Mandatory amenity fees are unfair when you stay over the weekend amd can't take advantage of them. Jacuzzi water was extremely hot. No one could get in. Parking late night can be challenging. Very clean and beautiful.

The room was spacious and we got an ocean room so that was nice to wake up to sunrise. There's a beach a walk away which I enjoyed and a bar onsite. Pool and jacuzzi were nice and I'd say this hotel was in the middle of Kauai making it the perfect place to stay and enjoy both sides! Beds were comfy and I slept fine, room service towels and everything else were great! Breakfast on site was also good!

I loved my stay!! Everything about it was just amazing!!! I would go back in a heartbeat and stay at this resort! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our room was always clean and comfortable. The hotel's open-air concept just captures the Hawaiian spirit and it was breathtaking. Some say it is dated, but I say it is incredible! The hotel and staff exceeded all of my expectations. We were minutes from being on the beach. You could not ask for a better location on the island. My husband and I walked on the beach every night after our daily adventures. Mamahune's Tiki Bar was a perfect way to unwind as well!!. Yes, the food was expensive but it was not just the hotel. It was just expensive everywhere. I would 100% recommend this hotel if you are visiting the island for its beauty and culture.

My husband and I 100% recommend this resort for Kauai! It’s perfectly located to wear you can get pretty much anywhere on the island in under 40 minutes (many of the towns were within 15/20 minutes of the hotel). The staff was excellent, made us feel like we were staying with family. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, gave us great local recommendations. The room was very clean and was spacious. Having the two pools was really nice as well as the little swimming area by the beach on property. Most of the beaches in Kauai the waves are too strong to swim but the spot on the hotel property was perfect. Restaurant on site was delicious too. VERY REASONABLE PRICE FOR A NICE PLACE!!!! We didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg on our room rate or parking to stay here and still have a high quality stay. We loved this hotel WAY MORE than the “fancy resort” we stayed at on Oahu. If we come back to Kauai we would stay here again, highly reccomended to all.

Before booking our first Kaua’i island trip I did a lot of research. Talk about a perfect location! Do not let the reviews about the rooms and grounds make you change from staying here. We had an amazing stay. Rooms we clean, the staff/people were wonderful, the tiki bar was so convenient and had yummy Mai Tai’s. The views and pools are great as well! Our favorite thing about our stay had to be Curt at the front desk and lobby. You talk about a funny guy and extremely helpful for any question, joke, or guidance you may need for the island. He made our trip so fun and we would look for him any chance we could just to talk to him! He will be your new BFF for sure, we promise!! Thank you, Curt! We will be back to visit for sure!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was convenient to have a restaurant on site that was right on the beach. Room was clean and comfortable. Jacuzzi was great.

Great hotel! Great location, right on the beach, and Lava Lava Beach Club is right there, for any and all meals. Very friendly staff, and lots of little perks; free valet parking, wrist band room keys, a darling driftwood swing, beach chairs and picnic tables for your convenience, and yoga on the beach! Cute, beachy themed rooms, upgraded nicely, steps from the pool and jacuzzi. Great for families or couples. We had a wonderful time!

Outstanding,vibrant, relaxed, fun vintage vibe here with all the conveniences, and a staff that has exceptional, friendly customer service skills. I normally stay at a much larger more expensive hotel, or local Vrbo, however, I saw the rating was exceptional and I had been to the on-site restaurant lava lava to eat previously & had loved the vibe then so I thought I would try it out. I’ll be back over & over! The value is amazing here, as well as the beach location, central island location, room, views, amenities & perks. There are so many hidden perks here! Free Valet parking, free bikes, endless free vintage Photo Booth pics, nightly live music that’s easy on the ears, great restaurant, clean pools & jacuzzi, outdoor games, ocean front swing, 5 min walk to the south is a picturesque cove as if out of a movie scene, very nice 8 mile bike, running, walking trail along the ocean, 5 min bike ride to Kauai Juice! Lovely open air lobby with fun seating, board games, computer area. Free yoga & 30 min to goat yoga in Anahola! Multiple fire pits, outdoor games like bags. Lava Lava restaurant is literally beach side. 5 min to Longs Drugs for anything you need & 20 min to the airport! This is an incredible place for families, but also I saw many young loves here & I could see myself enjoying a single vacay here as well. Thank you to all of the staff here, they clearly work together as a team in your best interest for the best vacation ever.

