We really enjoyed jacuzzi and gas barbecue ❤️ thank you for a free upgrade for a better hut, it was nice and warm in there.

We had an amazing 3 night stay here. The location of the huts is very well thought out to offer maximum privacy and stunning views. We stayed in Cut Sinc which is one of the older huts and a little limited electronically (this was fine for us) where as the other huts had tv’s, microwaves and flushing toilets, so worth thinking about your wants/needs when picking your hut. All of the huts were clean, well maintained and surprisingly spacious. We had a wood fired hot tub which had been heated ready for us on arrival and on the last night we got to try out the jacuzzi in one of the other huts. Both were fantastic!! Sioned and her family were welcoming, friendly and helpful and we got to enjoy Huwi’s fresh eggs every morning. Whilst you are only a short drive from the local villages the huts are totally immersed in nature. We got to watch kites, an Owl, bats, deers and rabbits. I would definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back again.

Such a perfect getaway. The hosts were friendly and were kind enough to preheat the hottub for our late arrival. The hot tub was fantastic and it was great to have extra logs available at the hut for a very reasonable £5/bag. We loved the stream at the foot of the decking and the chickens a stone's throw behind the hut. The location is quite easy to find thanks to the hosts' instructions. The hut had everything we could possibly need kitchen-wise, the bed was comfy, the hut was clean, and though the composting toilet can take some getting used to, it was by no means unpleasant. The barbecue was great to have though confusing to light, but the host's mother was on hand to help us within a moment's notice. We really enjoyed having meals on the wooden decking overlooking the stream. The mini-shop was a nice addition for (not the most affordable) emergency supplies and the freezer to swap ice-blocks was great to keep the ice box cold each day. There's a lovely walk we did that starts at the hut and goes up onto the hills which I'd recommend. Though the hut is off-grid, we could just about make the most of the mini-shop's free WiFi from our decking. Sadly the USB ports by the bed didn't seem to work so we had to use the kitchen's USB ports, and the main light switch plate wasn't fitted properly and kept falling on the floor, but neither of these problems were a bother in the grand scheme of things. Overall I would definitely recommend to a friend!

We loved it all. If you're after a peaceful break, then this is perfect. My wife was chilling on the decking with a glass of wine, watching the sheep and their lambs while a few pheasants popped into the field. There were also rabbits in hedge row and buzzards in the sky. In the meantime, I was cooking our dinner on the log burner stove as I waited for the log fired jacuzzi to warm up. It was pure bliss. We took the puppy too, and he was secure on the decking as the hut is all fenced off. There is also a shop there which is a great idea. The shop is an honest shop where you help yourself and leave the cash in a locked box. They really have thought of everything.

Overall my stay with the Mid Wales Luxury Huts has been fantastic and a memorable one. The hosts were amazing as they were extremely helpful and friendly. We did have an incident where we had run out of gas for the BBQ, but the host were incredibly responsive and fixed the issue within 5 minutes. If you are looking for a little romantic getaway, I do believe that you would not be let down, the location of the hut was perfect as you are remote in the countryside with beautiful scenery all around, but a short drive to the nearest seaside town. The hut and hot tub was clean overall and offered a lot of privacy. Would love to stay again. Thank you again Sioned & Andy!

These huts are amazing, spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the bed was so comfy. The shared toilet/shower block is is always exceptionally clean.

We absolutely loved the hut, it was very well equipped, and had a very comfortable bed. The site is great, very clean and well set out. The position of the site is close to so many great walks and amazing places to visit. If you go to this site make sure you do the "torrent walk" which is just up the lane, it is amazing!

Cozy, clean and perfect for relaxing after a hard climb in the mountains

Outstanding surrounding views. Hot tub over looking hills and woodland. Rooms are clean and tidy, spacious with quality bed linen, towels and shower gels. Coffee machine and kettle inside the room and a decanter of water provided. Along with a hairdryer, and slipoers. Plenty of space through out the property, whether you want to relax in the garden area with hot tub, large quiet space in a downstairs living room or have drinks in the bar which is also a chinese food restaurant from 17:30pm-to approximately 22:00 depending on bookings.. Inexpensive food and drinks in the restaurant. Breakfast is served between 06:30am and 9am. With cereals, yogurt and a main breakfast choice of, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, vine tomatoes, hash browns and glorious fried eggs. Coffee and tea and a choice of orange or apple juice available too. Check in from 15:00 on arrival checkout up to 10:00 on your departure. 40 minutes from lake Vyrnwy turn left onto nain road out of hotel. 30 minutes to Barmouth turn right out hotel. Located in the south of snowdonia national park.

