When we arrived we had no idea what to expect, we had to climb a lot of steps to reach the hotel but wow it was worth it. The hotel sits in the heart of the old town, our balcony was looking over the sea. It is so peaceful up there compared to the busy beach area. The service throughout was great, the staff friendly and the owners who we met obviously take pride in their hotel. The breakfast in the terrace restaurant was different every day. Our room was cleaned every day. We had the deluxe room with 'kitchen' outside, we didn't use it, it was a 2 ring hob. I didnt look to see what crockery there was, but we had coffee on the balcony in a morning. There are tons of restaurants on the sea front but the ones in the old town including Kalaja which is part of sunset hotel/apartments were special with delicious seafood and other options. We had a gorgeous meal on the private beach watching the sunset. The private beach (concrete and stone area with steps to the sea) was an added bonus, you pay 5 euros per lounger with parasol as a guest of sunset rather than the usual 10. It's a nice area to sit by the sea. Great value for the cost. We would certainly stay again. Would recommend the 10 euro boat ride available from the harbour it was a great day out.

Spacious room with large balcony overlooking the sea! Lovely to be in the 'old town' which is 'car free' hence very quiet! The rooms are part of restaurant KALAJA (Sunset is their bar on the rocks overlooking sea). If you get a taxi from the bus station ask for KALAJA restaurant as much easier to access and find accommodation! The room had very basic 'self-catering' - cups/glasses/plates/ kettle/cutlery. We had one meal in the restaurant which was good. Very friendly hosts.

WOW! Sunset Old Town is the most wonderful place to stay ! I booked for a few days and then stayed a week longer. The views, the beach, the swimming, the food and Senada the host and all the staff are just GREAT. Why would I leave if didn’t have too and trying to find a better place would be impossible (I would have happily stayed a month if could ) The rooms are comfortable and everything you need is close by , you can walk down the stairs of to get to town but there is a little supermarket just around corner if you can’t be bothered. Honestly I have travelled a lot and this is one the best places I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying.

The view from the room was absolutely incredible!! Almost a full 180 degrees uninterrupted of the ocean. The stay is located in the old town, which in Ulcinj is not the main area to explore, so it is very quiet. As a bonus there is a rock beach that the hotel owns, where guests can get a free sunbed, which we enjoyed.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed, making our stay truly relaxing and carefree. The hotel itself is stunning—elegantly designed, spotlessly clean, and located in a perfect spot that made getting around so easy. One of the highlights for us was the pool area, which was beautifully maintained and offered the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The on-site restaurant was also exceptional. Not only did it offer breathtaking views, but the service was outstanding and the food… just amazing. Every meal tasted like it had been lovingly prepared at home—comforting, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. It truly reminded me of something only a caring mother would cook. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and there is no doubt in our minds: we will definitely be coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. From the moment you walk into the building, everyone is there smiling and happy to greet you. The hotel was also newly remodeled and everything was modern and very, very clean. The rooms are spacious and the view of the ocean from the balcony was AMAZING and BREATHTAKING! The food they offered was delicious - there was a variety of different meals and they even cook some options in front of you, fresh. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences my husband and I have had in Europe. I highly recommend visiting this location if going to Ulcinj, as the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was welcoming and pleasant. :)

It is a calm and nice new building on the hill, that offers sea view and fresh air. Friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Bathroom was very clean too. Small pool but very nice , we enjoyed it. Breakfast very tasty . The playground space near the restaurant is a great idea .

Hands down, I’d say the best part of our stay here was the food. Breakfast on the first day was a beautiful cheese, veggie and meat platter that set a precedent for the rest of our stay. The views from the restaurant are spectacular and you can even see Albania on non-cloudy days. Loved dinner too which was available from 7pm. Also, the family that runs this hotel were so unbelievably kind to us and drove us to a different beach each morning, perhaps because my friend was pregnant. They were so sweet and considerate. Our room was spacious and bright and I slept like a baby on the comfy bed. Housekeeping was always on point seemingly starting the second we left the room for breakfast…our room was always sparkling when we came back. The hotel also happily prepared a surprise for my pregnant friend in the room ahead of our arrival even though I didn’t give them too much notice. They truly made us feel like home here and we’d come back for the people. Big thanks to our waiter who entertained us daily.

had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. I especially loved the restaurant on the 4th floor – the view is absolutely stunning! The pool is located just across from the hotel, and there’s also a private, more secluded pool that’s perfect for relaxing. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming – you really feel at home here. I would gladly come back again!

