Hotels with Jacuzzi in Room in Hella

I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with hot tub with two friends for one night as part of our visit to the south coast of Iceland. The property is lovely, recently renovated and simple but beautiful. The apartment was spacious and well equipped with a kitchenette with glasses, plates, silverware, and enough basic pots and pans to cook if you like. We ate at the restaurant on site instead - the food was delicious and the wine selection was very nice. The star of the show was the private hot tub! All we had to do was uncover it and it was pre heated and very clean, and more hot water flowed in every 15 minutes or so. We used the provided robes, and the towel warmer in the bathroom was perfect for drying our suits after. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and functional. Buffet breakfast the next morning was included and was the best we had in Iceland with plentiful options of eggs sausage breads meats and cheeses, waffle bar, fruits, etc. The staff was kind and helpful, especially when we arrived shortly before restaurant close (they helped us get seated immediately) and when we left a personal item in the breakfast room (they located it right away and held it for us until we could return). This hotel is between the attractions on the south coast and the Golden Circle, and was only about 25 minutes to the Westman Island ferry. There seemed to be a few large tour groups, and the common area saunas and hot tub seemed like they were a little busy.

We stayed here while on a tour of Southern Iceland, and were very pleased. The family apartment was warm, clean and the private hot tub perfect for relaxing after a long day. Beds were comfortable and the kitchenette facilities good for self-catering if required, although the hotel restaurant and bar were good. The bar staff got a little overwhelmed during a busy evening period, and it seemed odd that you can't reserve a table. The only room complaint was that sound does travel a bit between rooms, but our did seem to be moving furniture constantly so it may have just been them.

This hotel was perfect for our stay! Clean rooms, fabulous breakfast, the rooms are decorated in a very Icelandic fashion nothing super fancy but comfortable-everything you need and very clean! the hot tub and sauna were great and having a bar and restaurant on site was very handy. Only thing I could say is that we used the coffee cups in the room and glasses, and they weren't replaced the second night so if they could be sure to check on that when cleaning up the room that would be great. Overall would highly recommend!

My wife and I recently took our first short trip to Iceland. We stayed at the Stracta Hotel for 3 nights while daytripping around the southern coast of Iceland. We selected the deluxe suite and I cannot say enough nice things about it. When entering the room we were immediately impressed by the style and look of our our suite. It was absolutely gorgeous. The furniture was comfortable and the private hot tub was amazing. Overall it was just very stylish and very comfortable. We had the included breakfast each morning we were there and there was a wide selection of food to choose from and more than enough to get our day started. We also choose to eat at the bistro one evening while there. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel Laekur is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who own it. My husband and I traveled to Iceland for our wedding along with our family and friends. They made our wedding weekend incredible. After our day long adventures it was so nice to come back to comfortable, quiet, and beautiful place. The owners were so accommodating to us and our guests and went above and beyond any expectations we had. We had our "rehearsal" dinner and wedding reception here. The food was DELICIOUS! They also made our wedding cake which was so pretty and so good. They worked with our wedding planner and florist to turn the dinning room into a romantic setting and we were floored when we came in. The service was outstanding. They met every need we had and even ones we didn't know we had - like bringing a beautiful breakfast tray to our rooms on the morning of our wedding so we had something to eat while getting ready. We stayed in one of the cottages for our trip and it was so cozy, clean, and modern. We felt right at home! Truly, I do not think our wedding would have been what it was had we not stayed here. If you're coming to Iceland you must stay here! You will not regret it. Thank you Hotel Laekur! We miss you guys already!

The 2 bedroom cottage was perfect for my family of 3. The cottage was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the stream and countryside. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Laekur! We stayed in one of the cottages separate from the main lodge. The view of the creek and farm land from the cottage was amazing especially nice touch was the sky light in the loft. The cottage was up to date, very clean and had everything we needed. The thermal heating was more than enough to keep us warm. The breakfast was very ample and provided a good start to the morning. The staff was great throughout the stay. Our only issue was connecting to the wifi from the cottage. Of course we were on vacation, but it is kind of essential in order to double check road conditions, weather, tickets for plan excursions, etc. We were able to go over to the lodge and pick up the wifi though and usual did this right after breakfast to make sure of our plans for the day. Overall, we would highly recommend Hotel Laekur.

It's a great family operated hotel. They provided a great breakfast and dinner menu was excellent. The only draw back is that like many hotels on the south coast drive, it location is set well back from Route1. So you gotta have a car and you gotta plan your meals. If you are out and return late you may be too late for dinner. That being said, I was there when a guest showed up about 15 after meal service ended and they got him dinner. The rooms are spotless and roomy, with all that you need: TV and lots of outlets. The staff was very helpful, yes I would go back.

