I've stayed at the Swan more than once before and that is a recommendation in itself. The bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable, very clean and pleasant smelling with a luxurious bath and one of the biggest most comfortable beds that can be found at any price range; they even have comfortable pillows - so rare in most hotels/guest houses. Downstairs, the bar is lovely with one or two open fires depending on the weather. Very lovely helpful bar staff and acoustics that allow you to talk to your partner. So why did I only give it four stars you may ask? Answer: they need to do much better at vegan or diary-free options both at dinner and breakfast. Such small changes are needed to take it from really lovely to nearly perfect. I wish I could have awarded them 4.5 but there is no such option. Surely it is not so hard to have some vegan butter, vegan pastries or whatever so that the breakfast is not quite so dull.

It was our second stay at this Inn. Every room is different and we loved both our rooms. This room was very spacious, with a big, comfy bed and a bathtub. It was bright and friendly and tastfully decorated. Staff was friendly and food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Breakfast was simple and continental, but that was ok for us.

My husband and I love the Cotswolds and we often drive the 3 hours journey from Essex to visit and have lunch in à country pub.After some internet search we found this place and went for Sunday lunch a few days ago and we weren’t disapointed!The Swan inn is everything a traditional Cotswolds pub should be…it’s been sympathetically restored with beautiful decor giving a welcoming and cozy feel and has a lovely courtyard garden with an outdoor bar/ kitchen where you can get grilled food too.The food was delicious and the service was faultless .Our waiter Luca was both friendly and knowledgable and served me the best Pimm’s I could wish for with all the “trimmings”.We also met Danny the very friendly manager and chatted about how he left London recently after 22 years of living there with his wife (who also work at the pub) to start a new life in the Cotswolds running the Swan. We really enjoyed our time at the Swan and we’ll definitely be back!All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful and we wish Danny and his wife every success and happiness in the Cotswolds.

The epitome of something I didn’t think existed anymore. A great British pub. Only stayed for one night but arrived and had a fabulous welcome from Declan and Luca. Shown to our room which was great. We had the entry-level room which was more than substantial. Bed extremely comfy, fantastic bedlinen and immaculate throughout. We ate dinner in the garden, which that particular evening was a barbecue. Again great quality tasty food. Danny, the manager came up and told us all about the menu and what a lovely guy. Very knowledgeable about all the wines on the list and seemed to really love the fact he had moved out of London and was managing such a little gem as The Swan. The pub was full of mainly locals who were welcoming and friendly. After a great night sleep, we had a brilliant breakfast with delicious fresh ingredients and probably one of the best coffees I’ve had for ages . Thanks to everyone involved at the Swan we loved it and if we ever come back to that area, we will definitely visit again.

The Swan Inn provided a perfect stay in a peaceful, picturesque village setting. The rooms were cosy and well-appointed, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The food was outstanding, with a great selection of dishes that left us truly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect getaway. Whether you're looking for relaxation or exploring the Cotswolds, this inn offers everything you need. Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

This is a magnificent hotel. The rooms are luxurious and roomy and very well equipped. The beds and linen were immaculate and crisp and clean and very comfortable. the towels were lovely and soft. the hot water and shower and bath were amazing. the tea, coffee and complimentary sherry and sweets were a surprise. the tv was great and the location was only minutes away from all bars and restaurants we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit Stow on the Wold.

The location was excellent. The beds were comfortable. Instant coffee and teas were provided in the room with an electric kettle as well as sugar packets along with some type of packaged milk. And some interesting sherry. The bathroom was spacious and seemed to be recently renovated. The towels were of good quality and there were shampoos, conditioner and liquid soap provided in the bathroom. Our neighbors were generally quiet so we could rest well. The woman who visited the property to restock supplies and clean up was lovely.

Our room was very comfortable, and quiet, and the bed and bed linen were lovely. Great little touches; complimentary Cotswold fudge, coffee and tea and lovely sherry..very much appreciated, thank you Victoria House. Great location too. The owner was very helpful on the telephone and the housekeeper was very helpful too.

Spacious, comfortable room, furnished in good taste. Bedding, towels etc all excellent quality. Tea/coffee making facilities with sherry and fudge as bonuses! Toiletries included. We were on ground floor next to the road but it wasn't particularly noisy even on Monday morning. Parked opposite hotel and had good breakfast across the road. Lots more places to eat breakfast in the town. Shared fridge available in the hallway. We didn't get there until 11.30pm but access codes made it easy to get into property. Shame we couldn't stay longer!

Banbury Cross.B & B is a charming and cozy place to stay. The Victorian decor is lovely, our room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the proprietor, Michelle was a wonderful hostess, very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the teas, coffee, & cookies provided in our room, and the optional breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of choices, freshly. made to order by Michelle herself. Communication with her before our arrival was excellent as well. The location was good, within walking distance of several restaurants and coffee shops, & close to a bus stop.

Lovely house, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The double bedroom with ensuite bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Generous and tasty breakfast options. Attentive owner. Convenient location. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay at the Banbury cross. A lovely room with a comfy bed, which is unusual for me at least, I usually find hotel bed uncomfortable and wake with a bad back. The room was spotless with good facilities, tea, coffee, water biscuits replenished every day as my husband ate them all! Breakfast was delicious and we were able to choose the breakfast items we wanted, the food was freshly cooked and hot all of this was served up by the lovely friendly owner Michelle for whom nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend a stay here and would not hesitate to make a return visit if we were to return to the area

This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in! Everything was perfect. The room was great value and stunning. The bed was glorious and cosy. Everything was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The owner was friendly and lovely to talk to. The surroundings are quiet but still within walking distance of Banbury. I will definitely stay here again!

