Staff very welcoming, clean, modern hotel. roof top terrace with the beds and jacuzzi’s were amazing. highly recommend. car park was immaculate too.

It was so clean and the AC was brilliant. Such a nice sweet almost spa like smell everytime we walked into the lobby. Got an upgrade when we checked in. Loved the roof top jacuzzi area too. Great coffee in the cafeteria room.

Its location , parking and helpfulness of the staff. The use of the jacuzzi on the terrace was a great addition.

Top level in nice city. Money/ value - best ratio. Nice personel, lot of Amenities, jacuzzi on 3 th floor open to 2 am - good relax and recommend strongly king room 😎

Lovely accommodation, everything was perfect only improvements would be more shower gel and shampoos and the shower wasn't very good hot and cold plus very weak.. thought there was a pool from the pictures on the website but there wasn't, however the jacuzzi was a good touch.

Excellent hotel, speedy check-in and check-out. 24h reception, free parking just outside the hotel. Spacious rooms, great rooftop with jacuzzi and sunset views. Definitely recommend if you're visiting Nerja!

Loved our late afternoon’s on the rooftop in the cool jacuzzi pools and comfortable day beds. Great location for easy access to nearby beaches, shops and restaurants. Fully recommend.

The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are very soft the hotel is spotless and the staff are very friendly ,the big double sun beds on the roof top are comfortable and the two sunken jacuzzi,s are brilliant. The only thing that could of made it better The breakfast could have some warm things on the menu.

The room was very comfortable and clean, it was great to have the fridge in the room and air conditioning to cool off after the sun. The Hotel is in a great location, so close to restaurants, cafes, bars and the beach. The jacuzzi on the roof were added bonus, lovely views from the rooftop.

Excellent property - very clean, excellent location, excellent staff and very accommodative. Rooms are on the smaller side as in everywhere in Spain but they have everything you need including AC, wifi, clean toilets, TV, balcony etc. There is also a jacuzzi on the roof. 10/10

The location is amazing, right in the middle of the town with bars and amazing places to eat right at your front door. The room we stayed had everything you need from full kitchen to a jacuzzi!

Right next to the Balcon de Europa parking so quite convenient. Jacuzzi for an early winter evening was a plus. Great view from the rooftop. And the bed was really comfortable.

Very good looking and new rooms, very clean and comfortable. Location was fantastic and nice rooftop bar with jacuzzi's were you an chill with a drink.

Very good restaurant, lovely breakfast. Very busy in the evening. Room best described as quirky. HUGE comfortable bed in a relatively small room. Small bathroom but clean. Had to ask for towels but quickly provided. Rooftop worth a visit with it's open air jacuzzi and great views.

Lovely hotel in a prime location. Spotless clean and really friendly staff. We stayed in a room with a terrace. We actually got 2. One side had a table, chairs and a brolly. The other had a lovely comfy day bed. We had a few days where we just spent the day on the terrace. Would definitely come back. Really central to bars, restaurants and the various beaches.

We loved the location which was within walking distance of all local amenities. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much to ask for. The rooms were clean, bright & perfect for us . With French doors opening up to the square below, with a glimpse of the Sea too, but when shut the hustle & bustle if the square was not noticeable. The roof top pool and bar area were amazing and a great place for an afternoon swim after shopping or all day sunbathing if you so desired. The hotel also offered well priced trips beyond Nerja and a buffet breakfast as an extra cost. Overall a very enjoyable short break for us and definately a hotel we will return too. I find it hard to understand that this hotel is only rated a 3* as it certainly seemed a much higher rating based on our experience of 4* star hotels.

Location is just amazing - literally in the center next to bars, ATM, supermarket, restaurants and even nail salon. Hotel has its own parking or you can find a place for free outside if you are lucky. Room was super big! Bathroom as well! Beds super comfy. Breakfast various and of high quality and tasty. There was nothing that we did not like. Stuff very helpful.

I’m just home from 2 week stay in room 546.On arrival was greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff.Apartment a 2 bedroom was spotless clean.The view when I opened the curtain was amazing.Beds in both bedrooms were so comfortable and we had perfect sleep every night soothed by the sound of the sea We had half board and we were very pleased.Only had dinner in Nerja 2 nights as we loved the choice for breakfast and dinner. During my stay I asked for a bath mat as I had knee replacement surgery recently.I asked before dinner and was in the bathroom after dinner the reception staff can’t do enough for you. The hotel may be tiered in places but the friendly staff keeping it clean makes you not notice.The apartments are well equipped great safe and TV with BBC UTV Channel 4 and 5 We did a tour to Rhonda with Tui who have representatives in reception most mornings even though we did not travel with them and it was easy to book. Will be returning soon for another chilled holiday

