This stay exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. It was a quiet but not boring place with good service and options for paddling, canoeing, or snorkeling with very good equipment. The 5.30 pre-dinner hour near the pool with canapes was a great idea. The food was a creative surprise every day, and the cook was more than perfect and had considered my food limitations. There were too many small details that made it so exceptional, for example, the surprise that the chocolates left on my pillow were lactose-free, the good quality complementary wines, the nice clean trail to another beach, the rainwater for showers and the environmentally friendly shampoos and creams offered in the villas. All were carefully planned for a comfortable stay, even for a single visitor.

The resort was very secluded, tucked away in a cove on Long Island with only 10 adult couples to be at the resort. This resort is remote and that made it special. The resort was clean and tidy with our rooms cleaned daily. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The Yoga in the morning and afternoon was really good and the instructor was great she took her time to show us the moves needed. The food was really tasty, the chief did great job. Bar tender/s were quite chatty and friendly. keep that Licor 43 going :)_ There was enough to do if i need an activity with SUPs, kayaks, Chiliboats, swimming pool to float around on and a few walks can be done. The helicopter flight was really cool way to get to the resort. The manager of the resort was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the resort for a getaway. Thank you, Elysian Resort and all staff, for a great relaxing 3 night stay.

This gem of a retreat was exactly what me and my husband needed after a rough year. We stayed in December at the height of the wet season. It rained at various levels 3 out of the 4 days we were there but that did not affect our experience in the least. I believe it added to it. Soon after arriving I booked not 1 but 2 spa sessions; a massage and the next day a salt scrub. I felt so rejuvenated! One should not miss out on the spa experience. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I even did Yoga every morning because Eva made it enjoyable and I don't do Yoga. The rooms were very clean, well stocked (drinks, bug spray, sun block, etc.) and quite comfortable. We love that there are only 10 huts with a max of 20 adults. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves for the first 24 hours. More couples arrived in the days that followed and everyone was so lovely to get along with. We did a whole lot of nothing during our stay which is exactly why I booked Elysian. However, if you want to do some non-motorized water activities those are available along with some hiking. We enjoyed all the delicious 5 star meals and drinks! The property is a dream and we are looking forward to going back someday. Note: We were able to take the amphibious boat in from Airlie Beach. If you are going in and out of Hamilton Island, you do need take a helicopter.

The team were great - very friendly and attentive. The vibe of the resort is lovely - small and intimate with amazing food through breakfast/lunch/dinner. Their tour to whitsundays is worth every penny and they cater for everything to make it enjoyable and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Our stay at the Elysian was an unforgettable, all-inclusive, eco-friendly experience. Nestled on a pristine island, this hidden gem offers sustainable luxury surrounded by the best of what the Australia's Golden Coast nature has to offer. We stayed in thoughtfully designed eco-bungalows with stunning water views of Paradise Bay. We enjoyed farm-to-table dining, relaxed by the excellent pool overlooking the water, and immersed in unique eco-friendly activities. One of our highlights was the island hike that took us to a hidden beach on the other side of Long island. From guided snorkeling to kayaking to paddleboarding to sunrise yoga sessions, this eco-lodge offers something for everyone. Thank you to ALL the fantastic staff at the Elysian that made our stayunforgetable.

Hidden Cove 16 was amazing. So crisp, clean and OMG the view!! Just perfect. Whales with my morning coffee - just perfect.

Location and the view from apartment was absolutely stunning and made our stay, staff made sure our check in and check out went perfect and were super accommodating. House was extremely clean and prepared well, great amenities, everything you could need was already there and you didn’t even have to ask for it. By far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. We just absolutely loved our stay in the Beach Club! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a balcony that looked out over the beach with a beautiful view of the sunrise each morning. The hotel was small and quiet with modern decor, a beautiful pool and a private area on the public beach. The staff were quietly attentive and always happy and helpful. A delicious breakfast was included every morning with continental and cooked options. We were also able to have breakfast served in our room at no extra charge and it was lovely to have it sitting on the balcony. We also had dinner in the hotel on one night and would highly recommend the chef's tasting menu. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to go back.