A beautiful home to stay in! The room (Large Double Room with En-Suite Shower) and bathroom were immaculate. The bed was super comfortable. Our host was friendly and lovely to chat with. Breakfast was hearty and delicious! Parking was easy and the location perfect to walk into Banbury.

Very cozy and tastefully decorated. The lobby area with the fire and the library were very comfortable and it felt like a very relaxing place to be. We were in the Lavender room, which looked just like the pictures and it was very clean and comfortable. Overall the hotel retains its old building charm but at the same time it has been renovated to have modern amenities (like USB and USB-C plugs on the walls). The reception staff was very nice and helpful, too! We had dinner and some drinks at the restaurant and bar and everything was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was very yummy too.

Everything. I found parking right outside, although there is additional parking at the rear, I had an upgrade that I wasn't expecting, to a most beautiful and spacious room. I literally could sell my house and move in! There was ample space in the room with a superlatively comfy table and chairs, ideal for working at, the comfiest bed with spotless linens and a beautiful walk in shower and spacious bathroom. The toiletries were so delicious, I purchased some to take home. There were also robes and slippers as well. The views from the double aspect windows were charming. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, fresh and just amazing.

It was a lovely building, very clean and a lovely welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The room no 25 was so comfortable with attention to detail and so clean - felt relaxing, comfortable bed and lovely luxurious towels. The staff were also all very friendly and welcoming

A lovely charming hotel. The grounds are small but beautiful we had a lovely autumn sunny morning and sitting in the breakfast room Was a joy looking out into the court yard area. The staff in the breakfast room are very efficient and the food was hot and plentiful and arrived very quickly and there is a good selection. The hotel is small but comfy and well maintained with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are efficient friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean and comfortable for a short stay. The bed was lovely and comfy and parking was easy. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Fabulous hotel, great location for visiting other cotswolds villages and Batsford Arboretum. Very comfortable, we stayed in a cosy double. I read reviews that it was small, but it is perfectly adequate for a short stay, and the shower room is large. Breakfast was amazing with fresh local produce and friendly staff. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly

Comfortable bed, individual furniture, good tv, jacuzzi bath, very nice breakfast cooked to order. Location on A40 excellent so avoiding Burford traffic, yet easy to walk in to Bfd, also good zoos Cotswolds etc nearby.

Excellent breakfast. Location close to town centre. Excellent soundproof glazing in the room, couldn't hear the traffic. We chose jacuzzi suite, recommended. Andrea very attentive throughout our stay.

Beautiful building and decor, the room was lovely with a jacuzzi bath. Lovely bar area again, beautifully decorated. The perfect breakfast with a personal touch was amazing. A lovely warm welcome when we arrived and advice given on places to eat ect in town. Private, free parking so close to the centre of town is a huge bonus. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

It’s the best place to stay for a weekend away in wonderful Chipping Campden village. Walking distance to the town, the area it’s peaceful and quiet. The place is well designed and very cosy. It was very thoughtful of the owners to prepare some snacks and drinks for us. The little lights around the jacuzzi and the garden creating stunning atmosphere specially in the evening. Would definitely recommend this place.

The location was perfect, close to the high street near some lovely walks, restaurants, cafes and shops. The property was quiet, private, modern, comfy and clean. The breakfast selection / hot drinks were a lovely welcome. The towels, robes and slippers for the hot tub were a great extra. Very cosy and relaxing stay.

Fabulous little find! The property was perfect for a relaxed weekend in the Cotswolds. It’s modern, clean and tidy and really well equipped. The hot tub was gorgeous-so inviting even in the January weather. Victoria is a fabulous host, leaving little extra touches that made it just perfect-such as robes and slippers for the hot tub and a welcome basket with tea bags, bread, milk and juice. The property is a ten minute stroll through the prettiest village to restaurants, pubs and cafes. There’s so much to choose from. We enjoyed breakfast in 42nd east bakehouse (and took some treats home for later!) and had some lovely meals and drinks in the eight bells inn. A gorgeous stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Everything cannot fault it! When I say i can’t fault this place i mean it. Everywhere was lovely, clean and tidy. There was a welcome hamper for when we arrived which was very much appreciated and enjoyed by me and my partner:) The bed was super comfy (one of the most comfy beds we’ve slept in). Saw a few reviews complaining about the size of the bed but this was very clearly outlined when booking it’s a double bed. My partner is 6 foot and i’m 5’10 and we fit absolutely fine in the bed so had absolutely no issues there. Was a super cozy property. We loved how the living area and bedroom were separate. The hot tub was lovely and very well looked after. We definitely made the most out of it!!It is in a brilliant location we only had to drive max 25 mins to any village or location we wanted to visit. Communication with the host was exceptional, she was super lovely to speak to and any questions we had she was very quick to respond. If we ever came back to the Cotswolds we would 100% stay here again!!

The property was a perfect location for a break visiting The Cotswolds. The accommodation was well presented with a modern shower and decor. We loved the use of the hot tub after a busy day enjoying the summer evenings. The hot tub was clean and well maintained.