My sister and I stayed at Hotel Freiburg for 6 nights and we both enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel staff were exceptional as nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing with a vast array of cold and warm options. The waiters were very helpful and offered to make fresh omelettes too..It is a quiet location but most things are within walking distance. The owners and staff were very helpful arranging transport for us and all the reception staff were very polite. Really good value for money the accommodation was very spacious and had every amenity we needed for our stay. Swimming pool is on the top floor and we sat and chilled there for a few hours. We were very fortunate to have found this hotel as you would be hard pushed to have all the facilities and kindness from the staff from another hotel.

I loved the room and all surroundings and views. Breakfast was lovely, quick and we could choose from variety of delicious bakery creations. Staff was friendly, helpful, young and very efficient. All our needs were met and we felt very welcomed. Very quiet place and good fresh clan air. We prolonged our stay as we were very satisfied. Thanks!

Amazing hotel, great big buffet breakfast. Perfect pool and rooftop area. Comfortable beds and really friendly service from the staff and the owner. Prices for drinks were very good too. Good location 20min walk from the old town. We basically had the pool area to ourselves one day which was perfect :)

The hotel food was great, unfortunately we came before the season started so the restaurant wasn't fully operational. I saw others comment how there isn't much diversity for breakfast and in truth there wasn't, but what was available is really good with a little variety in pastries. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service! I would love to come back again if possible. I encourage you to enjoy the view either from the hotel room or from the restaurant/lounge-pool area it is definitely worth the visit.

There was everything we needed in the house. It has a wonderful sea view. You can sit on the large terrace and enjoy the view. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We woke up on the morning of the last day and when we went to our car to leave home, we realized that the car's battery was dead. They found a solution to our problem in a short time. We thank you once again for your smiling faces and help. It is definitely preferable.

Spacious room, large , private balcony with comfortable chairs. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Everywhere was super clean. Good choice of food at breakfast and plenty of coffee. We enjoyed sitting outside to eat this meal. We hired a car and there is private parking which suited us very well. This hotel had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable . Long Beach is about a 10 minute walk and we used the hotel as a base when visiting Lake Skadar. The hotel is run by an extremely kind and helpful family which really made a difference. I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back to it . It is outstanding value for money.

Hotel is look like to be new, close to the main street in a new tourist part of Ulcinj. Appartma is cute with small kitchen and have exit to terrace with wiew to surrounding from the hill. Bedroom is comfortable, beds were quallity matresses. Badroom with shower is small, but still enought comfortable. Owners were very friendly and like to talk. Wife prepared tastefull fresh breakfast with many local dishes such as " ùštipci, pite, krompiruša" and a lot of mediteran vegetables on their way. Dinning room is quite large with panoramic windows on jard. It was spring time out of season and swimming pool was not actual. It is a great location to travel to Long beach of Ulcinj and Ada Bojana natural reserve. On the other side you can visit cute Ulcinj with small beach and old town. With this location in summer time you can find great holiday in beautifull Monte Negro to avoiding crowds.

Benny is the most devoted and helpful hotel manager we have ever met ! He contacted the car rental company when we had a technical problem with our rented car and persuaded them to bring a new car to Hotel Ajana. His whole family (his wife, brother and parents) is like that: friendly, helpful and very much committed. The hotel has excellent parking facilities (safe and free). On our floor there was a kitchenette so that we could make some tea. The kitchenette is ideal for a family with children who want to prepare something small so that they can eat it on the balcony of their room(s). Breakfast is varied and includes local dishes which were explained by Benny's dad. The hotel is easy to reach and it is very quiet at night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and large, with a good balcony. Private good bathroom. Everything worked very well in the room. The hotel has a very tasty breakfast. Apart-hotel is very nice, with modern design and well-furnished rooms. The roof-top bar and terrace with two jacuzzi and live trees are fascinating. The staff is very polite and qualified. The service is great.

Exceptional experience 🤩 Travelling around with 3 small kids it's very challenging to enjoy the romantic evenings since kids fall asleep earlier and we have to rely on these extraordinary accommodations to enjoy a nice dinner with my spouse. Even if you are staying somewhere else, it's really worth it to stop by even for a night. The castle itself is very cozy and romantic with lovely bars and restaurants. Located at the very top of the castle makes you feel like a king. The host is so lovely that brought a bunch of toys for the kids, obviously kids fell in love with her. The breakfast was so amazing that easily worth 2-3x the price. The most important thing for me was that while kids were sleeping in the spacious rooms, we got to enjoy an unforgettable romantic night on the spacious balcony and didn't feel like missing anything from the night out buzz. Strongly recommend it since absolutely going back anytime I'm around.