The room was very spacious and clean, bed comfortable, view from the window lovely and it was quiet at night. The owners were very friendly and kind. Breakfast was delicious full Welsh and served in a company of cute puppies which was an added bonus! The restaurant served delicious Chinese food. Overall perfect and would recommend.

Everything about this place was amazing, greeted with a smile and helped to the room by the lovely lady proprietor, given a guided tour of the beautiful house and garden, the lady also moved us to a room with a much nicer view of the garden and surrounding area. The evening meal was authentic Chinese cuisine, very tasty and extremely good value for money, breakfast was also filling with a large choice of continental followed by full English breakfast / Welsh breakfast, then we get to the room and the bed, so comfortable we didn't want to leave, the bathroom had both bath and shower so spoilt for choice, both bedroom and bathroom were impeccably clean and beautifully decorated with added touches like coffee machine as well as kettle, his and hers bathrobes and slippers, suffice to say that we will be back for another visit Thanks for a lovely stay Buckley Arms staff xxJan and Rob 25/8/23

We liked everything about our stay in the Buckley Arms. The food in the Chinese restaurant was delicious, with a very good selection of drinks at the bar. We had a choice of two beautiful rooms, very spacious and comfortable with stunning view from the back of the hotel. The bed and bed lining were extremely comfy and we had a first class sleep. Breakfast was made for us fresh and very tasty. Could not fault this place. We will be back there to stay again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- Absolutely lovely boutique hotel, the landlady and the staffs were wonderful, extremely helpful and friendly. - Very comfy bed, pillows and mattress. - Big bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. - Staffs were very helpful, they helped us carrying luggages, letting us borrow plates/spoons to that we asked for to eat our takeaways in our rooms. - Breakfast was good, basic options but good. - Rooms were equipped with good kettles/tea/coffee even coffee machines, which was wonderful. - the views were spectacular from the hotel and the breakfast area. - The food served in the hotel restaurant was not overpriced and was quite good.

A lovely warm welcome on arrival from the very attentive staff was the start of a great 6 days. The hotel is in a lovely location with excellent views and my room was so comfortable - the bed and pillows get a special mention as well as the views from the bedroom whilst enjoying morning coffee.🙂 We ate in the restaurant and had a fantastic Sunday lunch as well as a dinner on our last night. The chef, kitchen and waiting staff really made the meal exceptional - delicious food and friendly service. We also enjoyed drinking the bar - nice and relaxing and in the winter with the fire on, I imagine it’s very cosy. Great place for a base to explore a beautiful area - the walks are fantastic.

The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property.

Cannot speak highly enough of our stay at this beautiful hotel. The hotel itself is stunning, beautifully appointed, fabulous gardens and such a wonderful, scenic location. The room was beautifully appointed and decorated, so comfortable and so many little extra touches and details. I think it had been recently refurbished and it certainly had been done well. It was lovely. All the public rooms were lovely too, very comfortable and relaxing. The food was absolutely outstanding. I honestly think that the dinner we had in the restaurant was the best meal I’ve ever eaten. The flavours in every course, from the canapés to the petit fours, all worked so well together. It really was delicious. Fantastic breakfast too. And finally the staff were brilliant! Everyone that we interacted with was incredibly friendly and so helpful. They just made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Every single one of them made us feel like they were old friends, welcoming us to stay in their beautiful home. Clearly not the cheapest hotel but worth every penny in my opinion. Thank you all, we loved it.

Had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. Hotel and bedroom was very comfortable and stylish. Very clean and well maintained. Food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds were very picturesque and a great view of the estuary. Would highly recommend a stay.

This is possibly the best hotel I have stayed at - it has completely exceeded my expectations. It is situated in a private area away from the road, and the scenery is the best I have seen. Our room was also upgraded and it was so spacious (the decor and the space felt royal). We had every facility we needed such as hair dryer, iron, wifi, TV etc. The restaurant was amazing, everything was made out of fresh produce and it felt like a Michelin restaurant - I was seriously impressed, compliments to the chef. We also had parking space and could see the car from the room. The hotel is like a mansion from movies and I will definitely bring my family and friends here to experience it as well. There are gardens within the precinct of the hotel which can be seen on beautiful walks. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to spoil themselves, reconnect with nature, have some peace and quiet, and eat well.

