Demanding hotel, the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good, copious and delicious. It was perfect.8

The staff - mr. Nenad was exceptional, very helpful as the kitchen was closed he prepared delicious meal because he could not leave us hungry. the ambient of the hotel is very chic, you can lock your bicycles, rooms are nice, big and clean.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and allowed to put our bicycles in a safe place in the (unused) cafe area We had a very nice vegan meal in the dining room. What made our stay exceptional was the way we were looked after the next day, as overnight devastating floods swept through the whole region, and we were trapped by deep water and swift (and deadly) currents swirling all around the hotel. Water and electricity were cut off, so no lighting, toilets, showers or wifi. The staff went out of their way to look after us despite the heartbreaking mess the water was making to the lower floor of the hotel (a foot deep in places). After we were evacuated by emergency services the staff looked after the bikes and luggage we had to leave behind, until we could collect it a few days later. We will never forget the generosity of the hotel people, and the people of Dravogradu, for looking after two Australian tourists when there was so much chaos all around, and we hope that the hotel gets back to normal as soon as possible.

We arrived with bikes Hotel arranged a location for storing them on safe place. The room was clean and air confitioned so perfect for hot days.

The staff was amazing, they would even let me park my bike in the hotel. The room was great, clean, breakfast was good, too.

We recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness was impeccable; everything was spotless and well-maintained. We were delighted with our stay and thought this was one of our best hotel stays. So many things to say...Everything was exceptional, from the room and facilities to the surroundings, the biking options and the eating. And most importantly, the staff has been amazing. Especially Natalija, who welcomed us in the reception, was so kind and helpful - she was a great contact during our whole stay and made us feel very welcome, comfortable, and guided - also helped with our biking planning. A perfect example of hospitality. The bikes were also of great quality, for the first time tried the e-bike and loved it. We thank all the staff, who were also very helpful with the biking prep. as well as quickly posting an item I forgot in the room :) Additionally, the restaurant is also lovely, everything we ate was delicious - the quality of ingredients and a wide variety of choices. We definitely plan to go to Hotel Grof regularly and enjoy & explore further the surroundings...Highly recommended

This was the 2nd time for us in this hotel, and we enjoyed again a lot. Very comfortable and clean room, well equipped, suitble for any needs. The sauna is perfect, including tee, coffe, water and selection of tasty fresh fruits. The most enjoyable is the kitchen of the connected restaurant. Hardly to find any negatives on it. The same valid for the breakfast. The staff of the hotel did everything to make our stay unforgattable. Special thank you to all of them! The hotel is also equipped for bikers, hikers and skiers targeting the nearby hilly regions. For us this hotel a real hidden gem, where we will come back again and again.

I stayed at the Hotel Grof for 3 day biking holiday. We loved three things about this property: A) the food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. the yogurt was from a local farm. prices were nearly half of what you get at a similar hotel in Ljubljana B) the rooms and facilities were top notch. clean and modern. they have some nice stylistic touches in the rooms, dining areas and even some hidden gems throughout the property. C) we did three days of cycling. the hotel is a perfect launch point for Biking adventures. Matic, the biking guru, helped us greatly by making customized routes, dispensing advice and even led us through the Logarska Dolina with explainations that made it definitely worth the effort. an amazing experience.

Our second stay here. I am even planning a separate special dedication trip to enjoy few days at this hotel 😀. Such a nice place! Clean, comfortable and very functional, kind of relax friendly. The staff is very professional, there is a beautiful view from thw balcony! No smells of cigarets etc. You can hike arround beautiful hills. Biiiiig bathroom and shower room. Wonderful restorant and cafee at the place. Very affordable prices. Thank you!

20 min drive from Ljubljana but 100% worth to come and stay here. The location offers a view to the mountains, piece and quite, even though it's close to the highway. The room is exceptionally comfortable, fully furnished, great bed, great interior design. Basically everything which you can expect from 4-star hotel. There was even a room service. Great AC and spacious bathroom, with all cosmetics of very good quality included. The breakfast and how it was served deserved 5 stars, very tasty, variety of choice, local cheeses and many more tasty food. The choice of coffee also there (machine or hot brewed coffee). Especially can recommend the restaurant: the service and food was great, for fair prices. The receptionists were helpful.