We had an amazing stay at Kauai Shores in January/February. The reception, maintenance, valet and housekeeping staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is perfectly situated by the beach, shopping and restaurants. We loved being able to sit at one of the many available beach loungers every morning to watch the sunrise and the surf. We saw whales breaching on our very first morning so it was a great start to our stay! The pool was always clean and tidy with various options for lounging. There are two fire tables for cozy evening socializing near to the Lava Lava Beach club, where the food and service were always great. It was a treat to have breakfast on the beach by the waves. We enjoyed the various musical performers there as well during the afternoons and evenings. There are many shops located right next door at the Coconut Market, as well as several dining options for coffee shops, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was on the ground floor with a lovely lanai looking at the garden and pool area. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy. Linens and towels were clean and plentiful. The air conditioner was helpful in keeping our room at a comfortable temperature, whether it was a cooler day or a warmer one. We took advantage of the free bike rentals for an afternoon and had a fantastic scenic ride down the coastal path that runs beside the hotel. Overall an excellent stay and would highly recommend the Kauai Shores Hotel!

This is an older establishment but maintained well. It is close to the Lihue airport so convenient. Staff are hospitable and friendly. The views of the mountains from the property are wonderful. Bed & room were very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. The in-unit AC cooled the room nicely. Bathtub cold be recoated but worked fine. Linens smelled good. The breakfast buffet is a very good continental one- complete with Chobani yogurt, croissants, & whole pieces of local fruits. Peacocks, roosters, & cats roam around the property, which was fun :) Very comfortable stay!

Aloha. Yes the Kauai inn is a very historically old property and the rooms could use an update remodel but are spotless with a good foam mattress and all in perfect working condition. I understand a few rooms have been remodeled. I suggest that you request a room on first floor with a patio out the back. Only a few buildings have patios. Wonderful thick beach towels and even a new beach chair was available to borrow. It is very quiet in an area on a less travelled road to get to but only 10 minutes to reach major shopping, restaurants and airport in the shadow of a big mountain. Compare free parking, a light continental breakfast and lovely uncrowded small pool area to the much more expensive, large crowded hotels. here you can enjoy a real vacation with 1 minute walk over to the canoe club grounds with quiet waters near the harbor. I had the pool area all to myself one late morning in a fully booked hotel while others went site seeing. A perfect location to venture from to reach South Kauai beaches and sites or to North Kauai. I totally recommend and I will be back on my next Trip to Kauai. Mahalo

Our stay at the Kauai Inn was truly a highlight of our trip to Kauai! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff and the owner, who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly—no stuffiness here, just genuine aloha spirit. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, with everything we needed for a restful stay. The grounds are beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful place to unwind after a day of exploring. We loved the pool area and the thoughtful touches throughout the property. Breakfast each morning was a treat, with a great continental spread to start the day. We also enjoyed the live music and movie nights—such a fun bonus that brought guests together. The location is perfect: close to everything in Lihue, yet tucked away enough to feel like a retreat. Best of all, the Kauai Inn is affordable, making it an excellent value for the quality and experience. We can’t recommend this place enough and look forward to returning! Mahalo to everyone at the Kauai Inn for making our stay so memorable.

Highly recommend staying here ~ A smaller, local hotel with perfect charms and comfort. Staff was superb, offering guests a quiet, peaceful “Aloha” always vibe of the island. A spectacular start to each day, a fresh aloha flower at complementary breakfast, soft Hawaiian music to open and close each day. Room was clean, quiet, hot showers, super comfortable bed and linens. Free beach amenities available. The hotel, overlooking the Ha’upu mountain range, was a great location to venture off south, west, east or north on the island. Live, easy music closing out the evening a few times a week. A genuine Aloha time!