Everything was exceptional, a gem of a place. Jacuzzi bath , extremely comfy bed, perfect breakfast, beautiful house with an amazing array of art and antiques. Betty and Richard are perfect hosts. Great location with ample parking, 3 minute walk to Dolgellau centre and wonderful views from all the windows.

Everything! The B&B is in a fab location just a 5 minute stroll from the main square with the restaurants, shops and pubs. We were met on arrival by such a lovely friendly couple who welcomed us into their home. Our room exceeded our expectations and was large and cosy with everything you could wish for. The bed was so comfy and the shower was amazing! We had a fabulous nights sleep and it was so quiet, no noise from any of the other rooms. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty with excellent produce and cooked fresh to order with a lovely continental spread to tuck into while waiting for your hot food. The B&B has parking which is another massive bonus for us. We will definitely be staying here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. You will be well looked after.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. It is a beautiful house, and the hosts were very welcoming. We had the twin room, which was large and, as it is on the corner had two windows giving plenty of light and a mountain view from one. The bathroom (including a bath and bath robes) was also very spacious. There is a very nice garden with comfy furniture which can be used by guests. The area is so quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was good, cereals, fruit and freshly prepared full cooked breakfast. We enjoyed being able to walk into Dolgellau in the evening, it’s only takes a few minutes. I would recommend the food at Y Sospan. This hotel is very difficult to find, I would suggest reading some of the reviews on Booking.com. or asking the owners for directions.

The hosts Betty & Richard were very welcoming & the room was so cosy & comfortable. Proper coffee & fresh milk (in a little fridge) and a decent size mug in the room. Room was quiet even with the window open at night. Full English (Welsh?) breakfast, choice of cereals, toast, fresh fruit & yoghurts for breakfast to set you up for the day.

Warm and personal welcome from the minute you arrived - being shown to your room and everything you might need being pointed out. Calm and beautifully decorated with so many interesting and fascinating items and decor. The room and whole property was immaculate and spacious with a view of the surrounding area but quiet and relaxing. Personal but professional and a delight to stay….wish we’d been there for more than one night! Breakfast was beautifully served and cooked to order with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay from start to finish! The pod was lovely and clean. When we arrived the electric fire was on and it was very welcoming and warm. Menna came to welcome us on arrival and make sure everything was ok and explained how to use the hottub which was very easy. We had some car troubles and the hosts came straight down to help us. I would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful accommodation. The outdoor hot tub was a highlight—so relaxing under the stars. The terrace offered stunning views, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sunset. Inside, everything was cozy, modern, and well-equipped. It was the perfect escape, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful, picturesque setting.

Beautiful views, stream, and oak trees surround the pod. The family are warm and welcoming and do anything for you. Our car got stuck going up to the pod, and they towed us out. The pod was clean and comfortable, had the kitchen things you need for a week stay. The bathroom was clean and water piping hot. The water is so soft it is lovely for your hair and skin, no horrid chemicals. I loved doing yoga and mediation on the decking area and sitting watching the sun rise and set, listening to the wildlife. The bed is comfortable. So lovely having no TV, so after a long day out enjoying Wales, take a shower and have food and drink, it's great to have early nights ☺️ There is a great hot tub and was set up for us on the first night; good to soothe aching feet and warm up in. Takes around 4 hours to warm up, so think on. The farm is close to Machynlleth which is a town that has cafes and pubs and food and shops. The locals are very friendly and helpful. I loved spending time in Wales and in this pod, it's a definite place to return to and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lovely countryside!

Stunning views from the room and also from the jacuzzi. Room is very large and comes with a lot of food (porridge, bread, jam, pastries, juice, etc). Lovely host. Simply amazing. We will definitely come back next year!

The wonderfully quirky and interesting mixture of modern art and traditional antique furniture really sets the grand old building apart from most accomodation we've stayed in. The very comfortable bed was a highlight and the view from it, through the large bay window, gave the mountain backdrop of Cader Idris .. absolutely glorious! Relaxing in the jacuzzi after an energetic run and walk in Coed y Brenin was just lovely.. Serafina and Andy were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. We'd definitely recommend this to our friends and we hope to return in the future.

