We stayed at Hotel K5 for 6 nights. We found the location perfect for a longer stay as the hotel is situated in Nihombashi Kabutocho, a quieter neighbourhood in Tokyo that remains close to metro stations, convenience stores and restaurants. The staff was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, the level of care and attention that we received from everyone was beyond what we ever experienced in any hotel. The property is beautiful. The design is modern and fresh. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at Caveman (their restaurant on the main floor) and cannot recommend it enough. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The coffee at Switch coffee is excellent. They also have a beer hall in their basement level that seems really interesting but we didn’t get a chance to go.

Our stay at K5 Hotel in Tokyo was nothing short of exceptional. As a design hotel, it truly lived up to its reputation with an aesthetic that was both innovative and elegant. The staff at K5 Hotel were incredibly professional and attentive, adding a personal touch to our experience. They were always ready to assist with any requests and offered excellent recommendations for exploring the city. Overall, our stay at K5 Hotel was a unique and memorable experience. The combination of impeccable design, top-notch service, and excellent breakfast made it one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish and sophisticated stay in Tokyo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the K5 hotel in Tokyo. The entire property is beautifully designed, and our loft suite was spacious, modern and comfortable. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast in the restaurant Caveman was delicious and excellent value considering the quality and quantity of items. We didn't have dinner there this time, but the food looked amazing. I would happily stay at K5 again, and recommend it as a great option for accomodation in Tokyo.

Room was really spacious (esp. given Japanese hotel standards), quiet and with a great double bed. Kudos on top-notch interior design, including modern turntable and eclectic choice of records. Staff was friendly and attentive. A real boutique hotel. The bar/breakfast area was also nicely designed as well and had good coffee (and coffee tonic). Somewhat “hipster“ in a positive sense — large windows łooking at the back entrance of JPX Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nice bar on ground floor specializing in sawa-based drinks.

We absolutely loved our stay at K5, from the staff, to the restaurant, cafe, the cocktail bar, the overall atmosphere, the design, esthetics and attention to details - it acceded our expectations. The rooms are rather small, but very cozy, very well designed, you actually feel like you have a very organized space to move around, open big luggage etc. The lighting in the rooms was absolutely beautiful, and very instagrammable if I might add. Location is not the best per say, it is around the Tokyo stock exchange in our of Tokyo's financial districts, but it's super safe, has cute Cafes, and was walkable to Ginza. Another important feature that the location has is its very close to a good subway line that can quickly get you to Shibuya. The beds were so comfy, the temperature in the room was perfect, the shower was super well design, albeit not having a bath, do request a room with one if it's important to you.

It is peacefully situated near Nijo castle and absolutely stunning in every way. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the rooms are perfect in absolutely every way. The mattress is probably the most comfortable I have slept on in any hotel. I noticed that the keys which allow you entrance to the elevator and onto your floor upon scanning in the elevator are extremely well thought out. Our party had English and Japanese, but another we shared the elevator with spoke Arabic. The elevator, upon scanning the keys gave the usual instructions and guidance in each language. Never have I seen that before. All the amenities were amazing and the drinks supplied in the room were delicious. I cannot praise this hotel and the staff enough. Breakfast was also delicious and a really peaceful atmosphere. I'm sure I've forgotten an area to praise but myself and the family have agreed this is our favorite hotel and we hope we will be able to come back again another time.

The rooms are amazing and the amenities provided are top notch. Each day they stock your coffee, water, juice and tea. I for one love coffee and the drip coffee bags tasted amazing. I did not have the included breakfast here because the price is rather expensive for a breakfast, but I'm sure the food is great if it is anything like the evening waffles and whiskey service they offer. Location is okay being near the castle, but if you are taking public transit, note the nearest subway station is about a 20 minute walk. But Uber/taxi prices are not bad from Kyoto Station around 2000 yen. I would definitely stay here again. The staff are all incredible and the hotel is very be clean and comfortable.

I loved returning to this hotel each day. Immediately, you have a lavender/rosemary? scent when walking in. The hotel is bright, ambient, and comforting. Upon check in we were offered a cup of tea and our luggage was waiting for us as we utilised the luggage transfer option offered in Japan. We also had the breakfast option and we took advantage of it every morning! They offered both a Japanese breakfast, and more American style breakfast which was so much appreciated. They also offered, fresh greens, yogurt, and fresh fruit as well. In the room there was a nice storage area to keep your shoes, jackets, dresses, day bags and we made use of it all every day. The room was cleaned every day and that service was very much appreciated although I didn't appreciate being told by the cleaners at 10:15AM I had a half hour to get out of the room for them to provide their cleaning services, as I had been suffering a migraine that morning and so moving about speedily was not really a priority! I was under the impression the signs for cleaning had to be out on the door by noon in order for cleaning services, so I was a bit confused why I had a half hour time limit to leave for them to clean the room at 10:15am, I understand they are trying to do their jobs though. Other than that, the service was impeccable and very helpful counter staff who would call us a taxi whenever we needed it, assisted with restaurant reservations, and also they assisted with the luggage transfer back to Tokyo!