Host was very pleasant and helpful. Had a small room but it had everything I needed including fresh milk (and a fridge to use if you wanted to in the breakfast room), good wifi, nice size TV, large shower and comfy bed. Had a delicious cooked breakfast. Room very clean. 15 minutes away from the British motor Museum.

Extremely charming hostess made our stay very enjoyable. It’s a small B&B (5 rooms), with average size rooms, but immaculately clean, very comfortable (ie nice size and firm bed, lovely temperature maintained during quite chilly weather etc). The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was ample off street free parking. The town centre is a 5 minute walk away. There were plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance. Lots of nice places to visit in the vicinity. Would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet area of Banbury.

The room and beds were comfortable and very clean. The host was very attentive and friendly. Gave a lovely welcome and cooked a fab breakfast! I always find that sausages are hit and miss on a breakfast and can't stand when they are too Herby/spicy. These sausages were perfect and the meal was cooked perfectly. Thank you for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend and will definitely return if visiting this area again.

It was in a great location, short walk into town. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. I thought the homemade flapjack was a very nice touch and exceptionally tasty! The breakfast was delicious and great tasting coffee too! Overall will definitely be back, great guest house and really good value for money.

Small ground floor room but its what we expected. The en-suite shower room was good. We stayed for 2 nights as a base for exploring Banbury and Oxford so we were only in the room first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. They catered for our vegetarian requirements no problem. The bed was comfortable and the bed clothes clean and fresh smelling.

Set on the square in the heart of Stow, the building still maintains some historic features. The indoor and outdoor areas for guests to enjoy are comfortable and relaxing. The bar and staff were enjoyed in the evening. We had a quirky attic room with lovely views. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite spacious and well designed with contemporary decor. A bath in the bedroom was fun! Amazing towels.. very thick and fluffy. I loved the fan which definitely cooled us down on a summer evening. There was a small amount of storage for clothes and a fridge with complimentary milk. Great. I loved that the toilet roll was in the perfect position. Thank you. 😊 Breakfast was a continental buffet or cooked. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was excellent.The attic room has a few stairs and limited headroom. Great for us as we are both vertically challenged. Beware tall people.. avoid Room 12. 😂 There is a restaurant on site which was busy though we didn’t try it.

The Old Stocks Inn didn't disappoint. After reading many complementary reviews it sounded like the perfect destination for a last minute birthday treat. We were greeted and directed straight to our room having checked in ahead online. The low beams sloping stairs and Cotswold stone features led us to our room. As we opened the door we were delighted by the warm and cosy room, which welcomed us with a serenade of quiet classical music playing in the background. The bathroom facilities were immaculate with the added treat of a deep roll top bath. We dined in the restaurant and had beautiful food and excellent service. Retiring to bed the bed was super cosy with the option to choose your pillow preference making our sleep experience perfect. In the morning we had a lovely sunny window table for breakfast with a view of market square and the church. Again the breakfast and service was excellent. All in a perfect little get away that will be our Cotswold favourite. We would certainly recommend.

Stow is a lively cotswold town at the weekends, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. The Old Stocks Inn is right on the market square, a great location. It is very much an updated, stylish place - with cocktail room, bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace all well designed and relaxing, yet vibrant spaces to be in. Welcoming, attentive staff, extremely comfortable beds, good showers, lovely products in use - and excellent food. We will be back for short treat breaks it hits the spot.

Location is central and they have a small car park at the back. All the staff were most friendly and welcoming. We had a garden room (highly recommended) - not huge but big enough for us to feel comfortable. The fridge had complimentary drinks (including beer and G&T). Dinner was very good - fresh cooking and beautifully presented. Breakfast (£10 extra) was also first class and had a lot of choice. Overall we think this was one of the most enjoyable hotels we have stayed in and would recommend unreservedly.

We loved our 'Amazing great' room which overlooked the main square. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was exceptional and enjoyed some lovely cocktails in the bar area too. Every member of staff we encountered was absolutely lovely, and it was a nice touch that they allowed you free beverages in the mini bar. Fantastic hot shower too.

We booked two nights at the Royal Oak. This beautiful 17th Century Pub was in the heart of the picturesque village of Ramsden. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Menus were varied with some traditional and some more innovative dishes. Our favourite breakfast was the vegetarian full with "haggis" (even though we are not veggies!). We dined at the pub both evenings - Sunday roast was amazing and we decided that we wanted to eat there again the following night. The food is locally sourced, fresh and home made. We really liked the layout of the pub with the original cosy bar area at the front and a bright spacious oak and glass conservatory at the rear leading out to a beautiful garden courtyard where we chose to sit and eat breakfast. There is also a 'secret' walled garden if you want to sit somewhere really quiet! Our room was tastefully furnished, cosy, clean and quiet, with en suite (great shower). Our big bed was really comfy and we had a good night's sleep. Kettle, Tea, coffee & biscuits all provided. A really nice touch was a small decanter of Port and two glasses left in our room, to round the evening off ! We will be returning to this pub for another short break as soon as we can.

wow, what a fabulous little inn. quite possibly the best place we've ever stayed in the UK. the room was fantastic, perfectly clean and spacious. we paid for a standard room and had more than enough room. facilities were fantastic, the most luxurious shampoo/conditioner/shower gel I've ever used in a hotel. great view on to the front of the road, could watch the tractors and horses go by. the bar and restaurant was gorgeous, great drinks at reasonable prices for the area. food was delicious, 10/10. our favourite feature is breakfast being included in the price for all hotel guests, a super addition that all hotels should do. the most beautiful and quaint building and outside garden area to the back, with fairy lights and ample seating between the flowers and bushes. all the staff from checking in, to breakfast, to the bar were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. we're already excited to return and will be recommending this place to our friends and family.

