very cozy and clean and the breakfast was excellent, we loved especially the homemade jam and the fresh orange juice. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the pool (also very clean) and the flowers and the trees on this beautiful property. We will definitely come back again.

It’s a lovely quiet oasis with a swimming pool. It’s nice to get out of the busy city and stay in this setting. The rooms were clean and I loved that the owners kept furnishings that fit the room. The bed was comfortable and I had a restful sleep. The breakfast was very good with several options offered! The homemade jams and fresh squeezed orange juice were amazing. To top the this of amazing were the owners Jan, Nicole and Louie, so friendly and easy to chat with!!

We loved our stay at Casa do Vale! The owners were very welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The room was beautifully decorated, quirky with attention to detail, full of vintage vibes, and traditional Portuguese decor. At night, we had the stove burning for a little while, works beautifully, adding comfort and a rustic feel to the place. Casa do Vale is set in a quiet, beautiful area with ancient olive trees. At night, we were able to do some star gazing from outside our room... We couldn't believe how clear, shiny, and close stars and planets looked!!✨️ The breakfast was excellent, personalised, and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa do Vale, and we hope to visit again in the future. We highly recommend it!

The hosts are a wonderful couple that are very warm and welcoming. There’s a beautiful garden in which you can relax and rest and the location is truly cozy. The home made breakfast is rich and tasty! If you are driving around Portugal this B&B is highly recommended.

Perfect location in a car-free zone among shops and restaurants. There is a paid parking lot a short distance away. The professional, welcoming, and charming manager, Rico, made me feel immediately comfortable. The well-constructed, beautiful wooden front door presaged a comfortable and pleasurable stay. The foyer was inviting with natural stone flooring and walls, comfortable chairs, and stained glass in arched wooden window frames. The elevator made easy work of getting my heavy luggage to my room, and same for my 29er bike, which fit easily (vertically) in the elevator. The room was decorated with soothing, neutral colors. The tasteful wall hangings were genuine paintings and a pastel. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, with nice bedding. I got a good night’s sleep. The communal, modern kitchen had a very good, working refrigerator/freezer. The bathroom had updated finishes and was very clean. I would stay here in a heartbeat when next in Tomar. The price was very reasonable.

Perfect location at the heart of Tomar. Beautifully appointed. The entrance hall is a "wow". All seems very renovated and well maintained. The shower was just amazing (one could use a shower head and a rainfall shower at the same time), and the mattress was just spot on.

Location: walking distance to shops, stores and sites on a pedestrian street Overall: modern and elegant inside an older building, with pleasing decor- oils and watercolors, whimsical statuary and ceramics, quality prints. Room: small but well arranged, with comfortable bed and good bathroom. Kitchen: modern and well equipped with lots of essentials- vinegar and oil, dry pasta,, coffee and tea, cereal, fresh fruit, etc. Adjacent dining table. Lounge is small but has comfy sofa and wing back chairs, as well as good TV.

The location is truly excellent, in the heart of the old town in a beautifully renovated property virtually in the shadow of the Templar castle. Very fresh & clean, fully equipped and tastefully decorated and fitted-out. Very convenient for bars and restaurants, and a public car park just 150 metres away.

Clean, cosy, comfortable, central, easy to check in. There is a lift, which is useful. They also have a kitchen that you can use, we didn't, but we did help ourselves to the cereal/coffee/tea available for breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Wifi is fast and allows streaming without issues. Alexandra is the perfect host, and her fluency in english was an excellent bonus. She's very friendly and great with suggestions and knowledge of Tomar and the many attractions that are only minutes away. Even the little dog (Lady) and cat (Kelly) are adorably friendly and welcoming. If we travel to the area again, DEl Rey Guest House will be our first choice for accommodation. Excellent location only a very short walk into the town, but very quiet and like being in the countryside. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with everything we needed; lots of plates, pots and pans, microwave, oven, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, etc. Very comfortable bed. Good shower with lots of hot water. Everything clean. Alexandra responded very quickly to any questions, speaks very good English and was very friendly.

This guest house is conveniently central with everything you need for self catering and has a great view of the convento de cristo. The owner, Alexandra, is very welcoming and friendly and made our stay really enjoyable. Kelly the cat and Lady the dog are great pets and came to say hello everyday!

