Amazing location with a private patio and jacuzzi.

The property is very nice, including the room. I would say the jacuzzi or whatever its called in the room seemed outdated, but other than that it was a nice stay in a nice room by the beach. The property is beautiful with all the nature, trees and flowers in the property.

awesome, comfy and classy hotel, in a beautiful classic style with green gardens throughout the property, very comfy rooms with good AC’s that cool the room nicely, I had the room that had the jacuzzi tub outside on the patio deck, and it was marvelous to sit in the warm jacuzzi tub at sunrise and drink my coffee at daybreak… Hotel Aura Del Mar is my ONLY choice for a hotel when I’m in Zihu!

The view from our room was my favorite! All the balconies are covered so you can enjoy the outside without being on the sun. A surprise was a large private jacuzzi on the balcony, I didn’t need to go to pool which was 3 floors down the stairs. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I felt safe and secure. The rooms were very clean, no bugs. Overall it was a good experience.

Simply the finest hotel I’ve ever spent a week. On the beach, luxurious rooms and service, brilliant happy hour with a view (thanks Abel). Close walk to Centro and tacos. Amazing pool and many places to just chill. Hidden surprises everywhere (turtles? Parrots? Birds? Jacuzzi on my balcony??). This hotel is paradise and I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else

Arena Suites has a great location, right on the beach and quick walk to the Centro or La Ropa beach. Plenty of restaurants around. The room was clean, with the ceiling fan and A/C, plus a kitchenette. The room was cleaned every day and everyone in the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided 20L bottles of purified water for very little fee, which was very appreciated. There is a convenience store across the street. We really enjoyed our stay. We have only one complaint. The lounge chairs on the beach are in the restaurant's area. We were told that 6 palapas with 12 lounge chairs where allocated for the hotel guests. But it appeared that the restaurant was catering to the people who paid for the drinks/meals more so than to the hotel's guests. When it got busy at the beach with lots of tourists around, the restaurant put out only 3 umbrellas with 6 lounge chairs, all palapas were reserved for the dining tables. The lounge chairs were quickly taken and we had no place to seat on the beach, we asked hotel staff to add more lounges but there was no action.

We had a great stay at Arena Suites (Oct '23). We had the "Family Master" suite which had 2 bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen / dining area and a beautiful porch overlooking the beach and the bay. The room was cleaned very well every morning by Elizabeth (fresh linens/towels and dishes were washed). The restaurant was super convenient and the food never disappointed. Our server was always Armando - super friendly and great English skills. The hotel sits on a hill, so there are quite a few steps to get from the street entrance down to the beach, and elevators are not available. Wasn't an issue for us, but could well be for others. There's a convenience store across the street that is open from 9a - 6p or so that had any last-minute snacks, medicine, groceries you might need, but the prices reflect the convenience (sunscreen was about 3x what you'd pay at a nearby pharmacy). The hotel sits on a very nice sandy beach (very few rocks) with good waves for body surfing, and only a hundred yards or so down the beach is the paved walkway that leads to the downtown area. You can walk from the hotel to the downtown restaurants in 10 minutes or so. Overall, it was a great experience and we'd highly recommend this hotel!

FANTASTIC!!! Everything about this property was spectacular. The location, the staff, the accommodations. We stayed on bungalow #2. We had an outside fully stocked kitchen, a dinning area and a huge sun porch . Mind you this is not a all- inclusive 5 start property. This is a more intimate establishment, but with that said, we we were treated like gold. The staff from check in to check out was attentive and friendly, helpful and patient. Ricardo is a fantastic host and the cleaning staff were amazing and made the little towel art on our bed every day. The restaurant stayed open for us because we were late getting in on a very long bus ride and we’re starving. our waiter Armando was great. We swam in the pool a lot and always was clean and refreshing. Again, forget about the views, they are amazing. couldn’t have had a better time!