We stayed at The Royal Oak for just one night but wish it had been for longer. Our room (which was up the spiral staircase on the first floor of the main building) was beautifully furnished - the perfect mix of antique and modern. Lots of storage and very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was just right. All very clean and well maintained. You could tell that a lot of thought had gone into everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and drinks in the garden. Our vegetarian Sunday roast was delicious as were the desserts. Breakfast was very tasty with a good vegetarian selection. There was also a very small selection of cereal, fruit and juice if you wanted it. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely return for a longer stay.

The hotel is deep in Oxfordshire countryside in the quiet village of Ramsden. The small cozy pub, decked out in classic English country cottage style, is welcoming and the staff and service are what make it special. We went for a night to celebrate our 1st anniversary with dinner, bed and breakfast. We paid to upgrade to a deluxe room which was large with a four poster bed (a bit creaky but added to the charm), a large bathroom with free-standing cast iron bath and separate loo and shower room. You get a complimentary small flask of port with excellent specialty teas and coffees. As it's an old and small building, so expect creaking floorboards and noise filtering up from the bar and people walking around, but it's nice and quiet during the night. Dinner was excellent with the added bonus of a complimentary glass of fizz because they noticed that I'd mentioned it was our anniversary when booking. That's the sort of thing that makes me want to come back.

All the staff were pleasant, helpful and very welcoming; they were clearly keen to make their guests welcome. The accommodation is a very old building in a pretty village about 4 miles from the interesting town of Witney which has many shops, restaurants, a cinema etc and some tourist attractions. It is also fairly easy to access other Cotswold attractions by car. The room had a pleasant rustic feel to it, the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of drawers for storage. Hanging space was provided in the bathroom. The shower was exceptionally good and quality shower gel, shampoo etc were provided. Breakfast was provided over a wide time period. The restaurant and bar were available all days at reasonable hours. Cooked meal portion sizes were generous and the menu had many options.

The hotel was placed in a very convenient location to explore the best areas of the Cotswold. We had a "garden room" which was very convenient to come and go as we pleased (as the pub shuts after a certain time of the day with restricted access to certain rooms) and it was super quiet, despite being one of the busiest period of the year (Easter). The king size bed was very comfy, the bathroom had double sinks and a big shower/ bath. Breakfast was served a la carte (no buffet) but it was very tasty! We had both English and Continental breakfast options and both were very good! Ample parking, very friendly and helpful staff, cozy pub / conservatory area. Overall a very positive stay. :)

We booked the King Room and it was fantastic. Spacious, yet cosy and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Lots of hot water, comfy bed, and great wifi. I wouldn't go expecting a super cosy pub though. Most of it has been turned into a restaurant; there aren't many cosy nooks to settle into and enjoy a drink. The breakfast options were very varied. We had the full English the first day and the Columbian eggs the second - both were delicious! The meal we had was also brilliant. The location of The George is perfect for exploring the area, and the village itself is beautiful.

All staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout. We had breakfast there and dinner one of the nights and all of the food was amazing. Lovely, cosy and clean hotel in a peaceful village. Loved that it was dog friendly aswell and they had a little resident dog who was so cute. Manager Claire was wonderful.

Breakfast was exceptional. Extensive breakfast menu. Portions were excellent. Staff were very attentive. Good evening Menu offering both Alacarte and pub classics. We chose alacarte since we were celebrating. Food was beautififully cooked, by the Chef. Bar was excellent. Offered Cocktail of the week, which was delicious. Also good choices behind the bar. Our room was lovely. Had a hallway with large modern bathroom off and then large bedroom with all expected amenities.

Our bed was very comfortable, and perfect for our 1 night stay. The shower was hot with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and there was also a mini electric cooler box where we stored a small bottle of fresh milk which we were provided with when we arrived, (the cooler was big enough to store the milk and a small bottle of water). We had booked to go on the Hawkstone Brewery Tour and it was only a 20mins walk there from The Lansdowne Guest House. Also, it's less than 20yards from a pub, (The Mousetrap Inn) where we went for dinner that evening.. Our stay at The Lansdowne included breakfast in the morning, which was delicious, and parking - which is a huge bonus in Bourton-on-the-water!

Beautiful property at a great location in Bourton on the water. Corrine, the manager, is super friendly and attentive. The rest of the staff was incredible attentive and professional. The hotel was in the perfect location for us to explore The Cotswolds. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. Complimentary drinks and snacks were available for us. The best part was the wonderful breakfast every morning…full English breakfast or an array of eggs Benedict and otter wonderful options. It’s included in the room price. We will definitely will come back.

Beautiful, cosy and clean little hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the breakfast was tasty and so cosy, the room was clean and beautiful, and the TV had streamings like Netflix which was so useful on a rainy evening. The location is super convenient with Bourton-on-the-Water centre within a 5-minute walk.

Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfy. The freebies in the minibar were very welcome. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly and the breakfast was delicious!! The location was perfect, with just a short stroll into Bourton-on-the-Water. We would definitely stay here again.