I was really happy to spend a night at this lovely accommodation! The host is incredibly friendly, and the guest house is cozy, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you might need. Plus, it's just a 15-minute walk to the beautiful old town of Tomar. Staying there was such a pleasure. There’s also a sweet dog and cat on the property — both are very cute and well-behaved. They don’t come inside the house, so it feels perfectly safe even for people with allergies. I truly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again!

View on the lake is amazing, undoubtedly. Balcony is super good. Eating breakfast with the look at the lake is very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Place is nice overall but needs more attention.

The view is amazing, the staff is incredibly helpful and the facilities are very well kept. The staff was very attentive: they upgraded our room for free because there was a better one ready and available; my boyfriend spent his birthday there and they prepared little surprises for him; they prepared us lunch out of hours. There are also a lot of activities to do, such as kayak or biking.

It is an amazing place for a leisure stay. Nice view, calm, silent! Great facilities and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Breakfast is also very good

We were very pleased with our rooms, well equipped and everything to great standards. Beds were super comfortable with nice quality bedding. Lovely shower and good toiletries. The area is very quiet and relaxing at night yet had a close lively italiandian restaurant open till late hours with ample menu and delicious food. Wake up feeling refreshed to a dreamy charming Portuguese lifestyle. Our breakfast experience was great, a decent and generous variety for a buffet with friendly morning staff. Good location and beautiful town to explore. Highly recommend this accommodation and would happily come back.

We loved Constancia! The accommodation is well located in the village so it was easy to walk everywhere. There is free parking just down the road if you have a car. The room was bright, comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly, efficient and polite and the breakfast was an absolute bonus - fresh and delicious! We would return with no hesitation!

The hotel is very well located, the town is nice and calm, the Zézere river at 50m. we had a superb lunch very close by and the entire impression was of a very friendly place. The hotel staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast simple buffet. very good value for the money! Warmly recommended.

Great hotel in a nice little town, would definitely recommend to check it out. Due to the close proximity to the water it will especially be worth a visit during the summer. The owners are very helpful and friendly and their English is good. We stayed on the first floor and had a cosy, light room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and included many local and homemade products! Five stars all around.

The location is great, impossible to be more central, with great restaurants and all the attractions within a few minute's walk. The room was well-equipped and comfortable, with large windows and blackout shutters, making for comfortable sleep. The bathroom facilities were top notch; the shower had world-class pressure. Staff were very friendly and quick to resolve issues: we reported a blown lamp in the hallway and it was fixed immediately.

it was only upon our arrival that we had the lovely surprise to realise the hotel was once a convent. We had booked a basic room for AUD$85 including breakfast and arrived on a Monday night. We checked-in early and were upgraded to the one bedroom suite. The lovely staff walked us through Gorgeous antique filled rooms with original stonework and floorboards, we even stopped to admire a charming little chapel before arriving into our rooms. very comfortable double bed, bright and welcoming room. Hair dryer and vanities were provided, as well as a TV and small fridge in the lounge room. In the morning we had barista made fresh coffee and a very generous breakfast. We had been invited to dine in the restaurant the night before but there were not any vegetarian dishes available, so we kindly refused.

Beautiful historic building. Fantastic staff, friendly and helpful. Especially Rafaella on reception and Guilleme in the bar. Quiet and peaceful location outside Constancia. Exceptional value for money.

Although the facilities are a bit rustic, the location and atmosphere are AMAZING! The staff was also wonderful - we enjoyed the bar, a delicious meal at the restaurant, a dip in the pool, and the spacious suite of historic rooms.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór, owned by the wonderful Nuno, and I cannot express enough how delightful my experience was. The Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór hotel is a splendid 17th century property with cottages and surrounding grounds. On arrival at the hotel we were welcomed by the property owner with Scuby the family dog and were provided with a description of the hotel facilities and attractions in the area. We stayed in a charming cottage adjacent to the main house which was equipped with self-catering facilities and wood burning heater. The view from our cottage was of a paddock with donkeys and sheep. We visited the 12th century Ourem castle and had drinks in a delightful cafe in the nearby village. We had an excellent evening meal in the Botega restaurant in Ourem and a splendid breakfast in the hotel. During breakfast we met some other very interesting hotel guests who had dined in the hotel the previous evening. They clearly had much enjoyed their dinner. After hearing about the dinner provided in the hotel, we questioned the need to travel to eat elsewhere. In summary, we had an extremely enjoyable stay at the hotel.

