Veryvery near the train station. Breakfast was way better than the usual Scandic chain hotel breakfast, much more to choose from (more value for money). I happened to have a room with own tiny sauna and even not that tiny jacuzzi. Service was friendly. Will definitely pick Astor instead of Scandic if ever again in Vasa.

Great location right opposite the railway station and city center around the corner. Such a cute room with a massive bed and a clean bathroom. My friend had a bigger room with its own sauna and that was lovely! Breakfast room is beautifully decorated with old furniture and fresh flowers on each table. I found everything I love for breakfast! Great variety! Also had lunch, the crab toast was huge and delicious! Only negative things were that my room in 4th floor was quite chilly in the night. The radiator was warm and working, as was the hot air pump installed on the wall. Yet it was cold and the floors were cold, too. Shower had very poor water pressure which I find annoying. However my friend’s room in 2ng floor had good pressure. Staff was friendly and attentive. Someone recommended this hotel to me and I am happy to recommend this, too!

When entering Astor you feel the winds of history in the always so civilized city of Vaasa. The interior has old charm but is recently refurbished and is very fresh. The bathrooms are on the brink of being luxurious in this hotel category. Parking EUR 5,00/24h some 150m away in a garage. Very friendly staff, breakfast good and everything very fresh. Can warmly recommend this hotel. Local restaurant recommendation: Restaurant HEIM down by the waterfront.

The Lady that was at the Check-In was super friendly and explained everything so easily. We found the parking very quick. It's close to the hotel. The furniture in the room is older but very clean and has it own charm. The breakfast was very nice and had many options. It seemed like that they handmade most of the food at the Buffet. The breakfast room was cute too. It looked like we are in Santa's living room.

Henry treated us feel like VIPs. He was professional and thoughtful. The room was comfortable and well furnished. Room service did a 👏 great job tidying up the room and gave fresh towels. The sauna was a fantastic, free service that we could use between 5pm to 10pm. Clean and well equipped with towels, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. Center of town location and proximity to supermarkets, restaurants and shopping.

Very comfy, central and clean rooms. Hotel restaurant is fantastic! Laid back, great food and drinks. We had a super relaxing weekend and I would definitely stay again.

The breakfast buffet was good and included a variety of hot and cold food, fruit, breads, pastries. My room had a good view of the public square, a walk-in shower, kettle with coffee/tea, and good internet connection.

Very friendly and service oriented staff (and perfectly trilingual Swedish, English and Finnish), excellent location in the middle of Vasa, comfortable beds and great breakfast.

It was overall good. But there are some small things that need to be changed. First of all a shelf in she shower is needed . There is no place to put shower gel and shampoo. And secondly why we can not open the windows??? I know it is close to the roof and it needs to be sealed for security reasons but you can put a kind of child lock on windows and people can get some fresh air at least. It was really disturbing to felt like you stuck in a place with no fresh air.

Our room was neat and nice-looking with a good view to the sea, park and the small beach. We even saw geese, an oystercatcher and a swan in the yard, which gave this place a nice nature feeling. But at the same time the location was just a bridge away from the Vaasa city centre and by the bridge there was the nice Hietasaari beach. The reception and dining room staff were friendly. The receptionists spoke fluent English, Swedish and Finnish. The breakfast was good and varied and the dinner was also nice. There is a possibility to visit the nearby Tropiclandia spa and hotel guests receive a discount. The only negative aspect was that there was no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in the shower, because apparently the cleaner hadn't filled the bottles. It seems very inconvenient if we are supposed to use the hand soap and reach for it while on the shower.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my business trip. The service was excellent from start to finish. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything working perfectly. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming. The breakfast was especially impressive, offering a versatile and tasty selection of both hot and cold options. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Overall, this hotel provided great value and comfort, and I would gladly stay here again. The only minor downside was that my room’s radiator was a bit noisy at the night.

Very nice room, beds &sea view. I didnt know the hotel was renovated so I had no high expectations. In superior room remote adjustable beds and curtains with remote control👍🏻Peaceful colors. Few minuses: a bit cold room temperature, no coffee cream at breakfast(only milk & oat milk), no tabletop for cosmetics in bathroom, not very good soundproofing. Staff was very nice and helpful.