Hotel Laekur is an amazing place in a tranquil setting. if you want to see the Northern Lights (when they are out) you literally just walk out of the door. the location is well away from light pollution. The food is all homemade and delicious. The rooms are very modern and clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. we have stayed twice at the hotel in the past three years and would recommend the hotel to anybody. you do need a car but driving, many of the attractions such as the Golden Circle are in easy reach

We enjoyed the location. We saw the northern lights and there is a hottub. The bathroom was clean and the people were nice.

The location is on a farm off of the main road. It is very quiet as you are surrounded by fields. House is cozy, spacious, and clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Shared bathrooms were very clean. Check-in was easy, be sure to check your email afterwards for the code to the door to get in and put GPS into your phone to find the turn off. Host was very accomodating with anything we needed including towels and coffee. Wifi was fast.

Overall a great , clean, spacious property. Room was clean and bright, comfortable beds. Dining and kitchen area is very spacious and spotless. The only thing we didn’t like much was the bathroom situation, two showers in one bathroom so if one person is using shower, you have to wait even though there is another shower in there. It’s also a bit tricky to find the house at night so definitely keep that in mind if you will be arriving late.

I stayed at South Central Guest House while visiting the golden circle for 2 days and the location was perfect to split the 2 days and after having spent part of the evening at the hidden lagoon. My room had 4 beds. The hostel was very clean and featured a large kitchen with eating area and TV room. The area is very quiet and has a horse farm in the back. I was greeted by a beautiful view of the plain and the mountains in the morning. Do not expect any activity here at night, there is no town in the immediate vicinity. During my stay the owner stopped by and we had a pleasant chat about the area and horse farming. If you are looking for a clean place to spend the night I recommend this hostel.

Amazing and cozy cabin near to Selfoss. Everything you need was provided along with a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay there very much and the Hottub behind the main house was an amazing end to awesome days.

The cabin was cozy and equipped with almost all the kitchenwares fitting the basic need. We tried Jacuzzi outside the reception, tho it was raining, we still enjoyed the crazy night:) Horse stable is near by the stay, you can easily see very tender and nice horses .

We really enjoyed this cottage and the location, away from everything. It is part of a horse farm and it was wonderful to look out our many window views to see the Icelandic horses. The views were just gorgeous and having a private deck with table to eat our breakfast and enjoy the view and the snow was lovely. Absolutely plenty of room in the cottage, and we really loved the warming towel rack. We also liked the cats that seemed to belong on the farm. They were sweet and quite friendly. We had an impressive northern lights display during the evening and with no light pollution it was brilliant. We also went to bed and listened to the rain and then snow fall and woke up to the most beautiful scenery. We loved the couch and lounging area and a place in the kitchen to cook and eat. It was very relaxing sitting on the couch with a hot cup of tea and a book and look out the window. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant looked lovely.

Amazing staff - so welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful and peaceful dining room and relaxation area. Wonderful home-cooked food (buffet style). Great views. Quiet. Very cozy and relaxing.

Everything!! We had the top 2 cabins, numbers 7&8. The views were beautiful, the cabin was cosy and well designed. The beds were comfortable and the veranda was gorgeous! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, we were celebrating a 40th birthday, they put up fairy lights and balloons, they put cakes in the fridge for us! It was amazing! The breakfast was so delicious, such a homely place to dine and it was all cooked fresh for us. I wish we could have stayed longer. You MUST do the horse riding!!

This was our favorite stop on our trip! We stayed here 3 nights, and it was the perfect base to explore the Golden Circle and Heimaey Island. The apartment was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and it was wonderful having the washer/dryer. The bathroom was large and had a nice shower. Hot tub was relaxing. Grocery store and restaurants are nearby.

Amazing accomodation. Very lovely location. The place was very spacious even for 5 people, very clean and comfortable, and had anything you need. The hot tub was simply amazing to use and relax in after a long day on the road. The perfect way to end a day!

Beautiful, comfortable rental - beds were very nice with clean bedding. Lots of space for my family of 4. Linda was very responsive and helpful. There was a hot tub, but the weather did not cooperate and so we didn't get a chance to use it. Only there 2 nights but we appreciated a warm, clean place to come home to after sightseeing all day. High ceilings make for a spacious feel. Did not use the sofa bed other than as a sofa - worked very well for that!

Everything was percect, the best value for money! It's in the middle of all attractions, so location was perfect. Staff is really kind and helpful. We could use FREE jacuzzi every day. Beds are really comfortable. It was super clean, they gave us new towels every day. Apartment was bigger than I expected and it had coffe, salt, sugar and other necessityes. Also, perfect spot for watching northern lights!

Good size comfortable apartment with everything we needed at a good price. The bed was really cosy and comfortable and we made good use of the hot tub, though you do need to give the owners a couple of hours notice before hand. You won't want to get out again with this cold weather! Location is about 15 minutes drive from the town of Selfoss and a good central point for the golden circle area. Owners we're really friendly and helpful.