Some of the previous reviews worried me, however, I found the hotel, room, pool area to be perfectly adequate for a 4 night bed and breakfast break. Rooms: Some rooms on the ground level (0) have no sea view at all. We had room 109 which offered a lovely sea view and was clean and perfectly equipped with also great pressure from the shower. Unfortunate that sea view rooms cannot be pre-booked as others in our party ended up with a ground floor by the pool. Pool: Was kept nice and clean with plenty of sun beds but closed a bit early. Facilities: Good facilities, beach restaurant, little shop, two different bars with good selection of drinks. A little expensive in comparison to bars in the town and some odd pricing as was charged 10euro for a gin and tonic one night and 8euro on another night 🤔. Breakfast: Very nice selection offered from 0730-1030. After 8.30-9.00 it gets very busy and noisy. Not the most relaxing experience but you definite don’t leave hungry. Customer service: Not the best I have experienced. Would say a mixed bag with some staff being more helpful and pleasant than others. Not much information on arrival, would be useful to have customer information within the rooms. Some reception staff were helpful. One particular barman was quite rude, very abrupt and throwing change back at you on the bar which doesn’t make for a particularly pleasant customer experience. All in all good value. Out of town but buses and taxis readily available.

We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Nerja staying at the Onas Marina De Nerja. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on a half board package. PROS Lovely, pleasant staff, especially in the restaurant. Air conditioning in rooms made for a comfortable night’s sleep. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Great balcony with a sea view. Good choice of food in the restaurant. Good location, right on the beach. A bus into town from the hotel entrance every hour apart from at siesta time. Pool area nice with plenty of sun beds which can’t be reserved by selfish people at the crack of dawn. Cleaning staff pleasant and came in every day to make beds and provide clean towels etc. CONS Tired room in need of updating. Rooms could do with being soundproofed as very noisy if your neighbours are not considerate. Although there was an excellent choice of food in the restaurant, the hot choice was always lukewarm and never hot. This was a shame as it ruined our enjoyment. Salads were beautiful and fresh. Bread rolls were often stale. Entertainment staff very loud. Perhaps an area away from the pool could be used for entertainment so that people can relax. Alternatively a quiet area for those wishing to have some peace whilst enjoying the sun.

This is a fantastic location if you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of Nerja. It has a great pool and is right on the beach with plenty of sun loungers even during the day. Loungers are poolside and o grass beside the beach and they are watched over regularly. The staff are friendly and seem happy and focused. Reception staff are very helpful. Bar staff could be more friendly to customers, they seem to be more engaged with their colleagues and there never seems to be enough of them. Food in the buffet is solid to good with plenty of options, and you can see it being prepared by the chefs which is a good touch. Like all buffets it gets predictable after a few days. The rooms are clean and have all you need. I know some of the reviews say the place is dated but frankly, its clean, safe, everything works and its well run so im less bothered.

Reception staff very welcoming (Manuel particularly). Room was clean and smelled fresh. Air con could have been more efficient, but kept room cool enough to sleep at night (we were there during high temps). Beds comfy, balcony huge with sea views. Word of warning, if the balcony door gets closed from the outside it locks itself (ours did anyway!) Sound travels through rooms a lot. Rooms well enough equipped. Pool area beautiful, loads of beds, gorgeous grass area between pool & sea was our favourite. Food was a mixed bag, some lovely dishes, some not so nice (sometimes poor quality meat) but always something to enjoy. Pool bar staff were good, even though always busy (Bernardo' service and hospitality was excellent). All inclusive drinks and snacks were great, and far better than we expected after some of the reviews - burgers, chips, crisps, ice cream, beer, G&T, frozen cocktails etc. Entertainment wasn't great but we didn't expect much. Couple if negatives thay stuck with me - pool lifeguard should have been much more attentive, and the lady at the gift shop was rude, grumpy and unhelpful. All in all, we would definitely return to the hotel again, and plan to do so.

En general muy bueno,tranquilo,el colchon era comodo y el personal muy amable..con salidas cercanas para autovias y ha 5 min en coche del balcon de europa ..el jacuzzi del spa entra con la habitacion y te deja nuevo,despues del viaje la piscina no es muy grande pero esta bien tiene un mini gym para hacer deporte con lo justo bici,cinta y algunas pesas..el desayuno variado tipo buffet en la planta de abajo..