The interior design of the hotel looks luxury and very cosy. Don't expect any view from the window but the ambient light and the decorations in your room are very satisfying. There is everything you need in your room and it is also quite spacious for japanese standards. Super comfy bed, big TV, separate toilet, spacious shower room. Amazing value for the price.

From the moment we arrived, B:CONTE Asakusa felt like a well-kept apartment in the heart of Tokyo. The location is unbeatable—mere minutes from Senso-ji Temple, subway access, and a wide array of shops, eateries, and convenience stores. Our room was remarkably spacious for Tokyo standards, equipped with a kitchenette, washer/dryer combo, and modern amenities that allowed us to cook light meals and keep our luggage fresh throughout a week’s stay. The bed was comfy, and everything was clean and thoughtfully equipped. A highlight was the fantastic team on site—friendly, proactive, and genuinely helpful, even coordinating pre-arrival assistance. Though we stayed near street level, noise was minimal, especially after 10 PM; some guests suggest specifying a higher floor if you’re especially sensitive to outside sounds. Altogether, excellent value for money—if you’re looking for a practical, cozy and convenient base in Tokyo, B:CONTE Asakusa ticks all the boxes.

The location of the hotel is excellent, short walk to bus stop (bus 46, good and fast connection to Ueno station), or a 10 minute walk to Asakusa metro station. Lots of restaurants around, 7 eleven, Lawson etc. Even a large Don Quichote down the road. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room is spacious for Tokyo, and has all included one could need. Fridge, microwave, kettle, all kitchen utensils etc. The washing/drying machine in the room was a great bonus, easy to use and within 3 hours we had all our laundry fresh, dry and clean. Excellent water pressure and a great shower. Spacious bathroom. Good storage space everywhere. The bed was comfortable although relatively small with 1,20 or 1.40 width, not sure we did not measure but it was small ;). Overall great value for money and we would stay again, for sure. Highly recommended.

Very well appointed clean room, firm and comfortable queen bed (description said double), Nespresso machine, washer/dryer, very quiet on the street before 10 and after 22 h, hotel is very quiet, excellent A/C, excellent shower and all products available where of good quality. Kitchenette well equipped although we only used it for cold breakfast. Staff at reception are very welcoming and pleasant. Many grocery stores and konbinis very close as are many restaurants and everything a tourist might seek. Many train lines within 5-10 minute walk.

This is a spacious room by Tokyo standards, with a big closet and plenty of space to unpack and settle in. The kitchenette and laundry right in the room make this a great base of operations for a multi-day visit to Tokyo. The location in Asakusa is great -- close to Senso-ji Temple, close to train stations, and a very walkable area with dozens (hundreds?) of shops, restaurants, and street food stalls. It's a little bit touristy but also feels authentically local. There are as many Japanese tourists here as there are international ones. For extra fun, go to one of the many kimono rental shops and get dressed up to walk around the neighborhood. This is a popular pastime for natives and foreigners alike! This location is pretty convenient for traveling to other parts of Tokyo, and it's fun to come back to a vibrant neighborhood at the end of your touring day to grab a drink, a taiyaki or some ice cream before you call it quits for the night. The front desk staff are cordial and efficient, and they do speak English (at least plenty well enough to transact hotel business). I needed to have something sent to the hotel ahead of our check-in, and they were very helpful in accommodating that. If you should have a similar need, just note that the letter or package should include your name and also your check-in date.

The hotel room was very comfortable and had a great view over Senso-Ji temple and Skytree Tower. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and when it couldn't be fixed that day, the staff arranged us to move to another room. The new room was very spacious for Tokyo and we appreciated their efforts to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is in a great location with lots of transport close by and endless restaurants to choose from. While breakfast isn't provided, the hotel provides a list of recommended places to have breakfast. We tried a few and they were all great.