We had such a super amazing time at the Kauai Inn! The slight detour do to an uncrossable bridge added to the adventure and the sights we might not have seen otherwise. Chris and his team were so friendly and welcoming! We arrived to live music on the patio. The breakfast buffet and 24-hour coffee was perfection. We so enjoyed the pool. They even brought out floats for us to use. The rooms are spacious and comfy. And the bath towels were amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Please remember the following description of our hotel experience: We had an oceanfront view from the second floor, facing the pool, and enjoyed some privacy thanks to the nearby trees. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's location was convenient for heading north, south, and to the west shore, and we had many activities scheduled. The hotel offers a fantastic sunrise view but could use nicer and more comfortable beach chairs. Although the beach in front of the hotel may not be the most beautiful, it was good enough for a morning or evening walk. There was plenty of parking available, and the pool was nice, clean, and had enough chairs. There was also a small fireplace where we could hang out after dinner. The breakfast was grab-and-go style, which was fine for us. Bonus is the yo Ga class at 7 AM, the instructor she is super sweet and great!

We love the relatively small size of the hotel. The ocean views are spectacular. Although it is convenient to the Coconut Marketplace and the shopping center across the street, the hotel is bordered by an open field and a canal on either side. The convenient and scenic walking path does not extend beachside of the hotel which prevents a constant parade of walkers and bikers in front of the hotel. The hotel is peaceful and private. The Bull Shed is attached to the hotel but the only noise from the restaurant is the lovely live music.The vibe at the ISO is laid back and mellow. This is our second time there and are eager to return. We also enjoy the yogurt, cereal and fresh pineapple for breakfast. It is perfect for us.The fire pit, chairs and picnic tables are spaced out nicely providing a relaxing place to view the ocean from.

It’s a small little hotel right on the beach. The views of the ocean are amazing. They have free continental breakfast and the pool is nice. Would be prefect if they had a hot tub. There is a restaurant onsite that opens for dinner. Food was good. There’s plenty of shopping nearby. Safeway is across the street and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is literally next to the hotel and the pool area is very pretty and well maintained. Nice lush greenery with nice palm trees. Can’t get over that view. Definitely a great choice when staying in Kauai. It’s also relatively close to the airport.

Our stay at ISO exceeded our expectations! We had a great room with a balcony facing the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable came with a bar fridge and coffee maker. They also provided complimentary continental breakfast, bikes are also available FREE of charge. While we were there they only had 4 bikes available so you had to get there at the right time. The day we left though they just got a bunch of new bikes. Wonderful restaurant on site, great pool and even a gas fireplace that is lit nightly. What a nice touch is that they even give each guest a reusable water bottle and they have free water cooler and ice machine to refill. Highly recommend this hotel!!!! We were even lucky to have a monk seal hang out on our beach for 3 days!!!!! Absolutely Love Kauai 💕💕💕

It had a beautiful view the pool was amazing the lobby was friendly and inviting. The breakfast grab and go was perfect. We all loved morning yoga!! The restaurant on site was a bit over priced but good. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Location, grounds, amenities, pool, jacuzzi, laundry, desk service was very helpful, door code locking was good. Overall the room was clean but needs updating, looks somewhat tired.

Beautiful grounds, very relaxing. Close to stores, ABC store and many restaurants Loved the balcony to listen to the birds and feel the cool ocean breeze and read. the pool and jacuzzi area was too small for the amount of people.. Shower drain was plugged, tub stained, old shower head, needs updating. They have a tv but not streaming or cable, you have to get 1 dvd at a time in the lobby. Only had 1 outlet to charge electronics. No elevator. Overall a great hotel.

The resort is very beautiful with the gardens, view of the sea and the pool / jacuzzi being open until around 9pm. There is a restaurant on the beach just 2 minutes walk along the sea. Although the sea in the east of the island is not recommended for swimming, there is a bay area with a sea pool just 5 minutes walk along the sea where you can swim. The location is good to explore the whole island being quite centrally located, so we never had too long a drive to get back after a day out. There's a large supermarket nearby where you can get your fix for breakfast (or other snack or food).