My stay at Arena Suites was nothing short of great. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, but the two things that truly set this place apart are its unbeatable location and the incredible hospitality of the staff. The hotel is just a few steps away from Playa La Madera and a 10 minute cab drive to Playa La Ropa. We loved being able to wake up and walk to the beach for a morning swim in less than a minute. It's also perfectly situated to enjoy the fantastic local restaurants along the beach and in the neighborhood. While it feels like a peaceful, secluded paradise, it's also just a quick and easy taxi ride or walk along the coast into the heart of El Centro for more shopping and dining. It’s the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Most importantly every single person that works there went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and special. Their warmth and genuine kindness are the heart of this hotel. From the front desk offering great local recommendations to the housekeeping staff who kept our suite immaculate, everyone greeted us with a smile. They make you feel genuinely cared for, not just like another guest. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, and perfectly located hotel with a staff that makes you feel right at home, you can’t do better than Arena Suites. Our room was a nice size, bright and cheerfully furnished. Very clean. The staff were very accommodating. Nice big terrace. We were the first level up from the beach level. Less hot walks upstairs but the view was a bit obscured by palapas. The kitchen is serviceable. It would have been nice to have a few basics such as salt or coffee filters. As we were only there a few days we didn't want to invest in many staples and didn't use the kitchen a whole lot. Blender, toaster, coffee maker....all the basic equipment. Everything is a bit old and dated but who cares. Bathroom and shower were small but fine. Lots of hot water if you feel the need. I would suggest that they leave a broom in your suite so you can sweep the sand as you track it in. Alternatively a sturdy mat at the front door to wipe your feet on. I tried to not track it in but its hard not to even after rinsing off at the foot shower area.

Hilton Zihuatanejo is an amazing property. We had an ocean view studio. The bedroom was very nice but the jewel was the huge balcony patio with dipping pool. The view was so gorgeous and peaceful. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming. Loved the swim up bar and pool right next to the beach. Several restaurants within short walk and town close enough to walk or take a short taxi ride. Definitely would return to this beautiful hotel resort!!

Do not hesitate and book this resort. Loved this resort. As soon as you walk in to check in they great you with a wet towel that smells like tranquility and a cold chilled water bottle to quench your thirst - and if you are here in a July you know you need it. We arrived super early and Rigoberto gave us bracelets to have access to the pool and beach area and held on to our luggage. He had our room faster than expected. Rooms are cozy cute and fresh. Food is delish. Alcoholic drinks are amazing and the beach rest area was more than you can imagine. The vibe of the resort is family oriented, yet you don’t see kids running around. The pool area was where the party was !! We did not eat at the restaurant, yet the locals do suggest to do so as their menu and food is superb. And I trust the locals. Amazing and friendly staff from the driver to the security gentleman that gave us a lesson on the turtle eggs. We will be back !

Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. But we had a lovely time. If you don’t care about a bar and plan to spend all your time poolside or beachside, it’s perfect!

This is a beautiful property on Playa La Ropa. Our room--king bed with living room, small kitchen, 2 baths, large patio--was wonderful! Great pools and lovely well-maintained beach area. All of the small thatched hut restaurants on the beach are close as well as more fancy restaurants just a few blocks down the street. Downtown is very walkable from the resort. Although there were not a lot of activities at the resort, we really enjoyed the market visit and the cooking class that was provided. We would love to come back again to Embarc Zihua!!

Loved our 7 day stay. Room was great , bed extremely comfortable.our balcony space and plunge pool was fantastic. 360 view of the bay. Staff extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Service was impressive in the restaurant as well as the food.

Such a great resort! Everyone was amazing - from front desk staff to everyone on the beach/restaurants. The rooms were really comfortable, clean and well maintained. The food by the beach is actually reasonably priced (obviously much more than eating in town) and actually really good and lots of healthy options. The security team even pulled grabbed us while walking to a restaurant nearby at night to watch a turtle lay its eggs, and shared other local tips, etc. Such a relaxing and special experience. Highly recommend the swim up suites - no better way to start your day then to have coffee on your balcony and jump right into the pool.

This property is nice place to stay, if you like quiet, swimming in the beach, the best beach in Mexico guaranteed. Food is OK, they need to improve on that, there are options allong the beach with nice resample priced restaurants. The workers there are nice and friendly, and more friendly if you tip. Taxi to the hotel from the airport is about $35.00,or 500 pesos. We stayed 7 days, and it went so fast, walk the beach and lay on the nice lounge chairs.