Everything about this hotel was incredible! The staff were all so welcoming, we got there very early as we traveled from Tokyo and they allowed us to store our luggage until the afternoon. Our room was so comfortable, spacious, and the bathroom/shower room was immaculate. Perfect comfy bed, lighting, amenities, just loved every single thing. There was complimentary water and fresh coffee available everyday too. The optional breakfast buffet was the best food selection EVER. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at the newly opened Hyatt Place Kyoto. 1. Perfect Location – The hotel is in a quiet area with a supermarket and convenience store right next door. Plus, there’s a subway station nearby, making it super easy to get around. 2. Comfortable & Thoughtful Design – The room was compact but well-designed. The lobby has a Nespresso machine, there’s a laundry room, and even a microwave available. 3. Tasty Breakfast – has everything you need, and the food was good. What made our stay extra special was the amazing staff—so friendly and helpful! They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants. A special thanks to Mr. Park and IMATA for their kindness and attention to detail. For the price, this hotel is unbeatable. We’ll definitely stay here again next time

Our stay was much better than we expected. We anticipated just eggs and bacon for breakfast, similar to the usual offerings at U.S. Hyatt Place hotels, but it turned out to be a full breakfast buffet featuring both Western and Japanese cuisine. The room was very quiet and clean, and the maid ensured our room was spotless. My family also appreciated having a microwave available in the lobby. The subway station is conveniently located right below the hotel, with the entrance just outside the hotel entrance. I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto several times, but this is my first time at Hyatt Place Kyoto. While the Regency is an excellent hotel, I found that Hyatt Place Kyoto met all of my family's needs. The biggest advantages for us were the convenient subway access, as the Regency only provides taxi and bus services. The breakfast was great, and having a microwave to heat up meals was an added bonus. We also preferred the bathrooms at Hyatt Place Kyoto, as they offer more privacy compared to those at the Regency. Thank you for the excellent service from all staffs.

The hotel could not be more convenient even if it tried. 1. Location - Dozens of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk, at least 3 convenience stores, 2 coin laundries a Mcdonalds etc. The metro station is quite literally just outside the entrance to the hotel and is in fact connected to it. The palace and botanical gardens are a 15 minute walk away, the Nishiki market is about 20 minutes. 2. Facilities - Small but functional gym, coin laundry within the premises, lobby with comfortable seating, free nespresso coffee and a microwave for guests to use. The hotel also allowed guests to use the lobby seats to consume food/drinks purchased from outside. Rooms, though small were smartly built, were comfortable and absolutely quiet. 3. Staff - Pleasant and helpful. Whatever requests we made were promptly attended to. They also arranged for transfer of our luggage to the next hotel. We just had to handover the bag and fill up some details on an online form. The rest was taken care of by the staff. Process took two minutes.

It was easy to access directly from Subway Exit #6. If you are carrying luggage I suggest using exit #5 where the elevator is located. You only have to cross the street and go a little down the block to reach the hotel. It is a very nice setting with friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean and well stocked. Laundry facilities are available and well used so plan your laundry so you can catch an empty machine. 😂 Breakfast is a buffet and has several options but it would be nice to see some variety with changes during the week on some of the main options. Additionally, it would be nice if the restaurant offered some options other than breakfast only. For our needs/sightseeing adventures it was the perfect location for access to transportation. Walking distance to two amazing sights but also the access to the subway and major bus routes a block or so away. We would happily rebook this hotel for future stays!

The Gate Hotel Tokyo by Hulic offers a wonderfully convenient location in the heart of Ginza, surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. We particularly enjoyed the daily afternoon glass of champagne and snack in the lobby bar, accompanied by relaxing classical music — a lovely touch that made our stay feel even more special. The hotel’s restaurant was charming; while we only experienced it for breakfast, the food was fresh and satisfying, albeit with a modest variety. Our room was very comfortable, well-appointed, and even featured a beer vending machine just outside our door — a fun and unique detail. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with excellent comfort and an unbeatable location.

This is an amazing hotel in every way. The location - by several train stations and Ginza - is superb. The rooms are very spacious, clean, modern, with very comfortable beds and pajamas. It’s shockingly quiet which makes for a peaceful oasis. The breakfast is diverse and excellent. The staff are outstandingly helpful and attentive. Five stars all the way!

This is the second time I have being lucky enough to stay in this lovely hotel in just over a year, and it was just as good as last time. Location is excellent, a modern hotel with a more business like feel, which is perfect for me. Everything about the hotels is efficient and professional. All the staff are courteous and helpful at all times. For my 2 week stay we dined for breakfast every day and also had 2 evening meals, everything was fresh, delicious and cooked well by the chef and his team who always appreciate you greeting them and thanking them. Housekeeping, as with last year, is excellent. Every day everything is replenished, I never had to ask for anything. Prior to arrival, the reservation team was very helpful and accommodating. I travel today to their sister hotel in Kyoto. I hope I have a similar experience. Many thanks to everyone who made my visit so enjoyable

The lobby and bar area is really beautiful and a lovely place to sit and enjoy the city views. The room itself was also a lovely design and layout, very comfortable beds, spacious for luggage, and nice views down on to the street below to watch Tokyo life. Breakfast was great with some lovely cooked options and additional buffet. The staff were outstanding - so polite, friendly and accommodating. Good location, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants nearby.