We were at the Beach Club for 4 days in a beautiful room overlooking the ocean. The wallabies in the downstairs garden were lovely to watch. The breakfast was very good with lots of delicious food to choose from. Our favourite was smashed avocado and fresh juices. We had dinner there and it was also delicious. The staff was amazing, friendly, and professional. They gave us suggestions as to where to go and what to see. They also were so kind to drop us off and pick us up almost every night when we went out for dinner as it was raining at night during our stay. The heated swimming pool overlooking the ocean was also very good and relaxing. Beach towels, and water sports activities were also included. The bed and cushions were very comfortable. Loved that was for adults only! We took the ferry and visited Airlie Beach and we had a nice lunch at The Pub. The Whitehaven Beach is a must-do! Just beautiful every way you look! We strongly recommend to stay at the Beach Club!

Having stayed 4 nights at the Beach Club in May 2025, we found it to be a haven of luxury, with charming and helpful staff, excellent service and spotless rooms. We ate in several of the Island’s 'best' restaurants and found the Beach Club restaurant to be by far the best. Just try their lamb :-) The pool and the beach were quiet with over half the loungers in both areas always free when we stayed, and the staff kept us topped-up with whatever we wanted - cocktails. The bar was well designed with half facing inwards towards the lovely lounge area and the other half facing outwards to the infinity pool. The bar staff made us fresh tea in a tea pot, or barrister coffee and brought it to us wherever we were, whenever we wanted – all complimentary.

The absolute best escape and hotel ever for a babymoon. If you want VIP treatment with easy convenient access to everything, the Beach Club is your pick. Breakfast and transfer service around the island and from airport all included. The staff are absolutely professional and friendly. The all adult restriction meant that there's peace and quiet by their infinity pool overlooking the beach. Unlimited filtered water, bath towels, use of kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gears are little attention to detail items included as part of the stay. More importantly exclusive area at the beach just for beach club residents. Just wanted to shoutout a few key people who made our stay exceeding our expectations: Langden for hosting us so perfectly, Hayden for taking care of my wife's dietary requirements and Maddie for helping us with beautiful photos by the beach and pool. Thank you beach club for the most memorable babymoon stay!

The Beach Club is really well positioned with direct access to the beach. We had a ground floor unit which opened the doors to palm trees, the beach and amazing calm ocean protected by the islands and reefs. The thing that really makes the beach Club is the staff who are out of this world. Kayla and Madi make amazing cocktails, Riane and Grace made amazing coffees in the morning. Laura always accommodated us when we forgot to make a booking for dinner and Beth was always alert and there in a flash when you needed a new cocktail. Meghann will go far in whatever she does, she is just that character and Gabriel, Courtney, Joan, Mark and Ben the rest of the team were of such a high standard it just makes you want to go back. Tariq, the GM is accessible and has an amazing admin team around him with Daniela, Gina, Melissa, Jenna and the awesome team at the front desk. The resort is wonderful but the staff make this place absolutely amazing.

This resort is the epitome of a tropical paradise. The beaches, sea views and rainforest are stunning, and it was wonderful to have a whole bungalow with beautiful views to ourselves. We even saw humpback whales from our balcony on several mornings! It was also great to be able to explore the island via various walking tracks. The restaurant and bar (and especially the sunset bar) had a great vibe and the food and cocktails were lovely. We also enjoyed the free kayaks, paddleboards and excellent value fishing equipment hire. The wildlife on the island was amazing, with an incredible variety of birds, butterflies, wallabies, frogs and lizards. Finally, all the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. I would like to particularly mention Chelsea, who went beyond the call of duty when we received some sad personal news during our stay, and James, who always had a smile behind the bar. This resort is the perfect place to get away from it all.

Palm Bay Resort is an amazing place to spend a few nights relaxing. This small resort has a lovely pool area, plenty of activities such as snorkeling, SUP, kayaking, walks, tennis etc. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere on the island and how quiet and peaceful it was. Our room (beachfront villa) was perfect for us. With lovely views of the beach from our deck and plenty of privacy and space. It was simple, nothing fancy. Palm Bay isn't top class luxury but it's still lovely. The grounds are well maintained, and the restaurant has a nice menu. As long as you're not expecting a big 5 star resort, you will appreciate how nice this place is.