If you are looking for great weather and a quieter town experience with great food and the ocean, Zihua is a must and if you want wonderful accommodations, look no further than the Thompson.   There are so many wonderful things to say about Thompson and Zihua.   The employees at Thompson are thoughtful, detail oriented, very friendly and were so helpful to ensure my stay was relaxing.  Plus Thompson is on La Ropa -- which is an incredible beach -- warm water, rolling calm waves, and soft sand.  The local food was fresh and delicious.  My room was well equipped with everything I needed.  If you are able to visit this lovely town, be sure to join the locals for the baby turtle release and see if Carlos is available for a tour of La Chole.  A special thank you to Ana Lucia and her colleagues at the front desk, Francisco, Wong, Jose and everyone else who was so friendly and warm throughout my entire stay. My favorite resort in Mexico. The food is fantastic, room design is beautiful, very soft robes, an amazing gym, the best beachfront property on Playa La Ropa, and to top it off service is amazing. We especially want to thank Francisco for the beachfront food service. He is such a hard working man and father of 3 children, we loved talking to him and he was so professional, friendly, and helpful. We also want to thank the event sales manager Vicente who showed utmost professionalism, hospitality, and charisma in every interaction. We love this Thompson so much!

This is a nice quiet beach front hotel on a beautiful beach, playa de Ropa. The service was amazing, very accommodating for all your needs. You can’t beat the sunsets, and the food at Hao was delicious for breakfast lunch and dinner.

We loved this place! Run by locals (owner gave us a ride to the market) the room is really big with amazing views and super comfy. Great value for the price. Only complaint the jetted tub is cold water so don’t expect a jacuzzi like I did

This place was absolutely beautiful! The view was stunning and since it faces east the sun does not come into the room keeping it fresh all day! The place was very clean and the staff was amazing! The only thing I would change was maybe to put the outdoor jacuzzi water a little warmer as cold water in the shade does not warm up. Other that that no complaints. Walking distance to downtown and very well located. No beach but that was no what we were looking for.

We had a wonderful stay here . Our room was very spacious . Comfortable king size bed . Air conditioning , ceiling fan . Very good WIFI , even in the rooms ! Big TV with Option of Cable r Netflix . Coffee machine with free bag of local coffee. Free bottled water Bar fridge bath robes , face clothes Our room had a cold water jacuzzi , very nice in the hot weather incredible views of Zihuatanejo , and if you are a early riser you can catch the amazing sunrise . The hotel has a great infinity pool to cool off in , with a restaurant beside it that has tasty food . The staff are very nice! The hotel is about a 10 min walk to town , with a few great restaurants close by .

Other small hotel staffs could learn a lot. I'll try adding helpful tips. Rooms all have bay views with a/c and the basics that are needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel exceeds the standards of a small Mexican hotel and positions itself nicely between that and a 4 star hotel higher rate scale. If Mexico means a little more kick back than top notch, you found it here. The hotel is secluded on the opposite side of the bay then where all the more expensive tourist hotels are. Here the area is genuine small town Mexico. Don't let the potholes and the dogs and the debris influence you-this is a great find. Helpful knowing the entrance is below the hotel on the roadside. The door is right next to the hotel garage doors and looks like one of them. There's a bell on a string for someone to unlock and open it. Pool and restaurant are 1 floor up, then 4 floors above are the rooms. Enjoy the exercise. The restaurant will cook just about anything you want with a little notice if they don't have it in stock. The very fresh fish is wonderful. The 2 other restaurants in close proximity are both exceptional and really reasonably priced. One is right across the street on the water and one is 30 feet farther down. If you're only there for three nights you can touch them all because they're all 30 seconds apart. This is like old Mexico, but that was never this comfortable! View, value,and friendliness come together.

We were greeted by Celine late in the night and she was extrodinarily pleasant and accomodating. Her staff was very attentive throughout the day. The suites are located on the hill with an incredible view. We slept with the doors opened and listened to the waves below after relaxing in the private jacuzzi. It is a place to forget about all of your stresses in life. Her Bio Park is a wonderful experie ce with many animals and insects. I look forward to returning!!