Such a lovely hotel; almost boutique which is a refreshing change for Tokyo. Brilliant location as Ginza linked to all areas of Tokyo with ease. Super, light lobby on 4th floor. Very comfortable rooms, some with great views in to Ginza. Range of rooms available to suit budget but popular hotel so need to book well in advance. Reception staff really helpful. Limited services - no room service, no snacks available during day after breakfast, although beverages possible in the lobby/reception area. But two restaurants and a great bar with expert cocktail bar staff. Attention to detail excellent. One of the best Manhattans I have had! Stylish hotel, welcoming hotel which I will definitely stay in again.

Every thing was luxurious here. Room was large and comfortable. Shower has perfect temperature and the rain shower head is so good. Amenities include glass bottles of mineral water and coffee and pajamas. It’s a block from the bus stop that takes you straight to Nara. Would definitely stay here again if I plan on going to feed the deers.

We loved everything about this hotel! It was like a 5-star hotel. The facilities - spa, gym, open sitting areas - are wonderful. I used the laundry facility and it was clean and well priced. The breakfast buffet was delicious and even included champagne! The rooms are elegant and have everything needed for your stay and the mattresses/pillows are very comfortable. There is a mall at walking distance and buses run from a block away from the hotel to many places including the bus station.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! The thoughtful room design, the interior in general and modern, calming , clean and fresh! I would like to especially mention whoever the head chef is at the hotel restaurant doing the Italian food! I have been to Italy many times and I rate this food 10/10! the mushroom gnocchi !! the pizza! omg outstanding!!!

Excellent service, best hotel on our two week trip in Japan (Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto & Nara). Best breakfast too and buffet type dinner was superb. Nice extra was those two (free!) massage chairs. Room was nice, rather large and quiet and bathroom was clean.

I wish I could stay in this hotel every night of my trip to Japan. Rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. Bed was comfortable and the amenities were spectacular. Dinner buffet was delicious. Short 10 minute walk to the train station.

The (two person) room was so spacious with a tv, sofa, table, large desk, and very comfortable beds. There was even a bench just by the door to put your shoes on and/or leave your stuff. Everything was very spacious, actually, from the lobby/art gallery to the bar/restaurant with lots of tables where you can just hang out whenever. There's a convenient laundromat, vending machines, and ice machine right by the elevators. The breakfast was very nice with lots of options and sandwiches of the day. The staff were super cute and friendly.

I loved my stay at Hotel Anteroom Kyoto. It’s a small but beautifully designed hotel: every detail feels carefully thought out. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and spoke excellent English, which made everything very easy. Service was flawless. The bar is a real gem, great atmosphere and an impressive selection of cocktails (definitely worth spending an evening there!). The breakfast is on the smaller side, but everything was delicious, so that didn’t bother me at all. My room was perfectly done, so well designed that I’m actually taking inspiration for my own home! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Kyoto.

The food! Breakfast was delightful and very homemade with a daily sandwich each morning, then your choice from vegetables, soup, pickles, salad, juices, teas, coffee, pastries, breads, granola, yoghurt, homemade jams and fruit smoothies. All you can eat - and it set us up for the day ahead. There is also a bar area that also serves one daily special in the evening if you’re not going out. Large welcoming reception area with local art, help-yourself amenities and friendly helpful staff. The bathroom pod was clean and effective and you could have the room refreshed any day you wish.

The single room at the hotel has large spacious rooms with a perfect layout! The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. Other perks include reliable free wifi, luggage storage and free rental bike service (2 hours). There’s other areas in the hotel like the lounge, bar, art exhibits that allow guests to roam freely outside of their room. Breakfast buffet was good. The location of the hotel is 5 min away from several bus and subway stops. Overall a really good hotel in a quiet part of the city. Superb value!

We loved this little gem despite the tiny room. The vibe was so friendly, and warm. The reception staff were so kind and generous. They helped us with a few words of Japanese too! For us the location was perfect - south of the station rather than north where all the 'action' is. It felt like living in Kyoto like a local. The restaurants the hotel recommended were carefully chosen and excellent. We had dinner at 3 within a few minutes walk. All were amazing especially the Ramen one! Bed was very comfortable, the room spotlessly clean.