A perfect few days away! So relaxing but still lots of fun to get up to (kayaking being a highlight). We were super impressed by the quality of the food and drink and the prices were very reasonable (amazing $20 cocktails). All the staff were helpful, chatty and lovely from the transfer staff, grounds keepers to the bar staff. Sofia was a stand out as she was lovely to chat to and a very attentive server at dinner. Overall we had the most amazing and relaxing time and we would love to come back as soon as possible !

Friendly and helpful staff, had a welcome cocktail ready for us on arrival even though we only gave them a half hour notice of our arrival time. Free upgrade to a stunning ocean view house. Absolutely love the service of being able to catch your own fish and get the restaurant to cook it up for dinner that night - which was delicious! The facilities, setting and location was amazing - loved the vibe of the sunset bar with majority of guests coming to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend and we will absolutely be back!

This island resort is paradise! Our room a beach bungalow was bigger than expected with fantastic views, picture perfect. All the staff were super friendly and also very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing. Jono the chief is producing exceptional meals- we come from Melbourne so the bar is high. Everything we ate was beautifully presented and delicious. Definitely 5 stars.

Great location and view from the room was amazing - it was so surreal! Probably the nicest view I’ve seen in my life. The pool/ jacuzzi was so lovely. Right next to the beach.

The pool was my favourite thing about the hotel - Large and with a jacuzzi which my wife and I enjoyed. The rooms are large and we paid the extra for a sea view balcony which was great. The rooms are a little aged but in a good condition - Watch out for the cockatoos! I enjoyed the bats flying over after dark. The hotel is right behind the beach.

We attended a wedding, and the catering was very good. Our unit from a high floor had lovely views. The bus transfer from the marina was easy and convenient. We enjoyed walking to a lookout point and regularly walked over to the marina area where we patronized the bakery and supermarket. Our unit had a kitchen with full oven with cooktop. No dishwasher however the dish washing supplies were replenished and I received a replacement tea towel when I requested one. Bath towels were replaced daily. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.

We had an incredible stay – the view was unreal! We even spotted whales right from our balcony. The location was ideal – on the resort side of the island, just 200m from the beach and within easy walking distance (around 800m) to the resort pool and playground. There’s also a coffee cart near reception each morning, which was a great bonus. It’s also close to walking tracks, making it perfect for exploring. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The air conditioning worked great, although we barely needed it. It was also very quiet – we hardly noticed any neighbours at all. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a relaxing island getaway.

This was our first stay in the bungalows and we loved it. Ours was situated at the end of a row and was a short walk to the beach , pool or indeed the marina. The bungalow was spacious with everything you needed , comfy bed and pillows , lovely bedding , powerful shower and good air con. The only minor thing was the wardrobe , very heavy sliding doors which were tricky to move if the drawers weren’t shut properly. The compact kitchen was fine , we only used it to make cups of tea as we had breakfast included. Breakfast could be taken at Reef View or Sails both a short stroll away. We preferred Sails for a quieter and more relaxed breakfast with everything you could ask for. The choice was better at Reef View but it was much busier there with lots of families staying . We loved seeing the wallabies outside the bungalows on strolling to the beach and also enjoyed the hammock on the terrace. Housekeeping was hit and miss , sometimes we were forgotten and the room wasn’t cleaned or items weren’t replaced like the toiletries or teabags and milk but a quick phone call and they always sent somebody over to rectify the matter. If we return we would stay here again as it was quiet and had everything we needed.

This was our fourth visit to Hamilton Island and staying in the Palm Bungalows. We had experienced pre, early post and later post pandemic visits. The bungalows always offered relative seclusion compared to the hotel accommodation and certainly an opportunity to self cater with a kitchenette. We had always enjoyed a relatively tranquil and orderly breakfast at Sails restaurant and wonderful meals at restaurants such as Mantaray, the Gold Club and the pinnacle of Bommie at the yacht club. The latter was not open on our previous two stays and bookings were rationed at the other restaurants as well. Our main disappointment on this occasion was that there was only one available breakfast option having chosen the pre paid option. This was at the Pool Terrace in the main hotel area, amongst a very rowdy crowd, shoulder to shoulder at the buffet. Following a discussion with Raza Syed (the manager), he provided a very satisfactory compromise with us. The Sails breakfast reopens tomorrow ( as we leave today) at the start of school holidays. Our thanks to Raza and the wonderful staff we encountered during our stay in the various entertainment and dining areas.