This is a hotel/condo complex right on the beach in Kapa'a. You cannot swim at this beach but there are beach chairs to enjoy the view. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. We had a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent air conditioner. We had a garden view room but you could see the ocean when you set on the Lanai. This is not a full service hotel and only has a bar by the pool which is not open every day. There is no restaurant but there is a shopping center just across the parking lot with coffee shops, restaurants and retail shops. The front desk closes at 11 pm so I'm not sure what you would do if you need something in the night. Our television stopped working the second day we were there and we called for help at 6:30 pm and all the maintenance workers had gone home so we had no TV that night. But I would definately stay here again if I was in the are.

This was a perfect property for my husband & I. The grounds are beautiful and just a few steps from a gorgeous beach with many lounge chairs (there were always some available anytime we went) We went to many snorkeling beaches including here! Clean pool/hot tub with more lounge chairs, some picnic tables and a bbq area as well as a small bar. Towel exchanges were easy. They have laundry facilities that are pay per load with quarters, but they supply soap if you need it. They have a card that you check out to use the laundry room, so it was only used by guests, but the hours were 8am to 8pm.That time framed worked for us. The room we used had a mini fridge, microwave, single kitchen sink and there were dishes provided. This made it nice to pick up some simple breakfast and lunch items so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. There's also a complimentary filtered water machine in the lobby(as well as many around the island) and a vending mchine with some snacks and drinks. This is the type of resort that does room cleaning every few days, not daily, but they let us know in advance what days that would be so we could plan to be out of the room. There are many walkable shops and restaurants, making it super convenient. We also loved the location as it was pretty central from the north shore or south shore. Check-in was super easy. We got there before 10 pm, so the front desk was still open, but if you're going to be later, they'll leave your keys wjth the security guard.

Small property we had missed on our previous trips to Kauai. Great location end of Kapaa town. Sweet jacuzzi watching the ocean waves. Great ocean view. We will return, actually stayed an extra night

We loved the family vibe and old charm and especially the ocean view, the wild chickens and the cat that chased them BUT the bed in our ground floor King Ocean View room was terrible. One side sloped down terribly and was very uncomfortable. Replace the mattress, and remodel the bathroom (tub has badly patched holes, perhaps from former jacuzzi, and toilet is so low that it was low for me at 5’ 2” and crazy for my husband at 6’ 4”. Year out the tub and retile just as a shower, replace shower fixtures and put in a new comfort height toilet and it will be 5 star rating. Staff recommendations for restaurants and the fresh banana bread were awesome.

Through a fluke of our own scheduling we ended up sampling each of their offered room types. We had the small (economy) room, the suite, and the beach view room. The small room is pretty small, but if you're just there to sleep it does the job just fine. The suite was quite nice, and the room with a view was also nice. The suite has the benefit of a separate room for living space. but the beachview in the other room is really nice. The place itself isn't in one of the swanky manicured areas you can find elsewhere on Kauai, but it's location is nothing to sneeze at. The front desk will loan you beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas that you can use on the lovely small beach just in front of the hotel. If you prefer to see the waves from an Adirondack chair, they have those too up on the lawn. We did a little of each. Also there is a terrific paved path for bikes and pedestrians. The path goes on for miles, and the front desk will loan out bikes for use on the path (very worth doing). Just across the street is a terrific breakfast spot which couldn't be more convenient. If you want to try other places to eat, those too are an easy walk down the road (or better yet, use the beach path). The staff were very friendly. The older folks at the desk were super friendly. While the younger lady was less friendly, she was plenty competent. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying there.

Building located on a gorgeous part of Kauai. Apx 8-9 miles from Lihue airport. Easy access by car or Uber. (Uber cost us $23.94 including tip). We stayed in a ground floor suit. Receptionists went above and beyond to let us feel comfortable. Room has everything you need for a comfortable stay: bed, bathroom and a terrace/balcony. Hotel provides beach chairs and towels along with other beach items. There is a BBQ to use on their terrace. There are free usage of sun cream if you forgot or water/food for pets, ice machine Coffee & tea in reception and in your room. The room also has microwave, small fridge, ice bucket, glasses inside tap with basin, TV, an armchair, floor lamp and some coffee table. On the terrace we had 2 chairs to enjoy sunrise which was incredible beautiful. There is free parking in their inside yard. Great-great place to stay, I couldn’t recommend it more!