The hotel is very nice, with very nice rooms, the bed were comfortable, spotless clean, good size rooms. The staff were super friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was good with a few options of eggs, fruits, yogurt and Asian breakfast style, cover all groups of tourists. The location is the best, the lower part of Ginza is the best and you have literally everything you need at your doorstep.

Stayed 3 nights in Deluxe twin corner. Outstanding view of main ginza street! Never get bored every day and night! Great design, love the hallway entrance, en suite bathroom with Byredo Bal da’frique essence! So nice! This type of room was spacious in term of Tokyo standard. Amazing staff, Mr. Alonso, easy check in and out. Also they helped us to arrange luggage transport services to other hotel. Location is perfect, konbini just around the corner, coffee shop (called costa coffee) is a must try! Many food options nearby. Subway highasi ginza just in front of door step, ginza station only 2 mins walk. Definitely gonna comeback. Thank you Millennium Mitsui Garden Ginza!

Amazing location in Ginza. Walking distance to all shopping areas in ginza. Beautiful hotel lobby, rooms are quiet, clean and have a up scale feel to it. Highly recommend the all you can eat breakfast buffet which has a combination of fresh fish, Chinese and Japanese hot dishes and western dishes with a unique Japanese twist to them.

Location is exceptional in terms of shopping, dining and metro transportation. Hotel looks new and refreshing. The room is clean with very practical layout. The breakfast area is very pleasant and the breakfast itself is really good quality! Furthermore, room cleaning service is very clean and efficient. I would like to extend my appreciation to Ms Akatsuka for ensuring that the administrative aspect of my stay and arrangement of my transport to the airport (departure from Tokyo) were all flawless and efficiently managed.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations, especially considering the price. The rooms were far more spacious than anticipated, beautifully decorated with a touch of color and personality—offering a refreshing contrast to the standard modern, neutral-toned designs found in many hotels. The hotel also provided a comfortable seating area for guests waiting to check in, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptional—friendly, accommodating, and fluent in English. They went above and beyond to assist us, even bringing ice to our room late at night, free of charge, which we truly appreciated. The bathrooms were sleek, modern, and spotlessly clean, contributing to an overall sense of comfort and luxury. The air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable temperature throughout our stay, and the adjustable lighting options allowed us to create the perfect ambiance. The in-room TV functioned seamlessly, and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to connect to our Netflix account with ease. Housekeeping was also excellent, providing fresh towels daily. Given the affordability, we expected much less but instead received a stay that far surpassed our expectations. This hotel is a genuine hidden gem, offering outstanding value without compromising on quality or service. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional stay at a reasonable price.

Modern hotel nested in a quiet area. Kyoto station and shopping mall only 10min walk. First floor had a posh lobby with restaurant that offered great breakfast buffet and dinner options. Staff were super friendly and spoke perfect English. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and had good toiletries. The only down side was the lack of an onsite laundry, there is a laundromat 5mins walk but can’t say it’s the cleanest.

Amazing clean modern space, rooms were perfect size and cosy! Bathrooms were modern and immaculate, bed was very comfortable. Close enough to the Main station for making travelling easy and also close to the restaurants and Kyoto tower. Definitely an amazing stay and perfect place to come back to after a big day. Still mesmerized by our stay in Mercure Kyoto. Traveling with family (13 people) in a trip organized by myself , took advantage of my ALL plus membership and we were treated to stay in the 10 floor that included among other things , free snacks and drinks in the lounge between 2:30 and 5. Hotel is not very big and has a restaurant that is used for breakfast but also serves dinner Italian style. Rooms are tastefully decorated and include a nespresso coffee machine ( at least the ones in the 10th floor) . Breakfast has a very good choice of western / Japanese food. During our stay although busy it wasn’t awfully crowded. Amazing choice of toiletries in the bathroom and very nice shower including rain shower and different kind of pressures There is a library / lounge to relax in the basement, again, super tastefully decorated. Location about 19 minutes from Kyoto train station. Beds were very comfy and we booked one with sofa bed for the kids to sleep with us. If in Kyoto again I would not look anywhere else.

This hotel was a bit hard to initially find, the direction map we printed out beforehand wasn't exactly very accurate...which has nothing to do with this hotel. Eventually found the entrance in a little back street and was somewhat apprehensive. Walked into the lobby area and immediately impressed by its quirkiness. Room was very modern and upmarket, looked very recently renovated. Bed super comfy and bathroom very nice indeed. Loved everything about this quirky hotel, good breakfast and restaurant/bar....staff were great and very helpful. Would be very happy to stay here next time in Kyoto....definitely recommend it.