Our bungalow was nicely updated and had good, quiet air conditioning and a reasonably comfortable bed. The location is pretty central on Hamilton Island and we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The housekeeping was reliable and the room was clean when we arrived. There is a kitchenette in the room with coffee, tea, microwave, stove and refrigerator. We purchased a package that included breakfast at the Reef View Hotel and we were only there for 3 nights so we didn’t use the kitchenette for anything more than tea. Our trip also included airport transfers and we never felt the need to rent a golf cart for transportation but lots of people do.

Our bungalow was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. All very clean with good amenities which were replaced as we used them during our stay. We had daily towel changes and bed linen which is great in a hot climate. Good air conditioning plus a ceiling fan. Integral safe and plenty of storage including a clothes airer to dry wet towels, swimwear etc. overall excellent. The Reef Hotel restaurant which we used for breakfast was very good, lots of choice and food regularly replenished and fresh, great choice of fresh fruit, bakery and hot food items.

We absolutely loved our four night stay at Palm Bungalows. We were met at the airport and transferred by shuttle bus to the Reef View Hotel, for a seamless check in. Our luggage was then transferred (with us included) via buggy to our doorstep. The bus stop for blue and green buses is about 5 mins walk. The bungalows, are surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and is perfectly located- a short walk to the marina/restaurants/tours and a 5 min walk to Catseye beach. Our bungalow was well equipped with kitchen set up. The bed and pillow were super comfortable. The shower (pressure and heat) were spot on. The toiletries (ink and water) were so nice. Check out is at 10am and if you can't find something to keep you occupied, the hotel has a departure lounge to hang around in. The wifi was good. Nice and quiet too and surrounded by cute wallabies. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Reef View Hotel. Although we were only on the 4th floor, the view was incredible & we watched the sunrise most mornings. Our room very large & was clean, comfortable, modern & was serviced each day. The beds were comfortable & the facilities were good. We loved the buffet breakfast each morning, there was so much variety & the food was delicious & replenished regularly. We also had dinner in the Pool Terrace Restaurant one night & the food was delicious & the staff were friendly. The hotel pool was the best to swim in because it was heated & it was enjoyable to relax on a lounge next to the pool or the beach which was also very close.

This hotel was so tranquil for our anniversary stay. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, room was large with 2 comfy double king beds, big clean bathroom with shower and bath, very clean and modern hotel, balcony has incredible views of the ocean and islands and with some friendly cockatoos visiting us each morning. Wallabies on the lawn at sunset. Access to all pools and restaurants. Free air-con shuttle buses to marina and one tree hill (sunset spot) every 10 mins making the island so accessible in the heat of summer. Very tranquil hotel set amongst a beautiful natural background. Very enjoyable stay, we will definitely be back and couldn’t recommended this hotel enough!!

The view from the Coral Sea room was absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect, walk to the beach or pools and free 10 minute shuttle bus to the marina. The room is large and comfortable, decor is classic nothing fancy. The bathroom is spacious and includes a bath. The mini bar was well stocked. We had room service every day, and the food was really good. On the last day we had the buffet breakfast at Pool Terrace, but for us the room service breakfasts were better - better coffee and better value. Everywhere you turned there was a smiling staff member ready to help. This is the Reef View’s strongest selling point for me, and it made our stay so enjoyable.

The best thing about this hotel is view from the balcony (Sea View) Its absolutely stunning! Top tips, when you arrive at the airport go straight to the hotel desk located by the luggage collection. Don't collect your luggage first. Semi check in and get your luggage tag from them. They tell you which free shuttle bus you catch. Then collect your luggage from the carousel and attach the tag. This will save you a big queue. When you get to the hotel after checking in, if you can collect your luggage and take it to the room yourself. It takes ages for it to come up otherwise. To be fair they warn you of this. The Reception Staff were very nice and friendly. The rooms. As mentioned the view is breathtaking. The beds are very comfortable, which is a must for me. The room itself was a little tried, worn carpet, old furniture etc, but that did not bother me as it was clean and good. The bad bits. The food, I ordered the Burger and chips. The Burger was oozing liquid and wasn't the best. Later that night I did not feel good at all. I thought the bar staff were Ok, but could have been friendlier. The chap they hired to sing was very poor! I stayed on the 16th Floor. It's high up and the balcony is not overly high, it's a long way down! If I had children with me, personally I would not have been happy. As a travelling adult I would stay there again, mainly for the stunning view but eat at the Marina restaurants.