The apartments were clean and spacious, not luxurious, but comfortable enough. The view from the balcony is amazing and the building is right in the old town. If you travel by car, there are free parkings right outside of the old town. The host was friendly and helpful and didn't mind our late check-in.

The hosts , Fera in particullar , who did most of the hands on duties , were very friendly , generous and accommodating . Communication before and during our stay was great and they speak several languages . We had the small studio on the ground level which was basic but met our needs fine with a stovetop , fridge, adequate dishes and utensils . It had 2 large windows which opened wide overlooking the patio and sea . But the very best part was the large , detached patio just outside the bedroom with a table and 4 chairs with breathtaking views of the sea. We spent a lot of time here just relaxing and enjoying the sun , ocean and even the storms . Fera served a lovely , delicious breakfast to us each morning out here which was so enjoyable . This family take pride in their propeety which has been in their family for 500 years . We enjoyed our week here and would not hesitate to recommend or return . The Old Town was small but interesting and quaint and Villa Marinero is in a perfect location to wander both the Old Town and down to the beach and city center . As it was later in the season we did love the fact that there were less tourists and it was quietier .

Location was sensational! Overlooking the Adriatic sea, the first floor apartment is situated in Ulcinj’s Old Town. The apartment has a large balcony where we enjoyed sunset drinks and could relax after a day exploring. There is a kitchenette for self catering if you choose. Our lovely host, Fere provided a lovely breakfast for €5 each which was delicious and incredibly filling. Very kind and helpful staff. There is a lovely semi- private waterhole/ swimming area less than a 5 min walk from the apartment and lots of restaurants and bars within an easy walk. We definitely recommend this property.

Highly recommended. The villa is in an excellent location with views over the sea and the old town. It is kept exceptionally clean and shoes are kept off inside. Our room was well equipped with a small fridge and a kettle and small stovetop in the adjacent balcony where we took in the view. It had a nice bathroom with a good shower. The owner, Feira, was very friendly and helpful to us, allowing us a later check out as we were unwell. Stephen

Marian made my short stay at Adriatic Apartments as great as it could be. I had a late arrival planned anyway but then my bus was 1.5 hours late and he was there when i arrived at 12:30AM to quickly get me checked in so i could rest. He was very helpful, giving me advice about where to jog, suggesting vegetarian friendly restaurants, even thoughtful enough to leave an umbrella outside my door when it started raining. The room was not necessarily fancy but it was comfortable, and had everything i needed, included a mini fridge & even a drying rack for my wet beach stuff. The location was perfect for me, as I just wanted to chill at the beach for a couple days and it's 2 min from the long beach. If you want to party or visit the old city you'll need to take a taxi or stay closer but this is great for beach time and a relaxed atmosphere. You've still got plenty of choices for dinner and places to hang out in the evening. I would definitely recommend Adriatic Apts and would stay again if I'm back.

The hotel is in a quiet location just across from the start of the Long Beach. Parking was easy in their lot next to the property. We were greeted with a welcome drink on the large and comfortable shared terrace space with an excellent view. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and they made our little daughter feel special.

Everything was perfect, the apartment was clean and warm and it is conveniently located within a short walk from the long beach and easily accessible from the bus station. There’re several grocery stores and a big supermarket right next to the apartment, combined with a fully equipped kitchen it was easy for me to make my own meals. It was very quiet, exactly what I needed for a short break by the beach. Thanks a lot!

Owner is friendly, place was clean and perfect better than described

The location is great—just a 10-minute drive from the city center. The place was clean and well-maintained, and the owner was exceptionally friendly. There was a slight odor from the bathroom, but it didn’t affect our overall enjoyment of our stay in Ulcinj.

The location is splendid- just a short walk from all the essential shops and the beach. At the same time, the property is fully self-sufficient, offering everything you might need right on-site: a pool, jacuzzi, café, massage, cosy and well-equipped rooms, reliable internet, lovely terraces, and convenient parking. What truly sets it apart is the host and the family running the place- they are exceptional people: warm, friendly, and always ready to offer perfect service and support. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable.