The Lansdowne Guest House is perfectly located at the end of the High Street, we had not anticipated our room to not be in the main building, we had to cross the street and our room was in a semi-detached house opposite the main guest house, but easy to navigate. The room was nice, well equipped, bed was a little soft and low for our liking, but personal preference. It was spotlessly clean, shower was great, tea/coffee facilities were good and we were given fresh milk for our mini-fridge which was a lovely touch. Super friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was delicious, it was perfect for our one-night stay. Thank you x

The location was perfect,nicely situated in the cotsworlds, without being a tourist stop. The hotel looks amazing, we enjoyed sitting outside by the river with our drinks and in the evening, whilst also enjoying a wonderful meal in the restaurant and a last drink in the bar. The building is old but feels newly renovated, old beams and brick work mix well with the more modern bathroom. Staff were amazing and very friendly

To begin the surroundings were stunning, the staff were exceptional, couldn’t be more friendly and couldn’t be more helpful!! The food was amazing both dinner and breakfast!! And the room was amazing, so clean, smelled amazing and the decor was gorgeous! Would absolutely recommend to anyone heading that direction and we will most definitely be back!

The location is beautiful right next to a river, quiet yet ideally situated to explore further afield. Absolutely loved it. When we arrived in the rain and in the dark, the whole place looked magical and so enchanting. Our luggage was taken to our room by a lovely young man (I'm sorry, I don't recall his name), which was a lovely gesture. Our room was divine, tastefully decorated, plenty of room, and magnificently warm. The bathroom was the same, and having warm towels to use after the lovely shower was perfection. Mary, who served our delicious breakfasts, is an asset. She is very friendly and can not do enough to help. Breakfast was delicious, too. All in all, it was a wonderful couple of nights away in a magical setting that was perfect for my daughter and my pre Christmas getaway. We'd definitely recommend it, and we were sad to leave. Thank you!

Fantastic pub log fire going when we arrived . Staff so welcoming,friendly and hard working . Room spacious , clean and everything we needed on hospitality tray. They arrived with more fresh milk if wanted, breakfast , great selection and again good quality and lovely coffee, location fantastic very near Burford. Well worth a visit there .pub very popular with great food. Room very quiet

The room was spacious, very clean with a lovely view across river and fields. The bathroom was also very clean , and large with plentiful hot water. The location is wonderful - on the river and amongst fields offering lovely views. The full English breakfast is recommended along with the evening meals in the pub itself which has a lovely atmosphere.

The crown in was well situated and the environment was warm,,cozy and welcoming on arrival with adequate car parking. Great selection of bar drinks, beer bar environment and welcoming by locals. Board games, cards and maps for local walks . Breakfast and restaurant for evening meal was again a lovely comfortable environment. The staff very helpful, friendly , attentive and accommodating. Excellent chef in the kitchen who created great food with his own unique twist on local produce. Both breakfast and evening meal were delicious with clear attention to detail - chef is a keeper : ). Room was cozy, comfortable with everything in the space we needed to make for a restful and comfortable stay.

The Crown, Church Enstone, is probably one of the nicest places I've stayed at for a long time. The location was perfect and made it easy to reach the various towns and villages in the surrounding area. The Inn was nice and tucked away too, which made the dining, drinking and living experience really enjoyable. The food was amazing, the chef clearly likes to experiment with different flavours and make some unique dishes. Breakfast was tasty and well presented, and the dining experience was very relaxing. The room was so nice too, the bed was unbelievably comfy and the bathroom looked amazing. We cannot fault the place one bit, and we'd go back again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was in a perfect location, quiet and beautiful village. The room was quaint, delightful, and the bed was so very comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and really pleasant, and they put the customer first at every opportunity, they were extremely attentive and listened to the clients needs, providing everything the clients requested. The Breakfast was lovely, and the food in the evening was exceptional.

Room was amazing .. lots of different types of teas and coffee and little bottles of fresh milk with homemade biscuits ..I chose this room because of the bathroom, very nice! We had dinner and breakfast from the super friendly staff to the delicious food it was perfect.

Stunning historic building with very comfortable rooms & beds. Great having bar/restaurant on site & enjoyed breakfast & dinner there during our stay - every meal delicious. Parking outside the door or in carpark. Very friendly staff which made our visit all the more enjoyable.

The pub was lovely and welcoming, lovely cosy bar/restaurant area with log fires. A very clean, spacious and well appointed room, with comfy bed, a useful guide book, tea, coffee and water were provided too. The food was delicious, both at dinner and at breakfast , great selection of gins available and above all friendly helpful staff who made us feel welcome.

We stayed in the King en-suite. Beautiful old room. Very clean, warm and comfy bed. Beautiful en-suite. Loved the old wonky floors, window seat with a beautiful old wooden lintel. Very quiet so slept really well. TV had free view and netflix (using your own account) Very friendly efficient staff. We booked dinner in the restaurant which was delicious, as was our breakfast. Lots of choice and cooked perfect. Log burner was light so a very relaxing, happy atmosphere. It was just off the main street so perfect location. Couldn't fault anything and will definitely be back!

The room was very comfortable. Bed HUGE and also very comfortable. Nice view onto the pretty street below. There was some noise (talking - not music ) from downstairs as its old floorboards, but this wasn't a huge issue and everything was quiet by about 9pm. Dinner was lovely, although I had pre-booked a table and asked for a good spot as it was hub's birthday, but in the event, we were offered a table adjacent to the bar which we didn't fancy. We ended up in the dining area the back of the pub as that was all that was available. It was ok, but I would have preferred a table at the front, where the wood-burner was, especially as I had specifically asked for a nice table in advance. The food was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a family emergency the following morning and the owner of the pub was super helpful and sympathetic as we had to rush breakfast and get going. Overall, a lovely, quaint pub with rooms. It's not a pub where people stand around drinking, its mainly for food, which was a plus point for us. It is a short minute walk to the pretty Cotswold high street where there are several other cosy pubs, galleries and independent shops.