We stayed for five nights in the superior family four room. We chose this room type because it has air conditioning (cooling) and a sea view. For some reason, not all room types in this hotel have a cooling system (for example, no cooling in the junior suite). We had booked the room for three persons, two adults and a teenager. During the whole stay, the house keeping did not learn that there were three persons in the room. There were bathrobes for two, glasses and mugs for two. We got a third mug from the reception, but the next day it was gone. Also, the extra beds are only 180 cm long, so not really suitable for teenagers (our son is over 170 cm long). The housekeeping made our vacation interesting, because the room cleaning was done dirrerently every day. Sometimes only bins emptied. Sometimes one bed out of three was made. Sometimes dirty towels were replaced, sometimes not. At the end of our stay there was already quite a lot of sand on the floor, I would have appreaciated a quick hoovering at least once during our stay. All in all, we were still quite happy with the hotel. The air-conditioning worked, the sea view was beautiful and the breakfast was good quality and everything worked well in the breakfast service. There is also a evening restaurant in the hotel. The food is ok, but not really a culinary experience.

We spend our weekend here in one of the renovated rooms. It was clean and good enough to spend few nights. Bathroom isn't renovated though. Still worth the money. Goal of our holiday was to have some good time in Tropiclandia with our 6 year old. Tropiclandia is very kid-friendly place. Clean, but outdated. But still great place to give you children some good memories in warm waterpark atmosphere.

This centrally located hotel near the railway station has two wings: the historic Central building and the newer tall building across the street. During 2023-24, there will be a complete renovation for both buildings. At the moment, it is going on in the higher building and only the Central building is in use. This building has been a hotel for 80 years. The old-time atmosphere can be best felt in the 2nd-floor restaurant. The hallways were quite shabby. We booked a Superior room. Our room was very spacious because it was a disabled room. The bathroom was also extra spacious but outdated. The room itself was a mix of modern and old furniture. The television was quite small considering the size of the room. Breakfast was pleasantly calm. The food selection was quite wide as usual at Sokos hotels.

Newly re-opened and fully renovated hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast selection was impressive and served even until noon at weekends. Sauna area with pool and big balconies were great. That all was on the top floor (11th) and thus, there was a noce view over Vaasa and in the evenings you can buy and enjoy drinks there as well. The gym was also good and spacious although there were few other people training at same time.

Lovely modern hotel right in the centre of Vaasa. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent range of vegan foods at breakfast. There is paid parking nearby under the market place - we paid at the hotel reception and I thought it was a reasonable price.

There were good friendly helpful people in the neighbourhood and same for the hotel staff. It must have been the cute hand waving cat's plan all along :D. The visit was efficient from the start. They handed me the keys showed me the facilities and the communication was easy because the staff slept at the next door and also had quick Bookers email responses. We could cook and have a nice sauna at the evening and our roommate was fun to talk with. The place was very clean when we got there, we slept like a log and the house did the cleaning afterwards the checkout was as easy as the check in. We had a lovely stay at Vaasa and distances were easy to travel because the locals helped us by giving us a ride with their cars, taxis were easy to get and split the cost with the friendly Vaasa locals and the bus stop was right at the hotel's front door and had a bus for every hour. The activities around the hotel were plenty not only for the great restaurants like Dallas Pizza nearby but all around the city: we were at the Vaasa Airshow, at the Lisää Löylyä Festivaali and of course around the walking distance of the hotel: the beautiful Strömsö house and beach.

The location was lovely quiet suburban area which is perfect when you have a pet or just dislike city sounds. The Inn is family owned and is only two rooms so if you are a bigger family and book two rooms you're having the whole Inn for yourself. The kitchen was spacious and clean. Bed and pillows were very comfy, blanket was light but so warm. Garden was very well kept as well. This is perfect for a family or friends group.

Really nice place. We spent a lovely family week here, with 2 year old child it’s not always easy - but it was perfect here. Starting with a very warm welcome from the hosts, the place exceeded our expectations. We had our bedroom of course, but also a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, huge bathroom with sauna. Second room in the complex was empty and we had it all to ourself, really can’t ask for more. Location is perfect, very quite and calm area, but shops and restaurants are on a door step. City center is 10 min tops away with a car, easy bus connection to the train station, airport and ferry terminal for those who is not driving. Definitely not looking for another place if we ever need a hotel in Vaasa again:)

Excellent location in Vaasa. Super friendly staff/owner, picturesque buildings of traditional turn of the 19 century style. Multiple fireplaces, sauna, and stylish renovated old interior. Handful of functional and well kept bicycles for lending. Breakfast is simple but enough. Wonderful balcony and terrace with bbq to borrow. A perfect stay for the large family (Bakery) or for any traveler with car in the main house.