We stayed for a week in an ocean view apartment. Whether or not you like this hotel will depend on a couple of things so here is the good and the bad. Good: location. It's in walking distance of Kapa'a and there is a nice walkway that spans quite a distance. The hotel has free bikes, a small pool, and and a small beach front. You can book a massage on the beach for extra. The view is lovely. Also, Kapa'a is fairly central to most of the island. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. There is a small walk up restaurant for breakfast at the hotel. The bad: The room was very adequate but the carpet had lots of water stains. There is a fridge but no kitchen so don't plan to cook here. There is a nice soaking tub but no grab bars. Very nice balcony though. You have to request housekeeping but they do a great job when requested. The traffic in front of the hotel is pretty busy, but parking was never a problem. Over all, we would stay again. Not an all-inclusive place by any means and not a resort feel. But a good place to stay if you plan to drive the island each day.

The Royal Sonesta is a nice resort property with multiple dining options, a wonderful pool and jacuzzi area, and local shopping within walking distance.

Awesome vacation in paradise at a beautiful resort! All staff were nice especially the valet attendants and the Kukui’s restaurant staff. We stayed in the Ha’upu Tower on the 19th floor and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was modern with a large walk in shower. The bed was so comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Loved having three restaurants on site (and sushi bar) as well as a grab and go breakfast bar. Sure the restaurant prices at the resort are high, but you’re at a resort on a tropical island, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. My husband and I frequently split meals as the portions were generous especially at Kukui’s for breakfast. Loved the BLTA sandwich with fries or side salad from the pool area. The pool was huge with plenty of room for everyone, including lounge chairs. Very nice restrooms available on both sides of the pool. On the cooler side, yet I’ve never found a heated pool on Hawaii. Loved renting a cabana, although a little pricey, it was so comfortable and added to the vacation vibe. Loved the gift shop. Beautiful items to buy as useful souvenirs and plenty of food options from chips, bread, sweets, nuts, lotions, candles, clothing, etc. For a week we were surrounded by beauty and are very grateful for the experience. Hopefully we can come back one day. Mahalo Nui Loa!

This was our second time staying at the Royal Sonesta. We returned for a second year because of the great time we had the year before. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All of the staff throughout the hotel are helpful and friendly. The amenities are what makes us want to come back, from the Koi feeding that the kids can participate in to the large pool that can accommodate so many guests without feeling crowded. The view of the beach adds to the overall experience. This year a luau was added to the festivities provided by the hotel and it was a good one. It focused on the history of the area through fire dancing so it was different than most shows and definitely more exciting. We enjoyed the newly remodeled restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed walking to Dukes restaurant for dinner. The hotel is conveniently located especially to the airport. We hope to make this our yearly family vacation.

What’s not to love about this property? Bed was great, beautiful views (we had an ocean view room), location is perfect - being close to the airport was actually nice because we got to the hotel in 10 minutes but plane noise wasn’t an annoyance since not many planes come in to or out of LIH. The setting by the beach on Kalapaki Bay is amazing too. The one thing we did not expect was the quality of the food onsite and nearby. We were only here 3 nights but enjoyed the poolside restaurant for breakfast every day and LOVED it. Also dinner one night. It’s untouched for food quality and taste for many hotel restaurants, not only ones that also serve as the pool and beachside bar. Enough raving - we loved the resort. Totally exceeded our expectations.

We had a fantastic experience staying at The Royal Sonesta Resort in Kauai. The resort was beautiful and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The restaurants on-site were excellent—great variety and quality, and the service was consistently friendly. The pool area was a highlight—spacious, clean, and perfect for lounging. The beach was lovely and easy to access, and the location of the resort made it really convenient to explore the rest of the island. One of the standout parts of our stay was how accommodating the staff were—especially with our late check-out request. We had a 9 PM flight and they went out of their way to help us enjoy our last day stress-free. Highly recommend this resort if you're looking for a mix of comfort, convenience, and great service on Kauai!