The Angel is a wonderful place to stay! A little rustic jewel in this beautiful Cotswold village. The bar and restaurant areas are so cozy with a log burner roaring away! The staff were very friendly and attentive and dinner was delicious! The room was an amazing size and also lovely and warm for a cold winters night. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Will definitely be staying again!

The manager/proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful and greeted us warmly. The room was spacious and had all the required facilities for a four star hotel. The bed was large, as promised, the bathroom also spacious and the whole building was full of character and very peaceful. There is great local beer in the bar and we had a good dinner and also a lovely breakfast served with excellent coffee.

The Hotel was amazing the room was clean tea and coffee provided in the room all good brand names the bed was comfortable and spacious for a couple. The Bath and shower had plenty of hot water and all clean to a very high standard. The staff was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay all the better. They have a lovely open fire going in the lounge with lovely comfy leather armchairs nice quiet area to relax in after a busy day shopping. When you walk out of the hotel you are surrounded by pubs / restaurants / coffee and tea shops and all local shops look at. Honestly can’t wait to go back as we enjoyed ourselves that much honestly cannot fault the Hotel and staff.

The Stow Lodge was one of the highlights or our 3-day visit to Stow. The location of the hotel was perfect with direct access to the market square. There was free parking available for our rental car. The facilities were absolutely beautiful with a traditional English feel and decor. The hotel was wonderfully equipped with a bar and full service restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner one night. There is a beautiful outdoor garden with table and seating. Our room was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. There is no AC but the room had a floor fan. Our room actually had a view of the famous hobbit doors at the church next door. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were outstandind, especially Chris and Lotte. They were super friendly and were extremely gracious hosts. They run a very ight ship and all the staff were friendly and well trained. They helped us with a load of laundry that was done promptly and efficiently.

Fabulous location in the centre of Stow and close to shops and restaurants. Lovely and well maintained. Gardens are lovely but as it was raining and damp we couldn’t take advantage. Bedroom was in the coach house and was clean and comfortable and quiet at night. Staff were welcoming on arrival and took us to our room which was a nice touch. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant both nights and there was an excellent choice on the menu and all reasonably priced along with a good choice of wines which were not overly expensive. Breakfast was excellent. We would recommend the hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely old building that is maintained beautifully. Friendly staff . Our room was lovely, stayed in room 2 , very comfortable king size bed , good size room with fair size bathroom with a shower over a bath . Very clean with good facilities , including kettle, tea/coffee etc . Breakfast was included in the price which was delicious and plentiful. The grounds of the hotel are very well maintained. The bar area and lounge were nice but lacked any atmosphere but still very pleasant with an open fire . Good location for the centre of Stow and surrounding villages. Plenty of free parking

We had a very pleasant stay at Stow Lodge. The location of the hotel is great for exploring Stow on the Wold and in this respect the free parking at the hotel was a real bonus as the town gets very busy. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and taken to our room which was clean and spacious. We had drinks in the bar/guest lounge sitting near to a log fire which was a nice feature on a cold day, We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both meals were excellent. There was a great selection of dishes on the dinner menu and while the breakfast menu was quite basic the food was of a very high standard. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. Overall we highly recommend this hotel.

the pub/ hotel was extremely pretty and comfortable. The manager and staff very friendly and helpful. We had a perfect bowl of soup before a wedding locally and delicious dinner by the fire later that evening. Delicious cooked breakfast all with fresh local food. We loved the whole place.

Couple of days at the Swan Inn, we haven't visited this pub for more than 40 years ! So much has changed ! Friendly helpful staff, lovely food and real ales. Different menu choices and lots of options for sitting outside, either in the main pub garden or across the road by the river. Very comfortable clean room ( Asthall ), and delicious freshly prepared breakfast. Great walks locally, options for short stroll or longer trek to Burford. The weather was exceptionally good for early April ! Very enjoyable stay !

Cosy, clean, view of chickens from the window, very comfortable bed and lovely down pillows. Easy check-in, friendly staff ,any great breakfast. Swinbrook is in a perfect location and the Swan is a beautiful traditional Cotswold hotel .Parking outside the door was very convenient. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful walks.

Beautiful historic country inn set in a quiet picturesque Cotswold hamlet (we found the Mitford Sisters connections to the inn/area fascinating), which was very well presented and clearly very popular. A great base for exploring the various surrounding towns and villages. Our room in the stable block was clean and comfortable, and over-looked the spacious rear garden (other rooms are available within a cottage across the road). Great selection of cold and cooked breakfast options, and our evening dinner was lovely. Definitely a step up from your typical "pub grub", with a lovely menu of local/seasonal produce, and a plentiful wine/beer selection. Staff were very pleasant, welcoming and attentive.