Stayed here for 1 night on the 23rd August, we used this as a overnight stop off while me and my wife continued our motorcycle ride around Wales. It was an absolutely fantastic place to stay, the rooms was brilliant and the jacuzzi was even better. The art work is amazing too. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to stay. Will definitely be back in future.

Warm, clean, pleasant and comfortable. Lovely bed. Very quiet which was perfect and lovely views. And I was left alone!! Not that I'm particularly anti-social - I just really wanted some quality peace and quiet.

The room was lovely, bed and bathroom lovely. Everything we needed was there, including plenty of free parking.and a lovely pub nearby for dinner, plus a crafts centre cafe next to that for a cosy breakfast. Views of farm animals and wildlife from our window.

I found the room comfortable and of high quality. The environment was clean, quiet and peaceful.

Absolutely fantastic house. The property was super clean, same for the room. We loved the big bathroom, I wish I could take it home with me 😄. We didn't have breakfast, but there is an option of a breakfast basket. There are also spaces to relax and a conservatory dining room. Walking distance to a local pub and a quick 10min drive to a bigger city with all the amenities that you need. It was a flying visit for us, so cannot comment on any nearby attractions or places to see as we did not explore. Honestly, couldn't fault the stay.

Booked The Tilman as a last minute break away. We stayed in room 1 both nights and it was beautiful. Absolutely spotless! Clean and modern . I'd go as far as to say the cleanest place I've stayed in on a UK break. The staff were really helpful and friendly. They could not do enough for us. Something I noticed was that the staff actually seemed happy to work there, looked a really nice work environment and that shows in their service and attention to detail. We had breakfast both mornings which was really tasty. Fresh produce and cooked perfectly. Breakfast staff were great (I'm sorry I didn't get their names to give them a mention!) Also great customer service from Arek (hope I've spelled your name right!) We loved the little touches in our room such as bath salts which smelt amazing, good quality brand tea and coffee, really appreciated the little extras such as a mini bar with water and soft drinks. The facilities were fab, plenty of towels and had more delivered on request. Temp controlled heating and air con in the room. Really comfy pillows. Everything was top quality from the room to the staff. We enjoyed our stay that much we requested to stay a second night in the same room. Which was no problem and was offered top ups of things and ask if we would like our room refreshed. We have already looked at availability to come back in the summer ☀️ 10/10 would recommend and would definitely come back.

Everything about the Tilman was perfect. From the time we booked in and we were greeted by friendly bar staff and then we went to our room which was spacious, clean and very comfy. Large comfy bed, modern furnishings and lovely relaxing nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Tasty local produce and very well cooked and presented. Shirley (our waitress and cleaner) was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely stay at the Tilman again as ALL staff were wonderful. We look forward to seeing you again at some point.

It was modern, clean, the extras were amazing like Molton brown shower gel. Good quality coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome. The food for the breakfast was amazing including the cappuccino. Its a great location for Barmouth central and the parking was easily accessible around the corner from the hotel. They even allowed us to stay on the car park for a little longer when we asked because the hotel wasn't full that day.

I don’t know where to start! It was our mini moon and the hotel had given us a lovely room with some treats in that made us feel special! We walked into the room and it was spotless and smelt fresh and clean! The was not a spec of dirt! It is comfortable, quirky and modern. We asked for advice where to eat and staff provided us with a number of options and where to avoid, just what you need in a new town! There is ample free parking and we were given directions to this. The bar itself has a great selection of drinks and a lovely relaxed atmosphere, we loved the music! Don’t be worried about the bar noise as we didn’t hear anything at all! The breakfast was amazing! A lovely menu with everything from overnight oats to a full fry up. All freshly made to order and nothing was too much trouble!

The room was huge with big windows, and really comfortable. The decor was great, quite modern and stylish. The bathroom was huge and beautifully appointed. An amazing shower and a separate bath! The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good. Although the rooms are above a very lively and popular pub, there was no noise at all in the rooms. Right in the centre of town and close to the beach, so the location was perfect. Free parking was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again.