We rented the two-bedroom apartment. It was large, cozy, very clean and had all the amenities including great coffee and filters. Very well equipped kitchen. Well off the main road, so very quiet. We made use of the hot tub which was not private, but was just a few steps from our front door. No one else seemed to use it during our stay. Location was between Selfoss with shopping and diverse restaurants and Fludir with its lovely geothermal lagoon

The property was clean and facilities were modern and well equipped. The windows had views of glaciers in the distance and would likely be a great place to see the northern lights at the right time of year. Amazing shower and warm geothermally heated floors. There were 2 sweet, gentle, non-barking dogs named Moi and Katla who came to hang out with us outside while we enjoyed the view. There is an oven which is a huge plus given much food is sold frozen at the grocery stores. We would definitely stay here again. Free Netflix and good WiFi. Perfectly situated to head toward the Golden Circle or southern Iceland (towards Vik).

The experience was very unique. For a few days we got to live in a cabin (with all conveniences of a modern world like a dishwasher, coffea maker, Wi-Fi and even Netflix) located in the middle of icelandic wilderness. It was a perfect combination. Breathtaking views, crystal clean air, quietness and privacy. The cabin location offers a perfect, unobstructed view in every direction. We were lucky enough to experience Northern Lights 3 nights in the row. A perfect base for a golden circle touring. Just make sure every day to leave the cabin a little earlier than planned - you just have to have time to play with the dogs :)

This place was amazing! It was very clean and cozy. Full kitchen with an oven, so we were able to cook dinner for ourselves. Beautiful location with a great view. Large bathroom with a great shower that never got cold. We also met the host’s 2 sweet dogs, Katla and Moi, who are both beyond friendly!

This was a really unique little house and we have never stayed in anything like it before. It was small and clean for our family of four and had everything we needed. The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch. We were able to prepare a meal in the little kitchen. No microwave. The host was nice and friendly. There is nothing in the immediate area so you have to plan to buy food at the supermarket which was about 15 mins away. The views were nice and the area was quiet. The owner has dogs which were friendly and came to say hello and play catch with us. I would recommend but be mindful that there are no stores or restaurants close by.

I booked a room for 3 nights, unfortunately I arrived late so I could not meet the host but I talked to her via the Ring camera in the reception enterance , she was so lovely and kind, check-in and out was very smooth. The room is large, clean and the kitchen has all staff we need and the Wi-fi was perfect. The bed is so comfortable and help you to sleep well after long day of hiking and site seeing. The location is super and near to many spots, the sunset view and the midnight sun view was amazing.

The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. The front desk staff was very helpful and responsive. Good spread for breakfast. Onsite restaurant was a good option for dinner. Valhalla restaurant right across from the hotel is also a fun place to check out.

Check in was easy and straightforward. Parking was sufficient. My room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel looks outdated and there was a lot of paint chipping, etc. Had the feel of a budget highway motel in the USA (I have no issues with either, but you can tell they don’t prioritize upgrading the place). I could not find any outlets in the hotel room to use, all were occupied by the few lights in the room and seemed to be painted into place. There was a small tv, a table and chairs and blackout curtains. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection and was vegetarian friendly. The staff was attentive to replacing items when they ran out (coffee, etc).

The Hotel Hvolsvollur was like a nice chain hotel in the US. Our room had a private bathroom and was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Parking was free in the lot. A very nice, included breakfast was served with many choices. The restaurant served dinner also, but there were other restaurant options in the area.

This was by far the largest hotel room we had out of 7 hotels in Iceland. The room had 4 twin beds, a desk, wardrobe, and a full size sectional sofa and coffee table. This was also the only hotel room to have a refrigerator. Beds were comfortable. Room had best black out curtains of all hotels also. Our only complaints might be no elevator- my 75 year old mother had a little trouble carrying suitcase upstairs. The shower/bathtub enclosure was very tall making it difficult for her to step in and out (even a little high for me). Breakfast was more than adequate. They had toast with numerous fresh jellies and peanut butter, a pancake maker, 3 lunch meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs, herring, yogurts, dry cereal, sausage and beans. We were very happy with our experience here. A few tidbits about Iceland hotels in general: Towels are placed on your bed, not in the bathroom so try to remember to take it in with you! All hotels seem to have tiny sinks, just a little basin mounted to wall with no counter space for your toiletry bag. They do not use top sheets; they have a down like blanket in duvet cover which gets very warm so I recommend turning the radiator down for sleeping. Curtains generally can't block all the light (except this hotel was excellent in that regard) so if you need total darkness to sleep bring an eye mask. They don't have washcloths. All the twin beds were extra long which my 6' 5" son appreciated but the blanket wasn't long enough.

Hotel Hvolsvollur was fantastic. After seeing that check in closed at 10pm, I emailed to inform the hotel that we might be a little later than 10pm due to picking up our car rental and being new to the Icelandic roads. The hotel were very accommodating and emailed back quickly to say they would stay open for us. We really appreciated the hospitality after such a long and tiring day! The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable bed! We also enjoyed our breakfast in the morning which has a nice variety of food and drinks. Over-all we loved this hotel and would stay again!