Perfect location on catseye beach, great views and plenty of activities included with the rate. Rooms were spacious and quiet and easily accommodated our family of three. Lots of friendly cockatoos visiting the balcony but not being a nuisance. Beds were comfortable and daily service was efficient, plenty of towels for the pool and the room. Buffet breakfast met expectations for variety and we were quickly seated every day. Be aware they don't cater to dietary restrictions particularly well in the kitchen, lots of cross contamination in the cooking process. Overall though we enjoyed the breakfast it was great value for money and the kids loved it.

Stayed at Poinciana 206, the photos are better than the actual unit, but it was comfortable, relatively clean, and suited our needs. it came with a buggy, which was an absolute bonus, a large fridge, which was clean and washing machine and dryer, which was great, coffee machine and pods. beds were very comfortable. ideal location, central to both the marina and Catseye Beach, and lovely view over Catseye from the balcony. the Valet service was exceptional, and prompt, very friendly welcome.

Great unit with fantastic views of Catseye Beach, beds were comfy and plenty of room for the famliy. Golf buggy and the location was perfect, BBQ worked on the balcony (don't feed the birds) and there is a lovely pool to have a swim after the beach. Make sure you wear seatbelts in the golf buggy as there are now big fines for this. Try the walks up the hill, lots of different routes to take from steep to not so hard, just walk up the road from the unit and you'll see a map (take lots of water). Marina Tavern is good for a family pub meal but get there early (5.30-6pm) to avoid the 30min wait for a table, the Bakery has great coffee, pies and sandwiches, we also liked the fish and chip shop plus IGA has BBQ chickens as a quick meal option. Beach towels are supplied so no need to pack them. We did the sunset/champagne cruise and the half day snorkelling tour and both were terrific. Overall a wonderful week with our adult kids but remember this is not a budget holiday.

We stayed at the hibiscus room 103 and we couldn’t of asked for anything more. The view was absolutely amazing and was beautiful to wake up to every morning. Plenty of room and very clean and tidy inside. Beach towels supplied which was great 😊. Very close to pools and beach, the buggy was also awesome to have to explore the island. We were met at the airport where he gave us our buggy, placed our luggage on his and dropped us off at the apartment. ❤️ overall wonderful experience would highly recommend.

The beach lodge at Hamilton island was perfect in every way. Close to everything. Beautiful apartment equipped with all you need fir an enjoyable stay. And the view over catseye beach is stunning . Plus the bonus of having a buggy included to get around the island is fantastic. Would definitely recommend staying here & would book it again

The location and views were fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful, the room was ok but somewhat dated, the entry area was not really inviting, storage cupboards were poorly fitted, the timber floors inside and outside needed repairs or replacement. Kitchen had been updated with decent appliances, dishes ok, sliding door to balcony needed adjustments hard to use, no functioning lock. Additionally be aware Hamilton Island has limited service facilities in restaurants and tours so ESSENTIAL to book in advance all dinners and tours to ensure you will be able to dine and explore the area. Overall fantastic time and place.

The view was absolutely beautiful, waking up to the ocean each morning was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, and Brian was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The place felt peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a quiet getaway.