Our stay here was faultless. The room was comfortable, very well equipped with everything you could need. Excellent shower. Beautiful views from every aspect. Comfortable bed. Furnishings were of a high quality. Breakfast was delicious, a vast choice of cereals, fresh fruit, and cooked options were tasty and served in a bright, clean dining room. The local commjnity pub 'Glan Yr Afon' just a couple of minutes walk served good food and is worth a visit. There is a pleasant garden for guests to use, which is a lovely addition. Glyn and Corina were friendly and welcoming. They offer a great place to stay with favourable rates, well worth it. Diolch am bopeth 😁

This is the best guest house we have ever stayed in! The attention to detail was outstanding - every detail had been considered. Our room was very attractive and beautifully appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the power shower was amazing! Everything was clean and fresh. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, with lots of choice. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

Most bed and breakfast places only do the bare minimum. But here, they exceeded what you would expect, they served a huge breakfast, all while at our table , it was like having our own personal friendly server, the bed was so comfy, ilhad an amazing sleep , they had free homemade chocolate chip cookies in the front,and the facilities was phenomenally clean, great place!!!! Great and friendly owners!!!! STAY HERE, if you want the most of what you pay for!!

Still by far our 'go-to' B&B in mid-Wales! Lovely peaceful setting in a quiet village, easy self-check-in, a beautiful room that's well appointed with some nice amenities and goodies, a very comfortable bed, a hot powerful shower, a delicious breakfast (best bacon I've ever had!) and is run by a lovely welcoming family who even share their sweet treats, along with the recipe! Exactly what a B&B should be!

The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a warm welcome and goodbye. There was plenty of parking. The room was very spacious and comfy, a perfect set up for a family or friends. Having a coffee maker and fridge were an added bonus and lovely to havd fresh milk and some little treats left in there for us. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was spacious and clean with an excellentshower. The toiletries smelt wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. The grounds around the hall were beautiful. It would have been nice to spend longer at Borthwnog Hall. Next time I'll book the suite with the baloney and estuary view and perhaps plan time to enjoy the gardens with a book!

The most beautiful B&B we’ve ever stayed in. The photos don’t do any justice at all. The moment you arrive in the driveway, up to the time you step inside, it gives you that warm, cosy feeling of being home away from home. The interior design is very tasteful and you can see that even up to the tiniest detail is well thought of. I read in the website that it used to be an art gallery. No wonder how beautiful it is! My husband and I stayed at the deluxe suite. The room was spacious, clean, with such a relaxing, breathtaking view from the window. The bed was huge and comfortable. I especially loved the bathroom design too. The location is also close to the town of both Dolgellau and Barmouth. They only serve breakfast, so make reservations for dinner ahead of time as most places are always fully booked. The breakfast was delicious. I just wished they serve it earlier, as it starts at 08:30. (But that’s just a personal preference of ours as we usually eat breakfast early, so we could also leave early to do long distance cycling). We had a wonderful stay. Thank you to the lovely staff who were welcoming and accommodating. We’ll definitely come back for sure.

Really lovely place to stay, a warm welcome on arrival. Set in beautiful grounds and the interior of the hotel was cosy and comfortable. Also a special mention for the aquarium in the breakfast room, which is amazing. Our cottage was very clean on arrival with a beautiful polished pale blue aga that was warm to the touch. The bed was really comfy and i slept as well as I would at home. Great choices for breakfast that was freshly cooked to order with plenty of good coffee. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We will be back for sure.

The view across the tidal river was jaw dropping. We saw cattle crossing when we first arrived. The location was ideal. We had the annexe at the back, cosy but felt luxurious & comfortable from the bedding, matching dressing gowns, towels, posh toiletries, amazing shower to the well equipped kitchen and Aga to cook on. It was spotlessly clean. There was a large lounge in the main hall to spend time in and admire the view too. Hosts were very pleasant and the breakfast lovely with a good choice of options.

The room (Estuary Suite) was really big and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the windows and balcony. The furnishings in the room and house are very good quality, interesting and well planned. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and really nice contained garden. The shower was amazing, as were the complimentary toiletries and drinks/snacks. It was nice to have access to a massive range of movies on the TV for the evenings. Overall a very comfortable, relaxing stay.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Royal Ship Hotel. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and seemed to be a happy team. Our room 115 was spacious, clean, cosy and warm and the bed was very comfortable, we slept well, loved to hear the bells chiming from the church nearby. Tea, coffee, fresh milk, bottled water and biscuits were supplied in our room. The restaurant was nice and the pub meals were okay. We managed to get a parking space soon after our arrival. The breakfast menu was very good and had plenty of choices. We will look forward to returning to the Royal Ship Hotel and completing some more lovely walks in the area.