This hotel was really beautiful, on the hill, with amazing views of the beach and city. We loved having breakfast on the deck, with the hummingbirds (and all the other animals residing at the hotel!) Staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to have a margarita in the pool and just relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. This was our first time to Zihuatanejo, and we fell in love. We have been to most of the other big beach towns (Cabo, Puerto Vallarta etc.) and this was by far the most beautiful and relaxing. The downtown area was just a few minutes drive away, and was a great place to walk around, with tons of shops and restaurants. The only (minor) complaints I had were that the bed was quite hard, and the jacuzzi on the balcony would not hold water. I'm sure if we had contacted someone, they would have taken care of it, but it was late, and we decided to just skip it.

Our hosts Celine and Manuel were so warm and welcoming. They were eager to offer suggestions and made our stay very memorable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view was absolutely stunning. The bio park on-site was really lovely. I enjoyed talking to all the birds and other wildlife each day. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Lazing by and in the infinity pool was heavenly. Soaking in the private jacuzzi on the deck was a lovely way to end the evening before climbing into bed. We loved eating fresh fruit grown on the property each morning for breakfast. Ongoing construction made for some untidiness but it was easy to overlook this because everything else was exceptional. I look forward to returning and highly recommend this wonderful gem to anyone looking for a truly beautiful vacation destination.

Stunning views, daily maid service, free breakfast, perfect pool and location. If you are trying to decide where to stay, look no further! My husband and I stayed here for 8 days in November of 2017. We were looking for someplace to stay without children, with an amazing view and a great location. We wanted to be close enough to walk to the beach, but far enough away from the noise and foot traffic to have quiet evenings. La Escollera Suites did not disappoint! The owners Celine and Manuel went above and beyond and were gracious hosts. We were a short walk to La Ropa Beach, we went back and forth several times per day. We also walked to Playa Las Gatas for a day of snorkeling. It is just a short cab ride to downtown Zihua and Ixtapa. We preferred to spend many hours in the infinity pool overlooking the bay and walking to La Ropa. We ate at the restaurant each morning, and several times for dinner. Overall it was an amazing and romantic place to stay without our kids. Food and room were great. We can't wait to come back!!

I enjoyed the tranquility. I felt like I was the only guest there, only to find out later there were other people staying there. It is quiet. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette. The AC worked perfectly. The room was exceptionally clean. I also enjoyed the food. The restaurant is not heavily advertised, but when traveling alone, it nice to stay in for meals especially after dark. Alfredo arranged safe taxi travel for me. I felt safe and at peace at Casa Kau-Kan. I would absolutely recommend Casa Kau-Kan to friends and family. I would like to stay there again.

The place was extremely quiet and perfect for a relaxing time. The property is located right at Playa Larga, so it's a few steps away from the sandy beaches. Pristine facilities and well maintained. The staff was very nice.

Comfortable bed, friendly staff, beautiful view, fridge in room. The AC wasn't working well and breakfast wasn't explained well. Lunch was good but there is limited food in the evening and a very long wait. The pools lovely though!

Spacious and clean rooms, super comfortable beds, and amazing views. 100% wheelchair accesible. Very nice pools and jacuzzis. The food at the specialty restaurants was good! The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home.

Breakfast buffet was great everyday, location was beautiful but a little far from town and a long taxi ride. Although we planned on staying on the resort most of the time so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience

Room and hotel were clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Liked the beach access. Breakfast buffet was good. 20th floor Club cocktail hour was great and the young man and lady working there were friendly and professional and helpful. A great family hotel.

The property was absolutely beautiful! The culture of the staff is what took it to the next level. They were all extremely attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us. Additionally, the food is breast! Brisas 2 Restaurant is a must try and also their breakfast buffet. All facilities were VERY clean and the housekeeping staff did an exceptional job. I definitely plan to visit again.