This is definitely a recommended hotel in Osaka. The rooms are relatively larger than the average in Japan and equipped with the expected amenities. The staff were very accommodating. After checking-in, we forgot on the counter at the front desk a small plastic bag with thousands of Yens. The amazing staff who checked us in was fun to chat with and he also returned to us the lost money when we arrived later back to the hotel. I forgot the guy's name, but he is really a star. He was very chatty and gave recommendations. I loved it! The breakfast was delicious. I don't eat pork and there were some items every morning which contained pork, hence limited my options. Nevertheless, there was enough to choose from. The salad bar is probably the best feature of the breakfast. Plenty of fresh ingredients. I ended up eating a healthy "mountain" of salad every day. The only thing that I feel they can improve is the internet connection. I was using it a lot and several times the internet lost connection or the signal went low and I had to switch to my phone's data to continue browsing. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

The hotel looks new, the room is comfortable and very clean, but small as expected in Japan. We were in a room with three single beds and there was little space to open our suitcases, however the room met our needs very well. The air conditioning worked very well, the amenities in the lobby were excellent, and the staff was very helpful. The location is excellent, 4 minutes from one subway station and 8 minutes from another, and close kombinis. Good options for western breakfast with 4 to 5 varieties of bread, yogurt, fruits, cold cuts, good coffee moreover all the variety of Eastern breakfast. We could use the laudry service which as good despite of waiting time to get available machine.

The hotel is conveniently located near all major attractions and offers easy access to Kyoto by train. Although it’s in the middle of downtown, it’s surprisingly quiet and very clean. The room was comfortable and spotless. It was a perfect stay, and I will definitely come back next time I visit Osaka.

The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection. The rooms were clean, spacious, and airy, with comfortable beds and effective air-conditioning. The bathtub was a good size, and I really appreciated being able to pick out the toiletries I needed from the reception. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Everything was great. The room was pretty big, comfortable, and clean. The AC was quiet. The breakfast buffet was very good and not too crowded. The hotel is very close to 2 metro stations and right next to Starbucks and a rose garden.

We stayed in this hotel from 28 May - 2 Jun 23. The hotel is clean, spacious and very accessible. It’s just a 4-min walk from the Sapporo station. There’s lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance and not to mention the places of interests and shopping malls. The breakfast was really good despite not having lots of varieties. We enjoyed the crepes and in particular the hot chocolate. Kudos to the front desk staff who were ever helpful and did not get tired of our questions, no matter how trivial they were. Would like to give a special shout-out to Chiharu Yatsumonji San who assisted us with our room aircon. She was extremely courteous and helpful and even told us to go to her if we need any help. Her excellent customer service really warmed our hearts and it’s also a plus for us as she spoke fluent English. With the accessible location, good breakfast, excellent customer service and the reasonable price, we will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Sapporo again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. It’s location was perfect, making it easy to get around. The room was clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the onsen and lounge facilities, which were well-maintained. However, the quality of the amenities provided in the lobby could be improved.

Big rooms for Japan, lots of options at breakfast (western and Japanese), fridge in room. Could cast to TV from computer. Snack time from 3-7 with Japanese candies and chips and access to coffee machines/soda machines. Public bath was simple but nice, often crowded. Overall safe and clean, quiet, and comfortable.

A fantastic hotel very close to Sapporo station and multiple convenience stores for your needs. Very clean, modern, polite and friendly staff that make your stay nice and comfortable. The bath areas are a nice touch, hopefully in future the tattoo policy in bathing area is revised, its 2025 and lots of tourists have tattoos. Helpful having a washer/drier, but it would be really great if they could get a few more machines as there is only one in the mens and one in the womens, at times there was a queue of 3 people wanting to use the machine and a wash/dry cycle takes 2 hours (also leaves the clothes damp so be prepared to hang them after in your room) Rooms are fairly compact as usual in japanese hotels. I wasnt able to figure out a way to stream to the tv in the room or use netflix, but not a big problem.