Beautiful property with a jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. Large rooms with comfortable bedding. Live music aeound dinner time. They let you borrow a beacj chair, umbrella, and cooler to take with you to other beaches. The only downside is the beach is unswimmable due to the reef and rocks.

Loved my stay at the resort! It’s not a huge property, which I actually liked, as it felt more relaxed and never too crowded. The room was big, super clean, and had a boutique island vibe (loved the ocean mural on the wall). Perfect spot to chill after a day out exploring. The staff here, especially in the restaurant, were amazing - friendly, helpful, and always smiling. It definitely made me feel welcome. The beach out front isn’t really for swimming or “playing,” but the view is gorgeous. Just sitting there watching the waves was so peaceful. Only small downsides: the hallways are a bit dark, the shower pressure could be stronger, and the WIFI is IN FACT PRETTY SLOW. Also, the big red umbrellas around the pool kind of block the otherwise great view. Overall, still a great stay and I’d come back in a heartbeat! 🌴

The Sheraton Kaui at Coconut Beach was the nicest hotel with the best amenities and staff. It was quiet, the doors were soundproof, the lobby is stunning and open and you walk out to the pool and see the ocean right there!! It was the most beautiful setting for a vacation. We enjoyed lounging on the beach every morning in the chairs that were set out for us. You can ride bikes, you can workout in there amazing gym, play games, grab a snack or meal at the restaurant or bar, everything was great. Clean rooms, great towel service, I could go on and on. Best of all was their friendly staff. Virgie greeted us and welcomes us with her warm smile and generous hospitality. We will miss chatting with her daily. She is a gem at that hotel! Kekeo also helped us secure a great room on the 4th floor and was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning here to this hotel. Oh and another favorite part of this hotel was the Longs Drugs across the street where we could load up on snacks and drinks at night! I can’t say enough good things about our experience at the Sheraton at coconut Beach. Mahalo!!!

We came to Kauai to celebrate our 40th anniversary and this resort and their team of talented, thoughtful people made it so memorable. Jaye, Lida and her staff had our bed decorated with a beautiful 40th anniversary display with towel swans, flowers, and palms as well as chocolates and champagne! It truly was an amazing surprise and a great way to start our vacation. The staff at the hotel were friendly and kind and we were always greeted with an Aloha every time we left and returned each day which made us feel very welcomed. It's those small touches that really matter. The location was perfect for visiting other places on the island, with many places within walking distance. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We really enjoyed having access to beach chairs, umbrellas and towels that we could take take with us to other local beaches. We enjoyed the evening live music, the delicious breakfast buffet and restaurants. We had an amazing week and we highly recommend this resort!

The pool is nicer than the pictures, they do have a pool bar which opens daily between 12-6, which is nice. They are open up the pool and Jacuzzi up until late - 10PM. I wish they would leave the Jacuzzi at least open later and have more convenient sitting places for night time for those who enjoy the nights (not that popular in Hawaii apparently) The kitchen was well equipped, which was important for us for a long stay. They also have a dryer and washer in the room and supply the powder for that which is great! They don't have a lot of "attractions" things to do on property, adding a pool table, ping pong, video games for kids could be a nice addition. They do have large 4 in a row game and "bags". Anyone can wonder into the property and I suspect that some locals actually do, I saw one of the sellers from a nearby shop enjoy the Jacuzzi one evening - but Aloha. It didn't bother us. This is the case with all of the coastline resorts, some give your bracelet to "fight" these phenomena. All in all was a great place to stay for a family of 6.

Pretty much everything about this place is fantastic and it was a very relaxing stay. Lots of easy parking close by, right on the beach with a well maintained pool and hot tub with tiki torches around it, a very spacious room, quiet air conditioning, very comfortable mattresses, light blocking curtains, in-suite laundry, and everything was clean. Overall, excellent value for what we paid. My only minor complaints is the dryer was very slow. After an hour and 30 minutes of drying time on medium heat we gave up and took our clothes home damp. I suspect the dryer vent may be partially blocked.

My family and I had such a great time in Kauai. The condo we stayed was clean and spacious. There are walkable restaurants and shops. The beach is close by but not safe for young ones. I would recommend Lydgate Beach or the one towards the bridge where it’s protected for the little ones. We were able to use this as home base and drove around the island.