We loved the garden—it's beautiful and well-maintained. The room was nice and clean, with a view of the garden and its large apple trees. The bed was comfortable. We had dinner, and the starters we ordered were exceptional. Breakfast was also excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Amazing hospitality!! Excellent sit-down breakfast and delicious dinner selections. Water bottles per person in the room, as well as cookies, a Nespresso maker, a tea kettle, and a wonderful selection of coffees and teas! I’ve never seen such an abundance of welcoming snacks and drinks! The staff were all very helpful, friendly, and professional. The room and bed are very cozy and decorated in the local English cottage style, yet the bathroom was modern! We stayed in the ground floor in room 117 (an ADA compliant room), and our friend stayed upstairs in 112. We were all very happy with our accommodations. The hotel location was an 8 minute walk to the train station with luggage! I think Moreton in Marsh is fairly centrally located in the Cotswolds. We did a GoCotswold tour for 7 hours that met in the train station car park and that was easy to get to. We highly recommend the White Hart Royal Inn and would certainly stay there again!!

The Four Poster Room was amazing! Spacious, comfy, clean and the shower was wonderful with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all included (wonderful scent too). Complimentary water, biscuits, and chocolates provided too alongside tea, coffee (good selection including decaff). Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and booked a deluxe double. I had requested a nice one and that is what we received. We were put in Room 307, overlooking the courtyard. It was a large suite, with bath in the bedroom, separate toilet and shower room. Sofa and desk in the room also, with robes, slippers, nespresso machine, magazines and biscuits. We paid for luxury and we received luxury. The residents breakfast was really good quality. Check out the market which is twice a week. There’s a few mini supermarkets if you run out of anything. Parking is limited but we managed to find a space no problems. The bar was cosy. There was a residents bar and a games room, but you have to find these yourself, no one tells you they are there or that they can be used as they’re hidden behind reception. My pet peeve is when checking out and clearing the bill, we weren’t asked if we enjoyed our stay or to have a safe journey. Felt like when you’ve paid, we’re done. Why wouldn’t you want to know if people who have paid a lot of money had enjoyed their stay? Odd. Really enjoyed it, will visit again.

What a wonderful hotel, with clean, updated rooms and a number of luxurious, comfortable lounges. The clean room had a very comfortable bed and many pleasant surprises, such as a radio that allowed us to listen to local classical music while relaxing. What rooms have that? Also, the bathroom was wonderful and updated, which we didn't expect in an older hotel. Best of all were the various staff members, who made us both feel like special guests. Would highly recommend this if you're in the area. Also, very convenient to the train station, restaurants, and nature walks.

The staff in both Reception and the Restaurant were exceptional, friendly and helpful. The evening meal we had went on a bit long and at no time did we feel like we were being hurried to leave. The food was brilliant with the Roast Striploin of Beef cooked perfectly. Our waiter "Dom" was super excellent and a pleasure. Both breakfasts were brilliant and once again the waiter staff extremely friendly and helpful. SERVICE overall was exceptional and so friendly. Another big thank you for the extras we had for my partner with him having his birthday!!! THANK YOU!!

From the moment we arrived to the bright and welcoming pub we had an exceptional experience. Steve, the manager immediately gave us a free upgrade to the wedding suite which was massive with a comfortable king sized bed, huge bathroom with roll top bath and a large walk in shower. It even had air conditioning which was needed as it was a hot summer evening. We had a delicious dinner in the pub surrounded by friendly and chatty locals. The pub shut at 10pm that evening and it was super quiet when we went up to our room. The next morning a fantastic breakfast, we opted for the full veggie and the coffee was sublime. Steve and his staff went above and beyond to be helpful and were all very friendly. The whole place was very clean and I cannot fault the stay at all. In the centre of Woodstock, we loved walking around after breakfast and finding the hidden gems of antique shops, home made icecream and independent boutiques and coffee houses. The Crown is a real gem, we would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Crown for one night as we were attending Nocturne at Blenheim Palace and it was the perfect location. Our room was spacious, beautifully styled and a super comfy bed. Loved the bathroom products (especially the toothbrushes as I forgot mine) and once we’d worked out it was cafetière coffee, not instant, we enjoyed our hot drinks. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Nice atmosphere in the bar, staff friendly and helpful. And our breakfast was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a very comfortable stay. Arriving after a long drive with our 4 month old we had a wonderful greeting from the team who couldn’t be more helpful bringing all our luggage (no travelling light with a baby!) and upgraded us for free to their largest room, room 4, as it was available. The room was spacious, nicely designed and had con, a huge king size bed with a spacious clean bathroom and shower. The staff were all extremely friendly and we slept very well. The included breakfast in the morning was fresh and tasty. We would absolutely stay again and really pleased with our decision to stay at the Crown. We enjoyed walking the paths of Blenheim palace just minutes away from the front door and the entire village was picturesque.

Dial house is a true gem of a property. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful on arrival, when we were lucky enough to be given an upgrade into the ‘Owen’ room, which is a beautifully decorated room with great views over the high street and the river Windrush flowing through the centre. The hotel is perfectly placed to wander around the historic town, but, being set back from the high street, it stil feels plenty private, despite the large numbers of visitors to the town throughout the day (making the private car park behind the property a massive bonus!) Maxi’s bar (a large teepee) in the garden had opened for the season the week before we went, and we’re so glad it had done; it was the perfect combination of contemporary, fun, cosy and relaxed, again helped by the brilliant, friendly and cheerful staff. We had a drink here before heading out for a meal and a cocktail when we got back - the only regret was that we’d already booked to go out for a meal in the first place, especially once we’d had the incredibly enjoyable breakfast in the morning in one of the two gorgeous dining rooms. The bed has got to be about the most comfortable night’s sleep I’ve ever had (to the point where we were trying to find how to get hold of the same mattress, but no such luck as yet!). Having only had the chance of a single night up here from Bristol, we’re already looking to go back and, hopefully for an extra night (or two) next time. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough.