Fantastic hotel, easily the nicest one we’ve tried in ulcinj. Real life was even better than the pictures. The hotel owner and his family are lovely; nothing is too much trouble and they were so friendly and kind, particularly to our little boy. The room was spotlessly clean, with a well supplied kitchenette area. The balcony doors are fabulous- you can’t hear any noise at all from outside and there’s both a mosquito screen and net over the door. The comfy beds and air con allow for a great nights sleep. The wow factor is the pool; it’s even better than on the photos. The jacuzzi is wonderfully relaxing, the kids pool has its own water feature and there are lights in the evening which turn the whole thing into a treat for the eyes. There’s also a well stocked bar for breakfast, coffee, alcoholic and soft drinks. The location is also superb; you are a 2 minute walk to all of the restaurants (highly recommend Lovac and the Royal), bakeries and supermarkets and a 5 minute walk from the beach. There was also a fairground 2 minutes walk when we were here which our son (4) loved! Hopefully we will see you next summer!

I recently stayed at this apartment and had a wonderful experience. The place was clean, spacious, and exactly as shown in the photos. The location was perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and public transportation, yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. The apartment had all the necessary amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and comfortable bedding, not to mention pool that was amazing. I only spent one night here, so the review may not be very detailed. The property is located in the Gjerana district, right on the road from Ulcinj towards Velika Plaža and Ada Bojana. The apartments are about 3 km from the center of Ulcinj, so it is worth staying here for a longer time if you have your own car. After checking out, I didn't have to walk back to the center because the host kindly drove me to the bus station in his car. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby; there is a Franca supermarket nearby; and a little further is hipermarket Voli. The Long beach (Velika Plaža) begins less than 1 km from the property. This is a perfect location for those who prefer to spend their holidays near this beach. The bed is comfortable, the room is small and basic with air conditioning and a wardrobe, and there is a TV for those interested. The bathroom is right next to the room; there is soap, hot water, a towel — what else would you need? Just behind the bathroom there is a large terrace with a table and chairs. You can prepare a simple meal here (there is a fridge, kettle, stove, and sink) or just sit outside. Probably the biggest attraction is the swimming pool, especially in the evening, when it is beautifully illuminated. Just to see these lights, it is worth booking a night here. In the morning, you can eat your pre-ordered breakfast right next to the pool. The entire facility is very clean — the owners care about it, and it shows.

My sister and mother stayed at Blue Star Apartments for 5 nights, and they had a wonderful experience! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making them feel right at home. The hosts were incredibly kind and polite, always available to assist with any questions or requests, which really added a personal touch to their stay. The location was perfect – close to the beach and markets, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. If you're looking for a comfortable place with amazing hospitality, Blue Star Apartments is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

A fantastic location. From the window of the room and even better from the terrace besides the room you have a greet view over the sea. Maybe 5 meters below the terrace of the room (to be shared with the guests of the only other room) is the terrace of the Antigona restaurant. While the restaurant guests definitely pay not only for their meal but also for the spectacular location, you have it already paid with your room. Sitting for hours in the evening on the terrace with a bottle of wine and looking over the sea is real holiday. The room itself is simple, just a bed and a bath room (no TV but reasonably good WiFi), good shower, clean. Reliably working air condition, which is absolutely necessary in summer. Even though not paid for, the hosts allowed us to use the fridge and the equipment of the little kitchenette outside of our room. The owners are lovely. Very good value for money. If staying in Ulcinj we would try to stay there again, definitely. The accomodation is located in the old town (a pedestrian area), you can't stay at a more scenic neighborhood in Ulcinj.

Great location in the heart of the old city and right next to the sea. Incredible view from the apartment window and terrace. The layout of the apartment is very convenient — perfect for a couple. The sofa in the living room is very comfortable, and the bed (mattress and pillows) was also perfect. There are three beaches nearby: Sunset Beach (rocky but with steps down, 2 minutes away), Liman Beach (rocky, about 10 minutes), and a small sandy beach (about 10 minutes). We tried them all and decided there’s no need to go to the Big Beach :)

Staying in this lovely apartment in the old part of town was truly a memorable experience. Situated at the very top of the building, it featured a beautiful terrace with a stunning panoramic view — the perfect spot to relaks. The flat was fully equipped, cozy, and provided a high level of comfort. The host was incredibly kind and warm, making communication easy and pleasant. Right next door, there’s an excellent restaurant run by a man full of passion and energy. The food was absolutely delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Altogether, it was a delightful and memorable stay – highly recommended!

Amazing view and location. It is so worth the steps. Very peaceful and quiet, and the history gives it soul. Near restaurants and coffeeshops nearby within the old town. Views from all rooms in the apartment, and we had our own breakfast at the terrace outside with other guests. Nina is a wonderful host. Also loved how the blinds made the rooms dark enough to sleep in. Spacious.

Staying at Apartments Antigona was fantastic! The location in the heart of the Old Town is perfect, with easy access to restaurants, and shops.