The hotel has a great design, it looked so nice and cozy. Dinner was amazing and the breakfast was delicious, diverse and with quality options, loved the bio apple juice. Very friendly staff, prompt and helpful. The room was super comfy and clean. We were in transit and it was very convenient to be so close to the highway.

On our route so the location was perfect for us. Extremely comfortable, modern, well designed standard room. Food choices in restaurant were excellent and staff were attentive and spoke English. Food was delicious and very moderately priced. Breakfast was exceptional with choices of hot and cold buffet items and available either indoor or on terrace. Adjacent spa available.

The friendliness of the stuff (restaurant as well as Hotel) was really exceptional. The hotel is clean and in a perfect condition, even the shower sprays into desired directions (smile). The rooms offer enough space and despite located roadside it was quiet inside. We are a group of motorcyclists and find best conditions in the area. We consider another (longer) stay in the future to explore as many of the small roads in the closer and more far areas. For bikers with lower experience in planning their tours the hotels offers a lot of tour suggestions. The restaurant serves really very good meals. Breakfast is sufficient on its average level. To be honest, the only thing we did not appreciate was the (very low) temperature of ham and eggs and the size and hardness of the small round breads. Not a big issue, do not see it as complaint but a feedback. It can easily be corrected. In general: thank you, GROF for a comfortable stay!!

Great Restaurant for Dinner and Café for Breakfast. Modern and comfortable stay very close to main Connection between Maribor and Ljubljana. Friendly staff, good equipped and modern Gym. Great value for Money. Definitely recommend this for a short stay during travelling!

Extraordinary hotel with surprising interior. Very modern. It’s located right on the highway exit. Very spacious and quite rooms. Staff very helpful and polite. Car charging station of a great capacity. We had a lunch at the restaurant CAMINO which is at the same complex. We ate grate Argentinian stake and a fresh bison stake. Kids had Napolitan pizzas and the food overall is top notch. Highly recommended for those who want top quality fresh food and a contemporary modern hotel.

Very modern hotel. Clean, comfy and large beds. On the breakfast was wide variety of different foods. Staff were also very professional and helpful. Next time I wouldn’t miss on their great restaurant Camino.

The location is very convenient, right off the highway. Property easy to find with plenty of parking space in front. The surroundings and surrounding views are beautiful. Check-in was fast and easy. Staff was extremely nice/friendly and spoke some English which helped. Breakfast was very good. There is a restaurant on site. The room was large, clean and looked new. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. Plenty of outlets. Wifi worked great. The back facing 'walk-out patio' was very nice. With the windows closed and the room facing the back, I could barely hear the traffic from the front. I think I was the only guest on the floor, so everything was nice and quiet. I can't speak to the noise level and quality of soundproofing when there are other guests around or when windows are open and highway is busy with cars. I enjoyed my stay very much. Great value for the price.

Staff was super kind and helpful. The apartment was much bigger than I expected, the room and bedroom was clean and also had enough space. WiFi was strong and free. A TV was also on the wall, no time to switch it on. A little terrace was belonging to the room, I took the opportunity to sit there for a short time. The house is next to the main road, but it was not noisy at all. My motobike received a special care that I truly appreciated! The breakfast was included, it was fine, for dinner I ordered wienerschnitzel, which was amazing. I received all care of the staff during my stay. The nature is close to the place, it is a calmful and peaceful area.