Our room was, as all of them were, facing the ocean and the gorgeous sunsets. Clean and comfortable bedding. The restaurants served well prepared, fresh and delicious food. We were there 11 days and found not much repetition. The grounds of the complex are lush and well maintained, with stone walkways everywhere (yes, lots of walking!). But the best aspect of all was the staff. Bladimir, Yalver, Jorge, and Belisario were a few of the outstanding people we had the pleasure of meeting. Efficient and friendly, the staff truly made our vacation one to fondly remember.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. They are slowly upgrading different areas from the aging hotel they started with. The room we had this week was the same room we had on our first stay (oceanfront view) and this time was completely upgraded. The beds are excellent. I only had two irritations, one was the patio door, it kept coming off the track making it difficult to open and close. The other was a coffee pot with no coffee supplies. I enjoy a cup early in the morning and this is one of the HI perks for me. Either give guests supplies or take out the pot? Two bottles of water supplied daily which was nice and a refrigerator in the room. There are 3 restaurants, only two were open and crowded on Friday-Sunday. Food was ok, typical all-inclusive offerings. We prefer to go into town for dinners anyway. The staff is amazing, always helpful and smiling. Pool and beach service was good. This is a family friendly resort, lots of kids having a great time. The location of this hotel cannot be beat, the beach is beautiful and proximity to town is right across the street, so if you can overlook some small flaws you will enjoy your stay.

We loved our 10 day stay at Holiday Inn Ixtapa! Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, staff was wonderful! Food was very good! Would stay again. The manager was very good to us during our stay and upgraded us to a room with a king size bed and better view. The beach was great for walking and the view was beautiful! Would stay again. The staff were friendly and great service. The problem is that the bars do not open until 11. So even if you want something to drink like a soda or water at the beach, you’d have to go to the buffet or wait. The hotel is fairly dated and the pools weren’t very clear. However being Spring Break it was very busy. The food was decent with one midweek outside bbq with excellent food. The town and shops are right across the street for good location. They could improve on having at least one bar open earlier and maybe something for snacks between meals.

The room was spacious and housekeeping did a nice job every day. Most of the staff was friendly. Food was good in the buffet area bit nothing expectacular. However the specialty restaurant for dinner was really good.

This property had excellent service and really good food (primarily Mexican food). The room was quite outdated, and the facilities were quite old (but clean). It was very family friendly here, mostly Mexican families vacationing here. The waves were big most of the time, not great ocean swimming, but beautiful views. Very close to the town for walking in to shop or go to restaurants.

This hotel is nicely located within walking distance to downtown, markets, stores, and beach. Madera beach is just around the corner up a steep brick road and down the steps to Madera. Madera has a good choice of beach restaurants. The food is fair but not over priced land service is excellent. Beach massage is available for less than $12 US or 200 pesos... I had one everyday for that price. Walk along the beach leading to downtown. Take a boat ride to Los Gatos beach for 50 pesos round trip. Adventure through the market streets for a wide selection of food. Well I could go on about Zihua. But let’s get back the main topic. Villas Mercedes is not upper class 5 star hotel. It’s 5 star in its own category. Clean, very clean, friendly staff, safe, cool AC, kitchenette with utensils and cooking ware, safe lock box, and best of all not outrageously priced. If your like me that like to explore the local area and be a beach bum, then this place is for you as your home base. But if you are a potato that just like to hang in luxury hotels then just stay home or go to ixtapa and pay the price.

This is really a nice place to stay. It is not a resort that to go to and never leave. It is a comfortable place to come back to after a day out and about. We stayed 9 days and loved every minute. Given the climate (hot and humid) it was nice to get back to the air conditioning in the room. Balcony has seating for two, and very nice to have coffee in the morning. It is convenient to the market, the beach, many restaurants and the centro. Taxis are literally around the corner. Beds are firm with mulitple pillows, and made with flowers each day. Rooms are clean and fresh, but they are not fancy. They are comfy and quaint. Pool is not large, but clean, and there are multiple seating areas and a grill if you choose to cook out. Staff is just wonderful and I can't say enough good things about them.