This was a last minute booking after the chosen one fell through but I certainly wasn't disappointed with the 3 nights we stayed there. It's is in an amazing location with such a view over the balcony. It was so relaxing and lovely to have breakfast on the balcony with that view. It's a small room with separate bathroom, polished timber floors. It's comfortable and my son and i slept well. It's a bit tricky to get to first time as you have to take a long loop around the bottom of the place and up a narrow driveway. Parking is very tight in a larger vehicle such as a dual cab ute. They have a very friendly car that kind of invited herself in and made herself comfortable on the bed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It is the perfect place to be if you want to be on the coast but don't like the bustling backpacker and tourist hurly-burly in Airlie Beach. The atmosphere is familiar, friendly and the view from the balcony is a true one million dollar view. You get more than you paid for. You might just get disturbed by neighbours in another room (which did not happen during our stay) - there is no traffic in front of your room and the only "noise" you hear might be some birds on one of the palm trees in front of the balcony or a small fishermen's boats in the lagoon. Very romantic, quiet, a pity we had to leave after just two nights.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during the week. The view is AMAZING. Even when the weather turned (both pics are from the same balcony!) It was still an awesome view. The room was VERY basic but clean. There is a pack in the room that explains that you need to pay extra for cutlery and crockery and provides some other pretty unwelcoming info such as stipulating your wifi time (before you will be cut off!). HOWEVER... when we asked for crockery it was actually free of charge as were bbq implements etc. i.e. The owner was much nicer than the paperwork made it seem. Be warned: there is no cafe or supermarket nearby so bring your own food. (Even though it's only a 10-15 min drive to Airlie). The view is so amazing it's a shame to leave the room at all. Worth every cent!! You'd need to pay ALOT more for this kind of view elsewhere.

Myself, husband and our 2yr stayed at the coral point lodge for 3 nights, all I can say is WOW ! The view from the room and the pool were breathtaking. The lodge was very quiet and we didn’t hear from any other guests. It was one of the most relaxing, peaceful, beautiful places we have ever been to. The room is neat and tidy and it fit the 3 of us, we paid $170 a night, higher rate due to the time of the year I think. Owner of the lodge lives onsite and is very accommodating and very friendly. View from the pool deck are amazing and I could of sat on the pool lounges all day looking at the view! The photos do not do it justice. I can’t wait to come back and stay longer.

Ignore all negative reviews! We are a family of 4, 2A 2K (12 & 8). Daydream Island was the best! Previous negative reviews worried me however found them to be completely untrue. My advice is call the resort if you have any questions or aren't clear on things. Rooms- Very clean, spacious Shower had great pressure, beds were so comfortable. Food was delicious and PLENTY! Breakfast had the same menu everyday but we stayed 6 nights and had something different every morning. Room service was available. Food delivered quickly (20 min), hot and very tasty. A great variety for kids and adults available. For lunch you can purchase from "the shack" until 3.30pm or from Salti restaurant (Mediterranean cuisine) Three restaurants open from lunch/Dinner until 8.30pm (booking advised for Salti and Infinity (Asian cuisine). Graze is the 3rd restaurant (ala carte/room service) Honestly, everything we ate were tasty, big servings. Pool bar- they have their own drink menu but will make what you request. A little patience is needed, however no different to any other places we've stayed at. Gift shop sells drinks/snacks/necessities. Customer service - WOW. Everyone was welcoming, smiles on their faces, happy to help. Dylan welcomed us and was so nice and informative. A massive thank you and recognition of these staff for being amazing... Pacifique, Amelia, Reine, 2 girls in the Pool Bar (unfortunately I didnt get their names) and a very sweet Islander gentleman whose name began with C.

We really enjoyed our stay at Daydream Island. The staff are fantastic and the food was very good. Our room was comfortable and clean. The island is a really beautiful spot with crystal clear blue waters, fantastic pool areas, and the living reef really gives you the full experience of being at The Great Barrier Reef. There are plenty of activities on the island as well as trivia nights, bingo, and outdoor cinema. There are many tour options leaving Daydream Island daily for those who want to visit the reef, Hamilton Island, Airlie Beach,or Whitehaven Beach. The rooms have on-demand movies with a large selection including new releases. It would be great to have additional dining options. There is essentially two restaurants for dinner which while great, it does get a bit repetitive after a week. We also recommend making bookings for dinner before arriving as the two restaurants get booked out resulting in being restricted to having to do take away back to your room.

The property itself is lovely and the rooms are spacious with very comfy (new) beds. Generous amount of towels given and nice bathroom amenities. We received an upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Beautiful pools and the underwater aquarium is amazing. Buffet breakfast is pretty standard but has a nice view of the fish and aquariums. Few issues - 1. We arrived at 11am and had given prior notice we would be early, early checkin isn’t guaranteed which is fine however our room wasn’t ready until almost 3pm which is an hour after the guaranteed check in time of 2pm! 2. One end of the island looks like a derelict ghost town - everything is closed, the pool is out of order and generally looked rundown and forgotten about. 3. Room service is for nighttime only 4. No real lunch options available which is annoying since you can’t pop down the road to go get food. 5. Coffee pods not replenished daily. The Infinity restaurant is an absolute standout - the food is incredible and lovely staff there. Highly recommend eating here!!