Lovely hotel for what we paid, staff were very friendly and helpful - great facilities from the pool and terrace area to the lively sports bar with singers a few times a week. Breakfast was good and we had one evening meal there which was an Indian themed night with lots of choice (excellent dhal soup!). We also managed to get a sunbed each on both occasions that we wanted one! It's a ten minute walk to the beach and 20 mins into the beautiful town of Nerja, which was perfect for us! There was also a 'spa' (small heated indoor pool and jacuzzi) which we made use of for an hour and a few gymnasium equipment machines to use.

Stayed 9 nights, this is NOT a four star hotel by european standards I’d say 3 star would reflect the hotel better. Location is ok, about a 20minutes walk from the town (all up hill) and 15 minutes from nearest and most popular beach. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. There always a kettle and mugs but no tea, coffee, sugar etc, so why the point of kettle at all?! Staff were generally ok but not overly friendly or helpful. Pool are is nice but again pool is small. We had the breakfast once during our stay, it standard nothing special. There is a supermarket across the road which was handy for water, breakfast etc. hotel has entertainment most nights but we didn’t bother with it.

Nice staff, clean rooms, some of which have been updated recently. We had half board and found food was very good, plenty of it and reasonable choice. There was entertainment every evening in the bar area, which was generally good. The hotel is located about 15 minute walk from the town (uphill on the way back) with plenty of restaurants and shops. There is a cheap bus service but this doesn't run during the siesta hours, so if you don't like walking this could be a problem. We walked in every day and it wasn't a problem for us. We had a modern room at the front above the cafe/bar but this was very noisey in the evening and night, after 3 nights of not sleeping we asked to move to a quieter room. They offered us a room at the back of the hotel which was a little dated, but much bigger and very quiet. We changed rooms and everything was fine from then on. The staff were very pleasant about the room change and we were glad we had asked to move. Only other gripe was that we understood there was an indoor pool. In fact this was part of the spa and was very small, also because of the package we were on we had to pay to use it 8 euros each for one hour! We discovered that other people were using it but not paying! Didn't really understand this.

Friendly , lovely hotel. Comfortable stay ( pillows not so comfortable).Very clean . Have spent time on 3 occasions in the past and enjoyed . We always feel at ease when cleanliness is of high standard . Although there is always a salad bar food could be looked at and cater for vegetarians too .On this occasion no evening meal menus available beforehand to view. Glad that tv at night has more channels. In house entertainment not so exciting!

The Jacuzzi, The Location. The Balcony. The Bed. The BBQ.

Plenty of space with a complete kitchen unit, a seating area on the terrace, a jacuzzi (if you want to use it, you have to pay €10) and a huge terrace on the pent house I stayed in on the top floor. It's perfect for a couple or a solo traveller. The beach Playa Carabeille is right under the apartment, and the walk to the centre/Balcony of Europe, etc, is a beautiful 10 minutes walk or even less.. The communication and checki8n/checkout were very smooth. And I'm really grateful for them to allow me a very early check-in

Location was excellent, a few steps from the beach and a few minutes walk to the Balcon. Cafés and bars on the doorstep. Easy parking (permit provided on request) a couple of minutes drive away and stopping outside in the street to load and unload seems to be entirely acceptable! Apartment was spacious, clean and cool, comfortable beds, English telly if that's your thing. Good shower. Nice terrace with a view of the sea one way and the mountains the other. Staff responsive and helpful via messaging in advance and messaged to check all was OK when we arrived. Pool was great.

These apartments were fantastic, very clean and spacious with a balcony and air conditioning. everything was within walking distance, and a 3 minutes walk away from the beach, perfect location. The owners also have a bar/restaurant downstairs below the apartments, and the food was amazing and a very reasonable price also. I couldn’t fault these apartments in any way at all and will definitely return

The location 10 mins walk to the beach/town. Immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. Lovely views of the mountains, where we relaxed with a glass of wine on the (huge terrace) one evening to decide which one to hike the next day! Well equipped in the apartment with everything needed for our 2 day stay, loungers table and chairs on the terrace. When we requested last minute parking on the day we arrived, the owner sorted it straight away. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very clean and well managed. The beds were comfortable, all the kitchen equipment you would need for a short holiday. Location is excellent and the roof terrace is a real bonus. Clean towels provided regularly. Very good communication with the owner.

The apartments were ideally situated, close to all amenities, restaurants, bars, supermarket. The apartments were lovely , there is a rooftop for sunbathing also table and chairs well as sunbeds. There are a few steps to the apartment, also to the rooftop . Toiletries were Provided for the bathroom and for kitchen was tea coffee, water, binbags washing up liquid .our hosts were lovely and nothing was to much , they were their to help us if needed. Definitely a place to enjoy your holiday .