We’ve been traveling throughout Mexico for the last 2.5 months staying in a variety of hotels, guesthouse and apartments. Out of approx 20 accommodations Villa Mercedes has been one of our favorites. Great location, close to Cento and in a quaint area full of lovely restaurants. Staff friendly especially the guy that works there (sorry his name escapes me) - he has very good English and always smiling. The room was spacious, light and very clean. Good sized balcony which over looked the pool. The room also had a kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge and utensils. Pool area was lovely, water temperature peecfect for escaping the heat and humidity. Shower had good pressure and was always hot and WiFi was good too although a little slow first thing when everyone must be using it. We only stayed for 4 days but wish we had stayed for longer. Would love to return in the future to both zihu and villa Mercedes. Great experience and highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villas Mercedes. Situated on a quaint local street, the location offers convenient access to La Madera Beach. While not in the center, the street is bustling with restaurants and bars, providing a perfect escape from the daily crowds. The pool area is charming, and the yard offers a peaceful retreat. Whether unwinding by the pool or exploring nearby attractions, there's plenty to enjoy. The staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel's proximity to a taxi station and minibusses made transportation effortless. Throughout our six-day stay, we encountered nothing but positive experiences and good vibes. Highly recommended!

This is my 3rd time in 2 years in this hotels, and as usual I was happy with my stay in Villas Mercedes. The hotel is clean, comfortable, safe, and near walking distance to downtown and Madera Beach is only around the corner from your front door. Playa Ropa Beach is approximately a 20 minute walk, and Los Gatas Beach is about the same after a brief boat taxi from downtown. I like to walk so this is perfect for me, and to me the hotel is in near proximity to almost everything. What’s also great about this hotel is the price.

Recently renovated--was Holiday Inn. Staff friendly and helpful but Spanish is useful as only reception employees have English and theirs can be limited. Our room was as pictured for a double standard. Everything in our room worked properly (remember to shut the window to get the air-conditioner to work). Limited English TV channels but you are supposed to be outside enjoying the great weather. There is a clothes line in the shower. One bottle of water a day for the room. There was a coffee maker but you had to purchase coffee separately. Good desk chair. Mattress was new and choice of hard/soft pillows. Hotel has beautifully engineered pool, warm water, water slide, shallow area. Large expanse for seating and we were alone poolside most of the day. Swim up bar or handy servers if it is closed. Grounds are kept up. Small gym and masseuse are poolside. Our second floor west wing room overlooked the pool and we loved it. We keep our windows open all night. Hotel was quiet except on weekends when it fills up with weekending families. Piano music drifting up to our room over the bar was wonderful! Excellent pianist. The bar music shuts down at 10:30PM but partying on weekends can last longer. The bar and restaurant are open air and some hotel rooms have large balconies and those tend to be occupied by party crowd or large families. The noise can carry. So we closed our window two nights to help lessen the noise until it ended. No traffic noise though.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms in good condition and hotel looked recently renovated inside. Very reasonable prices and good location within easy walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Pool very large and looked clean although there could have been more seating and music at times way too loud. Buffet breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

It is a perfect little spot to stay. Very quiet and well taken care of . Very friendly and very accommodating. We have spent some days during our vacation. Free wifi and lots of English channels on the tv. Nice pools there very clean. The location is very handy to walking to restaurants, shopping and to beach .

Spacious, comfortable room. Bed, pillows, shower, all very good. Excellent pool! The restaurant was good for breakfast, you can buffet or order from the menu. Staff are very attentive.

Overall it is a beautiful hotel, family friendly. The pool is really nice. The room was clean and comfortable enough, but for the price I paid I expected it to be a little bit more neat. There was a lot of dust accumulated in the corners of the room, and the beds felt old and sunken. They weren't terribly bad, they could just improve it a lot. The sheets and quilt were old and I noticed holes on them, but those were perfectly clean so I didn't bother. The TV was old and small, for that price I'm sure they can afford new flat screen TVs. The bathroom was in excellent condition. The Internet was awful at any part of the hotel, even at the Business Center. I had to take some business calls and check emails but the internet was terribly slow, felt like old dial up speed. The buffet is expensive if you go with a big family, there are a lot of better options on the commercial area or in Zihuatanejo. Staff was incredibly annoying at offering "free breakfast" in exchange for "1 hour" listening of hotel promotions (not worth it, get a $50 pesos breakfast outside and enjoy Ixtapa all you can).