The hotel was great! Very modern and clean. Location is very calm and convenient. You can move around easily by train from the Suidobashi station which is located right next to the hotel. Moving around with the train is not so expensive, for example compared to the EU. Room was spacious and big enough for 3 people for 3 nights. Complimentary was waiting for us in the minibar which was very nice. Even though tap water was drinkable personally i don’t prefer doing that anywhere else than in my home country😅. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about! If we had any questions we got an answer right away. Check-in was smoothly made on a machine (the receptionist helped us out on spot.) There is a very good Ramen restaurant right next to the hotel which i can highly recommend. A 7-eleven (small grocery store) and McDonalds are also located right behind the corner. Tokyo Dome (big shopping centre and restaurant food garden) is within walking distance, can highly recommend that for great food and shopping. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so i can’t comment on that, but it surely looked like a casual buffet. Thank you! Br, Christian

I recently stayed at the SUIDOBASHI - Tokyo hotel, and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel's location next to the Tokyo Dome was incredibly convenient, especially since I attended a baseball game at the stadium. It was just a few minutes' walk from the main gates, which made getting to and from the game a breeze. The hotel itself was very clean, and the bed and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. We stayed here our first night in Japan and thought it was a comfortable and clean hotel for the money. The rooms were spacious enough to open our suitcases and store them under the bed. The free drink was a nice perk and the breakfast was tasty. It isn't in a location we would choose again as it is far from the airport and major areas, but it was a comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service was excellent from start to finish—every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We booked a high floor King Suite with club access, and it was well worth it. The room had a great view of the city, was spacious, very clean, and perfect for our family. The hotel even prepared the sofa bed and added an extra bed, which was very comfortable. The club access was a great perk—kids were welcome in the lounge, and we enjoyed delicious complimentary breakfasts and cocktail hour with tasty tapas. We also had access to the main hotel breakfast (included in the room) which had a wide variety and was delicious. The hotel’s location was very good- just a few stops (with direct train) from both Shibuya and Akihabara. Overall, a wonderful experience with top-notch service and comfort. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

The hotel was first class from check in to check out. We stayed in a club room on the 33 floor. The hotel is about 25 minutes from Haneda airport. We had a seamless check in on the 35 floor. The room was very nice, not large but comfortable. The bathroom has glass walls but when you enter it the walls fog up. Clever. So you get privacy. Not a lot of storage. That was an issue. Large hotel Great breakfast buffet. We had the weekend package so breakfast was included. Highly recommend. We are dinner 2x in the main floor restaurant and it was lovely. The restaurant staff is truly great. Near two Subway's about a 8 minute walk. Some stairs going in to the subway. The room service and cleaning of the room was good. Some language issues but overall very good. Concierge was helpful too. Highly recommend. Club room is lacking daytime snacks and food. Good service but variety of offers could be better. Dinner options were good. They do serve breakfast but we went to the buffet. Drinks are readily available.

The room was beautiful, modern, and extremely clean, with stunning views of Tokyo Tower and the nearby skyscrapers. The Club Lounge was a major highlight — calm atmosphere, great selection, and everything was complimentary throughout the day. The bath products from THANN were also excellent — I actually plan to purchase them for home use. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The team outside the hotel, who helped with taxis and luggage, left a particularly great impression. The location is also very convenient, with a metro station just 2 minutes away. And of course, as expected in Japan, I felt completely safe at all times. Although pretty expensive, the Teppanyaki restaurant on the 36th floor is definitely worth visiting — great food, great service, and an amazing view.

WiFi around the hotel is good. numerous restaurants within a short distance. the buffet breakfast on level 2 is exceptional with something for everyone. the French style coffee shop is great for sandwiches and salads if you are on a tour. I stayed at this hotel for four nights and found the location very convenient. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bedding was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The front desk staff were welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely return.

Location near train station is very handy. Many others in Gora are up a VERY steep hill from the eki, and there are not many services, so included meals are a big plus. The property itself is excellent. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Our room with the open air onsen and mountain view was wonderful. We soaked twice a day in a very private deck bath. Very spacious by any standard with bedroom that had mountain views and separate living area with same views. The lobby bar with foot soaking well is insane. Just about everyone put on the yukattas for evening. The included meals were amazing multi-course for dinner and ridiculous breakfast array. No buffet here! Definitely recommend Tensui Saryo.

The property is located within 5mins walk from the Gora station. It was clean and comfortable to stay in. Booked the traditional room with open air onsen, facing the mountain. So the view was good , air was fresh. We also booked the dinner and breakfast. Dinner was good but breakfast choices are limited. So my elderly and child were not really used to the traditional kaiseki. There are 2 facilities which is open for guests to booked. The bedrock bath was interesting and is very relaxing. They also give complimentary drink with footbath at their lounge area. Which is a plus point to relax our tired feet after a long day of walking Staff are friendly and helpful as well. We had a great stay at Tensui Saryo during Hakone visit. It is very conveniently located near the train station from Hakone-Yumoto and the cable car that leads up to the Owakudani sulfur vents. Our room was beautiful and the mountain view - though somewhat cloudy - was as well. The futons in our room were warm and soft but I did wake up a bit stiff (just gaijin issues). We had an outdoor hot spring-fed bath on the patio which was very luxurious. The sulfur is filtered out so the water doesn't smell at all. The included breakfast was very good and the staff graciously accommodated my request for vegetarian food. It is an authentic Japanese style breakfast with many small dishes. Given the price I do wish that dinner was also included. There are several restaurants nearby but strangely many were either closing when we got there or didn't open until later. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Do note that though the reservation includes 1 free drink at the bar per person it only applies to the menu offered. It wasn't entirely clear so when we ordered cocktails we ended up paying extra. They do offer free snacks and drinks when you arrive, which is nice. Overall a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