A really friendly welcoming hotel with bar and restaurant. Our room was spotless and there was a large disabled access bathroom. Fresh milk in a thermos for tea and coffee in the room was a thoughtful touch. The shower was hot but the flow was a little underwhelming. Lovely young man on reception loaned me his iPhone charger - much appreciated. Full English breakfast was excellent and we appreciated the cafetière of coffee. A great stay.

Fabulous breakfast selection, had full veg breakfast and full Welsh breakfast, both delicious, quick service. Waitress very friendly Loved the room, we even got upgraded free of charge! Large spacious bathroom, tea and coffee facilities in the room and a flask of milk given to us.

Location is central yet quiet. Free parking available. Cosy bar area. Country pub style restaurant with good menu, not expensive. Great local lager. Spacious, comfortable room. The staff are so polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

A comfortable triple room with en-suite provided a good night's sleep in comfy beds. Excellent tea/coffee facities, with fresh milk in a flask provided on checking in. Although the bar looked full when we arrived, as we were guests space was easily found for us for an excellent Sunday evening roast. Breakfast was similarly excellent. Staff were very professional and served with a smile.

This is as close to a perfect BnB as I have found. Run by a really lovely couple (who are very knowledgble and helpful re local area/walks etc), the house is lovely and cosy, scenery is stunning, breakfast is spot on and there's an outdoor hottub which is perfect for relaxing after a hike. They also make you a packed lunch for a small fee so you don't have to travel to find food. If you're heading to mid-Wales, stay here.

Dolfannog Fawr is a beautiful home in exquisite surroundings. Lorraine and Alex were the perfect hosts who pay attention to the smallest details. The property is spotlessly clean, our room was immaculate and the hosts have thought of everything a guest might possibly need to make their stay luxurious and ultra-comfortable. The bed, duvet, pillows and linen were pristine and we felt as if we were sleeping on a cloud each night. Even our top of the range bathroom products were heavenly and it will be a challenge going back to our run of the mill choices! The lounge was a stunning room, decorated stylishly and a self-service bar provided a plethora of refreshments for guests including specifically Welsh products. A Welsh Cider was particularly enjoyable and refreshing. Breakfast was a very hearty full English breakfast for one of us, perfectly cooked and the Welsh Black Pudding was thoroughly enjoyed. One of us enjoyed the vegetarian options available. our breakfast views of velvety, emerald green mountains and sheep grazing was a perfect start to the day. A prolific amount of information and literature was available in our room about the region and our hosts were knowledgeable and helpful about things to do and sightseeing. Lorraine and Alex were helpful and available when needed but were never intrusive. We wouldn’t hesitate choose this perfect haven retreat for our next visit to this beautiful area. We recently stayed at Dolffanog Fawr for three nights, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The room was incredibly comfortable — spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully appointed, which made it a perfect retreat after exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside. One of the real highlights was the hospitality. Our host was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast, clearly made with care and using quality ingredients — a great way to start the day. The location itself is stunning. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with a breathtaking view of the rolling fields dotted with sheep. It was peaceful, scenic, and incredibly relaxing — exactly what we were looking for. All in all, Dolffanog Fawr is a gem. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway with top-notch hospitality in the heart of Wales. I’m already looking forward to returning!

Lorraine and Alex are a pleasure to meet and very professional. The location is stunning and we had a beautiful view from our room. The room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable, well maintained, tastefully decorated and furnished. Generous quantities of tea/coffee and quality bathroom products were provided. Breakfast is delicious with varied menu options. Parking is convenient and the wi-fi is fine. Overall, Dolffanog Fawr is as good as it gets and we would definitely stay again. In my view it represents very good value for money.

A very friendly host with an excellent cooked breakfast. The quality and quantity could not be faulted. Their breakfast trifle is strongly recommended. The breakfast room was spacious and well laid out and very clean. The service was very prompt. The room was well appointed and had a very comfortable bed. There was plenty of space in the room and we has a lovely view across the lake. The option of using the guest lounge was an additional bonus. There was plenty of information on what to do in the area. The honesty bar, although not used, was available for those wishing to have an evening drink in the garden or lounge.