Having driven through Europe, from England our final destination was Slovenia. We stayed in this lovely family run hotel to experience what the rural mountainous Slovenian life was like. We wanted to star gaze, switch off from technology, screen time and busy lifestyles and simply enjoy being in nature. I can tell you it did not disappoint. The family that run this hotel treated us like one of their own. We stayed in the newly developed building of the hotel and our room was beautiful. We had a wet room with walk in shower, balcony and lovely modern clean bedroom which was comfortable for our stay. The food and breakfast at the hotel was really enjoyable and we thoroughly enjoyed sampling the local produce (including yummy pumpkin oil on bean salads). During our stay nothing was too much to ask of the lovely staff that run this establishment. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to have a true Slovenian experience. I rarely revisit hotels but I will be back to this region and hotel because it was such a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Amazing hotel with oversized, clean, comfortable room. Comfortable chairs and beds with thick Hugh quality linens. Modern bathroom with rainfall Shower head. Tasteful and up to date decor. Super friendly check in and restaurant staff. Huge totally private wellness area with hot tub, sauna, infrared, waterbed and showers for a reasonable fee. Great massage just 1 minute away coordinated by hotel. Amazing dinner experience. Breakfast spread has a huge variety of locally sourced meats, cheeses and yoghurts and homemade breads and jams. Farm fresh eggs cooked to order. Delicious coffee. Beautiful background music as you fine. Wish I could have eaten more!

Charming little hotel, located just around the corner from the main city street. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations or small details that make you feel at home. The wellness area (charged extra, but with a nice discount for hotel guests) is a real highlight – it works on a private basis, so you can truly relax without crowds, making it perfect for couples or anyone looking for privacy. Breakfast is another strong point: it’s rich in local specialties, fresh pastries, cheeses, and seasonal products, so you really get a taste of the region. Rooms are cozy, nicely decorated, and well maintained, with comfortable beds and all the amenities you might need. The atmosphere of the whole hotel is warm and personal, very different from big chain hotels. All in all, it’s a perfect choice for a short city break or a relaxing weekend. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who values comfort, authenticity, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We love everything! From accommodation/ rooms are fantastic we stayed in 2 rooms and both are excellent!!! We love the everything, from design of the rooms, beds were really comfortable 10 out of 10, Breakfast is heaven!! From homemade jogurt, delicious ham, amazing sausages, soft delicious bread, and my favourite homemade juice i love it love it love it!!! Staff are amazing accommodating and friendly but Petar is just amazing his does all he prepare you coffee, chocolate what ever you want and even give you fresh squeezed juice. He remembers you and very friendly,,💕 he also prepares the egg as you wish. I would like to say thank you for doing things more and make our vacation more unforgettable. We will definitely come back. This is the best hotel and restaurant you could choose! Peter is an exceptionally professional host: he is attentive, efficient, kind, and always finds the most suitable solutions to meet your needs, often going above and beyond to surprise you! :) We chose the hotel sqince 2 years because of the quality of the rooms, and also the restaurant. This time we had 2 amazing dinners for our birthday anniversary. The food is extremely qualitative, we are eating better there than in France haha ! If you are looking for a restaurant where you are having not only a good meal, but also a great experience I definitely recommand it. Sasha was our waiter for our 2 dinners, and he is very professionnal ! We loved the Karin's and Igor's ;) cuisine, it was such a delicious meal each time. You can be surprised, amazed and fullfill at the same time ! :) And also the breakfast is really delicious, I like the fact that they are making eggs on demand, and serving you the best juicies ever. Everything is local and delicious ! Thank's to those people and the efforts they are putting to be as close as possible to perfection, you can only be happy coming to Hisa Ancka :)

We had the most amazing time at Hisa Ancka. The rooms are beautifully decorated as per the pictures, spacious and comfortable. The hotel's restaurant serves amazing cuisine and the included breakfast spread of local cheese, bread and deli are delicious. We booked the spa and it was lovely since we had the entire space to ourselves. The most fantastic part of our stay is the staff, the owner Peter in particular is very hospitable and made us feel right at home. The hotel even went to length to prepare a surprise for one of us who had a birthday at the hotel. All in all, this was a perfect stay for us and we would love to visit the hotel again for our future visits.

I liked the calmness and the nature, when we were there it was snowing and everything was covered with snow. You could say that we were truly in winter wonderland. Amazing location and really a great place for bonding. The sauna and jacuzzi were inside, which I really liked. The bed was also comfy and the kitchen was really nice, it contains everything you need. Also, the whole village concept is really nice, since it represents Slovenian culture.

Beautiful place with adorable hosts and very comfortable apartment for all of us, even for our dog. Very comfy bed and very delicious breakfast. This place is amazing, we'll surely return sometimes.