It's a nice property right on the beach. The water is a bit rough to swim in, but a 10 minute drive down the street, you can go swimming/snorkeling in calmer waters. We enjoyed catching the morning sunrise and running on the beach. It's located in the middle of Kauai, easy access to the north shore or the south shore. Convenient to shopping centers and restaurants. Walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace and excursions if you want to book one. I like the full kitchen. We made our own breakfast every morning and even grilled burgers one night. What I dislike, is the interior is a bit outdated. It was annoying needing to get their wristband (it's a time share property). They made it inconvenient to get it. You can only get it from 2:30pm-7pm. My family and I are out exploring during this time. The hotel room could have been cleaned a bit better when we first got there. They were sand on the floor, strands of hair in the shower, and cups that were not cleaned. Aside from theses issues, we had a great stay, and would come back.

My wife and I both loved staying. The location was great. There is a beautiful beach just steps from our room. The grounds were well maintained and there was plenty for everyone. Pools, a hot tub, outdoor showers, public BBQs, games, and plenty of lounge chairs. There is a cute mall area right across the road with plenty of shopping and dining options. All easily walkable. Our room was very nice. The full kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom with double sinks was a nice bonus. The unit as a whole was a little dated, but otherwise very nice. A few issues we had were that the balcony doors were both sticky and difficult to open. Also, the balcony door in the bedroom didn't shut properly so the sensor for the AC in there didn't work consistently. Also, some of drawers on the bedroom furniture were wonky and made them difficult to open or close. Beyond that, though it was a wonderful unit. We're pretty self-sustaining so we didn't deal with the staff too much, but those that we did were very pleasant and happy to help. I definitely recommend getting a room key bracelet as it was much more convenient than carrying the default card key.

Lovely resort. It was a very relaxing vacation. We had an ocean view condo and enjoyed seeing the surf and hearing the waves over coffee every morning from our balcony. The beach is beautiful although swimming in the surf is not recommended because of cross currents. We walked the beach most days, the sand is soft and views wonderful especially at sunrise and sunset. Swimming in the pool is great. The staff is very nice. On property is a great restaurant, Oasis on the Beach. Our condo had an issue with the wifi, as the bedroom TV would not connect no matter what we tried. Condo was clean and well appointed. The coffee they left us was delicious and we bought more in the office. We didn't cook in our condo but we did buy breakfast foods to refrigerate. and eat during our stay. They're billing system is wonky as I had to call them a couple of times to get our bill correct, but they took care of it. I recommend that you get a printout of your bill when you check out. The location in Kapaa is great, short drive to many sights, activities, airport and midway between north shore and south shore which we visited. We'd definitely stay again. Kauai was so much more enjoyable and less crowded than our visit to Oahu.

This is our 6th or 7th yearly visit to WBRS on Kauai. We have loved on the island and love the place. This resort is perfect for us, great comfortable rooms with great beds, kitchen, pool, beachfront (but not a swimming beach) and access to the entire island. Very quiet. The onsite staff is gracious and helpful and make you feel welcome. Parking s free and safe. Grocery stores and services are across the street. The front staff, Lani, and manager, Belinda, provided great service when needed. We had a problem with the AC on our first night and it was resolved the next morning. Belinda also kindly offered us a free dinner which was appreciated. The hotel staff is present until 7 and after that you must call an off site person (way offsite) who was of little help. Belinda and Lani took care of the issue the first thing in the morning but an offsite person could have assisted us with a simple solution if they had that info. The next day a very helpful repairman solved the AC issue in 30 seconds. Towel service and pool is great. Beach chairs on beach are so relaxing. The grounds are immaculate. The Oasis restaurant, on site was great. Great fish, drinks and dessert.

Perfect resort!!! Very little people around, basically had our own private beach outside our oceanfront two bedroom. Views were incredible and was super quiet all around the property. Great walking path around the property. Pool area was great but we never went, spent all our time on the beach on provided loungers & beach towels. Live music at the little restaurant that you could enjoy from the beach. Staff were friendly, room was amaaaazing. Just an overall incredible experience!