Great location. A few minutes to Balcon area and similarly to bus stop and supermarket. Loads of restaurants close by. Yet quiet calle. Got a flu which confined me to apartment for a few days and landlady was very helpful. GP and pharmacy within 200 metres. Would seek it out for future trips.

This villa surpassed all of our expectations. It is absolutely spotless and very spatial both inside and out. The Pool and Jacuzzi are clean and very well kept. The BBQ and outdoor dining areas are excellent. The villa is equipped with absolutely everything you might need while on holiday - there was not one single item we needed that was not available in the villa! Mirek is an exceptional host and it is very obvious that every effort has been put in place to make the guest's stay as perfect as possible, Thank you Mirek for making our week so enjoyable.

Super swimming pool and barbecue facilities, close to caves of Nerja and walks in the hills with lovely views, short walk to Maro with some bars and local shop, great beach in Maro (a bit of a longer walk than anticipated if you have kids, take cash if you want to get the bus back up the hill!). House had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts, who live next door. We asked for more towels and were given them on the same day. Excellent communication. Very close to caves which were a really great attraction. Pretty village in walking distance. Pool was beautiful. Hot tub has a wonderful view of the sea.

Access to jacuzzi which could also be covered from the sun. Size of bedrooms. Top floor for sunbathing. Right in the centre of Nerja. Staff very helpful.

Excellent location. It was clean and very well equipped. The host was very helpful and was at hand with any queries. They arranged the return taxi transfers which were prompt and friendly.

The location of the property was excellent, steps away from restaurants and bars. The swim spa was brilliant Ava all three terraces were beautiful.

The room was spotlessly clean with a large terrace overlooking the pool area and amazing view of the surrounding area and the beautiful blue sea, it really was exceptional. Each morning at breakfast, we were greeted by a young lady with a big happy smile and a small bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and tea. There was an incredible selection of fresh fruit salads, home made yoghurts, continental meats and cheeses, pastries, breads, dried fruit, cereals and home made cakes, and as if that wasn't enough to choose from, you could also ask for hot food such as omelettes or fried eggs and bacon. The extra bonus is, whilst eating this amazing breakfast, you are sat looking out to spectacular views of the sea and surrounding area - just breathtaking !!! The Hostel owner is very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Clean beach towels/ towels for around the pool area are available to use free of charge.

Everything. The room is really clean with comfortable bed as well as relaxing balcony where you can enjoy the amazing seaview. The setup of the common area is also aesthetic and clean. There’s a small area with microwave, coffee machine and kettle. In combination with the small fridge in the room, light cooking is no problem. Breakfast is high quality, too. Fresh fruit, fresh brewed coffee, fresh made eggs with tapas, yogurt and co. I can’t ask for more! Swimming pool and the relaxing area is also really clean with good setup. Def recommended!

We had a fabulous stay at Casa Mercedes. It exceeded all expectations. The location is a few minutes walk away from the centre of Nerja in a quiet residential area. The hostal is beautifully clean, well laid out with wonderful views down to the sea. The facilities are exceptional, with a lovely pool area too. Breakfasts are amazing, in a bright dining room with amazing sea views. There is a wide range of items on offer every day, fresh produce and homemade items including jams and cakes, as well as cooked to order breakfast items too. The family run hostal is a credit to them. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We hope to visit again one day in the future.

Breakfast was amazing! Mercedes and her family were welcoming and worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. We had a smaller room with a balcony with sea views, bathroom was equipped with lovely toiletries, fridge had wine, water and cava, which was great as we arrived on a Sunday and shops were closed - wine was €8, water was €1. The pool area was lovely and there was always a place to sunbathe. Ideally located not far from the beach, centre (Balcón de Europa-wow) was a 10/15 min walk. We found the breakfast the highlight of our stay, no need for lunch as we were full until our evening meal out. We ate out at Raw lounge on the beach and the Cave bar/restaurant. Visited Frigilliana on the bus €1.30 each way.

This is a little gem. The property is older, but it was well-maintained and our bed was very comfortable. We had a cute balcony with a view of the Mediterranean. It was walking distance to the beach (10 minutes down a steep hill) where there were many cute restaurants, and some shops. Breakfast was delicious, and the owners were super friendly and helpful. They had towels we could use for the beach.

Firstly, the location was excellent. Easy access to all that the area has to offer, restaurants, beaches, shopping, etc. but it's a quiet enough street that it's nice and quiet. The room was great, with a comfortable king bed, large closet and with a modern and clean bathroom. The rooftop balcony was also lovely, with really nice views of the mountains and ocean. Great place to have our morning coffee. Our room was also cleaned every day and the staff were wonderful, including Tanya the owner/host. She checked in on us months in advance as well as closer to our stay. She gave us amazing restaurant recommendations and was always available to answer any questions we had. It was just a lovely experience!