One of our favourites stays in Finland! Wished we could have stayed longer. A unique and charming accommodation that has a friendly and inviting vibe. Great communication from the hosts ensured a smooth arrival. The welcome pack with the history of the accommodation, and instructions and tips was much appreciated, and helped us find a fantastic place for dinner with live music. The reclining beds were incredibly comfortable, and the black out blinds and air con made for a prefect sleep. Netflix in the room was a huge bonus :-) The breakfast was well organised, with a nice selection. The option for coffee and hot drinks throughout the day is a lovely touch. We would love to return, and spend longer.

In the very heart of Vaasa city, you can find a charming renovated old house with all facilities and free safe parking - and all with very reasonable fee. The room was very good, even the bed very motorized, the tv-screen was bigger than ever. The kitchen-living room was very clean and good. The self-service breakfast was served next door and there were plenty of different varieties. Even we could have used the sauna free of charge.

Apartment has access to pristine nature, wonderful surroundings, bus station right in front, dedicated car park spot. The apartment has everything needed to stay comfortably, utensils, laundry, refrigerator, and a balcony facing the main road. Don't forget to enjoy the sauna while you're there.

This is not a close to city center, however it's good location if you have a car or bicycle. The food market is in 2 min walking distance. The sauna was really nice bonus and the location is really quiet.

Excellent apartments with a sauna, which is especially excellent after a long trip. Dishwasher and washing machine available. Beds are soft and superb!

The apartment is cozy, very sunny and it's only five minutes walk from the centre of the city. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans. I enjoyed the view from the balcony at the fifth floor. There's a lot of space around the building to park the car. The sauna is a plus.

This is a small but very cozy apartment with everything you need to stay for even more than a couple of days. Clean cooking place, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer, kitchen utensils: everything is there. The location is very convenient, ~7 min walk from the city center. I didn't hear any disturbing sounds/noises from the other rooms or outside during my stay.

Exactly what I needed after a long time of travelling. Washing machine, stove, a good sized fridge and a nice shower made the stop over perfect for me.

Cosy pleasant functional flat with all the needed, quiet neighbours, singing birds in the morning. It was easy to find the site, Maria (owner) contacted immediately after my booking and was super friendly and helpful explaining how to open the lock🤩. Friendly Finns-neighbours, laconic and stylish interior, spaciousness and much air and light. (This is how i would like my own flat to look like🥰) , and the flat, the owner's attitude and the atmosphere inside and outside are exemplary and magical to me🤩🧝‍♀️

Nice and cozy wooden house. Although it’s self-service, Maria answered our questions fast and was very helpful.

A cozy home. A friendly host 8 timezones away but responding quickly during reasonable hours. I used the bicycle, which is a great help to move around the city.

The place is cosy and homy, and fully equiped! Makes it easy for a short stay!

Friendly neighbours. Historic wooden building that I haven't experienced before.

Everything was exactly as described. The apartment is right in the city centre, with restaurants, a buffet, and Citymarket all close by. Despite the central location, I was able to sleep peacefully – the apartment is well-insulated and very quiet. The internet worked perfectly, and most importantly, the place was super clean. I give it a solid 10 out of 10!

Nice and clean apartment. Quiet buildind, no noise from other apartments. Perfect location near the railway station, shops and restaurants.

This apartment hotel offers nice and clean room with facilities for cooking. Microwave with grill, oven-top, dishwashing machine, toaster, coffee machine, and needed cutlery are available. Location is great in the heart of the city, with several restaurants, bars, hotels, shops, shopping center and full supermarket within walking distance (100m away). Common laundry room available in the hotel.

Forenom Vaasa does not include breakfast as a standard but it can be separately ordered from Forenom customer service and is it served at nearby coffee shop (Espresso House). Variety of items are available but it is not a buffet.

the location of the apartment was super good, near from train station, in the middle of the square in Vaasa, which have all what you need supermarkt, restaurant and bars. 15 min walking from beach. good location if you plan to set on Vaasa for caple of night and complete trip.