The farm and the house are amazing, beautiful gardens around and old object details that represent the history of this place. If you are planning a time off to relax with your family, this is the place to be. Inside the farm beside beautiful gardens, you can relax over a nice swimming pool, a bar, and some games you can play with the family. The breakfast was very good and fresh. The staff are simply very kind and helpful all the time. Mr Nuno Vasconcelos is very supportive and can give you great tips for restaurants around.

This place is really amazing - beautiful buildings and surroundings. I had only booked one night but regretted I didn't book more. Besides from the lovely scenery, my room was absolutely perfect, everything spotless and the breakfast really good. Moreover, the owner was extremely welcoming and helpful, which was such a nice extra touch.

Location of the flat is excellent - very central and could access everything on foot. It was great to be able to easily pop back during a day of sightseeing. Even though it's so central, it's a really quiet street and we weren't disturbed at all. Groceries are a short walk away. The flat is very spacious and the bed is huge and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower, although hot water weakens quite quickly. Thelma was very helpful and met us promptly on arrival. She also let us leave our bags for a few hours after checking out, which was really great to get a few more hours of exploring in before leaving. Tomar is amazing! Our first time here and absolutely loved it. There is loads to see and a rich and interesting history to learn about. The convent and aqueduct are particularly stunning, but just wondering the streets in the sunshine is lovely. A perfect weekend getaway to a small town without many crowds (we came in May 2024). You absolutely don't need a car - we came by train from Lisbon and it was very straightforward, and everything you need is walking distance.

Located across the street from the river, it’s beautiful. Large modern bathroom/shower with rain head. Very comfortable bed. Parking just a few short steps nearby. Walk to everything. We were met at the door by a very polite young lady (I’m sorry I forget your name …Alexandra?) We needed extra bedding and she fetched some immediately. The bed and couch were extremely comfortable. The small kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely shower and separate toilet and sink.

Very spacious and clean ground floor apartment right in the center of Tomar. Comfy double bed. Lots of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Paid parking nearby. Apartment offers a large living room with separate shower and toilet. Nespresso coffee machine and some capsules and some cooking facilities. Ideal for a few nights stay. Owner met us at agreed time and all was very smooth.

Central position but in very quiet quarter. Very spacious with modern design. Kitchen equipped with everything. Flat is very clean. The best bed ever we had. Highly recommended.

Constancia is a quiet, pretty little village and it was a pleasure to stay there in such a lovely guest house. Paulo our host was fantastic and even took us on a little walking tour. The guest house was lovely, clean, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was great and far more than we could eat. I highly recommend staying here if you just want to take some time out and relax. Thank you Paulo for your time and attention to detail.

The host Paulo is super friendly and helpful. Everything is well maintained and super clean. The dubbelbed was small for 2 big people but the matras is very good. Breakfast was great with locally prepared confiture and other products. We will come back.

I have to say that the stay was exceptional. Super service. The owner took us around the town and showed us the different sites. Then booked us a table at a lokal restaurant that was exelent. We got a breakfast that was worth the cost of the stay! Then the owner wrote us a recommended tour for our continuing journey. I can really recommend this small Guest House

Wow…this is such a great place to stay in Constância. I fell in love with the house. Paulo is an amazing host and he goes above and beyond. The beds are so comfortable and our host brought us breakfast in the morning. Can’t say enough good things about Paulo or his B&B.

We had the one bed apartment with kitchenette. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is very modern with s good shower. The bed was very comfortable too. There is a lovely courtyard to sit in and it is nice and quiet there. It has easy onsite parking. Maria Manuela was very nice and helpful. It is only about 15 minutes out of Tomar which is a great place to visit.

Casa da avo Genoveva is an amazing place, it takes you back in time, very relaxing and comfy, the host was very kind, she waited for us till late at night for check-in, the house is sparkling clean has everything you need, the swimming pool is nice with lots of gardens and trees .

Convenient & close to Golegã Horse fair. Our group of 7 was very comfortable in two double rooms & the apartment. The owner recommended a wonderful local restaurant for dinner. The apartment had a lovely fireplace.