Beautifully decorated boutique hotel in a central location with an amazing rooftop terrace. We chose a room with balcony which was on the smaller side with a double bed. Rooms that have a Juliet balcony face the street which can become a bit noisy during the night. Some ear plugs and it was fine. Powerful walk in shower and very effective air conditioning. Use of a fridge beside the terrace to store cold items was ideal. The rooftop terrace had lots of different options for sitting, lounging or enjoying a quiet drink looking at the mountains. The supermarket was very handy only 5 minutes away and the area had lots of local bars and restaurants to choose from.

The roof terrace was amazing and provided a beautiful place to relax. This was particularly useful to us as we had very good weather and I was unfortunately suffering from a bad chest infection. This haven of tastefully decorated and relaxed seating helped massively when I couldn't get out and about as much as I'd have liked. The microwave and fridge provided in that area also came in very useful for small snacks and drinks. The room though very small was comfortable and the blinds shut out the noise and light meaning a good nights rest(apart from my coughing LOL) A really good shower, safe and good wardrobe space completed the facilities. It is 2mins from the bus station and in a street that leads straight into the tapas bars in Nerjas centre. All the shared corridors and stairs were full of beautiful decor and were a credit to the owner Tanya who has incredible taste in interior design. She was also very helpful organising our taxis to and from the airport and meeting us on arrival on our very unsocial timimg of 2am. The decor would be hard to beat and was far better than any 5*hotel I've stayed in.

The location is perfect and only minutes from the Balcon. Our host Tanya was amazing and she keeps a beautiful boutique that is spotless throughout. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous for sunbathing and chilling out. There is a fridge and microwave up on top for keeping drinks and food. There is a kettle with teas & coffees & biscuits replenished every morning, and a flat screen t.v in the bedroom with BBC, RTE, Netflix etc. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and toiletries, and the the shower was fantastic.The bed was very comfortable. This boutique is one of the best places to stay in Nerja. It comes highly recommended..

The location was perfect . The room was small but adequate plenty of wardrobe space & the bathroom luxurious. Two single beds as I was with my son which were extremely comfy. The roof terrace was beautiful and the views gorgeous. Even a shower for when we checked out on the roof terrace. It was cold but refreshing.

The view from the room! Spectacular! The mountains on the left, the whitewashed houses spilling down the hillside to the ocean and beach on the right. You are close enough to the beach to walk to it. Our room had a huge patio with 4 comfortable chairs. The room is good sized as well as the bathroom. The shower has plenty of hot water and a rubber non-slip mat (a rarity!) In addition to the private patio, there are several areas where you can sit outside to relax, read or work. There is daily maid service. The restaurant is just below the rooms and shares the same awesome view. Breakfast was wonderful with many options for a hot meal. Our last morning we had to leave early so the night before they prepared a packed breakfast that we could eat at the airport. The restaurant is deservedly very popular. We had a lovely dinner there. The hosts, from Brighton, England, are very helpful. They've done a beautiful job of renovating and creating an oasis.

Very friendly personal welcome from all the staff. The bedroom and shower room were comfortable, spacious and immaculately clean, complete with a decent size balcony offering a marvellous view of the bay. Alix, our host, was very helpful and presented us with a most delicious breakfast cooked by her husband Kevin. Off street parking was also much appreciated. We enjoyed a brief exploration of Nerja - the centre of town being a very short distance away. Our only regret was that we were only there for one night but we have promised ourselves another trip and a longer stay at Hostal Avalon. Many thanks Alix and Kevin and your wonderful staff.

Beautiful room with a huge comfy bed. Very clean. All the amenities- Fridge, kettl, hair dryer. Very quiet air con which was great as hot nights. Beautiful balcony with Seaview and Mountain views. Lovely breakfast included and amazing staff. Spanish and UK TV and radio. Even though very hot weather the hotel provided lovely shaded spots to escape the heat. I have also eaten dinner here prior to staying, which is highly recommended. Oh and amazing cocktails 🍸

Wonderful views from the bedroom balcony, the rooftop seating area and the dining terrace. Really liked the owners and staff who were very friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The delicious fresh locally-sourced food for breakfast and dinner was exceptional, including several vegetarian options.

Avalon is a beautiful rustic guest house. Her owners do her proud. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice and served with home made bread. Evening meal on the terrace was exceptional, views from the terrace of mountains and the sea were stunning. Our room with spacious, private balcony was lovely. All in all a beautiful place with friendly owners and lovely staff. Alix, thankyou for looking after us so well ! Lovely memories to treasure.