Location - ignore google maps, this ryokan is a 2 minute walk from gora station, just take the underpass instead of following google maps's directions of going around the station. Facility - amazing bar with foot bath. Our family had two rooms, one with a private natural spring water onsen and one with a tap water onsen (for the kids). Both rooms were amazing, spacious, and comfortable. Shower in one of the rooms was on the small side, but it was somewhere you can walk out onto the onsen deck directly from the shower. Room amenities were top notch. Our room had a beautiful tea set, coffee, fridge stocked with water, juice, and some alcohol seltzer type drinks. Bathroom had a face steamer. The foot bath and onsen on the deck were amazing as well. Absolutely no complaints on the facility and room. Food - Admittedly we don't have a very sophisticated palette. The set meal here was beautifully presented and prepared. It had, I believe, a lot of very traditional japanese foods and was very heavy on the seafood. I can't remember the meal set we purchased, but best you double check with the ryokan what is in the set meal if you're not a big seafood eater. Everything was great, just fancier than we're accustomed to, but that's not a fault of the ryokans!

I had an unforgettable experience in Tensui Saryo! The room was amazingly spacious, had really nice amenities, among which a few different types of coffee beans and all the necessary tools to brew some nice coffee. The private onsen on the balcony was just the right amount of hot and the view to the mountais was stunning! Definitely recommend trying out the breakfast for the cultural experience (and it was filling too). Staff was very friendly and helpful - I felt welcomed and appreciated. Had no issues communicating in basic japanese and english. Finally, hotel is located 5 min (maybe even less) to the start of the Hakone sightseeing loop - extremely convenient for starting the route as early as possible.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The room was not huge but very comfortable beds and very quiet. The location is very central, close to restaurants and street food stalls. Subway and bus stops are nearby. We loved the onsen facilities and the delicious breakfast buffet. The staff members were super friendly and helpful.

Love everything in this hotel. Staff are quick to address any concerns and issues (extra pillow, extra towel, SDB code not working) Check in and check out is very easy and convenient. Breakfast has good selection and is affordable. Location is very accessible to train station, easy to locate for taxi. Shopping and eating within the area is also very convenient. Drugstores, Dongki, Convenience store are within 5 minutes walk. Ichiran is located 1-2 blocks away. Onsen is clean and convenient. There is ice cream on the same floor. Vending machines for drinks and ice are available as well. Coin operated laundry is very convenenient for family who need to. do laundry. Love that we get to choose toiletries at the lobby. Love their Shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well

Booked this based on reviews and were not disappointed. Arrived by hire car (acquired via info counter at airport) a little late, found out that they parked the car - just drive to main entrance & they will unloaded luggage and take your car to be parked up. Room spacious and clean - upgraded to include own small infinity pool. Most of the resort restaurants are pricey - but minibus available to ferry to and from. We tried the sushi place which good value at 4500¥ per head for medium set meal without drinks. Other nights we ate elsewhere before returning to resort. Minor problem at check out using European credit card - once they realised it was chip & PIN transaction completed. Buffet breakfast excellent with Asian & Western options. Would definitely return at some point when in Miyako. Recommended.

It was AMAZING! Loved this hotel so much! Like, they do these shuttle runs to drop us off at each local restaurant etc, and we had unfortunately missed the last bus... So, the restaurant rang up our hotel and they came and picked us up in the car... For FREE! How good is that?! And that is only the third time they've done that for us. The first two happened when we were at the beach and again we missed the last bus, so they drove us back in a golf caddy. Best hotel. Highly recommended. Great service and so helpful. We will definiely come back in the near future.

Stayed early November for 3 nights at an awesomely fancy and beautiful pool villa royal suite. Staff was the most helpful I've ever met (even after 10 years living in Japan!), many fun activities available, and the private golf cart provided with the villa allows to go to the beach and most of restaurants on the resort within 5 minutes, but also enjoy super fun ride by the ocean. Also important to note that the weather in Miyako in early November is really pleasant, around 24~29 degrees.