Huge home with several private rooms on a huge property in the countryside, 20 minutes by car from Tomar. More like a B&B than a hotel. Host is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant, right down to allowing us to leave our dog in the room even though we told her he might cry. Spotlessly clean with screens on the windows so you can sleep with them open and enjoy the fresh country air. Lovely varied breakfast, including eggs, which is so appreciated by North Americans. There’s even a pool. totally worth the drive to the city.

We had a lovely spacious apartment and our cat was very happy in the apartment as she had direct access to a courtyard. The gardens had lovely large trees for shade and a sparkling pool for swimming. Maria was very helpful and friendly.

Luis is a gentleman, the house has everything you need and great WiFi, plenty of food for breakfast and a really comfortable lounge to relax in. There is a bath as well as showers so you can have a relaxing bath if needs be. I really enjoyed walking up the hill to the house the few times I did it, it really does make one feel good when you walk it and the view is beautiful, all in all a great stay and will certainly be back.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The room itself was really clean and the environment was quiet. The breakfast can be cooked with the fully equipped kitchen it offers, very tasty. Wonderful stay!

This property is very old and has been renovated with authenticity. it is comfortable, spacious and totally charming.

The house is very cosy, and can easily accommodate a family. The room is big, the bathroom was clean and everything was working. Big TV, many channels. Very friendly and patient owner. The place is a bit out of Tomar city and it took us a time to find it, but the host was very patient and in contact with us many times until we found the place.

The accomodation was good for the price, the place was clean, the landlord was very helpful and met our needs. It is a small village, close to Tomar where we had dinner. It is a good place to spend a night and continue your long journey.

The villa was modern and very clean and comfortable. The property has a lovely view of the lake and a great swimming pool which was always clean. The surroundings are very serene and quiet, which was perfect for our relaxing weekend away. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and peaceful. Our accommodation was spacious and spotless. Could not fault it. Amazing views over the lake It was very quiet when we were there and the only bar/restaurant in walking distance was open just the once. Fine for us, but be prepared.

Breakfast was too much to eat at one sitting, delivered fresh to the door. Rooms super organised and spotless. Great attention to little details. Incredible mountain and lake views, salt water swimming pool, fruit trees, fab! So quiet! The owner/managers Jaime and Vera could not have been more welcoming and helpful.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property, we were even provided with some extra hours on the property after check out since we had to attend an important zoom call. The villa is very close to the public beach and a small beach bar with tasty burgers. Zazere village is 10 min drive with other good cafes. The hosts of the property are very polite and helpful

We loved Tomar and all of its history, and this was the perfect place to stay before our tour!

Good location on the beautiful and peaceful street at the center of the town. The view from the balcony is stunning. The apartment is newly furnished and is kept extremely clean. The marble stairs leading to the apartment is so welcoming. We enjoyed the stay so much. We got all necessary supplies. The staff at the hostel nearby served well as a support to the self checkin system. we especially thank the gentleman who received us and helped us with the big baggage up to the third floor.

2-bedroom apartment was exactly as described; everything was great! Clean, comfortable, fantastic location right on a main pedestrian area with many restaurants/cafes/etc. You can see the castle that overlooks the town from the windows/balcony. Friendly and responsive host met us to hand over the keys. Would definitely return to both this area and this apartment.

A newly renovated place with charming owner. We felt very welcome. Great sunset mountain view, great breakfast. Location well placed to drive to nearby river beaches and towns. Well priced. Room had everything we need, bathroom was nice, bright and clean. Property also has a small pool that we could see being cleaned and chlorined every few days. We didn't use the pool because we went to river beaches that were 10 minutes away by car. But everyone else seemed to enjoy it very much. Property also has a clean kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, also a BBQ outdoors... perfect to pick up some groceries and do some self-catering.

The property is exceptionally clean , across the whole house including the kitchen , private bathrooms and the one on the ground floor . The beds and pillows we found really comfortable and the room/house smelt really nice . It’s very nicely designed and decorated . The kitchen I think should be advertised much more because it is SOO good , one of the most well stocked , designed and usable kitchens I’ve stayed at , which makes me think it needs to be advertised more . The dining room is very nice and has a television , actually nice coffee from the coffee machine and nice teas . Outside is beautiful and the view is exceptional.