I’m not sure where to start but this place is a very special find and one that I wholeheartedly believe you need to go to see for yourself. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with friendly staff who just want your experience to be the best. We upgraded our room and we had the ‘Aubrey’ room on the first floor facing the front which was a pure indulgence adorned by opulent furnishings and a very comfortable bed. It was clean and luxurious. We paid for the breakfast which was a delightful menu and unlike most places was waitress served which was lovely and added to the experience of being looked after. Our first evening we had street food in the Maxi bar in the garden - again a haven of pure delight seemingly run by an experienced barman specialising in some of the best cocktails we have had. We had the most heavenly food in the restaurant the second night which is an absolute must go to if you are in town! Overall I cannot rate this place highly enough if you’re looking for somewhere different, alright it might be a little pricier than other options but it’s worth every penny. We loved it and I’m certain you will too!

On arrival the lady who checked us in was so friendly and accommodating. We were attending an event that same afternoon and arrived before check-in time with the hopes we would be able to leave our car in the car park. She checked and our room was already ready, so she let us check-in early; totally reducing any stress we had for the logistics of the day. We really appreciated the hotel's private car park, meaning we didn't have to battle with any pay-and-display car parks nearby. The room - or should I say suite - was ginormous! We had the family room in the Coachhouse which had two separate rooms which we weren't expecting. The room was clean and well-presented. We had views of the entrance and the tepee bar which has festoon bulbs that looked so picturesque at night. Large bathtub and corner shower with great water pressure and complimentary L'Occitane products. The room was quiet and we had a great two night's sleep there. The Wifi was consistent and worked well. We didn't want to leave and I cannot wait to come back - the main building looked adorable so I'd be intrigued to stay in one of the rooms there next time!

The Dial house is fantastic old fashioned hotel with a modern twist. It does breakfast and dinner should you require them coupled with a licensed bar. I big plus for me was it was in the centre of the village with a nice big car park. The staff were very polite and friendly and nothing was was to much trouble. We had the coach house room which had one large room with a double bed and this was joined by another room with two single beds with a large bathroom with a large bath and separate shower very clean and modern room. Fantastic accommodation. I am looking to returning again in the future.

I can't say enough about the Dial House. My daughter and I were on a trip together and our flight was cancelled so we were one night off on our accommodations. The staff at the Dial House worked with us to rectify our problem so we could stay on schedule. THANK YOU!!! The outside areas were perfect for "happy hour" and the restaurant served a wonderful breakfast (Try the avocado toast!!) and delicious dinner. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The Inn itself is quaint and beautiful!! We could not have asked for a better two night stay. Thanks again Dial House!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marlborough Arms and in Woodstock and would love to stay again! It was well kept, full of character, clean, quiet and comfy. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to order drinks from the bar after we got back from dinner in the town. A really lovely and peaceful stay! We had everything we needed in our room including a nice coffee machine and kettle. The bathroom was well equipped with nice toiletries and a good shower, too.

Friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Lovely sitting area by the bar with a log burner; we could have sat there the whole evening just relaxing. Our twin room felt newly refurbished and fresh. The beds were very comfortable with enough pillows and blankets if needed. The ensuite bathroom was spacious with a great size shower. The breakfast had plenty on offer. You can choose from full English, pancakes with bacon or fruit, mashed avocado on brown bread, or a porridge. In addition to that, there were other breakfast items available on a buffet. The service was absolutely fantastic. Marlborough Arms is located in the centre of Woodstock. There are several restaurants nearby, as is Blenheim Palace. There is a private car park at the back of the building.

The superior double room was excellent, spacious and spotless with a wonderful walk in shower room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, pillows too! Usual facilities for making hot drinks in the room plus bottles of filtered water. The front of the inn faces west and gets the evening sun. The breakfast room is at the back of the building and gets the sun in the morning. Location convenient for shops, pubs and restaurants in Woodstock as well as visiting Blenheim Palace. Excellent cold breakfast buffet as well as cooked options - I had perfectly soft boiled eggs & soldiers after a dish of yogurt and fresh fruit salad. Very helpful staff and swift service. On site parking at the back of the inn. Ambience similar to a country house with a bar for residents only.

perfectly located for our trip to Blenheim Palace. Small car park on site. Was originally a old coaching Inn with lots of original features.our room (3) was very spacious and comfortable. Small espresso machine with coffee pods provided. kettle and teas provided. Very clean bathroom ( with shower). The water is all softened so lovely. Breakfast was nice. Cooked breakfast made to order plus buffet. Very friendly , attentive,pleasant staff.

The rooms were big and had lots of space to unpack everything. The bathroom had a walk in shower and complimentary shower gel/shampoo/conditioner set up in dispensers. The reception area had separate areas to sit in small groups - costly sofas or table spaces. Staff are friendly, helpful and ensure you are happy with everything. The breakfast is an amazing - there is a great buffet and you can order a hot breakfast all included in your room cost. The location is bang in town with other options for pubs/Inns to have drunks/food. Fantastic Indian restaurant one minute walk away too! Free parking onsite or over the road. Access to Blenheim Palace via town too - short walk to get to the grounds. Overall Woodstock is a picture perfect village and great location. Very highly recommended.