Love, Love, Love this place. My family will never forget the memories we made here. Accommodations , 2 bd 3 bath was so beautiful and comfortable. Beds were so cozy. The grounds are amazing, well kept and convenient. Slides were perfect size for our kids and adults. Our one year old loved it too. The restaurant had the best food and cocktails. The sunrise at the beach was a treat every morning with the whole family. We stayed 10 days and we had more we could’ve done. Can’t wait to go back.

WBR is the most amazing property in all of Kauai. We have stayed here twice and will never stay anywhere else. The location is perfection to access the whole island. The pool is the very best with a lazy river to walk, a waterfall grotto, slides, sand water beach for the kids, sand bottom hot tubs. The beach is perfect to sunbathing, walking, and visiting a resident monk seal. Unit E404 is in pristine condition, with gorgeous views, and a fully stocked kitchen. It's very large, beautiful, and comfortable and we really loved having a washer and dryer. The AC is primo! We book through the VRBO, not the hotel area.

We were looking for a budget friendly motel during our 4 night stay in Kauai…I had read the reviews prior to booking, and I found most of them to be “spot on”. Although you are not on the beach with a view and its an older hotel, the amount of money we saved was so worth it! Our unit was VERY clean and comfortable- we loved having a kitchen, as well as a smart TV to watch a netflix movie after an active day. Housekeeping was so friendly!!!! Location was central to all the activities we did while visiting.

Close to airport, Kauai museum, easy to walk to breakfast and other restaurants. Great place to crash after long flight. Then stock up at Walmart or Costco before driving to Princeville. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Feels homey and quaint. Lovely little garden area with palm trees

During my delightful 10-day stay at KPH, I had the pleasure of encountering an exceptional team that truly enhanced my experience. A visit to Hawaii is always fantastic, and it's the people who make the place special. Gratitude is extended to Lei, the Housekeeper Manager, and Ron, the General Manager of the hotel, along with all the staff members who exuded the Aloha spirit throughout my stay. My accommodation, Room #24, featured a clean room with a convenient mini kitchenette, allowing me to store and reheat food as needed. Although daily coffee was provided, I preferred getting it from the lobby, relishing the pleasant company of the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Special mention goes to the charming chickens and the affectionate orange cat, Mango, who added to the unique charm. What truly stands out in my memory is the genuine connection formed with the hotel's extraordinary people. A heartfelt appreciation goes to Lei, Ron, and their dedicated team for exemplifying professionalism and courtesy, going above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and thoroughly enjoy their stay. Ron's captivating lesson on ancient Hawaiian history was particularly enlightening and instrumental in planning my days. Lei, your kindness is truly commendable, and I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Consider yourself a valued friend, and I look forward to returning to the hotel soon. The Kauai Palms Hotel to my delight was a very relaxing and cozy hotel. My friends and I reserved a room with 3 beds, which also included a kitchen! We brought back leftover dinner meals from restaurants, so we utilized the refrigerator, microwave and kitchen sink often. I must say that our room was very spacious too. The hotel staff members were wonderful and very friendly to us during our stay. I especially enjoyed meeting the Hotel Manager (Ron Kikimoto), who willingly shared with the hotel guests his vast knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and history. There were various interesting ancient artifacts at the hotel lobby along with a large wall map of Kauai. Lastly, I inadvertently left behind a few souvenirs at the hotel room. Fortunately, the observant staff member (Olivia) found them and alerted Ron Kikimoto. He in turn informed me and shipped the items to my home in Virginia, which I happily received yesterday - what a relief!! My heartfelt thanks to Ron for his quick response on this matter. When I return for another visit to Kauai, I will definitely make reservations at the Kauai Palms Hotel without hesitation, and the price was very reasonable!! Aloha & Mahalo!!!

The bed was super comfortable. Staff were lovely. AC worked perfect. Everything was clean and towels were changed after a few days which was great. Also, getting beach towels was brilliant. Free coffee and nice to has a fridge in the room too. Perfect stay and pretty good value for Hawaii prices.