Had an enjoyable 4 nights and found the place clean and comfortable. The pools are fantastic. I was apprehensive about the dining options but the food tasted absolutely amazing at the two restaurants. We had one night where the emergency alarms went off at least 5 times that we heard. However when asleep it is hard to hear the alarms inside the room. Which wouldn’t be good in an emergency. Staff were all friendly and helpful. It would be great if there was another option of getting to and from the island to Airlie beach and Hamilton island though. Especially in the evenings. We missed out on one of our nights due to ferry leaving ten minutes prior to arrival of the bus after our flight and had to find accommodation elsewhere at last minute. Would totally return to daydream island and absolutely adored the aquariums

Had a great family holiday with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Rooms were great and very quiet with comfy beds. Great selection at buffet breakfast and so nice to sit by the aquarium. Kayaking, snorkeling, nature trails and lots of day tours as well as relaxing by the pool. Only fault is the menu for lunch and dinner. It didn’t change, even the specials, and we got bored of the food quite quickly. We also were stung with the fish we caught ourselves - $35/ea to cook it and only 2 of our 4 ate it. Would have been good for reception to tell us this beforehand. We were also told we would get sides for that but were charged for everything and when I questioned it the next morning, our bill couldn’t be found.

We loved the view and the use of a buggy. It is such a convenience. Not every time the buggy is included in the accommodation rate, so this was definitely a plus. We stayed at apartment 14 and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We liked the fact that it was in the quiet area, and we were not disturbed by the night life. We had a nice water view with cockatoos visiting us on the balcony. Check in and check out was also quick and smooth, host was helpful and friendly. We would definitely book again. We did the Whiteheaven beach cruise, which was pleasant. Most of the days, we hang around the Bougainvillea pool, which is good for kids. We tried the Main pool too, which is right next door, but it was quite noisy for us. Both pools are also right next to the beach. Make sure you visit the One Tree Hill lookout for sunset, it is sensational. Lots of restaurants, cafes and IGA to use for groceries. Overall, we had an amazing time. It was our first time at Hamilton Island and we were very pleasantly surprised. The landmark is beautiful, the buggies are fun, lots of wildlife around and beautiful weather. Great destination if you need few days to relax and it is just 2 hours from Sydney.

My friendly host, Dean met me at the airport :) He led me to my buggy which I’d be zooming around in for six days. He gave me lots of information and escorted me to my fully self contained 2 bedroom apartment which was in a quiet leafy area with stunning ocean views. He was only a phone call away, should I need anything during my stay. My friend joined me for three nights, so a bedroom each was nice. The beds were comfy, neatly made up with clean sheets. Aircon in the bedrooms was a bonus on the hot, humid nights. Beach/pool towels were supplied. Pool was the perfect temperature.

Likes: golf buggy very good, property was very quiet, great views, kettle and fans and air conditioners and lights all worked, property was clean on the inside. Dislikes: top floor balcony plus awning need guernying to remove dirt and mould, top balcony chair cushions need cleaning of bird poo, carpets need proper cleaning to remove stains, floor tiles in kitchen all chipped, no hand towel in kitchen (there is a tea towel), lounge area rug needs a good vacuum clean, overhead fans need cleaning top and bottom, need a small blower to remove numerous leaves from the outdoor area, other minor issues that a handyman could fix.

The property is very comfortable, in good position and well serviced, full of accessories. The pick up was good. Unfortunately dishes wasn’t clean so i had to re-clean all. The baggy was for free for us and it was a very good surprise for us, it was so great turn around the island with this vehicle. We had to speak with someone's for few question/problems with not functioning low battery buggy’s signal but it’s not so easy like appear to talk with someone. However a very good stay for a week.

Location was great, as we had a buggy supplied. However if you wasn't able to drive the buggy it would be a hard location to get to, as the island is very hilly. The apartment itself has amazing views of the sea, and it was very spacious, we would stay here again! The island itself is stunning, lots to do, and day trips available. Great stay overall.
